bitpaygym SKULL CRUSHERS - If you enjoy my content, make sure to follow me, @bitpaygym for daily fitness content 😁. - Here’s a solid post from @nattyknowledge on skull crushers. I think it’s time we change the name of this exercise from skull crushers to lying tricep extensions. They are called skull crushers because the bar theoretically comes to your forehead and if you go too far, you’ll hit your head 😂...😢. - However, bringing the bar to the top of your forehead will not only place added stress on your elbows but the range of motion is not optimal for your triceps. When you bring the bar slightly behind your head, you will notice less pressure on your elbows and you will also increase the range of motion of the exercise to further stimulate your triceps. If you’re still training at home and don’t have access to any equipment, you can try tricep extension pushups. bitpaygymTHE BEST SPLIT by @roballenfitness - Great post by my friend Rob here as always! Here he's showing us the best combination of splits within the set number amount of days. Remember just because you like to go to the gym several days doesn't mean that that split if right for you if you are NOT able to perform with consistency!!! Please read what he has to say down below. - - "What’s YOUR split? 👇🏼👇🏼 . Generally, when someone says that something is “the best” it means that it’s the best for them. It doesn’t mean that it’s the best for you. If your buddy has been training for 10 years and you’re just starting out, his workout plan probably isn’t going to be ideal for you. Your goals, experience, free time, injuries, diet, stress level, sleep quality etc will determine the best workout split/routine for you . This graphic gives you a starting point. If you can commit to 4 days a week then and upper and lower day twice a week each is a great place to start 👍🏼 . If you are just starting out then start SLOWLY. Try 2x a week at first and then (if you’ve been consistent) add another day each month. Do not start at 7 days/per week and miss half of them - you’ll lose motivation and the amount of discipline required for that level of effort will be too demanding and you’ll give up. You are not only training your muscles but also your ability to self discipline yourself 🧠 - Once you can master that then you will be in great shape for the rest of your life 😉 . The exercises here are examples and can be changed for others (as long as you are working the same muscles) 😊 . However, whether you’re limited by your dietary preferences or by the amount of time you have to prepare food, there are options. Not all of these options are pure protein sources as a lot of them include carbs and/or fat as well. Further, the quality of these foods is not equal as I would not suggest using bacon and burgers as your primary protein sources each day. Too many calories of any source will make you gain weight and fat does have the most calories per gram which is why high fat foods are typically also higher in calories. - However, fats are essential in our diets and it is important to include healthy fat in your diet. All of these foods contain healthy fat and you should incorporate at least some into your diet in moderation. It's important to realize that eating too much healthy fat will still result in weight gain. Although eating healthy is one part of the equation to gain or lose weight, tracking your overall macros and calories is the most determinative factor. It only requires being in a caloric deficit which means consuming fewer calories than you burn. The difficulty is actually adhering to it when hunger becomes an issue. Here are six tips that will help you deal with hunger and/or make staying in a caloric deficit easier. - Black coffee has 0 calories and acts as an appetite suppressant. Drinking it during the day can help you deal with hunger. Drinking it black is an acquired taste but you get used to it. - Low calorie fruits like watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries have very few calories per gram compared to other fruits. They can help fill you up while not contributing too much to your overall calories for the day. - Just like low calorie fruits, veggies are also low in calories but are relatively filling. They can help you feel fuller without you having to consume too many calories. - Carbonated water or diet sodas have 0 calories but the flavor can help with a sweet tooth and the carbonation helps you feel fuller. If you’re someone who’s against any kind of sweetener, feel free not to drink them. Personally, I think they’re fine in moderation. - Intermittent fasting condenses your eating into a smaller window of time. As a result, you are less likely to overeat since you’re more likely to feel full when you’re eating fewer, larger meals. - Lastly, walk more! The more calories you burn, the more calories you can get away with while still being in a caloric deficit.
