i just got to prof. geto pt. 6 and it's so good!! i loved it so much!! this is defo, defo my fav series on tumblr atm xxx

tbh i have a lot of work currently, so i'm sorry this message isn't as long as it should be, but i just really wanted to let you that i really enjoyed this part!!!

as someone who has studied philosophy & loves philosophy & wants to do a phd in philosophy, i adore this series.

i love it so, so much & i think you tackled that side of the fic so, so well xxx it really, really made me smile hard xx

but i am also just so impressed by how well you crafted this story!! it's so good xx it's such a compelling plot <33 you're so good at plotting & picking out which scenes to focus on

and your writing style!! so, so good xxx looks publish-ready and the fact that you barely edit amazes me!! and this comes from a serial over-editor <33 i adore you & your writing xxx

professor geto is literally my loml xxx i love, love, love the way you write suguru xx i think you're one of the rare people who really gets his character?? your suguru feels like suguru and honestly? perhaps because i'm really tired, but i feel like you honestly do more justice to suguru than akutami

but with regards to this part specifically <33 i loved it xx i think you tackled the break-up/make-up really well & you honestly made everyone likeable (esp our main leading lady, suguru & yuta)

i loved, loved, loved the panic -> suguru helping with citations scene xx i honestly felt the anxiety so potently & i think you represented that feeling so, so well (...tbh it felt super, super familiar!!)

and then suguru helping out? dropping everything and helping?? i honestly thought that was so cute xx

and ah!! that scene in his office!! don't even get me started on how sexy, wonderful, amazing prof. geto is xx :))

(but also the ice cream scene with yuta was really memorable & fun & such a cool visual image!)

i had so much fun reading this series & i am sincerely really, really looking forward to extra credits!! and all of the ideas look so good!! i saw the poll and i fell in love with all of the options <33

(and there is just something about suguru having a poodle that is super duper cute?? i just love that visual image!!)

lastly, i feel like i just really want to leave a little thank you note to you for writing this series in the first place!!! i know it takes a lot of time, energy and confidence to write something as long as this!! and you did such a good job!!! such, such a good job!! i wish i could congratulate you in person on your efforts xx

ahhh thank you babe — prof geto is so special to me, I love writing it so much. geto is a character that I kin so much and to write any character in an AU it’s sometimes difficult to keep the essence of the character in tact. but I’m glad you think I was able to 😭😭💕 and the fact you think I do better than Gege?? 😭😭😭🫶 are you trying to make me offer you the world??

I’m so glad you think I tackled the break up and make up will — it was really important to me to handle those things with care because they are so pivotal to the characters. especially in regards to geto and reader because yuta definitely got the short end, so I really wanted to make it so that the pair weren’t hated by the end lmao. I think that’s why this part was so long to really flesh out how reader and yuta fall apart.

that scene with the panic was hannah’s (my beta reader) idea — and the citations came to me as a perfect idea because I think everyone in academia had a nightmare experience with citations. we all need a suguru in that situation — I wish I had a suguru when that happened to me 😭

I’m so excited for the extra credit fics I’m definitely gonna be writing some soon!! I can’t wait to write the poodle — I only wonder what his/her name would be 💕🥹

Self Rec Tag 💕

I swear I was tagged by loml @jl-micasea-fics but I cannot find the original post BUT STILL I was tagged to rec five of my fics I'm fond of and then tag five(?) other people!

Learning to Share - Snowstorms, power outages, threesomes after too much box wine. My baby, my love, Learning to Share was my first Mystery Member fic I was super proud of and it has everything. SPOILERS It has snooty yet soft Doyoung, it has abrasive yet passionate Yuta, it has a cameo from roommate Ten UGH. It's perfect, and I still adore how it ends.

After Hours - Expensive cups of coffee, fake names, impromptu late night adventures. After Hours came after a long hiatus and I had accidentally been wrecked by SPOILERS Seungmin and needed to get a lot of energy out while getting my head back in the game. Sometimes you write a character in the background that you fall in love with and they keep showing up, so this was a terrific way to tie up another branch of an interconnected storyline that I already hold very dear to me. MORE SPOILERS I do think I have more from these two coming up, but in the background of something else we like. Hint: our favorite asshole is there.

Exposure - Paparazzi, unexpected deviancy, public indecency. And sometimes a fic continues to haunt you. Exposure is so gross but so sinful and spicy and I think it's just the right length for how debauched it is in concept. Like it's not even that filthy by my own standards, but the general plot beats and the protracted implications of the storyline are ridiculous. I adore it. I adore Kim Jungwoo. Horny devil Kim Jungwoo supremacy.

Prowl - Werewolves, vampires, love triangles. Prowl. Is. That. Bitch. She is my ride or die. She has shown me what I love about writing and has given me the confidence to write original works again. I love Chan. I love Jisung. But, maybe unexpectedly in our sphere of fics, I love Reader, and that may even be because I'm picturing her characterization in the converted version. This Reader is flawed, she's messy and she's selfish. She's grappling with her own monstrous side while navigating the monstrous mess she's walked into. Writing the finale is tearing me apart and I'm loving every minute of it.

This Home is a Tomb - Misguided revenge, catching messy feelings, and grand larceny. In everything I've learned about my own writing so far, I love thrillers, sordid romance, and drama. This Home is a Tomb has all of that and more. I can't say much more without giving anything away, because Part 2 is finally coming out soon.

1. Orochimaru: Odd choice, I know, but he’s so morbidly funny to me. Also the gender he serves is off the charts

2. Faye Valentine: My original fav!! LOML!!! She’s so amazing to me, and her character arc means so much

3. Gren: God he’s so special to me. I did an academic project on him for a reason.

4. Thorin Oakenshield: Quite possibly my oldest favorite. His arc is very important and personal to me and I cry about him often.

5. Azula: Also very important and personal to me, but also (I guess?) a bit of an odd choice. I cry about her often as well and I will always be a sapphic Azula truther.

6. Yuta Okkotsu: I sympathize with him intensely, and the way the mangaka uses him to examine bullying, suicidal ideation, insomnia and anxiety feels very real.

7. Nanami Kento: Another character I sympathize with a lot. He’s a depressed adult who misses his childhood best friend and wants to do the right thing, but is frequently too burnt out to try. Akutami really turned it out when they wrote his character.

8. Vi: Eldest daughter!! Good butch rep!! Loves her sister, even when she struggles so very much to understand her.

9. Mel Medarda: She’s so pretty and she’s trying so hard to live up to her mother’s expectations and to just keep it all together. She’s deeply traumatized and manipulative and her pain feels very raw

This was cool! I love talking abt my favs.
