On your fourth grade, the teacher assigned you to sit next to Yuichiro. Being Yuichiro's seatmate was alright, but sometimes he could get a little snappy. Especially when something happened to him during recess (probably couldn't make another kid the "it" while playing tag). So you let him be most of the time.

You didn't know Yuichiro had a twin brother until one day he didn't come to school because of the flu. You didn't pay him any mind but you were shocked when you saw "him" going to the restroom. You weren't exactly his close friend, so you just waited outside until "he" finished.

Afraid and in shock, you paced back and forth in front of the restroom. What if something bad happened to Yuichiro and his spirit had come to haunt you? You were so ready to run to your homeroom class if "Yuichiro" didn't come out in five minutes.

Bless your poor innocent soul because "Yuichiro" did come out. Nothing prepared him for being trapped in a kabedon position by you.

"Teacher said you're sick! Why are you here?!"

"What do you mean I'm sick--"

"I didn't see you the whole day!"

"Huh?"

"You're not a ghost, right?"

He tilted his head, "Oh, I think you're mistaken. I'm Mui. Yui's at home. He is sick."

And that was how you met Muichiro.

You learned that Muichiro was Yuichiro's younger twin brother. He's from another class, but after knowing you he often visited your class to chat with you and Yuichiro.

Unlike Yuichiro, Muichiro was friendlier. He let you braid his hair, lent you his blueberry-scented eraser, and even taught you how to draw Pikachu. Muichiro also let you call him Mui. He told you only his family and closest friends called him that, so it made you feel special.

Mui was a soft boy. You sat with him during recess and talked about random things. Cartoon, what you wanted to be when you grow up, doctor appointment, tooth fairy...

You didn't really know when did it happen the first time, but one day you looked at him and thought "Wow, Mui's really pretty."

You started braiding his long, black hair more often, told him more jokes to make him laugh, drew him a lot (and by a lot, I mean a lot) of his favorite cartoon characters. They were bad, you couldn't really tell which character you drew, but Muichiro always thanked you.

You'd like to think that maybe Muichiro did like you too. He would hold your hand when you both were running down the hallway, playing tag with the other kid. He would also give you random things he found like flowers, marbles, stickers from kids magazines.

You didn't remember every little things that happened between the two of you, but you did remember that Muichiro brightened your days and made your school years more memorable.

By the time you started the 6th grade, though, everything went downhill. A few kids noticed your little crush for Muichiro. However, as we all know, grade schoolers can be a little mean. They started to tease you. You were afraid that Muichiro would find out and stopped being your friends.

The thing was, those little rascals couldn't tell the difference between Muichiro and Yuichiro. Since the fifth grade, the twins had been put in the same homeroom class. Differentiating them became more difficult for kids who weren't their friends.

You were visiting their class one morning, looking for Muichiro. You met Yuichiro instead. You could tell it was him, because he didn't immediately talk about the latest episode of that one cartoon you liked.

"Hi, Yuichiro. Where's Mui?"

"He forgot his lunchbox so he's waiting for our mom--"

"Ew, Tokito! Stop flirting with them! It's not even the first period yet!"

You froze in your place as Yuichiro turned to the kid who jeered at you both. "What did you say?"

"Eh? Aren't you two dating?"

"(Y/N) likes you, Tokito!"

You couldn't meet Yuichiro's eyes as he stared down at you, "You like me?"

"N-no... I... It's not..."

"(Y/N)?" A hand was placed on your shoulder, "Are you okay? Yui, why are you staring at (Y/N) like that?"

You lifted your gaze and sure, Mui was back with a lunchbox on his hand. "M-Mui, I..."

"Oh, shit!" "Oi, language!" "Oh my, I think we got the wrong Tokito twin!" "Does it matter? They look the same!" "Which one do you actually like, (Y/N)?" "Yeah, which one is more handsome?" "You can tell them apart? Cool!" "Pick one, (Y/N)" "Yeah, pick one!" "Pick one! Pick one! Pick one!"

As the kids chanted, you frantically look around trying to find an escape. You were panicking, afraid, annoyed, so you couldn't think straight. You looked at Yuichiro and he looked back at you in (what you thought was) disgust. You turned to Muichiro who was just staring at you, wide eyes, lips parted like he was about to say something.

You couldn't hold it any longer so you just cried, which made a few of the kids laugh.

"(Y/N)..." Muichiro placed his hand back to your shoulder, trying to calm you down.

"Stay away, Mui!"

"But (Y/N)..."

"I said stay away!" You shoved past him and pushed the other kids out of your way as you ran out of the classroom.

Ever since that day, you stopped seeing both Muichiro and Yuichiro. Other kids still teased you but they gradually stopped because they found another target to bug. You didn't even say anything to them during the graduation ceremony, even though you could feel Muichiro's eyes on your back.

Things got better when you started middle school because you moved to another town. A start fresh, exactly what you needed. You thought you would find someone new there, but to no avail, your mind kept wandering back to a familiar pair of mint green eyes and gleeful laugh.

You gave up trying to find a lover, and sailed through high school and first two years of uni without sparing a thought for teenage romance.

That was until you found him, tracing his fingers on the spines of the library books. His hair was still as long as you could remember, the only thing different was the mint green ombre. The library was off-limit for outsiders, so he must be a student. How could you not see him before around the campus?

You realized you've stared at him for too long because the next thing you knew, he was staring back at you.

"(Y/N)?" His eyes widened.

"Uhh... hi...?" You let out a nervous laugh. "Long time no see... uh..."

His eyes softened and his lips quirked up. "It's Mui."

"Yeah... should've known it's you. Yuichiro hates me, so he wouldn't greet me like that."

"What makes you think so?"

"You know... when that happened..."

"Ah, yeah. The fuckening."

Muichiro cursing was something you did not expect, which made you snort. "The fuckening, indeed."

"Don't worry, he doesn't hate you. We were wondering, though..."

"Eh?"

"...which one of us did you fancy?"

You wanted the floor to swallow you whole right then and there. Even though it had been eight years, you couldn't help but blush. Muichiro waited patiently, holding back a giggle as he watched you struggle.

"W-well, wasn't it o-obvious..."

Muichiro tilted his head. He walked towards you and ruffled your hair. God, you didn't even notice how tall he had grown.

"If you're still up for it now... and if you're free... we can grab a coffee. My treat. I'm sure drawing each other deformed Pikachu and Princess Peach doesn't count as a date now."

You sighed, trying to control your heartbeat. Mui chuckled again and waited for your answer.

"Y-yeah, I'd love to."

"Okay." He put his arm around your shoulder and led your hyperventilating ass out of the library.

Tokito Yuichiro- A Bad Feeling

It was so obvious…Of course you have a crush on his twin brother… Muichiro is kind and considerate to everybody he meets whilst him… he’s rude and cold that most Hashira avoid him like the plague

No woman wants a man like him…

It makes sense that you don’t like him in that way. Yuichiro was quite heartbroken as he watched you through the thick strands of his long black to mint green fade hair. Sat besides the brother he had a personal love rivalry against, Muichiro didn’t even sense Yuichiro’s distress over his messy lovelife

What he heard that day as he wondered over to your Estate for a visit. Kanroji suggesting you were interested in Muichiro when he drifted around the corner to a halt, it all clicked whilst you nervously stuttered at the Love Hashira’s confident statement about who you truly crushed on. He has never been nice to you once, all in spite how kind you are to him

You were just being a genuinely good and kind person, something he is not. You were just being friendly to him since he is the identical brother of your long term crush, the one you want. Unaware to Yuichiro, his cemented view on which Tokito Brother you liked was wrong. He didn’t know that you actually liked him, not Muichiro

Sitting besides Muichiro with a sweet smile and your lunch bento box laid calmly on your lap, looking directly at the Mist Hashira to politely listen to his words as he blabbered on and on so cutely about him and his twin’s efforts at their shared missions. Fishing through your bento, you had no clue Yuichiro was sat up on the short brick wall wrapping around the thick tree, facing to the other way from where you and his twin brother chatted loudly and cheerfully

Yuichiro grumbled in pure defeat after a few more seconds, throwing down the bento box he just couldn’t force down his dry throat anymore as he stands and stomps over to the laughing duo behind him. Both you and Muichiro raise your heads up at the Haze Hashira as his gorgeous mint greens burned with a charring jealousy at his own flesh and blood. Sending a shiver of intimidation down Muichiro’s spine, his older twin glared at him like he was a demon

Yuichiro aggressively pinches your wrist and yanks you up just before you could roll out your concerned question of his name. His baggy and loose uniform matching Muichiro covered his limbs as he lifted you up onto your feet and begun dragging you carelessly away from your spot as you felt your cheeks flame in pale rosy red blush

You were a little scared that he was mad at you but feeling his grasp and his eyes on you made you feel so flustered… you just really liked him

Yuichiro finally stopped in place but didn’t dare let go of his intense grip, twisting his head around to scan over for his younger brothers before he twirls on his heels in a quick pace to face you, those mint greens made you feel a amazing wave of power and beauty overwhelm you as you clamped your lips shut to avoid making him any more angry than he seemed to be

“Can you… not talk to my twin? You’re wasting your time and your effort with making friends when you should divert your time into training and being a good Hashira, Dokusha”

Day One: First Encounter

Yui and Mui were out collecting some wood as normal until one moment, Mui happened to stumble upon another pair of identical twins; you and your twin.

Yui, being the cold-but-caring older twin brother he is, went back to get Mui after he noticed that he wasn't following him anymore. But he became equally shocked when he noticed who Mui was staring at.

The Tokito Twins knew you since you were a close friend of theirs as you often paid them a visit and traded resources. But honestly, they never expected you to also have an identical twin.

Yes, you've mentioned that you had a sibling, but you never specified! So you can't really blame them for almost having their soul leave their body when they saw your twin. You guys looked completely identical. Hell, they even thought that was you from another world!

What kicked off this entire encounter was you finally managing to convince your twin to come along with you to help you harvest some vegetables since you were tired of standing in the sun alone for a long time without any help.

And maybe also because you wanted to introduce your twin and the Tokito Twins to each other.

Yes, you've brought up about the Tokito Twins multiple times. But they've never met in person. So you decided that today, you would finally introduce them to your twin properly.

And, here you are!

ALL TOO WELL PART III

Yuichiro x Reader

A month before the junior & senior prom and everyone are already talking about it.

You had seen proposals for your classmates and other classes. Some had really made an effort to impress the girls and always ends up with a yes for their prom date.

And one proposal that had caught your attention and the tokito twins.

There was this guy whos a member of dance group and they perform in a crowd as a dance proposal, someone took the blindfolded girl in the middle before the performance started. They dance gracefully and by the end, the guy approached the girl with a bouquet of flowers and chocolates but the girl had decline his prom proposal.

It was humiliating and it was a gossip for days, which turned Muichiro a nervous wrecked, he planned to proposed to Mari as his prom date for this coming prom which also turns out to be valentine's day and upon hearing the rejection of a proposal that almost everyone dream of. He had lost every ounce of confidence in him.

It didn't help that Mari has been receiving lots of letters and flowers from admirers and she flat out says no, saying she's not interested.

"C'mon Mui, Mari would say yes no matter what" You try to reassure your friend even you are over at their home.

"But what if she says no?" Muichiro sigh, feeling his spirits down.

"How would you know if you won't ask her?" You said, stirring your chocolate drink as you look at him, raising your eyebrow.

"what if she says no?"

"Don't worry, She'll say yes to you and you don't have to make it extra special for Mari to be your prom date" You commented, holding up some of the heart origamis he made to decorate their lawn as his proposal.

"that's why you need to ask her to know the answer?!" Yuichiro exclaim, throwing his hand in exasperation, tired of his younger twin whining about not making an actual action.

"How should I ask her? I don't know what to say" Muichiro whine, panicking as the day of prom approaching.

"tch, you're hopeless" Yuichiro muttered, rolling eyes at his younger twin, he turn to face you, whos currently making heart origami to help Muichiro out.

He pick one origami heart from the table and call out to you, "Hey Y!/n" your ears perked out, slightly tilting your head to gaze up him. "mmm?"

He holds the origami out to you, "Wanna be my prom date?" he casually ask, raising his other hand in a fist for a fist bump.

Picking up question to you as his example to Muichiro, you fist bump him and grab the origami out of his hand, "I would love to" you answered, nodding your head at him while Muichiro watches the both of you.

"See? It's not that hard Muichiro" Yuichiro said, looking back at him

"But you and Y/n are way different" Muichiro whined, looking at the two of you.

Letting out a sigh for a hundred times you pinch the bridge of your nose before you look to Muichiro dead straight to his eyes.

"Listen to me Tokito Muichiro! You're gonna stop whining with your what ifs and you're going to ask her today and get that damn yes" you said, emphasizing each word, as you glare at him with pointy finger.

"But-"

"no buts, now get your ass over here and start decorating your backyard Muichiro" You said, giving him a push.

Muichiro immediately scoop the decoration off the table and proceed to their backyard.

Yuichiro scoff as he watches his retreating brother.

"He's hopeless" He commented, looking back at you, as he shook his head.

.......

"Wheres Muichiro? He skipped the last two period?" Mari asked as the three of you walked out from the school.

"he's not feeling well" you murmured, poor little guy, he's been anxious for this day to ask Mari out that he couldn't sit still.

"What why?" Mari exclaim, worry plaster in her face.

"I don't know" you lied, "how about we go and check on him?" you suggested, it was planned to take her there today to finally ask her.

"oh" was all she said, then she slowly nodded.

"He was okay this morning though" she muttered quietly.

"or he's too nervous to pro - ow Y/n" you jab Yuichiro to his side, a little harsh while giving him a look.

"It's okay Y/n, I knew all along" Mari told you quietly, smiling at you.

Your eyes widen "I uh what do you mean"

"Muichiro will propose for prom date today right?" She chuckled shyly.

You looked Yuichiro dead in the eyes, "YOU TOLD HER?!" you exclaim, pointing an accusing finger at him.

"I did not" Yuichiro quickly denies, hands up in defense.

"Then how did she find out" you angrily retort, shaking him aggressively.

"Calm down Y/n. I just know it, It's pretty obvious the way Muichiro is acting up from the last few weeks" She frantically stops you, giving you an awkward smile.

"OH" you quickly let go of Yuichiro dusting up his crumpled uniform and smiling sheepishly at him. "hehe"

He rolled his eyes at you, "Really Y/n, You don't trust me" he muttered, seemingly slightly upset

"in my defense you almost said it a few minutes ago" you muttered, crossing your arms

You turned to face Mari,

"How did you found out?" you asked.

Mari shrugged, "He keeps telling me he need to ask me something about prom but he chickens out everytime I ask what it is"

"I kinda noticed, but didn't wanna assumed but day by day he became so obvious, all these question, my favorite flowers, what's my dream promprosal" She answers with sheepish smile, whilst you ont he other hand wanted to smack Muichiro for being so obvious, he couldve asked you or his brother for information but no, he went straight to the source.

Way to go Muichiro.

"I didn't want to tell him I know though, so please don't tell him that I knew" She requested.

You quickly nodded, "Of course" you paused, "But it's a yes right?"

She laugh at you, rolling her eyes playfully, "Of course, I've been waiting for him to ask me silly!" She blushes as she said those words, ignoring the fact Muichiro's older twin brother is listening to your conversation.

"Good"

.......

You were supposed to look for a dress for this coming prom with your family but Yuichiro insisted that he wanted to go with you instead since he haven't bought his attire also.

Currently, you're choosing in between what color to pick.

"red?"

"Nah it's screams hate"

"But it also scream love"

"Green?"

"What are you leaves?" "Mari is picking green though"

"What? Her hair is brown"

"so?"

"Brown and Green? Is she a tree?"

You slapped Yuichiro's arm, "ow" "you always bully Mari" "I'm not" "yes you are" "Don't tell me you haven't think os Brown and Green as a tree"

You rolled your eyes, "that's lame ha ha"

You walked past him to look for more dresses on display,

"what about yellow?"

"too bright, you're already a sunshine, no need"

"purple?"

"are you a barney"

"Yuichiro." Your patience is wearing thin, "I didn't bring you here to reject all the colors"

"Im not rejecting them though"

"If I pick a color, you always have a comment with it"

"Did not"

"did to"

"Im just giving my opinion"

"but you rejected all of them"

"Okay, I'll let you pick your color"

"I don't believe you" You muttered, rolling your eyes at him.

For now, you decided to try out any colored dress and see what fits with your skin tone.

"Nuh uh! Too short"

"Too revealing"

"Too boring"

After hours of searching and trying out dresses, you were beyond exhausted. Shopping with Yuichiro isn't so fun.

You tiredly walked out the dressing room, Frown sketch in your face as your reveal yourself to him.

"Ta-da" you lazily said, out of energy, wanting to be home in bed.

"I swear to God if this is not -"

"It's perfect." He cut you off.

You paused, "Really?" a grin slowly creep in your face as you twirl around for it him to show it fully.

"Nah, Next!"

A frown immediately sketch in your face as you stormed towards him.

"You ---" You start to threaten him before he raised his hand defensively, "I'm joking" He laughs upon seeing you expression.

"Yuiii" You whined, "Can you be serious, I'm tired"

His eyes soften, "I'm sorry, but your dress is perfect though, you look like a princess" he murmured, blushing slightly upon saying those words.

You felt butterfly in your stomach upon hearing him.

"Really" you beamed at him, it's rare for him to compliment people and it made you giddy that he compliment you today. A princess.

"Yes" he said softly before nudging you towards dressing area.

"Go change, we're going to buy it"

You nodded happily before you excitely went to change to your clothes.

After purchasing your dress, you finally feel excited for your prom, "I'm excited" you exclaim, giggling as Y the two of you walk.

"Too bad I don't have a date" You muttered quietly but Yuichiro heard you, stopping on his tracks, he turn to look at you straight in your eyes, eyesbrow furrowed in curiosity "What do you mean you don't have a date?"

"I uh, well some of our classmates had asked me but I said no to them" You shrugged, "No one asked except letters dropped in my locker"

"I asked you didn't I?" Yuichiro said, as he step dangerously closer to you, feeling the change of his aura.

"huh?"

"You said you would love to" He frown as he says that.

A sudden click in your head as you remember what he was talking about.

"oh" your eyes widen, looking at him frantically as you try to explain "I thought you were asking me as an example on how to asked someone out" you feel your cheek heat up.

"I'm serious when I asked you Y/n" slight disappointment is clear in his eyes as he says those words, hurt that you didn't take him serious.

"I'm sorry! I mean I would still love to be your prom date if the offer still stands"

He nodded in smiles at you, though the smile didn't reach his eyes.

"Cmon its late let's get you home"

He was quiet the whole time you were walking, just nodding at your words and mumbling yeah or okay, only giving you a light hug than the usual tight hug once you both reach your home.

He quietly said a good night before proceeding to go on his way.

And it stays like that for days, you felt bad. You tried asking him what's wrong but he keep brushing you off that's he's fine.

It didn't help that girls starts approaching him more and more and asking him to be their date and you never heard his answer but you knew he would usually decline or ignore them.

Until one day, you saw him walking besides a girl and laughing with her. Your stomach drop at the sight, that was the girl who keep insisting to be his date. It's weird seeing him laugh with other girls. Whats going on.

And at the same day, he didn't wait for you or walked you home as you both usually do, he texted you that he was busy with something and to catch up later.

You texted him back asking if there's anything wrong but he didn't reply at all. You felt like he was ignoring you all of the sudden. You tried reaching out, but you feel like you're being being avoided and you asked Muichiro what's going on with his brother, but he all he could say that he's fine and nothings wrong.

That's bullshit. Something is wrong.

You wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly back out in your prom date.

One weekend, a week before your prom, he showed up to your place, as he usually do, he ask your parents to take you out since the two of you needed to talk. You knew right there and then that it's about your prom.

Your thought starts running wild, This is it, the last minute cancelation but you reassure yourself and to just come up with excuse that you won't be going anyway if he cancels. But that would be pathetic, he'll find out that you like him if you suddenly wouldn't attend because of it.

Act cool. Act cool. Pretend it doesn't bother you. You silently

A hand on your has startled you from your train of thoughts. "Huh"

"You okay Y/n?" Yuichiro look at you in concern, "You're awfully quiet" He commented, tilting his eyes as he looks at you.

"I-I'm fine" You said, giving him a small smile.

"You sure?" He insisted, he could see right in your facade that something is bothering you.

"mmm." you nodded, he squeeze you shoulder as his reassurance that he's here for you.

Giving him a smile, "I'm fine, Where are we going?" you asked, changing the topic.

A smile slowly sketch in his face, instantly grabbing your wrist and pulling you "Come on"

Your eyes widen in excitement when you realized where the two of you headed, it's a dream place that you always wanted to go.

Looking at him, your eyes glistening with happiness, "I love it" you cheerfully said, clinging your arm around his.

"Good" "I uh. I want to tell you something" he said, gripping your hand on that was around his other arm.

You halt on your steps, your heart starts pounding upon remembering that you two had something to talk about.

Looking at him expectantly, "What is it?" you asked

He dragged you to the nearest bench, you both sat as he stare at the night sky.

"I shouldn't have asked you to be my prom date" Yuichiro started, looking all serious while your heart shatters.

"I mean not on that way" he quickly added upon seeing your smile drop in a beat.

Your heart is pounding as you look at him, anxiously waiting for him to finish.

"When you mentioned that you didn't have a date, it honestly hurt me. We have been friends since childhood and I think I might expected too much, assuming that we would always be there for each other. It was selfish of me to think of that" Yuichiro slightly lower his head as he said those words.

"no you're not selfi-" you started to say but he put a finger on your lips silencing you.

"For the past few days, I kept thinking. I always wanted to be around with you. I wanted to know how your day was, to make sure that you get home safe. At first, I thought because we have a strong bond as a friends, until someone made me realize that wasn't the case."

You were speechless as the more he continue to talk, your heart beating fast, this has been the moment you always dream for.

He smiles at you softly, grabbing your hand gently, soothingly rubbing circles at the back of your hand before he continued,"I was in denial at first, I tested myself, I avoided you but I found myself, asking about you through Muichiro. Watching you walk until you get home safe. I couldn't resist not talking you. It took everything in me not to reply to any of your text"

"And then I figure it out, I like you Y/n"

You began to contemplate if this is just a dream but Yuichiro flickered his finger on your forehead "ow"

"Talk to me" Yuichiro said shyly blushing profusely as he stares at you.

"I uh" You couldn't coherent a word as you were still registering his words into your brain.

He shook his head lightly "You don't have to tell me what you feel right now" He said, brushing the strands off to your face and tucking them in your hair with a flower he picked earlier.

You haven't told anyone that Yuichiro had confessed and even though you were dying to tell Mari immediately, it feel like that moment should be shared between the two of you and you decided to keep it that way.

Upon seeing Yuichiro in your front yard, you excitedly went to answer the door as soon as the doorbell ring, making your family chuckle at your excitement.

"Hi!" and there stood, Yuichiro in his tuxedo wearing a matching color bow with your dress. Your smile widen as you welcome him inside, thanking him as you accept the flower he brought for you.

After taking pictures here and there, you bid goodbye to your family and went on your way, hand and hand.

When you arrived in the venue, Muichiro and Mari are already there waiting for the two of you.

Mari is wearing a blue sky colored dress that fades into white, it perfectly suits with her and Muichiro wearing a matching color with her.

As the event go on, the coordinators choose candidates for the king and queen, prince and princess prom night.

You were ecstatic when a coordinator approaches her, giving her a cut out circle and a number on it, telling her that she's choosen to be a candidate. You almost jump and down in excitement, giving her a push and that's when the coordinator tries to give you the same cut out with different number, you profusely decline shaking your head.

Mari tried to encourage you but you're not having non of it, "You know I have stage fright Mari, and besides I need to cheer for my friends" you chuckle, seeing that Yuichiro and Muichiro had also number with their side.

The show started, one by one, candidates walked gracefully on the stage, modeling as they did so.

You cheered loudly, Mari is smiling cutely, such a beauty. The crowd roar when the tokito twins showed up, Muichiro gave a handsome smile to the crowd while Yuichiro put on a sexy fierce look, your heart melted looking at him.

And the end, Mari is the princess and Muichiro is the prince of the prom night.

You couldn't help but cheer louder when they called Yuichiro as the prom king but stop when they called the prom queen, it was non other than the girl you saw he was laughing with from the other day.

Your smile slowly fades as you watch the girl gave him a side hug. It was like the world slows down as you watch them walked intm the middle for their dance.

The spotlight are fixated on the 4 of them but your eyes never on the two you as focus on Yuichiro's hand on her waist while the girl wrapped her hand around his neck. They look sickening sweet. The girl said something that made Yuichiro blush and laugh slightly.

You couldn't stand it but yet, you continue to watch them as if you're going to break if you turn away now.

As their dance ended, the girl went up to kiss his cheek and that was the final blow.

You turned around and left.

Meeting your childhood crush after years of not talking to each other was something you didn't expect to happen.

Meeting your childhood crush after years of not talking to each other, then went out on countless of dates with him? Never in a million years would you expect that.

Muichiro took you out for a coffee and you both got busy catching up with each other. Muichiro did go to the same university as you, majoring in Music. That's why you've never seen him around before. He was cooped up inside the art department building, practicing until late at night.

You also found out that Yuichiro was supposed to go there as well, but changed his mind last minute and moved to another city. He was studying to become a PE teacher. As expected from Yuichiro. You remembered him running around the school during recess and PE.

You thought your interest in Muichiro was long gone. You always thought that you only remembered him as a childhood crush, someone you couldn't possibly fall for the second time. But boy, were you wrong.

Muichiro was as calm as you remembered, but he had grown so much. You couldn't help but admire his pretty face every time you went out with him. You liked to watch as his slender fingers wrapped around his cup of coffee. You adored the way he wrapped his arm around your shoulder when you both crossed the street, or when he was holding the umbrella as the two of you pushed through the rain to get to a bar.

"I... would like to start over with you, if you don't mind." Muichiro said one night, when the two of you were having dinner in an Italian restaurant. (Again, Muichiro paid for your meal.) It was your nth date, nearly six months after you met him in the library. Yet, you still wondered when did Muichiro start speaking so straightforwardly.

"Ah..." You put your fork down and folded your hands on the table. "...and what will your objective be?"

"Pursuing a romantic relationship with you, of course." Muichiro mimicked your gesture and leaned forward. "If it works then I'll be your bo—no, I'll be your partner. And, if things really, really, work out... then..."

You raised an eyebrow, definitely interested.

"I see." You smiled. "Damn, you really are a man now, aren't you, Mui?"

Muichiro laughed. "I learned a thing or two from Yui. He was a real casanova back in high school. But I'm serious about what I said. If you're down, then we can try it out and date each other. If you're not, then we can be just friends."

You tilted your head from one side to another. Sure, at that point, you've already went out on countless of dates with Muichiro. You were sure he didn't change much, except for the cursing, the smooth talking he adopted from Yuichiro, and of course his appearance. He was still the soft and kind Muichiro you knew, but older and more mature.

"Alright." You finally spoke up. "Yeah, let's do this."

Muichiro let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, covering his face with his hands. "Oh my God, I really thought you were going to reject me."

"I thought you're fine with being friends?"

"Well, yeah, but I prefer to be your partner."

There were no butterflies in your stomach, but you felt your chest grew warm. That's when you kind of figured out, it wasn't just some silly crush. You actually felt safe and content with this new relationship.

Having Muichiro as your partner felt like a fresh air in your hectic uni life. Yes, you two were busy bees, always had something in your schedule. However, you were glad that you could still hang out with Muichiro pretty often. Sometimes, he stopped by your dorm with some take out food, reminding you to eat even when you're drowning in assignments and lab reports.

You used to spend your time doing assignments in the library or in your dorm room. Once you knew Muichiro practiced violin in a small, individual practice room, you preferred going there. You mostly listen to classical pieces as you work, anyway.

You both still went out on dates, going to a restaurant or watch a movie if there was something worth to watch. Your favorite activity to do was hanging out in Muichiro's apartment, talking about anything and everything while you eat dinner. Especially on Saturdays, because it became a routine for you to stay the night.

You loved sleeping with Muichiro because even though you were so close to each other, you still had space to move around. Muichiro only cuddled with you until he fell asleep, humming a random melody from the piece he was working on as he pressed his lips on your forehead. After he drifted off, he would usually scoot away.

One day you woke up in the morning and found that Muichiro was already up. He wasn't next to you, but you could hear him out in the living room. You decided to go to him and ask for your morning kiss.

Muichiro smiled when he saw you walked out of the bedroom. He was on the sofa, talking with someone through his phone. Muichiro stretched out his one arm, motioning you to come closer. You groggily straddled his laps and snuggled up on the crook of his neck, sighing in delight. You always loved how warm Mui was.

"Yeah, just let me know when you're almost here. (Y/N) is here. They just woke up." Muichiro planted a soft kiss on top of your head. "Ah, too bad. Could've been an interesting double date."

You raised your head and frowned. What double date?

"Alright, see you." Muichiro hung up the call and shifted his focus entirely to you. "Good morning."

"Who was it?" You croaked out.

"Ah, that was... Yui. Apparently he's back in town for the weekend. So, he's coming over." Muichiro said.

"Dang..." You huffed, hiding your face back in Mui's neck. "We should get ready. He's coming over soon?"

"Yup. Go freshen up. I'll make the breakfast."

You entrusted Muichiro with breakfast as you showered. Muichiro couldn't cook, so you were quite sure that he was reheating the bagels you bought last night and brew some coffee. You were right.

Yuichiro arrived not long after you finished your breakfast. Muichiro opened the door for him and you watched as the twins interacted with each other. Muichiro was fit, but Yuichiro was ripped. Muichiro told you he was in the kendo club and worked out every day.

"Hi, (Y/N)!"

To your surprise, Yuichiro offered you a fist bump—which you returned.

"Hello!" You sheepishly greeted him. Muichiro stood next to you, wrapping an arm around your waist and kissed your cheek.

"It's been such a long time since I saw you!" Yuichiro said. "Glad to finally find out who you actually like, though."

Your face grew red and Muichiro clicked his tongue. "Stop teasing them. I'll kick your shin, you dick."

"I'll break your violin, you ass." Yuichiro retorted.

You were taken aback by the way the two bantered, but laughed anyway. The image of the past, Tokito twins being innocent kids was completely erased from your mind.

Yuichiro ended up hanging out with the two of you the whole day. You three went out to grab lunch, then randomly decided to play bowling. After dinner, Yuichiro excused himself as he had to go to their parents' house.

"It's really nice meeting you again, (Y/N)." Yuichiro said. "Next time I'll bring my partner over so we can go play bowling, the four of us."

"Sure! Take care, Yui!" You waved as he walked away. Yeah, he finally let you call him Yui.

"Wanna go back to my place?" Mui offered, holding your hand.

"Alright, I don't wanna climb up three flights of stairs to reach my dorm room."

You let Muichiro held your hand, dragging you towards his car. He opened the door for you and put a hand above your head as you slid in, not wanting you to hit your head. After you were seated comfortably, he leaned forward to help you with your seatbelt.

"I got it, Mui." You giggled.

He didn't listen. He clicked the seatbelt into its place before turning his head to you. You smiled at him, having no clue why he looked at you a little bit different.

"What's wrong, Mui—"

The next thing you knew, he closed the gap between the two of you as he crashed his lips against yours. You were taken aback, but you kissed him back. He cupped your face with one hand, the other roamed down to your shoulder and arm before taking your hand in his. He pulled away, kissing along your jaw and ended up sucking on a spot behind your ear. You gripped his hand tightly, which made him chuckled.

Mui pecked your lips once again and kissed the back of your hand that he's holding. His mint green eyes were staring straight into your soul.

"I love you, (Y/N)."

"I love you too, Mui."

He smiled widely and closed the door. You watched as he quickly circled the car and got behind the steering wheel.

"What was that for?" You asked him.

"Hmm? Oh," Mui shrugged, "I just love you so much."

"Hmm..."

"...and I'm glad to know that you chose me over Yui, back then."

You rolled your eyes and snorted. "Yeah, no shit. I barely spoke with him."

Mui just shook his head and hit the gas slowly, driving the car away from the bowling alley's parking lot.

Yuichiro can barely tolerate his own twin’s foolishness with how annoying Muichiro makes himself as. Having to teach and assist a ditzy and ‘useless’ Hashira like you has his patience running thin. He is very cold and barky… at first

Yuichiro is actually naturally attracted to positive people, like his sweet younger brother. So when you actively try to become his friend, despite him pushing back and even insulting you, he is so confused yet intrigued

Yuichiro gets VERY jealous when you bond with his twin, Muichiro. Yeah, he is rarely apart from the other man but he doesn’t want be just the twin of the Mist Hashira who wins you over. He tries to intervene inbetween your friendly chats with Muichiro to pull you away, pretending to be annoyed that you’re ‘flirting with his brother’

Yuichiro is mean but he is just a Tsundere. He loves you, he just doesn’t know how to express it to you properly. He is quite shy with romance and he doesn’t know if he can truly tell you his feelings for you. He has made it out like he tolerates you for business means but…

He tolerates you because he has such a huge crush on you, that even Muichiro can pick it up
