So the problem that Scar is helping them with would be lim!jimmy assumedly.
Grian, we have been trying to tell you that Scar doesn’t blame you, and is in fact really happy. We’ve been able to talk to him for quite a while, he just didn’t want you to know for some reason. I think you need a little lay down now, you’ve been through a lot. Here’s some chocolate chip cookies for you as a treat.
-Neko
Also merry Christmas from Australia!
3L!Scar: How did you guess- nevermind I am not surprised anymore at this point... how can you predict stuff like that?
(I wonder

LimL!Jimmy: You can do that????
3L!Scar: It's complicated... so do you want to-
LimL!Jimmy: Yeah! I got the bad boys back in the void.
3L!Scar: Oh ... That's easier then I expected... well come on then!
LimL!Jimmy: But not now...
3L!Scar: Of course it wasn't that easy... why not now?
LimL!Jimmy: I need to say bye to everyone first of course, I am not going to just disappear randomly.
3L!Scar: ...And then you'll come with me?
Liml!Jimmy: AND you need to promise me I can come visit eventually.
3L!Scar: Sure, sure I can do that. (he can't)
LimL!Jimmy: Then yeah!
~~~~~
Scott: Oh! Jimmy! Did you need something?
LimL!Jimmy: Yeah... I found a way to go back to the loser void...
Scott: Oh! Is this way going to be painful? Are you going to be ok?
LimL!Jimmy: Oh yes! Of course Scott! Don't worry about it.
Scott: Then thats wonderful! Do you need anything before you go? For the travel?
LimL!Jimmy: Oh no no, just wanted to say bye before I go.
Scott: Awwww thats so cute!
LimL!Jimmy: Excuse you?!? I am a bad boy! I am cool, not cute!
Scott: Sure Jimmy, sure... well be safe then!
~~~~~
Martyn: What do you want now?
LimL!Jimmy: I am leaving.
Martyn: What?
LimL!Jimmy: I am going back to the loser void.
Martyn: Uhhh just like this?
LimL!Jimmy: What? Are you sad?
Martyn: Pshhhh as if... I am just surprised that you are already leaving. Well then, bye I guess.
~~~~~
Liml!Jimmy: So Pearl-
Pearl: You are leaving?
LimL!Jimmy: How-
Pearl: I overheard you talking to Martyn.
LimL!Jimmy: Ah... well thats one explanation less.
Pearl: Do you want to share how you are going back to the "loser void" with the rest of the class?
LimL!Jimmy: Not really.
Pearl: Alright, but if you don't come visit on your own I'll go to the loser void, I'll find you and force you to visit us myself.
LimL!Jimmy: I will come visit... say bye to Olive for me.
Pearl: Will do mate, will do.
~~~~~
Scar: Oh Jimmy! Do you perhaps want a therapy session?
LimL!Jimmy: Ehm... not really ... I wanted to say bye... I am going back to the void with the other losers.
Scar: Oh! That's good right?
LimL!Jimmy: Yeah! I get to reunite with the Bad Boys and the Duskbringers!
Scar: I have no idea of what any of that means! Well, if you see my Pearl thank her for me...
LimL!Jimmy: Sure!
~~~~~~
Grian: Jimmy.
LimL!Jimmy: Grian.
Grian: I heard you are leaving...going back to the loser void.
LimL!Jimmy: You heard about it too??
Grian: You are not exactly quiet about it Tim.
LimL!Jimmy:... I guess thats fair.
Grian: You are going to visit, maybe bring other me and Joel with you.
LimL!Jimmy: Yep, will try to bring them as well.
Grian:... Hug?
*they hug*
LimL!Jimmy: You are surprisingly touchy aren't you?
Grian: These last few days have been franklh a roller coaster.
LimL!Jimmy: Understatement of the century pal.
Grian: Ah! And don't forget the spare Ariana Griande suit for your Grian!
LimL!Jimmy: Oh! Yeah! I did say I would bring it with me didn't I? Well then... bye Grian!
LimL!Jimmy: Okay I am ready! I said bye to everyone!
3L!Scar: Finally... well then let's go!
Tumblr Holy Grail War, Another End (Battle at the Holy Grail) - FINALE
Two Sabers took their stances, one facing the wave of corrupted Servants marching onward, the other readying herself in front of the Grail. They raised their blades in unison, magical power swirling around them.
They stood in perfect harmony, guided carefully by their Masters with the precision of a surgical knife.
Tumblr media
Mordred: "I am no king, but I follow in the king's path…"
Musashi: "Namu, Tenman Daijizai Tenjin! With my blade, I shall sever your essence!"
Mordred: "I will destroy all that I must to bring the king peace!"
Musashi: "This sword is my path to the void, the culmination of my life!"
Tumblr media
Mordred: "Clarent Blood Arthur!"
Musashi: "Ishana, Daitenshou!"
Tumblr media
In the blink of an eye, the corrupted Servants were turned to nothing but dust by the swing of the Red Saber's blade, as the Wandering Ronin sent her blade through the Grail itself, severing it perfectly.
There was no yell from the RULER. No screams of anguish or betrayal. There was far too much to process, as everything quickly began to disappear. All of the work that she had put into the war, gone.
Tumblr media
RULER: "…The Grail Simulacrum is destroyed. All of the Servant data… all of the magical energy that we had cultivated… is gone."
'Ruler': "Yes. It's over. How do you feel?"
RULER: "…I feel as if we have failed. We have failed."
'Ruler': "Are you sure? Can't you hear them celebrating? Feel their satisfaction? They pulled off a miracle. A miracle that I-- that WE would have deemed impossible."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
'Ruler': "We'd never be able to grant their wishes. But we could do this. A true victory in this endless Grail War."
RULER: "…I see… so they're happy…? Even without a wish...?"
'Ruler': "I believe so. We can stop now. It's okay for us to stop, and for this to end."
RULER: "I see... if the Masters are happy, then... Then I suppose… that will have to do…"
The RULER closed her eyes with calm acceptance, nodding, as she and the fragmented 'Ruler' slowly began to disappear along with the rest of the Grail War.
Tumblr media
Mordred: "It seems like the two Rulers are done over there. Guess it's our turn to leave."
Musashi: "Ah, you're right! I can already feel myself dissipating. Well, I guess this is goodbye for real. Thank you, Masters! Thank you for taking care of me for so long! I had fun!"
Tumblr media
Mordred: "Heh. Thanks for givin' me another shot, Masters. See ya."
Musashi: "Bye! Wish or no wish, this has been a blast! Take care, okay?"
With an excited wave from the wandering swordsmaster, and a broad grin from the knight, the two Sabers vanished as the chamber of the Greater Grail collapsed around them, shifting everything into a quiet, peaceful darkness.
infodump about an oc
YAAAYYY WING EMOJI pulls up with a box of ocs and picks one out from the bunch
Tumblr media Tumblr media
her hair is supposed to be much whiter... the white hair is kinda blue in this picrew
this is shalom! she's just a Regular Teenage Girl with the power to manipulate her own blood ^_^
i am so sleepy rn and bad at explaining things most of the time so idk if my ramble makes sense... very very long post ahead though!
so, say that her arm gets sliced and it bleeds she can control the form of the blood, like shape it like a blade perhaps! or a wing. when she controls her blood, the blood can be molded into a solid state. if she wants to form a big blade with her blood, then she has to draw out more blood from the wound. then she can make a big blade and cut her enemies down with it
she can only control the blood that bleeds out of her body. she often wounds herself for the purpose of manipulating her blood. she's used to feeling pain, or at least used to suppressing it. she has passed out a few times for using too much blood and she probably needed a blood transfusion once
note that she can only control the blood that's directly coming out of her. she can't just carry out some bags of her own blood and convert those into weapons whenever danger comes near. she really has to make herself bleed
I've been rather fixated on the story she's part of—ive been temporarily calling it "ladies of the flies" (like a fem version of Lord of the flies). let me explain the premise. basically: a class of the most smart and brilliant students in an all girls school disappears one day. everyone forgets about them and their existence. but what happens to the girls?
the girls wake up in an alternate dimension. their school is suspended in the void, lost. this begins their adventure to discover the other dimensions they can travel to, and find their way home. although their goals change along the way as conflicts rise between them—Oh Yeah Also They They Get Powers In The Alternate World. each girl gets one special power
this story is based loosely on Yellowjackets, and based heavily on the anime Sonny Boy. because look okay i just love the concept of it all. i love the concept of girls going crazy, unstable relationships, violent coming of age stories, dark magic, whatever the fuck those two shows have going on -
you see though, shalom is a special case. Shalom Actually Isn't From The Class. she kinda just appeared our of nowhere but everyone assumes she's part of the class (and they don't question the fact they can't fucking remember her) except for one girl, who knows for a fact that there is something off about shalom. that girl, her name is paz, YES BOTH OF THEIR NAMES MEAN PEACE, becomes shalom's best friend/assistant blah blah, develops a crush on her, i wont go too much into it
as for shalom's personality though, she's a very calm and friendly person, violence actually isnt her first option every time conflict happens. she acts as a sort of leader for 1 of the 2 main groups that divide the girls, and the ones on her side are very loyal to her. because she's just that type of person. she's very calculating though, and she has such STRONG determination that it's enough to scare anyone
i think that's all i have to include? okay that's all bye
OH RIFHT she's partly inspired by the song "my blood" by uhh Ellie Goulding I think that's what her name is
sometimes i think about having shalom in a wheelchair though. seems interesting
my masterlist
Tumblr media
so we all know tom sucks at instagram. that's a surprise to literally no one. no matter how many times you tried to teach him he still doesn't get it, and it was only a matter of time before he finally posted something he shouldn't have.
it was just one of those days, you missed him like hell. he was away filming the third spiderman, and you had to stay behind because of work.
naturally, you relied on face time and texts to survive and fill the void he left behind. you loved talking to him, listening as he rambled on and on about his adventures on set. a love-struck look on your face as you tried your hardest to stay awake despite the urge to close your eyes.
eventually, sleep took over you, and you drifted off with the sound of his voice lulling you to sleep. he stopped talking abruptly when he didn't hear your soft chuckling in reply to the story he was telling.
instead, he saw your sleeping figure, long steady breaths moving your chest up and down. and he cursed himself for making you stay up so late for him. he took one last look at you, taking a screenshot of your sleeping form.
he quickly hung up the video call and opened instagram instead, uploading the screenshot to his story,
'missing my favorite girl, thank you so much for everything you do for me. x @yourusername'
the next morning you woke up to the sound of your phone buzzing. at first, thought someone had died as one notification after another filled your screen. most of them came from instagram, so you opened that app first.
thousands upon thousands of mentions, tags and new followers. you frowned, and suddenly a text from your friend popped up at the top of your screen.
'omg just saw his story. so happy for u both'
who's story? what was going on?
you refreshed your timeline, and tom's icon appeared, a colorful circle around it. an odd feeling sank in your stomach. you tapped his icon and suddenly your screen was full of... you.
a picture of you, sleeping. tom's smiling form in a small rectangle on the bottom right corner.
oh god. you read the words he wrote, over and over again. your heart pounding in your chest, and a sudden wave of fear ran through your body. but then you read his words once more, and all you could feel was love. pure, unconditional affection.
sure, your families and closest friends knew about you, but you hadn't talked about making your relationship public yet, but there was nothing you could do now.
you sighed, leaning back on your pillows. a small chuckle left your throat.
you grabbed your phone once again, quickly facetiming tom. you knew he had an early call today, and you hoped you could catch him while he was still in his hotel.
it ran once, twice, and then you saw him, hair all over the place, bare chest. hands rubbing sleep off of his face.
"mornin', darling." he said, his raspy morning voice making you smile.
"hi, baby. did i wake you?" you asked, sitting up and crossing your legs.
"yeah but it's fine, princess. i did keep you up last night so it's only fair."
"i'm sorry about falling asleep on you, that was a really nice picture you took last night," you lifted one eyebrow, and watched as he smiled at you sheepishly.
"i thought you looked really pretty, you always look pretty," he said, grabbing the water bottle on his nightstand and taking a swing.
"thanks, i hope the whole world thinks so, too," you declared. leaning your chin on your fist, watching him expectantly.
he did not react like you had expected him to.
his breath hitched as he sipped his water, and suddenly all you could see was the cream-colored ceiling, as you heard him spitting out and coughing.
"tom! oh, my god! are you okay?" you asked, getting on your knees and holding your phone up to your face, "tommy?" you repeated when he finally stopped coughing, you could now hear his heavy breaths.
at last, you saw his curls appear from the bottom of the screen.
"wh-what did you just say?" his voice was rough, his chest heaving.
"are you okay?" you asked again.
"ye-yeah i'm fine. babe, what did you mean by 'the whole world'? did something happen?" he asked, frowning. you echoed his expression, watching him for a second.
“you posted a picture to your story,” you repeated, and he nodded.
“yeah, i posted it to my close friends, i-” he stopped mid-sentence, eyes growing comically wide. “oh shit, did i-” he caught himself off as he threw the phone to one side, you heard him fumbling around for his laptop and you snorted. “shit, baby, don’t tell me i posted it… fuck!” you couldn’t keep it in any longer, you broke out laughing.
“of course this is how the world finds out about us!” you continued giggling until your stomach hurt.
“fuck, princess i’m so sorry, i didn’t mean to, i swear i- why are you laughing!?”
“tommy, tommy! it’s okay, baby, don’t worry. i’m not mad,” you stopped once you noticed his pouting. “it’s fine, my love, i don’t mind. sure it’s unexpected, and a little sudden but i wouldn’t have it any other way. i knew what i was getting into when we started dating,” you told him honestly, wishing you were there to give him a hug and kiss him all over.
“darling, i’m really, really sorry. i swear i thought i tapped the green button like you told me to” he continued his sulking, nervous eyes glancing back and forth from his laptop screen to you.
“i know, baby, i know this is not your forte, and i really appreciate the sweet gesture, honestly. i love you so much,” you told him as you bit your lip. folding your legs to your chest, wrapping one around them.
“god, i love you. i swear i’ll make it up to you,” he ran his hand through his hair, giving you a quick peek of his bare chest.
“i’ll hold you to it,” you chuckled, you glanced to the clock on your nightstand, sighing when you saw the time. “i’ve gotta go,” you said as you stood up and stretched. a wicked idea ran through you head. “i’ve got like five meetings today, so i’ll probably be busy most of the day. just in case i don’t reply or something,” you made up you lie quickly. grabbing your laptop and opening a new tab.
“oh, okay. i’ll be on set until like 1 am, so we’ll talk tomorrow?” he asked, eyes bright. you nodded, biting your lip.
“definitely. i love you,” you blew him a kiss. he smiled, and you felt your heart swelling.
“i love you, too. good luck today!” he said as you reluctantly hung up the call.
you immediately got to work, calling your assistant and telling her you were taking a few personal weeks, and to email you in case of emergencies. next, you texted harry, asking him to call you once tom was busy on set.
you waited for the page to load, and once you had bought your one-way ticket to atlanta you hurriedly threw some pre-planned outfits into two suitcases, just in case. your phone rang and harry’s face popped up on your screen. you quickly answered the call, and let him know of your out-of-the-blue plan. he agreed to meet you at the airport and drive you to set. and because of your recent and sudden rise to fame, he suggested you wear all black and a cap. you followed his advice, throwing on some sunglasses as well, as you had seen tom do many times before.
once you reached the airport and checked-in, you bought some coffee and breakfast, as well as some food for the flight. you opened instagram, seeing all the messages and comments. you had seen how the fans reacted when their favorite celebrities announced a relationship, and you knew to expect the meanest comments, and even death threats. for your own sake and peace of mind, you allowed yourself to scroll until you read three of those, and closed the app.
once the plane took off, you tried to catch some sleep, preparing for the inevitable jet lag, but your mind kept buzzing from one scenario to another. so you took out your book and tried to read some chapters, putting in your earbuds, music playing quietly.
when you finally, finally landed, you stretched your legs and grabbed your bags, putting on the cap and sunglasses again, you spotted a familiar head of wild curls. you quickly approached harry.
“what happened to all black and a cap to go unnoticed?” you asked as he took one of your bags in his hands.
“think about it, two kids wearing black, a cap and sunglasses? people would think we’re up to no good.” he gave you a tight hug, you’d missed him almost as much as you’d missed tom.
he caught you up on everything he and tom had been doing these past months, you shifted in your seat in excitement, the sleep that was slowly taking over you on the plane had now disappeared from your body.
in what was probably a 15 -but to you felt like five- minute drive, you got to the hotel to leave your bags and take a quick shower. harry left you alone in tom’s room, making his way to his own room next door. he said he’d order something for you to eat whilst you got ready to see tom.
you took the quickest shower ever known to humankind, and when you walked out of the bathroom after using tom’s shampoo and conditioner, -you’d missed his smell all over you. the few forgotten hoodies and shirts that were once drenched in the smell of his soap and cologne, were now very faint.- you wrapped a bathrobe around your body, rummaging through tom’s clothes until you found one of his shirts.
you pulled it close to your face, sighing at the familiar scent you’d missed so much. you got dressed quickly, grabbing your now fully-charged phone and the key to tom’s room that harry had left on a coffee table. you knocked on harry’s door and he let you in.
“i just texted tom, he says they’ve got like three hours left.” you sat next to him on the couch, the table in front of you filled with food waiting to be devoured.
“my poor baby, they overwork him,” you pouted, reaching for one of the plates.
“it was his idea, said he’ll do anything that helps finish filming sooner.” you stopped chewing your food.
“wait, really?” you asked in disbelief, you knew tom loved his job, and you found it odd that he wanted to cut his time on set short.
“yeah, it’s been rough for him. not having you around, i mean, after he spent months with you. he’s been pretty distracted lately. messing up lines, he’s been waking up late and missing early calls...” your heart sank at the words. you ate the rest of your food with a knot in your stomach, cursing yourself for not getting there sooner. soon enough, you were back in the car, your leg bouncing up and down. you fell asleep on your way to set, waking up when harry parked the car and nudged your shoulder.
you stepped out carefully, your head turning back every few steps you took, in fear that tom might catch you. once you reached the stage where tom was filming, you flashed the visitor badge harry had given you to the guard and he let you both in. you walked in as you leaned down, your forehead against harry’s back, shielding you from the curious stares. harry told you to hide behind a giant box where they kept some lights whilst he spoke to the director.
although the box was big and tall enough to cover you completely, you crouched down, straining your ears for nearing footsteps. you heard two sets of feet approaching, your heartbeat racing.
you were met with your accomplice, a friendly-looking man behind him. you stood up as they approached you.
“this the girl?” the man asked, and harry nodded, “nice to meetcha, i’m jon.” you shook his hand, “okay, so we’ve cleared tom’s schedule for one week, we’ll need him back fully recharged and ready to work like it’s his first day on set, you’re welcome to stay as long as you like, if it means he’ll work better if you’re here you can stay until we're done. i really don’t mind, i just need my guy back.” you blinked at his words, nodding slowly. “we’ve got a couple hours left tonight, i’m all up for some cheesy reunion, but it’ll have to be when we’re finished, i can barely keep him focused as it is.”
with that he left, and harry led you to tom’s trailer, where you caught some sleep while you waited. like that morning, you woke up to your phone buzzing. you reached for it, sleep leaving your body as you read the text.
‘just finished filming for the night, i’m exhausted. miss u, love you. x.’
all rational thoughts left your head, you opened the door to tom’s trailer and sprinted out of there until you reached the set. your eyes finally, finally met his figure, and tears filled your eyes.
your legs moved on their own accord, you mumbled apologies as you crashed into people, but you didn’t care. tom had his back to you, and even though he wasn’t wearing the spiderman costume, you’d recognize that ass anywhere.
“tom!” you called out, stopping a few feet away from him. you saw him whipping his head around, eyes scanning the sea of people. you made your way up to him, “tommy!” you repeated, and he finally turned around.
his mouth wide opened in disbelief, arms twitching, feet running towards you as you did the same. you crashed into each other, your legs wrapping around him, arms around his neck, fingers curling on his soft hair. his hands running all over your back, your hair. pulling you as close as humanly possible.
whispers of ‘i love you’, ‘god, i missed you’, ‘never leave me again’, and ‘i promise’ were exchanged. you tightened your hold on his hair, pulling back to look at him.
“hi,” you whispered, your nose brushing his.
“hey,” he replied, burying his face on your neck again, pressing small kisses anywhere he could reach. his hands settled on the back of your thighs as he spun you two. you giggled, sniffling as a few tears escaped your eyes.
you could not care less about the people around you, all you could think about was the boy wrapped all over you, your favorite boy. tom led you back to his trailer, where you finally untangled yourself from him. he settled you down and you immediately wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling him close to you again.
you had been starved of his touch for so long, there was no way you were letting him go anytime soon.
after many kisses, touches, tears, promises and more kisses, you left for the hotel. harry had already left, getting a ride from another cast member to leave you two alone. at that moment you swore you’d make him godfather of your firstborn child.
as you waited for tom to step out of the shower -you would’ve joined him, but three showers in a day seemed kind of excessive-, you laid down on the bed, throwing the covers over your body, tom's scent engulfing you. you breathed in happily. you tapped on your phone, replying to some work emails when you received a text from harry.
‘i believe the ball is in your court. you’re welcome.’
next, you received a picture of you and tom. harry must’ve taken the picture when you and tom were too lost in each other to even notice anyone around you. in the picture, your legs are around tom, bodies pressed closed together, your noses touching as you stare lovingly into each other’s eyes. it was a beautiful picture. and the black and white filter harry had applied to it made it seem like one of those old pictures of wives reuniting with their spouses after the war.
you smiled, heart swelling with emotion as you contemplated your options. you hummed quietly, tapping the instagram logo and waiting for the app to load.
you quickly uploaded the picture harry sent you tagging both him and tom and adding a quick caption before you shut down your phone. you were drifting off to sleep when you felt familiar arms around you.
you leaned into tom’s touch, your back resting against his chest, legs tangling with his as he interlocked his fingers with your own.
“thank you so much for being here, my love. i love you,” tom whispered into your ear, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
“i’ll be here whenever you need me. i’ll always come back to you.” you turned around, facing him. you kissed the corner of his lips, and he cupped your cheek, his lips meeting yours in a slow kiss, filled with emotion. your fingers played with his fingers as you moved to straddle his waist. “i love you,” you broke the kiss reluctantly. as much as you both wanted to make love that night, you’d made it your top priority that tom took his time off to rest as much as he could, and that included that first night.
you gave him one last kiss, going back to your previous position. the familiar and comfortable weight of his arms around you, the feeling of his lips on your neck, his chest rising and falling against your back, you couldn’t ask for anything better.
the peaceful environment you had created suddenly burst like a bubble as tom’s phone pinged over and over again. you heard him grunting, arms reluctantly leaving you.
tom chuckled, putting his phone on do-not-disturb and throwing it somewhere on the bed.
“you’re perfect for me, my favorite girl.” you smiled, leaning into his touch as he kissed you all over. sleep quickly taking over both of you.
tom swore his heart stopped when he’d seen the picture you posted. you’d never looked more beautiful than when you were staring up at him, your bottom lip between your teeth. the words you wrote as a caption were the last thing on his brain as he finally succumbed to sleep.
‘i said, “i bet you can’t keep this a secret for five months.” he said, “darling, i won’t make it past three.” @ tomholland2013 it’s been 10 months, who won?’
“Friendship”
Dream smp fic. Set further in the future when Tommy has been in exile for weeks, L’manburg is thriving, and the butcher army is about to roll out.
Dream woke up, well he didn’t wake up he just became aware again. It’s hard to get real sleep when 90% of your time is spent under the influence of a demonic force. He looked at the sun, it was time for him to visit Tommy. Today was going to be like any of the other days, as soon as he came tommy would happy greet him bec- beep beep beep “?” He took out his radio and flipped to the channel that was alerting him.
“Hi” “Hey Dream, where are you I want to show you something.” It was Sam, recently he’d been almost unreachable as he worked on the prison disappearing into the black void for hours and days on end.  “Uhh, I’m” he looked around for where he’d end up wandering while he wasn’t conscious “Near the community house, where are you?” “Okay! I’ll meet you halfway, maybe at the old embassy?”  “Sure, what’s the-” “You’ll see, I know you’ll like so it don’t worry” and with that Sam disconnected
Dream started walking. What could the surprise be? A trident? No he used those for the prison plus he knows Dream has multiple. It’s not food Dream has plenty of that, it’s not armor Dream’s is already maxed out. Before he knew it he was at the old embassy, tommy’s old house. It looked empty. Sam walked up to Dream, he has bags under his black eyes and his hair seemed slightly unkempt but there was a happiness about him. “Follow me!” he yelled out and starting walking towards Skeppy’s mansion. Dream felt uneasy he knew that mansion has been completely taken over by the...growths. He didn’t like them they made his skin crawl and made the dark part of him smile.
Sam walked past the mansion. “Okay close your eyes I’ll lead you to the surprise”
“ok- No. I’m not going to fucking close my eyes. I don’t know what you’re going to do. Just,,, just show me it doesn’t have to be a huge surprise”
“Oh...” he seemed kind of surprised by the sudden outburst “Okay follow me then” and he walked off towards the prison. He turned on his heel and extended his arms up towards it “It’s finished!”
Dream’s eyebrows shot up “Really?”
Sam nodded “I stayed up all night and I put the final touches on it literally 10 minutes ago, you’re the first person I told. Want a tour?”
Dream glanced at the sun “later, I have a friend to visit and somethings to sort out. Tomorrow I’ll bring you who needs to be locked up. And I’ll give you the rest of the payment for this”
“oh- okay, well, talk to you later?”
“Bye!” Dream walks past the prison and hops into a boat heading straight to Logsteadshire.
+ + + + + + + + + + + +
“Also Tommy,” “Yes Dream?” “I may have a present for you” Tommy looks at him, his eyes are dulled from lack of sleep and hope but there’s excitement dancing somewhere in there. “Today I’ll talk to Tubbo about ending your exile” Tommy’s mouth dropped open “really? Oh my god thank you Dream you’re my closest friend you’ve always been there for me-”
+ + + + + + + + + + + +
“Tubbo!” Dream jumped down from the top of the top of the house and landed next to tubbo breaking his fall with a water bucket “I need to talk to you about something”
“Sure, what is it? Tubbo smiles at dream and keeps walking, he was in the middle of making sure all the posters were still up.
“it’s about tommy’s exile, I think he’s changed and can finally come back to L’manburg” he prepares for Tubbo’s smile, his excitement and graciousness that Dream is allowing his best friend back, he’ll be willing to accept-
“That’s okay” what
Dream stops walking for a beat thrown for a loop at his statement “what do you mean?”
“Well I’ve been thinkin about it and” Tubbo brushes his thumb over the compass he always carries “It’d be best for him to stay exiled wouldn’t it?” no no no no no no “I mean if he came back he’d be back to his old shenanigans and we’ve had such a good peacetime friendship haven’t we Dream?”
Dream nods “Yes I would say so- but. Tubbo I’ve been checking up on Tommy and I don’t think he’s... like that anymore”
“What’s the saying? You can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Tommy is like that dog Dream, who’s to say he hasn’t been faking this whole time? Plus I’ve visited Logsteadshire and it looks fine, he’s made a whole village for himself. Trust me I miss him everyday. But the nation comes first over one person”
Dream bites the inside of his cheek and nods “Okay, that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. Bye.” He jumps into the water that’s pooled under L’manburg and tridents away. He heads towards the mountain where his old base is and he crawls into it standing up and placing his head in his hands. Why now, why right when all the pieces were starting to fall into place? Tomorrow he has to bring Sam a prisoner, he can’t hold on much longer to the semblance of control he’d has over himself. He doesn’t want to think of what will happen if he holds it off any later. He takes a deep breath and pulls out a book, the book Schlatt gave him. He makes a small desk and starts reading. He doesn’t have long.
You'll Always Have Me
Word Count: 3,925
    “So, Ari, excited for your big day off tomorrow?” Anna plopped her tray on the table, the red plastic rattling as she threw her leg over the bench.
    Catalina looked up from her sushi, raising a playful brow at the two meat lovers’ pizzas on Anna’s tray. Returning to her food, the woman said, “Yes, I am actually.”
    “No, you’ve only been raving about it for a week!” Lina shot a glare at Anne, who gave her a smug grin in response. She wasn’t wrong, though. Lina had been hyping herself up for this all week. It would be a day to have all to herself. No work, no house cleaning, nothing. She was free for the whole day.
    Cathy rested her chin on her palm, a knowing smirk on her face as she said, “She’s gonna spend it all day sleeping, you know that right?”
    A collective nod went around the table. Even Lina couldn’t deny that she’d sleep until noon. “I’ll sleep until one and then I’ll spend the rest of the day watching movies,” Lina said. “Me-time is all I need.” A small moment of silence fell over the group, before a tray was set down on Lina’s left. Rose scent drifted lightly into her nose and Lina’s chest warmed.
    “Sorry, the line was long,” Jane apologized, sliding in to sit beside Lina.
    “For yogurt?” Anne asked, looking up from Kat’s phone.
    “They don’t just have yogurt, Anne.”
    As the group tucked into their food, Catalina began rethinking her previous statement. While, yes, she did want to spend some time to herself, there was a certain someone she really wanted to spend the day with. Casting a look to her left, Catalina noticed Jane sweep her blonde hair back over one shoulder, lifting her spoon and savoring her parfait. It was undeniably cute, to which it had no right to be.
    Lina was a woman of her word, and denying a crush was far beneath her. If she were in any other situation, she’d have asked Jane out by now. Problem is; Jane isn’t open. She’s been dating some guy named Henry for four years now. It sunk Catalina’s heart to see the sweet blonde around the pompous jerk.
    “So, we all know what Cath’s gonna be up to,” Kitty began, “anyone else have any fun plans?”
    “I finished my project for Monday,” Anna said nonchalantly. “I’m just gonna work on my wall tomorrow.” Kat brightened upon hearing that, leaning over to Anna with her classic kitty eyes. Anna chuckled and booped the younger woman’s nose. “Yes, you can come over and help.”
    After shoveling a forkful of salad into her mouth, Anne said, “I will be working out tomorrow. So, Lina, if you wanna join-”
    “Don’t call me Lina,” Catalina enforced, tightening her grip on her chopsticks and fixing a glare on the shorter woman. Anne raised her hands defensively, swallowing her mouthful.
    “Just know the offer’s out there.” Anne returned to eating, occasionally eyeing Lina suspiciously. Cathy chuckled, sending her cousin a knowing look.
    “Oh, yes! Lina, what are your plans for tomorrow?” Jane asked, placing a hand on Catalina’s arm.
    “Wait, how come she-”
    “Sleep and watch movies.” Lina interjected, ignoring Anne’s declaration. Turning to Jane with a soft smile, she continued. “It won’t be exciting, but it’ll be relaxing.”
    Jane nodded, a sweet smile on her face. It amazed Catalina how interested Jane could seem about anything. It wasn’t fake interest either. Lina could sit and describe paint drying and Jane would look at her with interest dancing in her wide, azure eyes.
    “What’re you gonna be up to, Janey?” Kit questioned, leaning on the table. “I’m sure Ari doesn’t wanna be alone all day.” The way she glanced at Lina was far too teasing to be accidental. The worst part about her crush was how apparently obvious it was. Anna and Cathy were the denser of the group, and they figured it out first.
    Jane’s smile faltered, and it turned anxious. She prodded her yogurt, nudging a blueberry around silently. Dread befell Lina as a tense silence fell over the table.
    “You’re kidding, right?” Cathy’s eyes were firm as she asked this, fixed on Jane solemnly. Anne did her best to hide her disappointment, hiding her face behind her curtain of hair. “I thought you were gonna drop him!”
    “I was.” Jane pushed her blueberry under the yogurt, refusing to meet her friends’ eyes. “I told him Tuesday, and he asked for another chance-”
    “And you gave him one?” Anna demanded, causing Jane to flinch. The red clad woman frowned and sat back down, folding her arms. Lina could understand her friend’s frustration. Jane had come to Anne’s on Monday night, sobbing about how she’d caught Henry sending texts to another woman, asking ‘what to bring’ and ‘Jane won’t know’. The group had had a talk that night, and Jane promised to stick it to Henry the next day.
    However, as per usual, Henry squirreled his way out of a break-up by promising to “make it up” with a date.
    “Look, he seemed really genuine,” Jane reasoned. No one missed how soft her voice had gone when Anna had raised her own. “If he gets too drunk tonight or makes an excuse to cancel, I’m dropping him. He hasn’t forgotten all week.”
    Lina’s heart clenched at Jane’s broken tone. She was convincing herself that Henry would show, rather than her friends. She hated hearing Jane’s attempts to salvage the tiny pieces of her relationship with Henry, but she hated putting Jane down even more.
    Placing a hand on the blonde’s, Catalina said, “Just be safe, okay? If anything happens, call us.” She fixed her gaze on Jane, trying to steady her breathing. As much as she hated it, the date was going to happen. She just had to be ready to catch Jane when it fell out.
    Jane widened her fingers. Not by much, but just enough for Lina’s fingers to brush in between. The action sparked warmth in the taller woman’s chest, and she watched Jane nod slowly. “Thank you, Lina,” Jane whispered. She looked up, azure eyes void. “May I excuse myself?”
    “Of course, querida,” Lina replied, shifting to allow Jane room to leave the table. The blonde gave her friend a tiny smile, before retreating to the restrooms.
    Upon looking back at the table, Lina noticed all her friends staring at her, dismay in their eyes. Cathy’s expression said it all, and Lina let her defeated sigh slip. There was no point in trying to fix the problem anymore. There had been a time when Lina would purposefully make plans ahead of Henry, or ask Jane to things first, which kept Henry at a safe distance. Her attempts had declined over the years upon seeing no improvement in their relationship.
    Anna laid a hand on Lina’s shoulder, to which the curly-haired woman simply nodded.
    Tomorrow felt much less exciting now.
    Lina had been right. She’d slept in until one on Saturday, and only got out of bed when her stomach growled at her for food.
    She slumped around her house in a hoodie and sweatpants. She had ordered take out for lunch, which she then had delivered to her flat. She’d never done that before, which made her realize why Anne loved lazy weekends.
    Lunch was followed by a short yoga session. Lina had picked up yoga in her second year of college. Sitting all day was awful on her back and joints, and she definitely didn’t get enough exercise from just walking to and from campus. Kat had suggested yoga, and Lina was rather impressed with the results it had. Her posture had improved and she no longer felt the need to fidget in her seat.
    “How’s the wall coming along?” Lina asked, face buried in her arms as she reached for her toes.
    Anna’s voice came through the phone. “It’s halfway done,” she answered. “There’s paint all over me, though, and Kat’s not helping.”
    “Excuse me!” Kit’s voice came from somewhere else in the room, making Lina chuckle. “It’s not my fault you put so much stuff where I can’t reach.”
    “Anyways,” Anna continued, “how’re you holding up? Being lazy must be so hard.”
    Lina sat up, letting out a breath of air. “I don’t know how Anne does it,” Lina replied, feigning exhaustion, before reaching down to her other foot.
    Anna laughed, disappearing from the screen as she continued painting.
    That call had lasted the hour Lina did her yoga. Anna had hung up when she and Kat ran out for food, waving bye. Lina rolled her mat up and tucked it away in the corner of her living room. With a final stretch to loosen herself up, she changed back into a hoodie and sweats.
    The next couple hours were spent napping and scrolling through her phone. A gentle rain had begun to fall, pattering on the windows. Lina checked her phone. 9:43. I should eat something.
    She headed for the kitchen and began rummaging for something to heat up. She pulled out a container of mac n’ cheese, shrugged, and popped it into the microwave.
    Wine goes with that, right?
    Looking back in the fridge, Lina took notice of the wine bottle. It wasn’t until she pulled it out that she realized something.
    This was the bottle Jane had given her for her birthday. It was a Spanish red wine, similar to what her abuela used to drink. Lina had tugged Jane into the tightest hug, thanking her over and over.
    As one memory of Jane took hold, more and more began to flood Lina’s mind. Memories of school musicals, dances, mall outings, amusement park trips. Every moment with Jane was held close to Lina’s heart, which was breaking with each memory remembered. The thought of her being held by that pig of man was worse than someone ripping Lina’s heart out.
    “I should check up on her.” She had gone to reach for her phone, before thinking better of it. No. I don’t wanna piss Henry off by texting during their date. While the thought of Jane on a date with Henry was far from pleasing, it was better than thinking about all the times Jane had looked at Lina as if she were the sun. Lina knew if her mind strayed to Jane, she’d be tense the rest of the night.
    Shaking her anxieties off, Catalina poured a glass of wine and waited for her food to finish heating up. She watched the rain drops race down her windows, the rain picking up outside.
    The microwave dinged and she pulled the mac n’ cheese out, hissing as the bowl burned her hands. Setting it down, Lina retreated to the living room to search Disney+ for a movie. She settled on Lady and the Tramp, placing the remote back on the coffee table.
    And no, not because it was Jane’s favorite.
    Lina ran back for her dinner, tucking her phone into her sweat pockets before carrying her bowl and wine out the living room. She reclined back on the arm of the couch, wine glass on the end table and bowl cradled in her lap.
    It was halfway through the movie when Lina felt something vibrate against her stomach. She groaned and dug around for her phone. She had just gotten into the perfect position where everything was stretched just right.
    She pulled her phone out, took one look at the contact, and her adrenaline shot up. She slid the green button and quickly held the phone to her ear.
    “Jane, what’s wrong?”
    There was silence on the other end, aside from rain and the faint sound of breathing.
    “Lina…”
    Catalina was already pulling her coat on with that one word. Jane had sounded shattered on the other end, her sniffles coming through the rain.
    “Stay right there, bebé,” Lina ordered. “I’m coming to get you. Where are you?”
    “Lina, I-I’m so sorry. H-He-”
    “Hush, querida, don’t speak,” Lina interrupted, grabbing her keys and hurrying out the door, forgoing the slides that sat at the door. “Are you home?”
    A choked sob echoed in the phone before Jane whispered, “Yes.”
    “Alright, hun, I’m on my way,” she assured. “Just stay on the phone, please.”
    A whimpered ‘ok’ was all she got to confirm Jane had heard. Catalina watched the rain smack off her window, and she gripped the steering wheel tighter. She could only assume two things, neither of which she wanted to dwell on. Jane’s broken tone was already enough for Lina to rip the steering wheel right off the dashboard.
    “Don’t worry, Jane, I’m almost there,” Lina murmured, taking the turn at the intersection.
    It was a fight to not go over the speed limit, to which she was already surpassing. All the while she spoke words of comfort into the phone, Jane’s sobs echoing in her ear.
    She pulled to a stop in front of Jane’s apartment complex, and through the heavy downpour, she took notice of a petite blonde. Lina leapt from her car, hurrying to Jane’s side. She was seated under the small overhang of the building, but she was absolutely drenched.
    Mascara ran down Jane’s cheeks in rivers, the rain water spreading it over her face. Her blonde hair, which Catalina could only assume had once been wavy and conditioned, was soaked and mattered. Blonde strands plastered to Jane’s face, and her chin quivered as she forced back tears.
    “Oh, cariño,” Lina gasped, taking notice of Jane’s dress. “Usaste el nuevo.”
    A sob broke through Jane’s lips and she buried her face in her hands. Lina knelt down, gently pulling the blonde to the ground, and tucked the sobbing woman into her chest. Jane’s hands fisted into Lina’s coat instantly, and she cried into her friend’s neck.
    “Oh, Lina, I-I’m such an idiot!” Jane cried, knuckles jabbing into Catalina’s chest. “I should’ve listened to you! You were right; you were all right! I’m so stupid!”
    “No, no, querida,” Lina soothed, pressing Jane closer to her body. “You’re not stupid, never say that.”
    Jane shook with another sob. “B-But if I had just listened to you-” Jane paused to sniff, another sob choking out. “I-If I had just dropped h-him like you said, then you wouldn’t have to be h-here in the rain with me.”
    “Jane, no.” Lina sat back, holding Jane back to look her in the eyes. “It doesn’t matter what day it is, nor the weather. I’d come to you in a blizzard on foot if you needed me.” Shrugging out of her coat, Lina pulled the garment over Jane’s shoulders and pulled her in. “Now, how about you come with me? I have wine.”
    Another sniffle followed by a nod against her chest was all the confirmation Lina needed. She took Jane’s hands in her own, helping her to her feet. Catalina pulled the coat over Jane’s head while she opened the car door.
    Holding the door open, Lina helped Jane duck into the car. Once she was situated, Lina ran to the driver’s side and quickly dove in. The rain was pounding the roof of the car, the window being splattered with drops faster than the wipers could clean them.
    Jane was shivering in the seat, clutching Catalina’s coat tight to her body. Lina’s heart sank and she offered her hand to the woman. The blonde took it immediately, silent tears still flowing down her cheeks. The drive home was silent, golden eyes fixed ahead while azure focused down, hands intertwined.
    Lina scooped Jane out of the passenger seat, carrying her to the door and setting her down only to open the door. Jane kept her face tucked into Lina’s neck until they reached the bathroom.
    “Let’s get you cleaned up, yeah?” Lina whispered, cupping Jane’s sticky cheeks. Jane nodded weakly and Lina began searching for the make-up wipes.
    She pulled the wipes out and gently swiped it over Jane’s cheek. The blonde tensed, but slowly relaxed into the movements. Lina tossed the now-black wipe and pulled another out. This time, when she wiped Jane’s cheek, Lina felt her press into her touch. Her cheeks warmed with a pink dust, and she was thankful for Jane’s shut eyes.
    “Do you want to get a shower?” Lina gently brushed Jane’s arm, noting the goosebumps trailing up her skin. Jane nodded again, and Lina pulled a white towel out from under the sink. “You’re favorite color.”
    A tiny, watery smile tugged at Jane’s lips, and Lina mentally patted herself on the back. “I have an extra loofa in there, it’s the black one, and you can use my body wash and stuff.”
    She moved to leave the bathroom, when Jane let a small noise escape. Lina looked back and her heart melted at the sight of Jane brushing through her wet hair. “C-Can you wait outside? I don’t want to be alone…” Her voice drifted off towards the end, and Lina returned to her friend’s side.
    Taking Jane’s small, shivering hand in her warm ones, Lina looked sincerely into Jane’s eyes. “I’ll be just beyond the door, alright? You can shout to check.”
    Jane’s eyes softened, and a new emotion flickered in them. Lina slowly released the blonde’s hand and retreated from the bathroom.
    She stood outside of the bathroom for the entirety of Jane’s shower.
    Not once did Jane check if Lina had stayed.
    The bathroom door creaked open, and Lina stood up from the wall. Jane stepped close to her, wrapped in the towel. Her hand brushed Lina’s, and the taller woman took it gently. “I have a fresh load of laundry in my room,” she said, leading Jane to her bedroom. “I’ll get you something warm.”
    Lina found a sweater and pair of sweats that would hopefully tie tight enough for Jane. She left the blonde to change, and her jaw nearly hit the floor when she came back in.
    The sweater fell down to Jane’s mid-thigh, hanging off one shoulder. Lina’s face flushed and she coughed into her hand, attempting to hide her gay panic. Stop it. Jane needs you. Swallowing, Lina stepped into the room. “How’re you feeling?”
    Jane looked down, bringing her hands up to clutch her forearms. “Better, I guess,” she mumbled. Her drying blonde hair fell over her face in a curtain.
    Lina made her way towards the blonde. She placed a gentle hand on the small of Jane’s back. Suddenly, arms looped around Lina’s neck and tugged her in. Jane’s nose brushed the column of her throat, causing a blush to spread up the taller woman’s cheeks.
    “Thank you, Lina,” Jane whispered, voice tight. Lina smiled, wrapping her arms around Jane’s waist and setting her chin on her head.
    “Anytime, mi querida,” Lina murmured.
    They ended up on the couch, Lina reclined against the armrest once more with Jane cuddled into her side. Both nursed a glass of Spanish wine, eyes fixed on the TV. Lina threw occasional looks towards Jane, checking to make sure the blonde was okay.
    In truth, Lina wanted to ask her exactly what had happened. Jane was always down after dates with Henry, but never was she so upset to the point of crying. Taking a sip of her wine, Lina turned her gaze on Jane. “Do you want to talk about it?”
    Jane took a long sip of wine, lips remaining pressed to the glass. Lina bit her lip and set her glass down. “You don’t have to,” she added. “I just think it’d be best if I knew a little.”
    “No, you’re right,” Jane said, clutching the neck of her glass. “You deserve to know.”
    Lina set her hand on Jane’s shoulder, pulling her a bit closer. “Jane, I’m always gonna be here for you, alright?” She fixed her eyes on the blonde. “If you’re not ready to talk, that’s perfectly okay. I just want to know at some point.”
    Jane nodded, taking a small sip from her wine. Silence followed, to which Lina picked up her own glass and returned to watching the movie. If Jane didn’t want to share, that was fine with her. She’d wait for years if that’s what Jane needed.
    “He left me there.”
    She nearly choked on her wine, spitting it back into the glass. Jane looked at her with worried eyes, placing a hand on her side. Lina set her glass down and sharply turned to face Jane. “He what?”
    Jane bit her lip, averting her eyes from Lina’s. “He said he’d pick me up at nine,” Jane said. Her voice was tight with sadness and underlying anger. “He promised me. He kept telling me all week that it’d be great.” She faltered, staring down at her drink.
    Lina’s dread was replaced by rage. Jane had sounded so sure that Henry would make it up to her. She sounded far from excited, but she was hopeful. Even Lina had a tiny spark of hope that Henry would make an effort for Jane. But he hadn’t even bothered to show up!
    “I should have listened to you.” Jane sounded defeated, her fingers tapping the glass. “I guess that’s one thing he was honest about. I really am an idiot.”
    Lina slid off the couch and took Jane’s hands, holding them to her chest. “Jane Seymour, you listen to me.” She waited until Jane’s azure eyes met her golden ones. “You are a wonderful woman. You’ve been my dearest friend all my life, and I would rather freeze hell over than listen to you speak horrible things about yourself. You are such a kind woman, with a heart undeserving of the cruelty in this world.
    “You are not an idiot, and I will keep telling you this until you realize it’s true.” Lina moved her hands to cup Jane’s face, brushing her cheek lightly. “So please, all I ask of you, is to remember how truly remarkable you are; both inside and out.”
    Jane’s eyes glittered with tears, small streams glistening down her cheeks. She cupped one of the hands on her cheeks, pressing into it as she nodded. Lina smiled softly, stretching forward onto her knees to touch her forehead to Jane’s.
    “You’re so kind to me,” Jane murmured, a watery smile appearing on her face. Lina chuckled and kissed the blonde’s forehead.
    “Only ever for you.”
    The soft look of trust that flushed over Jane’s eyes, along with the tiny giggle, was enough to melt Lina’s heart. She pulled herself back onto the couch, and giggled as Jane snuggled back into her. As Jane’s head settled beneath Catalina’s chin, the blonde whispered, “Thank you, again, Lina. For everything you’ve done.”
    Lina pulled the blanket over the two and held Jane close. “I’ll always be here for you, querida.”
    The two stayed close, cocooned in the blanket as the Disney movie carried on quietly. Lina melted into Jane’s presence, burying her nose in soft blonde hair. She felt Jane smile against her neck and Lina placed another kiss on the crown of Jane’s head.
    “I love you, Lina.”
    Jane’s breath tickled Lina’s neck as she spoke. Her words sent goosebumps up Lina’s skin, but she replied without hesitation. “I love you, too, Jane.”
    And though she knew they both meant different things, one of platonic origin and the other romantic, Lina knew that Jane meant it. That she loved Lina as much as she loved Jane. And that was enough to make her forget about destroying Henry.
My boyfriend is back...
For the dearest @fandoms-are-my-friends-1321 💟💟
Hope you’ll enjoy the story!
TW: swearing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is a warm and calm summer evening, and (Y/N) walks down a London Garden, enjoying the perfumes and colors of the flowers around her.
She smiles while remembering the delightful afternoon she spent with Aziraphale in his bookshop. Despite their differences, the two often get along, and he always welcomes her in his charming shop with a steaming cup of tea and some pastries.
She should thank Crowley for introducing her to the gentle angel...
Thinking of Crowley, the female demon can not help but smile as she wonders about their date. Where will they go today? In a country around the world or in a secret place? He always manges to surprise her...
As she feels the soft wind on her skin, she hears a deep voice behind her:
"Going somewhere, beautiful?"
Surprised, the young woman turns around and sees Hastur, one of the Dukes of Hell, standing behind her, with a crooked smile on his cracked lips.
(Y/N) sighs: since a couple of years, Hastur never ceases to woo her, which pisses her off, most of the time. She might well say no every time he asks her out, he does not stop his courting.
Cringing, she asks:
"What do you want, Hastur?"
"Oh, why so stern with me? It's not because I am Duke of Hell that we cannot be friends!"
"We do not have the same conception of friendship!"
Hastur laughs, exposing his crooked teeth to (Y/N), who resists the urge to puke.
"You have some character... I like that! No wonder why you are Our Devil Lord's favorite!"
"Are you jealous?"
"Jealous? Me? Oh no, my dear: in fact, I am quite impressed that a young demon like you is already in Satan's good books. But you prove yourself being worthy of His attention!"
He comes closer, much to (Y/N)'s disgust, and resumes:
"But I'm sure there is another reason..."
"I'm impatient to hear it!" she says with irony.
(Y/N) shivers with hatred as he gently strokes her hair.
"Perhaps your beauty strikes him in the first place! I cannot blame him..."
Sickened, the young demon hits his hand and replies:
"Hands off, you jerk! Try to touch me once again, and I swear that you will regret it!"
"Come on, don't be so sissy! This is not like we commit a crime..."
"In your point of view, maybe, but I am already with someone!"
"Who?"
(Y/N) answers with a grin:
"You know my boyfriend, or should I say, you HATE him!"
"Wait a minute... You mean that you have a relationship with this filthy being named Crowley?"
"Correct!"
"How can you waste your time with this stupid and worthless creature?"
"I don't know... Should I list the reasons alphabetically or chronologically? Oh, wait, I know: I should emphasize the differences between you and him!"
"Like what?"
"Maybe, unlike you, he knows the convenience of a bathroom?"
The Duke of Hell snarls:
"I'm not effeminate like him! I'll never lowering myself at the same level as him!"
"He is far better than you!"
"I doubt it, my lovely... He will never reach my level!"
"For sure, but my fist would probably reach your face if you don't back off right now!"
Both demons turn and see Crowley, who seems enraged. If his eyes could throw flames, Hastur would turn into ashes!
"What are you doing here?"
"Preventing a brute like you harass my girlfriend!"
"Come on, Crowley! We both know that you don't deserve a girl like (Y/N)"
"May I fix your statement, moron? YOU don't deserve a girl like (Y/N): she is too good for you!"
(Y/N) was amazed by the anger within her lover: she never sees him angered to this point. He doesn't need to get mad at this point, so why now?
The answer strikes her: Crowley acts like that because he is freaking jealous! She never suspects him being jealous: of course, he is very protective towards her but jealous... What a blow!
Meanwhile, the two male demons still verbally fighting:
"Since when did you bother my girl? Answer me, you jackass!"
"I don't have to justify myself, you useless snake! I have the right to talk to (Y/N) if I'm pleased to do so!"
"Talking? Are you kidding me? You were trying to take her from me, you hypocrite!"
"So what? You should not have the honor to touch her!"
"Nor do you, you sick old pervert!"
"What happens here?"
Crowley, Hastur, and (Y/N) turns and notice the presence of Aziraphale.
"I heard you yelling. Are you okay?"
"Everything is okay, Azi. Besides this old creep who tries to woo my (Y/N)!"
"Mind your business, you despicable angel!"
"Sorry, sir, but when someone annoys my friends, I have to intervene!"
As Hastur is about to answer, a deep voice booms under their feet.
"HASTUR!"
The three demons freeze as they acknowledge the voice of their almighty lord, Satan himself. Even Aziraphale stays silent.
Shivering with fear, the Duke of Hell demands with a quivering voice:
"Yes, O my powerful King of Hell?"
"Instead of embarrassing my dear (Y/N), I command you to come back down here! You have some duties left, and I HATE when I am waiting for results! So, if you don't want to experience the same sufferings as sinners, you better come here RIGHT NOW!"
"Yes, my Lord! I arrive as soon as possible, Your Wicked Highness!"
"And don't offend Aziraphale! I don't need having God on my back because of your silliness!"
"Of course, my Devil King! Here I am!"
And immediately, Hastur disappears in a dark cloud of smoke. After that, Aziraphale takes (Y/N)'s hand in a reassuring gesture:
"Are you alright, my dear?"
"Yes, thank you, Azi. You don't have to worry..."
She glances at Crowley.
"My knight in shining armor was here to defend my honor!"
"And I am very good at it!" proudly claims the demon.
"I do not doubt it... I leave you there: if I remember well, you two have a date tonight!"
"That's right!"
"Perfect! I return to my books! Have a lovely date!"
"Thank you, Azi-dearest! See you later!"
"Bye, Azi!" waves Crowley.
As the angel leaves the garden, the young woman asks her boyfriend:
"Do you really needed to be enraged at this point?"
"Of course, I need to! This creepy bastard was annoying you!"
She smirks.
"Aren't you jealous, Crowley?"
"Me? Jealous? Never!"
(Y/N) rolls her eyes: among all the demons, her lover is probably the most stubborn!
"Crowley, you were at this close to kill him! You were pissed that he was trying to seduce me!"
"I can't let this old dumbass wooing you without intervene!"
The female demon laughs:
"Oh by Satan, Crowley! You did not need to be as terrifying as Our Devil Lord to protect me!"
She cups his face between her hands.
"But I'm so glad that you're here to protect me. Thank you, my beloved!"
"Always there for you, my evil princess!"
The two kiss passionately. After the two lovers part away, she asks:
"So, where are we going today?"
"Ah-ah! This a surprise, my sweetheart!"
With a magic trick, he opens a void and asks her while offering his hand:
"Are you ready, my flame?"
"Always, my snake!"
As the two start their date, (Y/N) happily smiles as she enjoys her boyfriend's company.
Now, she is sure that if Hastur dares to try seducing her again, he is going to have trouble...
My boyfriend's back, and you're gonna get in trouble (Hey la, hey la, my boyfriend's back)
When you see him comin', better head out on the double (Hey la, hey la, my boyfriend's back) oooh
You've been spreadin' lies that you know were untrue (Hey la, hey la, my boyfriend's back)
So look out now, 'cause he's comin' after you (Hey la, hey la, my boyfriend's back)
It was certainly not the first time we’d been parted. Indeed, it was almost more common for one or both of us to be jetting off to some new location than staying in our own flat. However, that fact did not, in any way, alleviate the pain and sorrow the pair of us experienced with each prolonged separation. In the almost four years since we met at that stupid party so much in our lives had changed - yet the biggest constant was the feelings Harry and I shared for one another.
That’s why I found myself tearing up more than usual this Wednesday night.
“I’ll call you every day.” Harry reassured, glancing up from his almost completely packed suitcase to my eyes as I sat on the other side of the bed from the object. I tried my best to give him a convincing smile, nodding softly. “Baby...” His tone seemed to send me over the edge that I’d quite frankly been teetering on for the last three days. He abandoned his packing, pushing the suitcase down to the end of the bed before crawling towards me. Within a second he pulled me against him, his lips pressing kisses to the top of my head as my cheek squished against his chest.
“I’m just gonna miss you, ‘s all.” I muttered into his jumper, my fingers clutching desperately to the material as if I could hold him against me forever instead of letting him go on tour.
“I know, lovie, I know. And I’m gonna miss you too, so much. But before you know it we’ll be together again!” His voice picked up a little towards the end. “You know, you’re gonna visit me in America, and we get two whole weeks together then, and then it’ll only be a little bit until I’m home again.”
“But then you’ll go again.”
“You’re pretty shit at taking comfort, have I ever told you that?” I giggled quietly as his fingers playfully prodded at my sides. I squirmed in his grasp in attempts to escape his attack.
“Just let me be sad!” I laughed, sitting between his legs when he finally released me. His eyes lingered, darting between mine and my lips. The silence that took over was one completely void of awkwardness. “I love you.” I almost whispered the words as I crawled up his body, swinging my right leg over his left, straddling his waist. His hands pushed up my thighs, curving around my waist as he pulled me forward into him again.
“I love you too, Sunflower.” I could feel his smile against my neck before I let out a little whine of annoyance.
“You know how much I hate it when you call me that.”
“Yeah, that’s why I do it.” I pulled back, hands on his chest as I inspected the smirk spread across his features.
“Arsehole.” I laughed, shaking my head.
“Yeah, but you love me.” His hands dropped from my waist, grasping my bum in a squeeze.
“Don’t know why.” I mumbled teasingly, glancing my eyes up to meet his as he let out a small ‘heeyyyyy’. I released another laugh, leaning forward to steal a quick peck from his lips. “I’m joking, my love. You know I love you because you’re the sexiest, funniest and all round best person in the world.” My lips ghosted over his, allowing me to detect the subtle darkening of his eyes as lust overtook him.
                                                ---------------------
“Are you sure you’ve got everything?” I asked for what was probably the fifth time in the last thirty minutes.
“Yes, woman, Christ.” Harry replied in fake exasperation.
“Alright, alright, I just don’t want you calling me, crying, because you didn’t bring enough knickers.” I smirked, stepping out of the apartment.
“Don’t wear knickers. Imma man.” He grumbled in return, delivering a playful slap to my bum before locking the door. “You don’t have to take me to the airport if you don’t want to, honey.”
“But I do want to.” I grinned, getting into the car as he loaded up the boot with his numerous bags. As he reached out for the passenger door’s handle, he gasped.
“Wait, hang on one sec, I forgot something.” He said, holding his finger up before jogging back to the door, unlocking it and disappearing inside before I could chastise him for his forgetfulness. Not two minutes had gone by before he reemerged, locking the door once more. To my surprise, though, his hands were just as empty as they had been when he left the car moments before. When he entered the car I shot him a questioning look. “What?”
“What did you forget?” I asked, pulling my seatbelt across my body and fastening it.
“Oh, nothing, realised I actually did have it already.” Harry said, his lips quivering slightly. In the last four years I now knew this to be a tell-tale sign that he was trying his utmost to keep the smirk that was fighting its way onto his face at bay. Of course I wanted to dig deeper, get a truthful answer from him, but I knew we were already running out of time to get to the airport on time for his flight.
“Okay... you weirdo.” I giggled, starting the car and backing out of the driveway.
                                               ---------------------
The lump in my throat was growing every second I watched the five boys (well all young men now) checking off their things with the tour manager.
“Alright, I think we’ve got everything. Let’s hit the road, again!” He spoke, quietly chuckling to himself as he put his clipboard away after a final chat with Zayn.
“It’s actually on the road again.” Louis sarcastically remarked, pulling his rucksack onto his shoulders before hugging his sister Lottie. Harry and I exchanged a look and laugh before he approached me, pulling me into a hug.
“I’ll call you everyday.” He repeated the words from last night into my hair as he squeezed me as hard as he could without hurting me.
“I love you so, so, so, so, so much!” I spoke, head nestled into his neck.
“I love you more, angel. I’ll see you soon, yeah? Keep my side of the bed warm for me.” He pulled away, eyes momentarily scanning over my face, noting the well of tears in my eyes I was refusing to release in front of him. His lips pressed to mine, and even though it was but a few seconds, the kiss we shared held so much passion and love I felt my heart race. Pulling away, we looked at each other once more before he dropped his arms from my body and retrieved his bags. “Bye, love.” Despite the wink he shot in my direction, I couldn’t help detecting the slight break in his voice now.
“Bye, baby.”
Before I knew it, the whole tour party of was gone and out of sight, just leaving us loved ones that had come to wave them goodbye.
“God, I still can’t believe it, every time they go.” Louis’ mum piped up, receiving a hum of agreement from the rest of us. “So proud of them.”
“Yes, so, so proud.” Liam’s mum replied.
                                               ---------------------
The silence that greeted me as I unlocked the door was no where near as comforting as the silence Harry and I shared the night previously. This silence was almost eerie, confirming that, yes, I was alone once more. I sniffled back the tears that I had finally allowed myself to shed in the car on the way home, wiping my eyes with the back of my sleeve.
Slowly, I made my way up stairs, pushing open the door to our bedroom. It seemed far less chaotic than it had been for the last couple of weeks now that it was relieved of Harry’s many bags. I missed the mess now; it had told me that he was still here. Without turning on the light, I trudged to the bed, flinging myself onto the duvet, laying like a starfish on the covers as I let out an exaggerated huff slash groan. I glanced up in the direction a small rattling noise came from. On the pillow was an object I couldn’t quite make out in the dim light of the room; it certainly hadn’t been there earlier when I left the room to take Harry to the airport. Maybe this was what he was being so secretive about then. Pulling myself up, I flicked on the lamp beside the bed, discovering a CD with a sticky note attached.
‘For when you miss me and may forget how much I love you, here are all the songs that remind me of you (I’d know, seeing as I wrote them about you ;))
All my love, H xxxxx’
Another wave of tears hit me as I stared at his scrawl across the pink paper. How could I miss him so much already? Shooting up from the bed, I clambered out of the room and into the office where the computer was. I dropped into the chair, fiddling with the CD before slotting it into the machine. My heart seemed to skip with anticipation, my eyes darting all over the screen as I waited for it to load. Finally the songs came onto the screen; I was surprised to see how many of them there were, but I couldn’t help the grin on my face at the first four.
                                              ---------------------
Stole My Heart
Under the lights tonight, you turned around And you stole my heart, with just one look When I saw your face, I fell in love Took a minute girl, to steal my heart tonight With just one look, yeah Been waiting for a girl like you
Harry’s PoV
“So remind me how you know this guy again?” I questioned, leaning forward to push my head between the driver’s and front passenger’s seat. Louis huffed out a breath, shaking his head in annoyance.
“He’s just a friend, mate. Does it really matter how I know him? It’s free alcohol. You should be bloody grateful seeing as you’re fresh out of the womb.” Niall snorted at Louis’ reply, earning a punch to the leg from me.
“No need to be snarky.” I muttered, watching as the car pulled up to a large house that already looked like it was breaking at the seams with too many people.
“He’s just butthurt that he and Caroline broke up. Mate, you were punching. It was gonna end at some point!” Zayn chimed in. The five of us hopped out the car, making our way up the steps and into the house.
“Best behaviour, everyone, Simon said we could do some good networking here. There might be some people here we could need.” Liam said, the four of us completely ignoring him as we pushed through the crowd. Almost immediately we lost Niall - no doubt already in search of some alcoholic beverage. I decided not to join him, knowing full well that Zayn was right. I’d never tell him that though! I was definitely feeling a little low after the short rendezvous with Caroline Flack came to a somewhat abrupt end, and if I went straight to the drink like Niall, it was probably not going to be pretty. Instead, I followed Zayn who was talking to a group of three that he already seemed to know.
After nearly half an hour though, the conversation was getting a little boring, and I was certainly struggling to keep up the façade of interest. I cleared my throat, gaining the attention of my peers. “Um, sorry, just gonna excuse myself, gonna get a drink.” I muttered.
“I’ll follow, be right back.” Zayn agreed, quickly following me. “Oh my god, did you hear them? How on earth can someone complain about not having enough rooms in a 7 room house for like twenty minutes?” He questioned, a laugh escaping his lips as we were out of earshot of the trio.
“I mean, if you fill half of them with your weed plantation it’s definitely going to affect the potential of the others, isn’t it?” I joked. “Now where the hell is kitchen?”
“I think,” Zayn spoke half the sentence, nodding his head in the direction in front of us. Together we continued pushing through the crowd of people that somehow seemed to have multiplied even in the short amount of time since our arrival. “Please don’t start growing a weed plantation in your house, Harold.” Zayn teased, finally entering the kitchen. “Ah the others are here.”
“Lads!” I heard Louis shout as we appeared. I didn’t answer Zayn’s joke because, leaning against the fridge was a girl. God Harry, that is not just ‘a girl’. I’d never seen anything that could even come close to her beauty. Just looking at her face I could feel my heart rate increase tenfold. Her brown hair was slightly waved, pushed back over one shoulder, accentuating her high cheekbones. She wasn’t wearing anything that was particularly noteworthy, but she made the simple outfit look like it was being modelled for the runway. Suddenly I noticed that I had yet to speak; that in fact, no one had said anything because Zayn had become a little shy with the presence of this stranger. I tried to adopt the most upbeat, unfazed tone.
“Hi!” As Liam introduced us I felt myself move forward towards her. I stuck out my hand. What the fuck am I doing? Who shakes hands at 17 - especially when they’ve just met the most beautiful woman in the entire universe?! Her hand slowly slid into mine; the softest, most delicate hands I’d ever felt - and that’s including my own mother who it seemed applied Cath Kidston hand moisturiser every waking moment. I thought quickly, moving down and placing a gentle kiss to the back of her hand. “Lovely to meet you, Y/N.” I smiled, making eye contact for the first time.
Wow.
Never in my life have someone’s eyes felt like they were looking straight into my soul. Her cheeks flushed a pink shade, causing mine to match.
“And you, Harry.” She returned, maintaining the eye contact.
Shit, Harry, this is deep. You can’t fall in love this quickly, can you?
When I got home that night, I couldn’t get her out of my mind. She clouded every thought, her touch still seeming to cause flames to run over my skin. As I sat on my bed, I grabbed the scrap of paper that was beside the bed from a piece of junk mail I’d opened this morning. Rummaging around I found a half blunt pencil, scribbling less than ten words onto the crumbled paper:
When I saw your face, I fell in love.
                                              ---------------------
They Don’t Know About Us
They don’t know about the things we do They don’t know about the I love you’s But I bet you if they only knew They would just be jealous of us They don’t know about the up all nights They don’t know I've waited all my life Just to find a love that feels this right Baby they don’t know about, they don’t know about us
It must have been my continuous sniffles that prevented me from hearing that the front door had opened and closed, allowing Harry back into the apartment. My arms encircled my shins, pulling my legs up close to my chest as I sat on the little bench by the window in our bedroom.
Things had just gotten too much as of late. With three new projects of mine coming out this year, with Harry working what felt like around the clock with the guys in the studio to produce another album, the press seemed to think it was their role to shit over everything. At every opportunity media outlets took it upon themselves to dig their way into our private lives we tried so hard to keep just that: private.
“Baby, what are you doing up here? I thought you had an interview on the phone at 6? Why are you in the dark?” All of Harry’s questions felt like a tonne of bricks, causing more tears to well up in my eyes, and eventually cascade down my cheeks. “Hey, hey, hey, what’s wrong? What are the tears for?” Not a second later he was by my side, kneeling down beside the bench, hands pulling on mine gently.
“I’ve had enough.” I cried, allowing him to pull my body around so he was kneeling now between my legs.
“Enough of what, my love?” His voice was soft, gentle, matching the feel of his caresses over my hands.
“I know we’re not s-s-supposed to r-read about ourselves in the n-news, but-” My hiccups became too much, completely cutting me off.
“Shhh, lovie, take a breath, yeah? Calm down, it’s okay. I’m here now.” The look in his eyes broke my heart; his pupils were swimming with concern and anxiety at finding me in this state.
“They were talking about how you’re really close with all of these women, like Cara and Caroline and all of that... And you know that picture that paps took of me like three weeks ago and I was crying because of something stupid on the phone outside of the set?” Harry nodded in confirmation, not wanting to cut me off in my flow. “Well according to them that was me crying about you cheating on me with all of these girls and how I felt trapped in this relationship and all that. They said I was calling someone to find another place to live for a bit or something. I know it sounds stupid, Harry, trust me, I know; because I know you’d never cheat on me, and I know they’re just you’re friends, but at the same time, this constant bombardment from the press is just so tiring! I just want to go outside and not be followed.” By this point I’d slowly sunk to the floor, tears continuing to flow freely from my eyes; but he was there to hold me. My head rested on his shoulder, nose pressed into his skin whilst his hands ran soothingly up and down my back.
“I know it’s hard, baby.” Harry spoke softly, his breath washing over the side of my face. “But it’s our life, yeah? We’ve just gotta live it the best way that we can and fuck them and what they think. They’ve got no idea what goes on behind closed doors; they have no idea how much we love each other; they’ve not got a clue what stupid stuff we talk about in the middle of the night when we can’t sleep. But trust me, I’ve waited too long for this to let them come between them. You’re the love of my life.” My heart fluttered at the end of his mini rant, a small smile playing on my lips.
“Really?” I croaked, lifting my head enough to catch his gaze. The previous expression that had evoked such sadness within me was now replaced by one that filled me with delight; he looked so in love, his eyes were shining in the darkness of the room, his lips only inches from mine.
“Yeah, of course. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, baby. What we have... just feels... right. You know?” I nodded in agreement, leaning forward to press a kiss to his lips.
“I’m so in love with you, Harry.” I muttered.
“And I’m so in love with you.” He finished his declaration with my name.
The rest of the evening was quiet, peaceful; he sat beside me as I lay in the bath, his fingers intertwined with mine. It didn’t feel weird at all to be lying in front of him completely naked, he knew everything about me; every curve and bump of my body, every thought in my mind; everything.
“Wanna know something funny?” Harry asked gently. I nodded, swirling my free hand in the cooling water. “I was trying to write a song for you... well about you, all day and I was struggling so much,” He chuckled, looking down at our hands. “The boys were starting to take the piss, saying I wasn’t a real songwriter because I literally sat there for hours and didn’t write a single word. But in the fifteen minutes we’ve been here, I think I’ve got something.”
“Can I hear it?” I asked hopefully, sitting up a bit to lean my head on the side of the tub, mirroring the positioning of his.
“Yeah,” He cleared his throat a little, shaking his head as if he were about to belt it out, but in what must have been the softest I’d ever heard his voice he smoothly sung:
They don’t know I've waited all my life Just to find a love that feels this right Baby they don’t know about, they don’t know about us
                                              ---------------------
Strong
Think of how much love that's been wasted People always trying to escape it Move on to stop their heart breaking But there's nothing I'm running from You make me strong
“What are you even talking about, Harry?” My voice was hoarse, not from shouting (because that was something I refused to do), but from the hours and hours we’d been going at each other in this fight. “You’re taking this way out of context and trying to put words into my mouth!” Exasperation and frustration were clear in my words as my hands sat on my hips, sending Harry a slight glare as he stood on the other side of the living room.
“I don’t think I am, love,” The pet name in this context seemed a little sarcastic as his voice was definitely louder than usual, but not yet shouting. I think he’d exhausted himself an hour or so ago. “I think I’ve hit the nail bang on the head.”
“All I said was that I would appreciate more time with you; that’s all! What I didn’t say is that I don’t think you should be going out with your friends and reducing the amount of time you spend on tour.”
“That’s not something I can do, Y/N! I’m not in control of that! I can’t just go to management and say ‘oh yeah, my missus has got the hump, can we just cut out some of those dates?’“
“Harry, please!” Now that he was starting to get away with himself, clearly becoming more and more angry by the minute, I needed to clear the air. “That’s not something I’m asking from you.” I repeated, my voice cool, calm and collected. “I’m just asking you to consider spending some more of the time you have in England at home. You’ve been out nearly every night the last two weeks with various people-”
“I’ve always invited you to come too!”
“Harry please don’t interrupt me.” I begged.
“You’re being unreasonable.” It was clear to me now that he was definitely not prepared for an adult conversation, so I decided it was a good time for me to go upstairs and give him time to cool down.
“I can’t talk to you when you’re like this, I’m gonna leave you.” Before I’d even made it four metres to the stairs, Harry’s hand had grabbed my arm; I was about to say something about man-handling me when I caught his expression.
He looked broken, eyes filled with fear as his lips were parted. “Please don’t leave me.” His voice had absolutely no hint of anger anymore, just pure terror.
“Leave you? No, Harry, I meant leave you alone to calm down. I was just... going upstairs.” I trailed off, eyeing him in confusion. His hand let go of me, both palms cradling his temples.
“Fuck,” He breathed.
“Why would you think I’d leave you?” I asked, stepping closer to him as he started pacing around the room. When I received no answer I called out his name.
“That’s just how it happened to my parents.” His voice was so quiet I almost missed it. My heart sunk.
“Hey,” I walked over to him, allowing my arms to go around him as I rested my head against his chest. I could hear his heart thumping against his ribcage frantically. “That’s not what’s going on here.” I explained. “It’s just a little fight, yeah? Nothing we can’t come through.” His arms were tightly holding me against him, his cheek against the top of my head.
“I just thought you’d leave before something happened.”
“What do you mean?”
“I dunno, just to leave before I broke your heart or something.” He muttered, sounding almost like he was too scared to even say it.
“No, Harry. No.” I shook my head, tightening my arms around him. “I love you so much, too much almost.” I let out a little laugh. “I wouldn’t do that to either of us.”
“Would be a waste.”
“Yes, a waste.” I agreed, looking up at him. “I’m not running away from this... from us. I never want to do that.” I reassured.
Hours had past; apologies had been exchanged, promises made and kisses traded. I walked out of the kitchen, holding two glasses of wine to find him hunched over the journal I’d brought him for Christmas last year.
“What you writing, superstar?” I teased, sinking into the sofa beside him. Without words, he tilted the pages for me to look at his writing:
But there's nothing I'm running from You make me strong
                                             ---------------------
Night Changes
We're only getting older, baby And I've been thinking about it lately Does it ever drive you crazy Just how fast the night changes? Everything that you've ever dreamed of Disappearing when you wake up But there's nothing to be afraid of Even when the night changes, it will never change me and you
The night had been absolutely beautiful. Harry had arranged to take me out to a fancy restaurant for our fourth anniversary, wining and dining me like he was trying to make a good first impression on an initial date.
We walked the short distance from the restaurant back to our home, fingers laced together, the warmth in our bodies from the, perhaps too much, alcohol we’d had with dinner.
“Thank you for tonight, lovie.” I smiled up at him, his features somewhat shadowed by the darkness, but subtly illuminated by the various street lamps.
“It was my pleasure, baby. Thank you for the best four years of my entire life.” My skin flushed before I leaned up to press a soft kiss to his cheek.
 “How is it that you can still make me blush and feel all gooey inside after all this time?” I wondered aloud. Harry shrugged, a smirk on his lips as he turned into our driveway.
“Just a god really, aren’t I?” He shot me a wink, letting go of my hand to unlock the door. I laughed, shaking my head at him.
“I can tell you one thing that’s never changed.” He raised his eyebrows at me in question, holding his arm up to keep the door open.
“After you,” He muttered, watching as I ducked under his arm and into the house.
“You’re still a cocky bastard.”
“I can assure you, madam, my parents were married.” I spun around, looking at him before we both burst into a fit of giggles.
“Stop it! You’re still 17 I swear!” I chortled, kicking my heels off by the door (a problem for me to sort tomorrow).
“Yeah, but you love it though, don’t you, sweetheart?” His lips were centimetres from my ear, hand squeezing my bum playfully.
“You’re such a flirt.” I countered, a wide grin on my face.
“Just for you.” He winked again, taking off his jacket and hanging it up before mirroring my actions with his own shoes.
“You know what else is for you?” I asked, attempting to adorn my best sultry tone.
“Hmm?” He hummed in return, eyes flickering over my body.
“All of this.” I muttered, gesturing to my body. “These,” I continued, my index finger playfully stroking down my breasts. Suddenly Harry was advancing on me; but I was faster. I let out a small shriek, spinning around and running up the stairs.
“Hey! Come back, you pest!” Harry shouted after me. I could hear his footsteps chasing after me. “You’re gonna pay for that!”
“Thank you again.” I muttered, lips slowly trailing over his naked torso, the sheets pulled up under my armpits to cover my own bare skin.
“I’d do anything for you.” He smiled, watching as my lips made their way from his pectorals, up his sternum, to his neck and eventually to his lips.
“You’re the love of my life.” I replied, laying my head against his skin after our kiss. We lay there in silence for a few minutes, just soaking in each other before I heard him softly humming a tune I’d not heard before.
“What’s that?” I asked curiously, propping myself up on my elbow.
“Just thought of it.” He replied, turning his head to look at me. “I wrote some lyrics the other day, and I think they’d go with that.” I looked at him in a way to encourage him to go on. He playfully rolled his eyes at me before clearing his throat, gently singing the words to the tune he’d just been humming:
But there's nothing to be afraid of Even when the night changes, it will never change me and you
11 with dazai? Congrats on your blog growing! 💜💜💜
11. „Oh God, you’re bleeding.” with Dazai Osamu
„Dazai ?”
„ ... “
„Dazai !? Where are you ?”
But there was nothing. Nothing but silence.
.
.
.
„Oi Dazai, get up. You have a mission.”
„But Kunikida-kuuuuun I don’t wanna !”
„Dazai !” growled Kunikida
Kunikida was getting angry. As always, Dazai annoyed him. At the same time, you came through the door and went to your desk. You greeted everyone who was in the office but the two males didn’t noticed you. The two just kept arguing and you decided to end the argument. You went over to them and spoke to them.
„Hello Kunikida. Hello Dazai. What are you talking about ?”
„Ah, hello Y/N. We are talking about a mission and THIS wasting bandage machine is too lazy to get up and go to the mission !” he said angry
„Oh, can I go to the mission. I haven’t been on a mission in a long time.” You said excited
„Are you sure ? It’s a simple one. Dazai can go alone.”
„Aaah Kunikida-kuuuuun I want to go with Y/N-chaaan !!!” whined Dazai
„See, Kunikida-san. Even Dazai is for that.”
Kunikida locked at both of you skeptically but then he gave in.
„Fine, you two are going to the mission.”
„YAY !” you both yelled
„Like I said, it’s a simple mission. You just need to meet a informant and get some information from him. More information about the mission is here.” he said and gave you the briefcase
You quickly flicked through the briefcase and looked for the address.
„Okay, Let’s go Dazai. It’s really simple so we will be back soon. Goodbye Kunikida.”
„Goodbye Y/N. Be careful.”
„I will.”
Little did you know that this mission wasn’t so simple like you thought.
And you wouldn’t return so soon.
.
.
„DAZAI ! Please answer me ! W-Where Are You ?!” you shouted with tears in your eyes
What went wrong ?
It should be a simple meeting with the informant. But why? Why went it all wrong?
When you both left the agency, you both went to the given address. Once there, you were standing in front of an abandoned building near the slums. No one was around, so you both went to the indicated floor.
And then it started to go wrong.
Once you arrived at the floor, you saw only a table with a letter on it. You and Dazai walked over to it and once you were near the table you heard a quite sound.
Pip...pip...pip...
You quickly looked under the table and there it was...
A smal package with a timer on it.
„Y/N, RUN !!!” yelled Dazai but it was already to late.
The small package went off and the floors and walls collapsed. The building was collapsing and you with it. You were lucky. The debis didn’t hit you that hard you had only a few scratches but what about Dazai ?
And now you were searching him in these ruins. But it was very difficult to see anything in this cloud of dust. You could only call him and hope that he gives you a sign.
Suddenly you heard light cough.You quickly made your way in the direction where the sound came and you saw him. His legs and half of his torso were buried in crumbs. He was lying in his own pool of blood. You saw that he was in pain but when he saw you he smiled.
„H-Hey, Y/N.”
„Oh God,you’re bleeding!”
„It’s o-ok.” he said and smiled
„Please don’t say anything !”
You rushed to him.His eyes were dimmed. Bruises and deep wounds everywhere on his body. His clothes were all in blood. But he had his usual smile on his face. He was smiling like nothing happened but you could see that he was in pain.
„But Be..lla..do..na.. *cough* I think my t-time h-has come. I-it isn’t a rom..antic double sui...cide but...”
„NO! I won’t let you die! Not like this. Not h-here!” you cried.
Hot tears were rolling down you face as you tried to free him till your own hands started bleed. He was bleeding out and help wasn’t even close.
„Ssshhhh, I-it’s ok.”
He put his hand on your cheek and wiped the tears from your face. His thumb left a small trace of blood. His hands grew colder and weaker. You put your hand on his and his eyes started to close.
„D-Dazai Please! Don’t close your e-eyes.” you sobbed
„I-I’m sorry. Please for..give me.” he said and his vision got darker and darker
„No. no no no no NO! HELP!!!”
This were the last things he heard befor he fainted.
.
.
„Dazai.”
„....”
„Dazai, wake up.”
He heard a familiar voice. He opened his eyes and saw HIM !
„ODASAKU ?!”
„Yes, it’s me.” the familiar figure said
Dazai looked around. He recognized the cemetery. His friend Oda Sakunosuke had been laying here for already four years. Oda sat on the side of his tombstone and looked at Dazai.
„But you are dead.”
„Yes I am.”
„But why?...I don’t understand...”
Dazai didn’t understand the whole situation. He was dying in this ruins and yet he was at the cemetery and was talking to his deceased friend.
„There isn’t much to understand.”
Oda stood up and went to Dazai. He placed his hand on Dazai’s shoulder. His hand was warm. It was like he was still alive.
„You’ve been doing good....Now Go. It’s to early for you to be here.”
„Wait...Odasaku...I..you...”
Dazai couldn’t speak. It was all so confusing. He wanted to talk with Odasaku a little longer but suddenly everything started to fade away. He panicked. Even the floor beneath him started to disappear. He turned around and saw that his friend was slowly disappearing too.
„Wait...No!...Odasaku!”
He tried to grab him but the floor disappeared under him disappeared when he almost grabbed him.
„Save the weak, and protect the orphans.”
These were the last words Dazai heard before he fell into the void.
.
.
„He’s awake!” someone said
He opened his eyes and closed them again because it was too bright. He could hear some “peeps” from some machines and some people talking. He couldn’t recognize any of these voices but he knew that he was alive. After some time he was already fully awake. The doctors made all checks on him and explained the situation.
He had several serious injuries. Below that is a broken leg and two broken legs.He was lucky that he was still alive. His heart stopped beating for several minutes during the operation. The doctors were losing him but suddenly it started beating again.
He was alone in his room. The doctors gave him some pain relievers and the only thing he could do was to look out of the window and think about everything.
‘Why Odasaku? Why didn’t you let me die?’
His thoughts surrounded him and he couldn’t understand most of the things. He had so much questions but he knew that he needed to life to find the answers.
„Dazai!!!” a familiar voice yelled
He turned around and saw Y/N. She had some scratches and bruises but she was ok.
„I’m so happy that you finally awake.” Y/N cried and hugged him
„Ah, did my belladonna miss me so much?” he teased a little
„Of course I missed you. You were in a coma for about 5 days.”
He didn’t change.
After he passed out you were yelling for help constantly.He was lucky that Yosano was near them. She gave first aid while you called an ambulance.
„You know you lucky?”
„Yes, I know.” he said and smiled
„Everyone missed you.”
„Even Kunikida?” he asked curious
„Even Kunikida. Soooo, I’m going home but I promise I will come back tomorrow for a little longer.”
„Be careful, belladonna.”
„I will. Bye.” you gave him a kiss on the cheek and left
He touched the place where you kissed him and smiled. He turned around to the window and watched the sky again. It was already evening and the sky turned orange.
„Don’t worry Odasaku. I will save the weak, and protect the orphans.” he said
And a sad smile appeared on his face.
Light On The Other Side
A Lumity Fic in which a green-haired angel of death falls in love with a mortal spirit made of light
There are those who say that Death is a creature of ill will; a monster who in one fell swoop would reap your soul, rending your life from your body without a second thought, perhaps even laughing while doing so. The dark, skeletal, and evil depictions of Death, however, are entirely incorrect.
Death and their angels do not pick or chose who they will ferry to the Beyond, or when it is time to leave. Death is simply drawn to the extinction of one's life, extending a guiding hand to the lost, and offering answers to the confused. They are the ones who protect the wayward souls whose lives have come to an end.
Though the end isn't always final.
Walking through the Door to the Beyond with a Kiss from an angel of Death is to step into a new life with bountiful luck and fortune, and they are believed to live long, wondrous lives.
This is what the pale hooded figure had explained to the small child, who was taken from his world much sooner than was deemed fair. They stand before one another in an overcrowded bedroom filled with hospice care equipment and mourning family, frozen in their places as the reaper spoke to the translucent spirit of the red-headed child.
Terminal cancer had spread through the child's small body with the fury of a raging inferno; the pale guide had been around long enough to see the strength of the child's lifeline wither and wilt, until finally, many suffering months later, the lifeline had gone entirely.
"So," the child mutters, looking back to where he can see his family gathered around his small body settled on the gurney, "I'm dead?"
The hooded guide nods, solemn. "Yes, sweet Braxus. I'm afraid so."
Young Braxus nods slowly, wrapping his mind around the concept. "Am I going to the bad place?"
The guide gives a small, forced smile, and kneels before Braxus. "No, little one. You're going to a much kinder place," she soothes, placing a small kiss to his brilliant red hair as she takes a key from around her neck. "You will be going to a place that will treat you with much more kindness than was given to you in this life."
The guide presses the key into the air before the two, which disappears halfway with the sound of a resonating click. An ornate door folds out from the air, a brilliant golden eye blinking down at them from its center.
"Wait!" The young child pauses, staring wide-eyed at the door, his grip on the guides hand vice-like. "What's your name?"
The guide startles at the question, having hardly been asked as such, but smiles regardless, lowering the hood of the cloak around her shoulders. Rich green hair falls into place, and soft, golden eyes watch Braxus's curious brown ones.
"Not many have bothered to ask an Angel of Death their name," the guide says, "but you may know me as Amity."
Braxus lowers his head, his eyes wet. "I'm going to forget you, aren't I, Amity?"
The green-haired guide gives another nod, standing before the child. "Yes," she says, "but you will go on to make new memories, Braxus. You will live a life full of love, laughter, and joy. You will run in the warmth of the sun, bathe in the coolness of the ocean, and you will know what it is to love freely."
Braxus watches the golden eyes peering down at him with wonder. "Can you see the future? How can you be so sure?"
The smile given to Braxus is a genuine one this time, small and serene. "I cannot see the future, but I know that my blessing will work."
"But how do you know?"
The guide ponders the question for a time, knowing that the two of them could stand there, frozen in this instant, while the green-haired reaper explained the precise reasons as to why she knows it will work. But they would be standing around all day, and quite frankly, Amity had much more work to be done.
"I know," she eventually says, "because I have seen the past of all of those I've ferried before. Many of whom had received a blessing from one of my kind, and all of those who had received one had gone to live such lives."
Braxus ponders the green-haired girl's words for a time before a broad grin spread over his features. "Okay," he says with finality, latching onto Amity's leg in a hug.
"Are you ready, Braxus?"
He parts from her, nodding his head, and his spirit starts to glow. "Good-bye, Miss Amity," he says, stepping back into the doorway and into his new life. "Thank you for everything."
In a flash of light, the boy is gone, and the light from the doorway has vanished. Amity stares through the now dark and void open door, pondering.
In all her ferrying years, the countless lifetimes she's seen come and go, watching the spirits of the departed never seems to get any easier. For many of them, like young Braxus, it takes days, perhaps weeks, and sometimes even months, before a wayward soul is ready to depart the world of the living. Those tortured and unwilling are left to their own devices until they are good and ready to move on.
Amity often views it as a blessing and a curse; to wander the world of the living, unseen and unheard by those who still cling to life, helping those who have lost their own, while being unable to keep any of the bonds she forges.
It is a dark and lonely life, to be in the employ of Death. Thinking back on her time before makes her chest feel heavy, and she shakes the thought from her head.
Now is not the time to dwell on such memories.
Another wayward has appeared nearby, and it draws her near.
An Invisible Secret
Ace sits up after a few hours, they rubbed their eyes confused fixing their glasses
“Where...Ah my head hurts”
Ace thought to themselves and closed their eyes tight trying to figure out what type of headache this is
Hearing the others come downstairs Ace glanced over
“Hey, you didn’t come up with us earlier?”
Nems asked confused and Ace rubbed their arm
“It’s nothing, what do we do about the invitation?”
Ace signed pushing their own needs away, the five glanced at each other thinking
“We should talk to Dark, I doubt he wants to...know about this but it is our only option”
Jack said rubbing their arm
“Such a long walk”
Angela groaned leaning back against the wall thinking
“I know Anti needs to get this bus system plan into actual action”
“Why don’t we ask Marvin?”
Nicole asked curiously and Ace glanced at the time
“We can, he doesn’t go to do a show for a while”
Ace signed and stood
Unaware that Anti even left the five heads outside
From pouring rain to an oddly bright and sunny day, Ace glanced around
“I wonder if the rain is always like that this time of year? It’s going to drown out the crops”
Angela mumbled as they started to walk down the hill, Ace nodded glancing towards the village as a few people were out and about
At the house, Nems sighed knocking
The door opened as Robbie stood at the other side, he tilted his head
“Friend...here...why?”
Robbie started and the five glanced at each other
“Hey, Robbie um is Marvin here? We wanted to…”
Angela started before glancing up as Anti walked up beside Robbie putting his hand on his brother's shoulder
“What do you want?”
Anti grumbled
“Oh, Anti you’re not in bed? Huh”
Jack said before glancing around
“We...need a faster way to go see Dark”
“Why?”
Anti said and Ace sighed mentally
“We need to speak with him, can either you or Marvin teleport us to the city?”
Ace signed
“Marvin, get your ass over here and do it”
Anti said and Marvin grumbled
“It’s my turn in the game you do it”
Marvin said and Anti glanced at the five
“Be home by tonight”
He said and glitched the five away
Appearing in the city the five glanced around
“We should just walk around the city, we never got to explore without like supervision before”
Angela said softly glancing around curiously
“After we speak to Dark”
Nicole said softly and the five started to walk
Ace stayed in the back and glanced down one of the streets heading to the eastern outskirts of town
Spotting a blue-headed female their eyes widen
“It’s her again…”
She said mentally and glanced at the group hesitantly, slipping away unnoticed Ace started to follow the girl
On the outskirts of town the girl started to walk towards the edge, Ace watched curiously as they kept a distance
“Where is she going?”
Ace thought and continued to follow
Spotting the unknown floating islands in the distance Ace stopped
“There is no way she is going to just walk over?”
Ace thought watching as the blue-headed girl stopped at the edge
She glanced around before she took a step off of the mainland, floating seemingly on air she started to walk
Ace’s eyes widen watching as the girl started to run out towards the islands
Ace walked up to the general area she was at watching as she disappeared from sight
Ace glanced down off the edge as they started to feel sick to their stomach, Ace gulped slowly moving their foot off the edge
Feeling something under their foot Ace tilted their head
“An invisible bridge?”
Ace thought to themselves before taking a few steps back, Ace took a moment and used their hands creating an X right in front of the bridge before feeling their phone go off
Ace started to walk away with a sigh catching up with the group
At Dark’s place Ace decided to keep quiet about what happened, heading up towards Dark’s office a sound came over from down the hall
“I’m surprised you know that much about over there...are you from there?”
Juliette asked softly as she and Luca stepped out of a room
“The mountains? Uh...Um yeah...yeah I am”
Luca said glancing at Juliette as he held a bucket of cleaning supplies
“Woah”
Juliette smiled as she stared at him, despite being here for only about a month something sparkled in Juliette’s eyes that she hasn’t felt in awhile
“Juliette!”
Pandora’s voice echoed the hall causing the five to jump glancing up at her
“Hi Panda”
Juliette said softly glancing at her older sister
“Come on, we are supposed to go shopping today, what are you doing with him?”
Pandora raised an eyebrow and Juliette bit her tongue
“It’s nothing...come on we can’t keep Faith and Lumi waiting”
Juliette gave a smile following her sister
Nems glanced at Jack
“Think someone is starting to have a crush”
Nems chuckled gesturing to Juliette as they walked away
Jack chuckled before knocking on Dark’s door, while waiting they watched as Luca let out a sigh watching Juliette walk away
“...bye…”
Luca said quietly with his shoulders slumping a bit
Hearing the door open the five turned their attention to Dark
“Come in”
Dark sighed stepping to the side
All inside the room each of the five glanced at each other
“Dark...we need to talk Anti-”
Jack started as Dark sits down, Dark picked up an invitation card from his desk glancing at the group
“He had the guts to invite you to the very thing that killed you?”
Nems scoffed in shock and Dark sighed glancing at the card in clear disgust
“I get everyone's mail before they receive them, he invited Wilford as well but I am not allowing Wilford to see the invitation"
Dark stated putting the invitation down, Ace glanced down at his desk noticing the number of papers all over
They tilted their head as the only part that remained clear had three crystals sitting there
“What do you plan on doing? I mean...is Actor here in the void?”
Angela asked confused
“Yes, unfortunately, he is…”
“But how did no one know? Don’t you three have a list of who lives in the void?”
“That’s the problematic part, we have a list but...Actor’s little city is not part of it”
Dark stated leaning back
“...Luca stated he’s from that city, so have you ever found his name on the list?”
“No”
Dark said and sits up moving the papers on his desk
“I don’t see his name anywhere”
Dark mumbled before glancing at the five
“You five seem certainly worried about Anti”
Dark pointed out, the five shift a bit
“It’s not that we are worried or care-”
Jack started before Nems glanced at them with a chuckle
“Okay fine we do care, we don’t want anything happening to any of you…”
Jack said and Dark chuckled a bit
“I can assure you nothing will happen...if Actor wants a poker night…”
Dark started glancing at the invitation
“I’ll be sure he pays”
Dark mumbled crossing his arms
He took a moment to think before looking at the five
“Do you all have plans for today?”
Dark asked and the five glanced at each other
“Not that I’m aware of?”
Nicole said and the others shrugged
Dark sits up picking up the three crystals off his desk
“You five go shopping with the girls”
Dark said and Nems tilted her head
“None of us have money-”
“Take it as a gift, I am paying for the girls to go shopping, and from what I can tell you all need it too”
Dark said and Ace glanced down at their worn-out outfit with a sigh
“Oh thank you, that is...nice of you”
Jack started before Dark sighed
“Remember, Anti isn’t the only one who has control”
Dark chuckled before he glanced at Jack
“Well besides you, I can see that Anti has you under his control now”
“It’s...a long story”
Jack shrugged before standing
“Thank you Dark”
The group said as they headed off into the halls heading off to the sound of the girls' voices
Dark puts his crystals down before letting out a sigh
“You want a poker night Mark? We’ll see about that”
Dark grumbled as he stood taking his cane, he looked at his reflection before sighing
“I know where you are after all these years, I won’t let you ruin my life again...not this time”
Dark grumbled as he sets off into the hotel
Falling
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: panic attack, anxiety, implied/referenced suicide attempt, depression
Characters: Loki Odinson, Thor Odinson, Stephen Strange
Mentioned: Odin Borson, Tony Stark, Jane Foster, Amora, the Other, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Thanos, Frigga
Loki tried to hide the shock on his face when he saw the scene of destruction in front of them. He could feel Thor tense beside him, clutching Mjolnir tightly as he looked on at what was once a Midgardian building. Summoning as much bravery as he could muster, Loki decided to speak up. “I swear I left him right here.”
“Right here on the sidewalk or right there where the building is being demolished?” Thor asked. Odin, he’s been spending too much time with Stark. “Great planning.”
“How was I supposed to know?” Loki asked, exasperated. “I can’t see into the future. I’m not a witch.”
“No?” Thor quipped back. “Then why do you dress like one?”
Definitely been spending too much time with Stark.
“Hey,” Thor started, his voice a bit softer now. Loki glanced up at him with a raised eyebrow. “I can’t believe you’re alive. I saw you die. I mourned you. I cried for you.”
Loki frowned a bit. He hadn’t really thought that his brother would miss him. In the moment he had assumed that he was just putting on because Jane was there, but he kept looking over at him now like he feared he might vanish if he looked away. “I’m honored,” he said uncertainly, the words almost sounding like a question rather than a statement.
Thor started to speak, but a group of Midgardian girls walked over to them, greeting Thor nervously. “Hi,” one of them said. “Would you mind taking a picture with us?”
Loki watched as Thor’s face lit up. “Oh, sure,” he replied. He turned to Loki as the younger stepped back. “Start figuring out where he is.”
Loki rolled his eyes, watching as the girls took their picture. “Oh, my God,” one of them said, catching his attention again. “Sorry to heat that Jane dumped you.”
As they left, Loki felt a stab of pity. He still vividly remembered his past loves, especially Amora, and he knew that it hurt when they left. But before he could say anything, Thor was shrugging it off. “She didn’t dump me, you know,” he huffed. “I dumped her. It was a mutual dumping.”
While Loki was deciding what to say, he was startled by a noise. Looking down, he saw a circle of gold sparkles appearing around him. Thor must have noticed them too, because he pointed at them with Mjolnir. “What’s this?” he asked. “What are you doing?”
“This isn’t me,” Loki told him. Before he had a chance to move, he felt the ground give out beneath him and he was suddenly falling. He let out a yelp without meaning to before he was plunged into darkness, the light above him quickly closing.
Immediately, he felt his chests tighten. “No, no, no, not again!” he cried out, scrambling to try to catch himself on anything but failing miserably. All he could see was darkness. Again. There was nothing there. Not even a light. He was in the Void again. He was falling. He was falling and he couldn’t breathe.
Loki felt terribly warm as the panic spread through his body. He was sure he must be sweating already, and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to catch his breath. The wind from the continuous fall didn’t help, only making it harder to grasp the air around him. All he could think of was how he floated along for what felt like forever. How he was so alone and he just wanted to die but he couldn’t die. He had let go so he would die but not even death wanted him.
At the same time, he found himself fearing what would happen when he eventually landed. He could not face the Other again. He could not see the Black Order or Thanos again. He just couldn’t. They would take control of his mind again and force him to hurt people and kill people and Thor would hate him again. He would be locked away in the dungeons of Asgard again, slowly losing his mind, and this time he wouldn’t have his mother there to soothe his anxieties.
Loki could feel himself growing faint as he struggled to keep his panic at bay. His chest was tight, a knot forming in his throat, and all he could do was gasp. He almost thought that might be better. It might be better if he fell unconscious instead of being awake throughout the fall, but he knew that he had to stay awake. He had to be able to fight if they found him. Not that he was in any shape to fight in the middle of a panic attack, but he could at least attempt to move away from them.
Using all of the will he had left, Loki forced himself to focus on his breathing. He spent what felt like hours but he knew was just a few agnozing minutes trying to calm himself. He did finally manage to breathe in more regularly, but the anxiety was still there and it was still painful. It haunted him, begging him to give in, but he couldn’t let go. He couldn’t.
Finally, Loki saw a light beneath him. He realized with a sharp scream that he was going to hit the ground, but didn’t have a chance to conjure any magic before he was landing with a grunt. When he lifted his head, he realized that Thor was there and almost leg out a sigh of relief. Thinking better of it, he forced himself to speak. The last thing he needed right now was to be questioned. “I have been falling for thirty minutes!”
There was a beat of silence before Loki heard an unfamiliar voice. “You can handle him from here,” the man said. Loki had to fight back another wave of panic as he tried to place him. Who was he? Why was he here? What did he want with Loki?
“Yes, of course,” Thor said. Loki found himself focusing on his voice to try to ground himself. “Thank you very much for your help.”
“Good luck.”
Loki struggled to his feet, facing the strange man. He was dressed in a strange outfit, a red cape draped over his back. It was a bit different from Thor’s, he realized, despite being the same color. It was more of a cloak than a cape, and seemed to float a bit. “Handle me?” he forced himself to speak. “Who are you?”
Loki drew out a knife in each hand, catching Thor moving forward with a hand out. It was a weak attempt to stop him, Loki realized. This man must have got off on the wrong foot with Thor for him to not move forward more and hold him back. He didn’t seem to actually care all that much, seeming more exasperated than anything as he said, “Loki.”
Loki decided to ignore Thor, moving forward more. There was a slight anger growing inside of him. This was the man who had made him fall. He was the one who had sent him into a panic attack. If Loki knew anything, he knew he couldn’t trust him. “You think you’re some kind of sorcerer? Don’t think for one minute, you second rate—”
“Bye-bye.”
Loki barely registered the farewell before he was hit with an invisible force and he and Thor were pushed back through a portal onto a grassy landscape. He felt his body relax slightly as the man disappeared out of sight, and for several moments he just stood there, panting. He was okay. He wasn’t falling anymore.
He would be okay.
Tumblr media
That morning it was hard to get out of bed. That wasn't the only thing, though. It was hard to wake up. To open his eyes. To breathe. To exist. Everything hurt as he lied staring at the ceiling. His bed felt empty and cold with only him in it, void of extra warmth and a pair of arms wrapped around him. It was quiet without the sound of gentle snoring or early morning chatter, the only sound instead his shaky breaths. It was atleast an hour before he could find the motivation to get out of bed. Another hour later he was walking out his door in black suit, getting lost in his thoughts until he's standing outside the funeral home. It takes everything in him to walk inside and walk in that room without crying. He was the first one there, sitting in the back corner of the dimly lit walls with his head in his hands.
"Come on Pea!" You smile, taking his hand and pulling him after you.
"We already had milkshakes today." He sighed in protest though you still took him inside Pops and ordered.
"Since when do you say no to more milkshakes?" You ask, unable to hold back a laugh.
He could hear your laugh echo through the building but it's gone before he can salvage the sound. Maybe it was just in his head, but it didn't matter.
Five minutes later Toni, Fangs, Jughead, and Betty arrived, five minutes after that Veronica, Kevin, Archie, and Cheryl.
"Hey Pea." Fangs said, pulling his friend into a hug. He falls against him, tightly gripping Fangs. He couldn't help but wish it was you holding him.
You are not allowed to go out anymore." Sweet Pea says after you'd come home with cuts and bruises.
"I'm fine." You assured him as you turned your head with your chin and cleans your cuts. "It was a small fight that I won."
"But now you're hurt." He says. "I'm supposed to stop you from getting hurt."
"I can handle myself." You say, standing up and so does Sweet Pea. "I'm not a delicate princess."
"You're my princess." He smiles, wrapping his arms around you. You roll your eyes but copy his smile, pulling him into a strong hug.
"You okay?" Toni asks, seeing her friend standing still with a distant look in his eyes. She knew he was getting lost in his thoughts and memories again like he had been the past week, having to hold back her own tears. "She loved you, Sweet Pea. She still does."
He nods and presses his lips into a line, scrunching his face together as to make sure no tears slip out. "Thanks Topaz." He mumbles. She squeezes his arm before walking towards Cheryl.
"I love you." You say, still staring up at the stars in the back of the truck you both lied on.
"What?" Sweet Pea quickly looks away from the stars and watches you, examining your side profile.
"I love you." You repeat, finally turning to look at him. A smile was on your face as you saw the look of excitement and love on his face.
"I love you." He smiles, leaning closer to you and pressing his lips against yours. "I love you so much, Y/n Y/l/n."
"Aw you're such a Sweetie." You giggle as he hovered over you.
"I hate you."
"You love me,"
You sit up on your elbows to meet him in the middle, your lips fitting together perfectly before parting and rejoining. A warm tingle was spreading through you from a source in your chest, like how you felt when you first kissed but ten times more intense. You knew he felt it too, the warmth seeming to radiate off of him in waves. He moved so you were above him before sitting up so you straddled his lap. His lips trailed down to your neck, your hands combing through his hair.
"Sweet Pea," you breathe after his teeth grazed your neck causing your breath to hitch in your throat. He pulled away as quick as he'd started, a partially embarrassed.
"I'm sorry I just-"
You cut his apology off with a kiss softer than before. "It's okay."
The two of you were just that; just the two of you. You had all your firsts together, first relationship, first breakup, first kiss, first I love you, first hook up. You explored this new world of being teenagers and being a boyfriend or girlfriend together, and ever step seemed easy with him by your side. Despite your obviously differing personalities, yours greetings and smiles while his was "don't talk to me, I bite", you fit together like a two puzzle pieces from separate puzzles that didn't go with the rest but were perfect for each other.
But then one day you disappeared. At first he just thought you were off doing your own thing, then thought you were blowing him off; that he said something wrong. After a week of nobody seeing or hearing a single thing from you, the missing persons report was filed. You weren't really known as Y/n around the school anymore, more as the girl who went missing last week. The days went on and Sweet Pea tore himself up over it. Maybe you ran away because of him because you thought you were moving too fast. Maybe you never really loved him, it was just an act until you could get away. Maybe you were hurt somewhere and--
"Sweet Pea, you in there?" Fangs asked causing him to physically jump up out of his head.
"Yeah, just... Thinking." He answers, running a hand through his hair.
"She'll come back dude." He gives Sweet Pea a sympathetic pat on the back before walking to his seat.
"Sweet Pea, can you join me in the office please." Weatherbee asks after walking into the classroom. Sweet Pea rolls his eyes but does so, the principal closing the door to his office once they get there.
"Sweet Pea, you might want to take a seat. The news I'm about to tell you is... Shaking." Weatherbee says.
"I can take it." He says through his teeth.
The man in front of him frowns and sits at his desk, his hands folded in front of him. "Well, I got a call from the sheriff's office about an open case."
"She's home?" Sweet Pea asks knowing immediately which case it was, his entire body language changing, "where is she, can I see her?"
"Miss. Y/l/n was found, yes, but she... She wasn't alive. I'm sorry."
"No, no you're lying."
"Sweet Pea, I understand this will be a hard time for you," Weatherbee starts but is cut off by Sweet Pea running out of the room and to the parking lot, a mess of emotions that seemed to be drowning him, pulling him further and further into the depths of his spiraling mind with stops along the way of memories and thoughts of you. Of his girl. His girl that wasn't really his girl anymore because how could you be his girl if you were gone?
"Sweet Pea?" He heard you say.
"Y/n?" He looked up with excitement shining in his dull eyes but they went back to the previously seen empty look after seeing it was just Betty. "Oh. Hey."
"I'm going to go talk to Toni." Betty excuses herself. Sweet Pea silently wished that she'd taken Jughead with her, not wanting the burden laid upon him of pouring out his feelings to someone else because that's all everyone keeps fucking asking.
"Jones, I swear to God if you ask me how I'm doing I'm going to throw you into a wall." Sweet Pea says, not meeting his eye instead looking at his own hands that had held yours so many times in the past.
"I like to think I'm not that cliche." Jughead says quietly. "Thinking about her?"
"I can't stop thinking about her." He replies in a quiet voice, still scared of opening up to anyone; he opened up to you, not them. "Every little thing about her is just... I miss her."
"We all do, man." Jughead tries to comfort him but didn't quite know how to get through the thick cloud that was thoughts of the girl he'd loved and lost.
"I was thinking um... About when I found out." Sweet Pea continues, "I just remember thinking that I didn't even get to say bye, or tell her I loved her. I don't even... Don't even know why she was out of town."
It was silent for a while between them until Jughead let him be alone which he obviously wanted.
Everything just hurt. His head hurt, his stomach hurt, the memories hurt. He wanted to escape from his body and go to some far away land that was just him and the pictures of you he'd put together in his head. He had so many more things to say to you. So many more things he wanted to do with you. So many conversations you'd yet to have. He wanted you to help him with his pain like you'd done with him times before, but could you really help if you were the cause of the gnawing, aching feeling deep within him?
People kept telling him over and over time would be the cure to his hurt, but they couldn't be more undeniably wrong. As each day went on, he longed for you more and more, he kept seeing whispers of you in the hallway, like the memorial in front of your locker filled with cards and flowers from people you didn't really know. There were scattered pictures of you there, your heart-melting smile looking straight at him, and there was pictures of the two of you on your common dates to Pops. He saw you in the newly put up colourful posters pasted to the walls about going to the guidance counselor to "help guide you through your grieving"; He saw you in couples walking down the hallway just the way you used to; And he saw you in your seat next to him in fifth period despite it's emptiness that served as a cold reminder.
Everyone asked him how he was and every time he gave them a one worded answer varying of "good" "okay" "fine" "great". He didn't want to share the memories he had of you that only the two of you knew about, like how the earth around you seemed to stop it's rotation around the sun and instead rotated around you that night when you first said you loved him. You loved him, and of course he knew that, but it was so damn hard to keep remembering that because when he thought of you it wasn't a warm fuzzy feeling anymore, it was pain and sorrow and regret. He loved you, so fucking much it hurt; then again, that hurt was probably longing for the other half of his heart. It was rare for someone to find their person. The One with a capital "O". And that's what you were for him and him for you. With you gone it felt like half of him had just disappeared into a phantom, like he was walking around slowly disappearing into the air around him and no one seemed to realize as the days went on he sunk deeper into this place where his body didn't exist in the present, instead getting stuck in the past following after his mind.
Everyday in his trailer he passed the black velvet box on his table. Sometimes he just sat and stared at it, gently popping it open and turning the ring inside between his fingers. It was a promise ring, something that binded the two of you until you were old enough to get married and carry out the rest of your days together because you'd found the One. He was going to give it to you the day you disappeared, sitting in the truck he'd slide it on to your finger and you'd smile and kiss him saying how much he meant to you and he'd look up to meet your eyes but then this dream world would merge with the real one and you'd be gone; disintegrated into thin air leaving him alone to keep you with him as a mere collection of memories.
Jihara Aina desu (fic 1)
A mission together with Nanami Kento san and Gojo san.
Tumblr media
Aina's pov:
Ok, so here I am completely exhausted after today's rigorous study session. I finished my lectures early so instead of going back to Jujutsu High school I made the not-so-smart decision to study in the college library. Of course, my mobile notifications were on silent.. of course. Today I feel like the queen of bad decisions and what's more, I feel like the god of misfortunes just smiled on me as I open my notif panel to see a text from none other than Gojo Satoru.
"Called you about 7 times. Yes! 7, can you believe it?! But you didn't pick up. You better not be hanging out with anyone today, not that you have any friends apart from me 😆😉. We have a mission together finalyyyyy. You, me, and Nanamiiii 💃💃💃"
 I read the message twice before I decided to believe that it said Nanami. Nanami Kento san would rather lose a limb to a curse than be on a mission together with Gojo Satoru. He cant stand Gojo san's rancid vibes. Can't blame him, hanging out with Gojo san can be emotionally exhausting. Even for me, the demon of emotions. Fuck my life. Today was going to be a ride. And he forgot to mention the mission location.
I scroll a little to find Nanami san's message. Brief and to the point.
"Mission at Misamana Chemical Factory. The abandoned one not the new. See you at 5:30 pm. We will have to go in on our own if you show up late. See you there."
Misamana was a considerable distance from here and it was already 5:27 pm. I will have to take a cab. I hailed the first cab I saw and told the address as I tracked it with my phone GPS. Shit, 17 minutes more.
Tumblr media
5:30 pm ~~~ Misamana Chemical Factory
"She isn't here yet," Nanami Kento said as he tapped his foot on the concrete floor. The factory loomed above him, abandoned. A chemical factory infested with curses could be really bad. They were informed that the mission probably involved multiple grade 1 curses and a special grade cursed object. And that's why he was paired with the special grade sorcerer Jihara Aina. He felt great being on a mission with a reliable colleague. Jihara san was a bright 22-year-old, ready to tackle life head-on. He admired her. After everything, she had been through and didn't let anything deter her.
He looked forward to finishing this mission early and getting home in one piece until Gojo Satoru had jumped in the seat beside him shattering his daydreams.
He had chatted away about how excited he was as Nanami questioned his decision to keep sitting in the car instead of jumping off. What was he doing here?
Well, he got his answer immediately. "Aina chan hasn’t acknowledged the mission yet. So I came. I called her several times but she didn't pick up. Worry not though, we will see her. She will come." And then he had proceeded to munch on the strawberry crepe he had produced out of nowhere. Nanami sighed.
"Obviously she isn't here. She acknowledged the mission 3 minutes ago" Satoru chuckled. " It takes about 15 to 20 minutes from Tokyo institute to here, if she takes a cab that is"
Nanami sighed again. "Well then let's get going", and of course Satoru was more than ready.
 5 48 ~~ Misamana
Aina jumped out of the cab grabbing her shoulder bag. Uhhhh bringing her college stuff to a mission, what was she thinking. A change of clothes would have made sense, but this. She would have to stash it somewhere safe. If looks could kill she would be dead, the way her librarian had stared at her for returning the books late last time. Well, what if they disappeared? What a nightmare, she shuddered. She had already paid the cab off as she watched it take the turn and disappear around the corner. No wonder he had looked at her funny. A young girl wanting to be dropped off at an abandoned factory. She saw no sign of Ijichi's car. And no Satoru and no Nanami. She hated being late herself so she could sympathize with Nanami san.
She dropped her bag near a stack of concrete pipes and noticed how cold it was in this area. She stuck her hands in her hoody. Well fuck, wasn't this her favorite blue hoody? Bye-bye hoody. The fate of her clothes was always sealed when on missions. That's why she had started segregating clothes into - mission, college, and outing. Until missions had started being dropped on her unannounced, like here. A mission notification had been received to her at 5:15 pm, 15 minutes before the goddamn mission. She was sure this was done intentionally by one very annoying ( and infuriatingly handsome) man she knew.
She walked through the loosely hinged double doors as they swung shut behind her. The cursed energy could be felt standing here right at the entrance. She could see footprints on the dusty floor, two pairs. Hushh they were here alright. She would find them.
She walked on calmly checking room to room. An office area. The factory area must be way back. Abandoned computers and stacks of sheets. She didn't touch anything as a thick coat of dust sat on everything. This was her fifth room. Boxes and cartons stacked to the ceiling. This room was huge though. She panned her mobile flashlight scanning everything. She could feel a mass of cursed energy way back at the factory. The production area most probably.
As soon as she turned to make her way out a couple of boxes to her right fell off. She felt a surge of cursed energy and immediately panned the light and was surprised to find a whimpering doggo in the corner.
Aww, it was a wee pup scared and alone. And Aina was nothing if not a dog lover. She made her way carefully toot tooting to the pup. "Come here baby, good boy, here yuppp here"
The pup wouldn't move. But then a blast shook the factory. Dirt rained from the ceiling as Aina rushed forward to grab the pup.
What the fuck was that? She already knew. Gojo Satoru fucking blew something up. She has to get to the mass now as she feels it breaking into smaller masses and spreading in different directions. The curses were dispersing because of the blast. Shit.
She placed the pup gently in her huge hoody pocket as she ran towards the corridor connecting the office to the production area. A huge hallway and just as she saw the door to the production area, she stopped short as the ceiling rumbled and she jumped out of the way as a huge grade 1 curse borrowed through the ceiling and straight down into the floor. And what's more Nanami Kento was dangling from its huge wormlike body, his knife pierced into the curse's side.
"NANAMI SAN!" Aina screamed. And Nanami Kento plucked the weapon out of the curse's body but unable to make a purchase on the concrete floor was going to tumble into the dark void the curse had created in the floor. Aina lunged and caught his tie nearly choking him to death. He caught the concrete and climbed up violently coughing.
"I am really sorry! Shit, are you okay? You look like you been having a tough time" how she managed to speak so much when she was just about to die was beyond him. Well, of course, she could see 10 seconds into the future but still, it gave her only 10 seconds to mentally prepare herself. "Fucking Gojo Satoru" he muttered under his breath. He had gone and blown something up. The thought hadn't even formed in his mind properly as another blast shook the factory.
"What the fuck?! That was too close!" Aina screamed this time. She had to cause she would go deaf if another blast happened. She was at the edge of this dark void and she could very well plummet to her death if the floors keep shaking like that.
None of them had paid attention to the filthy glass double doors at the end of the corridor though. They were fogging up with a nasty green gas and they burst open and Gojo Satoru ran out covering his face with his hand, jumped the dark void and grabbed the two kneeling figures in front of him, and dragged them to their feet.
"Get the fuck up and run the fuck out" he yelled "It's a poisonous gas." Well, that got their attention as it should have. Wide-eyed and breathless they ran for the exit. Satoru threw open the rusty double doors and they finally breathed in the fresh evening air.
All three of them gasped for air as they fell to their knees. Well, there goes this mission in flames Nanami thought as he snatched off his tie trying desperately to breathe. Aina was on her feet. "It's going to leak out," she said, her voice dangerously calm. "The gas. It's going to leak out"
Nanami didn't waste time forming a veil immediately around the factory. None of that gas was escaping into the evening city air. He would call the high school for an emergency immediately. They needed sorcerers who could specifically handle something like this. But first, he thought, let me just kill Gojo Satoru real quick.
Aina was already on it though. "What the fuck were those blasts? You blew something up!" She wasn't calm now. "Well, there was this huge grade 1 curse that rushed at me. So I blasted its head off but one of the chemical cylinders got caught in the blast and boom! But that one was empty so I thought all would be and obviously, they all should be. When the second curse rushed me and another cylinder exploded this green gas leaked out. I knew it was poison cause of the creepy color and then I just saw a special grade 1 slither away in a hole in the wall"
Great, Aina thought as if her day going wasn't bad enough. A special grade 1 after two grade 1 were already exorcised. This was a nest. Yes for sure they had been thrown into a nest of curses with a cursed object involved. She let out a short scream as something squirmed in her hoody. The pup jumped out and hid near a concrete pipe. She decided to let it be.
The mission had failed. A failed mission that too when it involved a grade 1 and not one but two special grade sorcerers AND the second one being Gojo fucking Satoru ( the God of Jujutsu world ) was embarrassing. Maybe the men would escape with a slap on their wrists but she won't. They would demote her this time for sure. Was she just going to sit here while those curses got stronger? She was a special grade dammit. If she couldn't bring this mission to success who could?
She could hear Nanami grabbing his mobile as she spun around to face the boys. "Ok wait Nanami san. Make that call and have them send the team to diffuse the gas but the mission isn't over yet. We have to get the cursed object and exorcise all the curses in this building. So much cursed energy at one place will only attract more curses making this problem a bigger mess."
Nanami listened intently, his finger hovering over the call button as Satoru took a seat on one of the collapsed concrete cylinders.
Aina had their complete attention so now here comes the crazy part where I nearly commit suicide, she thought. "I am going in to complete surveying this building. I can feel a mass of cursed energy in a single spot probably way back inside the factory"
"You aren't going inside. We just ran out because of the gas. No more reckless acts I am calling this mission off." Nanami said firmly as he pressed the call.
"No Nanami sa-"
"...yes send the squad as early as possible" Nanami sighed as he cut the call. He didn't tell them about the mission failure. "Listen," he said calmly " please don't push yourself to these impossible limits, Aina. You are a special grade you have already proved your worth. We all acknowledge you and what's more, you are so young, this isn't going to go become a suicide mission from a failed mission because I would rather have a failed mission than a comrade down." He had put a stop to this crazy conversation. Satoru gave out a long sigh as Aina turned to face the factory. The gas wasn't leaking into open-air yet which meant the factory still had pockets of breathable air which were slowly depleting as she stood here second-guessing herself like always. Nanami was right she would rather have a failed mission too. But the thing about proving her worth, not everybody acknowledged her especially not the elders.
Aina didn't care about the elders. But she cared about what her students saw when they looked at her. What Maki and Nobara saw when they saw Jihara Aina always hold her head high and never buckle no matter what the situation. She knew she could do this. Yes, it was hard but she wasn't a special grade for nothing.
'Nozomi' she spoke to her mind. 'How long?'
A sigh. 'A little over 5 minutes but cut it at 5, you always try to cut it close', Nozomi sighed.
Ok, so 5 minutes. No, a little over 5 so let's take 5 30
Ok ... ok you can do this.
Before any of her partners could react Jihara Aina broke into a run. "Stop!" Nanami yelled. Satoru gave a surprised laugh as he teleported right beside her. This shit always scares her.
"Don't tell me..." he said.
"Yes I am going inside and I can do this I promise. I am going to get to the nest and smoke out the curses so you guys can finish them. Give me 7 minutes (hey! from Nozomi). If I don't get out in 7 minutes... "
Satoru raised an eyebrow at her. Nanami was running towards Aina but Satoru had made his decision as he stood in Nanami’s way to obstruct him.
"Have you two lost it?!" Nanami yelled behind Aina as she was pushing open the rusty double doors.
"Nanami san I promise I will get back in one piece. Believe in me"
"You better," Nanami said. He knew he had fucked up when he had said those things to her. He knew she always tried to outdo herself and it wasn't for anyone else but her students. The little girls looked up to her and saw that everything was achievable if they put their hearts to it. He had to believe in her. Aina wasn't Haibara. Aina was... Aina. If someone could do this she could. Her demon blood provided her a shield from diseases, curses, and poison to some extent.
"She asked for 7 minutes but we both know she is lying," Satoru said calmly. This girl never stopped amusing him. He liked her, he liked her a lot.
"So what do we do now?" Nanami said.
"Wipe up the curses that spill out and then I go in. Cause there's no way I am letting her have her way everytime."
Nanami almost swayed with relief. It was good when someone else did the adulting for him sometimes. He knew he could count on Gojo Satoru.
Inside ~~~
'7 minutes my ass!' Nozomi ranted. 'You get out in 5, do you hear me!'
"Yessss. Now concentrate. As soon as we are inside the nest, switch off the cursed energy. I have to make myself vulnerable so the curses would follow. Okay?"
Phuhh.. the blond boy was right. This is a suicide mission.
Aina could see the green gas pooling at the next door as she ran straight for it. Her timer will begin now. A little over five minutes. She could do this and she will.
The gas hit her like a ton of rotten cabbages. It smelled horrible and she almost felt impossible breathing this in for 5 minutes. This was serious. This could kill her if she fucks up once, even half of once. She ran from the office to the production area passageway and saw the void on the floor. Ok, we jump this. She increased her speed as she took a leap of faith over the void and landed clean on the other end. She couldn't stop. Not now. The clock was ticking.
The glass double doors flung open as she put her weight against them and found herself on a metal walkway right above a dozen or so giant cylinders. Two of them were burst as Satoru had said. One empty and one spilling the gas even now. This factory wasn't abandoned after all. It had been in use recently by a bunch of good for nothing. Even the electricity was working as the chamber was lit up with flickering tube lights.
Halfway across the walkway, she saw a hole in the wall near the tiled floor at the far end of the room. She would have to jump down the walkway. She threw her legs off the walkway landing on a metal cylinder, a ringing echoing through the room and then rolled onto the floor. Not stopping for a second she rushed towards the hole. Towards the massed cursed energy, growing every second.
 Outside the factory ~~~~
Tumblr media
Nanami and Satoru exorcised the curses that spilled out of the factory. All grade 2 or lower. What a waste. The real ones were in there but none of them could enter. Nanami sliced open the curses particularly viciously with his 7:3 technique because all he could think of was that he had let Jihara Aina run towards her apparent death. It had been just over a minute. Aina's massive cursed energy had successfully smoked out the weaker curses. But the stronger ones would stay and fight and all Aina had were a few minutes.
Satoru hovered 30 feet above him taking care of the open windows which would soon be leaking gas nevertheless. He wouldn't take off his concentration from Aina's cursed energy which was still in full swing meaning she hadn't reached the nest yet. He was growing restless.
Aina hesitated at the entrance to the tunnel just for a second as she realized what it really was. It was no fucking tunnel. It was a path burrowed by one of those worm curses but this one was bigger and stronger. A special grade 1. One of these suckers had to have absorbed the cursed object. If by any chance in hell of chances was there a special grade in there, she would have to fight to get out alive. But then Satoru wouldn't have let her go. He could see it all, that creep. But it reassured her, Gojo Satoru had her back.
As she ran through the tunnel, her knees nearly buckling with the cursed energy amassed in such a small space and the tunnel was narrowing. Well shit, there had to be other entrances. Now she was literally on her knees, exhausted and frustrated she was wasting precious time.
'How long?'
'2 30 remaining'
Wtf! half the time had already passed! Aina moved faster and thank the gods the tunnel grew back and she could run. If only had she stopped in time she wouldn't have plummeted 25 feet down crushing a couple of curse wombs. Curse goo crusted her fingers and knees as she tried to get up.
Tumblr media
This was a huge cavern full of multiple holed entrances. The ceiling probably 100+ feet high. She was clearly below the factory. In a hell hole. Hurray!
All entrances lead here to the nest. The ground was covered with green mold coloured eggs the size of footballs. At least 3 dozen of them. The eggs weren't a problem, not yet. They would need a lot more cursed energy to grow. Only, some of them had hatched and were staring down at her, their heads 30+ feet high up in the air swaying menacingly. She could count at least six.
Tumblr media
“Off my cursed energy” she said to Nozomi.
'Aina get the fuck out of here. Something's approaching bigger than these motherfuckers.' The Sight (that allowed her to look 10 seconds into the future, especially clearly when it involved cursed energy). Yes, it was a special grade 1 alright. But not one, there were at least three of them approaching.
She had to get them all. Aina's heart had suddenly started beating too fast as if it was trying to fly out of her chest. She coughed violently spraying blood on her hoody sleeve. She wheezed to breathe.
'Get out, get out right now', Nozomi's words were ringing like bells in her ears. The cavern was huge, she could fight it out. But that would waste too much time she would die off inhaling too much poisonous gas. The walls rumbled. It felt like a freight train was approaching, fast... very fast. Few more seconds Aina thought. She would have to move as fast as she could while her cursed energy being off.
She almost had a heart attack as two massive worm curses spilled into the chamber. Huge and darker and much stronger they snapped at each other's head. As if they had come here to fight for food. But they stopped as they saw Aina in the corner covered with cursed egg goo she looked too much like a scared rabbit fallen in a box full of snakes.
Aina wasn't scared to die. She would if it comes to that. But this mission. She couldn't die here. Nanami would never forgive himself and Satoru, she couldn't think what he would feel. Would Satoru feel bad if I died?
'Stop thinking about that sorcerer!' Nozomi screamed with an ear-piercing screech. 'Get out! Move!'
 Aina could move. She had to. "Here!" She jumped as she shouted to get the curses' attention. "Yes, I am food. Come on, come and get me. I bet I am tasty too!" The worms moved with unbelievable speed for such huge creatures. Aina almost jumped out of her skin as she saw them come. She took the nearest open hole and ran through it as fast as she could. She could hear the curses behind her but they hadn't caught up. Why? Her cursed energy was off. She looked vulnerable. They should follow. If her energy had been on they would hesitate. They would be happy enough to just drive her out of the nest, they would never follow. They weren't following even now. Why....
She knew why as she landed back into the cavern again, looking at the creatures from a different angle this time. She was immediately behind them. She had taken the tunnel that circled back to the cavern. Not the one that leads outside. And where the fuck had she fallen in this hell hole from? No idea. She couldn't even think properly as her vision violently swung. Shit, the poison was taking hold already. How long had it been?
'4 minutes. But it's affecting you faster because your cursed energy is off. You are as human as possible in this state. You don't really have 5 minutes.' Nozomi said calmly. Maybe not calmly but all Aina could hear was a distant voice of Nozomi's as her body threatened to lose consciousness.
She had to choose the right tunnel from these tunnel-ridden walls. One that leads outside into fresh air... into safety. Into Gojo Satoru's arms. She almost giggled at that. Fuck why was she having drunk thoughts? Was her body's coping mechanism failing?
Breathe. Breathe Aina. And think. Concentrate your senses. Even a normal human can find a way out with a breeze of air, noise of water, insects-  her thoughts were cut short as a special grade 1 spun to face her. She sprang into action as she ran straight between the two special grade 1s. Yes, she was right the cavern, though huge was still small for so many huge monsters to freely move around. A grade 1 blocked her path and snapped at her viciously as she jumped around breaking more eggs. That was certainly making them angry.
Another grade 1 charged her. If she didn't have the Sight working she would have lost her right half of the body. She had to take a tunnel. Had to be the right one. It cant be much higher cause the curses probably didn't want to land on their eggs while they fell into the cavern. So it must be near to the ground. Near for her to reach. As she runs across one tunnel to another, a breeze of air softly blew her hair out of her eyes.
Air. Opening. Outside. That tunnel right beside another grade 1. Aina lurched changing directions as fast as she could and was in the tunnel. It was a little bigger than the previous tunnel. She prayed to tunnel gods it didn't narrow down or she was as good as dead. She couldn't fight in tunnels even if she wanted to nor did she have enough time. Her body was already at its limit.
She ran as the worms gave a chase. The floor rumbled as they raced each other to get to her first. Suddenly the tunnel opened into a stalactite cave. Weird.
Tumblr media
Was she moving further down below the factory. Nope, no time to think. Her legs almost buckled below her. Only the adrenaline was kept her going. But for how long. The opposite cave wall had another tunnel. The only exit out of this cave. She ran. As the tunnel progressed it started slopping upwards ever so slightly making it harder to run but she was thankful she was getting near the surface.
Her hopes came crashing down as it ended in another cave that had caved in. It was dark as fuck already but her demon eyes could look around a little even as she swayed and coughed blood all over her soggy blue hoody. A cave-in. No place to run. But there had been a breeze.
'At your right, there's a sewage line tunnel. Move those legs, Aina!' Nozomi screeched. Only she had been screeching for far longer. But Aina's senses were deemed. That was bad, very bad. It was going to hit 5 minutes mark soon.
Aina saw the sewage line just in time as the tunnel almost burst with the worms chasing her down. The smaller ones looked injured as the bigger ones snapped at them to stay out of the way. Aina ran like her life depended on it because it did. To her horror, a grade 1 overtook her to the tunnel and swiftly turned around opening its mouth wide open.
Aina ducked and slipped through under the worm and kept running. She made a swift turn to her left and was overjoyed when she saw a circle of light.
She was almost stretching her hands towards it when she realized that it wasn't outside. It opened into a huge pipe pit where pipe water drained. And she was almost 50 feet above the ground. She couldn't even stop her, momentum kept her going as she approached the ledge.
The pipe rumbled and she saw the creature's teeth catching the moon's light as they rushed towards her, their mouths wide open.
She jumped. Hitting the water almost 50 feet below. Water smacked her back to reality for a little longer. She felt more conscious. She could hear huge splashes behind her as the worms hit the water too. Her clothes completely soaked and her breathing labored, Aina looked around for a drainpipe opening. She saw four of them one at each wall. She rushed towards the nearest one and tried to pull the metal lid open. It wouldn't budge.
Her legs gave in as she coughed out more blood and kept pulling at the bars to somehow force them open. The pit was big enough for the worms to move around her. And in the moonlight, they looked more sinister than ever. Wet and hungry, they spiraled over one another, at least eight of them. Fear had started gripping Aina now making it harder to breathe. She pulled at the rungs as painful moans escaped her throat.
Turn on my cursed energy... turn it on. She thought. 'It's already on, Aina. It has been on past 15 seconds you fell in this hole' Nozomi said.
It's on? But I don't feel ...anything. No power, no inhuman strength... nothing.
'It's your conscious... body is giving up...fresh air', Nozomi's voice reached her like a call with bad reception. Aina kept tugging at the metal bars but the worms had waited enough. A special grade 1 caught her midsection sinking its teeth in her sides and it pulled her away from the lid with such force, it took the lid off with her. She could have seen it coming if she had been in her normal conditions. Her Sight could have saved her.
Aina spat out a mouthful of blood as she felt her cold soggy hoody fill with warmth, the warmth of her blood. The worm rose 20 feet high in the air as it decided to gulp down this morsel of a human being. The pain helped regain her footing as Aina grew her nails into talons and slashed at the creature. It didn't drop her. What's a little pain if your food is dripping its yummy juices right in your mouth...
But it released Aina as it tossed her into the air at least 20 more feet up and spread open its mouth below her waiting for her to fall right into it. A scream rose in Aina's throat as she looked down at her imminent death. She was going to fall right into that teeth pit and become a human-flavored chewing gum. Fear and pain worked excellently to show her the sight below a little too clearly than she would have liked. She was going to die and she was scared, very scared.
But she didn't fall into the worms's mouth as another special grade 1 snapped at the large worm pushing its mouth away from Aina. She fell back into the water. They were fighting over food, over her... oh how romantic.
She wasted no time panicking as she tried to run to the now open drainpipe, the lid lying right in front. Open. Freedom. Finally. She was 10 feet from the opening when she saw the third special grade 1 charging towards her from inside the pipe.
Yes, there had been three. She had counted three. She wasn't careful enough. She had been too stubborn to take this on herself and now she was food. Her death would be blamed on Satoru and Nanami. Satoru might even lose his job as a teacher. Nanami will resign. They would both be miserable. Her two best mates at JJK. And she never even told Gojo san what she felt about him. That he was an annoying bastard but she wouldn't have him any other way. She had wanted to be a part of Nanami's marriage more than anything. But here she was, in a drainage dump, seconds away from death.
 Outside ~~~~
Nanami looked at his watch. It was 5 minutes. She had asked 7 but they won't wait for 7. He won't wait for 7.
"Nanami" Satoru yelled. "All done here, are we?" Gojo Satoru had had enough. No more curses ran out after 3-minute mark. It had been 2 minutes of him waiting so Aina could make it out with the worms at her back. No worms so far and definitely no Aina.
She was very good at her work. He wanted more people like her to be a part of Jujutsu High. But even people like her got in tight situations. And he needed to have their backs.
Would it be too late to help Aina?
Inside ~~~~
The special grade 1 rushed towards her and Aina had frozen like a deer in headlights. Waiting to be run over. And the moment where one’s life flashes before their eyes... she didn’t have it.
The worms head exploded in as a ball of red energy hit it square in the face. The collision blew Aina off her feet and before she would strike the opposite wall she found her fall cushioned.
Well, she hadn't fallen at all. She was looking up at Gojo san's disheveled hair. His blindfold off as he grinned at the worms like a maniac.
And she was in his arms. Nothing would harm her here.
"Satoru", Aina sighed as her eyes almost got moist with tears.
"From Gojo san to Satoru, you must have taken quite a beating" Satoru grinned as Aina felt her cheeks flush. Well, she had taken a beating. Her clothes were torn and blood-soaked and she could barely stand as he had seen from above the pit opening. Satoru never wanted her to go to the factory while the gas leaked. He was sorry he had been reckless. She could have protected herself had she not been partially unconscious because of the gas.
Aina whimpered in pain and he could clearly feel the dentures in her flesh as he carried her as delicately as a glass figurine. She was healing. Her flesh patching up but the pain, the pain would remain till she was completely healed. And this made Satoru angry.
He wasn't losing her to a bunch of worms. Special grade 1 or whatever, he could stomp them with his feet and he would do just that. The worm heads blasted off one after another but none dropped the cursed object. Aina almost wanted to cry of disappointment. How was this possible? They had evolved which meant they had come in contact with the cursed object at some point. Some point today. Some point 10 to15 minutes ago.
"Ok, time to go," Gojo san said and he firmly held her now that her wounds had patched up. He placed back his blindfold as he looked down at her face. The disappointment in those eyes almost pierced his heart. They had completed the mission partially but that wouldn't make Aina happy. And he cared whether it made her happy or not. Cause when she was happy everyone around her was happy, even he.
 Outside~~~
Nanami was starting to lose it as he waited for his mission mates to emerge. Especially Aina. Nothing could kill Satoru. But Aina was just as reckless if not more when it came to her perfect records. She wouldn't have one dark spot on her records, not one failed mission. Why had he let her go? Why hadn't he chased her down and knocked some sense into that coconut head of hers?
Gojo Satoru's feet landed on the concrete floor gracefully. Nanami almost snapped around and breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Aina in Satoru's arms. He let her down and she almost gasped with pain before forcing her mouth shut and breathing heavily. Nanami took her little form in and it broke his heart. Her clothes were torn at her sides like something huge had punctured her and no one could ever tell that hoody was blue. He couldn't either if he hadn't seen it being blue.
Aina gulped in the fresh air as she dropped her weight on the nearby concrete pipes. That's when the cold hit her and she pulled off her wet hoody. Nanami rushed to her side as he gave her his suit jacket cause she would freeze to death in her wet tank top otherwise. "You need a change of clothes. Do you have one?" He inquired.
"No", Aina sighed. She hadn't been expecting to be on a mission today. Her hands were wrinkled and parchment white and shook violently. Today had been too much for her. And for what? A failed mission. She wanted to roll into a ball, a ball of shame.
That's when she noticed the pup hiding beside her in the rubble of concrete whimpering and it almost sounded painful. Aina immediately forgot how miserable she was and she picked up the pup carefully and kept it in her lap. She petted it carefully. She would have continued had a surge of cursed energy not shook her core.
The pup bit her hand viciously, it would have taken a finger off if she hadn't shaken it. "It bit me!" She screeched. Black pus oozing out of the wound.
Both men were already alert. And all three of them stared as the pup, now a partial curse chocked on something trying to swallow it. Aina cursed herself. She had not been very smart today or she could have seen the unusual amount of cursed energy flowing through the 'pup'. She had sensed it and dismissed it as a side effect of being around grade 1 curses for too long.
This pup had swallowed the cursed object.
Nanami reached for his knife.
"I got this" Satoru said with a grin as he blasted the pup off to smithereens. With a yelp, it was gone. And in that mess lay the box.
Of course, it was a special grade cursed object. It was a finger of Sukuna, still neatly packed in the little box. Had it directly touched any curses today they would be fighting against special grades. Satoru made the box levitate over his palm as he playfully chuckled "Nanami, catch!"
Nanami almost grossed out as the filth covered box touched his shirt, wrapped it in his handkerchief and pocketed it carefully. Aina felt a smile tugging at her lips and she gave out an amused laugh. She was sad for the pup but it hadn't suffered much as Satoru ended it’s suffering immediately.
Both men looked at Aina, parchment white and shivering and smiling and they couldn't help but smile and be happy. It was nice hanging around a happy curse of emotions.
They looked up just in time as three black cars made their way to the factory gate. Sorcerers... ones who knew what to do with the poison gas. Aina and Nanami sighed with relief.
"Hello everyone! Leaving this mess off to you guys now. We are out" Satoru announced as he made gave his mission mates a happy pat on the back
"Good job guys. What a nice team we are. We should do this more often"
Synchronized groans from Aina and Nanami.
Aina and Satoru made their way to the car after Aina grabbed her book bag. Nanami stayed a second longer to pull off his veil after the other sorcerer's had set theirs.
"Okay! Congratulations on the successful completion of your mission and as your senpai, I am going to treat you both to some tasty food. What will you have Aina, Nanami?"
Aina wanted a bath before she touched anything she could eat and Nanami wanted a giant-sized glass of beer.
But at least someone was as happy as ever. What a menace Gojo Satoru was but Aina wouldn't have him any other way :)
