Anon asked: I don’t know if this is too personal or not, but if you feel comfortable sharing, what prompted you to make a return after not posting at all for about 3 years?
A: That's okay, I don't mind you asking. To be honest, I just suffered from art block for a very long time. I couldn't get myself to draw no matter how hard I tried. I would sit myself down and try to force myself to do it, but I just couldn't. I don't know why it went away and I don't know why it came back, but suddenly my spark came back with a vengeance! I'm back to wanting to draw all the time! I think that's both the wonderful and awful thing about creativity: you can't force it. It sucks, but hopefully I can serve as proof to others who are going through it that you can spring back from it.

A: Yes I LOVE Coraline! I never read the book but I love the movie. It fills my spooky little heart and soul!

A: I want to say Nightmare Before Christmas, but to be completely honest it's probably Mars Attacks! It's so campy and funny and it has that retro horror sci-fi film feel to it, and the cast rocks. It checks all the boxes for me. I even have a Mars Attacks! print hung up at my office at work:

A: I went through a severe art block and hadn't drawn anything for a long time, even though I had the whole script for it written out. However since getting my mojo back, I've completely re-written the story and am working on it again. A: I did have a Patreon once upon a time, but it gave me severe imposter syndrome lol It put too much pressure on me to put out content that I thought was worthy enough for people to be paying for, so I ultimately closed it down. It doesn't mean I won't ever open it up again, but I don't have any immediate plans to do that. Also regarding the spice haha 😅 I appreciate your interest, but I just don't like to share that kind of content.

A: I don't watch much anime anymore, but I used to be obsessed with Naruto. That's primarily what I would draw back in my dA days, but I lost interest in it a long time ago. I also loved Fruits Basket, Kill La Kill, One Punch Man and Attack on Titan. There are other shows I've watched, but those were the major series. I haven't seen the series you mentioned, sorry!

A: So far my favorite game-movie adaptation is the Super Mario Bros movie! I love it so much! I love that they kept the style of the game but made it a little more polished than what you'd get in the games. I loved the characters, I loved all the references within it, I loved the music. I just think it's a perfect adaptation. Of course I'm super excited for Sonic 3! I'm sure it's going to be great, I'm just praying that Amy will be in it! I need her in it :( I'd love to see a movie adaptation of Dead Space. That's one of my favorite games and ooh I think it'd make such a good horror film. I know they made animated movies for it, but I want it done in a proper hollywood horror way!

MISC SONIC ASKS
Anon asked: I was wondering what your favourite brotherly head cannon would be between Sonic and Tails? :3
A: Even though Sonic's older and technically raised Tails, I love the idea of them sort of "raising each other." Sonic teaches Tails how to defend himself, how to navigate the world, how to do the right thing, but Tails is the one who teaches Sonic how to read and write, introduces him to philosophical discussions that Sonic finds really boring but actually helps him to be a better hero and be a better version of himself. I even like the idea of Tails being the one to teach Sonic how to play music. Sonic has a natural talent for it, but Tails is the one to teach him notes and chords, how to actually read sheet music, things like that.
umbrathehedgehog asked: Hey, I noticed that one piece about Sonic Prime. It's very nice! What did you like or not like about the show? Been seeing a lot of differing opinions on it and I'm really curious about what you thought!
A: Thanks so much! As a whole I'd say it was okay. It certainly wasn't the best Sonic media out there in my opinion but no way was it the worst. I understand it's a kid's show, but it was way too formulaic for me. It got to the point where I could pretty much bet "in 2 minutes Character A is going to seem like all is lost, then a loud explosion/sudden shake will happen, and they'll look up like 'whuAHHH???' and Character B will show up to help." That's fine, but not when it's happening multiple times every single episode.
So to be honest, it wasn't a show that I looked forward to watching like I did with Sonic Boom. It was just something I had on because it was Sonic-related.
But Sonic Prime had a lot of good character writing and the acting was great. They explored character relationships/dynamics and emotions that some other Sonic content hasn't done before, so I applaud them for that. It's mirroring what happened in Sonic Frontiers and I love that the franchise is willing to dig a little deeper on an emotional level like that. And I've said it before but I'll say it a million times more: Shadow was PERFECT! The positive of having Shadow portrayed so excellently far outweighed any negatives I could say for the show!

A: Well we didn't get to see very much of her, but I loved her design! She was very majestic and beautiful and kind. None of the characters or storyline from the live action movies are part of my AU.

Anon asked: So when’s did aurora learn that she could turn invisible? And did she use it to pull a prank on her parents making them think she disappeared
A: Aurora discovers her light abilities when she's young (think about preteen age), but she doesn't fully know what all she can do yet. It takes a lot of experimenting and studying with Uncle Tails to figure out everything she can do. He is the one who tells her that if she can bend light, she should be able to use it to cloak herself. Tails and Sonic obviously mean she should use it as a defensive move, but Aurora instantly thinks it's the perfect power for pranks! Picture a lot of objects "floating" around the house with a lot of phony "OooooOOoooOOOO" ghost noises haha

A: Aurora can enjoy super hero related stuff, but she's not an avid fan of it and I would say she does not read comics. Aurora is more into fantasy/romance books. Ruff is the one who is into comic books :) His favorite would be Batman.
Anon asked: I love your idea of Aurora and Sage being close friends, I really think that fits! That being said, do you think Sage and CC would get along?

A: Thank you! I've been thinking about it and I like the idea of Sage and CC being rivals, but in a very cheeky, friendly way. Sort of like Sonic and Knuckles. Sage and CC would make everything into a competition to see who can solve this problem fastest or who can simulate something best, to determine who is truly the more intelligent of the two AIs. But again, not in a toxic way. In a "I have to be the best version of myself in order to beat you because the respect I have for you is insanely high" kind of way. And Sage could playfully tease CC for wanting to become organic because it'd be a "step backwards" in her evolution, but really she'd work to find a way to help make CC's dream come true.

A: Orange is in the same color family as red and pink, so I think it still works. As far as color theory, in my AU Aurora has a grandma who is yellow and Shadow's fur includes red, so by blending those colors you can get orange. It's the same reason why Nova is purple, it's a blend of colors from their lineage. I tried Cinder out in several different colors but orange is ultimately what fit him best.

A: They're more like best friends than sisters/cousins. I know people draw Sage growing older and stuff but I personally headcanon that she'd stay in the form of a child because she feels no need to grow up. But once she's friends with Aurora, then I could see her "aging" up alongside Aurora so that she always matches her friend. It's just a headcanon of mine for now and that could ultimately change in the future.
Anon asked: Has Aurora ever been to space before if so what were her thoughts. Was she like markiplier with the whole space is so cool song.
A: Aurora DESPERATELY wants to go to space more than anything! But for most of her life she hardly ever left her home. It isn't until she's grown up that she actually starts to properly explore the world. Eventually I want her to go to space, but it would be once she's living on her own.

A: You are just so sweet, thank you! You know I'm very pro tats and I love seeing what people think the different Sonic characters would get. For my AU, I only have two (technically three) characters depicted with tattoos. Amy's dad Clay Rose has two tattoos on his bicep: A heart with his wife's name in it, and then a matching little heart with Amy's name in it. Adult Knuckles has a simple "M.E." tattooed on his bicep. It's a reference to Knuckles' theme and also his dedication to the Master Emerald. Lastly, I have the human version of Cinder (but only the human version) with forearm sleeves that continue down his hands. So far those are the only characters I have with tattoos.
As far as piercings, most of my characters have ear piercings but they don't often wear earrings. Blitz and Lulu are the only characters who always wears earrings. I could see Shadow getting at least an ear pierced, but I headcanon that with his rapid healing that it would almost instantly close if he didn't actively wear a piercing at the time.
Anon asked: I totally hope that Piper will have a girlfriend! Do you see her more with a girl or a boy?
A: I currently see PIper as demiromantic. She is currently not interested in anyone romantically or physically, and I don't want to diminish that part of her identity by saying 'Oh but she'll eventually end up with __." Of course, a headcanon is whatever you want so if you personally ship her with a woman that's cool with me!
Anon asked: Hey evay, i was looking at this old info of Amy, and It says that she wans't always at home, did Aurora had any issue with that? Did some part of her childhood she could say that she had mother issues? (Sorry if you can't understand, my english it's terrible 💀)
A: Your English is excellent! I wouldn't go so far as to say Aurora had mother issues. Amy wasn't completely absent from Aurora's youth, she was just working a lot so she wasn't constantly at home the way Sonic was. It would have made things a little awkward/emotional at times because that naturally made Aurora favor Sonic a little more when she was younger, but that also made the times she did have with Amy all the more special. Aurora never thought to herself "My mom has abandoned me because she's never home," it was more of a "Work is stupid and being grown up is stupid because it means Mom can't stay home and play with me all day." Aurora and Amy grow a lot closer as Aurora gets older and better understands the meaning of responsibilities and commitment.

A: Wow, that's so kind of you to say! Thank you so much! I hope you do make ref sheets for your characters :) I haven't planned anything with Silver for my AU yet. To be honest, I don't know his character very well and I try my best to always keep the original characters in-character, so that's why I haven't done anything with him yet. But I recently purchased the volumes of IDW comics and I'm hoping to understand him better and then I will be more confident writing him! Secondly, none of the Shadora horde are immortal. They have stronger immune systems so they can heal faster and are less likely to get sick than the average Mobian, but they are still mortal and still age at a normal rate. Thank you for the questions and compliments!

A: Thank you so much! I need to make a comic about it. When they were young they were all exploring the different zones and Cinder was really struggling with some of the obstacles so he was already getting quite aggravated. Diamond noticed this and offered to help because some problems are better solved as a team, and Cinder immediately gets pissed and tells her to buzz off. She gets upset that he snaps at her, and there's some escalation between the two and finally Cinder blows up at her (literally). He immediately regrets it as he did not mean to hurt her, but the damage is already done.

A: Hmm. Well, even though Metal Sonic is based on Sonic, I love stories that involve him having an identity crisis and ultimately deciding that he's not just going to be a clone. He's his own entity, right? They're alike, but they're not the same. I don't know where he'd be on that self journey by the time he meets CC, but she'd definitely see him as his own person, not as a Sonic copy. But likely he'd still be an antagonist, so they'd end up having to battle lol

A: They definitely exist in my AU, but I haven't completely decided what their roles are yet. I can see Vector becoming Cream's stepdad (I'm not passionate about the VanillaXVector ship but I know it's practically canon), and then that leads me down a rabbit hole (pun intended) of how does that affect the dynamics of Team Chaotix? I have some rough ideas but I need to spend more time on it.

A: ¡Gracias! The character you're referring to was an OC made by my friend Nana, a Sonamy fankid named Spazz. I sometimes drew him interacting with Aurora because my friend Nana and I just liked to draw our characters interacting, but Spazz is not a part of my AU. Nana is no longer on tumblr so that's why there aren't any Spazz art/comics anymore.

A: Infertility is a very real issue that many people (including those very close in my life) deal with. Although I do think it's very important for people to be able to see their experiences reflected in the media they consume to help them remember that they aren't alone in their experience, this is not something I wanted Sonic and Amy to have to deal with for Boom!Baby. The chapter where Sonic references making multiple attempts during a certain window of time was not meant to imply that they were struggling with infertility. It was instead supposed to show that now that they've both decided they want a child, Amy doesn't want to take any chances to make sure it happens lol. TMI - Even without fertility issues, getting pregnant is not always guaranteed so it can take a lot of planning and timing (and frankly, luck) to be successful. Super TMI - I headcanon that Sonic and Amy are already intimate A LOT so now that they're trying for a baby it's above and beyond and that's why Sonic is tired in that chapter lol

I know this is kind of random, but it's like Harry is the hero, and Ginny was always in love with him, but their relationship slowly developed throughout the books, especially the 6th book. And that's how Sonic and Amy have been throughout the years
A: Hello! I have seen the movies and I read some of the books, but I don't know the series all that well. Actually, I don't remember Ginny being in the movies much at all, so I was a little confused when she and Harry ended up together. Maybe there was more to it in the books that I just never read. So if I'm going solely based on the movies I've seen, I can't say that I see the correlation. But that's not to say you're wrong in thinking that :)

A: Thank you so much! I hope you're doing well too :) UGH!!! 😩💙💖💙💖💙💖 We have been fed SO WELL lately! I can't believe it, what a time to be alive! I'm still sure they won't ever make it canon, but I love the sweet little snippets we get and just how much Sonic and Amy's relationship has evolved over the years to be so much closer. And I giggle like a little maniac every time they're on screen together or they're side by side in marketing. It makes my heart SING!

A: That's not embarrassing, that's crazy kind of you to say! Thank you! Yes I do still adore those ships and need to draw them more. It just seems every time I go to draw something my hand gets possessed by the ✨spirit of sonamy✨😂 I promise I'll draw the others at some point!

Cause Metal Sonic and Amy is a ship that kinda baffles me. Like most Amy ships have some appeal. Sonic is obvious, you’re Ms. Sonamy after all. But Shads, Silver, Blaze, and even Surge have fun dynamics, and Metal doesn’t really strike me as a character that is able to be shipped effectively… Thoughts?
A: There definitely are ships that I don't understand. But if I don't understand or don't like a ship (or fan theories, or whatever), I'd rather just not talk about them. I used to indulge in that style of arguing discussion when I was a kid but I don't do that kind of stuff anymore. If I don't get something I just say "That's not for me" and move along.
I do support the MetAmy ship myself but it's not at the top of my ship list (lol). I like it because Metal Sonic is based on Sonic, and if they're meant to be similar and I believe that Sonic does care about Amy, then that logic would tell me that Metal cares about Amy, too. And even though Metal is a villain, Amy does care about his well being (just like she cares about everyone's well being). Metal Sonic is also one of the main reasons Amy and Sonic met in the first place, so I think she holds a special place in her heart for him, even if it's not 100% romantic. That's my reasoning, but I don't want or expect you to change your opinion.

A: I don't really do exact ages, but Sonic and Amy have Aurora roughly when they're in their mid-to-late 20s. So they would be in their mid-to-late 40s when Aurora and Shadow first meet.

A: Hmm, I think my fav Shadora art is the comic where Shadow and Aurora discuss her "wings" (back quills). It started out as just a fluffy piece but I think it really set the tone for their relationship in my stories. As far as a double date -- I could see them trying a double date early on when Shadow first states his intention to date Aurora, but it doesn't go well. Years later when Sonic is more accepting of their relationship I could see them occasionally going out for lunch/dinner together instead of just their weekly family dinners at home.

A: CC doesn't need to rest, but Tails is so soft that she just loves to lay against him so she'd definitely use him for a lap pillow more. BONUS POINTS for using his tails as a shawl around her shoulders! Shadow is more likely to rest his head in Aurora's lap. The way she strokes his quills is very soothing and makes him feel content. She also has thick thighs so very, very comfy for lap pillows!

Was reminded today of Rosatrice. I am actually one of the people who went and watched all nine hours of the theory so that no one else has to, so I might as well share my thoughts.
A lot of the focus of Rosatrice is more in the idea of "someone tried so hard to disprove ShKanon with Rosa = Beatrice that they spent 9 hours on it", focusing on the humor of that and of the implications (for example, Rosa and Battler being romantically involved somehow, or of Rosa hiding under the bed waiting to kill Eva in Episode 1). But having watched the theory, I have a slightly different impression of it.
For example, the theory creator claims that Beatrice and Battler aren't actually romantically involved (despite the... canonical EP6 marriage) and instead have a platonic love (which makes sense for the theorist, given that Rosa is Battler's aunt). Rosa's focus on Battler is because he is an outsider to the family who has returned after six years, and, if I remember correctly, she takes part of Shannon's relationship with him (the promise to return) into her own Yasu mythos (in this theory, Yasu is a persona Rosa creates as part of her guilt about the death of Kuwadorian Beatrice). Yasu and Shannon are related in that Rosa takes from Shannon's relationship with Battler and life experiences to create Yasu.
However, more than the humorous and illogical aspects of Rosatrice, more than even the "fake death drugs" that the theorist purports the culprit's usage of, I was really struck by the theorist's perspective on Umineko and on the fans that believe in ShKanon theory. The theorist calls ShKanon theory stupid, simple, and obvious, and I believe at times directly calls people who believe in it similarly insulting epithets. He genuinely believes and claims that Umineko is far more complex than ShKanon (which he claims is simple and anyone would understand ShKanon after Episode 7, which I know from anecdotal evidence is not the case) and that he is one of the few, if any, people who have truly understood Umineko, going past even Ryukishi's Word of God "lies" about it (yes, he claims Ryukishi lies in interviews to preserve the secret hidden truth). He also claims that the anime holds secret clues about Rosatrice, believing that Ryukishi had a very high level of directorial control over the anime to the point he was using it to give us extra clues about the secret, hidden truth.
But, more than even that, more even than elements like the belief that Ange's entire timeline is not the truth and that the true timeline is Episode 2, wherein Battler dies and in his delirium hallucinates the remaining episodes, I associate Rosatrice with the bigotry of its creator. I associate it with descriptions of Shannon as a "weak little girl", the use of the r-slur, and with the misgendering of Lion/Sayo as "he/him". I associate it with the elitist mindset that his interpretation of Umineko is better and more valid than anyone else's.
I do believe that the Rosatrice creator has a lot of love for Umineko - but I believe that their own bigotry and narrow-minded perspective weakens and destroys their credibility. Theorizing about Umineko in older spaces, from what I gather, was more of a community activity than a competition. It's probably a good thing that people primarily remember the humorous aspects of Rosatrice theory, and how out-there it seems, but I do wish that people would bring up the toxicity of its creator more, at least in passing. If we forget, we may be doomed to have another nine hour theory filled with the r-slurs, misogyny, and insults towards the community appear.

🗨️Answer: I don’t know how difficult it is in a general sense, but it’s definitely more difficult than people think) There are many nuances here that will morally destroy an unprepared person. We must remember that any success has a second side to the coin. But if your nerves are strong, you can... get used to a lot of things.

This means that the person correctly put together the pieces of the complete picture that I scattered throughout the plot, and I really like this. 🗨️Answer: Sometimes it’s tiring, but it’s okay, it’s difficult for me to always be at the peak of social activity. Then I simply reduce the time I spend on social networks and crawl back into my introvert hole, where I mostly work and communicate little. I gain moral strength and something else, and return later.

❔Question: How are names for heroes chosen?
🗨️Answer: Through a search and a list of names related to the country I need + melody, so that I myself like it and suit the hero. If the plot requires it, then I also select it by meaning. Most often I can’t name the heroine precisely because her name plays a plot role.

🗨️Answer: No, the main characters are more likely to have a drop of my character traits than others, so you can feel them better. But at the same time, each hero has his own unique character, background, etc.
If we talk about friends or acquaintances, then I can take someone’s experience as a reference. For example, the situation with Eva's childhood. This happened to someone close to me, with whom I empathize on all levels, and with her permission, I transformed her feelings and my artistic vision of the situation into this plot point. And it hurts me every time I write or think about this, but I also understand that such things are worth writing about, even necessary.

🗨️Answer: I don’t think it’s possible to change the ending in any way. KCD ended exactly as I had planned in the early stages of developing the story, it will be the same with Nile, and with the prequel too.

Does this mean that there is a balance and it is possible to save up for all elections according to different stats? 🗨️Answer: I think I have neither positive nor negative heroes, it's too boring. Even Livius himself has one or two not the best character traits, and this is normal. ❔Question: What gave you the idea of using time skipping in KFS? Do you think this was a good move? Will this happen in other stories?
🗨️Answer: I don’t see anything terrible about the timeskip; it was necessary for Kali. Firstly, because of working with a large period of time (but in general, I noticed that in all my stories I work with several points in the timeline, the present and the past, to which we return), secondly, because the heroines of the first plan were too young, I wanted to show how carefree youth slipped through their fingers, forcing them to change, become smarter and more responsible in order to enter the game.
And girls now play dice not for wishes, but for human lives.
❔Question: Will the fate of Radha be revealed in the KFS, the future formation of Indira as the head of the Basu clan? Judging by the family tree, the eldest of the twins, besides Indira, did not have any more children, nor did she have a union with any other man except Radha.
🗨️Answer: Indira’s emergence as an heiress is too far from the events described, but Radha’s fate will be known to us.
❔Question: Are there plans for hidden endings in KFS and SCN? (Such as in KCD, where independent Amala mercilessly kills Amrit even in a branch with him)
🗨️Answer: I don’t know yet. Initially, those endings were just endings, I designated them hidden when I realized that to reach them you need not just stats, but a combination of choices. This is possible in both Nile and the prequel.

❔Question: One point is interesting. I began to notice that in all three stories the theme of connection, purpose, and truth runs through all three stories. I really like this theme in general, and especially how it manifests itself in your short stories. I wonder how this happens? Do you intentionally put such meaning into stories and relationships with your favorites, or does it come out naturally, intuitively?
🗨️Answer: I wouldn’t say that this is on purpose, because I myself really like this trope, and I’m not the only one. But still, I understand that there are certain similarities in all three stories. However:
Amrit's fiancée, Amala, is precisely his destiny, like fate, to be his ideal partner. Set treats Eva less poetically, she paid off the debt, and she is not the only one with him. But the romantic component of this connection will also be revealed. With Ram, everything is completely different, but I can’t give you the details ahead of time, you’ll find out for yourself.
❔Question: It became interesting, will there be any explanations or hints given as to what kind of traps await Evthys from Amen and how she can avoid them?
🗨️Answer: Amen's traps are the least of Eva's problems. I think you've already noticed that the plot is moving away from the hunt, and something worse is looming on the horizon.
According to my plans, we were introduced to hunting in the first season, and then we begin another plot block. It was fun to read the guesses about the endings involving capture and hunting. I thought: "Eh, guys... hunting is just the beginning."
❔Question: Choosing for diamonds with Ash (Set) in the latest update greatly affects romantic relationships? Is it possible to take this choice simply for the sake of his protection and patronage, leading a branch with another favorite?
🗨️Answer: All elections with Set are romance. You can improve your relationship with him in order to gain his favor, but up to a certain point. You will understand which one.
❔Question: Which story is easier for you to write? KFS or SCN?
Did you encounter any difficulties while creating the plot?
🗨️Answer: Both stories feel very different, sometimes there are difficulties with one, sometimes with the other. But in any case, I find an outlet in both short stories. They are fun to write.

First impressions on every contestant!
Warning this gets long.
Millie
Was really interested on the possibility of a nerdy character from her introduction, but I feel like my biggest gripe with her is the whole “my generation” thing, it just feels slightly mean spirited and not realistic for a personality trait. Teens generally don’t like being told that their generation sucks or that they’re all dumb or have their use of technology criticized. The ones that do dislike their generation are those either trying to receive approval from older people or “I was born in the wrong generation” type kids. She’s just, unrelatable.
Axel
Her voice is higher than I expected, I like the survival theme and was surprised we got another zombie conspiracy nut in the cast (so happy we got a Shawn cameo/reference as well!) she really is like a mix of Jo and Eva with a sprinkle of Shawn and I wish we got to see more of her!
Priya
Super interesting to see a contestant raised by TD fans, and her intro was amazing! Baby and toddler Priya! Owen reference! She is 100% going to be an interesting character. I guess there’s also a subversion of a big Desi stereotype with her, she wants to go to med school but her parents want her to enter a more unconventional and unstable field, I don’t know exactly how to feel about this, specially since I’m not desi myself.

My man!!! I love me a skater/surfer dude and the Jude vibes are impeccable!! He is so chill and just here to vibe. I’ve audibly laughed at multiple of his lines and just love him so much. I also think he’s neat amputee rep, he’s casual about it and was just born that way, but can make fun stories up about it.
Ripper
Am I disappointed by the fart and potty jokes? Yes, but besides that I actually really like his character! An annoying bully who despite his best efforts is a loser. Also if his voice doesn’t fuel the nowen child headcanons out there I don’t know what will.

A total newbie! Very opposite to Priya in this case and also super interesting character trait for him, I hope both him and Priya can function a bit to show off the POV of both old and new fans alike. He’s also very entertaining :)

Exactly what I expected from her and more! She is very much one dimensional compared to most the rest but I love her! I love wildcards! So excited to see her shenanigans

Introducing yourself as the first openly gay contestant is definitely a first impression! I’ve got to say I adore his competitive and scheming nature and you can tell he’s in it to win it, he also has amazing social skills and is overall an icon. I know not everyone will be into the idea of the first openly queer contestant being very stereotypical but I’ve always thought that just as while his sexuality isn’t the center of his personality and there’s at least another queer character that isn’t as stereotypical it’s all good, and by the looks of it that will be the case. Also I know multiple gay dudes that act just as him so I have a bias.
Chase
Did not expect a stunt Youtuber type guy but I definitely should’ve seen it coming, also DRAMA?? Pre established EXES??? I am so interested in seeing how this pans out

I love her voice first of all and I did not expect her to have been part of the stunt Youtuber group, hope the ex drama isn’t all there is to her character and I really enjoy her friendship with Bowie so far!

Hindi ako magsasabi ng happy first of December kase di happy ang first of December ng madaming tao ngayon.
Break na ba lahat? Heartbroken na ba ulit lahat?
Tangina ng KathNiel. 11 years. Hayop. Ang sakit sa puso. Hindi ako solid KathNiel fan. But I admired Kathryn even before ma-team up siya kay DJ. I watched Mara Clara and her movies with Julia Montes. I remember me and my family went to the mall and may mall show pala si Kathryn Bernardo, that was the first time I saw her in person. Napakagandang bata. You know I spent my teenage years and growing up watching Kathryn also grew up and spent her teenage years in the limelight. It was such a blow you know, I knew it even before they announced it on IG pero iba pa din talaga. Ewan ko ba. Hahahahaha. Siguro kase it hits a little too close to home. My highschool bestfriend (the one na lagi kong kasama mag travel. Yes. Barbie. My bestfriend since we were 14) recently broke up with her highschool sweetheart last October. And 11 years din sila. I had a fair share of my heart being broken and it was so hard moving on sa 2 year relationship, paano pa kaya 11 years? It is so hard seeing my bestfriend cry and second guess herself now and the best I can offer is me being with her through the journey of being broken, moving on, and healing. So really, I can't imagine now what they are going through especially they were the biggest love team in the industry. And I can't put my shoes in their shoes, but it's just so heartbreaking.
To my best friend. I was with her when she and her ex boyfriend started their love story when we were in highschool. I was with her when she texted me that he's breaking up with her. I was with her the moment she asked me to come because they just broke up. And I will always be with here through the painful journey of acceptance, moving on, and healing. I love you barbieeeee! Kaya natin to!
Anyway, sorry. But here's me nagpapa-cute. Because I am in my late 20s and I miss random selfies in my phone. And ang heavy ng feelings kanina pa. Context/Summary
Eva and Jim are nineteen and students at Cambridge in 1958 when their paths first cross. Jim is walking along a lane when a woman approaching him on a bicycle swerves to avoid a dog. What happens next will determine the rest of their lives. We follow three different versions of their future – together, and apart – as their love story takes on different incarnations, twisting and turning to the conclusion in the present day.
It's all of the what ifs and what might have been. All the "in an alternate universes" that left us wondering. And this book is giving me a kind of closure right now in my own kind of way, of the things that could have happened when I chose or didn't choose a different path. And I guess even if I think about it long and hard enough, I will never know. I think I wrote something before along the lines of "I crave for something/someone I've lost. Something/someone I could not have. I miss my old self or my unlived life. It's such a mystery to me." And this life is so profound, that you want to toy with the idea of something out there, that there is a different versions of us living the life we wanted or living the life we ought to have, different from the life we are having now. Somehow you wish that the different versions of you have those genuine happiness that seems so hard to find.

Ok it’s been about 2 weeks since the new cast names have gotten revealed and like 3 since we’ve first seen them, I’ve had time to fully process the new designs I think I can give in depth thoughts now.
First these guys!
Priya - um I don’t have much to say about her, she gives off super preppy but very nice, giving Courtney I think. I like her she seems nice
Millie - Yeah she’s just giving nice and polite and mom friend, but she’s absolutely one of my favorites I think idk she’s just nice.
Ripper - Okay he had to grow on me a lot but I love him now! I think the Nowen headcanons/art converted me on him and I don’t even ship lmao. But yeah he’s a bitch I’m calling it now. Maybe not main antagonist worthy but like he’s evil. But also lovely and a joy to have around. Also he’d probably be a challenge beast I think. Idk he’s just vibes I guess.
Damien - Honestly if anyone’s trans it’s him. Definitely. He just exudes transmasc. This entire row is very gender but like out of this whole cast it’s probably him. Also, he’s SO COOL I am in love with his design he also just exudes good vibes I love him. I think he should win I want him to win or at least make top 3.
Axel - YES. She is going to be a favorite I hope another one of the coolest people here. Love characters who could beat my ass. Personality wise I’m think she’s like Brick Courtney and Eva with slight Jo and Duncan idk she just gives all of them. She will slay I can sense it.
Chase - Normal (derogatory) idk he’s just there. But he seems nice ig.
Zee - they’re so non-binary. Anyways they’re very funky and sweet and so shapes and they give major sweetheart goofball I love them. they just enjoy.
Scary Girl - I don’t know why she doesn’t have an actual name especially when all the fan names are so amazing, I personally prefer Charley or Hayley (I don’t remember who came up with those but you’re the best). Um design wise she’s kind of the actual best I think like it’s just so vibes. Personality wise I literally don’t know actually and I think I like that. That just means she could be anything I love a good wildcard. Yeah she’s another fave.

Caleb - He’s giving Ryan I think but like take out everything that made me like him. I don’t know he’s just so.. boring. I think I’d boot him first he’s just frustrating and I don’t trust him at all.
Nichelle - Ok I’m gonna be honest when the names got revealed I did not care for her AT ALL I thought she was just so basic. But like I’m here now hi sorry I’m late. She’s so girl, girla, girlie, girlie pop, bestie. Her designs also grown on me as well, i love the beads and the yoga pants. She just seems so chill and normal (affectionate). But ALSO I’m kinda getting scared she might be first boot here’s why. Ok so we all know she and Caleb weren’t in that like team huddle thing but like. Has anyone else noticed she hasn’t been in any of the promo screenshots in the flyer. That’s so weird to me. I hope I’m going insane especially since she’s the only one facing right (although that could be another clue). But um anyways yeah she’s great. She’s just so slay. I love her.
Julia - This girl is gay. Anyways she also had to grow on me cuz she was so basic but like I’m also here for her now. You are all right she’s absolutely a stoner. Also like I kinda get an athlete vibe from her? Like she’s a twig but like if it got revealed she does or did track or something I wouldn’t be surprised. She’s great I think.
Bowie - I’m sorry I love a good twink. Idk what’s going on with the color scheme/design but like it’s very funky it suits him. The necklace and bracelets are cool, he’s cool, I like him a lot hoping he goes far.
Wayne - I’m not gonna lie, I think he’s one of my favorites now. Another case where the art converted me but like he’s just adorable. But also idk if this is my mha obsessed brain talking but YALL. HES LITERALLY OJIRO, HEAR ME OUT HERE They are both: Blonde, both do sports, probably both polite himbos, he gives off nervous vibes just like Ojiro, both (somewhat) big guys, AND THEY HAVE VERY SIMILAR, IF NOT THE SAME FUCKING COLOR SCHEME. I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS. AM I DELUSIONAL PROBABLY BUT I DO NOT THINK SO. I get he’s probably supposed to be a Wayne Gretzky parody but like come on. I see the vision. Anyways tangent over I love him he just seems so sweet. Also he’s so gay you guys. He’s great. I love him.
Raj - um I don’t have much to say but he also seems very sweet and adorable. I also think out of him and Wayne he’d be the more chill and reasonable one. I’m rooting for him.
Emma - ok she used to be my first boot but I don’t hate her anymore. Wow holy shit y’all’s art converted me on 5 people props to the total drama fandom y’all did great. Um I don’t really know what to say about her but like I hope everyone who’s predicting she’s a sweetie pie is right. Um well see about her I’m interested now.
MK - ICON! I love them so much and I also think they are enby. They are also a super sweet silly goofball I think. Literally I want them to win so bad they are my absolute favorite. But seriously why are they yellow. If they’re supposed to be Asian then surely Fresh should know it’s a problem. Especially considering they didn’t do it with Heather when TDI first came out. So bad. But anyways yes they are amazing literally my favorite they need to win.
so uh yeah. I definitely like them all a lot more than I did when the designs first got revealed. I think my absolute favorites are MK, Damien, Axel, Wayne, Nichelle, Julia, Ripper, Zee, Wayne, and Millie. Although I don’t get why these were their names when I’ve seen so many better ones (I’ve seen Tristan and Hayden for Ripper and Wayne respectively and like yeah I like those a hell of a lot better.) But um yeah I’m excited for the season I don’t think it’ll be a dumpster fire, especially considering Ridonculous was good. I’m excited.

In a distant star system, a generation ship came and dispersed suprahumanity to ten colonies on the moons and planets. It is a world where the human body has transformed into a thousand novel forms, but such wonders are a distant memory.
On a certain planet, which for now we shall call Heymish, suprahumanity have survived the painful centuries since the dispersal, and at last they can say they have regained the technology of spaceflight. But much like their predecessors on Earth, the power to reach the heavens is a merely residue of far uglier terrestrial designs. The Republic of Greater Silene is one of two great federations of nations, squabbling for power in this new Cold War. (We'll learn about the other later!) Neither side dares risk open warfare, but millions of lives are still lost in proxy wars for the as yet unaligned nations.
In this context, the Temerity is launched. It is, officially, a diplomatic mission speaking for all Heymish people; a mission of sisterhood in a state of the art spacecraft bringing together the expertise of both nations.
In practice, it is seen as a partisan, nationalist project dominated by Silene interests. Even for many Silene, who have yet to enjoy the prosperity promised by the revolution, it is a white elephant. Very few people truly expect to find the other colonies inhabited, and many fear the Cold War will spread to space.
Yet all the same, there is a certain romantic ideal behind it...
Some specific notes:
The Republic of Greater Silene has a system of internal nations, similar to that brief period in the early Soviet Union; the Lapine nation's local government is referred to as the Owsla, after Watership Down.
Rabbi Brekkenion means 'blackberry' in the Lapine language (see this website for the conlang fleshed out by a Watership Down fan). Yiddish has also survived and flourished, and evolved through exchange with Lapine and other languages.
Lapine Judaism is a branch of Judaism that has evolved with the Lapine people.
the Grand Old Ship is the generation ship that brought humanity to this world.
Fifi is still young, enthusiastic, and proud of her role on this mission. Like many Lapine, she has a relaxed attitude towards sexuality - but we'll get to that when we introduce the rest of the crew and their relationships!
her spacesuit has a 'manoeuvre shell' over the shoulders allowing for precise flight in zero gravity. This has three RCS (Reaction Control System) thruster clusters, two on the shoulders and one on the backpack, allowing six-DOF movement. these are angled diagonally outwards to allow thrust downwards.

my very opinionated review of TBONA by Stephanie Garber
WARNINGS: I'm a person who rambles a lot and I will be trying hard not to in this review (and I'm using Grammarly lol) but I make no promises.
this review contains spoilers for tbona! (i am writing this review on Monday night {the 12th} the official release date is the 13th but I was lucky enough to get an owlcrate edition and I will be posting this review a few days after then.)
i will also be discussing my opinions on some debates I've been seeing about jacks's character in TBONA so if you can't handle my opinion then this isn't for you.

first of all, i do have some criticism for this book so let's get that out of the way.
i felt as if tbona was incredibly fast-paced (just like the first one) and I'm a binge reader so it felt like getting thrown all over the place because of how fast I read it lol so I would recommend this book more for slower readers then I would binge readers if you want to absorb the plot more. but i honestly like how she gets straight to the point with it so that's why i love all of her books!
i also guessed a few of the plot twists from some theories I've made and discussed in the Magnificent North discord server but I do that a lot with books so it doesn't ruin much (it just makes me feel smarter than everyone lmfao)
another thing, I didn't really like how towards the end eva kind of gave off the "I can change him" vibes which I mean makes sense in some ways but still I'm not a huge fan of that BUT I like how Evangeline actually listened to him.
I also wasn't very happy that it wasn't really acknowledged that she made his heart beat??...we're ignoring this again??? homie???
and the scar wasn't really a plot point at all which I found to be a bit weird.
but besides that, i don't really have any more criticism for it.

the ending was IMMACULATE it had so much emotional depth and feeling???? oh my god???
I also liked the backstory we got on Jacks because damn it all makes sense now! and it was interesting to see how he was connected to the north, but now I'm curious about how he got to Valenda and how he ended up in the card.
also, can we just talk about how beautifully tragic that ending was???? like yes it was sad but CAN WE JUST APPRECIATE IT FOR A MINUTE LIKE OMG

honestly 5/5 stars. this is definitely my new favorite!

alright now to get into the stuff about jacks's character that I'm seeing posts about a lot.
so i've seen a lot of people say that they "hate" him or that he's "toxic" or that evajacks is a toxic ship and honestly I disagree and here's why:
the entire point of jacks's character is that he's a heartbroken VILLAIN, not a hero. and he keeps saying that throughout literally every book he's in. he says to tella "I'm the villain, even in my own story." in Finale. we are told over and over again that he's not a hero. "I hurt everyone, little fox." there are a lot more quotes of him literally saying he's the bad guy in TBONA and OUABH 😭 "you need to stop holding me to human standards," jacks drawled. "I'm a fate." and then again with; "I'm not your enemy, little fox. I know you're still angry with me, but you've always known what I am. I never tried to pretend otherwise, you just let yourself believe I was something I'm not." and once again; "I'm not your friend. I'm not some human boy who will tell you pretty lies or bring you flowers or gift you jewels."
(collectors edition of OUABH) him saying he's a bad guy and he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
the entire point of TBONA and OUABH is people making bad choices because of their broken hearts.
also, i don't see how you guys aren't saying anything about LaLa when she betrayed eva as well, like where's the logic??? and what LaLa did was worse in my opinion because it put eva in danger of DYING jacks never did that.
and don't give me the whole "oh she's a fate she doesn't understand human emotions" BUT YOU WANT JACKS TO??? HOW IS THAT FAIR??? if you don't like jacks that's perfectly fine but let's be fair 😭i'm not saying jacks's actions were okay BUT HE'S A VILLAIN YOU CAN'T EXPECT HIM TO COMPLETELY CHANGE IN TWO BOOKS!!!
overall, you can't expect a character to completely change and I'm glad he didn't get some rushed redemption arc in this. you need to look into it a bit more before you just give it a bad review because "jacks was a bad guy"

I regret to inform... (but also) good news about upcoming fics + name reveal
Soooo basically, I had 2 Eva requests left and I was going back and forth between working on both of them.
I am almost finished with one actually!
But sadly, I was deleting a different draft of something else I had been working on and I accidently deleted one of the Eva ones :(
the way I write is first I write everything on Tumblr (For formatting reasons) and then I copy and paste it in google docs to send to my editor, so regretfully, It wasn't backed up or anything yet since it wasn't finished. (Maybe I should start backing my work up though...)
I apologize to whichever Anon requested the one I deleted, I feel terrible, but I don't think I could recreate all the work I put into that fic so I will not be starting over.
However, I do hope you enjoy the one that will be coming out eventually.
in better news, if anyone is interested in the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Midge x reader fic I said I would be writing, I finished that one and sent it to my editor so that one will be out extremely soon, she might actually be done with it today I think, I have to check with her.
after that comes out, I recently got another request, and to all my Moon Knight fans be ready because it is another Angsty MK fic!!!
but of course, The Eva fic I have already been working on will be done and posted before that one :)
lastly, I have a couple other Midge x reader ideas that miiight make it to the drafting stage but we will see 😌
If you haven't watched the marvelous Mrs. Maisel yet, the entire show is streaming on Amazon prime right now. It's an absolutely hilarious but also touching show (it helped me keep my sanity last semester in college) and there is no doubt in my mind that ya'll will fall in love with Midge because Rachel Brosnahan is just....PHEW. She's so gorgeous and I swear, I met her in real life twice and her gorgeous, contagious smile and beauty is just as prominent irl. So if you do happen to fall for her like I did (And my editor too actually haha) feel free to come back to my masterlist and read my fic(s) about Midge! Because there are also almost no x reader fics with Midge sadly.

im now 100% sure i originally stopped watching s4 after episode 5 LOL which was kinda real of me cause this season was umm a mess
i do believe s1 and s3 are masterpieces. s2 and s4 on the other hand have…some issues

i think yousef not being muslim is a really good plotline i just wish it had been given a proper amount of focus. because i dont want sana to compromise her beliefs obviously. but at the same time im sitting here thinking as a muslim i love islam but i dont agree with lots about it and i dont think that makes you a bad person necessarily. but i do think yousef goes to turkey and regains his faith and converts back for sana ❤️ because they are true love ❤️

having finished all of s4 i think that i am…glad i finally watched it all? there were a lot of good parts about this season but even if the end of episode 8-episode 10 made me satisfied when i reflect on what happened before that i get so irritated.
i really love episode 10, but if it was going to happen this way then all the other episodes should have been far more focused on sana. for me rather than wrapping things up episode 10 instead emphasizes that there’s way more story to tell here and that there should have been 6 seasons…but whatever…
i think this season did a lot of good & what im most glad about is that it avoided the whole western stereotype about muslim parents & sana’s family was great. if we could cut out half the noora stuff, develop sana and yousef further, GIVE YOUSEF SCREENTIME, give jamila more screentime also, pick up the dropped storylines about elias, have the girl squad actually interact (and have sana interact with chris and eva and vilde not just noora…she and noora are obviously close but why tf are there like no scenes of sana talking with the others alone), have the balloon squad and even properly talk, have even explain things, have sana and even interacting, remove half the annoying russ bus stuff, remove that terrible terrible sara plotline, and follow through on the ideas present in the first 4 episodes of the show. then. this could have been a really great season. as it is i have my criticisms but i did cry and i do love them. sana <3

animorphs book 35.5 (visser) #thoughts
i have no idea what to expect here. i am so excited.
oh wow, i just assumed that this would be about visser three based on the title.
holy shit classic sci fi courtroom drama with flashbacks. fuck YES!!
i never expected to get visser one's backstory tbh - this is a huge shock.
honestly the rest feels like a huuuuge spoiler so under the cut just in case!
is visser one female? i know she's had mostly female host bodies. obviously it doesn't matter except for the fact that the yeerk from book #19 (blanking on the name) was explicitly referred to with she/her pronouns and also had a female host. do yeerks even have gender? i feel like they do. which is odd. anyway.
i love all the callbacks to previous events aaaa

i don't know what to feel about the reveal that visser one had human children with another yeerk. on the one hand it's fully contextualized in the book and makes sense -- so far from home, she made a connection, both with the other yeerk and with humans in general. it feels poignant and meaningful and earned. and god, the scene where her human controller son is trying to get her to shoot his host body, jesus fuck.
on the other hand, this feels like pretty well-trod trope for female villains: a change of heart after pregnancy or becoming a mother/mother figure. i'm not a huge fan of it as a trope. but it mostly works for me here, i think. idk. i'm still sitting with it for now.
jesus god THIS IS SO PAINFUL. i wasn't sure we'd ever get a conversation between marco and his mom, wow.
has ANYONE suffered as eva lastname has suffered. all that just for visser one to go girlboss somewhere else. ugh. great book, though.
