What Are Those: In some stories, due to their nature, dragons seek, avoid and attack certain places/objects. Fire dragons seek anything and anywhere that gives heat, Ice dragons avoid said heat while Holy dragons attack anything that's impure. We know Jaune seeks precious gems. Blake: And, that’s why, Weiss is upset.
Ruby: I think it’s more so to do with her pride of not answering any herself.
Blake: Probably.
Juniper: Ahh you silly girls; You asked a dragon to play a game of riddles. You were bound to lose eventually, Jaune is a master of riddles. It’s honestly a little scary.

Ruby: To actually have safe sex?
Yang: Yeah, I mean you’ve already done it with a few girls. Hopefully me too… You don’t want them to end up pregnant, and ruin their careers now do you?
Jaune: Wrong.
Weiss: Those answers make complete sense.
Blake: How is that wrong?
Jaune: Simple: Mom punched a hole into the tip of the condom with a pin, rendering them useless.
Ruby: That’s not why you’re giving him those condoms now is it?
Juniper: Dammit, I’ve become predictable…
Ruby: W-W-What…?
Yang: Wait seriously?!
Blake: Talk about baby fever…
Weiss: Thank goodness you used a working one when you slept with my mom. Right, Jaune?
Ruby: Wait, You did sleep with her mom?!
Yang: I thought that was just a wild rumour?! You actually did it?!
Jaune: Uhhh…
Weiss: Y-You used protection… R-Right, Jaune…?

Y/N has never been one to go on dates, let alone go on dates with the campus’ star soccer player. But Y/N’s shyness is the yin to Zach’s yang, which is his confidence. He is never afraid to ask for extra caramel sauce when her drink doesn’t come with enough and she doesn’t mind staying in when he needs a break from his busy social life. She wants to take the next step and ask him to be her boyfriend, but she is scared he will say no. The probability is low; however, she is always afraid he will one day wake up and realize he needs someone more extroverted like him. She sits on the picnic blanket, waiting for Zach to meet her after his class. The quad is a very busy place, so she settles them down in a hidden getaway she found during her first year of school.
Her eyes are glued to her phone when a pair of hands block her vision. A grin crosses her face and she turns to wrap her arms around his neck. She places her head on his chest to breathe in his cologne. He takes her hand and leads her back to the blanket. “Wow, Baby. This all looks so great. Thank you for setting it all up,” he thanks, giving her a kiss on the forehead. She really wishes it was on her lips. She shakes her head, “It was no problem. It was my idea after all. I actually want to ask you something.” He picks up a cheese and cracker, putting it in his mouth with a nod for her to continue.
His eyes are giving her his full attention and she gets very nervous. Her head drops, looking at her fingers playing with each other. He gives a soft chuckle, lifting her chin up so she can look at him again. “You can tell me anything, Baby,” he whispers, scooting closer to her. Her eyes dart to the tree they are under before looking back at him, “I was wondering if you wanted to be my boyfriend.” She says in such a quiet voice that, even with how close he is, Zach can’t hear her. “What was that baby? Could you say that again?” he teases, guessing what she wanted to say. She isn’t sure if she can get those words out again, so she smashes her lips against his. Zach leans back in surprise, bringing her with him. They fall over so his back is against the ground. He recovers from his shock and his fingers twine with her hair to continue the kiss.
Eventually, they have to pull away for a breath of fresh air. Zach rests his head on her forehead. “I still didn’t hear you.” She giggles, “Well, to get you up to date. You are my boyfriend and I am your girlfriend.” Zach loves her newfound confidence, but he misses his shy girl. The Yin to his Yang. So he gives her another kiss that would bring her back.

The jealousy sex backfired. Kyle hadn’t actually talked to either of you since he bolted out of your apartment that night. But you could always sense when he was around. His hungry gaze rips your clothes to shreds in his imagination. He never approaches you or becomes a physical threat. Kyle would just stare at you. From his driveway. In the park near your house. Even at the off campus cafe. You dreamt about Kyle once. He was standing at the foot of your bed, watching you sleep next to Jungwon. His eyes glowed golden as he smiled, slowly pulling you out of Jungwon’s grasp. But you weren’t afraid and you didn’t fight him. Your body felt like it was on fire as Kyle hovered over you, sinking into you. Suddenly, you were both falling, bodies intertwined. You woke up, sweaty and panting. You’re convinced that you actually moaned out loud. You were embarrassingly turned on by a nightmare. But it felt so good. Was it a nightmare though? You immediately woke Jungwon up and begged him to fuck you dumb.
These days Jungwon is overwhelmed with work and school. The start of the fall semester hit him like a freight train. You didn’t want to add to his stress. So you carried on with your own course load and pretended everything was fine. You were hoping that maybe everything would somehow work itself out without you having to tell him about Kyle… Until Kyle shows up on your doorstep while Jungwon is taking a lunch break at your apartment one day.
“What do you want Kyle? She’s not here.” Jungwon says, patience at zero. He tries to close the door but Kyle puts his hand up to stop it.
“You don’t deserve her. You treat her like property. Like she’s just your plaything. Nothing more than a slut.”
“Watch your fucking mouth. I love her! You don’t even know her. I will bury you alive in the backyard, plant a rose garden for her on your grave. Fuck her sooo good in said garden and not lose a fucking wink of sleep over it.” Jungwon growls, taking a step toward Kyle.
“You talk a lot of shit for a guy with so many secrets,” Kyle smirks. “I bet she doesn’t even really know you. Does she know about your mentor– the one who disappeared? Does she know about what happened to your high school sweetheart? Hmm? Does the woman you supposedly “love” even know the truth about us?” Kyle laughs as Jungwon stares at him. “You’re still the same Yang Jungwon. This little act– sensitive nerdy college kid with glasses. You may have fooled everyone here. But not me.”
“Get the fuck out of my face before I call the police,” Jungwon hisses. Kyle walks away.
“I’m sure you’ve got her convinced that you’re an angel. But you’ll slip up and I’ll be here to save her. I’m looking forward to it.”

i don't think the branwen tribe under raven's leadership operates under the "the weak die, the strong live" rule.
they did, back when raven and qrow were kids—raven points out the rule like qrow should know it—but once raven took over... the bartender sees shay as nuisance rather than a genuine threat; the tribesmen get their asses kicked more often than not; they rely on numbers, not individual strength; more notably, when yang demands raven to send her to qrow, damn it, the tribesmen don't take too kindly to it: "that's enough! you watch your mouth in front of our leader!"
if the weak die, the strong live, you'd probably expect your leader to be able to stand up for herself in the face of demands and some light swearing, daughter or not. instead, the tribesmen don't wait for that, they step in on their own.
shay threatens yang: "when raven finds out what you did, you're dead!" <- there's an expectation, trust, that if they can't deal with something, raven will take care of it for them. and when shay finds out that yang is raven's daughter, he thinks it's him who's going to be dead. maybe he was being a tad dramatic, but the next time we see him, he's on guard duty.
if there was any punishment for his actions, all it would have amounted to was guard duty. the weak die, the strong live, you fucked up so i guess you're off to guard duty.
based on the bartender, the citizen living outside the kingdom walls in anima aren't super afraid of the bandits in general; they are, however, afraid of raven. the tribesmen aren't, though, but they seem to be of vernal (the "spring maiden"), if these two bandits and their differing reactions and behavior around the two are anything to go by:
it's a night and day. almost literally lol
the bandits respect raven without any hint of fear, they're willing to throw hands for her (unless they're against a maiden, that is, then she's on her own lol), in a sense, under raven's leadership, they are a family; the kind that goes "i've got your back, you've got mine".
i have no doubt this wasn't the case back when the twins were kids—qrow wasn't wanted after his semblance manifested for crying out loud—but things have clearly changed, since then.

Are pretty much 100% from the same scene based off the clouds. I’m not of the opinion that it’s the location of a kiss/confession for a variety of reasons (I don’t see them showing the location of that in trailers, the vibes aren’t right, and what we’re seeing looks more like an obstacle to pass) BUT the inclusion of similar clouds on the poster is very interesting
Especially combined with the shot we have of Yang almost falling off the bridge.
I just get major metaphor-y vibes with Yang maybe being afraid to take that next step in her relationship with Blake. It’s especially interesting that the clouds take on a more pinkish hue in Blake’s shot (which presumably is the last chronologically of the stills, after the bridge is crossed)

𐂂 Heeseung ≕ He won't even let you turn on the car. He's already bracing for dear life and you've done nothing. He's teaching you how to hold the wheel, what all the stuff in the car means, and how driving is dangerous, blah blah blah. After thirty minutes you complain that you both have gone nowhere and you go to turn on the car and he lets out a little gasp, fear covered on his face. You laugh at his expression but most importantly you're just really annoyed. He keeps telling you to wait before stepping on the gas, and after another ten minutes of him struggling to let you drive, you give up. Learning to drive with Lee Heesueng is harder than it seems.
𓊿 Jay ≕ He's surprisingly calm. Maybe a little too clam. He directs you with the sweetest voice on what to do next. You peek over to see his face and it's so relaxed that you're worried. Most of the driving is silent with him talking every now and then. When you're finally done and stop the car, he lets out an exaggerated breath. You ask him why he was so calm. "I didn't want to die," he'd respond back. But you felt at ease driving and at one point it was fun even if you were a bit paranoid. It's a yes on letting Park Jay teach you to drive!
ꈊ Jake ≕ He might be a little too excited. The minute you too get in the car he's so giddy and giggly. He's teaching you what to do, and after every little thing, he's laughing like a child. You drive around the block and he's complimenting you on everything, your turns, your speed, your breaking. By the time you're done, he had a little score sheet on his phone made. He gave you a hundred even though it was your first time driving a car. "You're all grown up now. Look at you driving." he'd beam. Sim Jake teaching you to drive might be a little too easy, but he's cute about it so it's a yes!
𖠪 Sunghoon ≕ Bless his heart, he is so afraid. But at least he lets you drive the car -- he's bracing for dear life, but at least you're driving. He's trying to help you out, it comes out in a panic voice which makes you panic and you end up stepping on the breaks so hard that you both catapult out of the seat. He'd apologize each time, but it was getting a bit irritating. He lets you drive only a few more feet before he's panicking again, telling you to stop. "let me drive," He'd say. You're so annoyed that you don't try to protest. Park Sunghoon is a no-go on teaching you to drive.
𓄊 Sunoo ≕ It's calm at first, but then you do one thing wrong, and he's yelling at you. "How did you not see that stop sign?" He'd shout. And of course, you'd shout back. Sooner or later you both are getting into an argument. Another mistake and he's going off on you again. "If you get your license then this world is in trouble," he's ruthless. It lasts another five minutes until you're done with his nagging. Kim Sunoo does not hold back when teaching you to drive.
𓃠 Jungwon ≕ He's forgotten that he is supposed to be teaching you how to drive and instead he's cracking jokes and having a hearty conversation with you, which then you of course forget that you're even driving. It's going good until you both are in a burst of deep laughter and you press on the gas instead of the break and almost crash into a tree. it's silent for a while and the two of you look at each other and laugh again. Yang Jungwon teaching you to drive isn't really teaching at all.
𓄂 Ni-Ki ≕ He doesn't even know how to drive himself but he begged you to take him with you. This is not even you learning to drive, it's you and Ni-ki getting into chaos. The minute you step on the gas, Ni-Ki is a giggling mess. He yelps a little every time you turn and does a little whisper shout when you hit the gas. He's tempting you to do a doughnut in the parking lot (and of course, you do). He's the worst to try and drive with. He'll be a little devil and stick his hand in front of your eyes so that you can't see. He'll go silent and then shouts all of a sudden to spook you and you hit the breaks hard. Do NOT go driving with Nishimura Riki.

Okay, if I don’t try one more time to get down my full thoughts about Blake & Yang’s love confession before tomorrow’s chapter I’ll probably regret it.
Off the bat there is one criticism I’ve seen that I’d like to address, the notion that the scenario and Blake realizing the solution was contrived and too easy.
My response to that is, so what?
The scenario is a backdrop, an excuse, a way for these two characters to be alone and have a reason to explore and talk about their feelings. You can look at any number of shows or movies where the romantic scenes are no less contrived but of course, the standards are so, so much higher for a queer romance.
Now on to the scene itself. Plenty of you have already done a breakdown so I’ll skip that and focus on how I felt watching it.
There’s absolutely no negativity around it, no misunderstandings, no guilt, no shame. Both girls know they’re in love with each other it’s just that Blake has had something happen to her that Yang didn’t.
She saw the love of her life “die”. Yang still has the mindset that they’ve got all the time in the world so she’s hesitant to take “the next step” and possibly screw up what they have now.
But Blake understands that they might not have tomorrow and there are so many things she needs Yang to know. How brave she is, how comforting, how she admires her determination to follow through.
Blake’s openness about how she sees Yang gives her the room to respond in kind, how Blake has never been intimidated by her despite her loudness and brashness, how she admires her capacity for forgiveness and her certainty about what she wants.
There’s nothing superficial in these revelations these are the deep truths they see and admire in each other.
And then Yang realizes what it’s all leading to and she’s scared. It’s never easy opening your heart. Yang has never been good at vulnerability always brushing away uncomfortable feelings with a joke but now there’s no place to hide and she’s afraid of falling.
And then Blake tells her that she’s falling right alongside her and that it’s alright. All she has to do is say the words and everything they both want, they can have.
It’s the easiest and most difficult thing Yang has ever done. “I think I love you.”
Those are the words Blake has been yearning to hear ever since she realized Yang was alive. “I love you too.” she says.
Courage, kindness, honesty and love. These are all attributes these two wonderful, amazing girls have in unlimited amounts. They’ve earned their happiness and I have no doubt in my mind that their love is eternal.
They are perfect, this was perfect and I’m so looking forward to what they’re going to be able to accomplish together.
I love you girls so much.

So, I have ADHD and I have hyperfocused on analyzing every single interaction Blake and Yang have. So this is my analysis of the hand holding in Vol9 Ep2...
Their hands are so close. But not close enough. Blake tries to go for Yang's but she doesn't move her hand. When she is unable to hold it, Blake gently touches Yang with her finger. Only then, as Blake moves away, does Yang's hand move towards Blake's. But she can't hold it. It is too late.
So, what I read in this is that Blake is absolutely ready to take the next step in their relationship. She was waiting for the right time. She was waiting to have a moment to sit and talk about their feelings. She was scared and wanted to do things right. Then Yang died. She literally died in front of her eyes. Yang was gone and they never lived their love. So when she sees her again, when she realized Yang wasn't gone she went for it. She literally tackled Yang onto the floor. She kept her promise not to ever leave her alone. And now she is openly flirting with her. She has stopped waiting for the right time because the only time they have guaranteed is now.

If I had to make the ninja confront their greatest fear again, except I guess more technological because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ moving on
some. Fear room scenario. This isn’t an episode there doesn’t have to be a reason Face your greatest fear, triumph, get through. Fail and be locked inside forever. No one is taking their chances on that one, not after ten seasons since yangs temple. Also what did he know anyways.
there’s only four slots, so obviously they didn’t count on a party of six. But it also won’t open the next puzzle of the dungeon without every room getting filled. Zane and Lloyd sit this one out, knowing that their greatest fears are. Pretty scary actually. And dangerous/destructive. Obviously it’s the whole ice emperor for 40 years thing and something with his dad. Nya ain’t scared of No thing, not since her worst fear already HAPPENED according to a weird mirror. Kai is also scared of NO THING or at least willing to make sure Lloyd and Zane don’t have to do it. Jay has a lot of fears to choose from, he’d like to see it try to pick a “greatest”. And Cole’s pretty sure what he thought were the scariest things have already happened to him once, so he can take whatever fake scenario it throws at him.
Zane and Lloyd lay out their plan to get through the vents and hack the doors open. The other four step in.
Cole’s right — his greatest fear is being alone again, being forgotten, forgetting to be human, letting his friends down, his friends not caring. Baby mode stuff, he’s already had these nightmares and also already talked it through with more than one person, like a healthy individual. He tries to meditate through it. He just has to last until Zane and Lloyd figure out how to shut it off and rescue him. Just gotta… figure out if any of his friends’ voices are real. He falls for it a few times, gradually getting more and more paranoid that he’s in a cry wolf situation. He can hold out, though. Just… when they are real, he’ll know, and they won’t leave him. Probably.

He didn’t even know he was scared he never left. It tricks him into thinking it’s not an illusion. Jay’s body is slammed into survival mode.
Nya’s room thinks for a moment. And then starts filling with water. It’s not real water, even if it is very wet feeling, but like, she’s not even AFRAID of water. She is water! Or, was. But she’s always liked to swim anyways. Nya reaches down to bat at the illusory ocean and blinks, and when she opens her eyes the water level is four inches higher her feet hurt a little and she is not in the same spot she was before she blinked. That unnerves her. Badly. Is she losing time? What happened, what did she do for the last minute and a half while the water was slowly rising? Nya is terrified of losing control, but she’s also afraid of the blank spot of bliss and ignorance in her memory when she was just the sea, and not a person. She knew what she was doing then. Even though she keeps telling herself it’s totally not real, every skip brings the water higher and a jolt of panic at more and more and more lost time, the fear that her body is doing something she can’t know about in between. Nya doesn’t even think to be afraid of drowning.
Kai has to watch.
Kai walks into the room and sees all three other rooms through a transparent, to him, wall, and waits for his doodad to click on and it never does, like it’s broken or something. And it just, continues to not turn on, even as he can see it working for everyone else. He can see Cole becoming frustrated with himself for getting his hopes up, his sister jerk back to awareness violently and flounder for help she isn’t getting, not even now that she wants it, Jay press himself into a corner with his fingers digging into his hair like he’s trying to disappear. He can see Lloyd and Zane, too, give each other a fist bump, hop into the vents, and get. Caught. And Kai can’t help. No one can hear him, no matter how hard he slams into the wall he can’t break it. He would break it if he could. Kai isn’t scared of losing his powers anymore. He’s scared of being powerless — of being perfectly fine, while his family takes hits he should be taking. They don’t deserve to get hurt while Kai twiddles his thumbs and gets out of playing. Not while he could help.
Lloyd and Zane pop the doors open a minute later to Kai nearly melting holes through the walls, no reaction from Cole, a shaky sigh of relief from Nya (knew it wasn’t real now can someone get me a watch please.), and a violent flinch from Jay that nearly fries Zane’s processor. Everyone decides this room is too advanced, it needs to be destroyed, and three people try to get out of talking about it later before Cole threatens to ban Zane from the kitchen at his own expense
