I honestly never thought about it too much but I just realized that Caul personally went to his sister's loop and I'm pretty sure that they saw each other if only for a minute before they got transported to another ship. when he created her he gave her all those abilities so she could fix the world. because there are some things that an average elf isn’t capable of doing. he spent years working in his lab a adjusting her just so. he wanted his Moonlark to be perfect, she was meant to save the world. they had nameless enemies who need stopping and they where not able to stop them on her own, they needed a powerful Moonlark to help them. so he gave her abilities that hurt and heal so she could use them as needed.

he doesn’t want his Moonlark to die, and he hates to see her injured. but it’s necessary to put her danger if they are going find what she’s really capable of. he knows he’s supposed to let her make her own choices but, sometimes he has to lie or give her a push in the right direction. but it’s for the greater good, he wants to see his Moonlark reach her full potential. she was created to fix the world and there is so much too be fixed.

he doesn’t see her as Sophie

as a teenage girl

he only sees her as his Moonlark he always has.
