My headcanons
Miss Peregrine is very afraid of Grimbears (due to what happened in LOS)
Murnau was a cannibal
Caul knew that Bentham's statues were humans, but he didn't mess with them because he thought they were actually stuffed dead people.
Bentham's Grimbear was killed from the battle of LOS. (I had a theory that he survived and became a hollow unlike anything he's ever seen, but it's just a theory)
Abe must have seen Golan thousands of times and never identified him as a wight.
Emma, Millard, Fiona and Hugh must blame themselves for what happened to Charlotte.
Claire is afraid of Enoch's humunculi and wants them far away from her dolls and stuffed animals.
Olive sleeps on the bottom bunk bed, but instead of her mattress being on top of the bottom bunk, it is stuck under the top bunk, so that she doesn't need to be tied to her bed and can sleep more comfortably (I'll draw this later)
Caul was never punished for attacking Miss P when he was a child, which is why she is so resentful and says he was too spoiled, after all he did not bear the consequences of his actions
Ymbrynes feel pain when transforming into birds, all their bones change at once and their entire body is forced to shrink, probably the faster the transformation the less pain.
Ymbrynes feel the peculiarities of others, they cannot identify which one it is, but they feel that a Child is peculiar. So a ymbryne identified baby Jacob's peculiarity , so the peregrine identified Abe's Peculiarity , and so the miss P always knows when Millard is present.

(Kind of?) a redraw of this alternate ending I have for TDoDA, where both brothers survive and keep some of their monstrous features. Only change I made is that Caul ain’t in jail and he doesn’t have legs anymore. The two other pictures are from almost exactly three years ago, funnily enough
And Jacob at Derek’s Bloodsport Arena + Caul in the audience, watching 👀 he wasn’t canonically there, but I like to think he was. I think he goes there to watch ambro addicts fight, looking to hire them depending on how well they do. Lots of them know he’s watching and will try to appeal to him. Because obviously there is nothing greater in Devil’s Acre than being made one of Caul’s soldiers /s

So i might as well just talk about some things as a start.
i LOVE the miss peregrine books. I unfortunately wasnt that big on reading or just books in general when they were coming out so I presumably missed the peak of the fandom. BUT. I've been in this fandom for over a year now so I like to think I've earned a spot
my favourite characters are Myron Benthem, Sharon, Miss Peregrine, Emma, and <iss BALENCIAGA Wrenn (90% because I just love saying her name)
the movie is.. ok. considereing only the first 2 books were out by the time it started production they did what they could, but there were so many needless changes that it just dragged it down (and don't get me started on all the plot holes. like how the hell can they access Miss Avocet's new loop which was made in the modern day from Miss Peregrine's collapsed 1940s loop. and I'm sorry Miss Avocet but putting your children in a modern loop wouldn't stop their rapid ageing, you'd have to go into a loop further in the past not forward). i do however think that with the correct team and a director who is trying to stay as faithful to the books as possible, it could work as an amazing limited series. i personally would do it as 1 chapter per episode but I'm not in tv so :p
oh and ive recently been reading Tales of the Peculiar just for fun. "the splendid cannibals" was my favourite but I'm yet to read the final story

Random mphfpc shit with Fay<3
I honestly don't remember if I have already talked about this or not because it's been in my head for so long. I was rereading Library of Souls and I just had to talk about it so..
Ymbrynes can only transform without their clothes sooo what the hell is going on at the end of Library. Are they just flying back to the pile of clothes going "hold up, lemme get dressed again, before you attack me again" or wha-😭
Yk when they transform into birds to fight the wights and then little time later Miss Peregrine is human again to snap at Myron. (I think it's mentioned that she wears a shawl around her shoulders but she's not wearing JUST THAT, IS SHE??😭)
And then she transforms again later to hurt Caul, he slaps her against the wall and after some time she's back again in human form snapping the paper from Myron's hand...so she just flew past Caul again, got her dress and underdress and EVERYTHING, GET DRESSED AND RUN TO MYRON AND JACOB OR WHA-??
...and then last when the ymbrynes transform to lift Olive and the kids up... So like basically all the ymbrynes leave their clothes in the loop🧐 and not much later they are human again, talking with Sharon etc.
Like?? How?? What am I missing here??😭

I always forget that
My brain always makes me completely forget that Wights are cannibals. I don't know, this information is always deleted from my head and when I remember it I'm shocked by it.
I know that not all of them are (they are no longer, every hollow is a cannibal by necessity), but some continue with the habit. Percival murnau I'm sure I'd still eat human flesh if I had to. He wouldn't think twice, as is described in the book, he will eat anything and is so unpleasant that his peers don't like to be around him.
Another one who I'm absolutely sure is also a cannibal is Caul. He eats peculiar souls, and I think this still qualifies as cannibalism, after all souls are parts of peculiar bodies, very important parts, and Caul describes how he eats them in the second book: he says that souls without anything have no taste, but that they are great with seasoning and as an accompaniment to white meat.☠️
There's probably more, and it's quite disturbing, some of them never lose their appreciation for human flesh☠️

Hi, do you ever wonder why Miss P’s last name is Lefay but her brothers are both Bentham? The Peregrine part aside.
Ymbrynes get to change their name upon completing their education so maybe she chose to change her name to have nothing to do with her old family. Still, I’m more curious about the Lefay name and what it means to Miss P.

Yeah, as you said, I think Alma got her ymbryne name after she graduated from the academy. So she used to be Alma LeFay Bentham
I think LeFay may have been part of her mother’s name? I know their parents were. Not great. But when she was talking about them that one time she seemed to be just sad about it, rather than despising them. (Same with her brothers. She obviously doesn’t like them, but really, in the end it all just makes her sad. Maybe there was a time when they did get along as children? Yknow little Jack maybe NOT being abusive the moment she’s born.) anyway, anyway, or she’s not sad about it, and she just took her mother’s name in spite of her. Like taking control over something that was once a bad experience for her, making that name HERS yknow what I’m saying?
Also apparently as of Museum of Wonders we find out Bentham wasn’t actually their family name. Myron just took it, cause he wanted to pay tribute to Jeremy Bentham (who did use to be their ancestor). But like, cmon Mr. Riggs I‘ve been going with the fact that that‘s their last name for like 7 years now, some people even for 9 years? And suddenly you‘re telling us that‘s not actually their last name. Bro.
So anyway I‘m obviously ignoring the canon here <3
