This is going to be a little different because this isn't from dgkotr but from another wip I started.
"At a friend's house, in the spades territory. We'll go straight to your kingdom after that."
He's still looking at himself in the mirror, I don't know if he's vain or afraid of something in particular but he seems relieved every time he looks at his reflection.
I knock 3 times at the door, and it's only a matter of time before my mother's friend opens it for us. I go in while the prince stays out of the way. In the meantime, he had put his hood back on. The man encouraged him to come in, and he joined me in the living room.
I really have to introduce this wip because this doesn't make sense at all for someone who didn't see my past posts about it.
For anyone who saw the post about the disease, might be why the prince is looking in the mirror (just saying)

What's something that was horrible in the moment, but in hindsight is hilarious?
I remember the first time our band did a school show, we were so nervous. There was a cable in the middle of the stage and I tripped and fell in front of kids older than us. They started laughing and I was so embarrassed. We also played badly after that because of the stress. I'm glad we didn't give up immediately, this was just a silly accident that became a kind of joke between us.
2. Do you often get lost in thought? Where does your mind go? How do you focus?
I don't often but I know a friend of mine who's also the singer of our band who does. She sometimes struggles to come up with lyrics but we're here to help. She said she can see how the "story" of the song goes but it's just silent.
3. Who do you worry about the most?
My sister, she's always for me and I'm always there for her. She's like my best friend I think.

Writers Help
Hey writers, I got a question for you. Can anyone tell me about Q and A dialogue? I received feedback from one of my beta readers who says I do this a lot (and for anyone who's unsure of what I'm talking about, I'll give you an example.)
Character A: "Who are you?" Question
Character B: "No one important." Answer
I was told it was best to avoid this kind of writing for dialogue and I was curious if anyone can explain this a bit more and what can I do to improve, or get rid of it?

When you accidentally bought the compilation of the first 3 paper girls comics so you had to wait for months for the second part to be released and now you have two THICK books with GORGEOUS covers 😍🤭

Last time I was talking to someone about my book and they asked the genre, I said I wasn't really sure so I explained the plot (they also took a look at my tumblr) and they said it could be thriller but I honestly don't know. If anyone could help me figure out my wip's genre, I'd be so thankful! I just wanna be able to tell potential future readers "yea my book is that genre!" so they have an idea of the book's vibes.

I finished watching Good Omens, it was great. I'm also watching the adaptation of Paper Girls, I'm only at episode 2 (or 3 Idk) but I'm really disappointed. I can't continue or I'll be spoiled since I haven't read the compilation of the last 3 comics.
Spoilers on paper girls :
It just went really fast, a lot of important scenes were removed and others were added which didn't make really sense. They changed a character's entire personnality which makes her similar to another character. For the people who read paper girls, you know that it was Mac's step-mother who "shot" Erin, well in the show, she wasn't even there and it's Mac who shot her in the stomach. It's a small detail but it would've made more sense for the mom to shot so Mac and Erin are not awkward when they're talking and stuff but instead Erin just forgave Mac, like, who forgives someone who almost killed you ?? Also the adult version of Erin came way too soon. I liked how the girls and her met in the book. They changed the year, it was supposed to be in 2016 and the story happens in 2019.
I was waiting for the scene when they're in the basement, the pterodactyls in the sky, Mac's iconic pink/ginger hair (she looks so cool like that), the old guy, the alien-teens who helped the girls (like they immediately died, 2 mins of screen time and they're already gone), all the weird monsters, KJ being super brave, all the stuff happening in the sewers, fighting scenes, the other Erin (might appear later) etc....
You may think I'm overreacting but it's all those details above that makes the story interesting, removing them just don't let me enjoy the story as it should.
