Could you recommend any books about God’s relationship with humanity as a love story? (Apart from the Bible of course!) Preferably some which are coherent with Catholic thought? I feel this idea underpins many Catholic writings but I would appreciate any that discuss it explicitly. Thank you 🙏
everyone will recommend cs lewis here, but i don't like cs lewis so i'm not going to recommend him. these are mostly primary texts as opposed to commentaries or academic work, mainly because i find them to be fruitful for reflection- and, most mystics are, of course, catholic.

you may be interested in love and will by rollo may. georges bataille's erotism is a strange text and very subversive by has influenced a lot of my thinking on this topic. not super familiar with the text but i think you'd like the goad of divine love by saint bonaventure too.
the art of loving by erich fromm is one of my favourite books of all time (i carry a picture of tristan and isolde in my phone case because of this book).
the embrace of eros: bodies, desires, and sexuality in christianity may have some work of interest to you- "creation as god's call into erotic embodied relationality" by laurie a. jungling especially.
my understanding of divine love as a love story with humanity is intensely erotic, constructed around eros rather than philia or agape: most of what i read has this slant to it, so i've tried to recommend things that are not in/explicitly sensual, sexual, or erotic. it's not for everyone, but i can recommend more work about the eros relationship between god and humanity too.

I wanted to recommend putting a lot of time and energy into your presence on TikTok and Reels because I've seen so many businesses reach more of an audience this way. *Especially* artists that show the process of making their pieces -- people feel more connected to the final piece and appreciate the work that goes into it more. I think it would be fun and beneficial if you made videos of you making your jewelry before putting it up for sale!

I have been trying to do this but I have the absolute worst luck with Instagram. It was doing great in like late 2022/ early 2023 but now I’m in algorithm jail so all my posts get shown to like 15% of my followers and then that’s it. Idk why 😫
On TikTok I’ve been posting a bunch of behind the scenes stuff and this video actually did well compared to my other ones! It just unfortunately seems like you don’t really get anyone’s long term attention unless you go majorly viral and then continuously get pushed onto the fyp. It seems like any followers I get there now never see my videos again after they follow lol. The algorithm there is so weird.
But I’m definitely still putting effort into all of those and hopefully it will pay off soon 😊

Chat responds with defenses of your music taste, being much different than many of your friends.
You lightly shove his shoulder and find your rock playlist on his Spotify account, and scroll all the way down to Waiting For The End by Linkin Park.
"This is more like, nu-metal / alt rock. Much lighter than other stuff, I'm easing you in, Big Man" You smile, leaning back in your chair as you share an earbud with the blonde.
Tommy lightly bops his head for the first 45 seconds, then intently listens as Chester performs his lines with the very comforting, slight strain in his voice in which he calls in desperation.
By the two minute mark, Tommy was pleased. And by the end, he gave it a 7/10, signaling he was a Linkin Park fan in the making. That recieved a loud round of applause from you, genuinely happy that he seemed to actually enjoy the art of Linkin Park, the industrial, hip-hop, alt-rock/nu-metal sound of one of your favorite bands.
Next was recommended and voted upon by chat, Cobra (Rock Remix) by Megan Thee Stallion featuring Spiritbox.
Tommy wasn't the biggest fan, but he still jammed out, mostly finding displeasure in Megan's lyrics because hearing about someone's genuine, rough moments made him sad more than anything. He did actually like the song, he just had to get used to hearing about venting and whatnot in music like a sheltered child. He happened to love Courtney's vocals, leading you to switch to Secret Garden so he can hear more.
Sadly, he didn't end up liking Seether or Saliva that much, but he seemed interested in New Years Day and Sleep Token.
He seemed to really like Alkaline, and you replayed it at least five times to he could learn the lyrics and sing along with you. Safe to say when the VOD came out, the editors were going to go crazy and people would end up making the clip a Spotify podcast episode to listen.
Safe to say, it went better than expected, and Tommy had to make a new playlist to share some heavier music with you.
"What was that other one? The one that said reminded you of Superman or Batman or something?" The blonde asks, typing away to make a playlist on his desktop.
"Blurry by Puddle Of Mudd" You smile, patting him on the shoulder, "Chat, this went well. Tommy's joined the cool kids cult"
Tommy places a kiss on your cheek with a little thank you for appreciation. "God dammit, I wanna play Alkaline again!" He groans, returning to clicking away on his keyboard and mouse, adding some songs.
"Got a new favorite song, Simons?" You smile smugly
"Yes! It's very good, thank you!"
He invites you as a collaborator over Discord and uploads a picture of you two for the playlist cover, and leaks it to stream, telling chat to go find it like hunting dogs.
By the end of the stream, you were yelling, and probably disturbing neighbors in the process, the lyrics to 1000 Oceans by Tokio Hotel, slowly closing the stream out with a little karaoke finale.

Is it alright if I ask you for some guidance on connecting with the Norse pantheon? I'm entering into a really scary time in my life, grappling with going to college in the city despite being (up until now) a lifelong country bumpkin and possibly even moving out for the first time, all while being a timid autistic person with a terrible anxiety disorder.
Basically if there's ever a time I'd need the gods to be present in my life it's now, but I still struggle to feel connected with them sometimes. I still connect with them, I've had dreams where I talk with Odin and Thor and Freyr, but I can't say they're a completely consistent part of my life. Sometimes I even question if they're really protecting me, even though I know that's almost certainly the anxiety talking.
Is there anything you'd recommend doing to connect with the gods during a really stressful time? I have a very small and honestly not very impressive altar so maybe I should work to spruce that up more. Any guidance would be appreciated, sorry for bothering you 🙏 Thanks!
Hi there! First of all, I want to tell you that moving out is indeed scary, and it's very brave of you to consider moving so far! I definitely understand your situation, as I haved struggled with anxiety pretty much forever. Unfortunately, being a pagan with this sort of mental health challenge can bring about a lot of insecurity. And I find that sometimes, it can also make us feel disconnected from our spirituality. I don't think that this is something we can completely overcome. As a matter of fact, I find that it's better to ask yourself "why do I feel this way right now?", rather than say "I should be feeling this way, so why don't I?". What I learned with time is that our day-to-day circumstances affect our spirituality more than we think. For example, I often start to feel disconnected from my spiritual life when I've had a stressful week at work, or even just when I try too long and too hard to connect with the Gods. And on top of that, with social media being the way it is, people cant help but compare themselves with pagans who have more time and money on their hands. Now, I'm no expert on all things psychology, but I do know about spirituality. And I know that it comes and goes in waves: every single polytheist I've met experiences moments when they don't feel as connected to their Gods as they used to. Even those whose very career was tied to their spiritual practices. But those are not bad news! It only means that you have a healthy relationship with spirituality, and that you're not letting it overshadow the other important aspects of your life.
But more on the tips to stay connected to the Gods. What I know for certain is that sometimes, we have no control over how connected we feel to them. But there are a lot ways for you to keep them close to your heart. The first, in my opinion, is to make your spirituality into a safe and happy place. Find ways to make it fun! By listening to music that feels spiritual to you, writing down prayers or devotional poems when you’re inspired, wearing a piece of jewelry in their honor, making a Pinterest board into a little online shrine, drawing a rune or sigil which represents them on your skin, making art of the deities you love… In other words, don’t be afraid to mix your passions and your faith. No matter how “casual” it may feel! Sometimes, “casual” is what we can manage given our busy lives (which is why the size of your altar does not matter, it’s the love you pour into tending it that makes all the difference). It’s both perfectly normal and healthy. And if something about your practice/belief doesn’t feel right anymore, simply let go of it. Same goes if you don’t resonate with something that every other pagan seem to do.
Another tip I can give you is to simply try (don’t worry, I will elaborate). By this, I mean adopt simple gestures to honor them, even if there might not necessarily be a response. I find that this is especially important in moments when you struggle to feel the presence of your Gods. Leave them a small portion of your dinner every now and then. Do a little bit of research on this or that deity when you can. And if you’ve got the time, offer them a fruit, or a cup of coffee! Anything will do, no matter how small. Light a candle for them every night (routine helps a lot), and pray if you’ve got something on your mind. It’s normal not to see some sort of immediate response. But if you look around yourself during the day— if you look at the sunset on your way home from work, at the trees that rustle with the wind, or at the rain pouring outside your window—, and if you listen carefully to what people tell you, you might start to notice some signs. Recurring patterns and omens are a typical example of signs that a deity might send. It’s also fun to draw parallels between every day things and your deities. For example, to think of Freyr when you tend a cute new house plant. Or to pray to Skaði during a snowstorm! I have always loved “inviting” deities to witness certain events, so as to share the joy with them. I simply close my eyes, focus of the deity I want to call out to, and speak their name aloud, or murmur it. Actually, if you’re interested in this topic, I have written this post, which could be helpful to you!
Don’t be afraid to keep trying, that’s my most important tip. There’s really not much else we can do when we feel disconnected from our faith. Make your belief into something that feels right. Spirituality should be a happy place for you, and not a reason for worry. You deserve for your practice as a norse pagan to feel joyful and fulfilling. Above all, don’t force anything: these sorts of moments are inevitable. I’ve known them myself, and so has every other pagan. But things will get better soon, that I guarantee!

Happy #MellyMonday
Time for another commission blog. This Melia is from Mel, aka @formthethird. Here she is!
Mel has such a nice style for her art. She uses bright colors and pretty unique body formations whenever she does full-body art. The way she draws eyes and faces especially sets her apart from other artists. I find that to be pretty cute in my opinion.
The commission process was quite simple. I hit her up in her DMs, asked for another Full-body Long Hair Melia, sent the payment through Ko-Fi and here we are.
Really, not much has changed from the initial sketch/lineart to the actual drawing itself. What is interesting about this sketch is that it includes shadows that almost look like water smudges. It's a really creative way on where to place the lighting/shadows in the actual drawing. I also noticed the slightly different pose in the top left corner of the sketch.
As for the art itself, it was absolutely stunning. The way she is posed and the grass she is posing on almost reminds me of the Goodsmile Melia figure that released last year. It may just be the look of the grass though...
I actually think this is one of Mel's best work. The look of the art, combined with the pose and the nice purple and green gradient for the background, just makes it so appealing to look at.
Mel unfortunately isn't super active on the internet, nor does she take commissions much these days. She's still posting art on both Twitter and Tumblr though, which is very nice to see. I also recommend checking out her print shop too!
Well everyone, all good things must come to an end sometime. Well... not really. I'm going to take a brief hiatus for a few weeks on commission blogs. I think it would mostly help me be more creative with my writing and talk about my Melia commissions better. In the meantime, please check out the rest of the commission blogs if you haven't. Hello, I hope your health is getting better. I will be praying for your health. I came across your blog some days ago and I am loving it. I am interested in learning astrology so I was reading a book to get my basics strong because I understand I can't learn from tumblr or google. 🙈🤭 In that book it was said that how modern astrology is merging the meaning of house, signs and planets. There was an example that second house is money house, and its ruled bu taurus. Taurus is ruled by venus so many astrologers say that venus represents money. The book said that its false. Venus does represents luxuries but its not the planet that will give you will and power to work hard. So I wanted to ask you if you can make post about how people mix up the meanings of houses, signs and planets. The Venus observation is correct astrologically speaking even though people don’t like to hear it because they have Taurus placements. Jupiter actually is the planet that rules over wealth itself. Venus rules over material/worldly items though so yes it may rule over money itself but NOT an abundance of it/wealth without certain attributes
However, the 2nd house ≠ Venus meanings entirely. They share similar energies but the 2nd house is just happiest in the sign Taurus. People often confuse what natural rulers are and think that indicates equivalent meanings when it does not. It just means the houses are most beneficial in certain signs

I read pretty much every fic you post (even some outside of the fandoms I’m in) and they’re all soooo good.
But I noticed you keep a relatively good schedule??? If you could share some tips I’d appreciate it 🙏

I would say it's very important to have breaks. I have days where I write a lot because I have a lot of energy (and hyperfocus) and then I don't write at all on some days.
This can cause burnout too but I'm pretty good at managing those, taking a step back, go out, take a walk, watch a movie, or read a book which has been very effective for me, I've been reading a lot more this year.
As for deciding what I post it really depends on how much energy I have to write. Or if I really want to write something that will take priority. You can also get tired of writing that request and then move on to something else, which I would recommend, if you force yourself to write something it's not gonna be nearly as good as when you want to write it.

HI i appreciate this ask a lot i don't know if i count as any paragon of kyle expertise but... well. that's never stopped me.
if you're up to oyl you're pretty far along, and i assume you'd seen a handful of reading guides that nudge you towards all of gl (1990) #48-181 and its surrounding crossovers, including zero hour (1994) and final night/parallax: emerald night (1996). i derive most of my takes on his character from this era.
green lantern rebirth and gl publications thereon are often (in)famously authored by mr. geoff johns, so i cannot in good conscience integrate most of that body of work into my belief system. that being said! it does include the buildup to ion (2006) #1-12, which, while not perfect, has phenomenal art and is also pretty key to kyle's whole ethos. the buildup to ion is the following:
green lantern: rebirth (2004)
green lantern corps: recharge (2005)
rann/thanagar war: infinite crisis special (2006)
ion (2006)
if you're not allergic to ensemble comics, he is also a frequent cast member in jla (1997) for the first 70 or so issues; it's a good place to look to see him foster relationships with other members of the dc universe (like wally, whose friendship with kyle is basically nonexistent nowadays but i have not forgotten) and gradually gain confidence as gl. some highlights include:
jla (1997) #1-7 — he's such a rookie here. he's clearly very new to the game and nervous about it, so it's a good look into how he started off and what he grew from.

Regardless of an author’s views, it is always unfortunate when they have to finish their story abruptly because of the pressure of the readers. One would think that they would appreciate it enough not to bully the author, but unfortunately, a lot of times people are very demanding and emotional.

lol Anon!! I am very happy that you got intrigued by these two; I really like thinking about them too to be honest lol so I guess I better share my thoughts before we get more canon lore about them (god forbid, I wouldn’t want that at all! *reverse psychology*)
Alright, so to answer your questions…
To be honest, I don’t think they sleep in the same bed, mostly because both of them are too damn long and take up too much space to share a bed lol They used to sleep together when they just got married, but quickly decided that it’s just too bothersome.
Moray eels aren’t super social and don’t have the “mate for life” mentality, so their family façade is kind of fake. It also makes them dangerous, because one moray eel is already trouble, but two? Who also have a family? This is one of the things that make them so dangerous. So yeah, I wouldn’t say that Papa and Mama Leech love each other romantically, but they have mutually beneficial relationship, and to them this is probably even better than love. They are also probably aren’t intimate with each other anymore… they are with other people though, when they feel like it~
So yeah, to answer your question about a cuck chair lol Sure, why not, but I feel like with these two it’d be more like one of them is obliterating some poor merman while the other watches it just for the sake of enjoying the show. And some additional intimidation/humiliation 😔
When it comes to family, both of them really wanted kids, but not due to any wholesome reasons: Papa Leech wanted to keep his business going strong even after he’s gone, and he would rather choke on a puffer fish than entrust it to anyone other than his own copies lol And Mama Leech really enjoys the drama of being a mother and a wife. She is a bit of a narcissist, and both of them are kind of sociopathic?? But they love their kids in their own ways.
The fact that Mama Leech doesn’t cook is the biggest secret in the world lol The tweels usually play along, especially Jade, but Floyd is more likely to just roll his eyes whenever she is talking to someone about cooking dinner for her sons. I would say that they have a cook, but actually I feel like the majority of things that they eat are raw…

My only thing I would want to say is that I plan on revising some of the earlier chapters where it doesn't quite flow the way the rest of the chapters do, so if I finish it before I've done that (which probably won't happen, but just in case), I would recommend waiting a little!
ANYWAY. making an entire tumblr acc just to interact with me here? ...that's dedication man🫡 I already said it but I appreciate EVERY comment i get so i will be waiting with baited breath after every chapter!!

Hi Joan, I know this may seem random but you seem like a person with wisdom so I wanted to get your advice. I saw my former therapist on a dating app and it freaked me out. I understand therapists have their own social lives and that’s fine, but it freaked me out because he’s twice my age (actually even older) and I literally started to spiral because I was wondering why he was popping up for me first thing when I opened the app as a compatible match. We didn’t match or anything, I would’ve had to send a ‘like’ (this is Hinge) but I immediately exited out of his profile. He either saw me and also exited out or he hadn’t seen it yet because once you reject on Hinge it’ll bounce your profile their way so they can still like it. For further context, the app has an “age range” feature. He falls FAR outside of my range however I didn’t set mine to “dealbreaker” mode which means it can still recommend people outside that range. It doesn’t happen often though. I’m also freaking out because I guess I’m questioning whether he saw me? And the scariest thing for me is whether his age range is set super low or whether, like me, he simply doesn’t have it set to “dealbreaker” mode. it was like a traumatic jump scare and I’ve been thinking about it all day. I stopped doing sessions with him like half a year ago because of insurance issues but I even recently considered going back and now I feel like I can’t unsee that and it freaks me out because I can’t tell if he’s a potentially creepy person who dates much younger women (this would crush me) or if maybe this was all just some big awkward coincidence. I live in a very big city and the chances of this happening feel little but they did. I’m starting to spiral and question if he’s a bad person, if the therapy was even helpful or maybe even harmful etc. anyway I feel pretty terrified and feel like I need an outside perspective, any insight would be much appreciated, thanks so much 🙏
Considering that you also didn't have your account set to "dealbreaker," I think it's a little unfair to assume the worst of him from this. It's absolutely awkward and I even understand feeling mortified and stressed by it, but it's ultimately a situation of coincidence that, however unprobable, is very possible. How would you feel if your supervisor or dentist popped up on hinge, also a possibility? Awkward no doubt, but life is filled with moments of awkward chance which you have to either laugh off and move on from or become overwhelmed by. I understand not wanting to see him in a therapy capacity after this, as it may just be too awkward, but that doesn't make his time spent as your therapist unproductive or harmful. And it doesn't mean you can't find a wonderful new therapist to replace him. I'm sorry you had this jump scare, and hope you can put it out of your mind relatively soon.

now, i just want to preface that i am not an expert at this stuff by any means, so please just take this with a grain of salt and i will try to help the best i can 🙏
🪐 METHOD RECOMMENDATIONS:
first of all, i'm gonna break it down (mainly for my personal purposes so i feel like i'm being organised with it lmao) but from what you said you find it difficult to concentrate due to having adhd, and you often fall asleep during methods and lose track of time. you also have difficulties with visualisation.
i have a few recommendations for this (because honestly, this is something i can totally relate to so i completely understand 😭)
for some general recommendations, since you notice that you tend to fall asleep often during methods, maybe you could try a sleep method? sleep methods are mostly the same as awake methods except you just fall asleep during or at the end of your method, with the intention to wake up in your desired reality.
since you also find it difficult to concentrate and visualise, maybe using the intention method would work better. the intention method is simply just you setting the intention to shift, then letting go and trusting the process. you could use this as an asleep method and set the intention to wake up in your desired reality, completely trusting yourself and letting go, then you wake up in your desired reality!
however, i believe one of the most important things about using just intention, is having a strong belief in your abilities to shift and confidence in yourself. decide that you WILL shift instead of just 'attempting' or 'trying' or thinking you MIGHT shift. don't view shifting to your desired reality as a possibility, but rather something that you are going to do and something that is going to be your reality (tbh this advice goes well with all methods and shifting 'attempts').
another thing you could look into is the law of assumption and use it for shifting! the law of assumption is a common manifestation technique, but also a law of life regardless of how it's used. the law states that your assumptions and internal states create your reality. therefore, anything that you assume and decide to be true, will reflect in your 3D physical reality. it's all about changing your internal states, assumptions and dominant thoughts to change your reality, as reality reflects your internal state.
so for example, if you assume and persist that "you will wake up in your desired reality," and internally assume this to be true, then it's inevitable for your reality to reflect your assumption. you wake up in your desired reality.
i like using the law of assumption because in it's essence, it's very simple! i just assume that something is to be true, imagine it, let go, don't stress (because i already have it in imagination), and boom! it's my reality.
however, again like the intention method, having a good self-concept, and having confidence in yourself and your abilities goes a long way.
either way, i highly recommend looking into the law of assumption and using it within your shifting journey + your usual methods. it's such a gamechanger!
on the other hand, if you're looking for more specific methods, you could check out the 8D method (also known as the ADHD method). i'm not sure if you've heard of it before but i think it could be something that you're looking for. it incorporates the use of 8D audio (or any audio/music you like) and has little to no visualisation required! here are some links to some posts explaining it with some variations of the method:

🪐 BODY TWITCHES AND SHIFTING 'SYMPTOMS'.
so i'm going to be very truthful and i no way do i want to demotivate you but body twitches aren't really a shifting symptom. rather, many 'shifting symptoms' people think are shifting symptoms, are just signs your physical body is falling asleep and relaxing. shifting doesn't really have any physical symptoms since it is not a physical process. for most people, shifting literally feels like nothing. however, please don't let this demotivate you or anything! i'm sure with every step of the way, you're making great progress so keep going! i just wanted to be honest with you :)
anyways, i hope the rest of your day is well and i hope this helped! please don't be afraid to explore further from my recommendations though because there are plenty more methods out there that could be more suited to your liking! these are just my personal recommendations :) or maybe, you could make up your own method to more suited to your liking and strengths as well!
