Alright so, word of advice for everyone working remotely:
If someone in leadership pisses you off, do not talk shit about them in side chats on company software.
They can read that.
They will read that.
While it’s legally been deemed in the same realm as water cooler talk, meaning you can’t be fired for it, if you’ve done literally anything else that could be escalated to a fireable offense? They may now decide it’s time to escalate.

Life lately:
It’s been awhile. Like, a really long time. Last time I was here I was working for Disney in the parks and blogging everything about that experience for four years. With touches of my personal life, too.
Now? I’m no longer in Florida. I left Disney, but came back two years ago to work here remotely in recruiting. So I work in corporate bringing in new talent! Exciting, right?
I’m with a man that gives me butterflies and we have a dog named Snickers who is our whole world.
I listen to Taylor Swift every day, for about… 12 years now? But I just went to the Eras Tour in Seattle (a journey for another post) and had a completely out of body experience.
I love working out but struggle with food.
I still love to read and write. I still love video games. I love shopping but I’m terrible at picking out clothes.
Anyway, it’s good to be back. ♥️

Want to go full remote but I have too many disrespectful roommates that are loud as fuck. Want to go to the office but my social anxiety is in full swing and I think everyone hates me there.

5 Tips To Set Up an Efficient Home Office
The benefits of working from home are unquestionable, therefore it's crucial to designate a workstation that encourages focus and inspiration.
Tumblr media
Select the appropriate furniture. They can be designed specifically to fit the dimensions and shape of your area, maximizing the amount of storage you have by making the most of every square inch. Additionally, it is wise to spend money on an ergonomic chair that will provide you with the optimum level of support during the day and guarantee that your desk and displays are set at the proper height.
Boost the lighting. In order to get the most out of natural light throughout the day, you should try to position your desk adjacent to a window. Your workspace must be well-lit in order for you to operate effectively. A directed floor lamp, a pendant light over the desk, or an adjustable lamp could all be used.
Personalize it. To make your home office more comfortable and a place you'll actually want to spend time, add personal touches. Make your room your own by decorating it whatever you choose, whether that's with lots of images and artwork for inspiration or neutral hues and a minimalistic style to keep focused. Your mood will be affected by the room's hues.
Establish an isolated work area. Your brain will work better to get in the zone and you'll be less distracted if you have a location that is isolated from other activities you perform at home. Choose a location with plenty of plug sockets and peace & quiet. The secret is to pick a location where work will be your only activity.
Invest in storage options. Your ability to concentrate is hampered by disarray. Make sure everything from your desk has a place to stay organized and clean. You could, for instance, put your stationary in a drawer, file your documents neatly, or use a peg board attached on the wall to keep things off your desk.
Whether you own your own business, occasionally or regularly work from home, or are employed by a corporation that supports remote work. You need a home office setup with cove security if you're a modern professional who has abandoned the traditional office environment in favor of working from the convenience of your own home.

Remote work is becoming increasingly prevalent in today's digital age, which presents a unique set of challenges for team collaboration. Handling conflict in a remote team is one such problem, as the lack of face-to-face communication may foster misconceptions and make it even more difficult to resolve conflict.

Imagine you can move your office wherever you want and run your business while experiencing a new country. Working remotely can provide this besides many other advantages it offers. All you need to know is which country has adequate conditions for you as a remote employee and is it worth it to embark on an adventure or not.

my comic from the @neverturnbackzine! truly one of my favorite zines i've been a part of :]
some extra insight/fun facts about the process of this piece below the cut 💥💥💥
posting pieces from collaborative zines is always something i struggle with because i look back and think of how i would do things differently now, but i learned a lot working on this comic and even developed some style techniques that i still use!
Fun Fact 1: the panel where shadow Fucking Disintegrates That Guy is technically traditionally drawn! i couldn't get it right in clip studio so i just started frantically scribbling in a notebook and got it eventually lol
Tumblr media
highly highly recommend scribbling stuff out in a notebook, scanning it on your phone, and then dropping it into a canvas to edit later if you ever have trouble sketching something.
Fun Fact 2: a lot of the overlay/background effects were made in Kid Pix Deluxe 3D. i created a whole collection of various textures/abstract effects for this comic that i've been using in my art since last year. you can even find them scattered through my team dark zine lol. here's a few of them:

similarly, the background at the bottom of page 2 is actually a warped photo i took of a bunch of headphone wires. this is the original:

Fun Fact 3: i made this comic during a very busy and wild period of time last year so this is what the final panel looked like for a while before i fully finished it LMAO
Tumblr media
ok yay thanks for reading bye
