#why are you censoring yourself in real life

People who say “unalive” out loud in real life have stage 4 terminal brain rot. Uncurable truly.

I had a thought for a creator but they didn't believe they were the creator and could influence others into believing it too.
The two characters are Sara kujou and yae miko
@mastadon64 here you go!
Gaslight, Gatekeep, Godboss - Kujou Sara and Yae Miko
Kujou Sara
Cw: Sexual innuendos
Tumblr media
-Honestly, waking up in Teyvat, you had a hard time convincing yourself you weren’t dreaming
-(It took you tumbling down a hill and slamming into a particularly sharp rock to realize it was not a dream. Also, ow)
-(You ignored the way your blood was golden. You were pretty sure you’d never seen the Genshin characters bleed anyways. It was probably just censoring. Totally.)
-Some way or another, you ended up in Inazuma
-Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as you were expecting
-Most of the creatures were pretty chill, and as long as you avoided the people, you didn’t get in much trouble
-And then you kicked a Tenryou commission officer in the face and got arrested
-You know, jail wasn’t as bad as you expected either!
-Your cellmates weren’t too bad either- one of them asked you if you were god, which was weird, because you didn’t look anything like the Shogun, but you gave him a stick of dango and he shut up
-(You might not have been a god, but the fact that you managed to keep your inventory from the game was the closest thing to a divine blessing that you could imagine. Who needs a gnosis when you have your own pocket dimension?)
-It’s about half an hour before you’re taken from your cell for questioning
-You walk into a small interrogation room, shock igniting in your chest as you spot Kujou Sara
-Wasn’t she important?
-Was kicking that guy in the face really such a grave offense?
-“Are you the Creator God?” She asks, deathly serious
-Why did people keep asking you this???
-You’re pretty sure you don’t look too godly, garbed in stolen clothes that you’re ninety percent sure you put on wrong, a fading bite mark on your arm from when you tried to pet a rifthound, leaves in your hair. Honestly, you looked pretty disheveled, and…
-“Is that your way of saying you think I’m hot? Like… godly or whatever?”
-Considering the way the Tengu’s face turns a vibrant red, you’re either very right, or very wrong
-It’d be funnier if you were right though, so you press on
-“I mean, not that I’m not into it, but I’m feeling kinda iffy about the power dynamic here- prisoner and cop is a cute trope and all, but not all that smart in real life, I mean I get it if it’s a kink or whatever, I know handcuffs are attractive, but as of right now it’s immoral-”
-“Shut up. Please.” Sara mumbled, covering her red face with her hand. Her hair has more volume than usual, tiny sparks of static dancing between the strands
-“… I mean after I get out of prison I’d totally be down to go on a date, and if you feed me well enough I might even let you handcuff me.” You add.
-The silence in the room is heavy
-“Get out.”
-“Yes ma’am. Hm. No. Yes Mommy? Yes Master-“
-You’re cut off by an electrically charged arrow striking the wall beside your head.
-“Out.”
-“Okay!”
-You’re released from prison three days later, now with a whole gaggle of new friends from criminals
-(You ignored the fact that some of them made really important sounding speeches swearing their fealty to you. Also the small shrine they were building in your honor. If you didn’t acknowledge it, it didn’t exist)
-You were surprised that as soon as you left, you were met with a glaring Kujou Sara, who takes your hand in her own
-“Am I being arrested again?”
-“… I’m going to take you on a date. And then I’m going to handcuff you.”
-“Yes Mommy!”
-“I Will Shoot You Again.”
Yae Miko
Tumblr media
-You had to admit, stumbling upon a small shrine that seemed to be dedicated to your doppelgänger was creepy
-But you had also just been Isekaied to video game land, so you were pretty adaptable at the moment.
-Or high on adrenaline.
-You pick up one of the Sunsiettas from the shrine, biting down and relaxing, until-
-“Your excellency?!” A voice squeaks, and looking up you see a very frazzled shrine maiden staring at you.
-“Uh. No?” You say, swallowing the Sunsietta.
-The shrine maiden starts sobbing. “Your excellency!”
-“Oh- no- I’m- uh- I’m like you? You know? I’m uh… a messiah? Priest? Prophet? Whatever gets you to stop crying?” You awkwardly pat her head.
-“You- you’re the Creators chosen one?” She blubbers.
-“Uh. Yeah. Totally. Stop crying.”
-“CHOSEN ONE!” And she’s crying again
-After a lot of crying, you’re led to the Grand Narukami shrine, where you’re introduced to the head shrine maiden as the chosen one
-“… Are you sure she’s not just the creator?”
-“You flatter me. I’m just gods favoritist and most specialist little princess.”
-The Kitsune likes this. Perhaps too much, but we’ll let her have her fun
-And thus, the war to get you to admit that you’re the Creator begins, hidden under the guise of her introducing you to chosen one duties
-She takes you on a pilgrimage all across Inazuma first, going to the most dangerous places possible just to put you in danger and save you at the last second, disappointed that you never use godly powers to save (read: reveal) yourself
-She meditates with you, and paints obscure markings on your face when you fall asleep, which you have to pass off as messages from the creator
-She takes you to meet the Shogun, but after leaving you alone for five minutes, returns to you teaching her poker and robbing her blind. You cited divine luck and she pretended she didn’t notice the cards stuffed inside your sleeve
-It ends pretty anticlimactically, actually
-She’s introducing you to the local foxes, when you trip over a rock and face plant into the floor
-And get a nose bleed
-Miko can’t help but doubling over in laughter at the sight of your pout as golden blood drips down your face
-“And how are you explaining this one, Oh revered Chosen One?”
-“Genetic condition.”
-The laughter doubles

Why is it that dc such as r@pe, sa, and incest is totally okay to write about and romanticize but y’all draw the line at racism, fat phobia, and homophobia *talking about the writings creators make, not personal beliefs*? Whats the difference between these things? All of them are hurtful and affect people in real life, so why is everybody on here choosing and picking one and not the other? Do writers on here think that they are not comparable or that one is okay to romanticize and the other is going way too far?
Im just genuinely curious as I have seen this topic be brought up again and again, which has made me realize this and Id like to see it from someone else's pov.
hi! there is a lot to answer and unpack here and i have every intention of doing so underneath the cut. forgive me if this gets long, but you’ve asked me 4 very massive questions that i think warrant detail, nuance, and thought. there is a lot i’d like to say here.
that being said, mind the content warnings and protect yourself.
cw: mentions of rape, incest, racism, homophobia, fat phobia, discourse in general
firstly, i am going to choose to give you the benefit of the doubt in assuming you are actually curious in hearing another side and you are not simply looking to stir a pot or pick a fight with beliefs you have no intention of changing or having an open discussion on. your accusatory tone in the first half indicates otherwise and kindly, i am not an idiot. but i want to earnestly talk to you about this and again, will think better of you than you perhaps have indicated you think of me.
secondly, you do not have to censor words like rape in my inbox. that sort of censorship has become wildly popular because of tik tok and other money-hungry social media that also desperately want to silence people. do you know why you have to censor words like that on tik tok? or words like genocide? suicide? racism? 1. so that they can make money and market and push their squeaky clean algorithms but 2. and perhaps worse, so they can silence victims. if social media platforms and capitalism and the systems of powers had it their way, you would never utter these words again—whether to call someone out for justice or to have an open discussion like this one. i encourage you greatly to think critically about this and how you choose to use censorship and why.
now, to your questions.
to preface, i am interpreting this ask as being anti-dark content in fiction as you state that ALL these subjects harm people in real life. or at least, you are being critical of all dark content in fiction and the way writers engage with them, effectively ‘picking and choosing’ which are deemed acceptable and which aren’t, when they are all hurtful. i apologize if that wasn’t your intention/what you believe, but regardless, i’ll endeavor to answer you.
i personally have drawn no lines about dark content nor spoken about any of these topics specifically really, which indicates to me you have a different narrative and/or are coming from more inflammatory arguments that are always circling fandom lately. in the post i most recently reblogged, i spoke mostly of violence. which, of course, all of those things can be. but i didn’t name one of those topics in particular.
regardless, i don’t believe in the censorship of any dark content in art, but rather advocate strongly for critical analysis on a case-by-case basis. in general, i encourage thinking critically about every aspect of the world around you.
i do not believe that rape, incest, and sa are okay to write about or create art about but racism, homophobia, and fat phobia are not. i believe all of those topics are ones that can, should, and will be explored in the safety of art. all to varying degrees of success, earnestness, impact, and intent. you’re right that these are real things, that can hurt people, and the fictional work about them can have impact on our society that is tangible but the actual art or fiction created is not real. and again, this is all to varying degrees on a case-by-case basis.
art and fiction also historically and massively do discuss these dark content topics and have actively swayed the public’s opinion on matters, whether for better or for worse. throwing away all dark content in art and fiction because it is ‘harmful’ is deeply, deeply dangerous and reductive. a lot of art that engages with dark content actually makes very succinct points about it—i think of vladimir nabokov’s lolita or octavia butler’s bloodchild or speak by laurie halse anderson.
this is where we must exorcise critical thinking. some pieces of work will handle dark content poorly—white saviors making art on racism. men making art about a woman’s experiences that (as you are so interested in) romanticize her pain. etc. etc. and some art will handle it’s dark content incredibly and be transformative, perhaps even revolutionary in how we talk, perceive, or acknowledge systems of oppression, violence, and dark content in this world. some dark content in fiction will have damaging beliefs and effects on society, some will not—we must also look at scope for this, at the writer perhaps, the historical moment, their audience etc.
(for example, there is a significant difference in a main stream male writer, writing of a woman’s experience with rape in a published book in a way that makes it sound romanticized, sold to thousands and thousands of general public vs. a woman using fanfic to explore rape, take control of it, or whatever in a fanfic for a small online community where there are warnings on it. indicating she is aware of its potential damage in a way her male counterpart is not…)
but i still believe in dark contents’ existence in art. of course there is differences between all of these topics you brought up, but i don’t think their differences matter in this answer. i believe in their right to be explored in art. i am talking broadly of media/art here, which i think is the more relevant conversation, but i think you are actually more interested in a much smaller scale of people. ie. fandom. ie. mostly marginalized people in small communities online writing and creating dark content.
people will choose and pick which ones they’d like to create art over and which ones they don’t, which ones they read and which ones they don’t. there’s no ‘hard line’ drawn anywhere. and i can’t control it and neither can you. perhaps you think violence is okay to be explored in fanfic, but racism isn’t. someone else will have different preferences. i do not believe in its censorship.
now, let’s move onto your interest in romanticization and what i think you are more pointing to, which is fandom. you are specifically referring to people in fandom who write about rape, incest, etc. and ‘romanticize’ it—ie. they write about it in a way that is a fantasy. it is perhaps supposed to be horny or sexy. so let’s talk about it.
i must remind you that these topics you’ve brought up (rape, incest, sa) being written are fiction and it is (most often) done by someone marginalized who has either experienced this or is in threat of experiencing this under a patriarchy. i assure you, they are aware of its harm. hence the copious warnings in fandom spaces.
if i can be candid, sometimes i think that people forget how systems of oppression work when discussing fandom and whether dark content being created should be allowed or not.
for example, i sometimes think people who are anti-dark content in fandom believe that a woman or afab person writing a fictional fanfic about rape or sexual violence then influences people to go out and rape people or that women actually like it. when the reality, in fandom spaces, is that rape and sexual violence happen frequently under the patriarchy and then these women in fandom write fictional fanfic in response to cope, explore, take control of, etc. etc.
to insinuate that women or afab people (which fandom mostly is) exploring dark content safely in fiction then causes their own oppression and harm or trauma is rather victim-blame-y to me. fandom exploring dark content does not cause these things to happen in our society….these actions (rape, incest, sa) happen in our society or systems of power and fandom reacts to them in their art by exploring it in dark content. do you understand what i’m trying to say?
it’s not a matter of what is ‘okay’ to romanticize and what isn’t. i do not think the romanticization that fandom does with dark content (ie. my kidnapper actually loves me! or this sexual act that i did not consent to…maybe feels good) is not actually romanticizing but coping because of the systems of power that i described above. and this can be coping with anything—shame of sexuality, shame of fantasies, trauma, fear, etc. etc.
as i said in my tags in that post i reblogged and as plato said, dark content in art is a safe place to explore what would otherwise be harmful and dangerous in real life. it is cathartic. potentially even, a purging.
and even if it isn’t all that—maybe it just is trashy fantasy. it is still playing pretend. it is still fiction and in fandom spaces, it is still most likely being created by a marginalized person. and again, even if it isn’t, we don’t get to censor it. we can be critical of it or wary or whatever, but to censor it, is a slippery, slippery slope. do deem some topics as “acceptable” and others as “unacceptable” is dangerous.
just like kids play pretend where they ‘fight’ or ‘kill’ or ‘kidnap’ or ‘shoot’ each other in games of cops and robbers or heroes and villains, they are safely exploring adventure, dark content, fantasy, tragedy, and higher emotions. adults can do the same in fiction and with adult topics like sex.
and at the end of the day, we don’t get to demand the credentials to do so either. we don’t get to censor them or control them and nor should we be allowed to. i cannot stress enough that i encourage you to be critical of censorship or the absolute disgust in dark content and at those (again—often marginalized people) who engage with it in fandom. i believe it is deeply puritanical, conservative, and dangerous.
you don’t have to like dark content or consume it at all and fandom makes it easy not to with all the warnings and tags, but you cannot control others or police them. nor should you want to.
and at the end of the day, i have some questions for you. you don’t have to respond to this, perhaps they’re just things to think about. what is the end goal here? what is the point in harassing, shaming, attacking, criticizing, or interrogating people in fandom spaces who create or support dark content? do you believe that if it is purged from fandom, it will be purged from our society? if you want it purged from society—shouldn’t you start there rather than in the inbox of marginalized writers in fandom? people in fandom did not create rape, incest, and sa nor do they in their exploration of fiction…they are merely reacting to a world that did create it.
i hope at no point i came off as rude to you, as was not my intention. i intended to stand up for myself and respectfully state my opinions and thoughts on this matter. i’m sorry it got long, but also i don’t believe in being brief on such complex matters. i am a writer who engages critically with the world around me and sometimes, things cannot be made into short, snappy answers. sometimes, we must unpack.
genuinely wishing you well.

LEO AND Y/N’S GARAGE: AUTO REPAIR AND MECHANICAL MONSTERS
masterlist | rules
in which life after camp half-blood is everything you and leo could’ve wished for
pairing husband!leo valdez x wife!athena!reader
warnings none :)
on the radio . . . this is the life (amy macdonald), keep driving (harry styles)
an i read the bit w leo and calypsos repair shop in house of hades and knew what i had to do 👩🏼‍💻
Eventually, the scent of your lineage - half mortal, half Goddess - began to wear off. What once was the bane of your existence, singling you out as ‘different’ and putting you in danger from the moment you popped out of your mother’s brain, was now a faint odour, a mere memory of the life you once led and the people you knew.
Leo didn’t wear off, though. He could never. Your relationship had been unexpected by everyone who knew the two of you. Pristine, perfect Y/N, daughter of Athena, the girl who not only stayed within the lines but drew them herself, and Leo Valdez, a messy, wild son of Hephaestus. From the moment you laid eyes on him, you knew you wouldn’t stand him. He was persistent and annoying, never giving you a moment’s peace and tearing down the walls you so carefully built around yourself.
In the end, he grew on you, and you realised you had a lot more in common than you thought. For example, your love of machinery. For as long as you could remember, you gravitated towards wires and nuts and bolts, only stopping when you got to camp as your life became filled with training and learning about the side of the family you didn’t even know you had. You used to longingly stare at the Hephaestus kids, itching to pick up a wrench and join them as they made all sorts of weaponry. Now, you own your very own garage: Leo and Y/N’s Garage: Auto-repair and Mechanical Monsters.
It started off as a silly joke between you and Leo. You were newly graduated and after spending so much time taking care of the Godly side of your family, you forgot what life as a mortal was like. Sure, you always wanted to be a mechanic, but what now? You didn’t want to work for someone else. You spent your whole life working for other people and watching as everyone you loved had shrouds burnt for them (if they were lucky), so you thought it was only fair if you did something for yourself.
“We could always open our own garage,” Leo had said when you voiced your thoughts that day, “‘Leo and Y/N’s Garage: Auto-repair and Mechanical Monsters’ has a nice ring to it, right?”
You laughed, saying something along the lines of “get real, Valdez,” before deciding to help him as he cooked dinner. Little did you know, Leo was being real. The next morning, he started looking for places he could rent for your garage. A few months after that, he began furnishing it and months after that, he started advertising. Once he was sure that everything was perfect, he decided to show you his little project, a velvet box with a certain piece of very valuable metal weighing down his coat pocket.
Today marks the six year anniversary of the opening of your garage (as well as the six year anniversary of your engagement), and to say business was booming would be an understatement. It started off as a place for mortals only, they’d drop off their cars and the nicer ones would stay for a little to make small talk, marvelling at your stories of how you sailed from the US to Europe together on a ship Leo built himself (you censored a lot of your experiences, of course), but after you expanded the garage, making it almost twice as big as it was before, you thought, ‘Why not let this be a place for demigods, too?’
Hidden from the eyes of mortals, the second half of your garage comes to life. There, you sell weaponry, armour and anything a demigod could possibly need, as well as providing a safe haven for those who needed recuperation after a long and tiring quest. You loved meeting them all, giving them advice and comfort as proof that things do get better and not all demigods die at the age of 16.
“Leo, have you seen Espe?” You yelled, wiping the grime from your hands as you realised your daughter had gone missing. Your son was too young to be at the garage and usually you’d stay with him, but your hands were itching for a hammer and your dear sister and brother-in-law offered to babysit, so why not let them? Your daughter was another case. She seemed to have inherited her parents’ inability to sit still and love for making things, insisting on spending all her time at work with the two of you as soon as she could walk.
On cue, Leo waltzed into the mortal side of the garage, your first born daughter, named Esperanza after his mother, in one arm and a toolbox in the other. “She decided to amuse herself with daddy’s magic toolbelt,” he said, sitting down on a nearby stool and placing her on his lap, “summoned about 50,000 gummy bears. I’m surprised she managed to override the cooldown on it, I’ve been trying to figure that out for years”
“Gummy bear?” She asked, looking up at Leo then at you, a grin - one she clearly got from her father - gracing her lips as she suddenly seemed interested in your conversation, making the two of you break into fits of laughter, which in turn made her laugh. Did she know what she was laughing about? No, but it didn’t matter anyway.
Unbeknownst to the two of you, you were being watched. Sydney and Aaron, the two demigods you were hosting as the former’s leg healed, were going to tell you that they were good to leave tomorrow when they stopped, noticing you were having a moment.
“It’s hard to remember they’re demigods too,” Aaron began, “they seem so… normal. No chaos, no monsters, nothing,” he stared longingly at you, then down at the girl next to him. Could they have that too?
As if she read his mind, Sydney took his hand in hers and smiled, “we’ll make it, trust me. They went through a lot before this, remember? They were part of the last great prophecy. If they can do it, so can we.”
If you had told your past self that you’d marry the one boy who managed to get under your skin, start a family with him and open not just a garage, but a place where demigods could feel a sliver of normalcy, you would’ve laughed in your own face.

Okay I just watch digital circus because of your post and it was a blast and I love the character and the idea of a scenario came to me
Caine, Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, with an actor reader who loves to play into the adventures and play NPCs to set up the immersion maybe even write up some ideas for Adventures to make things more fun
Anyways have a great day night whatever and thanks for the fun writings
Thank you! Hope I did your ask justice!
Caine, Pomni, Jax and Ragatha x Reader who makes NPCs and writes
Tumblr media
Caine
★ He really appreciates your help! It's hard work making up games for everyone to play while taking into account everyone's preferences. No matter how much you protest, he will use each and every idea you come up with.
★ Caine sets up a little studio for you to work in. It's filled with paper, multiple typewriterband all sorts of art supplies. Maybe some clay for you to build some models of a character you want to create?
★ You're NPCs are always great and often end up being a hit with the others. By that I mean the gang tolerates them more than his NPCs. You manage to give them more personally than he could have ever given.
★ If you somehow get Zooble to join in the fun he will congratulate you for doing a good job. His hat is off to you, you did something he thought was impossible. Now only if you could get Zooble to stop trying to swear...
★ I know the NPCs don't have any ai but Gooseworx confirmed that Bubble is a much simpler AI created by Caine. Therefore, he can theoretically make one of your characters come to life.
Pomni
★ At first she thought that the characters you make were real people. Once you told her that they were nothing but glorified puppets she had to question the sentience of everyone she's met so far.
★ You gotta make this girl a therapist. Aside from that it doesn't take her long to start asking questions about why you like to make different characters and stories.
★ She's not as creative as you, doesn't really understand the appeal of creating something like you do. The most she can do is come up with a few names.
★ Despite knowing that they aren't real people, Pomni still apologizes to the NPCs. It's force of habit. Maybe you could add some dialogue for if/when someone apologizes for something?
★ If we're being completely honest, she doesn't really like any of the NPCs. It just feels wrong when she needs to talk to them for something. It's like speaking to one of those robotic pre-recorded messages over the phone.
Jax
★ He's extra mean to the NPCs you make, just because he can. He knows that they can't get offended or upset but he doesn't care. They will be getting pushed into the mud.
★ When you decide to scrap an old character he gladly helps. The moment you say you need to get rid of it he's reaching for the nearest baseball bat. No need to worry about cleaning up 👍
Jax when the NPC starts to annoy him
★ Jax thinks it's funny when you get upset over him being mean to a NPC because you've grown attached to some of them.
★After that he asks you what you plan to make next. Can you blame him for being curious? Jax wants to know what you're planning before anyone else. Don't worry, he can keep a secret.
★ As a "joke" he told you to try and make a NPC that Caine would need to heavily censor. Just to see what the ringmaster would do. Whatever you made that day was thrown into the cellar.
Ragatha
★ She likes to watch you make different characters for certain situations. Caine wants to set up a fishing adventure? Best believe you are making an NPC who's a fisherman to set up the immersion.
★ You might overwork yourself while trying to come up with a game for everyone to play. Ragatha sometimes needs to step in to tell you to take a break. There's no use overworking yourself, go take a break!
★ She really wants everyone to have fun with the adventures you put together. There's no doubt that she loves them. Also she's the first person to yell at Jax for being mean to the NPCs.

Hey. Serious post. Trigger warning for sexualization of minors.
Yes. This is about Scepterno. Of course it's about Scepterno. I am not going to censor his name, because everyone should know what is going on with him.
He has responded to my post about him, where I said he was actively talking about Alenoah nsfw. I am going to respond to that.
Let's talk!
"i have seen the Posts and im laughing very hard HAHAH not only is Noah a fictional character, he is canonically 19 in the show. and is around my age. even if he werent.... i dont care. cuz he's fake. i can do whatever i want to him because hes not real. yall need to go outside and find some real problems to talk about. this is just plain sad !!!"
This is a serious issue. You want to know why? Because it has been proven multiple times that fiction DOES in fact affect reality. This is a very serious issue. The Total Drama Fandom has a lot of kids in it. Total Drama is a show for children. Children can find your very public blog, see you talking on public about alenoah nsfw, and they will normalize it. You wanna know how I know this? Because I've experienced this myself! Children stumble upon things that they're not supposed to see! You are coming into a space that is filled with minors, because this is a TV show for CHILDREN, and you are talking about these minors characters in a way that is messed up. I am scared for the minors that will see your post.
"PLEASE. guys. please. grow up. im begging you to stop worrying about the imaginary rights of FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. genuinely. for you own mental health. please find real issues to worry about in life. have fun. stop torturing yourself with drama that doesnt matter. at all. youre going to make fandom an absolutely miserable place if all you do is scream and tantrum over what other people do with what are essentially TOYS"
I am worried about the the fucking children. About the VERY REAL children. And you know what? "Stop torturing yourself with drama that doesnt matter." Then why even address it in the first place? If it doesn't matter, why make a long angry post about it? Fandom is supposed to be a fun place. Fandom is supposed to be where you go and talk about your favorite show and post little things that you think about the media. Me "screaming" and throwing a "tantrum" is because you are coming into this space and making it a nasty place to be. Minors are not safe with you in the space.
"you do not care about morality you care about getting attention and feeling more powerful by bringing others down."
Here's my take. People have immoral thoughts about things. That's part of being human. But when you act on said thoughts, and post about it on the internet on your very public blog where everyone can see when they look you up, and you don't even have it tagged or anywhere stated on your blog that you don't want minors following, that's the part that I am shaming. There is something wrong with you for you to post something like that, and not even try to hide it from minor's eyes. I care about the people in this fandom. I am trying to keep people safe from people like you.
And now, the tags.
"I draw [noah] short because size difference is sexy and noah has short king energy."
Height headcanons are fine. But the fact that you are brining size difference into this? A kink? Yes, you are an adult, I'm a fucking adult. We have things that we are into, but you bringing it into this space where children are, that's where the problem is. You are not tagging it, you are posting it on your very popular and public account, where I do not doubt for a second that minors follow you.
"I want you to really self reflect on why your so quick to see a gay man and call him a predator"
I DIDNT EVEN FUCKING KNOW YOU WERE GAY.
I am gay myself. I am not calling your a predator for you being gay. I NEVER FUCKING SAID THAT. I am calling you a creep for fucking talking about alenoah nsfw! I am calling you a creep for drawing nsfw of minors! I am calling you a creep for drawing incest art! Using this "It's because I'm gay" defense, it doesn't fucking make sense! No where have I ever said you're weird because you're gay. You are a fucking creep for talking about alenoah like that.
I am begging everyone to unfollow, block, and get this person off the platform. They are not welcomed here.

Whenever I see a post while looking through the proship tag that says "Not proship, not an anti, but a secret third thing, a person with a job", or otherwise talks about how they thing the debate is stupid and "chronically online" when there are "real problems" in the world. It's so often just a block on sight.
We know it's stupid, that's why it's so important to us. Right now people are fighting against the censorship of queer media, plus the demonizing of consensual self exploration that isn't considered "normal". Do these people think that the struggle will stop and conclude peacefully if we try to compromise?
"This media that focuses on socially deviant topics (queer people/drag/kink) is important and should be allowed to exist with fair and proper maturity ratings that aren't held to a double standard for being 'taboo', allowing people to determine for themselves if this is a topic they wish to engage with. But this media that focuses on socially deviant topics (underage/incest/any abuse with an unreliable narrator pov) is evil, and will corrupt your children by merely existing. So it's alright to not allow anyone, not even adults, access to this material, or even the resources to create said fiction, because we know what topics they are mentally equipped to engage with better than they do."
The people censoring queer media don't give a fuck if you present yourself as 'morally' pure and good by trying to seem separated and 'better' than the evil enemy they're 'actually' against. They just see you're against 'evil deviancy', and view that as reasoning as to why queer media counts as 'evil' and should be banned. So unless people stop fighting with hypocrisy, we'll get nowhere.
All this anti-ship stuff started with fandom, but continued to gain traction and now runs rampant. Thanks to it, purity culture has been more severe than it ever has been, and even if someone has never heard the word proship in their life, they HAVE had experience with anti ideology and behavior. And if you want to fix this shit, you have to start at the roots.
I am proship because I DO have a life/touch grass/have a full time occupation/whatever you want to call it, and I'm sick and tired of slowly losing the freedom of expression as the rest of the world fights about what kind of media I'M allowed to enjoy. And that's not stupid or insignificant.

a few points ...
1. 'poor things' is only "a porno" if your own patriarchal gaze inhibits and degrades her down to a sex object. bella views all experiences in her life as holding equal weight in that they are informative to her, whether good or bad, and she has an insatiable desire for knowledge. "if i know the world, i can improve it."
2. bella would fiercely resist her story being depicted in a way that censors anything as to her and any person who has the capacity to see her AS a person, sex is a part of her life, she has no shame about it, and would want it all shown honestly. you see, this film isn't told how you want it told, which is likely unfairly biased by social onuses. it's told how bella would want it told as telling a story about a woman in a way that ensnares her in the very confines she spends the entire time resisting wouldn't be very liberating, now would it?
3. the pearl clutching with the nudity is inherently sexist because you are blaming a woman- fictional and her real life counterpart, whose role and agency as a producer you insidiously deny- for a man's putrid views. you really think men (or anyone who harbors patriarchal views) viewing women as objects is going to change if they have clothing on or not? it's victim blaming.
i always am disheartened when i hear emma and yorgos, in poor things promotional content, talk about how society is a nasty place but they're hopeful the world is ready to see bella's story. unfortunately, it seems many weren't, but it was never about you, anyway. it was about removing the unjust societal conditioning that holds us- not just as women but as people- prisoner and allowing a woman to experience life on her own terms. i'd suggest asking yourself why this bothers you so much, if applicable. it would seem a little introspection could do you good.
it should be the goal of all to improve, progress, grow. perhaps the film can serve as impetus to those who desperately need to with regard to their own biases.

Second part to this fic.
A/N: This is from Bucky’s POV and takes place in the 1940s while Bucky is at war. Written in the form of V-Mail letters from Bucky to Steve. He wants to tell his best friend about meeting Sam and being smitten, but V-Mail was read and censored by military postal workers. Bucky could be dishonourably discharged and receive a court martial for being homosexual in the army. LGBT+ soldiers were given ‘blue tickets’ to discharge them from service because their ‘character was deemed undesirable’ — around 9,000 soldiers received a blue discharge during war times in the 40s. I hope this gives context to his correspondence. Thanks so much for continuing this journey with me. Enjoy!
Dear Steve,
They said these letters would get to their destination quicker and without much fuss. Better than regular old mail. I hope this finds you well. Hope you’re keeping out of trouble. It’s cold over here, but I don’t want to waste time talking about the weather. Stevie, I’m smitten, Pal. Just my luck to meet the sweetest Buttercup before I had to ship out. My Sweetheart has the prettiest brown eyes I ever did see, and a smile that’s as bright as the sun. Why can’t this world be a better place? Why can’t me and my Sweetheart settle down somewhere and live a nice life? I know there’s a war to be won, and things ain’t as simple as I would like them to be, but sometimes I just want something for myself. Sorry for going on and on. I’m maybe a little homesick. I wish you got to meet my Sweetheart before I left. You two would get on real swell. I miss you, buddy. Take care of yourself.
Yours truly,
J B Barnes.
Dear Steve,
I hope this letter finds you well and happy. Thank you for sending a letter back. I hope you had a nice time at dinner with my folks. My Ma sure does love feeding you. Thinks you’re too skinny, and I think she might be right.
We’re shipping out to the front in Italy tomorrow. My Ma is worried, and she has every right to be. From what the other fellows have said, we’re likely to see combat action real soon. Truth be told, I will be happy to join the fight. As you know, I’m not good sitting on my hands.
How is it being the most eligible bachelor in New York, New York? I bet the dames are lined up around the block for you. Just be yourself, Pal. You will find that special someone. I’m lucky to have found my Buttercup. Wish I had an address to write my Sweetheart. I only know the name of the locality: Delacroix, Louisiana. V-Mail must reach down South. All of the Southern boys are writing to their loved ones. I should at least try, don’t you think? I’m endlessly charmed by a Southern Beauty. Like I said before, Buddy: I am smitten. You will grow tired of my ramblings I’m sure.
Take good care of yourself. I’ll write again when we arrive.
Your Pal,
J B Barnes.
Dear Steve,
Thank you for the drawing pencils. I’ve been using them while waiting for directives. I’m sorry for not writing sooner. Camp life is tough. Feels like the rain ain’t stopped since we put boots on the ground. Some of the fellows in the 107th have fought some skirmishes, I am still waiting to see action. I know you said you found a way to be of service, I just want you to promise me you will be smart about it. Every little bit helps our cause, I just want you to be safe. I am proud of you no matter what you do. You have a good heart, my friend.
I appreciate your encouragement. I thought about writing my Buttercup, but I don’t think that would be a good idea. Different sensibilities down South, you see. My Sweetheart’s folks probably would not appreciate letters from a sergeant in our armed forces sending unsolicited letters to their unwed offspring. It is a different world in the Southern states I’ve been told, and I don’t want to cause my Sweetheart any grief. Dreams of pretty brown eyes and sunshine smiles will have to sustain me for now. At least I can write you and go on and on about my heart’s yearnings for a certain Southern Beauty. You are a good friend to me, Stevie. Thank you for never judging me. I will write again soon. Give my Ma a cuddle from me when you see her next.
Your friend and brother,
J B Barnes
Dear Steve,
Thank you for TWO letters and drawings. Your comic renditions made me smile. I’m sorry for the long wait in between letters. I have finally seen combat action. I am well. Did not get hurt. My Ma was so worried. Rebecca wrote me as well. All of your letters make me less homesick. It’s a different world over here, but I will not waste time retelling the horrors I’ve seen.
I hope your mission is going well. I am proud of you. I hope your date book is full and you are having a marvellous time.
My heart feels heavy. Would it be such a terrible thing for me to write my Sweetheart? Maybe my Sweetheart’s parents wouldn’t mind a soldier writing to their unwed s — child. I don’t want to cause a stir. I wish I at least had a photograph, though I probably don’t need one. My dreams are filled with brown eyes and high cheekbones. Pretty smiles and soft skin. You must think I’m a love struck fool, Stevie. HaHa! Maybe I am. But when two people have a connection like me and my Buttercup do, it reaches beyond the borders of nations. It stretches through time. I don’t have words to explain. Just know that your best friend is love sick and not any less of a man for admitting so.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to write again. Be sure to keep up with your medicines and treatments. Be safe and well.
Your Friend,
J B Barnes
P.S. Maybe when I return home, you might draw a rendition of my Sweetheart for me. I will pay you all of my hard earned money.
Dear Stevie,
I had to write this soon after my last letter, so you will probably get them around the same time.
I got new directives. We’re in the fight now. I just wanted to let you know not to worry too much about me if you don’t hear from me soon. I’ll be busy doing my part.
I won’t win the war until you get here, Pal. That’s a promise.
Signing off for now.
Your Brother in Arms,
Bucky Barnes

I just wanted to say that _Viiimii_ (that one person that called your art racist)made a Tumblr account just for apologize to you(the account is:@: Nett0rb1)
And I don't accept it.
Tumblr media
Look. I can see that you're all young and have the potential to mature and grow as people; I could forgive the initial video -- had it been taken down and I received a genuine apology.
But do you expect me to believe this apology is genuine -- never mind the lack of detail -- when Viimii had this to say before making that post?
Tumblr media
It's not genuine -- and you've made that clear: "And say to that goofy ahh of that artist to delete that post". You just want my post taken down.
"Goofy ahh of that artist". What was I being goofy for? For not tolerating false allegations of Sinophobia? For not tolerating actual Sinophobic and racist rhetoric against me and other Chinese people who commented on their post? What did I do to be painted in this way? I was on a temporary hiatus until I received that ask. You all clearly don't care about the harm you've done -- because you insulted said people by also calling them "goofy ahh". I hope you realize most of those people commented under that TikTok in good faith -- believing that this was just a simple misunderstanding and you genuinely cared about Sinophobia.
You don't actually care about racism. You don't actually care about Sinophobia. You don't actually care about Chinese people. In fact, based on what I've been told about how you've treated them -- you don't even see us as human beings.
Because if you did, then you wouldn't be deleting their comments (most of them initially constructive and polite), you wouldn't be insulting them, and you wouldn't support your friends in thinking that bringing in irrelevant proship/antiship discourse justified speaking over actual Chinese people on Chinese issues. It really goes to show your priorities: that interpretations of fiction matter more than real Chinese people -- real human beings.
Tumblr media
(censored because unfortunately despite what i'm about to say, I know this discourse is extremely volatile -- even more so than actual topics regarding real life)
We're nothing but an abstraction to you. Just something to be consumed, to be adorned, to be observed, and to be discredited when we don't fit your narrative of us. If you didn't see us this way, you wouldn't have been so quick to dismiss every criticism from a Chinese person as a racefaker.
As I quote this very concise summary of Said's Orientalism by Elif Harris:
"The very purpose of Orientalism is to take control of the Orient and take away from it any ability to speak for itself."
I can't forgive you for this alone -- this goes beyond me. You need to apologize to every single person whose comment you deleted, you dismissed and insulted; and more importantly -- you need to reflect on yourself. Because not only have you perpetuated a racist rhetoric, you have also abused the term "Sinophobia" disingenuously. I don't know why you would use such a loaded term that describes the dehumanization of a group of people just to express a personal preference:
Tumblr media
And frankly, you didn't even use the term correctly -- Sinophobia is specific to China. What you described in your initial video was anti-ESEA sentiment; and while that often overlaps with Sinophobia, your lack of specificity of describing things specific to China and Chinese people shows a failure in understanding what such a loaded term means.
Do not co-opt a serious topic just for personal squicks ever again.
Take this as a learning experience. Your actions speak far more than your words do.
Have a good rest of the day.

Just messing with an Incorrect Quote Generator
Swear words are censored.
Uzi: I feel like V is looking down on me. N: That’s because they’re on the counter and you’re short.
Uzi: Guys it’s a shooting star, let’s make a wish! N: I wish for good grades. V: Nerd. N: Nevermind, I wish upon the shooting star to fall down at a 30° velocity aiming for V. :) Uzi: N…
N: When I was a kid, Uzi told me that the paper strip that’s in the chocolate kisses were edible and I ate them with the chocolate for a year. V: They are! N: FOR REAL? V: No! Why did you fall for it again?
V: I’ve never asked someone out. How do you even do it? N: Oh, what I do is, I look them up and down and I say: “Hey… how you doin’?” Uzi, scoffing: Oh, please. N, to Uzi: Hey, how you doin’? Uzi: Uzi: giggles and blushes
Murderer: Any last words? N: Do you think I'm cute? Be honest.
Uzi: Damn, the power went out. V: Don’t worry, I got this. V: shakes rapidly and starts to light up Uzi: What-? V: I swallowed a glow stick! Uzi, on the verge of tears: WHY WOULD YOU-
Uzi, to V: If you can ever manage to get over yourself, I would highly recommend being me.
V: You know, studies show that keeping a ladder in the house is more dangerous than a loaded gun. V: That's why I own TEN guns. V: Just in case some maniac tries to sneak in with a ladder.
V: I have lots of friends! Uzi: Name one. V: Well, there’s- Uzi: Name one you haven’t gotten incredibly angry at. V: Hey, that’s not fair, then there isn’t any!
N, dashing into the room: WHY AREN’T THE DISHES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER?! V: …What does that even mean?!
N: Uzi, I… N: I love you! Uzi: Not my problem.
Uzi: You’re starting to look like me more and more every day— V: Bursts into tears Uzi: Why are you crying? V: You’re ugly! I don’t want to look like you! sobs
the Squad cleaning up Uzi: Pick up the nearest piece of trash and throw it away. V, to N: Aight, which bin do you wanna go in—
Uzi is casually searching around the room V: Hey Uzi, what’re you looking for? Uzi: My will to live. N walks into the room Uzi: Oh, there it is.
N: I made this friendship bracelet for you. Uzi: You know, I’m not really a jewelry person. N: You don’t have to wear… Uzi: No, I’m gonna wear it forever. Back off.
N, looking at their reflection: Now, that's rubbish. Who's that supposed to be? Uzi: Well, that's you. N: Me?! Is that what I look like? Uzi: You don't know? N: Busy day.
Uzi: You are an absolute f-ing dork. N, singing: Yeah, but I'm your dork! Uzi: sighs Yeah, you're my dork.
N: I knew this day would come… I saw it on the calendar.
V: N, you need to calm down. N, slamming their fists on the table: BUT HOW CAN IT BE "BIRTHDAY CAKE" FLAVOR IF A BIRTHDAY CAKE CAN BE ANY FLAVOR?!
V: I didn’t want to do it, no one else wanted to do it, so I made Uzi do it!
V: So, Uzi is no longer allowed to take the trash out at night. N: Why? V: Because I've caught them trying to train raccoons to fight five times in a row. Uzi, arms crossed and pouting: You'll be thanking me when the third raccoon battalion saves your as-.
Uzi: I know how this must look but I can assure you we have a perfectly logical explanation. N: Yeah! We’re cowards!
N, jumping out of V's closet: BOO! V: N: V: N: makes a sad face V: Ahh! Oh my god! You scared me!
V: N- N: sighs Uzi used to call me N… V: …Because it's your f-ing name.
Uzi: Life could be worse, N. N: Life could be a lot better too!
N: I can't imagine what Uzi is planning. But I can tell you two things. We won't like it and it won't be legal.

I feel a little bad for asking but what is proshipping? I know it's apparently in a lot of fandoms but that's about it
Well. Proshipping is about being free to ship whatever you want in fiction, even the ones that are weird or gruesome, And this is tied to the pro-fiction/anti- censorship community. a community that defends the ideal that fiction doesn't have that enough Power to influence us to do crimes or weird stuff to real people.
Just because you enjoy playing a game about killing people doesn't mean you acctually want to kill real people right? Wich means that this works for every type of weird stuff in fiction, even incest, necro, pedo and any other terrible thing you can imagine
It wan'st a separeted community before but recently (since 2018 i guess?) people started to have a lot of moral panic over fiction on the internet, proshippers, or people who just dont believe that fiction has influence on the real life in general had to separate or hid themselfs from the rest of the internet.
And sadly, because of that separation we suffer a lot of violent harassment from the so called "normal people" (Srs, we get told to kill yourselfs and get harassed out of plataforms multiple times)
And why do proshippers enjoy fiction is such "weird way" you ask?
First of all; Its fiction, Its not hurting anyone.
Second; theres multiple proofs explaining that people have been enjoying fucked fiction stuff thousands of years ago, specially women and queer people, plus a lot of professional researchs say that enjoying weird fiction and kinks is acctually very healthy.
Third of all; trying to censor and say what people should or not do with fiction is dumb and stupid, you cant censor art without using facist-religous arguments
So basically: we Just want to be free to enjoy fiction, fantasy and kinks freely, NONE OF US think that those things are ok in real life. Some kinky fantasy stuff is not comparable to a real person getting hurt and never will be, and people who think like that are really insensivite and chronically online

I've been rereading from the start for the 28th time and was thinking about the first chapter Namari appears and how strong it is...
We don't know anything about her before now but this exchange she has with Laios is really engaging and tells us a lot about her place in the party and her personality. She and Laios have a shared obsessive fussiness about their particular passions that comes across as really overbearing and offputting to other people... We see throughout the series and in the daydream hour omake chapters that prior to chapter 1 Laios had been hiding his interest in monsters from everyone for a Long Time. He sits on his feelings about things and is a terrible communicator because he's afraid to open his mouth and be completely ostracized by everyone around him, based on his experiences growing up. His silence and passivity usually turns into him being exploited by others (we never learn the exact reason for his desertion but we do know that the caravan he used to work for seemed to treat him especially poorly before Falin showed up.)
Namari, on the other hand, is a huge bitch. She's extremely vocal and opinionated about things and is fearlessly insistent and unashamed of it... Laios sees this part of her and where it comes from and he respects her for it, probably because he looks up to her lack of a filter. The 'undiagnosed autistic person being ruled by shame and self-censoring by just never raising their voice' is a real and common phenomenon and we see it a lot in Laios. His line at the end of the page here and his willingness to face the brunt of her criticism shows how much he appreciates her.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile when she listens to Laios and Senshi talk about how to prepare tentacles and sees him expressing himself unfiltered her expression is just raw shame and dread... In the context of the chapter there's definitely the practical element of "oh my god, he's eating the monster that killed Kiki" but the expressiveness in Kui's art conveys a really particular mix of emotions to me and I can only see it as a kind of projected anxiety towards Laios. It's compromising for her; She cares a lot more than she lets on about the Touden party and Laios himself. There's a sense of responsibility for enabling him and a sense of protectiveness, like 'if anyone else finds out what you're doing they're going to treat you worse than you can imagine!' But I think more than anything she's afraid for herself. Namari is a Dwarf's Dwarf. She was exiled because of something her father did and it's haunted her her entire life... Being closely associated with Laios and the rest of the party would mean not only is she associated with a criminal, she's also involved with the psychos who've been eating monsters. That's on top of the fact that seeing someone she cares about behave the same way that she does without any of the defensive reflexes she falls back on to shield herself makes her scared! You can't just be yourself in front of others like that, because they'll always see the worst in you and run with it. She also seems to struggle with her own feelings towards the party, considering how she's not shy about letting other people know she thinks Laios is weird in contrast to how she can't abandon him or the others when they need her... It's great character writing.
Tumblr media
There's a brief exchange near the end of the chapter/beginning of the next where she talks about the importance of an adventurer's reputation... Other peoples opinions of her matter a Lot, and reasonably so! She's had an unbelievably hard time of it, being exiled from a culture built around extremely close-knit communities and networks of support for something she didn't do... I think it makes complete sense why her motivations seem completely self-interested on the surface, and it's because she needs to find her people. For as shitty as Mr. Tansu can treat her (the human shield thing is bananas; you get the sense that he wouldn't be doing it if he didn't know he could just revive her after), they're also a really close adoptive family, and they all seem to love her a lot (the twins in particular, for obvious reasons). Wanting to be a part of that makes so much sense for her. I love how dense this chapter is looking back with the full context of the series as a whole... As much as I wish she'd had more scenes with everyone, I'm really happy with what we got anyway. Namari leaves such a strong impression in spite how infrequently she shows up... One of my favs for sure

stranger things spoilers (+like… non serious ‘ableists die’ comments, and discussion of su1c1de, and eugen1cs (censored for tumblr, jic))
-
manifesting death for everyone who says that they hope max dies so she doesn’t have to live as a disabled person. as someone who’s disabled due to a traumatic incident, 100%, max loosing her sight/potentially loosing limb mobility is a tragic thing, and will be very very very hard on max should she wake up. but like… saying that a girl who had been struggling with suicidal thoughts and was now finally wanting to live again would be happier dead than blind is fucked up.
honestly shit like that feels like it’s approaching eugenics with the whole “well personally i’d rather be dead than be disabled, and i think that being disabled is a curse which people should be freed from via death” vibe. again, suddenly being blinded/having any such change is an extremely upsetting experience, but if you think max would be better off dead so she wouldn’t be disabled, id rlly recommend taking a look at your views and checking for internalized ableism. (cuz some people genuinely don’t see an issue with this view! and that’s okay, i’m just saying…. check in with yourself, ask why you have that opinion. also, if you just straight up think life as a disabled person is worse than being Dead and unable to do Anything, maybe die then <3)
Edit:
Tumblr media
exactly!!!!! let max be disabled, let her be supported, let her have people in her life who care about her and are there for her!!! let her continue to have her passions and her personality- give her people in her life who will support her and help her continue to do what makes her happy, who will help make her interests more accessible. dustin’s smart as shit, let him work with max on her mobility aids. give lumax their movie date, let them fucking. rent a movie from blockbuster and have mike and will work to make it accessible, so max can learn what’s happening in real time and enjoy the movie with lucas. let el read comics to max like how max showed her comics back in season 3- let elmax continue to be close and show one another new things.
let there be change, change that takes the form of accessibility and accommodation, not max being miserable because there’s just 0 point to living now. let her be loved and supported by people in her life who care about helping max, but let her continue to be happy just to be alive, because being disabled =/= being miserable

A reminder to never listen to people who say things reminiscent of "We need more art and literature from lesbians!" They're going to be the first people to attack you if it's not about sex. If you're an actual lesbian and see the world for what it is, your art and literature is going to be very unique and unlike anything anybody has ever seen. The average "creative" has to brainstorm sit around and think of ways to innovate and push the envelope and all an actually unique person has to do be authentic for a few seconds and the world implodes. God is Art and since most people hate God, the masses will hate Real Art. They want fake, concealed and censored art so they can incorrectly interpret it with their decayed minds so that it validates their weak sense of self.
So create whatever you want and share it. You can't hide forever and society's structures won't keep you safe if you're a real minority. Everybody is in the closet because they're all scared to be honest. scurrying around and whispering about what they think, creating group chats and servers because they're all cowards who need permission to live. "People don't let us say this," "We have to go underground just to do this," no you don't, you're just a bitch and the only reason you feel that way is because you censor others. I don't censor anybody so I don't have the spirit of secrecy.
One day you're going to get tired of walking that thin tight rope which is why I emphasize that life as it is constructed is an illusion and everything you think you need to "live" is false. This is an extremely misogynistic society meaning women who have nothing to do with men nor women who are involved with men are the most hated people in society because they are closest to the truth. Nobody can empathize with your position except a few others because the majority depend on a lie to get through their depressed days.
Make what you want and be authentic so that more lesbians can do the same. Lesbians in 2024 are still worrying if it's just them and this has been going on for way too long. You didn't come here to be a slave like the rest and face it: people won't like you anyways. At least you'll find freedom in being yourself while people despise you. Being disliked in hell means you are eternally favored.
