The thoughts that invaded my head were all pretty much the same. If you have nice things people will love you, people will respect you, things equal status. Man was I wrong. It always amazes me how things shifted simply from becoming the observer. Simply by watching nature flourish from the little things. Imagine a life where you know regardless of anything you own you already have everything you need. To Live as a flower drinking in the essence of sunlight, and knowing that is enough. Life is all about balance we need things and that's okay, but when the shit you own begins to own you that is a problem. I've been praying for freedom. A little voice inside of me said. To gain freedom you have to let go of fear. I thought to myself well I'm not afraid of anything. Then it hit me. We all fear change, you have to become uncomfortable to get comfortable. It comes down to what am I bound to. What do I believe I own that actually owns me. I dream of living on natures time instead of man's. Waking up to the hum of nature, instead of the screech of an alarm, of being truly alive and in control of every aspect of my life. Materialism... let that go. I've always had a deep knowing that things weren't right. I didn't fit in, and I didn't care to. I didn't crave the attention. I craved peace and happiness. The forced interactions you can keep that. Uneceasarry worry about downsizing yourself to fit the mold. A waste of mental space and time. Simply to please others. It's sad that we have become so unconnected to self, we have forgotten to love ourselves even the parts we deam as bad. We have to gather all of those parts and love them. And release the self hate.
