I really dont want to put you in a box and say you have a boy/girl next door.... puppy beauty because i feel like it cant be defined by one thing ...i cant talk abt your hair or eyes or face i have to know other sides of you ,you are not just a pretty face you are wise and emotionally intelligent which others lack & its a damn big thing , you would never make fun of someone in the name of gossip with the knight of wands here you are good when others are good to you . you know your worth if someone's disrespecting you they would get a reality check you are not all flowers and tears im also getting you have kind of a bad rbf when you're mad its over its wrath otherwise you are sweet and look uninterested most of the times 🕴️you could not even fuck with a lot of people you're just your own person . Others love how you are thoughtful of little things they could feel you have a really positive influence on others people idealise you for your knowledge you dont have a one way response for a situation you will either make people understand rather to criticise or humiliate someone. Okay people are really emotionally drawn to you i'm getting you dont demand attention but you attract it people in this pile feels very invasive as well . With the knight of swords others feel overprotective of you they feel rejected i feel like you are over protective of your energy as well ,you have good sense of boundaries you might be a rebellious person but you dont come across as that you are seen in a carefree and sweet manner ,someone who's just content and is mostly busy with their own stuff they wont find you bitching abt others , you're focused on creating something also i feel like you dont go with the hype cause its useless you feel like energies are ever-changing what's trending now wont be trending later so its useless to buy stuff thats of no use . OMG!! thankies!! 💙❤️ I love writing ererei! Theres just something about two broken men finding each other and making it work that has a place in my heart tbh! And I really do think Eren would be Karina’s worst type of punishment 😭💖 She’d absolutely hate him but being the passive woman she is, would ‘tolerate’ him just for Reiner’s sake

for starters, eren would butt into every conversation uninvited 😭 would intentionally be crude enough to remind karina that he is in fact in sexual relations with her son!!! doesn’t fail to add that reiner occasionally receives either and karina has to physically remove herself from the room/conversation to stay sane sskdk

“reiner, you’ve got to be eating properly. you cant just have a plate full of meat and call it a meal! i dont care about no gym diet, just eat properly.”

karina eyes reiner’s fixed plate with a face of concern. the blonde man only has time to look down at his plate with a pout before hes being spoken for. eren is quick to pop his head around reiner’s build to watch karina in her two eyes.

and karina absolutely hates how shes being spoken to because its almost as if eren is indirecting, insulting, her ways.

“im his mother and have been feeding him for a fine majority of his life.” karina gestures to her son’s tall and buff build. “don’t i have a right to be concerned that he’s suddenly not eating balanced meals!?”

reiner can only mutter a soft ‘ma…’ in embarrassment because he’s not sure that her exposing that he’s never fixed his own plate a day in his life is not looking good on him right now. either way, eren doesn’t care. his face scrunches up as he looks karina up and down, ready to stand up to her.

“okay and im his partner who lives with him, cooks most of his meals and usually has him hands on knees begging for me to go deeper. and look at him — fine!”

reiner now looks to eren with a gasp, a scandalous ‘r-ren?!’ leaving his mouth as karina can only look on in shock. clearly eren isn’t too phased and only pushes reiner along so that he can go and eat his food.

“in this instance, i dont think your parent status matters so keep it to yourself next time.” he mutters in karina’s direction, and the woman is simply too stunned to speak.

despite karina not necessarily approving of their relationship, she still very much loves reiner so she tries to be as understanding with him as she can but its every hard with someone like eren who actively wants to make her life difficult. very much lacks manners for his elders

“oh you two look very dashing in those! stand together so i can take a picture!”

karina smiles wryly, her phone already raised in hand as she moves her other one to signal them to stand closer. both reiner and eren move on her demand, fixing their paper crowns so that they look presentable.

“okay lets take one!” she quips

just as shes about to take the photo, the boys start shuffling around

“reiner, grab my ass for this.”

“like this?”

“yeah, that’s it, like that.”

karina moves her head pass her phone screen to glance over at the two. with a frown, she watches as eren has his body pressed against reiner, but makes sure that his hand was taking a handfull of his ass which was now the main focus of the picture.

“uh… lets do a family friendly one first! we can… do a funny one afterwards.” she tries.

giving her a raised eyebrow, eren pretends to be taken aback.

“you think this isn’t family friendly, karina? you think its funny?”

the woman stutters for words. she doesn’t want to be crude but this isn’t exactly a picture she’d be okay sharing with her sister and niece.

“i…well-“ she tries.

“coz i dunno. if i didn’t know any better, id think you were kinda coming across a bit homopho—“

“his hand is literally on your ass! rei— reiner get your hands off his ass!” she practically squeals and reiner fumbles around due to no longer being able to play a passive role.

he doesn’t even know where to put his hands and so karina guides for him.

most of all, eren is the best punishment for karina as a son-in-law because shes no longer the most avid voice in reiners life. with other relationships, he would have still listened to his mother’s advice over his partners but since eren came along, she practically has no more influence with reiner’s choices

“i don’t think you should take it on. especially since you’ve got a lot on your plate recently and you’re still adjusting to your new role at work. maybe another time.”

reiner hums as he looks over the volunteer chick feeder opportunity that flashes on his phone. he’s always wanted to feed small baby animals, he thinks, but he just didn’t have the time to do that. either way the offer just looks so tantalising.

“but theyre so cute…” he pouts, his eyes sparkly as he looks onto the shutterstock photos of yellow baby chicks being fed.

“i know they are, darling.” karina stresses. “but you just dont have the capacity to do that right now.”

she wasnt even focusing on the conversation. she didnt think she’d have to say or do anything drastic for reiner not to take the job on. it seemed pretty self explanatory.

“yeah…yeah you’ve got a point.” he mumbles.

this however also seemed to be the wrong time that eren happened to walk in and glance over his lover’s shoulder. within three seconds, he’s gasping with a soft sigh.

“omg is that a chick feeding opportunity?!”

reiner enthusiastically nods as he looks back at eren with wide eyes.

“yeah! it just opened up 12 miles away and i was wondering if i should give it a go…”

karina looks over at reiner with a credulous look.

“12 miles?! for a voluntary job? reiner, i dont think thats—“

“reiner this has literally been your dream for the past 2 weeks. fuck work, you never know if tomorrows your last day. go for it!” eren butts in.

karina looks between the two with a face of confusion because this had to be a joke they were playing on her, surely. yet, as reiner looked back down at his phone and the badly designed flashing ad looked back at him, he couldn’t help but press apply button.

“yeah. yeah you’re right eren. i never know what tomorrow might bring.” he coos, and karina cant help but cover her face in agony.

I am androgynous-looking, can easily be mistaken for a dude. My voice is deep and had a slight rasp to it. When it comes to clothes I present soft masc. I am 6', very athletic (as it is a big part of my life to stay active). I have brown eyes and wavy hair that is styled in a short wolfcut with a middle part and curtain bangs. No tattoos, but when I have the money I will get covered in designs.

I perceive myself as a calm and collected person who is more on the quiet and observing side. Which, close ones always tell me, makes me appear intimidating and judging (Scorpio rising). I like to keep my social circle small and trustworthy because I have trust issues. But around my friends I am friendly and always there to help out with the teenage dramas. I would say my top traits are sarcasm, assertiveness, loyalty, and adaptiveness. (Being an ENTJ and Virgo sun say enough about me, but I am softened up by my Libra moon.)

I am a very artsy person, but also very sporty. I am passionate about a lot of things (playing the guitar, drawing, writing, reading, acting, playing soccer, volleyball, training calisthenics, martial arts...) but in this short lifetime I had to choose one, and it is drawing - more specifically, becoming an Architect.

I've never been even close to catching feelings for someone. I've had barely any crushes, none of them real, none of them celebrities, just successful/badass/dangerous/mean women from fiction. I guess that puts me somewhere on the Asexuality spectrum, most likely Demisexual. I want to use my teenage years to work towards building a secure career for myself so that I could eventually spoil and take care of someone who deserves it.

I don't have much preference for looks, despite the fact that I am attracted to femininity, not necessarily someone stereotypically girly, but fem. For me, I need someone who will be able to match my energy and challenge me with playful banter and deep, meaningful talks. I used to be one of the ppl walking around not knowing about asexuality, that I was ace, until around my 30th birthday (in this decade) from a friend of nearly 20 years who'd go on to ghost me from then on. Took some time to heal from that, longer to be able to separate the word mentioned from the person who said it, to look into it and find that it fit me. I'll never know if that was a parting gift or a factor in why things ended. But at least I know who I am now. 1/2

Oh yeah I dont fault everyday people for not knowing about it. In casual conversations it still just... doesn't come up so much? I think a lot of it is because ace people aren't necessarily under so much pressure to come out (where if you're gay and you date and it gets serious you have to like, announce it eventually) like its easier to sort of hide and ignore to a point.

And partially because being ace isn't really taken seriously or is shrugged off as a disorder by a lot of folks still, even folks who are otherwise pretty progressive can be really ignorant or downright shitty about it for no reason. So the average person, who probably hasn't had a ton of in depth sex ed, could be forgiven for not knowing. Hell, sex ed is actively suppressed in a lot of places.

My issue stems from a mental health professional who is ostensibly LGBTQ friendly not being familiar with the term. Not even that she has a backwards view of it, but that she hasn't encountered the entry level terminology at all.

It's very concerning to me. It tells me that this individual is content to use the label of inclusivity but hasn't bothered doing much, if at all, actual research on the topic. I know from my own family that being a licensed medical doctor requires you to continue your education and stay abreast of new medical topics. I can only assume she focused more on the medication and chemical side of things but hasn't kept up with any journals or studies on human behavior, which to me is a big blank spot when I consider going to a mental health professional.

I can't trust her to know how to adequately treat me if she doesn't know what I even am.

1. Nobody else will go clubbing with Vegeta (Bulma is often busy or tired, and hes not on friendly terms with anybody else) and he needs to go out to show off his new fierce fit

2. Tarble wants to hang out with him and is pretty much down for anything. Hes not judgemental and doesnt really care where they go

3. Cheerleader effect, Vegeta will look taller in comparison

4. Bulma approves bc she doesnt necessarily want Vegeta to go alone but she doesnt want him to make clubbing friends with questionable constitutions, so this works out really nicely . Plus Tarble often brings his wife so it's just like a nice family event and Bulma thinks that that's good for Vegeta

5. Tarble actually has a tragic backstory in which when he came to earth for the first time he was all optimistic and made some earth friends with whom he could "taste the town" with, and they'd go out partying and stuff, but actually it was more like there was a group of wild frat boys and Tarble became their bitch boy who would clean up the messes and pay for the drinks and stuff. The last straw was when he woke up one morning and some classic frat boy pranks had been done onto him, which on one hand made him feel included, but on the other hand he DID feel like the teabagging had crossed a line. He shares this story at 4 am when hes at the bar with his wife and vegeta and he literally follows it up immediately with "but that's why I like going clubbing with you, you're trustworthy. I know that you would never teabag me, Vegeta-niisan."

And it's so completely infuriating like why would you fucking say that. It's infuriating for at least 4 distinct reasons but I'm not going to delineate them here becasue that would make the post too long. But one of them is that it's just so completely infuriating when Tarble says smth agreeable bc Vegeta hates agreeing with him and he hates the things that Tarble says in general and the way in which he phrases them and also his overall affect but he has to agree this time. So theres a really long pause and then a hard "Yeah." and he doesnt participate in the conversation again for a very long time . OR he says "I would kill you if only it wouldn't disappoint my wife so." OR maybe he just starts strangling him i dont know what's funniest at this time

6. Seriously that's what I mean when I say that Tarble is annoying . He'll just say things that sort of make you uncomfortable but hes being 100% earnest and it just makes you think hes pathetic or something. But hes completely confident hes not insecure anymore bc hes past that point in his life. Hes EARNED the right to be himself and if you're Vegeta that's SO annoying bc you DONT really approve of that self-love attitude and you feel like Tarble should try to be somebody else bc he sucks.

7. I love Tarble and I love Vegeta Fierce Fashion Friday and i want them to hang out so the natural conclusion is that they go clubbing together so that i can have the world . End post

Honestly I dont think we should accuse olivia without proof and if it was true Jason still stayed with her so he would be seen as a culprit as well right mod?

I'm assuming this is about the Harvey thing. I've addressed this before but I'll say it again.

No, we can't say for sure that Olivia knew what was going on. To me, it's obvious, but I'll never say she knew 100%.

The thing with Harvey is that you have to look at the picture as a whole and not just bits and pieces. Believe me - I don't want to think Olivia was an accomplice, nor do I want to think she was a victim. I can't stand her but I'll always stick up for other women when it comes to that. I wish she wasn't involved at all but she was, at least to some degree.

Olivia and Harvey were more than just work acquaintances. They seemed to be friends. They looked friendly at events; they hung out together; she sung his praises. There's proof for all of that online so that automatically means to me they were closer than the average Hollywood business relationship. I could almost look past all of that stuff since other actors and actresses were close with him too, but it's everything else that weirds me out and makes me think twice.

Olivia only spoke out about Harvey when it was "popular" to do, and even when she did she skirted around his situation and redirected the blame to all men. I understand how privileged white men of power should be called out but it should be a daily thing, not just a trend you participate in once or twice.

Olivia also has some questionable views that kind of disturb me. I think the most relevant one in this situation was when she defended her role in the movie Richard Jewell - she played Kathy Scruggs, a journalist who was accused of trading sex for information even though there was no real evidence for it. Olivia somehow made it about female stigma and how sex gets weird when it comes to female portrayal, which is true but not necessarily relevant in this situation. It wasn't "badass" what Kathy was accused of - it's heartbreaking if it is true. Her whole stance on that was off-putting to me and then after she got criticism for speaking out, she claimed her words were misconstrued and tried to take it back. However it's bullshit because if you disagree 1) why run your mouth? and 2) why take the role to begin with? Also I am just now realizing that this movie is one I have been DYING to see so that's upsetting. I'll let you know if I wind up watching it.

But yeah Olivia being name dropped is VERY telling to me. It's so random to not have any truth to it, and it suggests that at some point her and Harvey must have discussed sexual interests. And the accusations have been released as far back as 2015 and yet nothing ever happened? She never spoke up back then but when he was finally arrested she did?

So y'all can do with this information what you will. I can't say I'm 100% sure Olivia knew but I'll say I'm 98% sure she did. Idk if she'll get called to trial. Some people are so sure about it but I'll be shocked if she is.

more cuddle headcanons

everyone really liked the cuddle hcs for the main three bucket boys, (which is right here!!), and i wanted to try out some characters that i would like to write for in the future. this post is all star wars characters, i’ll make a different post later on with the pascal characters !!

i honestly think an argument can be made that cobb vanth is one of the most partner-material guys in the galaxy far far away. he’s very personable, he’s overall pretty warm - he’s an expert in affectionate, sweet shit. he’s always bringing up cuddling together or curling up in the corner of the cantina of Mos Pelgo, you’re not gonna have to strong arm him for love at all!

i think cobb likes to lay on you - like he’ll lay his head on your tummy or in your lap. play with his hair, scratch his head, maybe sing your marshal a little song !! i dont see him falling asleep, but if YOU’RE tired, he’ll absolutely do the same thing for you - you can lay on him, and he’ll sing little tune and you can drift off to sleep.

okay i- this is not necessarily sexual, but okay hear me out. i live somewhere super hot, and the best way to be is inside, in the dark, fan on high and as little clothes as possible. so i think for somewhere like mos pelgo, if he’s got some down time at home, he’s absolutely stripping down to as few layers as possible (if at all). so you know, dont be surprised if you’re hanging out at his place, and he walks around in like his (underwear), it’s just really hot and he has to wear a lot of layers, he’s sweating

this will be a short section just because she is not very cuddly at all, and in general, is pretty cold and icy. i don’t know if she doesn’t like affection and pda if she’s just not interested, or if she’s extremely defensive and really wants to push that she’s a stone cold badass and has no weaknesses.

if you manage to get bo to sort of slow down and relax, and she is in a relationship with you, she’ll show affection in like acts and services, specifically when it comes to your safety. like she’ll run extra patrols and will do everything in her power to make sure you are never in danger. the most cuddly she gets is when you sleep next to her every night, and even then you both have like Your Own Space when sleeping. listen, there’s probably a lot of depth in bo katan, and how much she’s lost (a lot of it sort of her own fault), and how much she wants to regain and take back, and the lengths she is willing to go to, and like listen we all have weak moments, like obviously she’s gonna wanna have your head in her lap SOMETIMES. but she’s also a top and SHe’s BuSY so you know.

FUCK YOU, I LIKE AXE. out of all three of the like Mandalore mandalorians, i think he’s the most like affectionate. i think once you win him over, and show you’re not gonna ghost him or like idk try to kill him, i think he’s pretty casual. you can lay on him, and he’s cool with laying on you. he’s not really embarrassed with pda - he’s not like Against it completely, but he likes a quick kiss here and there. very sweet boy, very kind and gentle, he will flirt with you even after you get together, like its a constant stream of like cheesy pick up lines and one liners, he’s very dorky. just a dumb nerd, why are y’all so MEAN to him smh embarrassing

koska…,..,.,..,.., what a WOMAN. i think she’s like halfway between axe and bo in terms of affection in a relationship. like i think you have to build up a lot of trust, and establish a like respect between the two of you, but like she has no problem with letting you lounge around and curl up with her. i also think she’s gonna be protective, but honestly that’s a mando thing. they care about the people who care about them. i don;t think she gives a single fuck, so if you want to makeout in public, or even just want to hold her hand because your nervous, she absolutely wil let you like she does not seem the kind to like deny/reject you, you know? anyways i am in love with koska, sasha banks i am free every day i love u queen we stan

fennec shand

the one the ONLY. the most exciting thing about fennec is that she literally doesn’t give a fuck, so pda?? yeah, if you like fennec’s hand on your waist and her tongue down your throat and don’t mind other people around, shes super down with giving you some love in public. that’s not to saw she’s down with like fucking in public or in front of people, shes just not ashamed of her relationship and cares more about you than what other people think of you two.

big spoon!! lay in her arms, let her cradle you and take care of you!! i think she also really enjoys you laying your head in her lap (i have another drabble about this here) but that way she can trace your face, or play with your hair if you like your hair played with, or even just kiss your nose.

you two normally lounge around in boba’s palace. there’s some sofas and lounge areas in the throne room that you two curl up on, but there’s a balcony on one of the upper levels that’s your favorite spot. you can lay next to her and enjoy her affections while the stars slowly drag themselves into the night sky. you’re away from prying eyes, and you can discuss your future with her and where you both might travel tom if you can sneak away for a few days. she’ll tell you all of the gossip of the crime world and all of the people boba and her have to sort through to establish the new king of the underbelly of the galaxy. its your and hers spot!! just a place to vibe and cuddle in peace.

fennec doesn’t really sleep. she’s a mapper, rather than her like conking out for nine hours at a time. she doesn’t mind if you like sleep, you can sleep on her anytime !! lay your head on her shoulder, or on her chest — she‘ll keep you safe while you drift off to sleep.

maul

maul is pretty grumpy, i have a cuddly drabble with him you can read here, but for the most part i think maul is the standard grumpy guy who doesn’t mind curling up with his s/o when they want to !! there are gonna be times where he’s not interested in touch or physical contact — maul has days that he needs space and time, whether he’s processing and meditating on past events, or if he’s just in need of maul-time. the best thing to do in those days is wait for him to sort of open the proverbial door to let you back in, or to wait until he crawls into your lap or into your bed to rest.

he normally won’t refuse affections, but i the mornings he wakes up and all he can think about is your skin against his, or how sweet your eyes are, he’s not letting you do ANYTHINg. he wants your head on his CHEST he wants you in his ARM you are CUDDLING RIGHT NOW

i don’t really see maul being a little spoon (yes i do, i’m pretty tall so everyone is a little spoon if you’re under 5’11) BUT i think maul likes to hold you against his chest, and to wrap his arms around you. theres a protective element too. everything has been taken from maul, and he likes knowing your safe in his arms. if u DO catch his being a little spoon, he’s gonna be grumpy and very snickety with you.

i don’t know how much you’’ be going out and about with maul, but pda just from a safety perspective is gonna be a soft know. if you’re in public with him, he’ll always be around you — maybe his hand will rest on your lower back or shoulder, or maybe a few of his fingers will curl around yours. just don’t expect to be making out in public, your relationship is taken very seriously by maul, and he’ll want to be careful and err on the side of caution.

maul likes it when you kiss him. he likes it when you pepper kisses all over his cheeks and along his jaw, he likes when you trace his marks and tattoos and place little kisses on his chest. something sweet and warm blooms in his chest when you reach over to pull his hand over so you can kiss his knuckles. its a gentle affection that no one has ever wanted to give maul. he sort of gives you the cold shoulder after the first few kisses, but he quickly is addicted with the unconditional love and attention and affection you give him.

obi wan

okay here me out, so jedis are not allowed like attachments, so i don’t thing like Legally Officially you can cuddle with obi wan oh no sad BUT. that is not to say, if maybe, idk, there’s only one seat left on the star destroyer home, or only one BED while you too are on a very important jedi MISSION, well i mean. it’s not obi wan’s fault if you two end up cursing up, right? i mean, it is a little chilly on this planet, so it’s smart to stay together. for warmth.

you’re gonna end up with your legs tangled, your arms around his neck, your hands tangled in his mullet — hes warmer than you expected, he radiates heat. maybe it’s how strong he is in the force, or if he’s just a warm body (or even if beneath the cool exterior, his blood runs hot) but you won’t need a ton of blankets if you have him.

big spoon, a lot of like Vanilla Top energy from him. like i think if you do end up spooning or fucking, it’s gonna be simple. kenobi’s knowledge of sex and relationships is going to be very limited, and his experience is gonna be pretty limited as well. he knows the like most Basic position, the most Basic way to get you both off. if you continue with your relationship and trust each other more, and you can teach him a few tricks, he’ll warm up to the idea of you being a big spoon and maybe even topping.

obviously no pda, but when you’re around him, his sort of Presence makes itself more known to you, like you Feel him more than you would other people, even if he’s a few rooms away, you Know he’s near by you. it’s nothing sharp or crazy explicit in terms of like I FEEL HIS AURA AND SHIT like it’s just something gentleman reassuring and it’s all Him. little moments with him — meeting his eye across the room, your hands bumping into his, his hands lingering on you when he passes for just a moment longer than they should — it’s all you have with obi, and you cherish them so deeply. obi wan is gonna think about your affection long after you leave him — it’s an emotional thing for him. it’s the one point of contact and affection, and as much as you think about obi wan and your little moments, obi wan thinks about them more.

Adrien is definitely gonna take Emilie’s place in a coma (A Theory)

Yeah so I mean the title of this is exactly what I’m pretty sure is gonna happen. This is because there has been a huge load of foreshadowing and some other subtler reasons I will be going over in this post. Of course, there’s always a chance it won’t happen, but if it didn’t I think I’d be pretty surprised considering just the amount of evidence thats going into this.

(Also sorry ahead of time for the structure of this, I tried to structure this based on my specific reasons for this theory but I kind of went off on tangents in some places and in others I use ideas that I assume come with the theory and don’t necessarily fit into any specific reason (like Emilie coming back to life and what would happen there, why Adrien and not Nathalie, and loosely how theyd get Adrien out of the coma), although I mosty stick to the structure I still want to add this disclaimer just so you’re aware that I wrote this in one go at midnight (also wait right now its 12:10am it is now ten minutes into my birthday??? ok ignoring that))

I dont know man. Just consider what I have to say. Or dont. I will be listing my reasons starting now.

1. Imagery of Adrien being in comatose state/ in a coffin-like thing.

This is surprisingly common??? Off the top of my head I can think of Style Queen and Riposte (I believe) which involve this. In Style Queen, Audrey in the form of her akumatized self had essentially kidnapped Adrien and put him in this gold/glass coffin thing that disintegrated the longer it remained untouched. The other one is Riposte, where Ladybug hides Adrien in that big sarcophogus in the Louvre (he didn’t stay in it but still the imagery is there.)

I also just remembered in Chameleon when Lila took Adrien’s form he was asleep/in a comatose state in that locker and Plagg was like “aw man am I gonna have to kiss him.....” but then Adrien wakes up because Lila stole someone else’s form

EDIT: another instance of Adrien/Chat Noir being shoved into a sarcophagus (besides Riposte) is in Pharaoh in season 1

So yes there is definitely a good number of foreshadowing for this. I might take this further and say if Adrien were to go comatose and be in the coffin Emilie was in then Felix might replace him for some amount of time?? Like impersonate him amd stuff?? Just because there’s lots of stuff in the show with impersonation I feel like it could work aNYWAY BACK TO THE EVIDENCE I KNOW ITS A TANGENT

2. Possible evidence foreshadowing Emilie *inadvertantly* killing (not killing but making comatose you get it) Adrien

This one is not as strong as the first but its worth considering. I was googling the word “mayura” just out of curiosity a while back and basically its a peacock in Hindu stories (like peacocks are a kinda revered animal) and I just initially found a couple websites that said that the mayura has been depicted eating a snake as a symbol of the cycle of time (you dont have to read this part in parenthesis, its just kind of a tangent: the cycle of time as known in Hinduism is another aspect of Hinduism directly referenced in the show: the horse/space miraculous kwami Kaalki’s name is a reference to the prophecied tenth avatar/reincarnation of the god Vishnu, and he is referenced in the Kalachakra tantra which is basically a Hindu book about the cycle of time. Keep in mind I got all this from wikipedia and other internet websites, I do not practice Hinduism and I dont directly know anybody who does, so if any of this is wrong pls lmk because there is surprisingly not a lot of information on the internet about it from what I could tell)

So anyways yes peacock (mayura) eating snake representing the cycle of time. Both Luka and Adrien are represented in the show as the snake, but ultimately I think the snake here represents Adrien just because it makes more sense (Snake Noir, future Alix’s tattoo depicts a snake to be Adrien and is meant to represent Adrinette, Adrien just has some shifty stuff going on with the snake in general etc) and thus, if Gabriel manages to actually get the ladybug and black cat miraculouses and make the wish to bring Emilie to life, then this “mayura” analogy (assuming Emilie as the mayura in this scenario) would make sense if her life brought upon Adrien losing his.

The reason I dont think it would refer to Nathalie even though her official name is Mayura is for pretty much two sub-reasons. The first is that I think she is going to die before this wish happens. I know, its a kids show, whatever, but consider it. The Agreste/Graham de Vanily family has a trend of having opposite names [I am so sorry I literally first heard this from a tumblr user but I cannot remember who I just remember they had made a string of theories on why Emilie Agreste will not be who she seems to be so credit to them I did not discover that] for example the name Gabriel means hero/angel, Felix means happy/fortunate, Adrien means dark, etc, and Nathalie Sancoeur means “birthday (of Christ)” and “heartless” respectively. We already know she is not heartless but rather full of heart because she has fallen in love with Gabriel. So then,,,,,,,,,, the opposite of birth is death. She’s already shown to be pretty sick too despite the peacock miraculous having been “fixed” (as of the New York special being the most recent piece of content). I’m sorry guys I do not make the rules

The second part of why I think this is a little stupid but. The original art released by Jeremy Zag for Mayura does not look like Nathalie. Plus this art was only released under the name of “the Peacock” (originally Le Paon in French) so it might not actually be the Mayura we know as of now. Now, theoretically, it could be that they had made this art before they knew they wanted Nathalie to be Mayura or just as art depicting what Emilie would have been like as the peacock miraculous holder, and it could literally just be Nathalie. When you compare the images, though, the original Mayura art looks far more like Emilie and a lot less like Nathalie. Yes I am aware this is stupid just know this is only a minor point

I dont know man those faces do not look the same to me and the original Mayura definitely had Emilie’s eye shape and face shape in mind. They might’ve changed it after making the concept art but my point still stands

Ok next reasoning

Again not a very strong point but sometimes dialogue just implies things in Miraculous and I can think of a very specific quote that would fit this happening, and there are probably more that I just dont know to look for since I dont have this whole show memorized

So the quote is from Startrain after Gabriel loses control of the akuma then learns about the Startrain having been akumatized with Adrien on board, and he says “hoping that my enemies will save my son..... how ironic.” When I first heard this quote I really, really felt like it was foreshadowing something just based on his tone and the way this new idea was being introduced of him having to be on the same side as Ladynug and Chat Noir for once, even if it was just temporary. This quote absolutely is indicative to me of a future event in which he’ll have to work with his “enemies” to save his son. A situation in which Adrien is in comatose would perfectly align with this. At least for how I would predict the show would make it, Gabriel would have to turn away from Emilie (who represents the past for him, and this action would therefore represent moving on) and join forces with Ladybug/Marinette, his “enemy”, to save Adrien.

Onto the last reason!

Emilie is probably definitely coming back. Which means someone’s going into a coma in her place.

I mean come on it would be so anticlimactic if they just caught Gabe before he fulfilled his wish. Plus with the way they are outlining Emilie to be this perfect golden being is definitely because its going to far contrast with how she will actually turn out. This doesnt really support the Adrien thing in particular but honestly it would also be anticlimactic of the coma was for anyone else. If it was Nathalie, then yeah itd suck for Adrien I guess but like???? Doesn’t really connect the plots as much. Whereas if its Adrien, that brings Marinette into it, that gives her a powerful as heck conflict. Im guessing they would also somehow resolve his coma with “the power of love” mentioned in the theme song, just because of the foreshadowing with like waking someone up with a true love’s kiss (think Plagg in Chameleon, I guess the rose in Style Queen, maybe Alya’s story to Manom in Stormy Weather if we’re strecthing it....)

TL;DR: Adrien is probably gonna go comatose (like Emilie did) at some point because its been pretty foreshadowed (think Style Queen, Riposte, and even Chameleon), because of the legend surrounding the Hindu “mayura” peacock eating a snake representing time (wow that was not a sentence ok then), because Gabriel has previously foreshadowed having to work with his enemies to save his son, and also just because it would be super awesome and allow each character involved to have a pretty fulfilling conflict and arc.

In lieu of writing my fic, I researched by rereading Eridan and Feferi’s bits of hivebent and took notes. Here’s what I got on Eridan.

In Hivebent, we see Eridan interact directly with three people, Kanaya, Feferi, and Gamzee. However, his conversation with Gamzee is incidental; he is trying to talk to Karkat. When Feferi breaks up with him, Eridan's first move is to try to reach Karkat for comfort. In his interactions with both Kanaya and Feferi, the fact Karkat and Eridan talk often is brought up.

In his conversation with Kanaya, he says:

In his first conversation with Feferi, she says:

You know, I'm not sure w)(y we never talk about our romantic aspirations... Probably because you fill your gossip quota wit)( your nubby )(orned bro. / You leave not)(ing left to talk about wit)( your dear sweet moirail! / We are supposed to )(elp eac)( ot)(er wit)( t)(at stuff too, remember.

To which he replies: “maybe / seems kinda / odd though”

Together this is the strongest evidence of a positive relationship that Eridan has, outside of his unhealthy romance with Feferi. It seems like Karkat is Eridan's best friend. It's even pretty easy to read their relationship as being pale; Feferi comments suggest that Eridan may be more intimate with Karkat than with her. Despite this, he still refers to him as an 'assblood' to Kanaya, a really bizarre insult which feels almost half-assed (lol). It feels almost performative, like a lot of Eridan's behavior (put a in that, we'll come back to it later).

Speaking of his conversation with Kanaya, The way he talks with her suggests a certain degree of familiarity. Not that the relationship is necessarily viewed as positive by both parties, but I think it Eridan at least feels friendly toward her. After Kanaya asks why she would help him with his genocidal fantasies, he says:

wwell / im not goin to vvery wwell kill you am i that wwould be fuckin unconscionable / wwhat kind of friend wwould i be

Now, that line has a lot of cruel irony on it given the events of A5A2, but I read it as genuine. Eridan's whole kill all the landdwellers thing is extremely half-assed, and possibly, primarily an extension of the way he constructs a persona of a powerful highblooded military leader. Pretty soon after that line Kanaya says: “And I Agree The Fate Of The Race Is Important But Its In My Hands Now / All Of Ours Really” To which Eridan replies: "huh / wwell ok," and when Kanaya acts surprised that he takes her word for it, he says

ordinarily id call bullshit on terrible stinkin bs like that but i knoww you dont really lie about stuff / unless its to yourself / but thats wwhy i bother evven talking to you i wwouldnt evven be here SAYIN any of this otherwwise

Eridan trusts Kanaya quite a lot, here. Almost every other interaction between trolls in Hivebent expresses more doubt than this. So while Kanaya is probably pretty exasperated by Eridan's shit, Eridan sees her as a friend, possibly more than he does most other trolls. Even that line he drops at the end, the “it’s hard and no one understands” bit, that sort of thing is something I don’t think casual acquaintances usually say to each other.

His conversation with Gamzee is kind of interesting, because he clearly wants to cry to Karkat about his problems, but when he hears that Sollux is dead he acts very civil and only dips into the dramatic self pity a little after he realizes he won't get to talk to Karkat, when Gamzee asks "ArE YoU SuRe i cAn't hElP A bRoThEr Up iNtO HiS MoThErFuCkIn cHiLl?"

i dont knoww / it probably doesnt matter / my feelins seem petty and meaninless noww / she had better things to wworry about than my ovverwwrought bullshit / like the dead guy wwho savved her / so forget it thanks anywway

We don't really have a lot of background on what Eridan is like with the others at this point, and with Gamzee being only one rung down from Eridan it seems a little tenuous to assume he's that civil with everyone, but he can at times recognize when he's being ovverwwrought and dial it back.

The interesting thing about all this is how small Eridan's confirmed circle is. Vriska's his ex-kismesis, Feferi's his ex-moirail, Karkat and Kanaya are his friends, and he doesn't like Sollux. How much does he interact with anyone else?

Boyfriend Headcanons

Includes: Sakusa, Komori, Shirabu, Atsumu

Warnings: none - just pure fluff :) oh wait some swearing!!

✗ you have to be clean!! There’s no two ways about this. Of course you dont have to be super clean freak germaphobe!! (Extra points if you are because cleaning is his passion and he hates germs and he would love to share that with you)

✗ it takes a while for him to become affectionate, he has to ‘get used to your germs’ and all. When you are at home he will love to cuddle with you!! He particularly loves it when you are clean sitting in his lap while watching a movie! Because!! Then he can wrap his arms around you and rest his head on yours!

✗ one of his favourite dates is going shopping together... to the chemist. He likes having you with him as he looks through all the hygiene and sanitary items, often asks you ‘does this smell good’ because baby wants to be clean AND smell good. He will smell like a fresh bouquet if you so wish. Afterwards he’ll take you out to eat and pay for your food as a thank you.

✗ he’s in no way, shape or form fond of PDA. It makes him uncomfortable and he prefers to keep his private life, private. And you completely respect that!! The most he will go is the occasional hand holding or giving you his vbc jacket.

✗ he will make it clear he’s in a relationship though! He doesnt want his fan girls to continue coming on to him so he will tell them bluntly, it probably went something like this: ‘I am in a relationship with Yn. If you have a problem I dont care. Please stop trying to get in with me from here on out and dont touch Yn otherwise I’ll drown you in bleach.’ Wow isnt he just a charmer.

✗ he doesnt mind if you wear a face mask or not, but be prepared: he will refuse to kiss you until you’ve thoroughly washed your face. He does think your face is cute/pretty/handsome/etc so I think he’d prefer to see it.

✗ i don’t think hes one to be jealous or possessive but doesn’t like it if other people ‘contaminate you with germs’ so he’ll most likely stick around you to defend you from ‘germs’ so i guess he’s pretty protective. But not toxic protective!! He likes it when you come to his games and cheer for him!

✗ Komori is the softest ever! He loves you and he loves affection!!!! Bb is kinda clingy but its okay because he’s adorable and you love his hugs! He loves snuggling with you - face to face, while the both of you talk about anything and everything!

✗ he definitely loves it when you come to his games and he always gives you his jacket to wear! After every game when he sees you waiting for him in the foyer he runs up and hugs you.

✗ he lives to see you smile! Komori really loves when you smile! Please smile for him! But don’t fake it! Fake smiles make him sad! If he ever sees you fake a smile (and he can always tell bcz of how much he loves your smile) he will always make time to speak with you or FaceTime you to ask you how you’re going and if you’re okay. He doesn’t like his bb being sad :’)

✗ Komori really likes cute cliche dates! Sometimes you tease him about it but you can’t deny that he always makes them special - even if they’ve been done a million times before. Picnic dates and star gazing dates are a must!

✗ when it comes to PDA, he’s not necessarily against or for it, hes just kinda like eh whatever works in the moment. However!! Holding hands everywhere is a must.

✗ I don’t see him as the type to get jealous and/or possessive. He gives vibes that are full of positivity, so I feel like in a relationship with him he’s very trusting and understanding. However, if someone is flirting with you and making you uncomfortable he will intervene. Unless!! You have it under control, if so then he’ll just come up and stand next to you with a passive aggressive smile directed at the dude. If you don’t have it under control, he will come up and put a hand on your shoulder to reassure you and then he will talk to the guy. He starts off by asking a random question like ‘how’s the weather’ or whatever, and this usually confuses the guy because ‘???? Who’s this dude and why’s he talking to me so friendly’ anywho, he chats the dude’s ears off and the dude ends up leaving.

✗ he cant cook but can make he finest 2min noodles. Eat his noodles. He’ll be happy.

✗ being real, if youre gonna date atsumu you have to have to be able to take a joke. Please dont be offended. It’s just that he likes to joke around with you and 10/10 will point to something ugly and say ‘that’s you babe.’ He doesn’t do it to be mean!!! No!! He just sucks shit at expressing himself and therefore he teases you to show his affection verbally. He often says ‘I love ya’ to remind you because he knows words can hurt. He does his best to not be too mean :,) and if you ever look slightly sad because of something he said he will flick the switch and turn into a really loving bf. Hah simp.

✗ he wont admit it but he loves affection. Pda is a yes for him. Loves it when you sit in his lap or hold is hand or jump onto his back. He thinks you’re the cutest. You wear his jacket. Before and after games he gives you a sweet kiss on the lips, nothing steamy though thats for back home. He hugs you as a stress release. I know that sounds weird but he finds you to be so comforting and when he engulfs you in a hug and he can smell your shampoo/perfume he just feels really safe and loved and all round lucky to have you.

✗ Oh I know a lot of people have this hc about him only allowing you to cheer for him during his serves but I dont vibe with that. He likes it silent to concentrate so even if you were special (which you are) he doesnt want that game concentration interrupted, which you of course respect and understand. However as soon as his serves are up and its actual game time please cheer as loud as you want because he loves it when you cheer him and his boys team on!!

✗ mans is jealous, he doesnt like it when others get too comfy comfy with you. Like he knows you have other friends and he gets that but he does not! And I repeat - does not! Like it if they (esp opposite gender) get super touchy with you because in his head: ‘why get touchy with her/him/them when I’m literally right here???’ Oh yeah and he hates it when some weirdo is tryna chat you up, so to combat that he would definitely make his presence known. In scenario 1: ‘hey buddy can I have my girl/boy/sIo for a sec? Yeah thanks mate.’ Then he proceeds to kiss you harshly on the lips. Scenario 2: he walks up to the guy/girl/person and puts a hand on the both of yours shoulder. ‘She’s/he’s/they’re taken buddy, scram it.’ And the weirdo gets intimidated by that passive aggressive smile and the strong hand on his shoulder so they usually run away with a scowl right after they’re told.

✗ hes only soft for you behind closed doors sorry bb. Mans is a big simp. Even if he wont show it. I headcanon that he has a horse and knows how to ride it so sometimes he rides it to your house and calls you to come outside. You go outside and there he is, sitting on this large beast with a picnic basket, ‘hey babes wanna have a picnic?’ Ngl you’re surprised every time but go anyways. Omg imagine one day when youre at the picnic he’s all like ‘hey babes wanna see a trick?’ And youre like, ‘yeah sure’ so he gets on the horse and does idk something but then gets bucked off. Omg that shit would be hysterical. Brb gonna write a short scenario on this.

✗ wow ok I love him so much

✗ ok ok so we know Shirabu is smart (example in the timeskip) so he often stays up really really late to work on assignments and to study which means he can get very tired and burnt out esp when he has to do volleyball on top of all that. This is where you come in, you often visit his dorms (Shiratorizawa has dorms so thats the base for shirabu) and when you visit his dorms you bring lots of food - healthy foods to get his brain working but also snack foods to help him relax and release some of that good ol’ serotonin.

✗ when he studies but also feels like cuddling you find yourself facing him while sitting in his lap. You gotta move though cause he’s still working so you end up just cuddling into him like a koala. When he doesnt have to write/is busy reading he will wrap his arms around you and place a kiss to your forehead. He loves you omg, thinks you’re the cutest thing ever. IN FACT his home screen is a picture of you asleep, cuddling him in his lap. The only reason you’re not his lock screen is bc he has a rep to keep up in the club and cant have brats like goshiki knowing he can be soft or tendou teasing him for being ‘simp.’

✗ like atsumu, you gotta be able to take a joke because mans is a salt stick and loves teasing/roasting you. Ofc you do it back. Sometimes you team up and tease Kawanishi together. Please save Kawanishi, he does not want to deal with either of you, bb is tired from volleyball.

✗ shirabu knows he may not be the ideal boyfriend - he’s hopelessly devoted to the volleyball club and studies the life out of himself, so he often finds himself apologising to you and feeling incredibly guilty that he may have to cancel your date every so often. You make sure to remind him that its okay, that you knew what you were getting into when you started dating him and that you admire that he’s so determined and such a hardworker and that you love him. Every time you tell him he almost cries, he loves you.

✗ to make up for lost dates he will invite you to his dorm, or he’ll go to yours and the both of you will spend the day cuddling and snacking on food while watching movies. For him this is like killing two birds with one stone because 1) he gets to relax and have some downtime and 2) he gets to spend that time with you and just being in your presence relaxes him so much. Hhhhh hes so precious omg i love him. Oh and he’ll make sure to tell you that he loves you - it took a while for him to say it because he wanted it to mean something.

✗ when it comes to pda he’s not the most comfortable about it, yknow he just prefers to keep that to himself. But!! Will 100% hold your hand if you ask. Sometimes you don’t even have to ask! He just really likes holding your hand.

✗ now is he jealous or possessive? Yes he is jealous, i cant describe why. He just gives those vibes. I think it’s because he has a lot of self doubt and insecurities about being a good boyfriend that he feels like someone could just sweep you away. He’s self aware so he knows it’s his insecurities talking so he does his best to not believe and act on them but sometimes when someone is deliberately flirting and knows you have a bf he will be big mad. Full on walks up to the guy with an intimidating aura and roasts him. Ngl you find it funny because he’s spitting out insults faster than you could say supercalifragi- something i forgot how to spell it lol.

Okay so turns out I love Rene!!

Hell yeah to her finding a healthier heads pace later in the exchange program, love that for her!!!

I'd love to here more about the ways you changed the lore. If she doesn't die then does she not get to talk to Lilith? (not that that conversation was like, life changing for MC in canon though skdnsks). I think I asked in the ask with All of the questions but is Rene descended from Lilith or do you write that out?

you did ask that!! : D i was actually planning on answering it in the second part of the post, but i can just answer it now for ease and also because im a lazy fuck

rene isn’t the descendant of lilith, but she is the descendant of lilith’s lover, the human lilith fell in love with and stole forbidden celestial realm food to in order to heal him.

i kiiiinda talked more about how i interpret an mc that descended from him here. i dont really like mc descending from lilith for a couple of reasons, but belphie plays a big role in it. in my story, i want his relationship with mc to kind of progress naturally and slowly from “hating you so much that i literally tried to kill you” to actual friendship, and i think the last part of season 1 was kind of sloppy with how belphie was just instantly really friendly and sweet with you after he learned your relation to his sister (which to be completely fair i don’t necessarily Hate, cus i know thats partially because youre living proof that lilith led a happy life and that gave him the closure he needed to move on)

but i kind of wanted to change it up a little so that lilith doesnt influence his newfound affection for rene at all. i actually have a really long winded explanation for how he found out about rene’s lineage but i might just kinda dump it in another post so i dont feel like im talking too much HFKXJFKSKFK

but she is still connected to lilith! i feel like after lilith’s reincarnation died and her soul regained all her memories, she ends up keeping a close watch on her old lover and his bloodline (along with the house of lamentation), sort of acting as a pseudo guardian angel to them. i really like the theory/headcanon that lilith influenced mc being chosen for the exchange program during the scene where lucifer picks from a random paper that fell to the floor. most people say that she would have done it so that mc can help the brothers finally overcome their grief, but here i like to think that it was also partially because she wanted them to help rene through an extremely harmful phase in her life

but as for if rene talked to her, i actually doooont know? i feel like without the connection of blood between them she can’t actually physically appear to rene, but she uses her spirit to manipulate the surroundings around her either to save her life from rabid belphies or to help her through key moments in her life. she could’ve done something similar to that so that rene could have eventually found out about the reincarnation and her ancestry. id have to figure it out!

I read the fic you linked, it was pretty sweet! and I love your hc about the book club it feels so fitting, very funny! I mean I think she considers phoenix to be a friend but not necessarily close, or atleast a friendly rival. idk what her bar for friendship is exactly, but phoenix did visit her in the hospital, and she must of put together that phoenix gave edgeworth her whip to give back to her. my theory is that she thinks phoenix is friends with anyone who prosecutes against him, bc after their run in with godot she says "becareful who your friends are" iirc, which i could be out of left field, but i take it as her voicing being uspet at what he said to her, esp bc she thinks he's phoenix's friend?

its a shame that the closest we get to see her interact with ppl her age is mentions of her and adrian. (but i also havent played the aai games so there might be stuff with kay, ema, sebastian)

okay but 1. gonna b some stuff people already know, and 2. a lot of it is probably gonna be made up on the spot based on little info i already know (abt to go off so if you dont wanna read it then you should just keep scrolling shsjhdj)

so she actually lives in a town which i havent really got to properly naming yet, but its a small one, and its just FULL of lovely people. thats where she gets her "im happy and sweet all the time" personality at the beginning of the story. (its also where the main group meets for the first time)

also, she lives with her sister and two cats that they both love because they are DEFINITELY cat people.

(sister doesnt have a name or official design yet)

she isnt actually a morning person, even though youd think she would be. but its because she prefers to be up at night. she likes to watch the stars and sing to them.

shes also very friendly and loves everyone she meets as soon as she meets them (except for two people. then only one.)

also shes probably broken at LEAST one of eafonds bones by now cause she is QUITE. the hugger.

she and her sister both curl their hair cause they think its pretty . theyve done it since they were little when they taught themselves how

her two favorite things are cats and stars and if you hang out with her long enough you wont even have to ask, youll just know.

she went to school, one i havent named or thought about much, but she graduated from it. she learned a lot of healing magic there, its the one she specializes at. she also learned curses and how to control someone with only an object. also some other usual spells.

she made her own spellbook because she doesnt like how long all the others are.

also she sleeps in hammocks most of the time cause she likes how they swing and wrap around her more than normal beds.

not gonna go into detail cause itll reveal stuff but theres certain things that happen, and they pretty much happen TWICE, and they just make her snap. thats when she goes "evil" and leaves everyone (except for aaron who came with her) because they dont agree with how she wants to go about.. uh.. dealing with someone.

also not a peroe fact but eafond had a lot of feelings for her before she decided to go do that. they dont necessarily leave, she just doesnt know what to do with them, so they eventually drift over to phoebe instead. when and if peroe comes back, they probably come back too

oh yeah, and when she goes off with aaron, we arent sure exactly what happens yet but theres a lot of emotions and peroe showing him the love nd care he deserves

Nervous energy radiated from Carter’s every molecule, forcing Parker into a near-meditative stillness just to bring balance to the situation. Carter had been getting sent on more and more dangerous missions and wanted to seek some formal training for the particular brand of magic he possessed. So they sought help.

Kieran had been all too happy to direct them to Robin Goodfellow, who in turn got them in contact with his cousin, Fionn. The man agreed to meet with Carter to test his skill, but the twins had learned a bit too late that Fionn was the leader of the Brightguard, the only martial group the Seelie court held. So meeting them was a big deal. Like a child on their school’s yearbook committee landing an interview with the panel responsible in determining who to award the Nobel Peace Prize.

It had planted a seed in Carter which Parker thought him previously incapable of growing- insecurity. She already knew that there wasn’t anything this Fionn could do that her brother couldn’t, but seeing him daunted turned what would have been polite cordiality into a contrarian indifference. She didn’t care if he was the most powerful being in all the universes, so long as his existence made Carter feel bad then in her eyes he was less important than the dirt beneath her heel.

“Maybe we shouldn’t meet with them.” He started as they walked ever closer to the agreed meeting spot. “We can say I came down with the flu or something and couldn’t make it- I’m sure they’d understand.”

Parker sighed and stopped them. They were just about to the edge of the clearing and definitely past the point of no return.

“Carter, you know I’ll back you up whatever you decide, but you wanted to do this to help take some of the work off dad’s plate. It’s gotten a little over our heads I’ll admit but we shouldn’t lose focus just because there’s some uppity knight who thinks he can talk to trees better than you can.”

“Who’s uppity?” Came a robust voice only a few yards ahead of them. Parker was proud of herself for not jumping right out of her skin in surprise, but she put that aside to reach for Carter’s hand when she noticed he had grown pale in response.

Before them were four figures (each she learned through research was a ‘general’ of the guard and a master of a respective elemental magic). The one who spoke, who she could only assume was Fionn, was a near-perfect physical specimen, if your type was golden and sculpted. The other man hung towards the back, also handsome and tall, but with darker features and enormous wings. He looked like someone took an angel and gave him levels of romanticized angst that teenagers could only dream about.

The other two were women, and couldn’t look more different if they tried. One stood rigidly at Fionn’s side, a statuesque beauty but looking like she’d rather be anywhere else. And the other was slight, possibly even shorter than Parker, with almond eyes and a bright smile as she waved at them both.

“I think she’s talking about you of course.” The smaller one said, giving Fionn an impish grin.

“...she wouldn’t necessarily be wrong.” The other woman said (making Parker immediately like her).

“Fionn.” He said, stepping forward to introduce himself, hand extended and grin that said he was entirely too sure of himself. They shook politely.

“I’m Parker and this is my brother, Carter. I trust Robin informed you of our situation?”

“He did yeah...” he said, rubbing his chin casually (and setting off Parker’s internal alarm bells that he was set on toying with them). “But the thing is, I’m a very busy man. There are plenty of full-blooded fae out there who would swim through a river of silver to have me show them the ropes.”

Parker glanced at Carter and nearly saw red. his eyes were fixed on the ground and he was biting his lip; He wasn’t pale and nervous anymore, he was ashamed. As much as she wanted to walk away or chew him out right there, this was still a high-ranking member of the Seelie court and the cousin of their father’s friend. If she was going to get an apology from him (and she would), then it had to be worked for.

“You doubt his ability?”

“I just need a demonstration to see where we need to start from is all- I said I would assist and I’m a man of my word.”

“Almost too many...” Parker muttered darkly, words slipping out before she could catch them.

“What was that?”

Shit.

“Well, you said a lot about your time and importance, but how do we know you’re in a position to train Carter?”

“I’ll have you know I have mastered complete command of all botanical and earth-related magic for longer than your ancestors have been around.”

“And I’ll have you know that my brother is more talented than anyone I’ve ever seen.”

“I’m sure he is talented as much as he can be, but let’s face it- you are just a human so how much can you have seen?”

“You know what- you seem so sure in this-“ “I am.” “So it would be no issue for you to prove it.” “None at all.” “So what do you say to a friendly spar?” “Oh please-“ “and if I win, you have to take back what you said.” “You!? Well IF you can land any hit I’d be glad to do so. But what do I get out of this?” “Well IF you’re able to prove to me you’re just as powerful as you say you are- I’d be happy to admit you’re the better fae.”

With that same smug grin as before, he extended his hand in acceptance. As Parker reached to shake it, Carter and the other’s voices rang out to try and stop them; saying that they were being immature/had nothing to prove.

“STAY OUT OF THIS.” They both yelled in unison before snapping their attention back to each other as they shook hands in agreement. Parker walked a ways away (to what she assumed would be the edge of their ‘arena’) and collected her thoughts.

She had been trained for this- not just taking down guys four times her size (thanks to Joe for insisting on a combat-focused regimen), but taking down their power.

Remembering her training with Louise and Rae, she calmed her heart rate, stilled her breath, found where her own power lay within her (dormant and hungry and so different and misplaced compared to anything else), and reached.

It was satisfyingly easy, to feel Fionn’s own power (vibrant and green- he wasn’t boasting about how powerful he was), and to cloak it. Like snuffing out a candle from a person who thought it was the sun. So long as she maintained focus on that, she’d have the upper hand.

‘Alright, hard part over.’ She thought as she moved into a defensive stance, telegraphing that he would have to make the first move in this fight. And he did, coming at her slow and obvious- letting her know that she wasn’t even worth the effort of pretending he wasn’t taking it easy. Parker just added that to the pile of mistakes and assumptions he was making.

It was an easy strike to deflect and even easier to move away from. She debated the risk of continuing on with this pattern until he grew tired, but something told her his stamina would outlast hers. No she would need to end this soon.

She was quick, but Fionn was able to keep up. Parrying every potential hit with an ease that came from centuries of practice, and always gentle. Batting her fists away like they were flies, redirecting any kick like they were dancing. He might have been able to physically keep time with her, his patience couldnt.

She saw the exact moment when it happened- when Fionn attempted to use his powers and couldn’t. A look, half wild panic and half unfiltered rage, clouded his blue eyes as he realized exactly who was responsible and what she was capable of.

‘Perfect- now we can finally start.’

He came at her then, no longer holding back or staying still, and a terrible and deep part of Parker was thrilled at it. At finally being challenged, at reaching that point where it was all instinct; where she got her best results.

Soon enough they were both heaving and dizzy from the effort- but still without a clear winner. Parker had taken a few blows, but that was expected, and nothing that had made her yield.

Finally, she saw an opening- after stepping to the side he didn’t follow fast enough and his back was to her. She seized the opportunity and made to strike, but realized too late that it was exactly what he wanted her to do.

Before she could blink, Parker found herself pinned to the ground, winded from the force of it. But if he expected her to admit defeat at this point then that would be his mistake. Just because she couldn’t move her limbs did not mean she couldn’t win.

Thrusting her head forward she was able to catch him off guard with a headbutt, unfortunately her angle wasn’t perfect and a balloon of pain burst across her face where she was sure she had broken her nose. Thankfully, her gambit had paid off and Fionn had fallen back in a daze.

For a long moment nothing happened, with both of them holding their faces in an attempt to regain their bearings.

“Okay...” Fionn said, voice sounding tired but not nearly as winded or hurt as Parker hoped. “I yield. You made your point and got a solid hit in... I’m sorry.”

“Yeah...” She sighed in agreement. “I yield too. Although I’m not apologizing.”

“You don’t need to.” He groaned as he pulled her up to stand. “I am fully able to admit I was in the wrong here. I took your lineage as an indicator for talent and made assumptions.”

Parker was suddenly swept up in a crushing hug as Carter finally reached her.

“Dammit Park, dont ever do something like that again no matter how badass it is! Just look at your nose- what is dad going to say?”

“Whatever he’d like, but I think he’s going to be more preoccupied with the news that Carter is going to get the training he needs.” Fionn jumped in, clapping a friendly hand on Carter’s shoulder, The ‘cocky asshole’ impression now fully gone. “You’ve gotta let me in on how you were able to override my power. I’ve never felt anything like it.”

“Oh well Parker can nullify fae-magic. It’s her own special ‘thing’.” Carter offered as everyone else drew closer, speaking to them as if they were new friends. It brought Parker back to when they were in highschool and her twin was able to fit in wherever he went, able to make everyone feel like they were part of the ‘cool kids’.

“Nah, I felt that immediately. I’m talking about when halfway through and it slipped- I still tried to reach out. I commanded the trees to intervene and restrain her but... nothing.”

“Oh!” Carter began to look sheepish at that. “I, uh, kinda asked them not to? It’s just- I really wanted Parker to win.”

The surprised and silent smiles that each of them grew made the fight (and broken nose) absolutely worth it to Parker. Granted she hadn’t been aware her control had slipped, but having Carter there more than made up for it.

“Carter... it is going to be a genuine honor to train you.”
