So is the reason for Tyren getting more unhinged the side effects of the devotion necklace, or was this a downward spiral he would have gone done regardless of the necklace? I remember you talking about how the necklaces have consequences, and I'm curious if this is one of them.
Yeah!
Tyren would have been an already overly-doting and even jealous character on his own without the loyalty necklace, (and had been due to his crush on the Lamb even before recieving it, and what happens when you reject followers in-game) but his spiral into a unhealthy obsession and idolization was aided by the loyalty necklace.
If it was given to perhaps a regular, less devoted follower, the effects maybe wouldn't have had such severity. But Lamb got the materials/necklace from the mystic seller and isn't fully aware of the effects it might have on their followers yet.
So, dog is unhinged a bit on his own, but amplified by the necklace. He's originally friendly, caring and sweet. But you take good traits, too much of a good thing, and they can turn bad

Some thought I had about "what if the lamb decided to break their own vows to never be the sacrifice of a god just to see Narinder be free and 'happy' " which has probably been done but I thought mostly about Narinder going back to the cult, seeing all the time the corpse of the lamb in his dreams or just seeing them everywhere in the corner of his eye.
He was locked so early and for so long he can't really handle all the responsibilities of taking care of the cult, he's overwhelmed, wondering if this is even the freedom he thought about.
At some point maybe bc the crown grew so attached to the Lamb (like Narinder) it kept the ghost of the lamb around and when it actually was able to show and notice they weren't exactly dead... they started bothering Narinder and ngl I have many silly ideas about this but also ... Narinder wanting them back "to take care of the cult instead of him" but actually misses touching the lamb hearing their voice instead of just soft whispers that don't feel real, etc....
The lamb doesn't want this. They made their choice knowing it'd not be able to take it back and betraying not only their kind but themselves so they'd rather just die.
Narinder having to come to terms with his actions and what he made the lamb do.

So. As something of a connoisseur of depictions of the 7 Deadly Sins in media, I was just mulling over FMAB and thought, “I don’t know if anyone as crossed this over with OM before, but that would actually be kinda fire though.”
Like, imagine each of the brothers with the destructive powers of their respective Homunculi.
~♡♡♡~
Lucifer coming off as the most normal at first, until MC catches how his shadow bends and curves to avoid harsh light. They swear they sometimes hear him chuckling in the dark corners of the House, but they never actually find him anything there when they check. Red eyes reveal themselves in unlit rooms and follow them through the halls, all the while they keep wondering how he always seems to know where they are whenever he's away…
Mammon hardening his skin to be tougher than diamond, then using it to reinforce his claws and smoothly cut a perfect circle into glass display case. Him letting himself get punched when things don’t matter, but instantly hardening his cheek to break the assailant's hand whenever he starts getting serious. Or literally using his body to protect MC from harm as their first man and loyal shield.
Leviathan having a MASSIVE aquatic beast form that he shoves into a normal sized body, making him feel even more distant to others. Using transformations to regularly make himself look like his favorite anime characters/idols since he can’t stand the thought of looking at his true form. Yet, he still has that conservation of mass going, so he can simultaneously look like a 12 year-old girl and kick a car down the street like a soccerball.
Satan using his gifted sight to become an absolute force of nature. Not just a mere brute, but a sophisticated and effective killing machine with the wit and reflexes to mow down entire armies before breaking a sweat. Never blinded by fury, but harnessing his rage behind every inescapable strike. Him silently vowing that any threat to MC or his family will barely get to finish a thought before he's cut them down with precision and grace.
Asmodeus mostly using his extending nails for glorious manicures, but not being afraid to pierce the heart or lungs of anyone he doesn’t much like. He hears an incubus talking shit from a few tables down and stabs a hole through the jerk's skull while never looking away from his milkshake. His fights with Mammon getting 1000 times more destructive as his razor sharp claws bounce off his brother's skin and dig into the walls and furniture. The only thing he hates about them are how long it takes to scrub the blood off his nails afterwards.
*silently contemplates the possibility of Beel ripping himself in half to reveal a nightmarish second “stomach” capable of sucking anything into a blood-filled pocket dimension of which there is no light, hope, or escape* … Okay, moving on.
And of course, for those unaware FMAB Sloth could run at like the speed of sound which was threatening because he was also a behemoth. However, Belphie probably weights 125 pounds when wet, so… I admittedly get a giggle at the idea of him giving Lucifer a speed-of-light drop kick from across the House. That is probably all he would use it for, too. Him just getting those horns out and going into ramming speed… What a menace
Bonus: Wonder what kind of alchemist Solomon would be?

[ cw: nightmares / trauma / ]
Post-invasion, Mikey sneaks into Leo’s room and when asked by Leo what the problem was, Mikey just smiles and says since he’s awake and knew Leo would be too, he didn’t want either of them alone. Leo laughs and lets Mikey stick around, both of them clumped together on Leo’s bed, watching grainy compilations of old Lou Jitsu commercials on Leo’s phone.
Technically, Mikey didn’t lie. He just didn’t explain everything that led him to Leo’s room. He didn’t explain the nightmare of his arms burning up too bright, too fast, destroyed before Raph and Donnie have a chance to help. He didn’t explain how he woke up with a wail caught in his throat, phantom pain in his arms and chest alike chasing away any semblance of exhaustion. He didn’t explain how his mind made sure he knew, vividly, that if one thing went wrong with his portal, then he would have never seen Leo again.
He didn’t explain, and he didn’t have to. Leo knows his brothers better than he knows himself, and Mikey has always been easy to read. So it’s no trouble to let Mikey know that he’s still with them, that Leo is here and alive with everyone else. And when Mikey finally regains his exhaustion and falls asleep leaning against Leo, Leo simply maneuvers him into a more comfortable position and stays by his side.
He doesn’t move, doesn’t go to sleep - not that he could, anyway. He just mindlessly scrolls on his phone, the soft snores of his little brother filling the room. He stays in place, awake, because he wants to be sure that when Mikey wakes up again it’s to the immediate sight that Leo is alive and well and home.
And, if Leo’s bring honest, that’s a reminder not just for Mikey’s sake.

Sometime after Cave Boy Danny leaves them, the Waynes get a transmission from Valerie (in costume, helmetless), but it's all static-y since multiversal transmissions aren't perfect, so they don't hear everything
One of the words they do hear is "beloved" while she's displaying a picture of Danny so they think she's Talia. Not helped by Dani in the background playing with Cujo and the other animal shaped ghosts, so they think she's Damian
Valerie's message would be nothing but a threat. Like even if she's on good terms with Phantom, she is pissed that he has been missing for months and she's been the one picking up all the slack from ghosts attacks.
Valerie is a great ghost hunter but a girl has got to get her English essay done and work her shift. Danny is not pulling his weight.
She's also worried sick. Danny has been missing for months, and everyone knows the likelihood of his being found is not high. She sends these transmissions in blind hope that he is in the ghost zone and not- you know permanently Phantom.
Also, Damian would be shocked to find out his counterpart is a girl. He doesn't want to claim that would make him any different but he knows his grandfather would treat him like his mother- a solid soldier but never an heir.
How different would he turn out to be if he was not raised to inherit his Grandfather's empire?
Unfortunately, this does fall out of the plan Cave Boy plotline since the Waynes do not meet Valerie or Dani.
