So is the reason for Tyren getting more unhinged the side effects of the devotion necklace, or was this a downward spiral he would have gone done regardless of the necklace? I remember you talking about how the necklaces have consequences, and I'm curious if this is one of them.

Yeah!

Tyren would have been an already overly-doting and even jealous character on his own without the loyalty necklace, (and had been due to his crush on the Lamb even before recieving it, and what happens when you reject followers in-game) but his spiral into a unhealthy obsession and idolization was aided by the loyalty necklace.

If it was given to perhaps a regular, less devoted follower, the effects maybe wouldn't have had such severity. But Lamb got the materials/necklace from the mystic seller and isn't fully aware of the effects it might have on their followers yet.

So, dog is unhinged a bit on his own, but amplified by the necklace. He's originally friendly, caring and sweet. But you take good traits, too much of a good thing, and they can turn bad

i don't have much to say because school but I am really enjoying watching trigun (98 anime)

originally I was going to cut off my adventures at episode 13 (which I found out was just a rehash of previous adventures + some new scenes) and pick up the other half during my June holidays

*then I found out the 'next day' that netflix was pulling the show in about 9 days from this post.(hhh)

*that was in march

so I'm trying to slowly finish the show now and draw out all my thoughts at the end instead of splitting my review into two like I intended (which was stupid now that I think about it.)

objectively i know misty in the s1 date scene is the most performative she'll ever be and that how she's dressing and presenting herself is completely what she thinks a man finds attractive, what society has told her is attractive. heavy makeup, push up bra, skirt, acts overly enthusiastic, wide eyed. and i KNOW being with men is a game to her (what christina ricci said etc etc she isn't interested in men at all she's bored and thinks that's what she's supposed to to) so as a viewer im like yes yes i see that, i see that she's dressing for the male gaze love what ur doing here writers ur giving me a really good insight into misty this is manipulative performative peacocking in a sense and im obsessed with it. and then i see one single frame of that scene without me thinking of the inherent commentary on sexism and comphet that's present in it and lose my mind log in to my blog and unabashedly scream at my followers abt how i so badly want to be dicked down by her😔

All I'm saying is I don't think it was the gun shot wound that killed her.
