the mission was a success, so for now they can rest.

i feel i need to explain the extensive scarring i decided to draw on nat in this one. going through the upbringing and training and all the battles and missions (for the red room, shield and the avengers) it’s only reasonable to believe that natasha’s skin would have its fair share of scarring. she’s not a god nor does she have any superpowers or superserum, she’s very human in the way her body immortalises her painful past. like the scarring around the wrists for example. girls in the red room would be handcuffed to their beds at night. the medal would dig into their flesh, leaving permanent marks.

canon natasha doesn’t look like this and i can only assume it’s because her sexy femme fatale character arc would’ve been “ruined” for a lot of people if it was.
