cant believe people are still arguing on if camilo and isabela were trying to save the candle or mirabel. Me personally, I always interpreted it as they were both going for the candle so she wouldn’t have to. They were saving the candle and at the same time saving mirabel. Like they wouldn’t just be like fuck u mirabel and save the candle they were trying to prevent her from being hurt😭

#in stars and time#in stars and time spoilers#(in the tags)#so after loop told me not to bother with giving mira the bow again i was like: okay i shld give her the bow again#i spent a loop checking every single rollback spot and it was really interesting#but scarily i was in a dead-end checking that paper where you tell a story about running away from home#but there was a rollback. and *i* forgot what i was talking about. and everyone kind of laughed it off but... that's really concerning#okay so basically after all that happened i reset to town and gave mirabelle the bow again. and instead of being able to move on#past the skip. she kind of became aware that something was wrong? and her expressions oh my gof#pointing out the bow she already had made her slot back into normalcy but. aack#i'm concerned and very excited to see what's going on. hopefully i'll be able to cut through the third floor on my next loop#( know abt the 2nd floor key now)#and then we'll see what happens when i fight the king if he's what's up there#i Really wanna know what isa has to say to me (gay heart praying for a confession-)#odile noticed smth strange too once. i'm wondering maybe if there's a way for her to pick up on what's going on frm within the loop#(she's very very smart + i love her)

btw Mirabel wasn’t “abused” in case that’s a shocker to you. 🤭 Her family canonically (whether in the movie, the books, or Jared’s Q&As, etc.) loves her and makes an effort to show it, but all of them are so engulfed in their own problems they don’t stop and communicate and are usually very jealous of each other while jumping to conclusions. The family is filled to the brim with miscommunication and we can also see that in Mirabel---she never noticed how much pressure or what her family was going through pre-movie, and only through saving the cracks and trying to show her worth did she start to see.
OFC this is not ignoring Mirabel’s problems! I love her but people REALLY need to understand everyone was suffering in that family and none of them “deserved it less” or “deserved it more” or “got it worse” or whatever.

izek lore dump!!
since i was waiting for someone to ask for it and @slowtimelove was it!! (tysm :D) plus a raw cooked izek WIP
Lore dump below cut.
(Curse of Strahd Spoilers too!!)
I'm separating it in pre-COS, COS and post-COS, so:
Pre-COS
Canon lore stuff happened with the exception that Ireena is called Mirabel in my campaign, since I wanted one of my players to make their own Tatyana reincarnation.
There's not much alteration here besides that, except that a particular deity did that to his arm but that's unimportant/for later.
COS
Izek found the party, didn't kidnap Mirabel because she chose to talk to him and get him away from Vargis.
He just sort of... Followed them around, they were very friendly and gave him pencils and crayons for him to draw, so he gave them some drawings as thanks :D
(His drawings there, first one is explaining what happened, second one is Willow and Mirabel, third one is a landscape, the last one is a vision he had)
Vargis got disappointed at his crap job of being a spy so he cut his tongue as a warning, left it on the party's house as a message.
Tied Izek on a stake with other npcs to burn at the Smiling Sun festival (that I turned into a ball), they saved him but, well, his tongue couldn't be glued back right <3
He got an actual bed and was treated as an actual human being for at least three weeks
he met Arden, a npc, had a crush on him and drew him portraits from afar (which Arden perceived as threats)
Arden died, Ismark died when they arrived at Ravenloft
Willow had to sacrifice him in exchange for enough power to end Strahd's reincarnation cycle; in reality, signed Izek a contract with Cora, a power-hungry entity.
Strahd used the corpses of the dead to fight the party, Izek's body didn't answer to his commands and instead delivered Cora's message that Strahd's contract was due <33
(more drawings, first one is the bear lady from the past and the second is a drawing of the players + him not knowing what a tiger is, since wolves, crows and bears are all he knows)
post-COS
Izek got the chance to protect Mirabel - now Minadora, that lost all of her memories when she killed Strahd.
He's mute and she's went blind from sunlight, so it was a bit complicated <3
He isn't free, whatsoever. Had to kill for Cora the same way that he had to kill for Vargis, Izek works as a pawn to move Cora towards godhood.
He's ATM at a coliseum, fighting in a giant fighting ring since Cora has nothing for him to do other than watch some people when they get to specific events but doesn't want him to be free either.
The giants keep him there bc they're too scared to let him go so they want someone to kill him and make some coin in the process.
The campaign is set 101 years after COS, in a Storm King's Thunder campaign, so that's that with the viking-looking design.
Also! He got a friend/romantic interest, but I can't talk a lot abt it since some of my players follow me :D
that's pretty much it :^) i'll make some other posts if the players eventually find him again and keep him around

You've found that you have a much easier time writing expressions than you do reading them. This is, of course, because memory likes to dramatize them. A smile is much more solid in your mind's eye than it might be on a face.
That's... usually the case, at least. Perhaps it's a Vaugardian thing. Maybe just happenstance! But. Well. You're Vaugardian companions certainly all wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Mirabelle is fretting over something. This much is obvious. She's rocking back and forth on her heels, biting her thumb nail, clearly lost in thought. Her expression is furrowed and her large eyes clouded with worry.
Really, it's very easy to tell with her.
"Mirabelle, dear!" You stalk over to her, placing a hand softly on her shoulder.
She jolts out of her trance, hand flying to her rapier, "WAA!? Conifleur??? Sir?"
You smile, "The one and only!"
"You scared me!"
"I noticed." You hum, slipping your hand off of her and moving to face her properly, "You certainly seemed lost in thought."
"Oh, um... It was nothing, really!!"
"Ahh... I don't quite buy that, Love." You tell her simply, "I could hear the gears in your head turning all the way from camp. What's on your mind, Miss. Mirabelle?"
She holds her hands to her chest, almost as if in prayer. You do it differently in Poteria but you've lived here long enough to recognize the gesture, now. Mirabelle won't quite look at you. That's more than alright! You have time before you have to return to camp.
"We're getting close to the fourth orb. And the curse is spreading faster than ever. If we're not careful... one of us could...." She trails off.
"We won't." You tell her, with much more confidence than you really have, "All of us are determined to see this through, Dear."
"But!-"
"Ah!" You put a finger to her lip. "No buts! What kind of story would it be if the heroes lost?"
"This isn't a story!" She argues.
"I know," you concede, "but it is our story, is it not? May as well stay optimistic."

Okay what I'd it wasn't them who threw Alien Mirabel out? What if it was a relative who was mean and decided to teach her bio parents a lesson and the Madrigal just assumed that the reason was she wasn't responsive in the egg (turns out she wasn't big enough in the egg, hence why she didn't hatched out of it as quickly as possible).
What beef did they have wit her 😭 lowkey messed up. Nah nvm, high key messed up. And why would the parents just not do anything for a decade and a half??? Clearly they didn’t care too much abt her 💀 Madrigal W once again 🔛🔝

Ok so you know Encanto? It was real popular in 2021. Well if you don’t know the whole idea is that this one family gets “gifts” or powers when they turn five. The gifts in order are,
Healing
Weather Control
Future vision
Plant Manipulation
Super Hearing
Super Strength
Shapeshifting
Zoolinguists
So there’s 8 gifts in the movie, and 8 champions
I think you know where I’m going with this
But I just thought to myself, the Champions are technically the protectors of their regions. But their only defences are their Pokémon
So what if Arceus saw humans appoint certain humans the title of “Champion”, saw these certain humans protected the weaker humans, and decided they needed something else to help protect the humans on earth, and decided to gift them powers
And no, this isn’t going towards a super hero AU. It’s heading towards a god AU
But yeah, Arceus decided these humans needed more than Pokémon to defend themselves and others, and gifted them powers
And when I said this is turning into a god AU, I didn’t mean the champions consider themselves gods, but the people of their regions do. At the very least Demigods
Because in their eyes, their Champions got blessed by Arceus, the god of all life in the universe and he who knows best
Really this is just the champions expectations, but 10x worse cause now they’re looked at like gods
(Also I don’t know if this has gone on for centuries, and every new champion gets a new power while the previous champion loses theirs. Or if the present champions are the first ones to receive gifts, you can decide which one you like more)
Oh and while they are powers, they can still be referred to as gifts in this AU because Arceus gifted the Champions with them

And throughout it all she's trying to prove herself competent despite her lack of gift
But also it would be so so cool and it's so self indulgent bc I think Iris deserves dope things, that she does have a gift, it was still untapped, but she does have it, she has Arceus' powers herself maybe, that'd be cool, but ofc she doesn't know yet bc it's not as clear and prominent as the rest, so as she grew older, still trying to prove herself to everyone, she's desperately praying to Arceus to at least give her a gift too, she was a strong and competent champion, so why doesn't she have one
But ough she does she fucking does, Arceus took one good look at her and decided she's the one to truly inherit his power to protect the world, the way she could really help the other Champions with their power as well, the way she could give others gifts as well, the way she could do all the things Arceus could do, but she never realized it just yet
No cause there are nine champions so there should be one who doesn't have a gift hahah and me being me gave Iris the main charac card once again hahahah
But don't you think that'd be dope?? Idk it's dope for me that Iris could really use the move Judgement, but it's also cool to see her bond with the other Champions learning abt their gifts too, and then being the one to help them open up about their gifts
BUT ALSO PLEASE CYNTHIA W FUTURE VISION HER BEING THE BRUNO OF THE AU JDMCBDK

Man that's fucked up tho imagine since all the champions are already burdened by their gifts, and Cynthia sees it all, sees how it'll end for them if they can't handle the pressure anymore, sees that Iris won't get a power, and she doesn't wanna let her down, doesn't want Iris to feel like shit, so when she told the other Champions abt it, they didn't want to believe her, no, the pressure was already too much before they got their gifts, what more a champion without one? Cynthia felt like shit, she doesn't want to tell Iris about it, she couldn't handle the disappointment, the hurt, everything; so she ran away, hid herself from both her league and the rest of the champions
And since Arceus gave his powers to Iris (tho I wanna say he gave Hau his gift first before finally giving Iris everything he has), he couldn't give another person Cynthia's gift, also it's the fact no one's taken her title yet, she doesn't want anyone to take the champion title, she doesn't want anyone to go through the same shit she went through both before and after getting the gift

Of course milk is a prompt😭😭 I mean, it was bound to happen. To all the new/unaware encanto fans, I'm seriously sorry, this must be so confusing😭
A continuation of yesterday's drawing! Dolores has given birth to her first baby👶👶 Breastfeeding is natural and beautiful so don't say anything otherwise or I'll scream😤😤
+ I've been brainstorming on what the baby could grow up to be,, at first, I was just gonna draw a generic baby and not really think abt the character, but I had fun thinking abt all the different powers the baby could have, since I wanna make them autistic coded lol. Eventually, I decided on a girl, who like me, thinks visually and imagines up elaborate scenarios, but unlike me, has the ability to project those detailed, visual thoughts into reality💞 her name is: ✨Vera✨ Idk it just spoke to me lol. Yes she inherited the gap in Pepa’s teeth😭
After the family started to work through their issues, I think they decided to be more,, laid back with the whole 'colour coordination' thing. Free expression and all that. Vera has some rainbow earrings from her grandmother and her first cousin once removed: Mirabel(who she just calls tia Mirabel), embroiders all her clothes, they brainstorm designs together😇😇 she loves colourful things!
Tomorrow is the final day. I'm so happy I've been able to draw EVERYDAY so far for this challenge, seriously, it blows my mind, I never thought I'd be able to complete one of these 'daily challenge' things. HOWEVER if you haven't done everyday, that doesn't invalidate the work you did or the time you put into that work, whatever people felt comfortable with doing is amazing and still a massive achievement! Same goes for if you didn't participate. All of you should be proud! Do something sweet for yourselves💖💖💖💞💞
