While mlm contents are getting loads of promotion and in turn public attention and even bigger platforms, wlw contents are getting screwed (with $0 promotion) and axed left and right. While mlm audiences can sit around choosing what they want to watch, wlw audiences literally are moving mountains to try keeping even one ounce of their contents alive.

Of course everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community face discrimination and are in the minority when it comes to on screen representations. But it’s frustrating to see how contents featuring queer non-men are disproportionately getting screwed over and over again in recent times.

We deserve to build a better community- one in which we feel safe and can hold people accountable for thier actions.

Once again I’m thinking about the bs reasons they gave for cancelling OFMD. First they tried the whole tHe NuMbErS weren’t there. That got quickly debunked as patently false. All the numbers available were stellar. So the numbers they were talking about must be imaginary numbers. Some kind of math only execs can see. Then they tried the whole “We didn’t know how to market it because of the shock of violence” and the internet once again exploded. It was like they went from a bad excuse to one that was so dumb it was fucking insulting. Here’s the list of shows and movies on HBO that are more violent than OFMD.

starting w/ nyxly bc wth??? kara is such an empathic person, she has a huge heart but in the end they just sent her back to the phantom zone w/ lex???? i mean,, nyxly definitely was a good person, she was just so hurt and she deserved a second chance,,, kara and nyxly feeling the other emotions definitely hinted that yeah redemption arc but no they just threw it all away

and don't even get me started on lena. yk i started watching this show bc i love Katie Mcgrath, and one thing about her is that she really understand her characters and in an interview she said smth like: not everyone is a superhero and that's where lena stands, doing what she thinks is right being surrounded by superheros,,, w/ wtv knowledge she has she's just doing the best she can. and w/ s6 being about ppl empowering themselves bc they don't need superheros to protect them,, the character that illustrated this the best was just given powers (⁠눈⁠‸⁠눈⁠) like be so fr pls she didn't need that,, and ik someone said that its to give lena a queer narrative and give supercorp queer subtext but it still doesn't make any sense for her character????

yk what let's talk about supercorp while we're at it. kara and lena did not spend 3 seasons devouring each other w/ their eyes and then break up arc (s5) for wtv is happening on s6. i am genuinely mad over this bc s5 gave us perfect context for a romance,, like kara spent 3y lying to her best friend and then they have this huge fight abt it and right when they make up kara ends up alone in a terrifying place. it's so freaking easy for romance to bloom here ????? like i honestly think that supercorp should've been the core of s6 bc even as friends kara and lena are each other's most important person and they both went through pretty traumatic events and i think they should've been supporting each other on a much deeper level idk im just so mad

Ableist garbage rant

I’m literally so fucking sick and tired of able bodied people disregarding a disability because “they’re a person first”. Like no fucking shit they’re a person but being a *disabled* person doesn’t make you any less of a human being.

I am an autistic adult.

Not an adult with autism.

It’s not that hard to maintain even the smallest bit of respect towards how we as disabled individuals prefer to be treated, perceived, referred to, etc.

And here’s an idea if you don’t know, ask. If they’re your friends/family you should have asked a long time ago.

I am SO tired of adhd not being taken seriously, why do people just care about this disorder, or that other thing?; adhd don't deserve respect and seriousness? it's not "bad" enough for you?, it's not just moving around and forgetting things, please, take us adhders seriously, please
