does anyone know where i can get a normal ass relatively affordable notebook (dot or grid preferred but lined is fine too - not blank) with this kind of thick, recycled speckle-y paper? everything i can find is either stupid expensive and not actually a notebook ("guided journals" as pictured lol) or on the opposite end of the quality spectrum (tissue paper dollar store notebook). in my wildest dreams it's like a bound a5 that lies flat but i will take spiral too. as we once said in a long forgotten era: i have a mighty need please send me leads if u have them

Summary : Y/n's mistakenly takes someone's drink at a party. Despite the initial embarrassment, they engage in light chit-chat and discover a sense of familiarity. Oscar introduces himself, and they exchange greetings, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their story.

Y/n chuckled when she remembered how embrassed it was when she took the wrong glass and sipped it like nothing was wrong. But she could feel the confused look from someone beside her.
"I'm thinking you might have grabbed mine by mistake." She glanced to her side, wondering if the words she had just heard were indeed meant for her.
"Huh?" She finally turned to fully face that man. He chuckled at her puzzled expression, but eventually, with a raised eyebrow, he pointed to the glass she was holding. "Oh my goodness! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to take your drink." Her eyes widened in shock, and her heart raced as embarrassment flooded over her.
He held back his laughter. "No worries. I can take another one," as he said, he cracked a grin like a friendly cat. His eyes squinted playfully, giving off a vibe that was both laid-back and amused.
"Let me grab you another one."
"No need for that, I-" Ignoring him, she sauntered away to fetch a new drink, intending to replace the one she had mistakenly taken from him earlier.
It didn't take long for y/n to return. Once she returned, they engaged in light chit-chat, chatting about who invited them to the party. It wasn't until later that she realized the guy she'd been talking to looked kind of familiar. "So, which friend brought you here tonight?" she asked.
"Oh, just through some mates, racing circles and all. What about you?"
"Just here with a friend. By the way, you seem oddly familiar. Have we met before?"
"I get that a lot. Maybe you've seen me on the street or something."
She just laughed, shrugged it off, and took another sip of her drink. At the same time, he shot her a cheeky smile, sneaking a few glances while she checked out the scene around her. After a bit, he decided to break the ice, "I'm Oscar, by the way."
"I'm y/n. Nice to meet you, Oscar."
With a cheerful smile, they exchanged a warm handshake. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in their story.

"Can't you stay for one more night?" Oscar asked. He walks over to y/n who is arranging her luggage a little hurriedly.
Y/n smiled before saying, "work can't wait. But I promise I'll come another day."
"Okay, i'll counting the days until you return."
She laughs, then stands up and pulls Oscar into her arms. "You're doing a good job. Keep going!"
"I'll miss you." He hugs her tighter, as if he's not willing to let her go.
"Me too."
They fall into a moment of silence, soaking in each other's warmth before having to go back to being apart for a period of time they don't know how long.
She never expect the party that night to lead her into a complicated situation, where she has to love someone who is out of her reach. Remembering how stupid she was that night for not recognizing Oscar right away when his face looked so familiar, and how Oscar didn't say anything until she finally realized.
"Oh! I have something for you."
She opens her bag and takes something out. A bracelet with a four-leaf clover. "I don't have the skill to draw, and I wouldn't risk making your helmet look ugly."
Oscar takes the bracelet and immediately puts it on. "I can't agree more. But it's more than enough," he replies mischievously while laughing. He is so happy to see the bracelet now neatly wrapped around his wrist. "Thank you."
"Your lucky charm when I'm not around."

Prompt: Cock Warming
Summary: It's very hard to sit still when you're sat in Professor Parker's lap.

V (sharply): "Snapdragons."
Misty: "Your favorite scent?"

Jackie: "Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?"

Misty: "Average hours of sleep?"

I think we talked about this over on ao3 but honestly re2r's ada just doesn't make sense to me. The FBI cover is logical (when you first think about it), but the way she's immediately pulling a gun on Annette the minute they see her and DECLARING her intentions isn't. She then proceeds to reveal her target is Annette, and then her going with the FBI thing becomes less logical, bc why would Annette hand over the G-Virus sample to the feds, either? It's entirely a shock factor thing revolved around Leon, she's only fooling him -- or maybe, she's fooled Ben like this, too, and was forced to stick to her cover when shit went down, we don't know 😭 why did they do my girl ada like that... (ngl re4r ada supremacy. period.)
But either way, un-truths she would throw as a bone to a "civilian" like Leon would of course be caught by Vera, nugget by nugget, while still making her think "mayhaps the FBI is misinformed????" -- I didn't want to ruin that fine line by Ada going on about Annette making the virus and her being the most dangerous of all "g-virus g-virus g-virus" or whatever because 1) WHY WOULD A SPY DO THAT???? 2) it would surely make Vera go "yeah NOPE" 💀💀

I think I wrote it in passing that Vera was disguised as a secretary and sat back-to-back with Jill on a booth in one of those occasions? She's loosely connected to re3r by having a brief appearance in carlos' police station section in my head, entrusting Jill to him and all and promising to meet up with them in the station once she talks to her dad about it ☹

1. X Men movie series. Definitely, absolutely, undoubtedly, comfort movie. X Men. I remember watching the prequels with my brother as a kid when it's only the two of us at home. It's not just a comfort movie it's literally a fricking nostalgia for me. Then continued watching the whole timeline when I had my own computer.
2. STAR WARS MOVIES!!! Been a fan since I was a literal toddler and grew up with this. All sorts of nostalgia will come rushing to me and I will immediately feel hugged everytime I listen to the theme and just, see a familiar character. hey I don't know any lore cause I don't watch the cartoons but I watch enough to know what's going on🤷
3. Mean Girls. Yes, I watch Mean Girls on repeat everytime I eat lunch, it helps me eat cause I get distracted by all the drama going on, it's not nostalgic or anything cause I first watched it like two years ago but it is definitely a favourite and an absolute comfort movie.
4. Any Ghibli movies, I mean cmon, Ghibli!!! All my childhood anime movies are made from Ghibli. I love every single one of themm
5. Any Barbie movies (especially the Mariposa one, and the Princess Academy one and OMG THE MERMAID ONE!!) wait the mermaid one definitely needs its own like thing but I'm just putting it here. THE MERMAID BARBIE IS SO ICONIC I LOVE THAT MOVIE SO SO MUCH omg I have to rewatch
6. Twilight Series. Don't- actually. yes. I don't care anymore, I will not keep denying the fact that I LOVE this movie. It's part of my childhood and this movie really gave me alot of memories, I always watch the series whenever I'm sad or stressed about school..which is, all the time.
7. GOTG trilogy. Ugh, I mean I'm a Marvel fan in general (but I lean more to X Men), but Guardians Of The Galaxy will always be special to me. And the trilogy ended this year too and lemme tell you i CRIED. I remember begging my brother to lend me his USB so I can watch the first movie, and I did (took me a few weeks) and then BAM! Found comfort characters, all their songs became my comfort songs and immediately became a comfort movie, seriously the whole movie feels like home to me, god I love them.
8. Brokeback Mountain. I don't need to say anything about this, explains alot already.
9. Interstellar. Loved that movie to the CORE. watched it on the cinema and this movie made me fall in love with Nolan.
10. mmm I can't think of anything anymore but uhhh 2001: A Space Oddysey. Love it forever and always, the beginning of time and all that, loved the book it's one of my favourite books. And then the movie was just out of this world (literally) soundtrack? Top. Acting? Absolutely fantastic. Cinematography? yES. Perfection. I have an interest in the topic which is why I just feel so happy when I rewatch it..

Oh a tag game!
I'm in the mood for some pure unapologetic fun/chaos, so lemme outline some complete insanity–
Ok so, imagine post canon established hwz end up in a parallel world for some reason or other – that world being a pre-war mdzs. First off, this is incredibly annoying for zzs because he is missing a lot of info here and goes full spymaster to find out more, meanwhile hy keeps getting mistaken as some lordling or other, while wkx preens that clearly now hy and him share a last name and proceeds to tell every passerby that this is due to wkx marrying into the wen clan and 'wen xu' insisting on him taking on the name. Everyone they encounter is incredibly bewildered; wen xu married a man?! Wen xu is slumming it without retainers? Oh god why did he suddenly turn so much more competent and lowkey??
Wkx is having the time of his life, hy is mildly uncomfortable with the constant attention, and zzs is just Existing. Shenanigans ensue before they return to their own world as suddenly as they came, leaving absolute chaos in their wake.
Of course if that's too insane for you, i can also alternatively offer:
Hy's birthday is coming up, and wkx only finds out because zzs is being shifty. So wkx stalks zzs when he goes down into the town to 'buy more wine' and instead finds him comissioning a hairpin. Clearly wkx has to find out why, for whom; and then naturally find something else he can gift hy in an attempt to one-up zzs and thoroughly spoil hy

It's not that Zhou Zishu has never seen Han Ying lose his temper. He has, a handful of times. However, a handful is still small enough that it's always notable when it does happen, and additionally, he's never been there to see Han Ying's temper steadily rising over time, nor the exact moment when it boils over.
"Kexing," Han Ying says, hands balled into fists at his side. "Has it occurred to you that no one would have known who I supposedly am if you didn't keep telling them! Everyone has been very clear! They've never seen Wen Xu before in their life. Which is good for them, since they all seem to hate him—correctly, it seems, if he's the reason they're all living so miserably—but you decided it was a good idea to not only accept the one foolish old man who said I looked just like him, but also to throw his name around everywhere! If someone comes trying to kill Wen Xu, I'll be sure to thank you!" And with that last shouted barb, Han Ying storms off, leaving Wen Kexing standing dumbstruck in the middle of the room.
"Good job, Lao Wen," Zhou Zishu says, smirking a little.
Wen Kexing whirls on him. "How are you so calm about this, then?"
"I already saw someone flying with my own eyes, nothing is going to startle me now."
and secondly:
"A-Xiang," Wen Kexing calls imperiously. "Come here."
Gu Xiang rolls her eyes, but puts down the book she's been plodding through and comes over to her brother. "What?"
He glares at her. "I know I raised you to be more polite than that, are your manners truly so lacking?"
She sticks her tongue out at him. What kind of question is that, anyway? "Is that all? Can I go back to my book now?"
"Hmph. No, I need you to tell me if you've heard anything from the other disciples about Han Ying's birthday."
Gu Xiang stares at him. "Wait, you're sleeping with him and you don't even know his birthday?"
Wen Kexing leaps to his feet, and grabs for her ear. "Who taught you to say such things in public?" he scolds.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, ge, leave me alone!"
"Answer the question!"
Gu Xiang pouts up at him, head tilted to the side since he still hasn't let go of her ear. "I think Zichen said something about they're trying to get Han-dage some sweets from town without him knowing about them, and maybe some new brushes?"
"When?"
"Uhhh three days from now? Unless it was four—" She yelps and finally twists away from Wen Kexing. "Three days! Go ask them yourself, I'm leaving!" Gu Xiang grabs her book, and leaps out of the courtyard as fast as she can. She'll just go somewhere else. It's not worth it.

With Tristi I did At The Drop Of A Hat and hopefully another in the future. With Cyg, I've done Capture, Grok and 4 Times Jason Hid His Trauma + 1 Time Tim Helped Him.
What’s your all time favorite ship?
I don't ship. I used to. Lots and lots. When times were simpler. But rn, my only ship is from a small but an absolutely awesome Muslim fiction book called Love From A To Z. Love those two.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Lemme look.
Okay, there's a whole document inspired by this fic called Living Dead Boy by Terranpheum, and there are some good moments I planned, but I abandoned it cuz I noticed that I didn't actually have a plot and it was just little moments.
What are your writing strengths?
Plot, ideas, outlines, dialogue, emotional rollercoasters, little bits of casefics, humor, angst, family fluff. Yeah. Oh and semicolons. Just a bit. And when I actually try, descriptions. But I have to be in a specific mood and the wind has to behave a certain way for that to happen.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Action and fight scenes. I had to employ Cyg's beta help for that. Torture I think. I want to get better at writing torture. Angst. It is both my strength and weakness.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Absolutely yes. I'm starting to use it at every chance I can. The next fic is gonna have some good ones. I'm so into it that I gave Sprite entire lessons on Arabic words and phrases. She can attest to that.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
DC. The fic's roaming around on tumblr here somewhere.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
A published one? My School's Local Mafia Boss. Because I've just... it's my first series. It's been going on for a year. I've made so many good friends in the comment sections and on other platforms and... some really really close friends. Who are just... so awesome. I can't describe /srs

But Mina is my Private Investigator or Detective in the DC universe. Originally she was made as a side character for Sophie to have friends outside the Rogue gallery. But my friend had her own DC oc, India 💖, so I was like okay lemme expand on Mina so she has more of her own personality and storyline than just being a side character. So I started to tailor-make her more for the Arkham series of games instead of Gotham. But again I just mash up stuff like I did with Sophie since it's so easy with comic book lore. I mean... DC does it to themselves just like Marvel lakfjwelkrj But I say that because uhhhhh wait idk if you've played the Arkham series games? I'm so sorry if you have not and seen spoilers every single day on my blog. But like the last game in the series makes it left open-ended Batman died and I'm like 'nah son' he does not die. So basically I do what I want as we all should so we can enjoy our fucking uhhhhhh little blorbos.
BUT the pun on her name is A. Query. Full name: Aemilia Wilhelmina "Mina" Query. Cuz I wanted someone for the Riddler LMAO just for the fucking canon character again. And at first, I toyed with Oh uh Echo and Query are henchpeople The Riddler has used but I didn't want a henchperson oc. But I love henchpeople ocs though! Ngl I read a lot of spicy riddler x reader where the reader is a henchperson, but I didn't want that for my oc but that's because I'm a terrible person and just want all my gorls OP. Also, Arkham Riddler is so fucking insufferable but I can't not have Mina fuck him!!!

Uhhh but she's a Private Investigator, licensed, she actually does not work or care for the GCPD and has a chip on her shoulder with them. So she likes to take cases from their departments and solve them before their people. But she's not taking on murder stuff, even though she could, no she's more into solving, which she has solved, a lot of missing persons and then cheating cases. LMAO she's like that fucking cheaters show and will bust people's asses for money. But she's very good at what she does and would probably be an asset if she did work for GCPD but she only really respects Gordon and Barbara there. Instead, she's fine with what she has, she's not ambitious but does like to stick her nose into things just to be knowing. Tying with Sophie she gets away with things someone on the 'side of the law' should not be able to do cuz she'll run to Sophie for protection. And she's not a bribe person I guess also? She's neutral in Gotham or does her best. She picks and chooses her battles.
So with her and the Riddler though for the longest time they never actually met in person. Instead, she's come upon his radio frequency before. After that, they talk and eventually flirt over the radio, phone, text, email, internet whatever, just anything but in person. She's a novelty item to Edward when Batman isn't paying attention to him basically. It's cuz she's solved his puzzles and riddles before so she's not just some little idiot running around Gotham. Still not as smart as him or even worthwhile other than to pass the time! But his attitude of him thinking himself smarter than everyone and being so degrading to her wears on her but instead of being 'ok bye' her ass actually starts a grudge. So she starts to make it a point to be better than him! And like the last straw is when he sets up his little challenges for Batman but it's a total coincidence, it interrupts a case she's been on for months and ruins everything. So her ass goes through the whole trouble of solving a series of riddles and puzzles meant for Batman. She went out of her way to find them all and solve them so she can confront the Riddler finally. Him getting pinged thinking it's Batman gets all excited but when he goes to confront it's Mina. He flips out just "Wtf wtf wtf you cheated! you didn't solve these! Why are you here??" but jokes on him she did it. ANYWAYS IM SORRY ITS SO LONG BUT SHORT STORY INSTEAD OF FIGHTING HIM LIKE SHE INTENDED SHE TAKES ONE LOOK AT HIS FUCKING WET BITCH PATHETIC ASS AND THEY GET IT ON. like tension but not the kind of tension he's used to where he just gets his face smashed in with the Dark Knight instead she uses her mouth on him *wink wonk* it's about the sexual tension babeeyyyyy !!!

i guess its wip saturday? apparently? @beevean tagged me but i cant name many writer mutuals off the top of my head... maybe @oopsalltes? anyway uhhh lemme find a usable chunk of writing... since i have no idea if im actually gonna finish it anytime soon, heres a chunk of chapter 3 for the scorpion and the frog
The sun was out today. The weather was fine, not too hot or too cold; the sunlight warmed his skin when he stood under it, and there was a faint breeze that tousled his hair and brushed against his face. He felt a few strands get caught in his mouth and reached to pull them away, holding the fiery red locks between his fingers. Old age had hardly done anything to his hair colour, for one thing. He almost never found any greys. His joints were also mostly fine, or so he assumed. He never got the complaints about aches and pains that everyone always went on about, aside from a twinge in the muscles here or there.
Simon huffed out a breath, leaning back against the wall of his house. From his position on the porch, just next to his door where there wasn't any shade, the light was getting in his eyes. He squinted. 79 years old, and he still wasn't used to the daytime. He could barely see a damn thing, but that didn’t stop him from being hyper-aware that people were staring at him. This was a common occurrence. He didn't particularly care, aside from the fact that it was frustrating. If people had a problem, they could just speak to him. He wasn't going to bite. He focused on his peripherals. His neighbours were watching him with tense shoulders and tight expressions, like they were waiting for him to strike. Ridiculous. As if he'd ever hurt a human before. They were going to strain themselves for no reason, going around like that. He turned his head and shot them a look, eyes piercing, which got him a mixed response of general fright and halfhearted apologetic glances as they shuffled away.
Working his jaw, Simon directed his gaze up to the sky instead, noting the position of the sun before he had to avert his eyes. Afternoon. He'd been out here for hours already, and nothing. Just like the last time, and the time before that. He growled, and then deflated slightly, exasperated, as he heard a muffled squeak of surprise from somewhere off to his left. What, was he an attraction now? He was sure there were more interesting things to be looking at than an old man waiting on a visit. Juste had been demanding he get a clock for telling the time, because the light made his eyes sting and looking to the sun whenever he needed to check the hour didn't help. Frankly, Simon didn't see the issue. Only so much damage the sun could still do to someone his age.
He'd take more of the fussing yet, if it meant an end to three months of nothing. It had been three months, and his grandson hadn't shown up once. Not to the village, or to his house, or anywhere in the area at all. The last time Simon had seen him, he was practically vibrating with joy, because his friend Maxim was due to return soon from his training expedition, and Juste had missed him more than a man would miss water in the desert. He'd sent the boy off on his way, if only so his gushing wouldn't rupture his eardrums. And now, there was a complete and total absence where Juste should be. His friends, too. The swordsman, Maxim, and Lydie, their mediator. Simon hadn't seen hide nor hair of any of the three since his last chat with Juste, no matter how hard or how far he looked, and he was starting to worry.
Maybe not just starting. Waiting around outside on his porch for half the day, every day, for weeks on end, hoping that Juste would finally come by was probably the start of it. Simon grunted, pushing himself away from the warm bricks. He felt stiff from all the standing, but that wouldn't be what everyone meant when they complained about their body failing them as they got old. As far as Simon was concerned, he was still in top form, for fighting and otherwise. Death didn't come with any warning for Belmonts. He recalled that his own great grandfather had been in perfect health the entire time Simon had known him, before suddenly dropping one day and never getting up again. He guessed that his life would end like that, too. Death was a bastard, and petty. That didn’t mean he wasn’t on the lookout for any sudden ailments, though.
He stretched to get his body working again, flexing his fingers. No matter how healthy you were, sitting in one spot for hours on end wouldn't make you very flexible. Simon stepped off of his porch, raising a hand to cover his face with. Still too sunny. His eyes were watering, but at least the temperature was okay. Nothing worse than a day that was blinding and sweltering all at once; made him feel like a piece of cooked meat. He heard scuttling noises someplace around him, and took them for the villagers scattering after he’d begun to move. They thought they were being subtle. That was not the case. Speaking of the villagers... scanning the area, he saw one of the men who lived further off from him tending to his garden. Joseph, if Simon remembered right. He started to walk towards him, since the man wasn't looking and Simon couldn't wave him over. The grass crunched beneath his feet, and the wind was getting stronger, now battering away at his elbow like it was an enemy. The chill wasn’t unpleasant.

It's really neat! there's like 6? i think? criminals who have all killed someone and its basically up to you to decide whether that crime is forgiven or not based on what information is given (or not you can actually vote however you want its part of the experiment) as the trial goes on more info is given bout the crime and uh lemme tell you. shits wild
