Random headcanon for Rockie:

Vickie was new in Hawkins, she moved in the summer of 1985. She immediately joined the band and because she was new, the headmaster told one of the band members to show her around. Of course, because I love clichés and I love Rockie with my entire heart, the chosen member was Robin.

Well, at first Robin wasn't too fond of the idea, because she could get incredibly socially anxious and didn't want to make a bad impression towards a possible classmate. But oh boy when she saw Vickie. That girl fell in love IMMEDIATELY.

But Vickie is a cute little awkward bisexual who is also really innocent, so even though Robin was blushing and stuttering the whoooole time, she didn't notice.

literally none of the kids can be homophobic. they all grew up with at least one great parent who'd love them no matter what. and even if they hadn't, they're all losers and weirdos. imagine them not accepting someone for??? being different?? it's literally one of the reasons why they're friends!

plus the og party has proven they don't stand homophobic comments towards will, max is already open-minded enough, and el doesn't even know what homophobia is (and i'm sure she'd find ridiculous to hate someone for that).

and the teens? we already know jonathan, steve and obviously robin wouldn't be homophobic. and nancy proves countless times in s3 that disrespecting someone for being different is humiliating and horrible.

i don't know where all of the "x character would be homophobic" arguments come from but i'm not sure we've watched the same show. news for all of you!!!! in the 80s there was more homophobia but that doesn't mean everyone was homophobic!!!
