Arranging flowers is a calming and easy activity for Adrian to do that he can't really mess up by being clumsy. Many of the flower arrangements around Pomefiore dorm are done by him

Adrian is very observant and is able to tell what people are saying by just the movement of their lips. He picked up this school by observing what other people did when assigned tasks so he didn't mess up

Adrian is a tall, handsome man. He has green eyes and short pink hair that's parted on the left with bangs that partially cover his right eye. His nails are painted a purple color that matches the shade of his eye shadow. Under his left eye is a beauty mark

Personality

Adrian is considered the "nicer" twin. In his third year he's given up bullying in hopes to better himself. He is someone who always wants to be better than he was before. He wants to eliminate what he dislikes about himself. But not all of his bully tendencies have gone away. At times he finds himself judging others though he has mostly contained his judging in his mind. And like his brother, he's spoiled and wants the best for himself. Though he isn't nearly as greedy as Damien, he was just as mean as his brother in his first 2 years at NRC

He's more of a follower than a leader. This is seen as he follows whatever his brother does. He sees this as being a supportive brother, but it leads him down the road to be a bully in his first two years

He's a romantic at heart and constantly fantasizes what it'd be like to be in a relationship with someone who truly loves him. He doesn't care for status but says he does to please his mother

Unlike his other classmates, he doesn't mind the boys at RSA. He finds them to be interesting and wants to know more about them and the school

Skills and Magic

Observant: Adrian is very observant is able to see things that people will normally look over

Adrian's Unique Magic is "Heart's Desire" After saying an incantation, he's able to temporarily put a person in a trance. In that trance, Adrian can ask a person what their true desires are and the person will respond with what they truly want. The incantation for his Unique Magic is:

After the person reveals their true desire, Adrian can take the person out of their trance. But if Adrian so chooses, he can also command the person to change their true desire by saying, "From now on your heart's desire is. . ." and then saying what their new desire is

Adrian can only change a desire, not remove it. The effects of his UM are usually permanent unless he chooses to change it back. Strong-willed people are able to resist having their desires changed in the first place or be able to reverse the effects of Adrian's UM after they're done

Background

Adrian was raised in a wealthy household where all of his needs were met and nothing was too expensive. Though because of this, he became spoiled and wouldn't accept anything but the best. His life seemed to be perfect. He had a good relationship with his entire family and many friends at school. But this perfect life was ruined when he was 9 the day his dad died. He would rarely smile and he spent most of his time laying around doing nothing

His father's death affected his school life. Like his brother, he became bitter and would snap at others which made others wary of him. When his mother remarried and he gained not only a stepfather but a stepbrother, he couldn't help but resent them. He joined his twin in ignoring his stepfather and being rude to his stepbrother. At school, he'd be grumpy and rude to others which would drive them away. But throughout this entire time, he stuck by his twin brother. He did everything with him because they were all each other had at school. He followed what his brother did because he thought that was a good way to support him through this tough time

Upon entering NRC, he was placed in Pomefiore. He hoped his brother would also be in Pomefiore, but after seeing him be placed in Scarabia, he knew Damien was angry

He followed his brother in continuing to be a bully, even though he knew it was wrong. He intended to do whatever his brother did until he had a moment of realization that he didn't have to stay this way and that he can do what he wants while still being there for his brother. He vowed from that day on to become better for himself

During the winter break in his second year, he stopped bullying others completely and made an effort to have a good relationship with his stepfather and stepbrother. He is still spoiled and at times he can be a bit rude, but he is making an effort to be a better version of himself

Notable Relationships

Damien Marwood: Adrian's relationship with his twin brother is strained. They care for each other and Adrian will always have Damien's back but Adrian can't help but feel guilty. He knows how much Damien wants what he has, but he also knows Damien needs to make changes himself, he can't do it for him. Though he also holds a small grudge against Damien because it was following him that caused Adrian to become a bully

Eden Glazier: Though Adrian hated Eden at first, he learned to let things go. When they got on friendly terms, they realized they were alike in many ways. To make up for lost time, Adrian attempts to spend as much time with Eden on breaks as possible. Adrian provides Eden with updates on how he and Damien are doing during school. Eden gave Adrian the courage to ask Trey out. Eden also trusts Adrian a lot and is the first one he calls when something bad happens that he doesn't to tell others at his school about

Trey Clover: Adrian and Trey met in their first year. Trey was kind to Adrian even though he was mean to everyone, including him. Adrian warmed up to Trey as he helped him with his alchemy work. Over time, they started to crush on each other, but neither one dares to say something to the other even though it's very obvious they have crushes on each other. Trey is also the reason why he stopped bullying others and why he wants to better himself

Vil Schoenheit: Adrian looks up to Vil, not only because he's his Housewarden and a famous actor, but because he's graceful and strong in many ways. He goes to Vil for help being more graceful and less clumsy. Though his progress was slow at first, Vil saw how much potential he had and so he continued to help him. Adrian takes any and all advice VIll gives him

Rook Hunt: Because of how weird Rook was, Adrian didn't even bother talking to him until their second year. When he actually started talking to Rook, they found out they had things in common. They often talk about Vil and how great he is, RSA boys (specifically Niege), and beauty as a whole. Though Adrian still finds Rook and his behavior weird, he considers him a good friend

Epel Felmier: Adrian treats Epel like a little brother. He tries to look out for him so he doesn't do something Vil doesn't like. He thinks if he prevents him from doing something Vil doesn't approve of, it'll save him from the scolding. At first, Epel doesn't like this, but over time he comes to appreciate him looking out for him and sees him as an older brother figure

Jade Leech: Adrian often goes to Jade to talk to him and to get advice on how to be a better twin brother. Jade has provided good advice, but there was always a price to pay for that advice. Though Adrian hates that system, Jade was able to help him realize that to be a better twin he has to accept the way his brother is and to not force change onto him

Cater Diamond: Cater and Adrian have always had a mini rivalry of sorts. They both see each other as competition for Trey's time and attention. But at the same time, they're also jealous of each other. Cater is jealous because he thinks Adrian would be a better boyfriend since he's rich. And Adrian is jealous that Cater is close to Trey in a way he feels himself and Trey aren't. This rivalry then extended to something more than just Trey's attention, they started competing in smaller levels like with quiz scores and such. Eventually, they let their rivalry go

Mozus Trein: Trein is Adrian's uncle. Adrian views Trein as a bit of a father figure while he's at NRC. During class, Trein treats Adrian as he does any other student and makes sure not to place any favoritism toward him or his brother. Not many students know Trein and Adrian are related and they like to keep it that way. And whenever Adrian needs help, academic or personal, he turns to Trein

Trivia

Adrian wears a brooch made with a heart-cut spinel gem. It was his father's that was passed down to him when he died

Adrian tends to fall in love easily and forms crushes on a lot of people before the feelings die out after a week or so

He tends to sneak in cream bread from Mr. S's Mystery Shop into Pomefiore dorm. He'll occasionally get caught by Vil

He once formed a contract with Azul but was able to meet the conditions he set so he didn't have to face any of the consequences

He first discovered his UM when he got into a fight with Damien during their first year. Adrian grabbed him by the shoulders and screamed about how he wanted to know what he wanted. That then activated his UM

Adrian was…. Let's say he's a little bit nervous.

Actually, scratch that, he's ten times more nervous than before after trying to deny it.

The question is, why is he nervous in the first place? Well, the answer is rather simple.

He wanted to give his girlfriend, Victoria Shard, the manipulative ice queen of Pomefiore, a bouquet for Valentine's day.

The problem is that he doesn't know what her favorite flowers are. Which makes him feel a bit ashamed of himself as her boyfriend and seatmate.

He leaned against his desk, pondering over what kind of flowers he should get for her. He's good at flower arranging, so there isn't a problem with that.

The issue is that he doesn't even know what flowers his girlfriend even likes.

I mean, he could do the simplest approach and just ask her. But that would just spoil the surprise. Adrian is aware that despite her notoriety in the academy, Victoria had quite a number of suitors trying to win her over with several numbers of gifts.

Which included flower bouquets.

So he obviously wanted to make the bouquet he was planning to be special for Victoria. One that would blow all the other bouquets out of the water.

Suddenly, Adrian felt a tap on the shoulder. When he looked up, he caught the magnificent sight of Victoria looking down at him with a ghost-like smile.

"Ah, dearest." He smiled, "Good to know you didn't oversleep."

Victoria playfully rolled her eyes at his attempt at teasing her and sat down next to Adrian."I'll have you know that my sleep schedule happens to be better than Vil's." She stated, making Adrian chuckle.

Although he did get some light scowls from his other classmates. Not that he was surprised.

Adrian was already aware of his relatively negative reputation because of his former status as a bully. And it didn't help that by dating Victoria, his reputation somewhat worsened because so many students were vying for her romantic affection.

As class began, Adrian and Victoria were focused on writing things down in their notebooks.

For Victoria, she was writing down her alchemy notes. But as for Adrian, he ended up spacing out and began scribbling all over his notebook instead of writing down notes.

I should probably get her her favorite flowers…. Only problem is that I, unfortunately, don't know what they are. Adrien thought, maybe I should get flowers that symbolize something significant to her?....

"Adrian…."

He smiled dreamily at the sound of Victoria calling out his name in his thoughts. But that didn't stop him from continuing to ponder over the flowers.

"Adrian."

The voice sounded more serious. And now Adrian was feeling a little perplexed over the tone of the voice.

A sigh was heard, and then he felt Victoria gently poke his forearm with her magic pen.

"Eh-?"

"Adrian, dearest, you spaced out. And…. Well, you ended up scribbling on your notebook instead of taking notes."

Looking down at his notebook, Adrian's embarrassed expression greatly amused the woman next to him.

Victoria giggled."Not to worry. You can just copy my notes after class." She said, a more visible and gentle smile on her face as she and Adrian gazed upon one another.

He smiled awkwardly.

"Haha… Thank you, dearest.."

"E-Eh? You want to know what Shard-senpai's favorite flowers are?"

Adrian nodded, politely smiling at Frisk as she stopped painting the white roses to speak with him.

"Yes. I heard you and your sister often commission clothing from her since you're friends. Is that true?"

Frisk awkwardly nodded."W-Well, yeah…. But we aren't very close. B-But I can try to help!" She exclaimed.

Adrian felt a drop of sweat fall down his forehead. This girl is more socially awkward than I thought….

"Well- I think her favorite flowers are indigos and violets."

Adrian's eyebrows raised."How so?" He asked curiously, his voice gentle so as to not intimidate Frisk.

Frisk fiddled with her fingers."She often incorporates them into her fashion designs. I and Freyah often encounter them when we see her sketches…" she replied curtly.

Adrian furrowed his eyebrows."I see…." He murmured, taking in the information as fast as he could.

Humming to himself, he sent Frisk a nod."Thank you, De La Rose." He said, beginning to turn away from the red-headed girl.

He could practically hear the smile Frisk made as she said the words "I wish you luck, senpai!"

Adrian looked away, feeling a bit anxious to be in the presence of this particularly intimidating underclassman.

Azrail. He didn't know much about the sarcastic herbology-obsessed inventor, but he sure as hell knows that he at least respects Victoria.

"What the hell do you want, Marwood?"

He'll be honest, he didn't particularly like the attitude Azrail was giving him at the moment. But he couldn't blame him, especially with his reputation as a former bully.

"I just-"

"Let me guess, you wanna know what Vic's favorite flowers are? Trust me, I sure as hell don't know but I know flowers that can perfectly convey what kind of person she is."

Adrian was…. Genuinely surprised. He knew Azrail was a perceptive young man.

But he didn't know that he was this perceptive.

"Try begonias and forget-me-nots. Begonias symbolize intelligence, whereas forget-me-nots can symbolize remembrance."

Azrail stood up, picking up what seemed to be a relatively heavy box of scrap metal for his latest invention."If you'll excuse me, I have to finish my solar-powered Rube Goldberg machine. So please, leave my room."

The cold dead-eyed stare he sent was enough for Adrian to literally sprint out of Azrail's room in mere minutes.

He'll definitely consider the begonias and forget-me-nots alongside Frisk's suggestion of violets and indigos.

Finally, after a long while of picking the flowers of his choice, Adrian smiled proudly at the finished product.

He decided to go for violets and forget-me-nots with a couple of ivories mixed into the bouquet.

He would've gone to Zen for advice, but alas, he knew that the boy would somehow blurt out the surprise to his best friend, aka his girlfriend.

So now, he had no choice but to give the bouquet to Victoria, since he was running out of time to give them to her.

It didn't help that he had been avoiding her the entire day just so he couldn't spoil his surprise.

So now, he walked into his dormitory's forests, going to the small space that Victoria would always go to to have some alone time.

The sun was setting, she was sitting on a log, looking down at the nearby pond.

She looked radiant. Ethereal. Enchanting.

But those words wouldn't be enough to express how much Adrian could describe Victoria. They wouldn't be enough to describe how he would worship the ground she walked on if she asked.

Adrian gulped. I…. I hope she likes this… he thought before walking up behind her.

He rested his head on her shoulder, hiding the bouquet behind his back. Feeling the weight against her shoulder and finding her boyfriend to be the source, Victoria chuckled and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Hello, dearest."

Adrian greeted, blushing with a smile.

Victoria noticed that he was something behind his back and arched her brow. She stood up."Dearest, what are you hiding behind your back?" She questioned, eyes narrowing.

Taking a deep breath, Adrian looked directly into Victoria's sapphire eyes.

".... This is for you, my queen."

Adrian revealed the bouquet, and Victoria's eyes widened.

To say she was bewildered was an understatement. The fact that she was so stunned that she barely moved kind of made Adrian a little proud of himself.

But the silence grew. It lengthened itself and it didn't disappear for minutes on end.

And Adrian began to get worried. Did she not like the gift? Could he have done better? Did someone already give her a gift more worthy than his own?

Adrian's mind was flooding with these thoughts, and it almost became too much to handle….

Until Victoria pressed her lips against his forehead. Taking the bouquet and putting it into her hands.

All with a gentle, beautiful smile. One that wasn't ghost-like in the slightest.

"Thank you, my dear…. I shall treasure this bouquet with all my heart." Hearing that out of what Adrian would call an angelic voice made his heart flutter.

And his grin couldn't have been any wider when he finally pulled her into a tight hug.

"I'm glad you adore it, dearest."

5. What type of canon character and/or OC do you think has good design? (And why?)

I really love Idia's design (sure that's no surprise) I think the idea of his hair, looks and personality came together to make a very fun character. I also think he's one of the most expressive characters.

I enjoy the subtleties in Riddles design, even if it seems very plain he's nice to look at! Anytime he's in a card my eye gets drawn to him. Not to mention the whole Heartslabyul aesthetic looks great on him. His original card is one of my favs.

Jamil has a great design too, his hair, his eye shape, and he consistently has great outfits/cards. (Call him Ranch cuz he be dressin' and all that). Even though he may not be the most expressive he has an aloof air about him that really conveys his character.

For OC's ahhh its hard bc I love all my friends ocs designs. But off the top of my head, I really love the designs of @twst-the-night-away, @the27th, @cherryjkj, @the-trinket-witch, @oseathepebble, @vaporvipermedia and @bunnwich. @twst-the-night-away has great ocs one of my favs is who I did a commission of Sparky! He has interesting lore and backstory and I think is such a fun addition to Ignihyde. @the27th Has a Yu character design based on one of my fav old horror game, IB, his name is Yves and he's very cute and sweet! I love his concept and design. @cherryjkj Has a whole fandorm dedicated to Sugar Rush from Wreck it Ralph which is really fun and cool! And a cute Yuusona named Yuka whose design I love! @the-trinket-witch Has their character based of Mary Poppins Albert Eastwind who I can tell they put a lot of love into. They also have a great steam punk au! @oseathepebble Who created their MC Tsukiko who I adore! And a lot of other OC's my other favs are Damien and Adrian who are based off Cinderella's step sisters! @vaporvipermedia Has the wonderful Kei Yoshihiko and Blaze. I love their art style and how they design outfits and characters! They have wonderful lore too! (They have lots more Oc's but those stand out to me right now~) And of course, last but not least, my bff @bunnwich who has Yume's brother Yuuta as well as Del Lethe and Elie Akane. I really love how bun adapted our old OC's Del and Elie to the twst verse and have so much fun talking with them about theories, hcs, aus, and character analysis!

If you are a moot and I didn't tag you please don't feel discouraged. I could go on and on about all of my wonderful moots and friends ocs but a post can only be so long. And like I said these were off the top of my head.
