Ok I try to stay outta fandom stuff but I just wanna say this.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions about a character. That is completely valid and ok. The great thing about fictional stories is that everyone can have different takeaways.

What's not ok is putting your negative opinions of a character into a post that is very clearly expressing love or positivity for that character. That is not a space to say you hate the character or express your opinions of that character, that is for the people who love that character. Not You.

If you must express your opinions, make your own post about it and leave it out of that character's tag/tag it as anti-"character" or "character" hate.

If you take issues with certain opinions or takes on characters, block the person or character name/tag freely. Don't interact.

It's important to start transforming fandoms into respectful spaces rather than the trash heap they've been known to be, and that starts by respecting others opinions of characters.

Ryan Leroux, 21

Ryan Leroux, a twenty-one year old black man, was shot twenty-four times on July 19th. 

Paul Leroux, his father, says that he was in a bad place. He had mental issues. He had lost his job, grandmother, and his girlfriend. He was living in his car, and had bought a gun for his own protection. 

The police got involved when Ryan was at a drive-through and refused to pay for his food or exit the drive-through. A police officer arrived and observed a gun in Ryan’s lap, calling for backup and asking for Ryan to get out of the car.

The chief of police said he was not being cooperative and getting out of his car, so the police at the scene used force. They were supposed to wait for a negotiator. They ended up shooting Ryan twenty-four times, but this number might change, as this case is still being investigated.

Happy CLAMP Day!

A little late but I was busy making a little bouquet of cherry blossoms as you can see. Because what’s better than one Sakura? Two Sakuras, dressed in sakura themed outfits, as they indulge in sakura based desserts and drinks, overlaid on a stock image of sakura blossoms. I just really wanted to keep it simple and I was in the mood for something sweet and very pink so I thought it would be fun to have Princess Sakura and Cardcaptor Sakura all dressed up for the special day. 

I definitely wanted them to match in theme but still maintain the general tone of their respective series so baby Sakura has a much more sweeter and frillier look while teen Sakura has a more mature silhouette and feel to her outfit. To further add to the cherry blossom feel, I thought it would be fun to give them cherry blossom related food items that I looked up, so baby Sakura has a cherry blossom jelly and coconut panna cotta while Princess Sakura is enjoying a cherry blossom milk latte. It just felt like it added to the birthday feel without having to resort to an actual cake.

I hope you all had a fun CLAMP Day, an equally funny April Fool’s, or a relaxing Friday! Drawing at least one Sakura every CLAMP day is a tradition for me and I’m glad that I didn’t skip it this year, even if I’m 30 minutes late, haha!

ugh just stumbled across another “abusive evil carmilla” fic while looking for angst. it was tagged “canon-typical awful carmilla” or some shit, just say you don’t know anything about her canon and go

I am fuming and frothing at the mouth bc Instagram showed me a fancam of Johnny depp with a caption like “how could he ever abuse a woman!!)!?! Look at him being nice to these kids on the pirate movie set 🥰😍😍😌” like way to tell on yourself. You don’t give a fuck about domestic abuse survivors you are just consumed by celebrity culture and it’s blinding you completely. Even if he is the victim here (which I doubt) that post is so evil to me. Any person can be extremely charming and seemingly sweet and still a monster behind closed doors!!! It’s not either/or!!! It’s actually quite common for abusers to put on a good face, that’s how they get away with being abusers!!!! And saying “look at this good thing this person did, they can’t possibly be an abuser!” Is so stupid and wrong!!!! It makes me want to scream!!!!!!!! Whatthefuck!!!!!!!

The fact that literally the entire comments section of a video of Amber Heard's first day of testimony posted on Instagram by NPR the fucking National Public Radio account is just full of people calling her a liar, saying that she's acting, that she's putting on a performance, that they couldn't see any tears (when they criticized her for crying beforehand 🙄), and making jokes like "this is the best acting I've ever seen her do" or "meh I liked her performance in X movie better" and "this feels like an audition monologue" is some of the grossest shit I have ever seen. I saw literally one(1) comment that was even a little bit on her side saying something like "idk much about this havent been following too close but its interesting and unsurprising to me that the public sides with the charming man and villifies the possible victim of abuse"

Literally only one person went "hmm maybe I should point out how people are vilifying this woman as she speaks about a possibly traumatic moment in her life while in a courtroom on a video posted by NfuckingPR"

It is so interesting to me how this isn't even a trial about whether Amber abused Johnny or of who abused who, it is a defamation trial brought about because this man who was proven to be violently belligerent when he was drunk or high, not just by Amber but by people he has worked with on sets before, was getting less work and being fired because of his behavior and because of his refusal to address his own disease of addiction in any meaningful way.

I am not here to call Amber Heard an innocent victim, there are inconsistencies in her evidence just as there are in Johnny Depp's, but it is a fact that she was able to prove 12 of 14 accusations of abuse against him and it is a fact that Johnny Depp has been violent towards coworkers on set in the past and turning this domestic abuse defamation trial into chopped up little sound bites and Twitch/YouTube streamer content and Wii music remixes and little Instagram memes is abhorrent behavior.

These are real human people, and either one of them could be possible victims of domestic abuse yet the world is treating this like it's the biggest new Netflix show as if every new video being released from this trial is just the next episode of Euphoria as if this isn't a traumatic event happening to real life breathing, eating, and shitting human fucking beings. Everything I see of this trial and everything it is encouraging (Marilyn Manson deciding to sue his victim for defamation for example) just makes me want to tear my hair out.

I just wish it wasn't so predictable that the second a likeable Hollywood leading man was accused of being an abuser and his possible victim wasn't the perfect poster child for abuse victims the whole world turned against her. It's like everything Amber does is going to solidify her guilt to these Depp fanatics and everything he does will only solidify his innocence as if this is some black and white issue with a clear victim and clear villain when it's not, it is a real life relationship that lasted over a decade that ended violently and traumatically for all parties involved, this is not your favorite soap opera with characters who have clear roles in the story, this is real fucking life and I would appreciate it if people fucking acted like it

I'm so frustrated that just one negative sentence towards me can ruin my mood for a whole day, at least in my experience w/ my adhd anyway

And im not talking about like, 'i dont like you' comments, im talking about the minor negative comments that you might get when you go looking for a little validation for finishing something, or those comments that misconstrue your words or the meaning behind your words when you're just trying to prefunctionarily say words bc you were asked something, bc then it just. Invokes a form of guilt that i dont know how to explain but its exhausting and literally just leaves me wrecked for hours??
