Eid Mubarak!!!

I hope everyone had a pleasant Eid today, the weather had warmed up just in time on my end! It was very fun and relaxing to just spend time with my cousins and not have to run from open house to open house today, and that's what sorta inspired this piece. I've usually only been drawing just Fatin so I thought I would mix it up by drawing her with her friend Karam. It's been ages since I last drew them so dressing both Karam and Fatin for an Eid piece was fun to do. I wanted to illustrate them as if they were gossiping about the other guests only to pointedly make eye contact with you, the viewer. They were either talking about you or believing you would enjoy this piece of gossip and want to call you over, your choice. Please click on the image - for some reason, Tumblr made the colors a bit dim.

For those who celebrate, I hope everyone had a pleasant Eid al-Fitr. It might have been difficult to enjoy it given recent world events but I hope this day treated you well, that you and your family had a pleasant and relaxing day, and that you all got to eat something yummy.

Ooohhh I didn't expect the tables to get turned on me, haha!

It's been a while since I published any fanfic or original work so it took me a bit of searching and scrolling but I did find some stuff! I'm also going to cheat by doing multiple lines and also going from my published and unpublished stuff if that's alright. It's mainly because a lot of my published stuff is old work and I want to prove I can still write somewhat decently haha!

Published

Kiss it Better (Ladybug, PV verse): “I’d be a little disappointed if you didn’t,” she finally said and she could practically see Chat Noir’s mind stutter to a stop. His smile fell and Ladybug felt her heart drop, wishing she hadn’t said something so careless.

Shadow Jump (Ladybug, PV verse): Plagg floated over to the ring, the red and green gems reflected in his large feline eyes. In an expression filled with awe, he looked to Felix and flashed a cheeky grin. “Looks like you’re awakening to new powers, kid.”

Tattered Silk Ribbons (Ladybug, PV verse): “Ladybug!!” he called out again, more desperate than he’s ever been in his life, hoping that she’ll run up to him with a bright smile and a lighthearted apology on her lips.

Midnight Flowers (Ladybug, PV verse): Chat Noir didn’t respond back as he returned his attention to finishing his crown, but in the dim light, she could spy a shy smile that felt vaguely familiar to her.

The Perils and Consequences of Egg Salad Sandwiches at 2am (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles): “Welcome back!” Fai called, his voice returning to his sing-song lilt as if they just didn’t have a run in with a terrifying, man-eating creature. “We made some sandwiches for you, they’ll be right out!”

disconnection (crossover between TMNT and Batman): All he knows is that he’s in a rainy alley and knows that his masters have been slain, leaving the child crying and alone — keep him close. How could he not? His heart aches to look at him. So Splinter pulls him out of the lamplight and into his arms within the shadows, tail curling protectively around him.

Untitled (crossover between Cyborg 009 and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go): So Joe really wanted to enjoy this. Enjoy the morning spring breeze as he sat on the porch, listening to the glass wind chime ring. But it was taking all of his willpower to not search the skies for any abnormalities or listen to the radio to see if anything popped up. Peace should be a good thing.

Françoise shook her head. “Like I said, I didn’t want to pry.” She took another sip of her water and a beat of silence passed between them as Joe gave her an expectant look. Françoise sighed and Joe couldn’t help but smile back. “But…”

Shut your mouth before I shut it for you (Twisted Wonderland): “As if gossiping like a bunch of third graders gives you any moral high ground,” Ace coldly replied, his magical pen already spinning between his fingers. “What was it about acting so self-important with a lack of talent? Because I don’t see anything special about you two besides a bad dye job and a dank sewer smell.”

You can really see how my interests have shifted from focusing mainly on Ladybug before revisiting and diversifying my hyperfixations haha! A lot of these are based on prompts as well but I like them all the same. I might have to publish some of these because I do like what I have written but fic writing hasn't always been my main form of creativity, if that makes sense.

Fashionable clothing that allows full range of motion.” “Yeah, see that I can agree o-” “So that you are both fabulous AND mobile for COMBAT TO THE DEATH!” “NOOOoOoOoOOO!!” “Me?” the blue thing asked, then offered a chuckle that raised every hair on Monghost’s head and set every nerve jangling like an alarm bell. “I’m the kwami of warriors! The Collector: 'Nother Tie... both by the same chara again John looked around at the murmuring voices and flashing lights of Thunderbird 5 and blinked. “Ummmm…” Yup. Scott was fine.

As the Wyrm Turns: “Decided he was a 18th century Galleon Captain.”

Manhunt: Paul sat down beside him and rested a hand on Adam’s shoulder, ignoring the tears he could see escaping past Adam’s hand and how his breath hitched, knowing there was nothing left to say, but determined to be there anyway.

Happy CLAMP Day!!!

I had a whole other composition planned out but I wasn't feeling well today and things have been so hectic as of late but I'm glad I got this done! Sakura will always be my number one favorite character so I just wanted to draw only her today and I didn't dress her in pink last time I did so I wanted to correct that mistake haha! I recently saw the cherry blossoms in DC earlier in March but they were all white so while that was disappointing, I had to add more pink in this piece and give Sakura all the pink blossoms I missed out on. A little touch of gold for the birthday girl was also necessary so I hope this looks alright here!

"Do you prefer your tea served high or low?"

Another request sent through the @twst-charity drive for Palestine! This time I had the pleasure of drawing Riddle and @catto-qyeen's OC and her pets at a tea party! I'll admit, I had a little bit of trouble figuring out the composition so I could show off everyone and the outfits I designed for them, but then I thought of arranging the tables like a tiered tea tray. It gives it a fun wacky Wonderland vibe that I felt was fitting and I was able to show off a bunch sweets and keep everyone in frame! Catto's OC is so cute and I love lolita fashion too so this was a dream to work on in terms of outfits, I hope you like it!

It's been so long since I touched watercolors and I've had this new paint set for a while now, so it felt like the perfect time to use it. This was another request for submitted through @twst-charity for Palestine and I was so happy to complete this! They requested creepy and cute Shroud brothers and I thought I would lean into the Greek underworld route since Idia is specifically based off of Disney's Hades. Designing his and Ortho's outfits were very fun, especially when I was able to incorporate some gold embellishments to their look to stand out and give a bit of an antique-like feel to the illustration. I liked it so much, I had to add gold to the flowers, skull, a tiny part of the pomegranate slices, and on the chalices.

Here is a better image of the glitter actually glittering but I had to tilt the image at angle for it to be seen so it's a bit cropped.

It's time to let this one go. A summertime drawing started in 2021, featuring characters of my own and from many of my wonderful mutuals, including @citrinafyre, @njamil21, @lord-owlsnake, @bierhund, and @squeempus

The initial sketch. I knew when I started this one that it would probably be pushed back, but three years is long enough to hold on to it. I do think there's still a lot to enjoy with the linework and overall composition, so I didn't want it to remain hidden forever as it ate at my sanity.

Happy Late Valentine's Day!

This is incredibly late but I wanted to just finish this properly and get this posted. I was doing research and came across Erotes and got interested in making some designs and as I'm currently taking an online course on UI/UX designers so I thought it would be fun to create modern versions of them as developers on a dating app.

First is Anteros, the Erotes of requited love and the head UX designer of the app, Cupid Connect. He's very eager to help as many clients get their happily ever after so he helps manage deadlines and making sure the app runs smoothly. Anteros may not be in a relationship himself, but he's very excited to see people find their happily-ever-afters through the app! Hedylogos is the Erotes of flattery so naturally he's their PR manager and UX researcher, connecting directly with clients to get their honest feedback so the app can be easily used and understood by all. He's a sweet talker and likes to keep the atmosphere light by bringing homemade candies to the office to pick everyone up. Hedylogos tends to lay it on thick when it comes to compliments but his friends learned to understand that's just how he operates.

Hermaphroditus, as an Erotes of androgyny, was hard to pin down as to what their role on the team would be but I thought having them be the UX designer overseeing the safety features of the app would be best. Love is meant to be safe in the end and they would like to make sure all clients can experience their app and avoid any potential dangers when using it. In their free time, Hermaphroditus likes to garden and will occasionally bring flowers to the office. Hymenaeus is the Erotes of marriage so he does a lot of the heavy lifting of UX development in managing clients' information and helping Anteros in the match-making department. I like to think he worked as a wedding planner before so Hymenaeus also works as an event planner for the app, so couples can meet on safer grounds to get to know one another. People tend to look at Hymenaeus when it comes to throwing the best parties.

Pothos is the Erotes of yearning so as the UI designer, he makes sure that not only does the app look pleasing to the eye, but that also the client can navigate the app and get the love they long for. He can relate to wanting to be with the one you love, as he's in a long-distance relationship at the moment so he enjoys this aspect of the job. When Pothos isn't video chatting with his sweetheart, he likes to go drinking with the rest of the team. Last but not least, is Himeros, the Erotes of unrequited love and desire, so he works as another UI designer. Himeros will sometimes add articles regarding intimacy tips on the home page so clients can use that as they will but he'd like to upload advice on what happens when finding love is difficult, especially given their clientele. It hasn't been approved since that might be a bad look for the app but Himeros still tries.

This was insanely long and I'm so sorry about that. It's all just been rattling around in my brain for two months so I just wanted it out and posted before February was done. I hope you all had a great Valentine's day and enjoying some now half-priced chocolates on sale!
