How did you get into acting? Was it something you've always wanted to do?

My mother forced me to become an actor when I was seven, and then refused to let me quit, even though I literally begged her to stop making me work. She used and exploited me to get things she wanted for herself.

I sincerely believed acting was something I wanted to do, because my mother manipulated and gaslighted me my entire childhood. I was completely brainwashed. By the time I was old enough to realize that not only was it not my idea, but that I didn't have to be an actor any more if I didn't want to, I was terrified I would be the huge failure my abusive father always made me believe I was, so I kept trying to be an actor well into my 30s.

In my 40s, I decided to retire from acting on-camera, and use what I'd learned over the years to work as a voice actor, audiobook narrator, and writer. I'm a New York Times bestselling author! And number on audiobook narrator!

I just turned 50 in July. I'm still doing the performing and entertaining work I'm pretty good at, but I'm only doing it on my terms. My favorite thing I'm doing right now is hosting The Ready Room, the official online destination for all things Star Trek universe.

I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. I'm truly thriving. I've been married for almost 24 years, I have two wonderful children and a daughter-in-law I love like my own. It's a really good life, but I'm not going to lie: I had to crawl through a LOT of shit to get here.

One of the most diabolical characters in the original novel is called The Coachman. He is a seemingly friendly character who takes children to "Toyland", which is secretly a child slavery ring. [This is a fairy-tale warning to children about individuals who might seem trustworthy and appealing on the outside, but are inwardly looking to exploit you.]

Pinocchio and lampwick are both transformed into donkeys and enslaved. Lampwick is sold and doesn't appear again until the end of the story. Pinocchio begins working at a farm and doesn't recognize him at first. Lampwick then dies in Pinocchio's arms, much to Pinocchio's grief.

In one of the game's loading screens, we learn that Romeo made a "deal with the devil" to be made into a puppet so he could survive the disease and protect the city. "The devil" is implied to be Geppetto (also not the first time Geppetto is referred to as "The devil"). Geppetto then has P turn on him.

Who else refers to Geppetto as "the devil"? Let's go to where we meet Geppetto for the first time on the bridge. This is the mad donkey boss battle.

We slaughter a "Mad donkey" right in front of him. Geppetto's first appearance is him stepping out of a COACH CAR.

Giuseppe isn't just Geppetto from the book.

The urge to write a superboy and lilo & stitch crossover (with minor yj crossover) then explore all the f-up parts of Kon's "childhood"

A correctional officer enters a subway, cuts infront of me and my mum because his wife is ordering for her two kid sons and teenage daughter.

The wife hits one of the sons, and demands that he eats his subway when she buys it, though she is letting him eat an entire bag of chips right before she orders the damn subway.

When the daughter's subway is being made, she wants nothing more on the subway than just the cheese and meats, so she tells her mom that. Her mom tells the sandwich artist the same. Her father later asks her what she wanted on her subway, she walks up and says 'nothing..I already told mom', to which the father responds with 'Oh but you're a typical female, I figured you'd change your mind'.

Now this man is wearing his correctional officer uniform and everything, and even talks to the sandwich artist about it. Apparently the lady sandwich artist had a past boyfriend who was a correctional officer, so wowzers.

The kid sons tell the mom what they wanted on their subways, and when she gives it to them, she put something on both of them that they didn't want. She told them to shut up, and that 'they just automatically put that on there' when they said they didn't want that, when it was a mistake on her part because it was an add-on topping.

It took them a half an hour to order, then they ate inside. As me and my mum were ordering, and a guy was waiting in line, they carried on with their bullshit at their table.

Eventually, after an afternoon and evening of driving around. They come to their last stop. The place they'll be staying at. For how long? They don't know.

Everyone in the back of the car flinches when the back doors are opened.

Alright. Come with children.

Commands the guardian as they use one hand to grab and pick up the unconscious draconic one off the floor and carries them easily as if they were a weightless rice bag. The children, worried about what will happen if they do not obey, follow him.

They follow him into a seemingly large house with high concrete fences and walls in the middle of a relatively expensive looking neighborhood.

They are lead to the rooms that will be considered their living quarters. Which you think would be in the main areas like a normal house. But no. They are instead lead into a series of connected rooms inside the basement with no windows. Basic bedding. Not really much of anything other than that and the most basic of lighting.

And they're all told to stay there. Except for one.

Mari is then lead to a different room. Alone.

Keep Sweet: Prey and Obey was so horrifying but I couldn’t look away. Men will do anything in the name of God to justify absolutely heinous actions. The followers have nothing left to do but watch. They are isolated and are taught to put all their faith in one man, as if that doesn’t go against The Bible and it’s teachings of not following false idols. This could possibly be a stretch, but if Thunderhoof’s dad hated him since birth, and he got traumatised by drugs in his youth, did Hoof’s father have something to do with what happened with the drugs?

Also, could his past be related as to how he wanted to take in Sunny and Sides? He seems to be too close with Sunstreaker (given the passed down jewellery, people who were oayed to party with him, and sitting on the Don’s table in our first image of the stag) for it to just be “hey, you could be useful.”

Sure did! Man took hard drugs to cope with the loss and the hate for the thing he brought into his home and kept alive only because of the government stipend, and then he dealt them! And it was hell in Thunderhoof’s home—if it could be called that—the day drugs entered the door.

Hoof tried to flush it down once he was old enough to figure out this stuff was Bad and his dad was clearly suffering due to it chasing that high, but he got beaten within an inch of his life when his dad found out (DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THEY COST HIM YOU WORTHLESS LITTLE FREAK) and he’s lived with his dad’s episodes since.

Sometimes if his dad needed extra cash for food or whatever because money went to drugs, Hoof himself was horribly exploited—pushed to illegally sell blood/plasma for a quick buck, had samples collected from him from shady researchers interested in his mutation for a bigger pay, had new Beastmen-focused medicine tested on him because he was ‘unique’ for similar reasons. He was often told to go with it because this would be the only reason his dad would keep him here, better here than in a fuckin lab.

When Hoof got older, bigger and his antlers started to grow in, dad (wisely) mellowed out a bit and tried to coax him to try out the stuff/get him into the business—Hoof obviously rejected all of that and left the house as soon as he could after a massive, violent blowout between the two.

I’d say yeah, it’s why he’s initially quite fatherly/protective over Sunstreaker, who also did not have a good parental relationship. Sunny’s sullen, wrathful little face when they first met reminded him of himself as a kid, so being nice and ‘parenting’ Sunny, in his own way, is sort of like him being the dad that the broken child in him desperately needed/wanted.

He spoiled that boy, sure, but even if they have their disagreements and he’s perpetuating an entirely different set of issues for Sunny, a big part of him doesn’t regret reaching out to this wary streetcat of a kid in the end, and he is genuinely proud of the guy Sunny grew up to be. Think of their relationship as a Yondu-Peter Quill type thing!

the way that a year before it came out that I got groomed as a child by a fully grown man, Eastenders had done a beautifully told storyline of a mother finding out her daughter had been groomed. It was such a great example of what a loving parent does in that situation. The mother was loving and understanding, making sure her girl knew that it wasn't her fault. The girl didn't understand she had been abused and her mum was so patient in reiterating every time she argued that what he'd done to her was wrong.

The mum called the police when she found out, obviously, and a lot of the story was the mother working against the daughters wishes to get her the justice she deserved. The girl wasn't cooperative with the police or the court and there were moments her mum sat with her and told her that she was still in the abuse even with the abuser locked up, and that she needed to tell the court her truth, but if she didn't she'd still fight for her, because that's what mothers do.

It was such a controversial storyline when it started but by the time the arc was coming to a close most of Britain was really moved by the mature and complex storytelling that represented the issue so well.

And my mom had watched that and just decided "nah I'm doing this my way." locked me in a room, interrogated me, got her husband to knock the shit out of me when I told her something she didn't like and finished it all off telling me it was my fault. The police weren't called, charges weren't pressed and nobody ever talked to me about it again.

Idk man maybe filming your toddler while he's crying and clearly in distress because you're quite literally pushing a cross with a dead man in his face and screaming in latin is over the line. Maybe you as a parent should be fined in some way and removed from the platform, maybe instead of using your poor child for profit and shock value, you should actually take care of the said child.

As I get older these things bother me more and more, how can some parents do these things to a small human, how they can film it and post it for their huge audience who is now justifying their actions.

I hope all parents who exploit their children get all of their socials taken down, i hope they get all of that income taken away from them and i hope those kids find themselves in a better situation, because this is just cruel.

idk about you guys but dadzlo from today’s ep was just. Not it for me. Like i have no problem with the show portraying the characters doing/supporting messed up shit (aka 90% of the show lmaooo) but. As the child of a Music Mom who had me in tears every day for 5 hours of practice growing up…punishing me for anything that got in the way of being a musician…Laszlo’s “rehearsals” are wayyy too non-consensual at this point without nearly enough self-awareness from the show for me to feel good. And again (not me traumadumping on main here) as a kid who brought books into the bathroom to read as an escape from practicing, and as a kid whose mom would come in and take them away and make fun of me and get angry….really not loving the way Laszlo is handling this whole parenting biz. I might be too close to the material, but shitty parenting played for laughs is um not super funny. I love Laszlo so much he’s one of my favorite vampires but wanted to scream at him this ep. Just bc Colin has the face of a middle aged man (still can’t believe that sentence lmaoo) doesn’t mean he actually is one, y’know? Still a helpless child in their care. Don’t throw his fucking book.
