Eventually, after an afternoon and evening of driving around. They come to their last stop. The place they'll be staying at. For how long? They don't know.

Everyone in the back of the car flinches when the back doors are opened.

Alright. Come with children.

Commands the guardian as they use one hand to grab and pick up the unconscious draconic one off the floor and carries them easily as if they were a weightless rice bag. The children, worried about what will happen if they do not obey, follow him.

They follow him into a seemingly large house with high concrete fences and walls in the middle of a relatively expensive looking neighborhood.

They are lead to the rooms that will be considered their living quarters. Which you think would be in the main areas like a normal house. But no. They are instead lead into a series of connected rooms inside the basement with no windows. Basic bedding. Not really much of anything other than that and the most basic of lighting.

And they're all told to stay there. Except for one.

Mari is then lead to a different room. Alone.

As the van carries down the road, Mari, not seat-belted in, cannot help but lean against the window and stare as everything flies by. She's never been in a car before. But despite this she can recognize that they're used to go places.

The back of the van is quite open but with the weird momentum feeling inside of the car, she doesn't want to walk around, so she mainly kneels on her chair to stare out the window, only once almost falling off the chair from the car stopping quickly.

Eventually the blinker of the vehicle can be heard as they park against the nature-strip of another house. Mari sits down on the chair properly, sinking into the softness of it. Much nicer than the wood she was used to.

As the engine turns off, her new guardian begins to speak.

"This is what is going to happen Jirachi."

The violent rattle of the keys being pulled out of the ignition makes Mari flinch, along with simply being referred to as her species name instead of her actual name.

"You are going to sit down on that chair and wait. You are not going to move and you are going to remain silent. You are not to talk to anybody else that comes into this van. I wanted you for a reason. Because you are going to be very good for what I want you to do. You're a psychic type. You're a smart kid. You know what the word Punishment means don't you Jirachi?"

"Yes... Um..."

"Sir."

"Yes sir."

"So you understand that if you do not do what I say as your owner that you will receive immense punishment."

"Yes sir."

"Good. Now. I am going to collect the next few children. And they will sit in the back there with you. And they too are going to sit still and quietly. I do not care if you decide to look out the window. Just as long as you are QUIET and STILL. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir."

"Good."

The sir reaches to the passenger side of the front and picks up another suitcase and promptly leaves the vehicle. Mari sits still with her tail in her hands.

Mari is terrified. But silent.
