Tumblr media
It's faerie custom to steal human children for themselves, so the first moment your eyes met in the cafeteria he knew he needed to keep you close. I mean, you were a cute little thing that was brought into a world where you didn't know anything or anyone. A cute little thing that managed to hold Lilia's attention and focus, and he just can't help but be in awe of your strength and courage.
He's very sweet and attentive when he interacts with you, bordering on condescending, but having a fatherly presence takes a lot of weight off your shoulders so you don't mind too much. Lilia loves helping you with your homework and he explains so well that there is no room for doubt during your study sessions with him. He also likes to show you magic tricks since you don't have magic and teaching you how to cook traditional dishes from this world, for your own good, don't eat anything he cooks.
Every little problem you venture into, every little action you take and every word you speak, papa Lilia is by your side - not that you realize it - protecting you from harm. And slowly getting rid of bad company, he is jealous and possessive of your time as he now sees you as one of his children and you should only interact with him and his sons, they're such good companies.
Malleus absolutely adores your company, he sees how the two of you walk down Ramshackle at night while you talk and laugh and because of him, still accepting the situation, Sebek finds himself spending more time with you, listening to you, trying to understand why Malleus like you so much. Lilia is sure you'll be best friends eventually and oh my, you're even napping next to Silver, you two adorable humans.
Lilia likes to wander around random places and he often takes you and Silver on a walk with him through the woods behind campus while he tells stories of ancient times and collects various fruits. He plans to bake a dessert with these fruits to celebrate the arrival of a new member in his little family.
Lilia likes to teach you about self-defense and sword fighting, slowly training you to defend yourself if he or his kids aren't around. And it's also a fun moment where Sebek and Silver are there to help and motivate you, showing you ways to execute a move if you keep getting it wrong. Your brothers know much about this, they've been training since childhood.
He especially loves watching you interact with others. The shy way you offers Malleus a handcrafted gift, watching the expressions of joy on his face, or how you and Sebek are constantly teasing each other and bickering, but you stick up for him when someone badmouths him. And there's even the loving way you let Silver use your lap for a long, restful nap while you sit under a willow tree. And of course, the way you depend on him, listen to his words and let him comfort you when you hear Crowley say that there is no way to return to your world.
It is especially difficult to notice Lilia's manipulation, but not impossible. He is a loving father who is there for his children but he is also a general and a great strategist, there are little things that over time you can see. The fact that you keep getting sick after drinking something he offered you, the fact that whenever you are with one of them people get scared and move away from you and that all your friends don't spend as much time with you anymore, they don't invite you to parties or study dates, or anything. Still, Lilia convinces you that you're just imagining it and sometimes you wonder if it's true.
While escaping from them would be very difficult due to the power and influence they have, Lilia could use his magic to control people and manipulate situations to ensure that you are always by his side. Or Malleus can put you to sleep to prevent you from running away or getting hurt while you try to fight them. It's all for your own good, darling, they're worried about you.

Blue Eye Samurai & Themes of Breaking Free from Binaries and Boxes
Mizu must choose between being a woman or a man, between feminine and masculine.
Mizu must choose between being Japanese or white.
Mizu must choose between being human (loving) or demon (hateful).
Mizu has struggled against the chains placed upon her since birth, but no matter how much she writhes and pushes against them, the chains remain. And they will continue to, until she learns to accept all of those facets of herself and suppress none of it.
Mizu must realise that she is both feminine and masculine; Japanese and white; human and demon. Mizu is all of these things and everything in between and at the same time she is none of them. She is simply Mizu. Only upon accepting this can she slice through the chains and find freedom.
But Mizu isn't the only one faced with these stifling binaries and predetermined paths. Each of the main four characters represent this theme as well.
"This is the world. It grants women a fixed number of paths. Proper wife or improper whore." -Seki, to Akemi
Akemi, as a woman, must choose between being a wife (modest, meek, but rich) or whore (sexually liberated, willful, but exploited). Both of these would amount to defeat, both of these are cages. So what does she do? With the cards she's been dealt and the rules outlined for her, she decides to change the game so she can win, manipulating her husband (and father, who is now under her care) to give herself the advantage. This way, she blazes her own path ahead to achieve power for herself.
"As it says, there are four paths through the world. The way of the farmer, the artisan, the merchant, and the warrior. Each of these can lead to greatness. I never even cared which path, so long as I found mine." [...] "I know I can't touch greatness any more than I can swallow the sun. But, I can help. I can help greatness." -Ringo
Ringo, partially due to his disability, faces barriers succeeding any of the predetermined paths set out for him, but freely moves between each one in search of one that can lead him to greatness. However, upon meeting Mizu, his horizons expand. Now, he forges his own path, deciding to rise beyond a quest for his own greatness, choosing to instead to help greatness. This is similar to the role teachers take. Teachers do not get to be rich or successful or written into history books, but they help, teach, and inspire others so that they can rise up to their fullest potentials.
"Eighty-four thousand Dharma doors. For me, there were only two. The net or the sword. I could become my father, or I could cut my way free of the net." -Taigen
Taigen, born and raised impoverished, had only two options to survive. He could either be a fisherman and remain poor, or he could strive to work hard as a swordsman in the hopes to one day escape poverty. To him, it was a choice between a life of suffering or a chance at glory. Either way, the chances of dying (from either starvation or getting killed) were present, so obviously he'd taken the chance to run away and try his hand at greatness. But then, he lost his honour, and thus lost everything. Now his only choices are to regain his honour or simply kill himself. He tries the former, but upon bonding with Mizu and Ringo, he finds out there is more to life, that there is a third option open for him he'd never realised before: happiness. Rather than just mere survival, or toiling for material gain, he realises that life is about living.
Overall, the story is very multifaceted through its exploration of societal expectations and norms, and how people are forced to conform, but also the ways they can break free from those boxes.
And in my opinion each of the characters represent differing aspects of marginality, and can be analysed from differing perspectives.
Akemi's story is a predominantly feminist narrative about the marginalisation of women.
Ringo's story is a predominantly disabled narrative about the marginalisation of disabled folks.
Taigen's backstory is a Marxist narrative about the marginalisation of the poor and working class.
Mizu's story is most prominently a postcolonial narrative about the marginalisation of racial Others, ethnic minorities, and hybridised identities. However, as the protagonist, Mizu's story is the most multilayered and thus also heavily features feminist, queer, and Marxist themes due to her complex relationship with gender as well as her background as an orphan living on the streets.
I just found it very interesting that, altogether, the four main protagonists each represent groups that are fighting against an unjust system.
Even Takayoshi, son of the shogun, who should thus be one of Japan's most powerful men himself, is instead seemingly powerless as he is silenced and manipulated by his own mother due to his disability—his stutter.
I also find that these themes of breaking free from conformity and expectations are very interestingly displayed in Taigen, who had thought he'd found a way to join those unjust systems and play by all its rules, and by doing so he had played the role of antagonist. Because one of the central conflicts of the show is Man Vs Society, in which society is the antagonist and the man is Mizu, among others. So by becoming one with that cruel society, Taigen in turn also becomes Mizu's antagonist. Only when he is stripped of everything, all his years of struggle immediately stomped into the dirt as soon as he loses a single duel, only then does he shift away from his antagonistic role. Disgraced and dishonoured, he, too, now rejoins the margins of society, becoming an outcast alongside Mizu and Ringo.
So, TL;DR the society and world portrayed in Blue Eye Samurai is shitty for pretty much everyone unless you're a rich, corrupt, able-bodied cis man. Thus, essentially no one is free and everyone is restricted into neat little boxes where they play their roles and stay in line while the rich and powerful benefit. But Mizu, Akemi, Ringo and Taigen challenge this, and slowly they will rip the boxes go shreds—choosing what they want, and what they want to be, for themselves.

One again pulling what I wrote on the discord server and putting it here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sora and Ivankov are friends (also Sora is trans) and so Ivankov helps Sora and her children escape Germa.
It's a surprise attack, it was supposed to be a secret quick in and out, but they needed to do STH to stop Judge from immediately going after them, so goodbye laboratories. Sora can barely stay up but she manages to get all her children before Ivankov finds her. They don't take them to Baltigo, they meet up at a meeting up first with Dragon.
However, their disguised ship ends up being attacked by Zeff's pirates, and it happens as canon, till they're rescued by Ivankon and they finally go meet Dragon and he's to suggest windmill village, so they take them there. (Zeff stays with them)
It doesn't take them long to meet Makino, she befriends Sora instantly and decides to help them out, Ivankov has treated the kids to try to undo what Judge did, but it obv won't go away that easily, they're a little lost on how to help them be normal-er but they're trying, and Sanji is flourishing as a cook with Zeff and Makino. Theres a lot of kicking on Zeff's part.
Finally, Makino decides that they should have some friends their age, and who better than Luffy and his brothers? So up the mountain they go, Zeff doesn't go with them but Sora does, she and Sanji baked some pastries as a gift.
ASL and 124 obv clash on sight, they end up brawling until Zeff arrives and kicks them all.
Sora decides to regularly go up the mountain, even tho she doesn't really have the strength to do so, but she insists it'll be good for her and her children, and she manages to become Dandan's bestie much to the other woman's chagrin.
ASL adore Sora, Ace specially practically imprinted like a baby duck, it awakens some jealousy in the quadruplets (that's *their* mom after all)
Their rivalry becomes more and more friendly with time.
When Sora ends up bedridden, ASL and Dadan end up going down the mountain to visit regularly
They're very shaken up by Sabo's "death", Yonji is with Dogra when looking for Sabo, meaning, he gets to see the explosion and be extra traumatised by Sabo's "death", later he'll realise Sabo was his first love
And then it'll turn out that Sabo ain't dead uwu
It's the first time they cry.
Sora ends up dying some time after that due to her illness, but time goes on, Ichiji leaves with Ace, then Niji and Yonji also go on their own, and Reiju waits until after Sanji leaves with Luffy
Ichiji is sticking to Ace's ass when he confronts White Beard and later when he goes to look for Teach, he pulls the "We always done everything together" which is technically incorrect but still works because Ace ain't leaving him behind after that
The Alabasta reunion is very cute, Ichiji internally judges Zoro; Luffy, Sanji and the others think Acechiji are already together (they aren't yet) and Sanji denies having any kind of attraction towards Zoro when Ichiji brings out the topic (also Sanji might had once a little crush on Ace, one which Ichiji noticed and won't forget and which might have stopped him from starting a relationship with Ace until Impeldown and Marineford, when he's forced to accept his feelings and maybe do STH about them. Ofc he's unable to hold back after Marineford, and so is Ace, and they end up together but Ichiji still feels guilty because he doesn't know that Sanji got over that years ago and is busy being together with Zoro (they get together after Thrillerbark) so he tries to hide it until Sanji finds out Ichiji apologizes and Sanji is like "what for? I'm happy for you".)
Ace on the other hand is forced by the confrontation with Teach, when his impulsiveness and no-backing-down thing almost cost him Ichiji, but they're both taken and later separated in Impeldown so he can't do much about it.
Ichiji sees Ace's silhouette forming between Akainu's punch and Luffy, he barely has any energy left, and some of his old wounds may have reopened, but he can't simply stand and watch, somehow, he manages to throw himself in Akainu's way, arms hugging both Luffy and Ace, dragging them together. Akainu's punch burns through his arm and onto Ace's back, thankfully, before Akainu can do more damage, Reiju and Sabo finally catch up to them and intervene and drag them away from Akainu's lava.
Ace passes out, his vivrecard keeps shrinking, Luffy is screaming, their siblings pick them up and run away now that they have cover, Ichiji barely manages to catch Ace's vivrecard.
ah yeah, I put Niji and Yonji with Law and Reiju with the revolutionaries, she drags Sabo to rescue Ace and Ichiji

Eden
knows a good deal about the fae
careful around you, wears iron for a long time until they trust you
this does not stop them from fucking you, btw. iron chain across their neck burning against your skin as it hangs down while Eden is on top of you, iron rings stinging against your thighs where their fingers squeeze
keeps iron across the doors and windows until they trust you, too
Remy
also knows a bunch about the fae
Alex, Eden, and Remy know the most about the fae, i think
not in that order
mmmm
Eden and Remy might be tied, but maybe Eden a little over Remy
then Alex
(maybe Sydney after that, from reading purely though, they don't believe any of it)
Alex's Farm
oh, fuck you
hates having to deal with you
doesn't want to even talk to you

they want you out of the picture, asap
Farm
breaking in cattle speed run
don't fucking talk to them
will lose their shit if you escape
wears iron
has iron around your stall
so pleased if you become an obedient beastie
your milk is so sweet, so thick and creamy
the best of the best
might keep you extra close to them, just in case
Riding School
no
wants to refuse service
can't figure out a polite way to do so
lets you in as a student but tries to keep their interactions with you to an absolute minimum

Episode Eight: Our Home
When this episode was first airing I saw someone describe it as "com[ing] for your feels with a rusty shiv" and it sure does! It sure does. It'll only get worse from here on out. :D
Tumblr media
Little sprouts in their little hats! This scene is so friggin' cute and the show ruins it by cutting straight to the aftermath of the crash. Unfair.
The first time I watched this, I realised that Nai wasn't "evil" from the start. That is, he wasn't always... like he is now. I think he truly loved Rem and Vash, though he might have only realised how much later on. But on rewatch, I also don't think Vash's memories of his childhood with Nai carry the same level of nostalgic longing that Knives does for his memories. In the few short minutes he's being recorded, here are three things that Nai does.
Upset Vash by acting as though food - judging by Vash's reaction - makes Vash less of a Plant.
Play a prank by convincing Rem of something that isn't true.
Show affection to his brother... after Vash goes along with it and Rem falls for it.
I think, for Vash, the discovery they eventually made wasn't so violently unlike what he'd come to expect that he couldn't handle it. Vash believed he could rely on Rem to accept him and that was all he really needed. But what did Nai believe he had? His brother. He could rely on Vash to back him up, to play along, to understand. Vash seemingly being lesser, being other (like Rem) made Nai feel lonely. And though this touches on the manga* more than what we've so far seen in Stampede, I think Knives is far more of an idealist than Vash has ever been, even now.
Vash wants a better world, and he's willing to work for it, to fail, and to try again. He knows what it's like to fall short.
Knives wants a perfect world, and perfection admits no mistakes.
Tumblr media
I just damn near made myself cry thinking about Rem and what she considers her mistakes MOVING ON.
Tumblr media
THIS ISN'T AN IMPROVEMENT although it is a lovely colour scheme.
When Nai reveals the truth about the crash (or what he believes to be the truth; Knives cannot be relied upon as a source of information even a little bit), Vash flees. He continues to flee; even lying in the sand, it's to seek some kind of escape - not a good kind, but that's what it is. "I want this all to end./I don't want to be here." He can't, of course. Not before humans find him. We're survivors. For all our many faults, evolution didn't select for us giving up or failing to help each other, especially in the wake of such a disaster.
It's true that Brad and Luida aren't initially accepting of Vash, but it's Vash who frames himself in terms of usefulness, echoing Nai. It's Vash who seems to believe he shouldn't live unless he can... somehow make up for what "he" did. Luida doesn't know that. She sees another survivor, wrestling with the same guilt. I think the way she speaks with him may have been how she coped herself - and perhaps the way for Brad too, come to think of it. He acts like a paranoid dick, but when given a lead to pursue, he runs right off to dig through wreckage and bodies for some sign of Rem and finds the only shreds of comfort Vash was likely to get. They both have something to do. While I do wish Vash had chosen to live for the sake of living, I think what's keeping him in that bare little room isn't that he's an unproductive Plant or the hatred of humans (at least not just that). It's a trap he built for himself. As long as he does nothing, he's doing nothing wrong and he's not adding to the burden he already bears. They shouldn't trust him, not after what he did.
So when Luida trusts him to help the dying Plant as Rem's blank ticket story plays, she's making a choice. And that's to allow Vash to make his own choice: to live, even with his guilt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The montage of him travelling around helping Plants! He teaches people how to take care of them properly! It makes him so happy!
So I really, really hope the speculation is wrong and Vash isn't burning himself out doing that. It seems paranoid, and it doesn't feel intuitively true the way some of my other speculation has, but that might just be wishful thinking. I definitely can't rely on Vash admitting it if it is true. I really hope he has at least one nice thing he doesn't pay for with his blood. :(
Tumblr media
When Nai's influence re-emerges, so to does the burden of guilt, death and destruction he represents. It's funny that Brad's impulsive anger and mistrust is what drives Vash to seek his brother out - where Vash is going, he'll find plenty more of that.
One more thing. In the shot where Vash enters the Plant carrier (the city of July, or at least, the site where it'll be built in future), it zooms in to show Nai, standing. But if you look very closely as it does? He's rising to his feet from a kneeling position. I wonder what would have happened if Vash had entered a little earlier?
Tumblr media
*Reading Maximum in like two days and then watching the final three/four episodes of Stampede was a terrible idea.

Vamp Lord's issues with consent are so obvious here. It's about being a spawn obviously but it would definitely apply to other things too. And the threat at the end. He's turning Tav regardless, the breakup means nothing. He may pretend he's letting them go, but he's absolutely not.
Denying ascended Astarion something is dangerous territory. He insists that he has everything he could ever want-- but he's lying. Poorly. He loved Tav. That love did not just disappear when they left him. It did not disappear when he turned.
He claims to have everything, except the one thing he truly wanted. And if for absolutely no other reason, he is obsessed with power and control. He will not be able to abide that for long. He won't. His new nature will not abide it.
Right now, he is angry. Just pure seething venom angry and lashing out. Things are just settling down. He is going to have free time soon-- an eternity of it. Soon, he will have time to think. And he will realize that Tav escaping is the largest insult to his power possible. It is an insult to who he is-- who he claims to be.
He cannot abide it.
He will say it is because it is an insult. Because he is teaching an object lesson. Because he must make a point to all who might dare to defy him. That is not why. It is because nothing in this cesspit of a world he plans to conquer will fill the hole that was left in their absence. The obsession will consume him. Thinking of what could have been. How life could have been had they stayed at his side. Wondering why the left, utterly flaying his brain to try and understand why, why why--
Tav walked away from him. Tav delivered the world in his palm, made him the most powerful creature to walk the realms, and then Tav walked away from him. Tav walked away when he was perfected. He doesn't understand. He can't. He was planning on eternity, and Tav violently ripped that dream from him. He will spend eternity alone, with no one by his side. No equal. No love.
The one thing he wants denied, and there isn't a damn thing he can do about it.
Right?
That's what he will have them believe. That he will respect that decision. But he won't. I can promise you that.
He plays it cool when you leave him. Huffs a haughty "fine" and drops it. Maintaining the balance was very important then. There were more pressing matters. No world to conquer if they didn't stick together to defeat that wretched little brain. Then he pretends to respect that decision, even telling you so. He is going through the stages of grief-- except acceptance is no longer a natural part of that cycle.
One day, he is going to decide that no, actually, you don't get to make that decision. He wants, and so he will take. No one can stop him. What use is power if he cannot even have the one thing he craves most? That would shatter his entire view.
So he will use that power, and with the same cruelty that ripped him from his life, he will wield swiftly against Tav. They do not get a choice. They get a master and a will to obey.
He says Tav will regret it, and he means it. But not in the way one might think. He will make them regret not choosing his side willingly. Not nurturing his love and trust. They will be at his side regardless. That is the only option. They will not even be able to die to escape him.
They should have stayed. They will regret not staying. Everything that happens from here on out is their fault.

✰- Author's Note: Hello! My little imps, demonic sinners, and powerful overlords. Welcome back to another story of fem reader who is bisexual with Striker. Since I have trouble writing due to adhd and especially a little bit of writers block. I tried a fun experiment today while writing this. I love to play Stardew Valley on my phone so while I was writing the story from my laptop I decided that. Every time I finish a day in Stardew Valley or for every fish I catch or tree I chop, I write a sentence on my laptop and it really helped and was fun, so if you wanna try something to reward yourself to write while having fun I recommend doing something while you write but remember don't force yourself to write if you can't. Also remember to eat a meal or snack, drink water, take your medicine, and that you are loved. If you enjoy this story then please like, comment, reblog, or even blaze if you can. Remember to support your local writers. ♡♡♡

Ever since you were at a young age, you knew that you were bisexual but you never really told anyone, why? Well because you thought it wasn’t really important unless someone asked. And no one in your life really asked so no one knew that you were bisexual especially your boyfriend Striker. You met Striker when the hybrid imp passed out in front of your house. It seemed like he had escaped from a sort of horrible accident because had horrible burn marks on his back and looked beat up. So you helped him up into your home and patched him up. When he had awoken he would freak out but you eventually calmed him down despite him calling you names and threatening you but he ended up seeing that you meant no harm and had patched him up better than those shady doctors he goes to or himself. When Striker had left he returned the next day and bought you roses that were pink, purple, and blue. You accepted the flowers and thanked him. After that you and Striker began to hangout more and more with each other. The two of you would have all sorts of fun from camping, teaching Striker how to actually patch himself up, and he taught you how to use a gun. The two slowly fell in love with each other and eventually started to date each other. Striker loved you to pieces and reminded you everyday how much he loved you and that he wouldn’t want you to change anything about yourself. But you never really told Striker that you were bisexual and you weren’t sure how to tell him, or how he would react; so you decided to keep your sexuality to yourself until you felt like telling him would be the right time. Now Striker he already knew that you like women and men. Even though you two don’t live together yet. Whenever Striker was over and you would be out shopping or in the kitchen Striker being a nosey bastard would mess around in your room either with your computer seeing what games you have, going through your closet seeing what outfits you have and trying to get his shirts back, or he would just see what books you own.
He eventually came across a magazine but not just your normal type of magazine like a cooking, fashion, or gossip one. No this was a dirty magazine filled with pictures of different types of nude demon women. Striker sat down on the floor and flipped through as he was wondering why you had this. And then it hit him. The other day he asked if he was a woman would you sleep with him of course you said yes quickly without thinking; then he remembered how you would glance at other female demons whenever you two walked down the street at first he thought those glances were you just admiring those womens clothes or he thought you were just seeing if they were looking at him. “ Hey, Striker, I’m back from shopping. “ As you stepped into the room, Striker looked at you while holding the magazine and you stared at him then the magazine then back at Striker, as you felt your heart about to pop out. “ You wanna tell me something darlin? “ Striker asked and closed the magazine; he stood up and walked over to you and handed you the magazine. You sighed and set your bags down. “ I’m bisexual…. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you, I thought if I did that you would be disgusted and leave me. I didn’t know what your reaction would be, I just know that I was nervous to tell you, I still love you. “ You looked at Striker who said nothing and only walked to you with a serious expression; you closed your eyes preparing for the worst but all you felt was a small flick on your forehead but it still hurt. “ Ow! “ You rub your forehead and open your eyes as Striker glared and had his hands on his hips. “ Ow, is right, darlin’, I don’t care that you are bisexual, I still love you no matter what. Your sexuality doesn't stop me from loving you, it doesn't change anything between us. You are still my dumpling. “ Striker pulled you close into a hug. “ Does anyone else know you are bisexual? “ He asked while rubbing small circles on your back.
“ No, I haven’t told anyone since I discovered I was bisexual. “ You sighed feeling relief that Striker didn’t leave or yell at you for coming out. You actually feel proud knowing that you told him and happy that he didn’t see you any different and still saw you as you. “ Well if you tell anyone and they try saying anything nasty to ya or try hurting you pumpkin, just come tell me and I’ll make sure they don’t wake up to see another day. “ Striker planted a kiss on your lips. “ Also you need to find a better hiding place for those magazines because just having them in an open box on your closet floor isn't smart. “ Striker smirk. You playfully roll your eyes. “ Strike, who else is gonna snoop through my room besides your cute nosey ass. “ You deliver a flick to Striker’s floor head as he felt a dramatic pain sound and fell back on the bed holding you. “ That hurt darlin~ “ Striker nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. The next day comes and you are sitting on the couch watching a horror movie. Striker had come home from hunting down his target but he had a small box in his hand and sat down on the couch tossing the box into your lap. You raised an eyebrow at Striker who’s yellow eyes stayed on whatever horror movie you were watching. You opened the box and smiled seeing that Striker had got you bisexual rings but there were two. “ I’m bisexual darlin. “ Striker stretched and yawned.
“ Why didn’t you tell me yesterday? “ You asked and slipped one of the rings on your fingers. “ I wanted you to have your moment, I also thought it wasn’t really important to tell you so I thought since you came out yesterday, that I might as well come out while doing some cheesy ass gestures. A friend of mine; she recommended that I do it and even helped pick the rings. “ Striker slipped the other ring on his finger. “ Now we have matching rings, anyway give me the remote your taste in horror movies is shit. “ Striker said. You chuckled and handed Striker the remote who put on a zombie movie and rested his head in your lap as you ran your fingers through his white hair; who would have known that Striker was bisexual. That night you were brushing your teeth as Striker sat on the bed cleaning his weapons polishing his guns and knives. He kept a couple of weapons at your house either for training you or protecting you or yourself if anyone broke in and tried to rob or hurt you. “ Hey darlin’, I was thinking about finally moving in with ya, if you're okay with taking that next step in our relationship. “ Striker heard you jet out of the bathroom still having white foam around your mouth from brushing your teeth. “ I would love that! “ You wiped your mouth and walked over to him, sitting down in his lap. “ You moving in would be nice and I get to help you take care of our son Bombproof. “ You grinned, ever since you met Bombproof you declared that the horse is your son and Bombproof did love you. Striker chuckled and kissed you. “ Then I’ll make sure to get all my shit over here. “I love you darlin. “ Striker gave you another kiss. The two of you stayed there in the bed kissing each other and couldn't wait to see how living together would be like.

Platonic yandere dad riddler (2004) as daughter reader
Tumblr media
Riddler is quite the interesting character, since this version would be more apprehensive to a mean reader, so reader would have to be more of the nicer variety.
Perhaps Reader was one of the few that recognized him as the scientist E. Nygma, but weren't apprehensive for him being a criminal. Someone you knew was in that Gotham University and you met him before, and then you met him. He was interested in seeing if you had an aptitude for puzzles or logic like him. Even if his darling doesn't, he's sure to be able to teach you!
He's already been shown to be tech-smart, so he would most definitely watch you through cameras and the like, watching how you treat people and see who he needs to take out since they can't teach you the right way. Teachers are the ones mostly taken out by him.
After the events of Riddler's Revenge, he would kill people by trapping them in the storage containers much like the one he was trapped in with Batman.
Speaking of Batman.
Riddler would take extra care for his obsessions with you never to be found out, and what I mean by that is that he leaves the most amount of clues without meaning too. Of course, Batman is quite perceptive of this and realizes, especially since Robin mentioned you before. He remembers Robin telling him something about a classmate who keeps finding puzzles in their locker...
Batman quickly finds out and is quick to ask Robin to watch over you just slightly, "just make sure that they {Reader}, don't accept the puzzles."
Riddler's offended if you throw them away, and when he sees that Robin is persuading you to toss them... Well. Not even Mr. Freeze could ice his wrath.
He tries to kill Robin.
So anyway, after the Boy Wonder and the Furry stop him from icing the 'brat', he goes to you and asks why you let that insufferable BRAT manipulate you into throwing away his gifts. When he realizes that you don't know he existed / was obsessed with you, he kidnaps you.
Honestly, he doesn't understand, he's a lil' delulu but we love him.
He wouldn't be like BTAS! Riddler because he wouldn't let you have the chance to escape, although he enjoys the thought of testing your mind, he doesn't want to give Batman the chance to hurt you / take you away from him.
"C'mon Adolescent, I can't let you go outside, for you see, the Batman is lurking around trying to capture you away from me."

Yandere Levi Ackerman hcs with a reader that isn’t interested in him. Like she isn’t really into anyone else maybe she’s like a duality type of person where she’s like really sweet and is the best baker. But can become cold a ruthless borderline psychotic in a flick of the wrist. And people would think she would find someone which she attracts many people but just doesn’t want them. And when Levi confesses or she figures it out she rejects him. ❤️
YANDERE LEVI ACKERMAN HCs
tw: murder, levi is actually fuckin psycho as a yandere, threats, abuse,
Levi would've had his eye on you for a while. He would've been interested in your scores, so he wanted you in the Survey Corps.
Levi had his most essential years for proper brain development in the underground, so he doesn't have a healthy mindset.
When Levi was growing up, he had to fight to live, and since he was a child and grew acclimated to these conditions, his brain thinks that these urges and tendencies are normal.
He knows it's not normal, so he tries to keep them under wraps. Keyword: tries.
The only person who knows about these tendencies and urges is Erwin. That's why Erwin was the first to go.
The first time he saw you in action, he fell in love.
Levi saw that you were fucking ruthless with the titans and with the whole Historia situation and his first thought was
'she's just like me'
Cue Levi's obsession.
Levi plays favorites with you and it's so fucking obvious but he really just doesn't care.
He keeps you around him at all times under the guise of training, helping him with paperwork, drinking tea with him, cleaning, him teaching you how to clean, etc.
Levi is the removal and desperate kind. He also keeps tabs on you at all times and will watch you sleep until he knows everyone else is sleeping.
If someone hits on you, he will kill them and bring their body beyond the walls in the dead of night.
Levi thinks it's so fucking hot that you have these two 'masks' and he will get off to it.
You're perceptive, very perceptive. Levi thought for sure that you'd return his feelings but one day you came to his office unannounced and told him to pack it the fuck up.
"Captain Levi, I'm aware that you have feelings for me,"
He was stunned to silence.
"but I can't return them. It's painful to watch you pine after me when I'm uninterested."
Levi must've heard you wrong.
"I think that we should stop spending as much time to-"
Levi lost it.
Levi tells you that if you're interested in someone else, he'll kill them. He tells you that if you try to tell someone about this meeting and his threats he will find out. He's always watching.
If you try to get help, Levi will know immediately. He will kill them.
Don't test Levi, he will lock you up and no one will ever find you.
Levi is desperate to make you love him so he tries everything. He will beg and he will push his pride aside, and he will make you love him.
If you manage to get away, Levi will go into hiding. He will leave the heads of people you talk to on your doorstep or your bed and he will terrorize you.
Every time you go on a mission, he will be silently watching from the sidelines to make sure you don't get hurt.
Once you realize you can't escape him and you isolate yourself to keep everyone else safe, he will be on cloud fucking nine.
He'll send you notes and shower you in gifts.
Eventually, you'll be so desperate for human interaction that you'll yell out into the night asking for him to join you for dinner.
He'll slowly appear from the shadows of the treeline with a sickly smile on his face and press a kiss to your temple.
"I'm glad you've finally accepted me, love."

Watching Wheel of Time without reading the books: Season 2 Episode 3
Rand gets Pretty Womaned. Perrin has to once again make a choice between the hammer and the axe, and once again lets someone else make that choice for him. Nynaeve is missing, presumed dead, until she literally breaks the laws of physics to get back home because nobody tells her what she can and cannot do, not even reality. Egwene never stops believing in her. Mat escapes with the psychic bartender, but it was actually all orchestrated by the biggest bitch on the wheel.
Rand is the personal attendant to the False Dragon, who is now more of a lizard. He desperately begs to be taught how to control his powers before he suffers the same fate, but Lizard was never all that empathetic to begin with, and now he is actively suicidal. He agrees to teach Rand everything he knows, at the price of some fancy wine. Rand knows exactly how to earn that, and turns on the charm for his landlady. Selene really skeeves me out, for more reasons than just the predatory relationship with a barely legal guy who is clearly very mentally ill. I think it is the way she keeps trying to pretend this is more than a transactional relationship? The way she plays at romance, while still reminding Rand at every turn that she holds all the power? The way she pouts at him when he refuses to play along? I don't know, maybe she just has a sinister personality.
She gets him the wine, and an invitation to a dinner. He makes friends with some older lady who looks like Moiraine in disguise, who snarks at him about how much rich people suck. Okay, Not!Moiraine, way to hypocrite all over the place. Anyways, Rand is incredibly upset to realize the lady that has been preying on him is also preying on other desperate souls, so he runs off to Lizard. Lizard approves of the wine, and delivers the entirety of his advice: accept the madness and eventual death, because there is no way to avoid it. He then returns home where his landlady assaults him, and then they bang. Or maybe he just fell asleep and had a sex dream/hallucination. Either way, he accidentally Mannels, and burns down her inn. She rushes from the flames to find him, and I still get the feeling she's just Off.
Perrin and his friends have all been captured, except his Wolf Buddy who looks like Discount Heimdal. These are apparently the Seachan I have heard so much about. I now realize it is pronounced Shaun John, not See Chan. If there are no special effects from here on out, at least the rest of the budget was well spent on the Shaun John costumes. They are creepy as hell. Nancy Reagan is with them for reasons yet to be explained, and he keeps checking out Perrin. They take the Eyepatch guy up to force him to swear fealty to their throne, and immediately kill him when he refuses. Everyone else submits without question, though Perrin is still angry about it.
At some point he must have been knocked unconscious, because he wakes up alone, chained up in a carriage with Nancy Reagan. This dude is playing jumprope with the line between sweet grandfather and sexual predator. He wolf-baits Perrin, and comes out as the Dark One, which is still a lie. Perrin asks what he wants with him, and Nancy leans in like he is about to kiss him, and says he wants Perrin to be his. GAAAAAAYYYYYY. Heimdal and the wolves break Perrin out, and Perrin wants to rescue the others. Heimdal has another plan. Run away. Perrin follows along, but I sense some complaining in his future. He hates the choices other people make for him, but goes along with them because he still can't handle the thought of being responsible for another major mistake after his last one. Someone should tell him that choosing to follow orders is still a choice, and he is still responsible for the consequences of his choice. I fear he is going to find that out the hard way.
So onto Nynaeve, the heavy hitter of the episode. She is presented with an opportunity to walk through the swamp three arches, where she will face her greatest fears without even the force one power to protect her. If she succeeds, she will become a true Jedi master Accepted Aes Sedai. Her three greatest fears are really all the same fear. Watching people she loves suffer and die and choosing to leave them to their fate rather than fighting to save them. First up is her parents, then the Two Rivers folk, and finally, a brief flash of visions that end with her covered in blood. That last one haunts her so badly that she chooses to leave the tower, run away with Lan, and PSYCH! She was in the arches the entire time. She didn't even notice the archway return for her.
When the arch lit up and faded, the head Aes Sedai all realize she has been lost forever. The Principal of Novice School wallows in guilt, but has enough left over to remind JK Rowling that her self-righteousness won't actually wash away the blood on her hands. JK actually seems to feel shame, which I wasn't sure she was capable of before. She is suddenly more complex than the cardboard cutout lunch room bully she has been up until now. No more likeable, but painfully realistic with her ability to justify any and all actions as a defense against the deep self-loathing she can't afford to face. We all know someone like this. Someone so dedicated to their cause that they can't see the fact that they have become the exact thing they claim to fight against. In this case, She Woman Man Hater, Protector of Girls Everywhere has manipulated and murdered a young woman by treating her as a tool to power, rather than a person. But she doesn't have a penis, so she must still be Good. Right? Right? Her shields are failing. I wonder if she thought she loved Nynaeve, in whatever way her shriveled husk of a soul could comprehend love.
Egwene has recovered from her self-pity sleepover with Elayne, and is committed to appreciating Nynaeve a lot more. She goes to wake her up for school, but finds the Principal there instead. Principal stiffly and woodenly informs Egwene of Nynaeve's death and then walks out, in a way that seems cold to Egwene, but like she is inches from breaking down sobbing to the audience who saw her earlier performance. Elayne tries to comfort Egwene in her sincere, awkward way, but Egwene has just lost her final tie to home, and is not ready to pour her heart out to someone she met yesterday. Read the room, Elayne. Not that you have ever had this skill. Aren't princesses supposed to get etiquette training? She must have failed that class.
JK Rowling does find a way to blame a man after all. She WOULD have prepared Nynaeve properly, if only she hadn't been stuck tormenting Mat for no real reason except that she likes manipulating people. It is really all his fault, for being so manipulable. She releases him, after delivering a scathing rant about her own insecurities projected onto him. Someone in that room is certainly an insidious coward who mistakes their own moral failings for cunning and wallows in self pity. He and Min make a run for it, but Min goes back for a quick chat that serves no purpose except to let us the viewer know she's been working with JK all along.
Egwene goes to the arches, and pours everything she has into opening the archway for Nynaeve, but it just isn't enough. Elayne comes by for a second attempt at comfort. She is able to convince Egwene to stop trying to kill herself by overchanneling at the arches, but promises to sit with her until she's ready to leave. Maybe she CAN learn how humans work after all.
Nynaeve, meanwhile, has been living peacefully in a fantasy similar to Rand's. She and Lan are happily married, with a rambunctious daughter. They live in the Two Rivers with Mat and Perrin, and get letters from the Powerful and Amazing Egwene Sedai. After many happy years, however, her home is invaded by trollocs. She has to hide her daughter in a cellar, while she tries to fight, in a clear parallel to her own memories of losing her parents. The adults do their best, but Mat, Perrin, and Lan all die brutally within seconds of each other. Nynaeve rages so hard that she channels inside the arches. Okay, I understand. Her biggest fear is that being an Aes Sedai will keep her from protecting her loved ones because her duty will come first. She has overcome it by realizing that her power is the one thing that could have saved them all. But now for the final test. Her daughter comes upstairs for a hug, just as the archway appears. Nynaeve knows she must walk through, but she can't abandon her child to her fate. So she gathers up the girl and rushes through, only to emerge empty-handed and covered in blood to a shocked Egwene, who hugs her as she cries. Was that life ever actually real? Is there a world out there where a little girl closed her eyes and trusted her mother to carry her to safety, only to end up helpless and alone against a horde of monsters and the corpses of her family? Nynaeve will never know. Congratulations on becoming an Accepted, and on never knowing peace again.

Hello! May I request an angst Larissa Weems x reader? (Reader is 20+ and is still a student at Nevermore!)
Reader suffers from one sided/unrequited love with Larissa not knowing their feelings making them to hide their feelings more, and thinking Larissa is out of their league and not able to reach her standards and felt discouraged to talk to her and even cause problems just to talk to her!
If you could make it two possible ending where the reader continues to hide their feelings or finally confess it after getting to fed up
Thank you!
Larissa Weems x student!reader -
Unrequited Love
Tumblr media
Authors Note: Hi, anon! I hope I got the gist of your request. I don't do anything super romantic between Larissa and students as it makes me a little uncomfortable as someone who has a teaching degree (regardless if a student is of age).
You had your monthly check in with Principal Weems soon. You always got so nervous around her. She was so tall and beautiful that it made you anxious. Sometimes you would just sit there and stare at her, not even hearing a word she said. Then she would get angry, towering over you, her strength and prowess making you even more distracted.
While you were 21 attending Nevermore, your circumstances made your late entrance to the school a bit more understandable. You were a late bloomer werewolf, who had been raised by normies. They had no inkling that you were an outcast until a year ago you went through your first change. In effort to educate you more on outcasts and others who were more like you, your parents had convinced Principal Weems and the board to accept you into the school for a year.
Since your first day at Nevermore, you had been obsessed with the beautiful headmistress. You would watch her whenever she graced the cafeteria or whenever she sat in on lectures by professors. Even once you skipped class to watch her work with the Speech/Debate Club. It was this time spent observing Principal Weems that led to your failing grades, thus leading to your monthly check-ins.
With this viscous cycle, you were wondering if these meetings were actually helping.
You knock at the door and Principal Weems called you in, greeting you warmly, "Mx. L/n, please, do come in."
You swallowed you nerves, and plastered a smile on your face, "Good morning, Principal Weems."
"Please take a seat. Tell me about your past month of classes. I've seen you have been attending class more regularly as of late." Larissa glanced down at some papers on her desk before smiling up at you.
You take a seat at one of the arm chairs in front of Principal Weems desk. Trying to focus hard on her words by staring at the floor instead of looking in to her gorgeous face, but your principal takes notice of your behavior taking it for a lack of attention.
"Mx. L/n, are you listening to me right now?" Principal Weems' words were harsh causing your gaze to lift to her immediately.
This is where you get in trouble every time. She is so statuesque, everything about her placed perfectly. Her hair, her lipstick, her-
"Mx. L/n! Every time I have you in here, you are staring off into oblivion! Are you not getting enough sleep? Do you need to have these progress meetings with your dorm supervisor? What is the issue." Larissa was up out of her chair when she scolded you. Your mouth was dry. What where you supposed to do?
Should you... A) Admit your feelings to Principal Weems or B) Keep your feelings to yourself and keep pining?
If you picked: A) Admit your feelings to Principal Weems
"I'minlovewithyou." You sputter, eyes wide as you can't believe you had let those words escape your mouth, but once you started you couldn't stop yourself, "You are so beautiful and I get so nervous whenever I'm near you. Its so distracting. You are so lovely and kind and I'm so in love with you."
Principal Weems brow furrowed and her lips pursed, obviously thinking about your omission. She stood, slowly making her around the desk, stopping in front of you. Weems leaned back on the desk, folding her arms over her chest. Never has she had a student admit something like this to her before.
You look back down at the floor. Your face flush with embarrassment. Why did you do that?
"Y/n... I'm flattered, truly..." She paused and finally spoke again, "But you must understand that as your Principal, I'm not someone you can have a relationship with. I can't condone staff having relationships with students, regardless of their age. There is just a power dynamic here that wouldn't be appropriate."
She tried to explain as best as possible, not trying to invalidate your feelings, but she wanted to make sure that there was no chance between you and her.
"My apologies, Principal Weems." You stood, making your way towards the door, Larissa following you, "I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable."
"No worries, y/n." She held the door open, wanting to end the awkward conversation as quickly as possible, but she spoke again when you were outside the door, "Perhaps, try again after graduation. You may have more luck."
You eyes were wide as Principal Weems shut the door.
If you picked: B) Keep your feelings to yourself and keep pining
You shrug, your gaze studying the pattern of the carpet. You hated being scolded, but it was better than admitting the way you felt.
"Honestly..." Larissa sat back in her chair, exasperated with your behavior and not knowing what to do with you, "Y/n, I am going to switch you over to your dorm supervisor for these meetings. They told me you both have a great relationship. I think you will be better off."
You want to argue, but you remain passive, only nodding along with her decision.
"I will get the information transferred over to them. You will have your progress meeting first thing tomorrow before your anatomy lecture." Principal Weems went to work on her computer, working for a few seconds before looking back up at you, "You are excused."
With a deep exhale, you stand, making your way to the door, taking one glance over your shoulder before walking out the door. Principal Weems was working at her desk, but she had noticed you stop. She glanced upwards, giving you a dazzling smile, "Have a nice day, y/n."

2k12! Leonardo x Waterbender! reader
a/n: Ooooo we really getting into the backstory now :) I already can't wait for the s3 arc, i have so much planned!! tw: gets a bit dark
“April?”
Y/n is startled when she hears the door open, then loudly slam shut. Peering around the corner of the wall separating the kitchen from the living room, she spots April tossing her bag onto the floor.
“Did something happen?” She turns off the stove, bringing out a glass of water. April accepts it gratefully, though the scowl on her lips remains as she gulps down the refreshing liquid.
“Yeah, Donnie followed me home,” April answers bitterly, Y/n taking the now empty cup from her hands. “Anyway, I just came by to drop off a few things before heading back out again.”
“What about dinner? I made some fish stew,” Y/n tries to coax, gesturing to the pot on the stove. April hesitates but shakes her head in response. “C’mon, at least bring along some salmon jerky.”
“You already gave me some. It’s still in my bag. I’ll have that and microwave the stew after I return home.” April stands back up, grabbing her bag and slinging it across her waist again.
“Who will you be out with? Don’t come back home too late.”
“I’ll be going to see a friend. Casey Jones. Y’know, the guy I’m tutoring?” Y/n shakes her head in response, April looking at her blankly before remembering that Y/n didn’t go to school. She had stayed at April’s home for the past week, doing her own thing.
Ever since that night, when the small voice of temptation whispered in the corner of her mind, Y/n tossed and turned in bed, restless. She didn’t understand where it had come from, much less why it had turned up.
But she knew it was a reminder of the memory she tried so hard to push to the back of her mind, one that haunts her if she doesn't try to forget.
“I don’t want that kind of power.”
It was the night of the full moon, and Y/n and Katara stood behind Hama. Y/n had bluntly refused Hama’s initial offer to teach them bloodbending, Katara nodding in agreement.
“The choice is not yours. The power exists.” Hama’s voice hardens. “It’s your duty to use this gift to win this war. They tried to wipe us out, Katara. Your culture, your tribe, your mother.” Hama switches to winning over Katara instead, the soft-hearted girl hesitant.
Y/n places her arm in front of the younger girl, taking a bold step forward protectively. “You’re the one who’s behind the missing people, aren’t you?” She realizes, putting the pieces together.
When Toph mentioned voices under the mountain, they all thought she was joking, maybe even hearing things. But now Y/n knew for sure that Hama was behind everything.
“They threw me in prison to rot, along with my brothers and sisters,” Hama’s smile twists into a sneer, practically spitting her words, "They deserve the same. You must carry on my work.”
“No, we won’t. I won’t use bloodbending, much less use it as a means to an end. It's not something that should be tampered with.” Y/n states with finality, grabbing Katara’s hand and turning. “C’mon, Katara, we need to find the others.”
She lets out a yelp when her arm is twisted behind her back, fingers letting go of Katara’s wrist. She spots Hama moving, bloodbending her entire body along with Katara’s. She grunts, trying to fight back. Her arms are forcibly pinned down against her sides, teeth gritted as she glares at the witch.
“Let me go!”
“You should have learned the technique before you turned against me. It’s impossible to fight your way out of my grip.” Hama cackles in glee, “I control every muscle, every vein in your body!”
As if to prove her point, she forces Y/n’s body to move against her will, making her dance as her limbs move jerkily, like a mere puppet on a string. Katara struggles, trying to escape and help her friend.
Y/n’s pinned against the tree trunk, eyes burning with unshed tears as every cell in her body screams in pain. Nothing was listening to her; she had never felt so powerless against a foe.
Katara screams, Hama forcing her to kneel down. “Stop, please,” Y/n begs. Katara was probably going through the same pain, wanting nothing more than to protect the young girl.
With a flick of her wrist, Hama pulls Y/n’s body to kneel closer to her, placing a foot on her bare shoulder. Evil laughter echoes throughout the forest, Y/n seething at her helplessness.
No. No more. She wouldn’t be manipulated by someone like this. Not by someone who has taken them in with false kindness, someone who had given them hope that everything would be okay again.
The howling wind fills her ears, the light of the full moon shining down on them in the open area of the forest. Her eyes are closed, feeling the tears trickle down her cheek. She couldn’t surrender to her. Her mind races with thoughts and potential ways to get out of their situation. But no matter how hard she thought, there was no way out.
But in a moment of desperation, it hits her.
There was only one way to even the playing field.
Her fingers curl into fists, the grass that tickles the skin of her fingers wilting as a circle of death spreads out from under her hands. She slowly stood up with all the courage and strength she could muster. Her eyes open, filled with a new determination.
Sure, she was a healer from the North Pole and didn’t know what Hama had gone through. But she was tired of hiding and having others fight the battles for her while all she did was heal.
She watches Hama’s expression turn into one of shock, stumbling back. “You’re not the only one who draws power from the moon, Hama. I’m a more powerful bender than you’ll ever be.”
She moves her arms into a circle, summoning a ring of water surrounding her. She sends it hurtling towards Hama with all the force she can muster, but Hama manages to catch it, sending double the amount back.
The stream of water narrows as it gets closer, Y/n watching with focused eyes and a calm gaze. She’s a healer, one that can see the flow of life itself. Defence and healing were her strengths, which she would wield as her weapons.
Now.
She sees how the water flows, closes her eyes and places her hand in front of her. In a single moment, she takes control, suddenly stopping its movement. It splashes onto the ground around her, droplets landing on Hama who’s taken aback by the sudden display of power while Y/n stands firm, untouched.
In another swift movement, she draws on the moon's power once more, using the water to pull Hama’s feet from below her, flipping the old woman and making her land on the dirt.
She spots Aang and Sokka running towards them, gasping when she sees Hama’s eyes light up with a sinister smile.
“We know what you’ve been doing, Hama!”
“Give up; you’re outnumbered!”
No.
Not them.
Dread pools in her gut, feeling it twist as Hama chuckles.
“You’ve outnumbered yourselves.”
“Y/n? Hello?”
She starts, looking up from the cup in her hands to April, who looks at her with concern.
“Are you okay? I’ve been calling you for the past five minutes.”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She forces a smile, trying to assure the worried girl. “Go hang out with this ‘Casey', but don’t be back too late, okay?”
April rolls her eyes with a smile, her earlier encounter with Donnie now forgotten. “I’ll be fine, Y/n. Don’t stay up too late, though.” She walks to the door, glancing back at the quiet girl who looks back down at the empty cup in her hands.
She hesitates. Was it really okay to just leave like this?
“Hey,” She finds herself speaking, “Would you like to come to school with me tomorrow?”
Y/n practically lights up, sitting upright when she hears April’s words. “Really? You mean it?”
April nods, chuckling when Y/n claps her hands excitedly. “I can’t wait! What will I wear??”
“You can look through my closet. School’s at 8 am tomorrow, so we gotta leave by 730.”
“You say that like I’ve never attended school before,” Y/n says with a roll of her eyes.
“Have you attended school before?” April’s already closing the gate behind her, her head tilted slightly. Y/n pauses in her steps, heading to the kitchen.
“I was homeschooled.”
— — — — — — — —
“Maybe I should bring some brushes!” Y/n finds the tote bag April had gifted her a while back, slinging it across her shoulder with glee. She pauses, forgetting that they used ‘pencils’ and ‘pens' in this world.
So she grabs a few that lay on April’s desk, making a mental note to let her know that she had borrowed them. She opens the fridge next, pulling out some salmon jerky she had made while she stayed home. She wraps them in cling wrap, used to the strong fishy smell that it gives off and shoves it into the tote bag as well.
Pulling out her T-Phone, she scrolls down the (somewhat limited) list of contacts. Stopping at Leo’s name, her finger hovers over it.
Should she call him? Would it be awkward? What if he didn’t pick up? Wouldn’t that be embarrassing?
Instead, she calls Raph.
She puts it on speakerphone, sits on the couch and grabs random items to put inside her bag. Sachets of tea leaves go in, with a book to keep her entertained and to brush up on this world’s vocabulary. What else would one need in a school?
She continues to ponder, the phone ringing till it reaches voicemail. She tries calling Mikey next, but it just goes to voicemail.
Leo it is.
She waits, wondering why they aren’t answering. Anxiety pricks at her gut, worried she was interrupting them on a critical mission. However, Leo picks up.
“Hello?”
“Leo! Guess what??”
She waits for a response, hearing his laboured breathing. Her brows furrow in confusion. “Are you okay?”
“I’m-” She hears the sound of a blaster going off with a yelp from a voice she recognizes as Mikey before Leo continues to speak. “Okay! Just a bit preoccupied right now. But what’s up?”
“Tui’s gills, Leo. Why’d you pick up while you’re in the middle of something??” She practically scolds him.
“You called. Why wouldn’t I pick up?” She can hear the innocent confusion in his voice, feeling her cheeks heat up.
“Just- I’ll text you instead. Stay safe.” She blurts out, pressing the button to hang up the phone, glancing at the clock with a sharp exhale. She holds her hands against her hot cheeks, willing them to cool down. It’s only eleven pm.
Maybe a quick meditation session would do some good.
She sits down on the floor, cross-legged and closes her eyes. She tries to empty out her mind, banishing all thoughts from her mind except one:
Why now?
Why had the temptation of using bloodbending only shown up now?
Bloodbending.
It’s a term she never thought she’d ever have to bring up again, not after that night. It draws her in, lacing its dark power with words of honey, promises of control and desires granted.
But she knew better. Didn’t she?
You know you want to. Just bloodbend, and you’ll have the whole world under your control. It’s just a small step away.
She tenses, forcing away the whisper in the corner of her mind that disappears with what sounded like a growl. She takes a deep breath in, taking in the power of the full moon all around her and sensing the presence of all forms of water around her.
The tap drips slowly, the hot water cooling down in the kettle, even the ice in the fridge. She breathes out slowly, beginning to sense the bodies of people around her. The old man sleeping in the unit above, the dog that looks for scraps in the alleyway beside the building, even the mugger that corners an innocent passerby a distance away…
It’s so simple; to just reach out and grasp the strings. Her fingers brush against them, pulling on a single thread out of pure curiosity. Just to see what would happen if she did. To control them.
She gasps, her eyes flying open at the thought as beads of sweat form on her brow and trail down the side of her face. Her heart beats rapidly in her chest, and panic begins to overwhelm her.
What was that?
She shakes her head, gritting her teeth and glancing at the tote bag she had placed on the couch. Her eyes soften, remembering April’s words. School. She’s going to school for the first time in her whole life tomorrow morning.
What happened earlier was probably nothing.
She stands up, satisfied with what she had packed for the next day, heading to April’s bedroom and lying in their bed. She feels her eyelids grow heavy, letting them slide shut as she finally drifts off to sleep.
And yet, in the dead of night, the mugger a few streets down gasps for air, lying on the cold concrete as his fingers desperately grab at nothing. His heart was being squeezed so tightly it felt like it’d burst. His fingers turn a light shade of purple, and he pleads desperately for the pain to stop.
And finally, it does.
— — — — — — — —
“Did you hear about that mugger a few streets down?”
Y/n looks up from her leftover fish stew from the night before, chewing and swallowing with a small polite burp. “No, why? What happened?”
“Apparently, he had a heart attack while mugging someone,” April says, sitting on the counter with a wince.
“I guess he deserved it,” Y/n shrugs, noticing how her roommate avoids putting pressure on her left arm. She puts down her spoon, instantly suspicious. “Okay, what’s going on? I know bad acting when I see it.” She crosses her arms, watching April shift around in her seat guiltily.
“I might have…Gotten into a fight.” April admits sheepishly.
Y/n pinches the bridge of her nose, holding out her hand. “Arm.”
“It’s not that big a deal; it was just….” April hesitates, surrendering her bruised arm to Y/n, who inspects it, bending the water out of her cup and wrapping it around the bruise. She can’t stop the sigh of relief that slips past her lips, grateful for the cool sensation.
“Was just what?” Y/n asks, looking up and waiting patiently for an answer.
“...Was just Karai – OW!” April flinches, pulling her arm back when the temperature instantly drops.
“Sorry!” Y/n apologizes hastily, gently taking April’s arm and continuing to heal it. “So, what about her?”
“Well, it really wasn’t anything big. She just tried to…well, destroy me – OW!!” April wrenches her arm away once more from the sudden drop in temperature. “I’m beginning to think that you don’t like her.”
Y/n laughs in embarrassment, April huffing before choosing to keep quiet about last night's encounter. Until she finished her healing, anyway. The yellow skin, splotched with hints of purple and blue, slowly fades until her skin is back to its normal tone and colour.
“Thanks.” April finishes her breakfast quickly, placing the bowls in the basin.
“I wasn’t done with that!” Y/n complains, but she notices why April’s in such a rush. She glances at the clock above the television.
7.40 am.
“Oh! We’re gonna be late!” April rolls her eyes playfully at Y/n’s realization, grabbing their bags and approaching the door. “C’mon, we gotta be there by eight!”
Y/n grabs a brush, trying to comb her hair nicely. “Do I look acceptable for this world’s society?” She asks April, who gives her a once over, nodding in acceptance. She grabs her water bag, slinging it across her waist, only to be stopped by April, who shakes her head.
“This is school, not a battlefield.” April reasons with Y/n, who frowns. She reluctantly removes it and leaves it on the couch, shutting the door behind her. Oh well, anything to experience school.
They rush there, April running while Y/n jogs. “I don’t get how you’re at the same pace as me while I’m running, and you’re not.” April grouches, struggling to catch her breath as they stand outside the school.
Y/n feels perfectly fine, though a few beads of sweat form on her brow. She shrugs. “I mean, I did have some practice in running away.”
She offers April some of the bottled water in her bag, the latter taking a grateful sip. “I’ll introduce you to my friends later, but for now, we have history class first in the morning.”
“Oh? Does this include the ‘Casey’ you keep talking about?” Y/n teases lightly, grinning when the redhead starts, a blush slowly forming on her cheeks as she splutters, trying to find a response.
“Yes, it does.” April calms down with just a simple roll of her eyes, smiling back. “Oh! I forgot to tell you this, but I made up with them. Donnie and the rest, I mean.”
A flicker of annoyance pricks Y/n’s gut, her brows furrowing. She pulls out her T-Phone, scanning the messages to see none from the turtles about the new information, much less about the attack last night. “Seriously…” She grumbles, inhaling deeply as frustration makes itself known on her face.
“Why does no one tell me anything??”

(screenshot of a tumblr post which says: watched some video about a shitty kid yesterday and caught myself thinking "my god the kids these days are out of control" and praise the Lord I immediately reflexively scolded myself like "you were exactly this stupid when you were 13, stupider probably, here's a memory of you doing and saying something so completely terrible because you were a kid and kids don't know better" you cannot let up your vigilance even for a moment, you must constantly fight against age related conservatism and never stop internally interrogating your reactions)
Okay but I feel like maybe you should in fact interrogate your second reaction of "oh kids are just completely unintelligent and never know better, I was a kid who made mistakes and didn't know better and therefore kids in general are simply Not Bad for having these beliefs because they're incapable of having thoughtful and nuanced understandings of topics or Good Views on them".
Like it's still age-related conservatism to treat kids as basically animals who lack all capacity for critical thought or knowledge around a subject, especially teens who are specifically often at a developmental stage where they've learned some amount of critical analysis and are now learning to effectively apply it. You don't magically become capable of Having Good Views at 18 or 25 or whatever arbitrary magical number people have decided makes your Brain Work Good, as evidenced by plenty of shitty adults with awful opinions and amazing kids working hard to change the world.
And sure, OP may not have intended that when writing that post. In fact, I'm rather certain they didn't. But that's exactly WHY you have to question your thoughts around how you react and respond to children. That's exactly WHY you can't just stop at the "you kids get off my lawn" levels of extremely obvious childism and actually analyze the deeper ingrained biases you have against children.
Because even setting aside the casually ableist language (though ableism against those with cognitive/intellectual/developmental disabilities is so intrinsically intertwined with childism and youth oppression that it can't really ever be fully set aside), "oh well it's fine because they're young and therefore are incapable of being anything but shitty about this" and specifically "because they are not intelligent in a meaningful way here" is still very much ageism.
The reason it's acceptable for kids to mess up is in fact related to the fact that they're in the process of learning, but it's not because they're just intrinsically unintelligent or incapable. It's because people are allowed to mess up when they're learning new things.
Adults who only escaped extreme conservative religious upbringings as adults and are then having to do all the work of unlearning what they were taught and learning new things to replace it, people with developmental disabilities or who have to relearn things due to cognitive trauma/injury, someone who simply has a knowledge gap around a certain subject and is clumsily learning it for the first time... all those people are allowed to make mistakes and accidentally say harmful things.
There are also ways to safely and compassionately hold every single one of the groups accountable for doing so and help them when they do accidentally do harm, without punishing them for trying to learn, but unfortunately people don't often acknowledge that. And often as a result, unfortunately, people either jump to punitive treatment which can itself be harmful (driving religious abuse survivors back to their abusers, discouraging people from attempting to learn, teaching children not to trust you, etc) or infantalize the person in question (which is itself inherently harmful).
The intentions were good. "I made mistakes at this age so I should be patient with kids and give them grace and the space and whatever level of help is appropriate on my part to help them learn from those mistakes" is what I suspect the OP was trying to convey.
I just think it got lost in "Kids are stupid, I was a stupid kid, kids say stupid shit because they're stupid", or in nicer terms, what very much reads as, "kids make these mistakes because a kid being shitty is just an inherent part of their nature as a kid".
That's the part I take issue with. The statement was not "kids sometimes act stupid" or "kids sometimes say stupid shit" (with an implied or explicitly stated "because they're learning"). It was "kids are stupid" as a state of being, not even with a temporal qualifier such as "sometimes".
While I'd still take issue with the specific language used, at least the former treat the lapses in good judgment as what they are - temporary behaviors or chains of reasoning made in error as a result of learning to move through the world as an analytical, thinking person. The latter, well, however unintentionally, treats kids as none of those things.

Could I request general headcannons for Crocodile and Shanks from One Piece and Pip from hellsing?
Crocodile would be very possessive, and try his best to get Darling under his lock and key ASAP. He'll give them little expensive gifts, clothes, and once he's got them he'll move them to his place or get them a penthouse close to him so he can give them an illusion of being independent. Eventually he'll move them in to his own home though.
He's the kind of yandere where he only becomes soft and warm in private, with the only physical contact you get in public being possessive. He'll have an arm around you, brush your lips with his finger, cup your cheek, but his hand is much more domineering in public. In private he softens and allows himself to be vulnerable for just a little bit.
No issues with drugging or coercing his Darling into sex. He's a man of ambition, and he always gets what he wants. If Darling reciprocates or is merely compliant, he's happy to reward them. If they're rebellious and defiant, then he'll hold them down if need be and punish them until they submit. Prefers spanking and edging them if he's going to do this.
Shanks is a yandere who is very self-aware but comes across as very relaxed and chill. You wouldn't really notice he's a yandere unless you were in a life threatening situation; he's got the face he had at Marineford the instant you're in danger, and he has to actively stop himself from slaughtering an entire crew when he just wants to teach their leader a lesson.
His obsession comes out more if he's been drinking. He'll be even more affectionate and be so handsy, and just can't keep his hands and lips and cock off of Darling as he mutters and laughs about how much he loves them. And he gets just a little more intense than usual, enough to make Darling raise an eyebrow but chalk it up to him being drunk. "Haaah, I really do love ya, y'know? Just having you with me makes me breathe easy. N' anyone who tries to take ya away's gonna STOP breathing, hehe...Alllll mine."
He's the kind of yandere who won't melt down if you escape, since he can easily track you down. He'll be upset and look/sound very serious when he takes you home again, and he'll use his Haki to make you submit to whatever punishment he'll give you. He's always gentle afterwards, and while he punishes you he's very soft spoken in a way that's scarier than just him yelling.
Pip is a yandere who falls head over heels pretty damn quickly. He'll be trying to charm his Darling, learn more about them, and let them know his intentions loud and clear. Very handsy and touchy, but not in a 100% sexual way: he wants to put a hand on their shoulder, poke their cheek, rest his chin on their head if they're shorter, etc. A mix of teasing, loving, and a little sensual.
He's faced some crazy supernatural shit before, so it'd be hard to faze him or intimidate him. You'd probably have to go the indirect route and ask Integra or Seras to tell him to knock it off, though it isn't a guaranteed win. Integra would likely tell you that she isn't your mother and that as long as it doesn't interfere with Pip's work, and he doesn't try to assault you in her home, you can work it out yourself. Seras might be more inclined to help and tell Pip to knock it off, but he'll still secretly try to win you over.
He won't kidnap a Darling permanently, just take them out for a "surprise date/romantic rendezvous". He'll slip a glass of some high quality wine into your hand, plead and charm and manipulate you into accepting his offer of a date, then toss you a lovely outfit he bought with his last job's payment. It really is a nice evening, though you need to watch what drinks he gives you. You might wake up to him eagerly making you cum on his hands and tongue, as he helps "convince" you (your body anyway) that you two are meant to be.

can you talk a bit more about the self destruction aspect of fight club?
Yeah sure!
Fight club hits this interesting destructive nexus of nihilism, anarchy, marxist alienation, anti consumerism, and male sociology.
Starting with the marxist alienation bit; the fundamental underpinning of the novel is essentially that the narrator's job and society has driven him insane. He is part of a machine that trades human lives for inconsequential profit. His job is supposed to be about protecting people but instead it's about damning them. All his coworkers seem fine with this. He is getting away with it. His company is getting away with it. He is firmly aware of just how much his job and other jobs like his are accepted and accomadated for. He has no control over himself as a cog in the system. He knows he cannot actually stop what's occuring. He would just be replaced. The company would get away with it in the end. Ford Pinto. Etc.
This is inherently distressing. People don't naturally wish to do that. He sees no fruit of his labor beyond enabling death.
This alienation is common, and consumerism is given as a balm for all the post-industrial foie gras in the making in industrialized countries. Don't worry, all that angst and discomfort can be solved by buying things. Buy things. It will make you feel better. Buy things. It'll make you a better person. Buy things. It's a measure of success.
Nevermind that you're a feedlot for corporate profit.
This, too, chafes at the end of the day. Frankly, it develops this hate for the world that is like this, and for him, being a part of it. He finds everything including himself repulsive.
He, quite literally, can't sleep at night because of how fucked all of it is.
So what do you do? Honestly. How can you change it? Can you change it? Is it worth trying to fix?
It all feels meaningless. It feels pointless. It feels cruel.
In the 90s especially, there was a huge nihilistic push. I think it's important to consider ideological shifts like these in the framework of "how does this benefit the ruling class?"
nihilism has two thoughts on it, rejection and acceptance of nietzschian affirmation of life. do you reject and turn away from the world for its atrocities? do you embrace its horrors?
Fight Club, like most things, has a bit of both. Reject the world. Embrace the ugliness. Stew in your own shit.
But still, you still know it's all going on. You want to kill that corpse you're all rotting under.
Your reaction to this omnipresent pain of society is in very large part influenced by society itself. And society says, I'm indestructable. The shadow of history leans too large. You can't escape me.
And society teaches men, embrace destruction. Violence, war. Your ability to hurt is what makes you strong, full people. Your ability to destroy outweighs your ability to create — if you create, it's so you have absolute power to destroy.
So with abject hopelessness and a profound lack of creation instilled by society, he turns to destruction. Of himself, of society, of the burden of history.
He finds himself prone to anarchism, because his rebellion is based in the destruction of now and before, not the creation of a better future.
Even though, at heart, this is all a protest of the cruelty of this society against people, he finds himself unable to hate. Misanthropy, the easy drug, the one you are led to because it makes you far less effective at enacting change in society.
And misanthropy says hating people and especially yourself is good. Great even. And the rest of your burgeoning philosophy says, destroy. Destroy the past. Destroy now. Destroy your future.
So he goes and goes, until Tyler isn't real and he's about to blow up a building to destroy the burden of history, or blow up building to destroy credit scores, and he's kinda doing that martyr thing. Because he doesn't really have anything to live for, his idea of a future is vague and unrealistic. Because he's doing this to destroy.
But he stops it all.
And with the book, he realizes that we arent all simmering sacks of shit, not snowflakes either. We just are.
Misanthropy was useless. Destruction was useless.
Anyway, in my opinion it's just a very good ride of how these thought processes can interlock and feed each other to render your rebellion and anguish useless. Most of us won't try to bomb buildings of course, but this sort of mentality is actually extremely common. You see it a lot in environmentalism and climate change talk, which makes it so interesting to me that it's in the book too a bit. Again, that burden of history, that longing for destruction of unwanted responsibility.
It's a cautionary tale of sorts. Honestly I consider one of the biggest 'morals' of fight club to be; reject misanthropy. Don't hate thy neighbor. Try to build something.
The narrator isn't a cautionary tale against feeling that alienation and anger at society. It's just about, don't let it push you into making it worse. Don't lose sight of wanting something better.
