In celebration of trans day of visability, here’s some reasons why Bloodborne is so very trans!!!
First of all, there’s a brilliant article with Lilith Walther on why the game is so very transgender, I’d really recommend you give it a read!
First of all, all horror is queer. Bloodborne has a massive thing around transformation into werewolves and eldritch creatures, those changes are kinda trans.
The whole thing around ascesion is the bipassing of gender, violence, and humanity. Of the system and social contructs that lead to that violence. The lengths that the scholars go to in an attempt to ascend and the player eventually realising that goal is very very transgender!!! Bipass gender become squid.
That said eldritch creatures beyod our understanding are also inherently pretty trans, So is the fact most of them use she/her pronouns.
The focus on violence against women and the horror of childbirth and pregnancy isn’t inherently trans or queer, but it hits pretty home for some trans people (including me).
Got that trans drip (goth). Put your guys in the doll garb put your gals in the madman’s set.
Maria is presented as pretty butch in game and the choir has stereotypically fem clothing! Cool gender fuckery!!!!

My top surgery has been approved and it's scheduled for April 27th!!!!! I'm so excited, I've been vibrating all day about this 🐌🏳️⚧️🐛

So I'm openly non binary and Asexual online and honestly have been struggling for the past 3 months to find the "right time" to talk to my parents and brother. I see them the most, and so I think they should know before just posting it on other socials (facebook) and being fully out.
I'm just talking about this since today is Transgender Day of Visability and to anyone that reads this..
Your identity is valid no matter if you are out, semi out, or completely in the closet. Today, I see you, and I love you, just the way you are 🫰🏻

Trans rights are human rights. With April coming up it's so important to understand the difference between awareness and acceptance. People are aware that trans people exist, but many don't accept them.
For some trans individuals acceptance is a life or death situation. We need to keep moving forward so that our trans siblings don't need to live in fear, don't need to hide for their own safety, and can just be themselves openly, and proudly!
Also, just as a reminder: I am non-binary, and use they/them pronouns!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 3 years out of the closet and a little over 1.5 years on HRT! This road has been so hard, and I'm still struggling, but even in my smallest moments of happiness I am so much happier than I ever was when I couldn't be who I am. According to statistics, I have about 8 years of my life left. Let's see if I can't beat those odds. ;)
