"Man this is the fucking FIFTH studio I called today and none of them got availability tonight" You groaned out of frustration.

"Why you wait until the last minute to call these studios?" Delyse questioned.

"Well I just signed up for the contest. It was a spur of the moment thing I didn’t really think it through." You said.

Delyse hummed in response and turned her attention back to the food on the stove.

"We can see if Kenny still got his home studio. I think he still live on 33rd" Davis said.

"Bet let's go. We'll be back Ma" You said to your mother and left with Davis.

"You got a song you gonna record?" Davis asked.

"Yeah I wrote it a long time ago. I made the beat and everything" You smiled.

Soon the two of you made it to Kenny's house. You walk into the building and climb up the three flights of stairs, remembering that his elevator never worked. You got to his door and knocked on it.

You waited patiently and slightly out of breath. You knocked again, "Yo Kenny it's me Jah."

Suddenly, the door was ripped opened and a furious looking woman stood there with a crying baby on her hip.

"Uh is Kenny here?" You asked.

The woman laughed sadistically, "Of course you're looking for Kenny. Kenny left four months ago with a skank from Brooklyn."

You and Davis looked at each other stuck on what to say.

"Um...you don't happen to still have his studio equipment?" You asked carefully.

"Nope. I burned it. I burned everything of his" The woman replied.

"Okay thanks" You both gave her a small smile and walked away from Kenny's former apartment. The two of you left the building with you feeling utterly defeated.

"What the fuck am I gonna do? I have to submit this demo by 11:59 tonight" You sighed.

"Don't stress bruh we gon' figure something out. Trust" Davis reassured you. You nodded and took a deep breath in to calm your body down.

1:23 am

Jenna had just got to her temporary home after a long day of filming. She was exhausted and was glad she had the day off so she can rest properly. She pulled her shoes off and placed her purse on the table.

Just as she was about to sit on the couch, a knock is at her door.

She internally screams before she walks to the door and opens it to reveal Hudson.

Jenna sighed, "What do you want Hudson?"

"I...just wanted to check in on you. I know you've been working hard which could be harmful to the baby" Hudson said nervously.

"Now you care about me and my baby" Jenna said and raised her eyebrow in suspicious at the boy.

"I always cared about you Jenna. If I didn't I wouldn't be here right now" Hudson replied.

"If you cared about me you wouldn't have told my family about me being pregnant. That wasn't something someone who cared about me would do" Jenna said and crossed her arms over her chest.

"You're right. I shouldn't have done that, it wasn't my place to do that and I sincerely apologize" Hudson said.

Jenna hummed in response, not really believing his words.

Hudson sighed and scratched the back of his neck, "I truly am sorry and I regret doing it. I just...I just wanted to check on you after everything that happened with Neil on the plane."

At the mention of the male, Jenna tensed. She was doing good with pushing him out of her thoughts. Instead, choosing to focus on her filming. She couldn't and won't let him control her...not anymore. She deserved to be happy.

"I'm fine. I'll handle it" Jenna lied.

Hudson opened his mouth to say something but decided against it after seeing the look on her face.

"Okay...I'll uh...see you tomorrow" Hudson said and walked away from her door. Jenna shut the door after he left and sat on her couch. She was stressed and that wasn't good for her or the baby...she needed to relieve some stress.

Jenna groaned and placed her phone down next to her. She needed to eat, shower, and sleep. But before she could even attempt to start, her phone dinged again. She grabbed it and opened the message from you, she took a sharp inhale of air.

You laughed at Jenna's message and fixed yourself before walking out the bathroom. You and Davis got back to your Mother's house defeated from the lack of progress in finding a studio.

You don't know how you were going to finished this demo and submit it in 4 hours.

A knock at the door grabbed your attention, you watched as your mother walks to the door and cracks it open.

"Hey Leon" Delyse smiled brightly at the sight of the man.

"Hey Del, how you doing?" Leon gave her a smile back.

"I'm good just cooking for these clingy kids" Delyse answered and opened the door wider for Leon to see you and Davis.

"Hey Mr. Greenhill" You and Davis simultaneously greeted the older man. Leon chuckled and waved at them.

"Oh I knew I smelled something delicious. Man I missed smelling your cooking reminds me of the old days" Leon flattered.

Delyse let out a little giggle, "Yeah the old days."

The two adults stood in the doorway looking at each other basking in the comfortable silence. Meanwhile, you and Davis looked at each other before looking back at the older adults.

"I...uh just wanted to stop by and say hello. I don't wanna intrude anymore than I already have" Leon smiled at Delyse.

"No, no, no intruding...do you want a plate?" Delyse boldly asked.

It took a moment for Leon to come up with a response but eventually he did, "Uh yeah sure."

The older gentleman walked into the house and Delyse closed the door behind him. Leon pulled off his cap and held it in his hands. He sat next to you at the end of the table.

"How you guys doing?" Leon politely said to you and Davis.

"Eh" You shrugged.

"Eh? Why eh?" Leon questioned.

"Jah signed up for this music competition. Winner gets a five million dollar record deal with Passion Records. The contestants must submit a demo by 11:59 p.m tonight but we haven't found a studio all week" Davis explained.

"And I tried recording it on my phone but the audio is all grainy and hard to hear" You sighed.

"Hmm...can you sing the song you are going to submit?" Leon questioned.

You and Davis glanced at each other again but Davis just shrugged. You scrolled to the notes app and pulled the beat of the song you are going to use.

"Rollin' through with stacks, it's easy, money rainin' down, just like a storm, I got the riches-" You get interrupted by Leon pausing the beat on your phone.

"No" Leon said.

"No? What you mean no? It's a good song" You scoffed.

"Yeah for the early 2015 era when singing about money like that could get you hits. It's 2023 now, people want to hear something different something unique. If I was a judge and I heard that...I would think you're just hopping on the trendy music hoping for yours to be the hit. But you don't realize that everyone is thinking the same thing as you. The only way for you to be looked at twice is if you stand out. Let the lyrics come from within you, come from your heart" Leon explained to you.

Delyse then comes from the kitchen with a plastic bag with aluminum foiled wrapped plates inside.

"Here you go" Delyse smiled and handed Leon the bag.

"Thank you. I really appreciate this Delyse" Leon smiled at her grateful. He stood up from the table and grabbed his cap.

"Once you find those lyrics, come and find me on Southern BLVD but hurry though you got four hours left" Leon said and left the house.

Meanwhile, you sat stuck at the dining room table. Replaying the words Leon said, basically calling your song shit. It stung but deep down you knew he was right. The song didn't feel like you, it felt like a 14 year old wrote it and it wasn't your style.

You glanced at the clock on the wall as you grabbed a pen and paper. 7:48 p.m. Your eyes then glanced down to your phone and an unopened message from Jenna.

"Have to be..." You muttered to yourself. Instantly, your hand starts to move by itself as you write down the lyrics to your new song.

Two hours later, you finally finished and made your way to Southern BLVD with Davis tagging along.

"Why Southern BLVD though? What's here besides crackheads and prostitutes?" Davis commented.

The two of you continued walking down the block until you start to hear the sound of music. The closer you got to the corner, the louder and clearer the music became. It was street drummers and Leon was in the middle of them playing the electric guitar. You and Davis watched in amazement as he kept up with the drummers until they finished their last cord together.

The small amount of people that were gathered applauded them and a couple gave a few dollars before walking away.

"Yo I ain't know you could play the guitar Mr. Greenhill" Davis said.

Leon chuckled, "I'm a man with many talents son." The older male turned to you.

"I'm assuming you got something better with you this time" Leon teased.

You laughed, "Yeah I do. Wrote it from the heart like you said."

"Alright, well you better warm up that voice. You got a song to perform" Leon smiled and patted your back.

"Wait what? Right now? In public?" You questioned.

"Uh yeah. You need to submit that demo in two hours. I checked to see if you submit a live version of your demo and it said you could so get a move on" Leon said and stepped to the side.

"I don't got a beat though I just have the lyrics" You said. You were really trying your hardest not to perform in front of people severely underprepared.

"Don't worry about that" Leon said and placed the guitar over his shoulder.

Leon then played a cord on the guitar, soon the bucket drummer started feeling the vibe and matched the cord Leon was playing. Then you heard someone sweeping from behind you, it surprisingly also matched with everyone. You start to nod your head, feeling the rhythm and you grabbed the beat up microphone from the ground.

Davis pulled out his phone to start recording you.

"Can't wait for you to get home, we ain't got to go nowhere. Airplane on my phone, it can wait til the morning. I can't fathom why you choose me out billions but I'll take it" You sung. You felt your eyes close as you got lost into the music.

Soon, you finished off the song to a large crowd cheering and clapping at your performance.

"I told you let the lyrics come from your heart. You made magic tonight Jah, take pride of your work" Leon educated you.

You nodded at him and walked over to Davis who was fiddling with his phone.

"And submitted" Davis smiled at you as he submitted the demo on the competition website.

"Hard part is over for now. Now we wait" You exhaled deeply.

(Be There For You Follow Up)

A/N: Same universe as BTFY, different characters, same medicine. You don't need to read BTFY to understand this story tho they're kinda their own thing

“I mean, every college kid does a clinical trial to make a quick buck at least once, right? That’s just like, part of the freshman experience!” You were on the phone with your friend as you stood outside the clinic, ready to get tied up to an IV for 10 hours or have your sleep monitored.

“Whatever. Don’t let them do anything stupid to you, alright?” Your friend replied, dryly.

“They’re doctors! They wouldn’t intentionally hurt me, right? Anyways, I’m gonna go in!” Way too optimistic, considering you were willing to go through Hell for $1000.

You walked in and went to the front desk.

“Hi, can I help you?” The worker, wearing a name tag that said “Jeno” asked you. He seemed… like your average nerd. Chunky, black rimmed glasses in a rectangle shape.

“I’m actually wondering if you have any studies that I could participate in.” You smiled up at him, biting your lip, as to avoid asking him if his bright pink hair was up to code.

“Hm…” He grabbed a paper. “How about you fill this out to let us get a better grasp of who you are, then I’ll have a doctor chat with you, alright?” He quickly smiled up at you, but his eyes were cold, probably wishing you’d leave him alone already.

You nodded. “Thanks!”

After about 30 minutes and 100 questions later, you were called into an exam room, and you sat on the bed in there.

A young man with wire rimmed glasses and light blue hair entered and applied hand sanitizer. “So, my name is Kun Qian. So I’ve checked your questionnaire and your medical history, and I’ve compiled a list of things you are able to participate in.”

He handed you a stack of papers, and on top, there it was.

This medication is being tested to treat PCOS and other hormone irregularities.

Side effects include a heightened libido, sensitivity during sex, as well as more intense and stronger orgasms.

You glanced up at Kun, who was clicking his pen. “I’ll just do this one, it seems simple enough.”

Kun sighed, rolling his neck back to crack his neck. “The E one? It’s important for you to know that the side effects of this medication are… strong, to say the least.”

“What, am I going to go feral? It’s fine, just give me the jab.” You laughed, but Kun didn’t respond.

“Yes. The woman who received the 1.0 version was unable to sleep, eat… she couldn’t live a normal life for several weeks because of it. All she was able to do was have sex and be force-fed by her doctor… Well, boyfriend now, I guess.” He pulled off his glasses and looked you in the eye. “I promise, I will be right here, ready to assist you, or anything you may need, but I need to know that you can deal with the pain.”

“Well, when you put it like that… I guess I should learn a bit more first.”

“Do you have a husband or wife? Any significant other that might be able to help?” Kun started to write stuff down on his clipboard.

“Er, I have a roommate?” You fidgeted with the hem of your skirt, unsure of what Kun meant.

Kun exhaled loudly, leaning back in his chair, his annoyance with you obvious. “I meant someone you could have sex with, madam.”

“I have a vibrator?” You laughed, the hairs on your arms standing due to your nerves.

Kun bit his lip. “I think it’s in your best interest to choose another option.”

“Um, but I think this would be the easiest for me… All I have to do is track possible side effects, right? And I can go home?” You flipped through the other studies, ranging from a hypothermia study to a sociology study.

“Well, you’d have to stay here for a week, only so we can see how you’d react… but yes, you can.” Kun clicked his pen against the clipboard. “I’ll give it to you. Let me lead you to your room.

It actually wasn’t that bad, considering this was an independent clinic. You had your own bedroom and bathroom, and your roommate sent you clothes for your week stay.

Kun sat on the chair next to your bed, letting you settle in before giving you the shot.

“I’m ready.” You sat on the bed, shuffling over to where Kun was sitting.

“There.” Kun injected it. “I’ll stay with you for the first hour, if you don’t mind.”

“Not at all. Do you wanna get in bed with me?” You scooched over, letting him in.

“Um…” Kun stood up, sitting down next to you, taking his shoes off before moving to sit next to you.

“So, Doctor, how’s your day going?” You turned on the TV in front of you, switching the channel to some cheesy reality Lifetime show.

“You’re the first person I’ve seen today, so I guess… Good.” Kun inspected your body, from the palms of your hands down to your chest, then your thighs and feet. “So… what made you want to do this?”

“Money?” You glanced at him, noticing how plump his lips were after he bit his bottom lip. “Why does anyone let themselves do something like this?”

“Well, you’re not wrong, I guess.” The palm of his hand pressed against your forehead, trying to feel for your temperature. “Are you feeling okay?”

“It’s only been like… 5 minutes, so I guess I feel the same.” You looked up at Kun, who was now standing up and sliding his shoes back on.

A minute turned to two minutes, two turned to twenty, twenty turned to sixty…

“I want to check something.” Kun grabbed his stethoscope, putting it in his ears and against your heart. “I’ll be back in a minute…”

You just sat there, scrolling through your phone.

And it started. Your back hit the bed’s back board, the heat getting to you. You knew you were going to get horny, but you didn’t know it was going to be this bad…

The heavy wooden door opened again. “Okay, so I wanted to see if-”

“Doctor…” Your voice was so whiny, you hardly knew you could make that kind of tone. “Need you.” You sat on your knees, reaching out for him, lips pouting, drawling out every word. “You…” You finally got out a word. “Please, fuck me.” Tears began to well up in your eyes. It truly was a feeling you never felt, it was like you had been edging for days without release.

A million thoughts rushed into Kun's mind all at once. The loudest one being the word pathetic. You were a pathetic, whining mess, begging him for his cock, needing to fuck him. This is me!

Three Fun Facts About Me:

I have never been in a relationship before. Ever. The only experience I have in that department is through other people's stories, not really my own. And by that, I mean that I'm used to watching my friends/people around me getting in and out of relationships, and listening to songs about romance and love and heartbreak... but not really relating to them due to not having any of those experiences myself (but it's alright, tho. It'll happen when it happens! In the meantime, I always have my made-up ships from my writing lol).

My favourite book growing up was "Matilda" by Roald Dahl. I thought Matilda was such a cool girl growing up lol. And lowkey relatable in a lot of ways. No, I wasn't a child genius. But she kind of fits into the archetype that I always found comfort in due to being that kind of person myself. Smart/intellectually curious, bookworm, introverted/independent, genuinely kind and has a heart in spite of being seen as cold by others (another example of this is Huey from Boondocks. Been rewatching some episodes of that show recently and wow... forgot how crazy it was lol. It's good, tho).

Christmas is my favourite holiday! 🎅❄️🎄I do get why some people may dislike it, I guess (like, my younger sister isn't a fan, and she's explained why... I get it. The over-commercialisation of it takes a lot of the "specialness" out of it, you know? Distracts from the actual meaning behind it and all. Plus, it can suck if you're just feeling sad and lonely during a time of celebration for everyone else. Aside from that, technically Easter is more significant if you look at it from the lens of which Christian holiday is most important). But I love the joyfulness and festiveness. Makes me feel all jolly and cosy inside. Plus, I love singing Christmas carols. And presents. And Christmas movies. I just love Christmas lol.

Favorite season:

Autumn. Or fall, as some others prefer to call it. That's when my birthday is!!

(Second place is summer because that's holiday season. Plus, that's when my sister's birthday is.)

Introvert. 100% introvert lol. I feel most comfortable within myself when I'm by myself. As a kid, I was so painfully shy that the thought of going up to someone and asking a simple question would terrify me lol. As I got older, though, I was super duper lonely, and I realised that I had no real friends because I was keeping myself all closed off in a tight shell, so I'd literally force myself to open up and become more social and make friends with other kids. I practised it, like how you do with any skill. Now it's not so bad. I'd say I can carry a conversation with someone fairly well, even if I don't know them so well.

Favorite meal:

Ooooh.... this is hard. I love most foods lol.

I think I'll go with something a little bit more traditional. I'm Kenyan, and one of my favourite meals that I've grown up eating is chapatti and stew (any kind of stew, or soup. But my mum would usually make this stew with kidney beans. That was a big hit growing up). Haven't had it in almost a year, tho.

Aside from that, I love pizza. And Nandos.

ah fuck a follow-up ask but i'm also curious about your mainstays for shopping switches. i know about loobed, but. selection ultimately limited to whatever people are selling.

I've never used loobed actually. I am a freak who actually gets the newsletters from Cannonkeys, NovelKeys, Drop, and Divinikey and i think a few more places.

Divinikey and Novelkeys are amazing for getting cheap switches. I have to this day never bought full price switches I think, I always get them on sale.

It helps that.... I don't really give a shit about Boutique Switches? like, i mentioned before that I actually got some tactile bobas bc r/mk SWEARS UP AND DOWN they are the greatest tactiles of all time.

they're..... fine. not even in my top five. i was baffled at how lackluster i found them compared to other stock pre-lubed switches.

Here is my keyboard bookmark folder:

KBDFans - never used yet, they have a ton of stock but I don't love the prices and I will always buy from US shippers when I can

Akko - I've bought their 100% from their AliE store, it's my work keeb, I love it, they are the MASTERS of low price options imo and their ASA caps are great

NovelKeys - I check them every day because randomly they will do FLASH SALES on switches and slash prices heavily. also they are US-based, try to pay their workers well, take holidays off, and that kind of shit matters to me.

Drop - i don't get the hate for Drop, I love them. Frequent sales, BOGO events, wide selection, ships fast, and returns are actually viable. I think they're easy to hate on but they make the whole hobby more accessible. I want to try their DCX caps but I'm waiting for a BOGO and a friend who wants to get a set too.

Cannonkeys - GOD I WISH THEY WERE CHEAPER. they do sales on switches sometimes and those are great but fuck me they have so many good caps and I cannot bear to look bc expenny.

Divinikey - very wide and rotating selection. if you want a Keychron without the massive shipping delay, look here. also great sales.

Osume - someday I will justify to myself the price of one of their keycaps sets. today is not that day. goddamn they are gorgeous tho. /DREAMY SIGH

TheKey.Company - a lot of good stuff that I sadly don't need, but I think they're comparable to Drop for a good starter resource. great switch selection, but honestly their deskmats are great. I bought my first one from them and it was life changing.

Those are my go-to places for this bullshit terrible hobby. Follow them and you to can have a batshit collection like mine.

My thoughts on Trolls 3 & that Adam Sandler Lizard movie Leo (and also my thoughts on Wish)

So there's a lot to unpack here; let's start with the most basic, Trolls 3! It's adorable, nothing bad to say about it, good movie to watch with your family! For once I don't have a lot to say about a DreamWorks film, other than it was so cute and funny. I still prefer the first two but this was great and I loved the songs. I thought the 2D scene was a little bit weird my uncle thought the same. Didn't care for the villains' design but Velvet and Veneer were funny! I like how they had colorful lipsticks tho haha XD anyway, I recommend Trolls 3, see it in theaters if you still have time.

As for that Adam Sandler Lizard movie, it was great! It's called "Leo" and it's on Netflix. It kind of gets heavy when Leo finds out that he one year left to live and when he talks to the kids, it's amazing. I love how they tried to show different types of kids and different struggles they had. One girl talked to much, the other girl whose parents were going through a divorce, there was also a boy who was insecure about his voice and another one who was insecure about body hair, and I even liked how they didn't make the rich blonde popular girl be mean, they even showed her struggle too! There was also this one boy whose mom didn't allow him to play outside and be a kid and he had this drone follow him around all the time, and she even made him wear a hazmat suit inside his house which to me, was the most depressing. The part with the teacher, was on and off. I hated her for most of the movie but she even had redemption. The teacher at the beginning was really nice but it was the old lady teacher, idk man I didn't like her for most of the movie but at the end she's okay. I still think characters get redemption way too easily sometimes. Just my opinion... btw the humor was really good! It had that 90's Nickelodeon type of humor (like from CatDog or Rocko's modern life or Angry Beavers). Like, there were a few dirty jokes and just a few fourth wall breaks. Also, the movie had a good message. I wasn't expecting it to be a musical but it was. Let's just say that the songs weren't as good as Under the Boardwalk, but they weren't bad songs. Honestly, I even think the songs in Wish were better but Leo is over all a better movie and has a way better message.

About my opinion on Wish now, I don't recommend you watch it in theaters, unless you're a really wealthy person who can afford to see movies all the time. I mean, in my opinion it's a waste of time and money. It's better to watch it in the comfort of your own home on a free website, don't even watch it on Disney plus. There's a few reasons why but here's one of them https://www.instagram.com/reel/ but the other reason is because I don't think Disney deserves to make a lot of money form this. Part of me feels bad because I LOVE the character design, and the diversity. I feel bad for black girls, they can't get at least one modern Disney princess who from a good movie. Tiana's movie is old and she ends up marrying the dumb hunk prince when she just wanted to be a restaurant owner, Ariel is racebent but she's pretty cool even tho there's a war over her being black, and Asha's a sweet character but her movie doesn't make sense. Like, Wish's plot was all over the place; at first you were kind of on the king's side but they did make him out to be evil enough that you were on Asha's side. The hardest thing for me to understand was that at first she wanted the king to grant everyone's Wish because she wanted her grandpa to be happy since he was 100 years old, then she wanted to get her grandpa and mom's wishes back from the king, and then she wanted everyone to be happy but I was so lost... the only time I laughed was that one song and it showed the bear and the deer, and they called the deer "Bambi" as a joke, but really, it looked like Boog and Elliot from the Open Season franchise. The dancing chickens was pretty funny too, it reminded me of the Flip flop and fly scene in Chicken Run. Honestly, Wish isn't the worst Disney movie ever, but it's not that good. If you're planning on seeing it, know what you're in for. The story was incredibly boring as well, and the background characters barely had any personality or lines but were still cute (I like Asha's friends, especially the plus size girl in the red and also the girl with the yellow dress and blue thing in her hair). And like, the best thing about this movie had to be the character designs. Not only did it show race and skin color diversity, but it showed body type diversity as well! Some shows and movies just show skin color diversity and make the plus size characters the joke (like **cough cough** Total Drama show) but this movie actually have TRUE diversity! It's a shame that the story's a disaster because the designs were a 10/10... as for the story, it's a 4.5/10.

We've come to a conclusion. Watch Leo on Netflix and if you don't have Netflix, you can use kisscartoon, actvid, or whatever other free movie website you have. If you want to watch Wish I don't recommend seeing it in theaters but I'm not stopping you. (Please click the link to the video I sent). Also, Wish is better than most of the old Disney movies, don't go comparing it to peter pan or something, we know that movie's outdated and way worse than Wish. If you're a Trolls fan or just have any interest in seeing Trolls 3, GO SEE TROLLS 3 in theaters! I recommend it! And also, if you have any thoughts, whether you agree or not, just let me know. depictions and representations of mental health is probably the thing that's most consistent throughout my work? maybe its just the psych major talking but i find that stuff endlessly fascinating

i've lived in various places overseas for most of my life, so i enjoy stories set in unique locations absolutely DRENCHED in culture!!

current projects

i feel a bit awkward sharing these because again, i'm not a great writer, but i like reading about other writeblr's projects so i figured i'd give other people the option of seeing mine! warning for pretentious titles for very straightforward and basic concepts

WIP - flowers that mean "we'd miss you" - a short story I wrote while testing out subtext, character dynamics and prose!! the basic run-down is that a boy wakes up in the hospital and now he and his friends have to navigate a very difficult conversation. the subject matter definitely requires a content warning, and it has a few gaps i still need to fill, but overall i really like the direction it's headed!! out of all of these projects, it's probably the one i have the least issues with.

in the ataraxis of aftermath - this one is a novel i wrote for NaNoWriMo 2020! it is post-apocalyptic with elements of fantasy, slice-of-life, and romance, specifically lgbtq+ romance. it's about a girl exploring what remains of her flooded city when she suddenly finds another survivor. despite the genre, this novel is very slow-paced and calm, relying more on the character dynamics and emotional journey of the protagonist instead of traditional story beats and plotlines!! i finished the whole first draft that november (and without any real outline to guide me, so altogether it's a bit of a mess), and i plan on rewriting it after i finish the two following projects!!

WIP - the owl's wish - originally intended as a short story for just a friend and i, this project is quickly expanding into a full-on novel!! it's a haikyuu!! fanfic, but i've been told that the story is well enough removed from the show that it can work even if you don't that context. the only summary i can give without spoilers is that it's about an owl spirit with amnesia who finds a friend, and together they set off to get their wishes granted by the mysterious Lady of the Yellow Springs (but it's about more than that, i promise ;) ). it's set in ancient japan, and i referenced a few traditional fairytales when drawing up the outline, but otherwise it's a completely original folktale that can hopefully be accessible to anyone who picks it up!!

WIP - currently titled ouroboros paradox - this is a novel i am currently plotting, so honestly i'm not so sure how much i can say!! this is a fantasy novel coming from my intense passion for large creatures, horror elements, and norse mythology. as far as i know now, the story will follow two protagonists in the city of jörmungandr - one from the past and one in the present - as they try to navigate life, religion and ethics in a world where murdering living beings lengthens your lifespan. i plan on finishing my outline before this november, so i can try to hit 50K for nanowrimo this year!!

Omg I’m so happy you answered the Exo close ask because it is one of my FAVORITE topics!! This is ofc not to discredit your opinion at ALL I just like ranting about this. As someone who was a huge exo fan from like their predebut days to 2018 and then kinda left it behind- it has been crazy to see the dynamics change. ESPECIALLY following Yixing’s increased distance from the group ( I don’t think he’s in Exo but the dynamics definitely changed once he started to distance himself) in the early days I would definitely have said suho-Lay-Xiumin were the closest. Also Lay and Chen were well known for being absolute best friends, but that friendship actually seemed to fade after the others of China line left. Kai has gotten a lot closer to exo over the years imho. He was notorious predebut for not really getting along with exo outside of lay, which continuted sometime into debut. He’s always been interesting tho because out of everyone in exo he definitely gives the vibes that he’s not as dependent on the group and values his friendships outside of Exo. He is also the only member who Yixing has mentioned seeing in the past few years, and he even said on a reality show a few months ago that he speaks to Kai most frequently. Which is interesting considering they didn’t interact much during his last “active” years with the group. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun have DEFINITELY gotten closer over the years and it’s honestly been great to see. I would actually say Sehun and Kai have drifted apart over the years, and used to be closer back when they were lumped together all the time as the maknaes. Another notable pairing from the olden days is sehun and jongdae, which is interesting in today’s context. But I 100% agree that all of Exo has passed coworkers a while ago and that they are all friends!

Baekhyun being “Exo” is so true. He really has found a way to work himself into the hearts of everyone in that group though sheer persistence. CBX being incredibly close is so surprise. And neither is the former exo-m boys (jongdae and minseok) being close. I think all of your opinions are 100% correct I just wanted to talk about how the groups dynamics used to be back in the day lol since I was such a huge fan!

very interesting to hear the lay side of the story! the kai thing is also a surprise to me cause I always felt the only thing they had in common back in the day was being the dancers of the group. just the other day i was talking to a friend about how to me the dynamic between ot8 and lay is like. seeing an old friend from high school you still have a lot of love for but if you met them for coffee it would definitely be weird and you'd find you actually don't have much to talk about at all. lol

HAPPY PUBLIC DOMAIN DAY, HERE'S A NEW PD CHARACTER! AND YES IT IS FOR THAT CHALLENGE!

To give some context on her backstory, long story short, she was made by this megalomaniac creator (think Walt Disney but more 80s) to replace his dead wife, only to be rejected by him when he realized she could never be a replacement.

He's long dead now, and the scenario I'm thinking of has her delving deep into said creator's abandoned monster-overrun mega mall, which has sort of a "Synthwave-Soulsborne" vibe with a heavy emphasis on the fantasy side of science-fantasy.

She's more a homunculus or; well; a living doll than a robot, and her goal is to find some big mystery at the center to become "a real girl," the one he wanted her to be, tho it would become clear that's basically impossible.

Whether or not you get the good ending actually determines whether she learns to realize that she deserves to live as herself, as what she is.

As a game I'm imagining a mix of soulsborne and character action game dynamics, but with the big twist of there being big setpiece dungeons that're lightgun rail shooter segments, super elaborate ones too, shaped by the stuff that you do in the exploratory-y side of the game, where she literally turns into a disembodied self-operating gun to do the sort of cool spectacle-y setpieces that'd normally be QTEs in other games.

The idea was actually from trying to come up with a bunch of concepts derived from trying to design a character based on one of the core design ideas of The Guardian Legend's protag, and picking the one that felt the most thematically solid.

The idea being, a protagonist who's a pretty lady with the power to change forms for the sake of switching between two very different styles of gameplay. In this case Soulsborne/Character-Action-Game and House Of The Dead-type rail shooter. Most of the ideas followed from there!

And god, she kinda sparked my interest in doing more with this setting, because god "Synthwave Soulsborne" is a deeply evocative concept, given the air of melancholy around 80s nostalgia in this shitshow of a time period...

I know what I'm saying is controversial, but if you look at the "popular" ones, they usually have groups of friends, they're not alone growing on their own. I'm not saying that's wrong, but if you want a lot of followers or views, that's one of the way to grow. Have friends, praise and interact with many.

My year has been great so far and I'm finally getting rid of this cold. I hope you get the inspir/motivation you need! You are not the worst at anything, I assure you!

I am so humbled that you love my characters so. I have to say that I'm tempted to pay for portraits of Whiskers and Bulwark just because. And Ellis just needs someone to be their friend 💜 (they are nb btw!)

As for RO POVs... I am always open to them, as I love reading them, but I think for this I am going to keep it to the MC's POV so you are always in the driver's seat.

However... I did say I love reading them, didn't I? After the story is wrapped up I fully intend on making additional paid content with the RO's POVs as well as some pivotal scenes that happen before and during the course of the story but outside of the MC's view. It would be in the form of a new IF where you can upload your save file/put in your character details to make it more personalized.

The MC and Ellis should have at least one scene together before the Bacchanal, but in which chapter(s) I'm not 100% sure. I know what the scene will look like, but I still need to figure out when it should happen. Don't worry, Ellis fans!

i'd love to draw something for everyone but i don't have a lot of time/energy. i recently went to the doctor to talk about my blood tests for the first time and apparently i have a blood disorder that just makes me perpetually anemic and there's nothing i can do about it LOL i really want to post more often but everyday is just a battle with energy/time. i wish i could be like the artists who can churn out a lot of art every day. there's a lot i want to draw but i have to prioritize and sacrifice a majority of my ideas. i think that's why drawing can feel stressful instead of fun at times 😔 like is what im drawing right now really worth it? because while i'm drawing this, i'm giving up drawing that other thing 😣 i do like doing these occasional requests tho. i'm really thankful i have a platform to share my work and read your little funny tags 👀 thank you for following me, i hope to keep delivering art we both enjoy!

I'm going to post an art raffle in upcoming days. ^^

I'd like to say something tho, as a word of advice for beginning online artists. This is going to sound pessimistic, but honestly i think more people should be mentioning it, even if someone could've thought that i should keep this post happy go lucky. If you aren't interested then please just scroll further on.

I have this blog since 2017, it's been over 6 years.

There always have been a lot of "how to get over 1k follows in a year" tips online. Even prior Tiktok there were lot of them popularity chasing tips. I'm not interested in having Tiktok or doing videos rn but it's not the point here.

I have been posting my art every 4-12 days with some breaks for about 3 years, (which i wouldn't be able to do without me developing a specific style, queueing posts and keeping artworks for months to myself to do finishing touches, and ofc having enough time for it). I Regularly posted art, even lot of fanart for some more popular fandoms. It did Not take 1 year, but 6, and i don't even know how many of my followers are still active.

Thing is, these popularity tips might help but don't have to. And in most cases they won't lead you to have 1k follows in a single year, but instead might lead you to a burnout, frustation, or injury if you aren't careful.

I'm into a theory that to get popular online most artists or youtubers needs around 10 years, often with lot of work. Sometimes 20. And sometimes popularity just never happens. People who get popular quickly are a minority. Maybe 1 of 50 gets there fast, maybe 1 in 100. A lot depends on luck, (sometimes regardless idea, topic or skill, though obviously those can help a lot. I wouldn't have 1k follows now if i hadn't helped my luck after all :). Sometimes people gain popularity by deeply involving themself with a community, or even get popular by writing silly and serious posts, though it also Has issues. After all the more you write the more likeliness you finally write something stupid and someone might even remember it to haunt you. Things you need extra energy, personality, or behavioral instincts for when you might not really have it.

And it's not like starting at an earlier age might always help you. I've been posting my art online even as a minor though it's not really there anymore. And i'm actually glad it never kicked off. The amount of stories on artist teenagers getting into awful situations or causing awful situations to themself because of their popularity and young age still quite haunts me. Sometimes kids are lucky and that's good for them! Personally I know i wouldn't be that lucky tho.

I guess i just want to say that, as someone who grew up a lot with popular online people saying "you too can be popular and earn money online with a little of work!", that sometimes it's best to just chill, have fun, do things without worry in your own pace and maybe look up other choices for your career rather than those related to your online presence. Especially when it's been getting worse each year and social media + AI issues will always be a little unsure, and hell knows what else might happen.

I wish i could say that things are going to go quick for me from now on, but i know it's not that likely. They might go faster but ehh, I'll just do what i'll do. It's been over 6 years. A hell of a journey :)

Meanwhile i'm glad to be there and happy and i Thank you all for your presence!!

okay, on to the questions!

Some of my favorite books and or tv shows! Funnily now, I don't read original books as much as I used to when I was younger, tho I do enjoy visiting and rereading my favorite seriess from when I was a young teen! If I saw another part of these series now that I dont own I would 100% buy it haha. My main three-book series are Dork dairies ( I own the whole collection!) Cupcake Diaries, ( I own all the books that my bookstore has 🥲.) and Whatever After ( up till book 7.)

I never was into the more famous book series, like Harry Potter or the Percy Jackson and his Pals series, even with us having these in our home library- for some reason they never interested me

As for Tv shows!! now that is an easier one 😌 Ages 4-8 The earliest favorite tv show that I could remember is Postman Pat and Strawberry Shortcake and Friends ( the 2009 show.)

Ages 9-11 of course as I grew older I fell in love with Sofia the first, Doc Macstuffines, Jack and the Neverland Pirates, and Handy Manny, and Heidi too, and wild Krats with odd squad!

when I turned 12 I fell in love with Ronja the thief’s daughter and the mysterious cities of gold, alongside little women and the Robinson family

14-17 As a younger teen, I loved loved loooved Young Justice alongside of different classics and the shows I liked as a tween.

17- now My young adult years I have enjoyed different animes such as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, Ranking of Kings, Kaguya-sama love is war, Spy x family, and Attack on Titan. And different shows like When Calls the Heart and timeless! And because I babysit some kiddos I also enjoy watching kids shows 😭 I legit follow the story line bahaha

My favorite books as a kid were many many many short stories that I know that they can't be found online since they were probably written in my mother language and were on the older side, plus many of them here translated to my language and might have changed the titles, BUT, “ the sick bear” and the “the scared bear” and “ the pegion that wanted to drive a bus?” Yes these are some of the ones I recall finding them online and in different languages

OKAY, moving to where I would like to visit! That is a tough question 😂 I always like to imagine myself in different universes and myself in different shows and stuff- so no idea. BUT probably neverland in the Tinkerbell movies? Or maybe like, Resembool because it is so pretty. I love the soft happy villages 💛 and yes these places are good place for birthdays 😌

Writing has been a hobby, that my parents, nurtured in me, since I was such a talkative person, they used to encourage me to write! I loved drawing as a kid, and not as much as a tween/ early teens. I loved coloring more then. Same with writing actually, I got back to it in March 2020 and developed my own writing style! As for my other hobbies, I love to sew felt things and stitch, I also am a paper crafter, and I collect a crazy amount of papers haha. I like also building Legos and wooden 3D puzzles! I also like fixing books and currently I found an odd joy in cleaning?

Birthday cake! Alright so, Up till I was 14, I would ask for either my mom’s chocolate cake or, vallinia cake with green apples and caramel on the side, BUUUUUUTTTTT, when I turned 15 and up till now, I asked for a huge cookie for my cake haha, It all started when my mom and I went to a cookie shop and we saw these huge cookies and she jokingly said, “ what do you think? Your next birthday cake.” I was like, “ bet.”

And yea! These are it hehe, I would love to share more about myself!

I am the firstborn in my family, I have younger siblings! I share a room with my sisters, and my favorite colors are pink and peach, but I do like all of the colors heh, I used to wear glasses and I took them off this January! Currently fighting some Hyperthyroidism, I never had the chance to date yet, and I graduated the third on my class, ( looking at my chemistry teacher 😒)
