Solid Bronze Harkonnen Ram Artisan Keycap with RGB shine through eyes.
A homage to Dune II and Dune 2000 games from legendary Westwood studio.
Dune II was a precursor for Real-Time Strategy games.
For many, those games were the first contact with the Dune Universe and they still have a special place in our hearts.
House Harkonnen, also known as the Family Harkonnen, was a Great House of the Landsraad, with their capital on the heavily industrialized Giedi Prime. The Harkonnens were the historical enemies of House Atreides of Caladan, with whom they maintained an ancient feud since the Battle of Corrin. They also came to be recognized for their underhanded and sinister political tactics, fueled by ambition, malevolence, hatred, and brutality.
⚜️Great for collectors: can be passed down from generation to generation.
Fool's errand~ Art I drew as a decal for a split mechanical keyboard I'm planning on building then theming it after the webcomic Lackadaisy.
I'm really obsessed with making things smaller. next one on the chopping block is my keyboard. I already have a 70% keyboard, but that's still too big for me. I'm looking at the Corne keyboard. a small 36/42 key keyboard.
I'm theming it lackadaisy with Rocky and Mitzi art that I made adorning both of the splits. I'm planning to do a method where you put a thin layer of laser printer toner (which basically is just very fine black plastic powder) on top of the keyboard key, then slightly melt and bond the design with a laser engraver.
Still choosing and scouring out the components. but really looking forward to etching the design.
27 August 2023 I'm back for my annual post! I love Tumblr, but hate updating consistently. Today I'm showing off my academic notebook. I just keep track of notes, thoughts, etc. on my current personal studies (right now, my main focus is on modern Korean history). This is also "traveler's notebook" style, so I keep a couple of thinner books (one for Korean language studies and another for the Korean popular culture class that I'm taking). Happy to answer any questions about my setup or add some more photos. :)
Some photos of my new custom mechanical keyboard I took at my local botanical gardens' Japanese section (cause my keeb has a bit of a Japanese theme, plus it's a more interesting background than a desk :3)
