I was thinking.... Do you remember the scene from 3A where Stiles, Allison and Scott do the ritual of changing places with their parents?
I can't help but think, why was Stiles the recipient of the nogitsune?
I mean, why wasn't it Scott or Allison?
((Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a few months since I watched 3A/3B)) okay, I can't stop thinking about the nogitsune giving those riddles and messages to Stiles about;
"When a door is not a door? "When it's ajar".
I'm going to try to explain this, when Stiles/Allsn/scott did the ritual, they "opened doors" and made their hearts darken.... That's why throughout the beginning of 3B we see all those scenes of Allison, Scott and Stiles having nightmares, and strange visions. So far it's understandable, But if you notice, you will see that Stiles is the only one who establishes connections with the doors from the beginning.
But there are no such references with Scott or Allison. So, this is where my theory comes in and I'm going to start by saying that everything is related to the ritual they did.
Let's remember that the person who would bring back Stiles/Allison/Scott were people important to them and with whom they had a strong/solid connection.
Allison— Isaac
Scott—Deaton
Stiles—Lydia
(If you ask me they were basically trying to give a message about anchors there.)
We all know that Scott and Deaton are basically a father-son relationship, and it's very likely that the closeness Scott has with Deaton is more genuine and stronger than the one he has with Rafael. So that anchor is very good. Because the connection between them is *MUTUALLY* strong.
Allison and Isaac? I don't have to explain that the two of them like each other, like IN LOVE. The attraction between them is 100% genuine. And strong. There is no doubt about their connection.
But Stiles and Lydia? They're friends, and they're not even friends as in best friends yet. This is where I think something went wrong, because Lydia didn't even think about being Stiles' anchor, she was going straight to being Allison's anchor.
And we had the wonderful (sarcasm) intervention of Deaton, instructing Lydia to go help Stiles.
There was clearly no other option (I know) because it's not like Derek would have been there, which I have no doubt would have made a difference.
The issue here is that Lydia did indeed bring Stiles back, but I think of the three of them (stls/Allsn/sctt), the connection between them (Lydia & Stiles) was the weakest.Which caused the door that Stiles opened to not close properly. That left the door ajar.
You can take this however you want, but personally this shows me that the connection between Stiles and Lydia was simply never that strong whether one-sided or bilateral.
On the other hand, Stiles is LITERALLY Derek's anchor, and is 100% Derek's strongest connection. And whatever Stiles felt about Derek during 3A, I think it was something like friendship (And he has an obvious crush on Derek, he's a teenager, who wouldn't have a crush on Derek?) ( There is also that in fact Stiles does feel a connection with Derek, and the Hale pack for some strange reason knows it) and if Lydia could bring Stiles back, being that Stiles is NOT her anchor, I think Derek managed to get Stiles to come back without leaving the door ajar.
Whatever, I have no doubt that if Derek had been in that scene, the obvious choice to bring Stiles back would have been him.

Day 3: Love Languages
Neal/Bae: Physical Touch
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neal/Bae's love language is the easiest to parse out in canon because it's prevalent throughout. Ever since Bae was a baby, physical touch was how Rumple expressed his love to him. In every flashback scene with Rumple and Bae, Rumple has a hand on Bae, silently supporting and protecting him.
And the show writers use this nonverbal interaction to parallel Bae and Rumple's relationship as it becomes more strained. When Rumple becomes the Dark One, his touch becomes more possessive. This continues until Bae starts rejecting Rumple's touch (as he rejects the Dark One) when Rumple tries to reach out to him in "Nasty Habits" and "Manhattan". In both "The Return" and "Manhattan", Rumple's abandonment of Bae is described as Rumple letting go of Bae's hand- a very physical action. That's why the moment when Bae grabbed Rumple's hand in "The Miller's Daughter" is so impactful- because it is the first time that Bae wholeheartedly accepts his father's touch and affection in centuries, even if he is still angry. As season 3A progresses, Bae physically distances himself from his father in Neverland when he finds out about the prophecy and feels like he can't trust him in "Nasty Habits". However, once Bae forgives his father in "Save Henry", he enthusiastically hugs him. In season 3B, Bae and Rumple literally share a body due to Rumple's love for Bae- their physical closeness once again symbolizing their repaired relationship. When Bae dies in "Quiet Minds", his hand falls out of Rumple's, representing their permanent separation. Bae no longer needs Rumple's physical touch and affection because Bae's no longer there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Using touch to portray affection and genuine care is a theme for Bae throughout his life. In "Second Star to the Right", Bae uses physical touch to comfort Wendy. And later in "Tallahassee", Bae is more physically affectionate with Emma the more that time passes and the closer that they become. Even as early as their first "date" in "There's No Place Like Home", Bae plays with Emma's glove when he's being vulnerable to feel closer to her physically without crossing her boundaries and touching her.
Bae's need for physical affection in "Tallahassee" (especially after being touch starved in Neverland for centuries) is complemented by Emma reciprocating that physical affection despite not being a touchy person. Emma starts out being standoffish in the beginning of "Tallahassee" and "There's No Place Like Home", drawing into herself and avoiding any physical touch. However, as time passes, she gets more comfortable with being physically affectionate and even initiates it, especially when Bae is upset. One canon example is when Emma grounds Bae with physical touch when Bae is agitated about the wanted poster. When Bae starts arguing against Emma going for the watches, she swings her arm around him which seems to calm him down to the idea more.
I headcanon that Emma and Bae did a lot of hand-holding and non-verbal communication throughout their relationship. I think that they had signals to each other to make sure the other person is alright (which would have helped during heists as well) to complement Emma's innate ability to read Bae. I think that Emma realized early on that the best way to comfort Bae after nightmares was physical touch (hugs, gentle kisses). I can also see Emma sidling up to Bae whenever she sensed that something was bothering him and just quietly grabbing his hand and lacing her fingers in between his to remind Bae that he's not alone and make him relax almost instantly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just like physical touch is used to display the progress in Bae and Rumple's relationship, it is also used to show the progress in Bae and Emma's relationship when they reunite.
Bae has a tendency to fidget with his scarf, especially when he is vulnerable around Emma, which I think is a self-soothing technique. He longs for her physical touch, but too much has happened between them for him to reach out to her, so he physically touches his scarf to comfort himself. It isn't until the penultimate episode of season 2 after he breaks up with Tamara that he finally reaches out to Emma, hugging her when she's about to fall through the portal. This continues in season 3A when he hugs her after getting out of the cage in "Ariel" and stays beside her to support her throughout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Emma, on the other hand, tries to be standoffish around Bae but fails miserably- just like how she tries to deny her love for Bae but fails. Since they reunite, Emma is always pictured by Bae's side (which is seen in many stills from season 2B and 3A). Not to mention that other than Henry, Emma initiates physical contact (even if it is just casual) with Bae more than anyone else in canon in the earlier seasons. In season 2B, she physically pushes him in "The Miller's Daughter" when he stops to stare at the magical chalk barrier, and she physically grabs him to stop him from going after Henry when Henry confronts Regina in "Welcome to Storybrooke". In season 3A, Emma hugs Bae in Neverland after they get him out of the cage in "Ariel", Emma sidles next to Bae to hug him after his father dies (which encourages Henry to do the same) in "Going Home", and Emma's the one who initiates the hug with Bae at the town line when they are about to be separated yet again. When Bae dies in "Quiet Minds", Emma pulls Bae into her arms and lets Bae die being physically comforted by her- being loved. And lastly, when Emma reunites with Bae briefly in the underworld in "Souls of the Departed", Emma caresses Bae's face, showing that she still loves him even though he is dead.
This behavior especially stuck out to me because in the earlier seasons, the other person usually has to initiate physical contact for Emma to return it. But with Bae, she's a lot more liberal and initiative with physical touch, even when she "hates" him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, to cement how Bae associates physical touch with love and affection, Bae is very physically affectionate with Henry. From their first meeting, Bae mimics Henry's body language and leans in close to him when talking, showing his love and interest through nonverbal communication. As they get closer, Bae is always touching Henry- ruffling his hair, patting his shoulder, carrying him, hugging him, wrestling with him in the background of "The New Neverland", etc. And Henry returns it readily, appreciating physical affection just like his father does (though probably not as desperately as Bae seems to crave it). The blatant physical affection between Henry and Bae is what makes their relationship seem so close and loving, even if they had a limited time together.

Sooo... I don't think this is a canon thing but I have never seen the 2nd half of season 6 and it's well known by now that I snoozed through season 5, but:
Is it ever stated at any point that werewolves without a pack go feral? I know Argents target omega werewolves because they're cowards and it's easier to kill a lone wolf, but Derek is NOT in a pack from season 3b and onwards and he is as in control as he is in seasons 1 and 2.
Peter also is not in a pack after Derek loses his Alpha powers (assuming he was in Derek's to begin with, but those two are weird). Werewolves who lose control lack anchors to humanity, not packs. This is why when Peter came back to life (anchored literally by Derek), he was more stable.
Where did this idea of feral wolves come from, because I don't remember it all in the show?
i think the idea of feral omegas in teen wolf is largely a fandom creation.
being omega is a status just like being an alpha or beta. they have less power because they don't have a pack. in universe i fully believe that the idea that omegas become feral is propaganda from hunters to justify killing them.
we also know packs aren't just about power either (at least for the reasonable and sane alphas) as they also provide safety in numbers.
just look at what gerard says in the episode where the concept of omegas is introduced -- titled omega -- gerard says this shit:
"the lone wolf! possibly kicked out of his own pack, or the survivor of a pack that was hunted down, maybe even murdered... and possibly alone by his own choice... certainly not a wise choice... because, as a am about to demonstrate... an omega rarely survives on his own.
derek has been an omega and he's perfectly fine. it's why he was able to evolve. he collected statuses like he was playing bingo.
ethan and aiden were omegas in their original pack and while they tell scott, stiles and & co. that they were essentially "the bitches" of that pack they also indicate that their alpha was terrible and duecalion saved them from that.
being an omega is dangerous not because it makes a werewolf feral it's because they are alone.

Teen Wolf is a werewolf soap opera horror that gradually changes into a gritty horror thriller. And I’d like to explore that in terms of its campiness.
For me, the campiness is determined by the personality of the villain. I’m going to focus on their theoretical willingness to put on the most flamboyant outfits, but that’s merely an illustration of their vibes.
Season 1 has Peter and Kate, who, if we’re being honest, would both go on stage wearing just the most glitter, feathers, and wig to have an epic lip syncing battle. There would be surprise outfit reveals and at least one would do a split. It would go down in history. 10/10 perfection
Season 2 has Matt and Gerard. Matt would only reluctantly put on an outfit, and it’d be something spandex to emulate the superhero comics he reads. Meanwhile Gerard would be eating up the frenzy that Kate and Peter left behind. His outfit would be more grand than both of them combined. He only pretends he’s retired while being the Final Boss of Drag Race. 9/10 some hesitation to cheer for an incel but grandpa can work those high heels
Season 3A has Jennifer and Deucalion. Jennifer is gothic rock opera chic. She’ll flip her hair while singing soprano in an obsidian gown. And Deucalion? He’s gone mad from losing to Gerard at Drag Race, and now he’s back for a rematch, this time with a BDSM-kink themed outfit to display he’s gone darkside. 8/10 trying a little hard but I can get behind it
Season 3B is the Nogitsune. It’s here when the show begins to get more serious, which I think is the wrong lesson the writing room took from its popularity. The Nogitsune has multiple outfit changes. It is kabuki theater. It is a troll dressed as Stiles while wearing the most bombastic display of practical special effects. There’s a smoke machine running underneath the robe that lights up with each step while a soundtrack plays. 100/10 Megamind would be proud
Season 4 is a mixed bag. It promises a rematch of Peter and Kate, but it doesn’t do either of them justice. Instead they’re pushed to the sideline in favor of a more traditional thriller Benefactor arc. The one highlight is the episode 4x07, Weaponized, which has The Chemist bringing back the pizazz (highly recommended; the episode is practically a one shot with everything you love from the early seasons). 5/10 averages to meh
Seasons 5-6 are entirely dedicated to seriousness.
Season 5A is Theo and the Dread Doctors. Theo is like if you took Matt and then squeezed out any joy. He’d refuse to dress up because he’d feel it’s beneath him. Meanwhile the Dread Doctors, who are already in full Steampunk attire, are doing nothing with it. As stiff as mannequins. All business, no play. They’re just here to get the job done and leave. 3/10 but has the potential
In season 5B we get Valack and the Beast, aka Sebastien. Valack, whose power is to disguise himself as other people, is the type to hate costumes. He’s going to wear an accurate reproduction of a medical professional, and he’s going to be annoying about it. Sebastien tries to be camp but it comes off like a parent incorrectly using lingo to try to be hip around their child. No one wants to see it. 1/10 please stop
Season 6A has… a literal Nazi. And the Ghost Riders, who only know how to walk a cat walk. They’d make great supermodels if their job wasn’t to make people forget they exist. 0/10 I want my money back
Season 6B is just straight up trying to be an allegory for modern day political discourse. There’s also the Anuk-Ite, a creepy-pasta knock-off of the greatest hits. You can’t even look at it without being turned to stone. -100/10 I’d rather fight a muskrat on twatter
Ultimately, my point is you lose much of the dramatic flair after season 3B. For many people, such as myself, it’s a disservice to why I started the show. But for other people it’s a good turn since they prefer the gritty realness. It ends up being one of the many reasons for the split in fandom over the direction of the show. And I can bet money that the movie is going to suck all the glamor out of the Nogitsune in favor of the same sort of straight-laced horror the later seasons embodied. Which is to say some people will love it, and it’s not going to be me or Megamind.

WHAT YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS SAYS ABOUT YOU: YTTD EDITION
PART 1) THE PARTICIPANTS
SARA CHIDOUIN:
You can’t stop praising her about how amazing of a protagonist she is compared to other protags in similar games such as danganronpa. You would and WILL fight anyone that says anything bad about your homegirl an you DEFINITELY need therapy
JOE TAZUNA:
You have the terrible habit of falling immediately in love with the best friend archetype that we met in the beginning who’s clearly gonna die. When they die you keep telling yourself you won’t be fooled again and then you do. Anyway you are in denial
KEIJI SHINOGI:
You keep justifying you love for him by using the “he’s a complex character, he’s deep and shit” but that’s just an excuse to not say “i want him to carnally fuck me and treat my little bitch with his huge arms and tits”. Whatever sexuality you were before, his deep look probably turned you gay. Anyhow you are horny as fuck and you definitely need therapy, you little whor-
REKO YABUSAME:
Either you are the the most gay motherfucker on the planet or you’re veeeeeeeeeeery straight.  you’re favorite ship is naoreko. NEVERTHELESS you want her to step on you.
Q-TARO BURGERBERG:
there is exactly two type of q-taro fans, The meme lord or the 20 page Reddit post defending his character from any criticism. We allllll know which ever type of fan you are, you cried like a baby in his final moments.
 KAZUMI MISHIMA:
You definitely made every possible outcome in ytts, an replayed it multiple times. You probably follow  “ mishima-in-places-he-shouldnt-be” and is still sad that this gentle loving dude had to die first why it is. always. the. cool. dudes. who. dies. first., WHY, WHY NANKIDAI ?
KANNA KIZUCHI:
You are awesome, smart, and just the perfect person to be around, you’re aura smells pure awesomeness, no, NO i am not biased.at.all it’s not like  she’s my profile picture.
In all seriousness, you probably crave any green bling content and also loves shin too but kanna passion and pure kindness made you make the choice to kill shin. It seemed to difficult to vote for a kid so you voted shin. You relate to kanna struggles And ADORES her character development in 3b. Also you definitely need many therapy session (not projecting at all) .
NAO EGOKORO:
If being a joe fan is sadness, a greenbling fan depression, well being a nao fan is literal despair and anger with anguish. Bro what the fuck did she do to have such an horrible end like that, her entire experience in the death game was  a pure nightmare. Homegirl did nothing wrong, she shouldn’t literally even be here dude😭😭. You have only one consolation is that now she’s in heaven with her girlfriend, also obviously you ship naoreko
GIN IBUSHI:
You are right in fact you are 99.99 percent of the fandom. And i know that if one day you see anyone put gin below S tier or say anything relatively negative about him, you WILL find them, you WILL track them , and you’re gonna BOIL THEM ALIVE. And i will probably cheer you so go on, pop off, girlboss or mansplain bestie !
KAI SATOU:
You are mesmerized by his beautiful aura and luscious long mane. Every time the characters talk about him you feel so much happiness that his sacrifice was in the end really worth it, but still you cry that the cutest malewife had to go first.
ALICE YABUSAME:
His atrocious hair made you burn your eyes, his cringe fail personality made you laugh but his death destroyed you entirely. In the end you fell for this transmasc king. If you played logic rote you probably died a second time lol.
S H I N  T S U K I M I:
Shin tsukimi, oh, Shin Tsukimi the character of all time. So from what i understand he’s your favorite character. Were you the weird kid in your class when you were in high school or that one queer kid that tried to hide your identity but everyone knew just by a single look? Just by looking at you i can see a lot of self loathing and unaddressed personal issues that you try hiding under a rug instead of actually addressing them. Do you take time to eat, to drink, don’t forget to take a break from negativity when you are at your lowest, okay ? Diagnosing you is pretty hard you probably have a thousand problems but at least, i hope, not as much as this little dumbass.                                           There is two type of shin fans:
-the one who want to punch him, shove him into a locker and bully him
-the one who want to give him a warm hug, a nice soup and a good night of sleep.                                                                                                                    In both cases, you are exactly like him and projecting so hard onto him. Also you are supeeeeeer gay like extra gay. Like your aura smells GAY you know. No cis het allo kinnie of shins exist actually, it’s as possible as dividing 0 by 0.
So conclusion go to therapy
KUGIE KIZUCHI:
Ao3 is your god, your lord and everything that you need to live. Every time ao3 get down you die inside. You crave any content of her and wish that we can know more in the future about her (i do too) and you probably feel in love with her trough fanfic.
MEGUMI SASAHARA:
You guys exists? Well you like evil boss woman, i guess.
This shit full of errors and mistakes also this is a joke don’t get offended, remember as a greenbling fan i am probably the least respected type of yttd fan, well above the keiji simps you guys are wild.

Rewatching Teen Wolf all over again because it’s my comfort show.
The last time I rewatched I recognized how JD took mythology and pretty much shat on it. It appears he thinks the fans are stupid.
And it’s not my first time at rewatching (as again my comfort show), because I noticed on a previous occasion that most of the writing had discrepancies. Like was the sherif there or not when his wife died? And how old really is Derek? First he was only 19. Then Derek was made older because guessing since the fans liked the scenes between Hoechlin and O’Brien. Like JD really thought the fans would forget his age was changed?
Also where does Stiles get his nickname from maternal or paternal grandfather? Discrepancies from the first season episode 5 to the season where he was taken by the ghost riders.
In season 2 when Gerard says to Allison she’s almost eighteen but in season 1 she turns 18. wtf!
In season 3 Lydia alludes to Stiles not being human when she says to leave the figuring out to someone human, when they didn’t know who was doing the sacrificing.
Now I’m focusing on how literally JD shat on Derick Hale. Repeatedly. It wasn’t bad enough this character was abused as a child, but then his entire family was brutally murdered. Then he’s left alone and just more crap keeps happening to him. Of course the first thing he does is try to get a pack. He can’t be an omega.
He’s also dealing with trauma of being in shame, the his family is murdered, which adds even more shame and more trauma because he feels responsible for the deaths Derek’s also only a few years older than Scott, Stiles and the rest. He’s not going to be amazing at being an alpha initially. He’s a traumatized older teen or young adult. He didn’t want to be an Alpha. Nor was he ever given a proper chance. He didn’t have guidance. Wtf Deaton. You couldn’t help him?
Beginning of season 3 when they had to do the ice bath sub consciousness thing with Isaac why did it take two wives to hold Isaac down. Poor Isaac whose already been through to much had to have claws in his neck and then practically drowning. But only took one person to hold down Scott, Alison and Stiles. Did Isaac have that darkness around him also?
Then in season 3B they mentioned that Stiles plays chess. But in season 1 they say only the Sheridan plays. Do JD and his writers really think people do not pay attention? If they care about ratings then care about the loyalty and intelligence of fans. But instead they just baited us and made us seem insane.
Season 4 episode 6, when stiles and Lydia are trying to see Meredith, Parrish tells Bronsky that he was caught blowing a breathalyzer test in Canaan. Later on we learn Canaan has existed in decades. JD thinks we’re fools.
But Derek was also too young to have had to find a new pack, when his family was brutally murdered. Perhaps that’s why he was grumpy. He was desperate.
A few months ago he had to end his girlfriends life as she was brutally attacked. Giving power to the nemeton. Which then gave power to Julia/jennifer/darach. Come on now.
Then flipping Kate somehow makes him a kid again and he has to deal with losing his powers.
Pack means everything to wolves. He again couldn’t be an omega. And to have to do it semi alone and then truly alone. Then trying to help a bitten werewolf understand what being a wolf means.
Plus he also has to live in the place his family was killed.
Then his damn groomer returns.
Then his little sister comes back and he chooses to make himself a punching bag for her and Boyd. He is always truly sacrificing himself.
Then his asshole uncle can’t remember if he’s good or bad but keeps abusing him! Peter was also never much of a help when Derek were youngsters.
Then a flipping dark Druid abuses him too. Like leave Derek the fuck alone. Don’t even get me started on the garbage Teen Wolf movie. That was utter and absolute garbage.

Headcanon: Harry’s partner having curly hair
Masterlist
Author’s Note: WE. NEED. MORE. CURLY. HAIR. REPRESENTATION. as someone with 3a-3b curly hair, here are some headcanons. This is dedicated to all you curly headed cuties 😤
Pronouns Used: gender neutral! they/them
POV: Third Person.
Warnings: f-word, non-gendered use of “honey”
Additional Information: Harry is in italics. Reader is in bold.
divider is made by @firefly-graphics!
Tumblr media
His partner finally moving in with him and they take up the whole middle shelf in the linen closet with their hair products. “I feel like I’ve walked into a hair salon” “Sometimes it feels like I could open my own store with how many hair products I’ve accumulated.”
His s/o being a little nervous to wear their bonnet or silk scarf in front of him for the first time. “Please don’t say anything.” “Uhhh okay?” *s/o walks out of the bathroom and into the bedroom* “Stop. You look absolutely adorable. Do I get one, too?”
“Why do you have so many different bottles of conditioner?” “That’s regular conditioner and that’s leave-in conditioner” “There’s a difference??”
Harry buying his partner a set of 100% silk pillow cases as a surprise gift because he knows they’ve been saving their money to upgrade their satin ones.
“I’m only now just using fancy pillowcases? Where have you been all my life?” “Are you talking to me or the pillow case?” “… both?”
*s/o comes back to their apartment fuming* “Today someone told me that my hair would look ‘less messy’ if I brushed it out and it really pissed me off.” “Oh honey, I’m sorry. Want me to sue them for idiocy?” “I don’t think that’s a thing, but I appreciate the support.”
A red carpet interviewer makes the casual comment of “your hair looks a bit curlier than normal, new hair routine?” And him answering with “you can thank my partner for that one, they’ve introduced me to the world of hair care and products.”
“What the fuck is this thing? It looks like some sort of sci-fi weapon.” “That’s literally a hair dryer with a diffuser on it.” “A what?” “Gosh, sometimes I feel like you’re a lost cause. It’s an attachment that reduces frizz and doesn’t ruin your natural curl pattern.” “I still think it’s a movie prop.”
I feel like if traveling takes him away from his s/o for a long time and he begins to miss them, he might go and buy/order their favorite hair product and use it on his hair because it smells like them 🥺🥲
His partner was never one for the spotlight, but once Harry’s fans began to ask him about which products he used, his partner made a public IG account dedicated to curly/wavy hair maintenance. As well as how to take care of your hair without needing expensive products.
They probably ended up as an accidental hair influencer because of it.

(contd) Like the twins want in on Scott's pack and Derek literally asks them if they'd be willing to die for him because to Derek anything less is just not gonna cut it.
Then the twins want to run bc of the Nogitsune and Derek has his whole speech about what an amazing leader Scott is.
Derek and Scott's heart to heart at the hospital has Derek going all "yeah you have the same place as protector of this town as my late mother and family and everybody needs you and you have taught me so much."
Tumblr media
It always mystifies me when I read certain people's criticism of Teen Wolf: The Movie. These criticisms fall into three main categories.
Too much attention is paid to Scott and Allison's relationship.
How can you bring the nogitsune back without bringing back Stiles?
Derek's death and its aftermath was pointless and unfounded.
Rebuttals of the first two criticisms deserve their own metas, but I'll give them a brief summary. If you carefully watched the first three seasons, Scott and Allison's relationship was the foundation of the show, not in terms of consuming romance, but in terms of how it helped Scott and Allison define who they are in the face of exterior forces, which is a key part of growing up. While Stiles was the focus of the action in 3B, the story was still mostly about Scott's maturing as a leader by giving him a Kobayashi Maru: a no-win scenario pitting his desire to protect others against his love for his best friend. But it is the third criticism that I'll address in this post.
Derek's death at the end of the movie is a tragedy. This can't be stressed enough, but it is also a culmination to his entire character arc. The end of Season 3A saw him renounce the fear of loss and desire for power that almost doomed him that season, made him an antagonist in Season 1 and a villain in Season 2. His departure at the end of Lunar Ellipse (3x12) symbolizes both that renunciation but also indicates his arc for 3B: what will he become?
He starts with a journey to the past. "But that's not the only reason I left. I needed to talk to my mother." He finds Talia's claws, coerces Peter into using them, and then emerges with a new vision of himself. In Riddled (3x18), he acknowledges the passing of the alpha mantle to Scott (and I would argue begins to act as Scott's beta) with "This town needs someone to protect it, someone like you." but it's very important to note that while he is inspired by Scott, he does not emulate Scott. Following another person doesn't require the obliteration of self. Derek works with Chris Argent and he doesn't take killing Stiles off the table the way Scott does. He physically attacks him. He doesn't rush to Oak Creek, because he can be more helpful rescuing the twins from what will turn out to be Kate.
We see that in the way he talks about Scott throughout the season. It may look like he wants to join the Scott McCall Fan Club, but he rejects that, even in his big speech in The Divine Move (3x24). This is the key line: "You've had it wrong the whole time. You don't fight for a leader. You fight for a leader's cause." He's going to work with Scott, protect what Scott decides needs protection, and even be Scott's beta, but he's going to be his own person while doing so. He learned this from Scott who was willing to work with him in the first three season but who wasn't willing to simply do as he's told. He learned this, in a negative way, from Peter who manipulated him repeatedly, in Visionary's flashback (3x08), in Wolf's Bane (1x09), in Battlefield (2x11), in Alpha Pact (3x11).
Unlike Scott, who chooses to place the most value on life (but not above everything), Derek's more than willing to kill victims like Stiles in order to protect the town, as he tried in De-Void (3x22), but unlike his attempts to kill Lydia in Season 2, he's not doing it out of fear. In addition, as he says to the twins, he also believes he should be willing to die to protect what he cares about as well as kill. This manifests in his willingness to die in Season 4, and that willingness allows him to evolve. However, it's a reaction to what Kate did to him, not a decision to die in order to achieve an end. In the movie, however, it is an active choice. The nogitsune will never stop coming for his family, his alpha, his friends, and he makes the decision to sacrifice his life in order to prevent that. He doesn't do out of a reaction to the horrific memories of the Hale Fire; he's does it because he values family and pack; that's virtue. He's not doing because he's mindlessly following Scott or being manipulated by Peter, but out of own conviction that it is the right thing to do, which is strength of character. He faces fire, the same terror that destroyed his first family, without fear, which is force of will. He didn't mimic Scott's path to a new set of red eyes; he forged his own.
As tragic as it was, how could it be anything but satisfying?

Random Once thought
I saw a comment on Reddit about how Emma falling for Hook doesn't make sense because she was grossed out by him and then suddenly stopped. I recognize that this is someone's own opinion but I just have thoughts about this person's thoughts. Everyone has their own opinions, this is just mine.
Like it is true, although I wouldn’t say grossed out by Killian. In the beginning, there definitely is a level of like annoyance from Emma because he is this flirty, cocky guy, and she does not want to deal with him. I think especially after she leaves him on the beanstalk. I also think some of her aloofness with him comes from the fact that he did read her immediately, and that made her uncomfortable that someone could see through her.
However, those feelings do dissipate into something else, which I think is highlighted in seasons 3a and 3b. Like 3a is very important for their relationship because it's where Emma initially begins to think of him as something more. Before that, he was a villain and worked with Cora, but now he’s helping her rescue her son, and she starts to see the more “real” Killain, not just Captain Hook. So yes, she does ”suddenly stop being grossed out by him” because she gets to know him. This then culminates in 3b, where his intentions to win Emma's heart have already been declared, but he isn’t actively pursuing her. He is there for her but stands aside for the sake of Henry. It’s obvious he has feelings and wants Emma, but like he says, he is in it for the long haul. And that allows their relationship to develop. Then you get the end of 3b and the captain swan movie. Literally, it’s two episodes of those two trusting and leaning on each other in order to get back to the present.
So by then, looking back, yes, Emma is slightly annoyed and “grossed out” by Killian in the beginning, but that's because she doesn’t know him, so when she stops it's because their relationship has grown into one of trust and respect, which ends with the kiss in 3x22 and the beginning of their relationship in season 4.

How to learn how to code (from someone who knows how to code):
Step 1. Open source code file
Step 2. Learn how git works
Step 2a. Bang your skull against your table learning how git works
Step 2b. Keep repeating step 2a until you finally figure it out
Step 3. Pick an editor
Step 3a. Spend way too long configuring the editor
Step 3b. Somehow break everything
Step 3c. Fix it looking through stackoverflow and random ass websites, and the documentation (you probably will forget this)
Step 3d. Go back to step 3a and keep doing this for the rest of time
Step 4. Begin coding
Step 4a. Bang your skull against your desk trying to figure out how to do the most basic things or fixing bugs that don't even make any sense
Step 4b. Go to stackoverflow again
Step 4c. Go back to step 4a and keep doing that for the rest of time
Step 5. After literal hours, blood, and several bruises, you've completed your program, compile it
Step 6. Bang your skull against your desk as you see compiler errors flood the output
Step 7. Fix completely ignore the the errors and warnings and keep going until it spits out a binary
Step 8. Run the program
Step 9. It crashes
Step 10. Bang your skull against your desk until you figure out what went wrong, throw everything away, and go back to step 4
Step 11. Finally get it working with code that looks like it came from the dump

Amphibia's Needed 4 seasons
When looking over Amphibia as a whole, it's easy to blame Disney for screwing over the show's quality in the third season, after getting pissed over true colors.
And there certainly is a lot to blame them for, as there is no doubt that they were responsible for the creators not being able to commit to exploring all the ideas they set up in the second season finale, and the tonal shift it promised.
However, there is also one other, massive problem with Amphibia that is not actually Disney's fault, instead being a result of how Amphibia was planned out from the start.
Namely that from day one(Literally, it was pitched this way) Amphibia was planned to be a 3 season long show.
In hindsight, this was actually terrible idea, as the overall structure of the series can tell you.
Tumblr media
Season 1 had a very clear progression, with Anne and Sasha being stuck in the Valley and having to deal with it, befriending new people and making mistakes and growing from them.
Tumblr media
Season 2 began in the aftermath of the Season 1 finale, and had the cast go on a journey, which ultimately led to the 3 girls being reunited, their various goals colliding, and the machinations of our villains coming to fruition, and everything all exploding in a glorious finale.
Both these seasons are clear stories, with a beginning and an end, and the steps in between given a full seasons worth of episodes to explore them in full.
But then we get into season 3.
Tumblr media
Season 3 is 2 completely different stories, with each half having their own distinct beginning and ending, with their respective plots being very different from the other.
The first half deals with Anne and the Plantars on Earth, while the second half is all about the cast on Amphibia.
And the thing is, both of these two halfs beginnings and endings work. They're not perfect, but fundamentally this is how the story should be told.
The problem comes in between the biginnings and the endings of these respective stories.
Because neither half had even close to enough episodes to make their respective tales work out, even if Disney hadn't meddled all throughout season 3.
Season 3A is a slow affair, that takes it's time, and isn't close to covering Anne's emotional journey by the time it ends, something it wouldn't have been able to do in full, even if disney hadn't censored the creators plans.
Frankly speaking, season 3A plays like the creators didn't quite realize they only had so many episodes to tell their story with, and so took their time with stuff that by any metric should have been cut in favor of other stuff given their episode limitations.
And you can tell that it was only in the second half that they had suddenly realised, holy shit! We have SO MUCH we gotta do!
Commander Anne is rushed beyond belief, speed running Anne and Sasha's reunion, and only held together by the sheer strength of the bond between these two girls in spite of the sheer amount of stuff that has to be done in that entire episode really should have had 2-4 episodes all on their own.
But they couldnt do that. Because they only had half a season to tell the story of the return to Amphibia.
The rest of 3B is nowhere near as rushed as Commander Anne, but it is rushed, and it speeds along way too fast towards its finale, when the show desperately needed some time to breathe and relax. It even ended up cutting one fully planned and important episode(Sasha's origin story) along the way to the finale.
While Disney screwed over Amphibia, Amphibia NEEDED to split season 3 into two full seasons for the show to truly hit it's full potential.
And that was a mistake on the part of it's creator, who clearly made a huge blunder when planning this story out. Amphibia ISN'T a three part story. It's a 4 part story, where part 3 and 4 got smushed together to the detriment of the product.

Something's gonna happen anyway..
I decided to make this post to say for the thousandth time, all manifestation is inevitable. something is gonna happen either way- and it's gonna either be what you desire or what you don't. fortunately for us - we got to choose what's gonna happen. you choose what you want and simply persist in that. if your mind begins to tell you anything which contradicts that- then you simply flip those thoughts.
Let's say you decide you want to have type 3b hair but had 2a your entire life. ok, either you're going to manifest having 3b hair or 2a hair. which did you choose to persist in having ? that's how simple it is. your desires are literally a choice away.
Overconsumption leads to overcomplicating and that's why a lot of you think your manifestations won't happen unless x y z . I simply advocate for people choosing to persist in what they desire- however you decide to persist ( whether that affirming, SATs etc is entirely up to you. All you have to do after you've decided on what you want is choose the easiest way for you to persist in having that.

What’s wrong with 3b?
Well. Not to be nitpicking on main but like...
So much? It's the part of the show I least desire to rewatch. I might put under cut because this is mostly rant and criticism.
The Plantars were handled wierdly and reduced to comedic relief (All In did them good tho), lack of Darcy as a villain is sad, Marcy going unmentioned by sashanne after her death literally being overlooked in 3A is more tragic than the deed itself
For me when it came to the final act of the story I felt like it was time for plot to work on the conflicts previously set up. Grime's Pupil could've explored Sprig can lift the Warhammer, The Three Armies could've explored the trio's influence on the caste system (maybe Marcy's prior influence on the newts that encourage them to put aside social difference and work with the toads to rescue her)
Call me a buzzkill but I really don't see why we needed a Toadie going apeshit episode, or the two forgettable olms, or mushroom Gary (in place of a 22-minutes Core and the King) When it comes to "fillers" amphibia is known for prioritising character development. These, however, served little to no purpose for anyone.
The army they spent more than half a season building did little if not nothing in the conclusion. It's kind of disappointing how well it killed its own the hype in general (Olm Town Road had a cool cliffhanger which was followed by the nasty nightmare that was Mother of Olms)
I'm not gonna start on the Hardest Thing being my least fave season finale, I understand True Colors is a hella hard act to follow, I'll summarise by saying the entirety of the moon felt random and forced and All In could've already served as the perfect finale.
Aside from like the only 3 good episodes, 3b seem like the kind that never took itself seriously to begin with, despite having all the potential and all the time they needed to make a good season. As the finishing act of the journey it was supposed to do better,

Here's how I look reading your dad/uncle!au.
Tumblr media
Also I would love to hear more about uncle konoha, kiyoomi and kuroo. 🧡
YOURE SO SWEET PLS-
Okay. OkAY.
Before I absolutely unleash hell on my keyboard, let’s start with uncle Konoha because @icedhoneyy really owns that whole domain 👀❤️
But despite what Keiji will tell everyone, and Konoha will show through his actions, the love he has for Mei is absolutely, 1000% unparalleled. When he’s visiting, he’s going full out because it makes her happy, and he’ll do anything for that.
He’s dressed up as a prince and taken her to the movies dressed as such, escorting her and calling her Princess Mei to make her laugh. He’s also dressed up as a princess before, but that was moreso in the beginning, when she was too shy to go out like that alone, and he absolutely was not having that.
The times Keiji has come home with his wife to find Mei curled up against Konoha, her thumb in her mouth and cheeks warm from sleep, it’s almost enough to balance any other ridiculousness Konoha does to drive Keiji nuts, the trust Mei clearly has for him is just so clear that he couldn’t imagine her growing up without Konoha.
Mei calls him Uncle ‘Nori or Uncle Ko, it’s something he’s just learned to reply to and every time he hears it he smiles.
Now… now unCLE KIYOOMI-
He cries. Good god he cries when Atsumu asks him to be Hisako’s godfather. GOD HE CRIES SO HARD-
He went from thinking children were feral creatures to being absolutely obsessed and adoring them, because as terrible as Atsumu annoys Omi, he just… he did so good with raising ‘Sako, and it’s no doubt because he has his better half by his side, but god, Kiyoomi constantly is asking for updates when he hasn’t seen her in a while, and he’s amazed at just how much he loves this kid.
One time, he took her out to dinner when Atsumu had him babysit, just because he wanted to, and he let her order anything she wanted because he knows he’d never be able to say no to that face, and every time she looked up at him with that smile akin to her dad’s, Kiyoomi couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. He makes it a thing to do it every few weeks, and every time he’s presented with a new drawing of the two of them crudely drawn at tables with various foods on top of them.
Kiyoomi hides one in his gym bag and he’s not crying yOU ARE ATSUMU-
Every now and again, when Hisako thinks his hair gets too long, she makes him sit down in her salon- a beanbag chair with a blanket Osamu bought her years ago draped over his chest- and she uses butterfly clips and tiny rubber elastics to tie his hair back in various ways. If he spends the night, Hisako will do it first thing in the morning, and Kiyoomi will keep the clips in until the end of practice because gdi they did help-
SpeaKING OF HAIR because Kiyoomi has such specific curls (I think he’s like, 3b?) Hisako LOVES when uncle Kiyoomi does her hair because he’s so gentle and so attentive with it, he knows how to take care of it and make it all pretty, and it drives Atsumu crazy because she doesn’t want him to do her hair at all anymore.
Hisako calls Kiyoomi Uncle Kiyo or Uncle Omi, and he loves it so much.
NOW. *cracks knuckles* uncle Kuroo. The loml. Baby Kozume’s love of her life. The bane of Kenma’s existence.
He literally just. GOD WHERE DO I START-
Okay. When he finds out that Kenma’s family is growing, he absolutely loses his mind because he never thought that he’d want kids, so the minute kenmas like “yeah and I kinda was hoping you wanted to be their godfather too-“ kuroo nearly breaks Kenma’s poor back from squeezing too damn hard.
Literally anything, ANYTHING Kenma’s other half needs or wants, he’s on it, already ordered it online to have it sent to them; it’s not that Kenma’s incapable or unwilling, it’s just that Kuroo so badly wants to be part of Tiny Kozume’s life and he’s not willing to miss any parts of it.
Now when baby Kenma is bORN-
She’s absolutely obsessed with uncle Kuroo. Comparable to that of Baby Miya. The absolute way she lights up when Kuroo is around is ridiculous. Anytime she hears his voice over FaceTime or speaker, she whines to find him. Kenma invested in one of those like. Baby monitors that notify when the baby has flipped or spoken, and every. Time. Kuroo. Gets a ding. He texts Kenma because his nEICE IS SO COOL KENMA WTF-
“Kuroo she jusT COOED IN HER SLEEP GO TO BED-“
Every time he comes to visit, he cries when he has to leave because she gets so much bigger every time he comes back, he misses it and he misses everything for so many different reasons and he’s just. He gets so upset every time, and there’s this little brunette munchkin with eyes just like her dad’s who’s squishing his cheeks and giggling when he leans down to smother her in affection.
Once she starts to get older, she absolutely ropes poor Kuroo into giving Kenma a heart attack because how could he say NO to that FACE, and while Kenma is such a good dad- god he is and you can’t convince me otherwise- he’s one of those parents that are like “okay, if you jump off the slide and get hurt, you’re gonna learn really quick to not jump off the slide.” Right?? Like he’ll mend the wounds and kiss her cheek and his heart will break, but. Idk. He just seems like the type man to warn his kids but let them learn for themselves ya feel me?
While Kuroo spRINTS across the playground to catch baby Kenma before she can hit the ground because he’d rather break every rib in his body than have to watch her bottom lip wobble in pain.
“Kuro, I had my eye on her, she was fine-“
“Uh no, yOU were blinking as soon as she leapt how dare you not be vigilant-“
One time, Kuroo was house sitting for the two adult Kozume’s, and he was just watering the plants and cleaning up from breakfast when the hairs on the back of his neck suddenly stand up.
He looks over his shoulder and sees the door to the pantry open, and he knows baby Kenma’s favorite snacks are on the top shelf, and he BOOKS- I mean absolutely DASHES- it to the pantry as baby Kenma falls to the floor, literally catching her like he was out of some cartoon.
Baby Kenma cries from the fear, clinging to Kuroo’s arms, he sighs in THE MOST relief, noticing how much it hurts to breathe and he’s going to have to get that checked, but right now all that matters is baby Kenma is safe, and now he’s gotta bribe the three year old to not tell her father why Uncle Kuroo’s ribs are broken-
She calls him Uncle Tetsu or Uncle ‘Roo, and he sobs the first time she does
Ugh. I literally just.
I have to shut up, I’ll go on for hours mate.

One Piece Chapter 1058 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
And we return again
Wano is in the books, and amazingly, we can't be 100% sure what arc we're heading to next. All we know is that the final saga is upon us, so stuff is about to begin to hit the fan even more than usual.
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release
Starting with the cover page and it goes as you'd expect, Caesar wants Germa to take him with them. Doubt it's gonna be a better kind of captivity mind you, though he might be happy experimenting for the Evil Army and giving them weapons
As usual, Luffy is being punished for his recent death-defying stunt, trapped in an iron cage by Nami
Jinbe tries to laugh it off, but Nami's not letting up, giving Jinbe a trial by fire for the domestic Nakama life
It is funny though that Jinbe thinks Nami has Conqueror's Haki
New Bounties Time!
Luffy and 9 Commanders they say, reminder that Blackbeard has 10 Commanders
Cotton Candy Lover Chopper 100 -> 1000 berries, he's at least out of triple digits but it's still an undersale as I expected (though I was harsher at 500), strange though that the WG acknowledge he's a doctor but not up his bounty accordingly
Cat Burglar Nami 66m -> 366m berries, a monster upgrade from her, I only doubled it, but I guess her standing down Kaido did help her bounty increase, much to her horror
Soul King Book 83m -> 383m berries, another 300m addition, surprising though this one since he didn't do too much in Wano, maybe his actions in WCI got revealed at last? We don't see his picture which is weird
Cyborg Franky 94m -> 394m berries, sensing a pattern yet? Unique for Franky though is that his Bounty is the Sunny rather than his face or mech
God Usopp 200m -> 500m berries, the godhood continues, now Usopp's Enel level, though he is very intimidated by it
Devil Child Nico Robin 130m -> 930m berries, an 800m rise is among the largest of rises of the crew, and it's well overdue given how super low her bounty was, now she's in a Yonko crew her threat is higher I guess. Plus she gives Chopper some cotton candy to calm him
Black Leg Vinsmoke Sanji 330m -> 1.032b berries. a 990m increase puts the first wing of the Pirate King into billion tier, but he is dismayed that he is no longer the second highest bounty of the crew, literally flaming in anger
Knight of the Sea Jinbe 438m -> 1.1b berries, Jinbe's recent addition has seen his bounty nearly triple, this one is odd to me given how he worked for Big Mom beforehand and never got such a high bounty, then again he did escape BM's fleet (still need to know about that) so maybe that helped bolster it, Sanji though spares a moment to curse him out as well as the final one.
Pirate Hunter Zoro 320m -> 1,100,001,100 berries, I dunno how Oda decided on this number, I checked Binary conversions but nothing leaps out at me. Zoro is at least smug to be higher than Sanji, though scarring Kaido and defeating King would earn him that right
With Zoro now able to refer to him by rank number, the two squabble again as Luffy, 3b bounty Luffy, sits in a cage
Meanwhile, the other new Yonko isn't faring too well either
A beheaded Buggy begs Mihawk and Crocodile for his life, all while his unaware subordinates sing his praises
Seems that the Cross Guild was Crocodile and Mihawk's alliance specifically, and they don't take kindly to Buggy claiming all the glory
Even Mr. 3 is selling Buggy down the river, dude you forget that Crocodile wanted you dead since Little Garden
Even Buggy's main crew intents to side with Crocodile if he dies
Daz Bones doesn't seem to like that thought though
Mihawk flashes back to the origins of Cross Guild, with Crocodile calling him about his title being stripped and them teaming up. Seems once upon a time, Mihawk was the 'Marine Hunter'
Wouldn't say Mihawk doesn't trust anyone though, can't say that for Crocodile either mind you
Seems the misconception that Buggy is a part of the group comes from Crocodile bailing his island out from the marines, Crocodile only wanted capital from him but he was broke and already owed Crocodile money
As an alternative to being sold to slavery, Buggy offered his services and company to be Crocodile's foundation, only for his fandom of followers to market Buggy as the leader
Don't think I didn't spot the 'here it comes' meme either
Mihawk meanwhile only got roped into it because the Marines knew he was teaming with Crocodile
Cross Guild Bounties are out now too
Sir Crocodile 1.965b
Dracule 'Hawk Eye' Mihawk 3.59b, just over 500m less than Shanks' - who confirms, as if it wasn't already clear, to have better sword skills than Shanks
And for Buggy the Genius, 3.189b. Lower than Mihawk...
Ever the wise one, Mihawk however proposes an alternative to killing Buggy, and instead letting him be the figurehead
Mihawk has no ambitions to be a Yonko and at the least if people come they will go after Buggy rather than them, so he can be their sacrificial lamb
Finally we return to the Kambakka Kingdom, where the Revolutionaries reconvene
Sabo's not back but they're all happy to know he's safe, Dragon though is upset with rumors that he killed Cobra
Looks like there's a Skypeian on that table too...
Kuma sadly still is a mindless slave, as Dragon asks him to recount events
Wiretappers in the Navy have caught an outgoing signal to the kingdom, looks like Sabo's making a call
Ooof, break next week...
This was a nice palette cleanser of a chapter, mainly covering the bounties of the big players. I'm surprised they're so high really, everyone but Chopper got at least a 300m increase. Interested to see how Franky's poster comes into play too, should we start making Mecha Sunny theories? Or is it just a nod to bad timeline Franky becoming a sentient warship?
Surprised no titles were changed too, they felt overdue as my predictions post noted.
We didn't spend a lot of time with the Straw Hats really, which does help my slim hope that Carrot still stowed away, but it does feel like there's a bit more to cover.
We got the reality of the Cross Guild's formation, which is a lot more logical than Mihawk and Crocodile siding with Buggy. I do think Mihawk and Crocodile may be on their guard a lot though, Crocodile would betray Mihawk after all, Mihawk I think knows this but would just swat him away rather than backstab, dude just wants to live in peace it seems, waiting for Zoro to beat him.
Some really high bounties from them, Mihawk being higher than Buggy's still miffs me though, you'd suppose the bounty size would play a part in who is the Yonko after all.
But we cap it off with Sabo and the Revolutionaries, no real answers there but it seems like that's what we're doing next? Perhaps a Reverie II mini-arc? I think Sabo knows he's being wiretapped too, it would make the most sense to expose the WG by telling his side of the story publicly.
Sadly though the breaks have returned for Oda, a month off wasn't enough it seems XD Hopefully though all will be revealed soon
