this goes out to an incredibly niche group of people, but to those who understand and appreciate audio/visual engineering and also maybe the TV show The Librarians, season 4 episode 4 has Eve and Flynn caught in an old mystery film noir, in which a significant portion of this forty minute episode had to be filmed in a 3 by 4 aspect ratio, and let me just say I feel for whoever realized they had to do that
like
the writers had to go "okay guys who used windows movie maker in 2008" and the director went very sceptically, "...why"
"..."
"..."
"because we're filming and editing the entire noir in 3/4 for historical accuracy"
*hysterical screaming, sobbing, and slaughtering of the writer's room*

it honestly breaks my heart that she puts on this show as this sparkly princess-y person but as soon as she is in private she is free to dress in what makes her comfortable and most like herself

there's something that gives me tremendous solace whenever an organization i really love does a graceful handoff of leadership
a lot of communities/projects/visions are only ever meant to be a scene, not a generation-spanning thing, and that's fine, but
there is something beautiful about an entity that's mature enough & healthy enough that the passing of Some Charismatic Guy or Some Charismatic Group isn't the beginning of the end. like if you can build a system that's robust and beautiful and flexible enough to keep inspiring others to come along and take up the torch. that's fucking living babey

it's so funny to me that Nick and Jeff hugged ONCE and like a couple lines between them in the whole series (not including Uptown Girl) and the whole fandom just collectively agrees that they're boyfriends

sometimes i forget that if i talk to 90% of the persona fandom about yusuke being a beautiful goth girl they will have no idea what i'm talking about and be actively confused. like vast majority of people don't even know this. i do tho. i know and i'm right
