Hello hello, sending hugs as always!

I was hoping you maybe be able to give me some inspiration for a small series of food photos I'm assembling for Channukah! I'm doing an 8 part series celebrating the different groups within Judaism to 1. Be loudly and proudly Jewish at this current time, and 2. raise awareness for non-ashki Jews. In the UK it's super hard to find many non ashki peeps which makes it hard to chat to people about other classic Channukah foods, but I was wondering if you knew of any particularly good ones (that aren't latke or sufganiyot)? Would hugely appreciate any suggestions you have!!

Oooh, Hanukkah foods! I'm not gonna lie, some of my fave Jewish foods come from this holiday. With your permission, I'll give a small introduction, just for anyone reading, who might be unfamiliar with Hanukkah, and curious... and also talk about some of the lesser known Hanukkah food traditions among European Jews, too.

So during Hanukkah, we celebrate a miracle that happened with the oil at the Temple in Jerusalem. After the Jews defeated the occupying Greek forces that had desecrated our Temple, we wanted to light again the eternal flame of the Menorah (the Temple candelabra) with olive oil, but after the destruction caused by the Greek forces, there was only enough left for one day, and it would take 8 days to get more oil. The miracle is that somehow, that small amount of oil lasted for the whole 8 days, meaning the light didn't go out again. To remember this miracle, we eat food fried in oil! Being Jewish is so good for your health. XD

In shops and bakeries around Israel, there are already sufganiot being sold. They are YUMMY, and while some people call them "the Jewish donuts," I can say that after having eaten American donuts, I def think sufganiot are way yummier (in part 'coz they're not as "heavy" because the dough it's made of is fluffier? More... airy? Not sure how to say it, but I hope you get the idea). Also, you don't get robbed, because someone made a hole in the middle of the sufgania, taking out nearly half of it. The traditional type has strawberry jam injected inside, and sugar powder on top, but in Israel there are some crazy fancy kinds, and every year they seem to become more extravagant.

Traditional sufganiot (you can see a bit of the jam on top, but half the fun is biting and getting to the "treasure" of lots of jam at the center of the sufgania):

Then there's the latkes, or as they're called in Hebrew, levivot. They're like savoury pancakes made out of potatoes, and obviously they're fried in oil.

In many Jewish communities, there was a custom of giving kids special pocket money for Hanukkah. In Israel, this "money" is given in the form of chocolate "coins." I freaking loved this as a kid! It was fun unwrapping the "coins," eating the chocolate, and then (assuming I was careful when peeling them off), make a collection of the different "coins," or just play with the wrap.

Greek Jews used to make a bread from potatoes and yogurt:

Georgian Jews made levivot out of corn flour (sometimes filled with cheese), or out of potatoes AND nuts, giving it the shape of a big omelette. Here's the corn flour version:

Czech Jews had a custom saying goose is the best meat, so for Hanukkah, they often ate goose related dishes. For example, they would make levivot from potatoes, eggs, sugar, lemon and goose fat.

French and Swiss Jews would make levivot out of apples.

The Jews of Iraq, Algeria and Buchara (which is in Uzbekistan) used to put the Hanukkah pocket money for the kids inside honey cakes. In Algeria and Buchara they also sometimes made levivot with meat added inside.

The Jews of Romania and Austria used to light potato Hanukkah candles! This was likely because they were so poor. Still, a pretty cool thing, when you can light your candle, and eat it (or at least a part of it), too.

In northern Africa, Jews used to make a type of cookie called Debla (sometimes nicknamed "dough roses"), which originated in Libya. They're usually eaten with a sweet syrup. It's more of a Purim dish (the equivalent of Hamantaschen), but was sometimes prepared for Hanukkah as well. Traditional Debla:

And a slightly "fancier" Israeli version:

Okay, maybe my fave Hanukkah dish! It's called sfinge (the 'ge' is pronounced like in "sponge"), and it's basically the Moroccan sufgania, which later became popular among Tunisia and Libya Jews, too. It can be round with a hole in the middle, it can be in the shape of a ball, while Libyan Jews make it flat. It's eaten with either honey or sugar powder, but again, in Israel fancier versions developed... I'm not a great cook, so IDK to explain why, but it's even fluffier than the sufgania, and that's why it's my personal fave.

Happy Leap Year everyone! :D (Or Leap Year Day?? Happy February 29th??? whatever xD)

Drew this a little while back as a sort of belated birthday present for myself (hence their poorly drawn party hats LOL), but it turned out pretty cute so I thought I'd share! :D Also just cause I thought it'd be fun to post something on February 29th because hey, it only ever comes around every 4 years, so why not?

Duck has quickly climbed the ranks into my all-time favourite TTTE characters (All you Duck lovers out there; I 1000% get why you love him now xD), so here's him and the Scottish twins together just for funsies. :D

Don't worry about Oliver, though, I 100% plan on drawing the entire Little Western gang together! ...eventually xD

(asking since I've been on a metal Disney kick)

Smokey would rock Poor Unfortunate Souls by Jonathan Young but would get so into it he needs his Macaque cuddles afterwards to right his head (self demon issues, he is a hero but he also tricked people in the past and is on his journey to change and be good)

While Cherry on the other hand would hands down have fun singing Peyton Parrish's version of I'll make a man out of you since he just started his journey and his pilgrim brothers could use the advice.

The LMK Wukongs love themselves some animation goodness! Mostly to chill after a rough day. Wrap up in a blanket, stick on a film he's seen a million times, Eat some peach chips; he's a happy monkey.

LMK Macaques get distracted by the animation!! Cus? "Peaches look! They're using layered paintings to simulate movement!!" Their faves are Fantasia ( Original and 2000) naturally cus of the high animation quality set to classical music. Dawn/Peach walk in one day and find their Dusk/Plum on the ground crying while watching the cut Dali "Destino" segment.

MK's fave is "Treasure Planet". Try not to ask why or he will change the subject and switch on "Princess and the Frog".

Dasheng doesn't really care, but he watches them anyway cus Liuer and the rest of the kids really like them. He's embarassed to admit that he can sing every line of "Beauty and the Beast" perfectly. Also good date night movies - Zhanshi's fave are the fairytale romances. <3

Smokey don't care about the cartoons, but he does get down to the villain songs. Blasting "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and "Hellfire" so hard that his LEM has to step in to calm him down. Liang is more interested in the technical side of the works, but he just beams with joy whenever the babies chirp/bark excitedly at that opening logo. Shared fave is "The Little Mermaid" naturally (though Sandy argues that it's not an accurate depiction of sea fish demons).

Ace and Joker pretend that they don't care, but you know these goobers take the kids and grandkids to Disneyland whenever they have the excuse. Lots of the classics (since they just got made in their universe) and shared infodumping. Ace will send the other SWK's classic Donald Ducks and Goofy cartoons in the group chat without context.

Cherry and Olive are equally super excited cus "Moving paintings!! Heck yeah!". Cherry's faves are the og animated "Mulan" and "Lilo and Stitch" without question. The latter caught him by surprise cus it made him remember who he's always felt like "a weird little alien" on earth, and Lilo and Nani remind him of Lin. ;_; Olive is just delighted to watch anything Cherry is super-hyped about, and they both hoot happily at the tv together.

Shihou and Mihou are kids and they love cartoons no question. Shihou likes the Milt Kahl-era ones like "Sword in the Stone" and "The Jungle Book" cus he vibes with the themes of growing up, but he finds the romantic ones boring. Mihou in contrast secretly adores the classic "princess" movies like "Sleeping Beauty" and "Cinderella" cus of the sweet stories and music. Shihou will watch Mihou's "boring" films with him without complaint cus he knows how much his opal love them.

Sugar likes the "roadtrip" movies the most; "Atlantis", "Treasure Planet" etc. He's still technically on his Journey, and he loves hearing/seeing tales of others. Spice is pretty shy to voice his opinions but... he likes "Pinocchio" the best - the concept of being created and having to adapt to the world mostly-made tickles his brain in a good way.

Starfruit don't care. Why should he? He knows the real guys! He sees Peter Pan on the regular in the Library! Lilac is the complete opposite, they hold streaming parties with associated Legends to watch their "adaptations" and critique them based on accuracy vs execution. Starfruit joins in, only because he, Goldie, and Peter get to read the movies to filth in the group chat XD

Two movies that hold a place in all their hearts are:

Hercules: Themes of obtaining godhood, heroism, an unclear purpose, goth gf, and weird horses.

Moana: Island life, wanting to explore farther, doing what you can for your people, the inherit tragedy of demi-gods, the whole Te Kā situation...

WIP Whenever

My biggest WIP at the moment is still apartment renovations! Fixing holes and painting walls, but there's now only one corner left, then I'm fucking done and it can't sublty stress me anymore xD

I am having a real good time with the whole process though like... I have no idea yet how long I'm gonna live here, but no matter if it's 3, 5, 10 years, I sure as hell want it to be a cool place for the time being.

My kitty-approved Neo-Kitsch inspired Bedroom wall xD only that one wall, but I love it xD

Writing-wise, I've started the next chapter of "Love is Stored in the Olive Jar". I don't have much to share yet, but here's the opening lines:

V awoke coughing and choking, sputtering a red cloud across his pillow. He quickly sat up, his throat tight and scratchy, mouth like copper. His vision was blurry, he thought from sleep still at first, but no. Through visual glitches and blinding pain he could only just make out the dark red stains dripping from his nose and mouth onto the bedsheet. He gasped for air still, his chest hurting as if he had been stabbed.

Fun times :D

Art-wise I have been working on a secret gift for the cp2077 new year's exchange that I finished the other day :3 And I have some wips of the bois (TM) but I can only share one on tumblr for reasons:

Very professional photo of my iPad screen XDD This is still rough and subject to change, but the idea was basically, V and Kerry, a bunch of years post-2077 (like... 5-10 or so), just very comfy and happy and healthy ;__;

VP-wise I still have a couple of pics on the backburner, some I still wanna edit, and maaan ;__; I also recently got to test some friends' mods that I'm super excited for and share the pics of!!! <3

Aaaand... that's it XD I hope in the new year I can dive back into modding, once the renovations are done, and also get started with more regular commissions and streaming again, cause I've been missing both but yeah... you see my list of projects above, there's only so much time in a day xD

As always, I will do some live commenting as I watch the concert even though I am not too familiar with her new songs so I will probably not have a lot to say about them T_T Also not the biggest fan of an acoustic guitar-only accompaniment but that's a personal preference XD First things first, her shirt/blouse looks great, especially with the pearl necklace.

1.Flow: I recall not particularly liking the studio version. Can't say the acoustic arrangement has changed my opinion unfortunately. Still appreciate her vocals though. 2.Embrace: Very excited how this will turn out since I do enjoy the studio version quite a bit. Nice reverb effect. The verses sound amazing, obsessed with the way she sings the "mirai..." part. And the bridge with the “ai yueni…” is lovely. 3.Awe: "Embrace" and "Awe" back to back, YESSS! This honestly gets better every time I listen to it. Don't even mind when Hikaru gets a bit shouty because it works so well for this song. 4.Treasure: Meh... I'll admit that this doesn't do anything for me. Couldn't even remember listening to it before although I most definitely did. 5.Under the Rain: Ohhh, did not expect this song to make an appearance. Thought Hikaru would be focusing solely on her "Features" tracks for this acoustic live. Very happy. The chorus isn't my cup of tea but I love the melody in the verses. And the scene from the play will always be a personal favourite. Wow, the raspy voice Hikaru uses towards the end is pretty cool. Think this is my favourite rendition of the song so far. 6.Remain: Can't pinpoint what bothers me about the song but I am not a fan. 7.Escape: The acoustic version is better than the studio version I think. Not quite as chaotic. Still not my favourite. 8.Survivor: Feel quite nostalgic about Hikaru's first song as freelance artist. Solid performance. 9.奇跡/Kiseki: Still very fond of the melody during the instrumental section but the rest of the song is just okay I guess...Not even the lalala part works for me, it's a shame T_T

This is such a gorgeous on for Parvati and Lavender. Tee's way of writing is flows so effortlessly here, telling us a story about friends who have gone through some terrible things and find their way back to each other again. It's realistic, angsty, and curious. Also, there's a tea shop!

Day 2- A Comfort Fic

I Await a Protector by megyal (Drarry, M, 5.7k)

A snarky Patronus and its even more snarky master insist on disturbing Harry's peace of mind.

I love this one so much, and it's been a long-time fav. I love the way Patronuses are used in this fic since it really makes the pull between Harry and Draco super solid. The way this story was written really cool...almost like taking pieces of a puzzle and putting everything together. If you love snarky Draco and Harry jumping into his usual Gryffindor mode to save the day, check this one out.!

Day 9- A Rare Pair Fic under 2k

Pick me up by SquaresAreNotCircles (Perciver, T, 680)

Oliver tries out some really, really bad pick up lines on Percy.

This is short as hell, but the pick-up lines are gold, I swear! I could totally see Percy cringing but also loving that Oliver is trying to use them on him, and maybe he's just fond? Oliver is totes trying, and it's awesome! XD

Papyton Week Day 5: Boots

“Lady Toriel tells us both that we ought to enjoy the moments when there are three sets of boots at the door instead of just two. The young dude in the picture is Oliver. He's a 23 year old college kid that Papyrus and Mettaton sort of mentor? ... adopted? It's complicated. But, they're definitely the folks he considers his folks more than his biological parents. Sometimes he stays at their apartment when he's not with his girlfriend, and those days make the two of them super happy. That's about all you need to know about him.

(I feel like I'm fifteen again. XD)

I had hella fun drawing this. I drew it on bristol paper. So, the colors didn't quite catch on my camera the way they do in person. It looks a little over exposed for some reason? (Also, Mettaton is actually silver, so he sparkles.)

I don't draw all that often because I don't have a lot of time. I whipped this up in a couple of interrupted hours this evening.

So, if the shading and stuff looks rough, it is.

That said, I love how Papyrus turned out. I've tried drawing him a billion times and I feel like I can just never get him quite right.

And, my LORD, I feel like I finally have Mettaton in the correct balance between "hardcore punk" and "colorful popstar." The septum piercing is what he was missing. I still think I can play with his cheekbones and jawline a little. (I should have pulled up some reference pictures, but I didn't have time.)

SYOUL PROFILES

(the unserious but also equally as serious ver.) not proofread but this might get deleted later anyways lmfao

warnings: mentions of food, child neglect, manipulation, swearing. lmk if anything else.

ISEUL: cuddle bug first, idol and songwriter second. the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree; knows manipulation and performs it well. too soft for the liking of others however, and is often stuck between the conflicts of not being enough of a man. born to slay, forced to nay. another tale of time wasted at a company who wouldn’t even look his way for a mere minute lmfao. could’ve debuted on two separate occasions but the higher ups said “nope!” and well. here he is now. people pleaser #1; was born to puppet strings and will continue to be tied to them until he decides to cut them off, even if he thinks he already did.

OLIVER: born to “Rawr XD”, forced to “Grrr Bark Bark Alpha male-core”. haunted by the wolf that lurks in his family’s past. protective to the point where he can be overbearing—depends highly on the situation—but would lay his life down for this little “family” they have going on. outcasted for most of his childhood and trainee days; school messed him up a lot. my bad. but fuck them, there’s no way any of that can reach him now. right?

SEOJUN: tired #1. the stone pillar with no visible cracks until you knock a hand against it to find it hollow. the product of absent parents and being a witness to their favouritism for his older brother. despite that, the two of them are extremely close. simultaneously needs a lifetime supply of coffee and to be cut off from caffeine entirely. the glue of the group and is the main one to set his foot down. will not stand for any injustice and is a little too venomous when it comes to protecting his group; sometimes his defence turns into more of an attack, but what’s the difference when the group is the main topic? is sick and tired of the doubt and comparison, even more than seven. he’s just better at hiding it.

MARS: the sanest one by technicality but doesn’t seem like it. someone who tries so hard to be loved and is constantly searching in all the wrong places. touch starved and really just needs a good hug and to be told he’s doing amazingly. the exuberant one who puts himself out there because he’ll do anything to have this group survive. sm 100% regrets letting him go; he was willing to do whatever they wanted of him if it meant his efforts were recognized even a little bit. it’s funny because he loves dancing and is damn good at it but the old management didn't want to classify him as a dancer so they wrote him for every position except for dancer.

KJ: tired #2. punishes himself for a childhood he had no control over; nothing was his fault but in some ways, it was. literally a wet cat caught in the rain. looks nice enough to help out but might bite and hiss if you try to give him an umbrella. is overly cautious when it comes to being shown kindness; please don’t mind the side eyes and the calculating glare, he’s trying to accept it as such i swear. has like. has 2-3 close friends outside of the group and really doesn’t plan on making more unless you’re really persistent. doesn’t look all too threatening but you better watch out if you get him mad; that’s a whole territory no one has seen before. venom in his words is his main weapon and he’s damn good with it too.

RYO: can do no wrong in everyone’s eyes. the nicest out of the entire group and also the most forgiving. the willing dog counterpart to oliver’s feral wolf like nature. people pleaser #2 and would show his belly without a second thought. stupidly trusting, but not naive. if that makes any sense. the second punisher. carries a guilt so deep, you’d have to remove his heart to get it out of his system. none of it was his fault; they told him otherwise.

SEVEN: angsty babygirl coded. a pack of fireworks if they were shaped into a human; he’s not dangerous compared to dynamite when he blows, but it stings nonetheless. at least he’s pretty though. will play nice until you decide to stop. but like, his definition of playing nice when it comes to people he’s wary of is batting them around with his claws slightly out. or ig in this case, spikes out bc um he’s so hedgehog coded to me. or orange cat. both work. he’s just prickly. the second best facade next to seojun; his is just a little bit more crackable if you know where to push.

Yippee! Apologies for taking so long, last minute I had, like, three essays due RIP. Thank you for the ask!!!! (I'm trying to remember to thank everyone who sends me asks lol, I need to be polite!)

Here she is! My explanation for how I drew her and stuff under the cut!

She's so pretty imo

OKAY so basically I tried giving her this motherly vibe in her face. Unfortunately the age lines are very apparent because my opacity was too low RIP. I hope I got this sorta "kind" look to her face. her backstory always makes me sad, so I felt a lil sad while drawing this TwT she's such a neat character and Babylon was my absolute favorite arc in the game. As well with her face, I tried referencing how women are drawn in Middle Eastern art. I'm trying to work on my same face syndrome XD

With her clothes, I tried to also reference some Mesopotamian clothes and jewelry along with her canon clothes. Her canon clothes are so hard to draw!!! Her sleeves especially. The colored in gold and blue is gold and lapis lazuli

I low-key high-key struggled with her horns and braids. I like to think an alternative hairstyle for her would be super curly hair. Maybe one day I'll sketch it? But I low-key failed with her hair RIP

Drawing women/feminine bodies is a huge struggle for me, so I hope I did well

Originally with her skin, I was going to go for a more pale olive look, but then I decided to make her look more dead-ish with grey instead. I got inspired with how I color in For Funsies AU! Enkidu (Enkidu's skin lays in a more grey tone due to being made of clay, however)

She was actually really fun to draw!

Ok I had a go making sfinge today and they're unlike anything I've ever made? Like it's almost a 100% hydration dough (1:1 ratio flour to liquid) and there's basically no sweetness to the dough itself - they seem almost savoury (although maybe that was the recipe I found?).

I had a proper double take moment when I had them with honey as it's like the lovechild between a sourdough and a doughnut! Honestly so bizarre but I loved it. Cannot wait to gorge myself the next few days (I made 30 kibbeh tonight to do am waiting to fry them up tomorrow 🎉)

(also we have all seen how Oliver Stark has decided Buck eats on 911 by unhinging his jaw and I'm imagining Buck in your series attempting to get a full one of these in in one go and just covering himself in honey)

OMG! Hon, your sfinge looks SO good, I am going to die over here, since I have no possibility to get or make some this Hanukkah. I salute you for making them, the pics are gorgeous and appetizing, and I am SO happy that you liked them! But also, you have to get to try the ones with whipped cream and strawberries we have here, they're my personal faves, and I can't get enough of them.

(also, I love that image of Jewish Buck devouring sfinge without a second thought... not gonna lie, thinking of writing that now)

Okay, since you shared gorgeous pics with me, I'll share some photos right back. My apologies for them being less gorgeous, but on my way to get my treatment this Thursday, I got to stop by the local mall and take these. 1.) I can swim, but I can only doggie paddle. This fact is so only because on either my 1st or 2nd [hehe Second] camping trip, I was taught some of the ropes by a friend.

By camping trip, I mean the one where my church sets up a summer camp, I sign up, and then go off without my parents for 3 days, 5 days, or a week, depending on circumstances.

My very first camping expedition was for 3 days. My second [heh] was for a week. I think in total I have gone on camping trips.... I want to say eight times? Nine?

2.) I have coffee in my blood.

I cannot express how much I love coffee. And yet, somehow it's not an addiction. I don't have to have one every single day, and honestly sometimes I get too busy with my day to even remember coffee exists. XD

But man. I LOVE COFFEE.

About 290mL of steamed and foamed milk plus two shots of espresso.

Delicious.

3.) I work at a Dominos pizza place and am REALLY good at slapping the dough out. That is the term "slapping", meaning that I stretch the dough ball out evenly to place on the sheets. I have been working there for close to three years now.

I love pizza.... as long as it doesn't have bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives on it. Sausage... depends on the quality. My mom buys good sausage and I'm a little spoiled, lol.

Also, you can't buy a cinnamon roll at Dominos, but I can make a bunch using a medium dough ball and our cinnamix. The joys of custom-making stuff as an employee. XD

My favorite pizza is a pan pizza, topped with a mixture of garlic parmesan sauce and hearty marina sauce, cheddar cheese, minced fresh garlic, spinach, more cheddar cheese, EXTRA bacon, tomatoes, EXTRA pineapple, more cheddar cheese, EXTRA EXTRA onion slices [stick, I love raw onion so much], more cheddar cheese [sometimes at this point pepperoni and/or chicken also depending on mood and how mountain high the pizza is at this point], oregano and garlic herb seasoning, and then usually a liiiight drizzle of buffalo sauce, a little more cheddar and then into the oven it goes.

A Scarlett Special. Trust me, it is delicious. It may sound very weird to some, but I make good food. I have many positive reviews to back me up. :>

I wish I could make some now and pass you a slice through the screen.

Um. I got carried away there, oof.

[Canon!SWK/Dawn is just sobbing from the cuteness of their daughters. He def ranks them higher on the cuteness ladder than any of the au! kiddos.]

Like, the other SWKs get it, they too find their own kiddos the cutest amongst the cubs, but still - "Oh, put them up, buttercup!"

[Jackpotshipping is unlikely. .. Unless they find another freebie in the trash .. Street orphans are negotiable.]

Ace coming to visit one day and leaves with a new kid he found in Megapolis, calling 'dibs' XD

[Canon!Red: "It will keep our parents off of our backs regarding children at least. For at least for a few months."]

Hehe!

A few months later, in the restaurant, MK and Red are sort-of being cornered and asked about the future kids, only for SWK bust through the door, an absolute manic grin on his face, tail wagging at speeds comparable to a jet engine, while holding Macaque in a bridal carry.

There is no sight of the nimbus, so the group wonders if he ran here...

"We're pregnant!" SWK announces, before backpedaling, "Well, not 'we', not like our alts, but we are, well, Mac is, ugh, I helped!"

"Give him a minute. He is so excited he left his brain back on Flower Fruit Mountain." Macaque laughs softly at that.

So much excited screeching incoming.

And relief, from Spicynoodles now that the group's attention is diverted again.

Even if Canon PIF and Mac are not more than begrudging allies, I could see them looking up things for the babies, for the former to see what's new and useful for rearing children since she now knows what needs to be done to make more.

Though, the best advice must come from those who have raised multiple kids by now:

"Color code everything!"

"Huh?"

"Kids will argue about what belongs to whom. Especially twins - and triplets. Color coding saves your sanity. Can't argue the teddy bear is yours if it has a bandana of your siblings color, right?"

"Also, just because you're craving it, don't nonstop indulge. The weight makes the birth worse."

"What do you mean by that?" Gets shown the image of the Nodelets after birth, "Holy shit, she's huge!"

Ok thats gotta be my favorite way to describe how Wukong reacts to such good news. I love the mental imagery of his tail going at the speed of a helicopter rotor as he tries to figure out how to announce it to the gang. Canon MK is def the first to start crying with proxy happiness.

Aww, I love the thought of the other parent LEMs giving Canon!Macaque/Dusk baby advice. Like a moms club.

And ofc Plum using Yuebei's baby photo as a warning not to indulge. He jokes that the little girl "needed her own room" or else neither he nor Peach would have been able to move from the baby weight. Dusk shudders at the thought.

Liang tells horror stories of the 5 stone-fruit monkeys fighting over whos things are whos. Colour co-ordination is such a must to avoid in-fighting.

Zhanshi has softer advice on how to take care of a smaller/weaker baby (Xiaoyun hatched prematurely). And Olive just says "You are gonna feel like crap sometimes. Its normal."

Meanwhile in the next room, Canon!SWK/Dawn is getting roasted by the whole SWK gang for his worrying + his brain stuttering from happiness.

I can imagine all the other SWKs letting Dawn have his moment of new-dad-pride when the twins are actually born, but you know the fists and staffs are flying the second Dawn tries saying his kids are the cutest of the whole multiverse. Smokey argues for Xiao Qi, whos so cute he literally heals the world. Dasheng in turn argues for Xiaoyun, his scrappy little cloud. Cherry is then like "nope, you're all wrong. your babies can't out-cute my pebble army."

Its worse than the time the other DBKs met and went full soccer-dad on eachother.

The LEMs come back only to see the living room completely destroyed. Someone has been tosed through a screen door. The table has been broken in half.

Only the ones that stayed out of it are the SWKs who don't have any kids + Ace ( s laughing up a storm).

Plum: "What in buddha's name happened here!?" Peach: "A matter of pride. Dawn tried saying his kids are cuter than ours." Plum: "...thats dumb. You know babies look ugly as frick to anyone not the parents. Simple biology." The Other SWKS, regaining conciousness: "Huh?" Plum: "Observe. I was just showing the other Macs a certain newborn photo of Yuebei. Does this look like a cute baby to you?" The Other SWKs: *looks at photo* Photo: *newborn Yuebei being weighed on a kitchen scale. Her face is super wrinkly, and her fur is really wispy and wet-looking. Looks like a little angry gremlin. Her smaller brothers are right next to her in the bassinet.* Smokey: "Sweet buddha..." Cherry: "Thats a HUGE baby!" Dasheng: "...did you say newborn!?" Plum: "Yup. Why did you think I warned Dusk not to give into cheese cravings?" Dawn: "I thought that was just photoshop..."

The argument is immediately forgotten, as now the SWKs are just glad that they didn't get a mega-sized 9-pound potato baby. Its all in good fun though, as Plum and Peach consider Yuebei to be their little ice lily.
