Spring time means...flowers? And boys in love, apparently. I usually don't like drawing flowers, but digital vs. traditional is super different, so I might have to reconsider since it was actually nice?!! I guess it depends what kind of flower you draw, and thankfully carnations are on the easier side and floofy.

This piece was drawn for @merlintarotfest using The Citadel Oracle Deck for a card reading of The Shepherd (celebration and/or family), The Thief (seizing the moment and/or selfishness), and The Acolyte: (new projects and/or learning). Also fills a @merlinbingo artist square using the hex color #4FB477 (aka a really gorgeous and nice green for the spring!).
And okay, I guess my inspo really wanted to see soft boys having a stolen moment of love. I'm going to assume Arthur and Merlin don't have a lot of time to take a breather to express their feelings for each other openly, so in this moment, that's what they get. That's totally what they deserve too, right? More love and hugs and Nice Things.
I actually like how this piece came out, considering that this derived from a WIP I ended up scrapping, but what totally influenced my colour palette. Sometimes, going with the flow can make some magical things happen.

The other fic that came to mind is Wormwood and Realgar, by @opalesqueopioid (written for Quidditchfest, this fic has been hidden, which, i'm sad bc this fic was amazing and is one i think of often...dragonheartstrings!!! but regardless, i'm including it bc i was completely immersed like 👀 and jaw drops and whoopings!)
C2. What word or expression always makes you cringe when you read it?
'kay, i'm just going to say it. any use of "the blond" or "the brunette" or "the younger man"...i.e. epithets. i can forgive these, and let them slide...for the most part, but i confess, i do cringe a bit when i read it. it's not enough that i'll nope out of a fic...that's usually for Big Ticket Things (squicks, if you will)...but yeah. this and also "Dray" as a nickname for Draco. again, not enough to nope out ever, and NO JUDGEMENT, YOU DO YOU, but me personally, i 'cringe' and move on.

Krissy, our sweet sugareey (@sugareey-makes-stuff) is one of the loveliest humans in fandom, I promise. Genuinely, such a sweetheart.
Also...quite the busy bean! A jellybean. To stay on the "sugary sweet" theme. A busy jellybean, our Krissy! She runs the Wizarding Creator's Den server, and never fails to do bi-monthly check-ins about what folks are up to, which I always look forward to! How are my monthly goals?? Why thank you for asking! It's a good place to hangout with fellow creators, and I've found so much support and comfort not only about creative subjects, but others as well. During my worst fandom experience, that's the place I went. And there I found the strength to get out of a bad situation. I am very grateful for that place, and to Krissy for running it, and being there, and being such an active and caring mod.
Krissy also runs various challenges. @wood-you-rather-challenge and @hp-flowers, at least! And let me tell you, I am thrilled HP Flowers exists! Combining my love of HP and flowers?? Yes please and thank you. In fact, these challenges inspired the little graphic I made for her! I thought "I need wood...and also flowers." So: ta da! (I think it turned out pretty cute, not to toot my own horn or anything.)
She was also one of those special souls that helped me stay sane when writing Contempt last year. In my hour of need, with that most desperate cry for help, Krissy was one of those who answered the call! I don't know what I would have done without her and my other beloved cheer readers. Contempt might not exist today!
Krissy is also a lady of varied and excellent taste. But also varies and excellent skill. I so admire her creativity and enthusiasm for fandom. Her love shines so brightly, I couldn't help but be intrigued by what Krissy was doing, and what she was loving. Perciver?? Not a ship I usually look for on its own, but boy did Krissy sell me on them! Her trip into the Teen Wolf fandom has me pretty tempted, too, not gonna lie. Which is pretty big, because I so rarely watch shows!
Not to mention just how unique and incredible Krissy's art is. I'd know her work from a mile away! It's so different and cool and there's so much feeling in every piece! I'm forever blown away by her talent.

Happy birthday Krissy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure y'all know, but @sugareey-makes-stuff is kind of a legend. Their art is insane, and I personally consider them the authority on all things Mulciver and Perciver. They mod 4 different fests (one which runs 2x a year), two Discord servers, and are an active part of the Drarry community who's a joy to interact with. I feel lucky AF that they're geographically near me for future Drarry hangs ❤️ ANYWAY - to celebrate, here are my favorite of their art pieces. Okay folks! This Beast has been kept under wraps since April, and now it's finally out for the world to see. Hooray!
The original idea made for @sterekreversechallenges was a simple palette of blacks, greys and golds with some melty painty thing going on for our fav boys. When @wolfspurr snatched this piece right up, I was super excited because I adore her writing so much.
Working with her was fun with squeeing and screaming, but that didn't come without whining and a whole roller coaster of other feels (because Stiles and Derek made us work to get this whole collab to be exactly the way we wanted it). The journey to make this particular Sterek story come to life was such a crazy one, and it was worth the endless hours of enthusiasm and labor of love we put in.
And heyyy, I also got to make two more additional art pieces! So, if you want some good ol' college fun, humor, fluff, and angst with some spice, please give this story a read and some love!

But Irma isn’t retiring for another year, and Stiles can’t exactly speed up her carefully plotted retirement process.
Instead he’s stuck working the circulation desk for another year. Yippee.
Tom, a somewhat geriatric full-time librarian that should have started his retirement process last century sits at the reference desk and gingerly flips through the newspaper that Stiles processed this morning.
