Talk Garden Vol.8!! ~The Longest Episode in the History of My Garden~

Wakana's Talk Garden Vol.8 has just been uploaded! This time, I abandonded the idea of a strict topic (the presents are also on hold for the time being☆), and instead, I wanted to do a sort of extra edition where you could send me all of your questions for me. I was very determined to read as many messages as possible! And as a result...the podcast ended up being over an hour long!! 😂🤣Sorry!! *laughs* I didn't edit it at all so you get to listen to everything🤣Everyone, please take your time and check it out＼＼\٩( 'ω' )و //／／

I'd like to post some photos of the things I talked about in the podcast! This here is the whiskey which I always use to make highballs🥃Looks cute together with Tet. Next up are my training items. A FLOWIN training mat with pads. Apparently, professional footballer Yūto Nagatomo ⚽️ also uses them. Next are my voice training companions. These are textbooks for voice lessons. They are incredibly helpful. This is already my second Concone book. Then we have this English chat app. Here you can see Teacher Susan (AI). She says a lot of difficult things that I struggle to understand. Finally, these are my hair care and makeup products. I use most of them daily, depending on my mood. I mainly go for the pink one in the middle. And these are my latest top makeup products. The yellow ones look so cute. I bought the star-shaped shiny silver one to apply some of it to my décolletage at the Ghibli concert but then I completely forgot to do it.

FC Bulletin Sequel‼︎ Arrival of Spring & Meeting You〜Pharmacy Edition〜

This is a continuation from the Talk Corner in the latest issue of my fan club bulletin. My diagnosis story ended with me visiting an ENT specialist due to a feeling of pressure in my ears. There, I ended up receiving a shocking diagnosis from the doctor that I might be experiencing hay fever😇 Unable to accept this sudden reality, I grabbed my prescription and headed to the pharmacy, feeling anxious. When I entered the pharmacy feeling depressed, I was greeted by two female pharmacists with kind smiles.

Pharmacist 1 (hereinafter referred to as Pharma1): "This is a prescription for an allergy medicine. Do you suffer from hay fever?" Wakana (hereinafter referred to as W): "Yes…it seems like I'm making hay fever debut..." Pharma1+Pharma2: (with a big smile in unison) "Ohhh! Welcome to our world! \(^o^)／" 😂 Pharma1: "Don't worry. It will go away if you take this medicine. Also, the doctor didn't prescribe anything strong so I don't think you're struggling with serious symptoms." Pharma2: "These days, there are many ways to deal with hay fever so you really don’t need to worry!" W: "Thank you…😭" (What a relief *sobs* Along with the pressure in my ears, I sometimes got itchy eyes. I had been prescribed eye drops, but the pharmacists told me there was a ``eye drop-type eye wash'' that they recommended. I asked them to introduce it to me. ) Pharma1: "Well, that girl from one of the something-something~zaka bands is doing a commercial for it." Pharma2: "That’s right, the one from the ~Zaka group!." Pharma1: "What's their name again? There are too many already!" Pharma2: "Hmm, yes, I wonder which group it was…" W: " Ugh, sorry, I'm not familiar with the group...'' (← I wasn't able to follow their conversation and had to give a vague answer. The two of them kept trying to remember the group's name instead of trying to figure out the girl's name from the commercial. By the way, the correct answer was Erika Ikuta from the first group, Nogizaka46.)

This is the eyewash that was recommended. In the morning, usuallly use something else to wash my eyes but the two pharmacists said this eye wash was even better😳 Now, after washing my face in the morning and before putting in my contacts, I always use this "Well Wash EYE"! ←It kind of looks like in the commercial. Of course, you can also use it as a sort of eye drop when you are out and about, so I keep it in my bag 😊

Anyway, I was very anxious about experiencing my very first hay fever, but thanks to the two kind pharmacists my future is looking bright! ! 😊 . . . . As for my current condition, I think the hay fever has completely gone away🤣🤣🤣 I no longer need to take allergy medicine every night 😂 Sometimes my eyes mysteriously swell, when I went to the allergist, I was prescribed the same medicine as last time, so I think I'll keep it on hand in case something flares up again. It was a short experience with hay fever...🥺😂 However, it may be a seasonal thing and the symptoms may appear again in the future! If that happens, I will remember those kind pharmacists and get through it! ! ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

Now, I'll post some pictures from the "Selfie Challenge" that I talked about in my last "Talk Garden" episode! [Note: A fan asked her to post more pictures of herself on Instagram since it's mostly flowers and the sky XD] Ughhh, it's so difficult... I don't even know what to do with my face. This is clearly the face of someone who has been completely defeated... The road to selfies is rough *laughs*😂 I'll continue to do my best so please support me! ! 🥺🥺✨

To be honest, I've always been curious about that as well (especially since Keiko started talking so openly about her weight and different diets) but I would have never found the courage to actually ask her about it. She says she is a bit embarrassed and would rather not talk about it but for the past five years, she has roughly been the same weight. Ohhhh! I never thought I'd hear Keiko sing Linda Ronstadt's "Desperado" (I really like a lot of Linda's work; Update: Apparently Linda’s version isn’t the original. Sorry! I’m clueless when it comes to American music🙈). Needless to say, I am obsessed!! Apparently, this was a suggestion by her music director Asami Sakata (the one Keiko keeps referring to as "Asami-chan" – you can see her commenting in the live chat).

Keiko also mentioned that she had originally planned to go on a little overseas trip during April but due to her ongoing skin issues, she decided against it. Right now she is like a turtle staying tucked in her shell to protect herself.

On a side note, the live ended very abruptly so don't be surprised by the sudden cut-off in the video.

The girls looked particularly good here and I really enjoyed that performance of "stone cold" (although I am starting to get a bit tired of it XD). By now I've gotten used to Kaori doing Wakana's chorus parts but seeing the official MV at the very end of the broadcast is making me miss Wakana again T_T

"from the edge" was fun to watch but ultimately just meh. Not a fan of the song. There are some epic parts but overall, there is too much going on for me and as we all know, LiSA's voice is not my cup of tea.

Hikaru at Music Champ event

The other day, Hikaru appeared as a guest on day 2 of the Music Champ promo campaign to celebrate the release of SHAZNA's album "参華三釼" 🎼 (Tweet by Hikaru). The song corner seems to have been pretty neat from what I could tell from various responses on Twitter. Not sure how many songs they sang in total but they definitely did a collab of "Blackbird" by The Beatles (reminds me of Hikaru's Birthday Event from 2018). I haven't been able to watch any of the latest Music Champ streams so I have honestly no idea what's going on at the moment T_T.

So I read your summary for Keiko's live stream with Kaori and how they're joking about Gyaru and Keiko's sunglasses(?) and I wonder if you got that picture of what they're talking about? Oh and how Gyaru is Keiko really at her younger days?

Hello there!

For anyone who is curious, THIS is the post in question.

And yes, Keiko was very much in her gyaru era back in the early 2000s. She rocked some crazy looks to be honest. Lots of weird prints, big hair, heavy eye make-up, a super light lipstick, the trademark peace signs and duck faces, etc...

I couldn't find an exact match of the picture that Kaori is describing during the broadcast (Keiko looking over the top of a pair of sunglasses while doing a peace sign). There are similar pictures of course (see above) and also some pretty old ones of Kaori and Keiko posing together but neither of them look particularly gyaru here so I don't think Kaori was referring to those...

Keiko seems to be quite embarrassed about that time period but honestly, she looks so cute in every single picture (questionable styling choices notwithstanding XD)

I am of course biased but this was definitely one of my favourite lives. I just love this sort of beauty content. Watching Keiko do her make-up and hair is so much fun. The curls look amazing on her! (I'll admit, I am actually not the biggest fan of plain straight hair, I prefer a bit of dynamic and volume). We got a little hint of some of her upcoming solo activities. April will be dedicated to her YouTube Cover Collection. Then we have a bunch of YK stuff. For the end of summer, she plans to do a FC event that's supposed to have some sort of variety show vibe so expect it to be funny. I would assume it's gonna be similar to Keiko's Room #14 but a bit more elaborate or maybe like Wakana's FC Online Event during the summer of 2021 where she played all sorts of games. We shall see. After that, we can expect some normal lives again but she reveals nothing specific.

“Ghibli wo Utau” Concert~A Night Of Tears~

“Ghibli wo Utau” Concert ~ Produced by Satoshi Takebe was held on March 27th (*'▽'*) It still feels like a dream to be able to perform at a tribute concert for my all-time favourite Studio Ghibli works. Today I will be sharing plenty of photos from that concert! It was held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A✨ The screen at the back shows famous scenes from each work. When I was singing, I believe they showed San and Moro in the background 😍 (I was facing the audience the whole time so I couldn't see them...)

This time, I chose a dress inspired by San from Princess Mononoke 👗 It was so cute ♡ Here I am together with Mr. Satoshi Takebe who is literally a super-human, he was hosting the whole event, taking charge of the MCs, performed on the piano and he also arranged all the songs for this concert😂😂It's amazing😂 When I was asked to sing ``Princess Mononoke'' for the album, I remember that at first I jumped up and down with joy but then I quickly started to feel anxious, wondering whether I would be able to do a good job... However, when I saw Takebe-san and everyone involved in the production working so incredibly hard to make a good album, I swore to myself that I would give my very best and work as hard as I could. I am grateful to Takebe-san for always believing in me and never giving up on me! ! Takebe-san, thank you very much for your hard work! ! ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

This was my first time collaborating with Leo Ieiri! I got to sing “Itsumo Nando Demo” together with her, it was so much fun 😊 She was a very kind and wonderful person...😳✨ We actually have something in common, we are both Sagittariuses from Fukuoka, that made me happy 😊 I hope to see you again✨

And here I am with Shigeru Kishida from “Quruli”! We had our picture taken while I got to hold my personal Totoro😂 During the concert, I watched most of the artists' performances from the stage side wings, Kishida-san's story was particularly funny 😂 It seems like Takebe-san tends to call him "Shige-chan" 😂 So cute 😂 Not only his performance of “My Neighbor Totoro” but also “Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea” was amazing!

I also had a photo taken together with Kaela Kimura! She is too cute~~🥺💕 I felt the audience get even more excited during Kaela's "Rouge's Message"😊 She is a very powerful and charming performer😍

I brought a lot of my Ghibli mascots with me that day, actually, everything except Tet was a gift from my fans 😂 All of you really know and understand me...😭✨Thank you😭✨ (Totoro and his friends on the right, Acorn and Kurosuke are matryoshka dolls. Ashitaka and Kodama are finger puppets, and Totoro on the left is a pouch!)

The Totoro cream puffs provided by the catering service were super cute! (It doesn't even look out of place when lined up side by side with all of my mascots!)

I really enjoyed reflecting on that special day with lots of photos! I was among the first ones to perform so I actually wanted to tell all of you in advance that you should make sure to arrive in time 😂 And then when I stood on stage, I immediately started looking for familiar faces in the audience😂

It was my first time standing on stage with so many artists since I became a solo artist so I was a little nervous... I sang while thinking of all of you, believing that my botanical friends were definitely there in among the many gathered fans! 😂 Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who supported me...😭✨ I was beyond thrilled to be able to participate in a concert that allowed me to be so involved with Ghibli's music!
