This whole thing was extremely messed up. I thought at least when they completed the whole thing they would be able to talk to the girls they were trying to save. Get some closer.
But no! Instead they evaporate before their eyes and then these bloodthirsty mofos appear and kill their companions.
...checks out I guess.

Well, this was a lot.
I moved from liking this lady, thinking it was so nice that Neiru had someone caring for her
to finding out she's working with the creepy men/bug guys
Who are up to shady business. I don't get what they gain by the girls fighting, especially since they control everything.
If they could just let the girls meet the ones they are fighting to save at anytime, like with Kotobuki and Neiru...
What do they want from these girls? Are they helping or hurting? I'm thinking it's the latter.

Ep 8 of Wonder Egg Priority
I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't expecting a recap episode in a series with only 13 episodes.
Anyway watching all the recap did make me notice a few things, like Neiru is always fighting on a bridge. Didn't really piece that together.
It did have me wondering what scenario would appear if I cracked an egg.

It's really nice to get a little more backstory on Rika
and it's also interesting to see that she acts very similar to her mom when she's with the other girls.
I would venture a guess that being afraid of ending up like her mom is what she really has to work on. Especially since now she's getting eggs that are similar to her and not the fangirl she initially wanted to save.
Hope to get more about the other girls as well.

Episode 6 was wild,
Ai's mom and Mr. Sawaki?!
Neiru suggests that Ai likes Mr. Sawaki.
And then the episode ends with this whole scene...
There's something off about Mr. Sawaki's reaction here and it's left me with a nagging sensation in my brain.
What the hell is going on here?!

Rika is saying exactly what I'm feeling at this point of the show. They're no longer alone and the things they are hoping get out of this egg challenge, I feel like it can be achieved in time as they grow up or talk to someone.
Idk I just think it's only a matter of time before they bump into an egg with an enemy that's too strong for them to fight on their own.

Four episodes in and these girls' stories are just getting sadder. The girls that come out of the eggs and the girls they are trying to save. What's the most unsettling about it though is that the stuff that's happened to them are realistic.
Learning that they are saving girls who died because of similar circumstances that the girl they are trying to save did, makes it even sadder. Like they just relive it over and over again.
It's making me think that there is way more to Ai and Koito's story. My last post might me so off I'll have to crawl under a rock.
The ending was the only point of episode four I found myself happily smiling. I'm loving our little friend group.

I got thoughts.
I believe that this scene is not what it could be interpreted as. I'm not of the impression that there are any inappropriate activities here.
What I think is happening is, Koito's having a hard time at school (being bullied) and she is confiding in the teacher. (Kids got problems and they talk to their teachers, all normal.)
Ai walks in and sees it happening. At this moment I don't believe she thinks anything inappropriate was going on but it does upset her. And I understand why.
Being someone who has been in a similar scenario as a teen with a friend of 10yrs, I understand how it can make you feel like a terrible friend. Realising that someone you considered your closest friend would prefer to confide in another person ( or in my case a complete stranger) makes you question a lot of things about yourself.
Granted there are many reasons why someone would choose not to confide in a close friend but that's something you figure out as time passes.
But I understand why Ai has resentment towards Koito. I get it.
I still want more info though. What really was going on? What did she tell the teacher? What did Ai do after she saw them?
Only one way to find out.

What I understand so far is that they need to protect the girl that comes out of the egg from these things (that I'm hoping I don't dream about)
As well as defeat the manifestation of the person that caused them to die
but they also need to be careful because the injuries they receive in this dream dimension? affects them in reality.
Also who's coming up with these designs because wtf
I'm enjoying it so far though!

This scene had me laughing out so loud, caught me so off guard. I thought she was giving her contact info so they can meet up and work together but no, I couldn't be more wrong.

End of episode 1.
So far it seems like this show is about Ai (the main girl) trying to bring her friend who died, due to school bullying, back to life in her dreams by saving 'egg friends'.
At first I thought it was gonna be a spooky anime but now I know, it's setting up to make me cry because it looks like Ai did something that attributed to her friends' death.
Episode 1 ended on a new character who's also doing the 'egg friend' challenge. Do not know her name yet.

Didn't have any expectations going in but a talking bug, nightmare sequences, blood and violence wouldn't have been my guesses.
