It's the third anniversary of the drop of season five.
Three years ago, May 15, 2020, was a hard time for me. Let's be honest, it was a hard time for everyone. The beginning of the Pandemic was seeing all kinds of scary things that I'm not going to rehash here. I was still going to work but I was one of only a handful of people in a 150,000 square feet building. Even with my wife and roommate at home, I was feeling isolated.
My wife and I were looking forward to the final season of She-Ra to watch together. I'd got into it right about the time season four had dropped and watched through it. I enjoyed it, it was fun. Then, into all of that up above, season five showed up.
Listen, even if Catradora hadn't been confirmed canon, I think I still would have loved the show. Season Five is my favorite season out of all of them because of the tension and narrative that is going on. However, ND Stevenson, that beautiful mad lad, set up the show so that Catradora was the only sensible story beat to go with and at the end, the whole, "Don't you get it? I love you! I always have! So please, just this once... stay!" just floored me. I shouted loud enough my neighbors probably heard me.
In any normal time, I think I would have loved it. In my time of isolation and sadness with the Pandemic and everything else going on, it hit me like a sledgehammer. A happy ending, evil defeated, love expressed and received, and all of it queer. Is it any wonder that three years down the line I'm still turning out fic and happily part of the fandom?
Now, on the third anniversary, raise a cup and remember these things.
We're strong together.
Hope is not a pointless thing.
Love is a powerful force.
So to She-Ra, Crew-Ra, and the fandom, I say thank you. I'm proud to belong here and I'm proud to have all of you here. We won in the end.

My learnings from Trainers Lodge in 2 days:
1. Go for most exciting topics regardless of the hot topic FOUND HERE
2. If you know the hot topic, and you have no very exciting answer options, then go for hot topic option
3. If all of your options are bad, THEN drop an item gift. It changes the topic.
4. Ideally though, try not to gift on first turn or before Attention % begins to drop since it heals the attention meter and is better for keeping the conversation going
5. Attention isn't a strict number, the range is stupidly based on luck. Luck before lv 5, lv 10,etc sucks. I spent 5 interactions to go from Cynthia lv1 to lv4 on day1, and 6 interactions for lv4 to lv11 on day 2. Attention is almost worthless to consider in early game it seems because I've had 91% attention end the interaction.
6. You are only guaranteed 5 topics per interaction, and 2 minimum for a hot topic.
7. If you are going to use the glasses, you will really want to use the feeling it ring with the glasses. Otherwise you may not even receive options for the hot topic to trigger LOL..........
8. Make 1 expedition team for rare cache chests, the other depending on what "skill" trainer you want to improve friendship on. Strikers are red, tech is yellow, support is blue. Purple is rare cache which can get you all sorts of items too, but most importantly its very likely to earn you more interaction in a day. More interaction = more levels. The whole point of the gifts and smaller items are just to increase points on any individual interaction, but you're throwing money to optimize the CHANCE of getting 1-2 more topics instead of just buying 5 more topics through a new conversation. Don't do that, at least at this early stage.
9. AIM FOR LV 9 IN 1 STAT FOR EXPEDITION PARTY. you can't exceed 10 and you will not get the option to cheer for them (raises all lv by 1) if you have 1 Stat already at 10. Base the item exchange potion things on whatever gets you to lv 9,NOT lv 10.
If you're not trying to get through friendship fast and wanna unlock more expedition quicker, try something else maybe idk, I like dopamine I am ADHD lol
