hey im revamping/updating my website! key things..

new layout (most pages)

changed pay method preference on commission sheet (paypal doesnt work)

contact page now up to date

#still making tweaks here and there when i have time...#things im actively working on:#- adding update log to footers #- getting remaining old pages updated to the new layout #things im planning but have no progress on yet:#- magic 8 ball 'game'#- updating comm examples #- adding a toyhouse link in featured to save space on-site #- more blog entries #for blogs i want to keep that being major updates & irl happenings #i also want to do more stuff like. game opinions/reviews. longer posts i cant put on social media. maybe art tutorials?#if anyone has any other recs id love to hear em i just need an excuse to use my site more #site updates

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

#i personally like to not be doing things constantly at all times. it stresses me out #i know there are ppl who thrive on cosntant activity #but me i like to chill out.#and the problem then becomes that i only ACTIVELY remember to do work and Find More Work To Do when im stressed #at the thought that others might want to see me working #if im ever relaxed i just dont look for stuff to do #catch 22 of modern work culture which permeates even ostensibly noncapitalist structures like public libraries #for instance: will it really kill anybody if the books get shelved by me now after a very busy day?#or shelved tomorrow morning by. well probably me since i'll be the one at the desk #not in the slightest #but it was work that wasnt being immediately done by me. therefore it was incorrect behavior #that i failed to identify because my instinct is to relax when not immediately presented with a Situation #this got me labeled as 'having no initiative' by my dad from a very early age #and even as an adult i still feel like im a child with no initiative

I recently bought an art book on Caspar David Friedrich, whose emotional work stuck with me since I first saw it in a museum years ago. Over the course of a few weeks, I read about his life and at the same time did studies/interpretations of many pieces. It was a really enjoyable and fulfilling project; here's a good lot of them together :)

I was happy to see many people enjoyed Friedrich's work+my interpretations while posting them individually. It took way too long, but I FINALLY set up a print shop for some of these + some other pieces for those who expressed interest. Thank you so much!

people treating either dirk or jake as the 'villain' of the relationship fundamentally misunderstand that they were isolated teenagers with social issues who both contributed to the relationship's problems, and neither of them are evil

stacy is sooo interesting because she's in love with house but knows that they will never ever be able to have a healthy, stable, sane relationship because they're too similar so. she finds house-lite instead and marries him and. essentially moves on with her life! and is successful in this because she's a moderately well-adjusted person!

wilson, in contrast, never manages to escape the inevitable, in spite of his best efforts to find a house-lite of his very own, because he's an absolute fucking freak and ends up glued to house to the bitter. bitter end

UNFILTERED posting wooahh #some may b shocked but i do actually read thru most of my posts several times to make sure i didnt accidentally write mein kampfe 2 #recently ive come to the realization that i am in fact not an incredibly chill person #and that the constant paranoia and fear in which i live my life is actually PROBABLY a symptom of severe anxiety #like damn. ive always known that im pretty prone to depression but ive preetty much always been aware of that #my mom is a chronic depressive so i know the symptoms i know the signs i have a pretty good arsenal of healthy coping mechanisms #UNFORTUNATELY mommy's mental health problems did not help her not abuse me as a child #so i ended up being a terribly anxious kid who was constantly being screamed at and told i was overreacting (because i was. because i had #a severe anxiety problem that was making me react irrationally.) to everything all the time #which is you know. it is VERY difficult to deal with a mental health problem when you arent aware you have a problem!#its incredible how much. better. my life has gotten since i figured this out and started actively trying to work out what triggers it #and being able to like. realize 'oookay. there is an Issue here and it needs to be overcome'#instead of just beating on myself constantly for not being able to do things without feeling sick or getting breathing problems!#anyways. trauma dumping in tags is over now!#house md #hilson #greg house #james wilson #stacy warner

My stepmom met Egon for the first time today and while he was a sweet little gentleman she says to me "wow he's hyper, are you sure you should have him?"

And I'm just like :|

Idk it bummed me out. I sink a lot of time and effort into this dog. I take him to a professional trainer, I walk him five times a day (actual structured walks up and down the street, not just let outside into a yard) not even including game time where we play fetch, I take him to a groomer on a six week schedule just to make sure his nails get cut by someone competent, he sleeps indoors and doesn't even need to be crated anymore.

I feel like I'm doing very well as a dog owner thank you very much. You're going to have to forgive the boy for being excited to meet new people.

#im sorry the dog was happy to see you i guess ill put it in the animal shelter #she has this mental image of me as someone very lazy and inactive because Ive gained weight the past few years #as if its impossible to gain weight while still going outside and doing things #like Im not active enough to own a dog because Im fat #Janelle I work out more than you do #I guarantee I put more steps in every day than you #you dont even walk your dog janelle #your dog is eleven years old and has never once even been leash trained
