SR Jamil Viper - Luxe Couture Vignette
"If I let this opportunity pass me by"
Tumblr media
[Fairest City – Crystal Galleria]
Jamil: So, this is the "world's most beautiful plaza", the luxury shopping arcade Crystal Galleria.
Jamil: It's no wonder that the passage is lined with high-brand shops.
Ace: Woah! I totally dig those clothes in that shop's window! I'ma check 'em out.
Jamil: Hey, Ace! Ah man, I'll go and bring him back.
[Grim, Vil, and Azul look exasperated]
Tumblr media
Shop Staff A: Welcome~!
Ace: Woooah! There's a ton of cool-lookin' clothes and accessories! This's so awesome!
Jamil: Hey… Don't just run off on your own. Come on, we're heading back to Vil-senpai.
Ace: It's just a little peek~ I saw somethin' I liked. Like see, like this T-shirt…
Ace: …Urk, it costs 100,000 Madol [1,000 Thaumarks]! That's waaay too expensive for me!
Jamil: That price is fairly standard for a high-brand shop… Hm?
Jamil: This stitching… It's pretty shoddy. Looks like they're using pretty low-quality cotton, too.
Jamil: Strangely, this doesn't look like the sort of thing that would be sold at this price.
Ace: Huh? Aren't T-shirts all made of the same stuff?
Jamil: Sure. But high-brand T-shirts are generally made with high-quality cotton.
Jamil: Better quality cotton is soft and have a nice feel to it.
Jamil: Not only does it not wrinkle easily, but when the cotton is made into T-shirts, it keeps its shape for longer and makes for a nice silhouette.
Jamil: The design of these other shirts isn’t too terrible… But the fabric quality is just too low.
Jamil: There's no way a shop selling at this level can have a store in the Crystal Galleria.
Jamil: Which means… They must have lowered the quality of their material after opening. Did they run into some kind of business issues?
Ace: Hey! That jacket's so rough-lookin' and cool! Excuse me, I'd like to try this on!
Shop Staff B: Ohh my, I'm sorry. I'm afraid that jacket cannot be tried on here.
Jamil: …
Ace: Huh? Really?
Shop Staff B: That's right. That is a really pricey jacket. If it is somehow dirtied or damaged, it would be on the customer to compensate the loss, wouldn't you say?
Jamil: …So essentially, he has to decide to buy it or not without trying it on?
Shop Staff B: Well, I guess that's right.
Jamil: …Would I be allowed to try these slacks on?
Shop Staff A: Unfortunately, that won't be possible either. Sorry.
Jamil: Ah, right. Thought as much.
Ace: C'mon. Isn't that a stupid rule?
Middle-aged Man: Oh nice, this is a pretty nice shop. The prices seem pretty reasonable, too.
Shop Staff B: Oh, what an important looking customer! Welcome~! Is there something in particular you're looking for?
Middle-aged Man: I'm wanting a jacket, see… Think you have something that'll suit me?
Shop Staff A: Well, if that's the case, how about this one? It's one of our most popular designs.
Shop Staff B: I'm sure it will be perfect for you. Please, try it on!
Ace: Wha―!? But when I asked earlier, they said it wasn't allowed to be tried on!!
Shop Staff A: Students like you can't possibly buy something like that, so there's no reason for you to try it on, is there?
Shop Staff B: Please go home before you start to disturb our other customers. We don't have the free time to be dealing with you two.
Ace: Huh...!?
Jamil: …Not only are their products low-quality, but so are the staff's customer service.
Jamil: There's no reason to stick around in a shop like this. Let's go meet up with Vil-senpai and the others.
Tumblr media
[Fairest City – Crystal Galleria]
Ace: Wha was that all about, treatin' us like dirt just 'cause we're students!? That was terrible service. That pissed me off so much!
Ace: First they shoo us out, then they play all buddy-buddy up to the rich-lookin' guy.
Jamil: I bet that since they've been rubbing elbows with the rich and famous while working at that high-brand store…
Jamil: They've completely started to think that they've improved their own social standing.
Jamil: Thinking about those sorts of folks and getting upset about it is a waste of time. Just shake it off.
Jamil: Only the best brands, in both name and reputation, will flourish here at the Crystal Galleria.
Jamil: I can't tell if they had a change in management since opening, or if they've suffered business losses…
Jamil: But from what I saw, I can't imagine that place continuing to be suitable for this passage.
Jamil: Even if we do nothing, I'm sure they'll have no choice but to close down eventually.
Ace: It could ruin a brand's rep if they got kicked out of the Crystal Galleria. That'd feel sooo good to see, though!
Tumblr media
―The next day
Jamil: I really can't relax at all while at Vil-senpai's side. I'll have to relax as much as I can during my personal free time here.
Jamil: Maybe I'll check out the café at the far end of the Crystal Galleria.
Jamil: Hm? This shop looks… I guess I can check it out.
Clerk: Welcome! Please feel free to look around.
Jamil: …This place is completely different than the one yesterday. Now, where's that outfit I saw in the window…?
Jamil: Ah, here it is. I thought it looked like a pretty nice jacket from outside, but the pockets and lining give off a more casual feel.
Jamil: This isn't something I see often. The material is good and the sewing and embroidery is delicately done…
Clerk: Would you like to try it on? Come this way.
Jamil: Thank you.
Jamil: Yeah, the size is good and it fits well. I think this color also actually goes well with the clothes I brought with me, too…
Jamil: …How much is this jacket?
Clerk: That would be 50,000 Madol [500 Thaumarks].
Jamil: I see. Would you allow me to think on it?
Clerk: Of course! And please take your time to look at our other items.
Jamil: A 50,000 Madol jacket… That's a bit of a steep price for me… Hmm…
Jamil: The fabric's quality, the design, and the superb stitching make this very high quality…
Jamil: If I think of those factors, even 50,000 Madol is fairly cheap. Also…
Jamil: I've found this in the Crystal Galleria, of all places. If I let this opportunity pass me by, there won't be another chance to buy something like this.
Jamil: …Excuse me. Could I purchase the jacket I tried on earlier?
Clerk: Absolutely. I'll go fetch a new one for you. Please wait a moment.
Jamil: Sure.
Jamil: …I was able to buy a sensible jacket from a reasonable shop here in the Crystal Galleria.
Jamil: Yeah. I'm definitely satisfied with this. And I'm sure this'll be a great memory.
Tumblr media
[Fairest City – Queen's Palace]
Shop Staff A: KYAAA! VIL-SAMAAA! YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!!
Shop Staff B: SO BEAUTIFUL! I JUST HAVE TO GET A PICTURE OF THAT STUNNING FACE!
Tumblr media
Jamil: Hm? I think I saw those two screaming fans over there yesterday...
Shop Staff A: Oh, look! Do you think those guys walking alongside Vil-sama are models too? Should we ask for an autograph?
Shop Staff B: EXCUSE ME!! PLEASE GIVE US YOUR AUTOGRAPH!!
Jamil: …Hahah! You sure you want my autograph?
Shop Staff B: Absolutely! …Wait, huh? I feel like I've seen him before…
Shop Staff A: Wait! Isn't he that customer that we turned away yesterday…!?
Jamil: I'm honored that a mere student like myself would stir your recollections.
Shop Staff A: Wh-Who would have thought he'd be so famous to walk the tapis rouge…? And he looks so good in that outfit!
Shop Staff B: If we had sold clothing to those boys yesterday, it might've been such good publicity!!
Shop Staff A: H-Hey! Once you're finished here, would you care to come visit our shop once more?
Shop Staff B: We have a collection of garments that would look fabulous on you! Please allow us to design your new look!
Tumblr media
Jamil: I have to decline. Your shop does not have any article of clothing that would suit me.
Jamil: After all, just as you said yesterday, there is no need to try anything on.
Shop Staff A/B: U-Uhhh… So when we said that yesterday, uh…
Jamil: If that is all, perhaps you should head home now? Not only are you bothering others around you…
Jamil: But I also do not have the free time to be dealing with you, either.

Here's my analysis of n25's classpects, I also made art of them, and changed the godtier designs a bit to fit them better, made it a bit more personalized.
Kanade - Sylph of Time
Tumblr media
Sylph is a class that heals with their aspect, or creates the aspect in others.
One of the symbols of the aspect of time is music.
So you probably know where I'm going with this, Kanade wishes to save as much people with her music as possible, no matter the cost, even if it takes a toll on her physical and mental health. She spends as much time as possible on composing, to get more time she consumes energy drinks and eats instant noodles.
Sylphs have natural understanding of their aspect - Kanade is a composing prodigy, at the age of 10 she was making better music than her father, and in area conversations it's revealed that she's a living timer, she knows exactly when the light will turn green because she counts the seconds and never misses.
When she promised Mafuyu to keep composing for her, it made Mafuyu keep trying to look for her true self. So in classpect terms, she literally created more time for her. Her music also brings comfort to thousands of n25 listeners, keeps them going. Kanade is a patient person too, she has no problem in giving Ena more time to work on her art if it means it'll be better, in this case she's the most understanding in n25.
Mafuyu - Maid of Void
Tumblr media
Maid is a class that is burdened by their aspect, and is also 'made' of it. It's often interpreted as a class that creates their aspect for themselves.
The aspect of Void symbolises emptiness, nothingness, the unknown, shadows, secrets, lack of meaning, but also infinite potential and hidden talents. It's an aspect of people lost in the dark.
So the Maid of Void creates nothingness, is made of nothingness, and is burdened by nothingness, which sounds weird but actually fits Mafuyu very much. She literally created empty SEKAI from her true feelings - how cold and empty she feels. She also keeps n25 and her true feelings a secret from her mother. And regarding the burden of nothingness - she is tired of not knowing who she is, she is tired of coldness and emptiness she feels in her chest.
But I don't think Mafuyu hates what void represents, she likes the calm and quiet of empty SEKAI, she cares about her empty aquarium, she does find some comfort in nothingness, it's just the fact that there's too much of it.
But it's not all sad and gloom, Void is hidden potential and talents, which Mafuyu has tons of, to the point it makes Ena jealous.
Ena - Prince of Space
Tumblr media
Prince is someone who works hard and relies on outside validation. Basically Ena.
Space is associated with arts and crafts, it's about creating material stuff you can touch.
I don't have a coherent analysis here, just trust me bro. I really can't explain my thought process here as well as I want, so I'm just leaving you the short classpect description, check out the sources if you wanna know more about the classpect.
Mizuki - Knight of Heart
Tumblr media
Knights are people who put up a front to hide their weaknessses and insecurities. They're also the guardian of their aspect.
Heart is an aspect of identity, Heart players live rich inner lives and are invested in self-discovery, they tend to be dramatic and often struggle with being misunderstood.
Mizuki does everything they can to hide their problems under their bubbly personality, they don't want to be too bothersome to others. When Ena is worried about them, Mizuki feels like they're a bad person. They've been hurt in the past, and struggle with anyone getting too close, essentially, guarding their Heart.
It may be hard to notice at first, but Mizuki is one of the most emotionally intelligent characters in the cast. They did self-discovery, they do self-retrospection, and in turn they understand other people better. They're quick to pick up when something is wrong, or when someone feels down - they see the little things. Mizuki was the first character to notice mafumom's weird behavior too.
Sources:
@classpect-navelgazing - My main source, I recommend checking them out because their theory is different than the classic view of the classpect and is pretty interesting. Very well made too! I think their aspects descriptions are better than the canon ones lmao.
@dahniwitchoflight - I used some of the elements of their theory too - most notably the bits about Maid and Sylph class. Good to check them out if you're interested!
The extended zodiac quiz - It has a lot of problems and I don't consider most of it canon, but the moons description and time's description are fine imo.
These sources are condtradictadory, yes, and while reading them you might notice that I didn't stick to some of the descriptions that much, but doing this little analysis I kept in mind that in the end the classpects are more about the vibe than anything else (but also not really, you see, it's complicated)

for a while since i got into transformers 3 years ago and i loved the franchies instiantly even since i was a kid especially the designs of transformers and Seeing fan arts and fan Designs and fans make thire own continuity made me me want to start learning to draw when im ready but i don't know how to draw cybertronians so do you have any tips and advices for someone who want to learn to draw transformers characters both Traditional & digital art?
Biggest advice I can give is: "Break a character apart into simple components!"
Drawing bots is honestly not that difficult, I find it much easier than people because you can more easily break a character apart into simplified blocks.
When it comes to designing characters it can take a few times to get one you're happy with so doing lots of basic sketches can help. References are always useful too! Every artist uses references.
Here's how I do it (In this case I'm doing an alt design for tfe Nightshade):
(It's not a definitive guide as you kinda have to figure out what works best for you both in terms of technique and art style. I'm aware my art style is definitely not for everyone, as it veers more on the cartoony side. I've had comments about how my faces all look effed up etc XD)
Initial sketch
Tumblr media
Break a bot down into basic shapes, circles and sausage shapes for more rounded characters and boxes for squarer ones. I normally start with the head and draw the rest of the body down from it (torso and arms then legs then any back kibble that might be visible) Think of it like the protoform beneath the armour.
To help with figuring out a pose I'll often use my toys. It can help you visualise where their arms and legs etc go along with whether part of a bot is actually visible from a certain angle. For example in this case:
Tumblr media
(Yes that's my cat chilling in the background)
This can help you to figure out if a certain design can pull a given pose, for example would a bot with kibble on their hips or arms be able to move their legs or arms a certain way. I used POTP Elita one as a reference for my SG Megatron a lot for example as they've got very similar builds. But this is not essential.
(There are mannequin apps on mobiles etc. you can use to help with pose references too, and image searches are always useful for references.)
For more dynamic poses it helps to think about how the character is moving, so add a curve to the torso/spine to add to any implied motion etc.
Details
Tumblr media
Once I'm happy with the basic shape and pose I typically add the armour over the top. Again the head is usually the first bit I do. You can see I got a bit lazy with their left hand and just did a scribble here XD
Inking
Tumblr media
Normally when inking I do the edges of each armour piece first then add any details on afterwards in a finer pen. Generally I'll do one body part at the time eg. fully ink the arm before doing the head etc. Its best to make sure you do parts that are in front first!
Here's the finished picture:
Though it'll need some digital cleaning up at another time.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
As for digital art...
I can't really give much advice on starting a drawing digitally as I never quite got the hang of it (colouring and corrections I do digitally but all my line art is traditional), I need the feedback of a pen in my hand and pressure on the paper to get it right.
These days the Hardware I mainly use is a refurbished huion art tablet (it was about £120 when I bought it) that's probably the cheapest your going to find a graphics tablet with a screen. BUT it's really not essential to get one especially if you're just starting out. Basic graphic tablets without a screen (just a pen and a pad) are much cheaper or you can use a mouse. I used a mouse for ages when I was first starting out.
In terms of software, for colouring and edits on the PC I use GIMP (I've been using it since like 2009 so I'm not really going to change any time soon!). It's freeware software and can do a lot of stuff, but it's user interface isn't the most user friendly especially if you're not familiar with graphics software but there are plenty of tutorials available for it. I'll try to remember to make a post showing how I use that another time :) as I'm not at my computer at the moment.
There are plenty of alternative image manipulation/graphics software to use as well, some free, some free but with ads, and some paid for (either one off payment or subscription). It's best to see what other artists have to say about them though as I've never really used them!

What the actual fuck are they thinking-
Tumblr media
Okay, the caption might seem overblown but... this is not good.
The main LO subreddit has been closed for weeks now. It closed due to the API protests but considering the options in the community poll were to either "stay open indefinitely" or "stay closed until the decision is reversed", there's a tinfoil hat theory going around that the single mod that overlooks that place saw the API protests as an "easy way out", especially considering how hands-off those mods are. By the time the main sub decided to take part in the protests (after the height of the protests were over) it had already been stated by u/spez that they were not going to reverse the decision. Essentially, the LO subreddit is done.
Do you know what's been happening since it closed? Activity in ULO has been skyrocketing, but we've also been seeing a lot more discourse from people who have been forced to stomach the ULO content after having their main community shuttered.
Listen, I've got a lot of issues with the main sub and the things they've done over the past year. There are definitely some really shitty folks in there who have ruined things for those who are just casual readers by just being way too protective of this comic. But that doesn't mean the main sub shouldn't exist. The main sub, as dead as it was by the time it closed, was still an option for people who didn't want blind praise or relentless criticism/shitposting. Though there were people who tried to gatekeep the shit out of the main sub (attempting to make it a "positive vibes only" space) the main sub was never explicitly designed for only praise, and by the time it closed, it was seeing a lot more balance between praise and criticism (to no one's surprise, because criticism has become a lot more mainstream in the LO fandom, simply due to the comic's undeniably tanking). All that said, it made for a nice middle ground. Even I enjoyed going in there and reading people's takes on new episodes every week, whether or not I agreed with them. ULO was not designed to be the only route for discussion concerning LO, it's very specifically run for one specific purpose and that purpose will not line up with those who are now without a space.
Without the main sub, there are people with nowhere to go. Some people casually grin and bear it through ULO, others have gone to /r/LowSodiumLoreOlympus, but considering how dead that sub is also, it's clear the popular opinion is swaying more towards criticism. I can't imagine what it's like to be a community refugee right now.
So what does that leave for those who don't want to use ULO? The Facebook groups, and the Discord. The Facebook groups are probably the most accessible communities - not everyone uses reddit, not everyone knows how to use Discord, but everyone uses Facebook.
So the fact that the Facebook groups aren't going on a small break, but are going on their own 4 month hiatus?
Not only does this further reduce the options for fandom interaction, but this is terrible for the comic. Hiatuses like this can kill long-term retention, and fandom communities are often the best way to keep that retention on some form of life support.
Think of it this way - if I didn't have the ULO community, I probably would have dropped off LO ages ago, cut my losses, moved on. But it's the fact that I have a community to keep in touch with and have fun with that keeps me on this series. This goes the other way as well, into the casual and praise communities - while I'm sure many will still eagerly return in October, for those who are more casual readers, Lore Olympus will essentially be out of sight, out of mind. And that is NOT something you want to happen to a comic that is already losing traction.
I genuinely do not know what Rachel is thinking closing these groups. And yes, I am pointing to Rachel on this decision because she literally runs the official LO Facebook groups. LO going on a mid-season hiatus over the summer when HALF OF HER DEMOGRAPHIC IS HOME FROM SCHOOL is already such a huge risk that will likely kill her numbers; but to go and cut off her official groups from being able to stay connected and talking about the comic during the hiatus, on a platform OCCUPIED BY THE OTHER HALF OF HER DEMOGRAPHIC, LITERALLY ADULT WOMEN ?? What is that supposed to achieve? If she wants to give her mods a break, sure, okay, do that for a few weeks, but four months? Is she so allergic to fans being able to theorize or "figure her out" (because god knows Rachel doesn't like being predictable) or, god forbid, is she worried about giving them too much "freedom" to reflect and discuss the comic during this time without the weekly dopamine distraction hits that they actually stop and realize how shitty the comic is right now?
Tumblr media
All I can say is, as much as we're theorizing that LO is going to be getting a 4th season, I really do hope this midseason hiatus is its last. Whatever life this comic has left is being choked out by Rachel and Webtoons' own hands.
And when it does go out, it better go out with a bang. That's the least it can do for itself and its community at this point.

First bit of graphic design I've done in a year and its a fake logo for a hyperspecific AU... don't know how I didn't see that coming honestly.
Tumblr media
Ok lets talk about why I went with 'Ghost Fighters' outside of the obvious name pun.
The main enemies the boys face would be ghosts. They are composed entirely of the suffering of people who have passed. The few memories that they have are of their worst experiences, but for the most part they just kind of exist as memories of suffering. Generally these spirits move on after a day or two, but if there is a specific strong attachment to a place or person or trauma sometimes they stick around longer. Someone who was murdered would probably not stick around as long as someone who died of old age.
The general appearance is of an emaciated figure with very few features. They usually have 'ribbons' that extend out of the backs of their heads, the ends of these are sharp and used for fighting. The elongated arms and sharpened two fingered hands with a thumb are also used for slashing.
Ghosts seek out similar suffering in their area. They cant move more than 1/2 mile away from where they died, which gives them a bit of room to roam, but if you live in a place where theres a high concentration of murder they have a higher chance of running into each other.
If they DO. It gets BAD and it gets bad FAST. Ghosts can merge together and so your'e dealing with double the ribbons and double the claws. Their roaming spaces merge which mean that they can find more ghosts to merge with. There isn't really a limit on how many ghosts can merge together. When things like natural disasters happen, you can get large ghost conglomerates and FAST.
It is very rare but sometimes the ghosts will haunt people. People who stay in one space the majority of the time are stuck in the same haunting area as a ghost. All they have to do is temporary move away until either a Ghost Fighter destroys the ghost or it dissipates on its own. If they do end up being possessed you essentially have a ghost in free roam. There really isn't bringing someone back from that.
Generally people cant see ghosts. Ghost Fighters can, of course, but there are also very rare 'psychics' who can see ghosts. Most people cant see them until they start to conglomerate in numbers of 20 or 30. By then it is a VERY large ghost mass and needs to be dealt with. The effects of the ghost can be seen (claw marks in cement, dents where they've been thrown into walls) but generally they go un-noticed by the population.
Tumblr media
ALRIGHT. RANDOM FUN DOODLES ASIDE lets talk Ghost Fighter physiology. (it is so so important to me that Roxanne has No Chill whatsoever. SO. IMPORTANT.)
All Ghost Fighters have 'nail polish' with their corresponding color. It used to help them identify each other, but after the rise of nail polish its uhhhhh. not very effective. It's really not nail polish though, thats just the color of the nail now :)
Connection Gems rest on the chest and are embedded into flesh. They allow a Familiar to channel magic through their person! Familiars are a lot like the 'paper flamethrower' metaphor. Lots of power, but unable to use it without destroying themselves. Ghost Fighters allow them a way to express their magic.
EYES. You already know what the fuck it is bro. I don't need to explain myself here yall know me by now but fuck it imma try and find a way to reason it out anyway. Humans aren't really built to contain so much magic, so it shows through in little ways, like shining out of their eyes just a lil bit.
Speaking of which, Ghost Fighters are a little uh. Weird. You know the whole thing with elves? Where they look almost too pretty and the longer you look the stranger it gets? They have that going on. Their hair is always settled just right, their skin is dewy and almost shiny, the light always hits their eyes JUST right. Even bedheads still manage to looks planned and perfect.
SO. When you get a guy like Robbie? Whose attractive to start with but scowls all the time? When he finally DOES smile? Holy Shit. Nobody is prepared for it. Nuclear levels of pretty. Almost hurts to look at. 100 Billion enraptured 30,000 gay / bi awakening.
Tumblr media
More stuff about familiars (Eli in particular. Need to think harder about his specific weirdness), transformation sequences, ultimate attacks, and interpersonal relationships on the way. I just. NEEDED. To get what I have so far out there dude. Brain too full. Door stuck. DOOR STUC K.

My standard headcanon, which I do very much like, is that Elrond and Elros are essentially curse/doom kryptonite because of Luthien mojo, Tuor-blessed-by-Ulmo mojo, etc. But it occurred to me that there could be another possibility, and I don't have time to fully write it, so y'all can run wild with it:
What if, around the time Elrond and Elros have to make the Choice of the Peredhil, they're also told that they have to choose whether to be counted as (half) Noldor or Sindar? (For right now, we'll assume Elros also has to make this choice, even though he's going to be living as a human, because it will affect how he sets up his kingdom and who he can ally with.)
The thing is, ever since they joined up with the Host of the West, they've been confusing the snot out of everybody. They look like Luthien's line. They've been raised by Feanorians for, let's say, the past forty-odd years, and it's in their mannerisms, their clothes, the way they fight. They switch, sometimes apparently at random, between using Earendilion, Nelyafinwion, or Kanafinwion as patronymics. In a camp that is ostensibly all one army, but under the surface is positively rife with different factions, they insist on making friends with people from everywhere.
The Valar are getting confused, too: what exactly are they supposed to do with these two, with their absolute trail mix of heritages?
So Eonwe or whoever finally tells them that they have to choose. Either they can be Sindar and have the friendship of Oropher's people, go by Earendilion (or maybe Elwingion, to be safe) and never speak Quenya or wear the Star of Feanor again, but have the blessing of Luthien...or they can be Noldor, and stay in touch with the people and customs they've lived most of their lives with at the expense of associating with their mother's people. Also, in that case, they'll definitely fall under some kind of doom, but it won't be so bad if they declare themselves as Nolofinwean through Idril, rather than Feanorian by adoption.
Obviously, their first response would be to be stubborn and difficult and rules-lawyering, and not choose at all. And that would be really fun to see. But say they couldn't. Say they had to choose. What then?
Let's say they split the difference. Does Elros choose to be counted as (metaphysically and by origin) Sindar so that his kingdom can thrive, and then quietly keep Elrond and Maglor and (assuming he's survived) Maedhros under his aegis so their doom can't catch up with them? Does Elrond take this on instead, since he's the designated immortal one, and try to find some way to keep in close enough touch with his brother and fathers to pass along some of his luck? How well does this work? What happens to Numenor if its first king is carrying a family curse? What happens to Elrond if he's the cursed one, trying to dodge his way through the successive ages of the world once his brother is gone?
Or let's say they both embrace the Noldor side, just to pull the rug out from under everyone who thinks they'll take this chance to ditch the people who raised them. Presumably it doesn't get as bad as it does for, say, Turin, but how bad does it get? How do they deal with the guilt crises that Maglor and Maedhros absolutely will have over this? How long does Numenor last (or does it fall in exactly the same time and manner as in canon, just with people blaming something different)? Does Rivendell exist at all? What do the Second, Third, Fourth Ages look like now?
Or let's say, for whatever reason you like, that they choose their Sindar side. Maybe because it's a side of themselves that they never got to fully explore, and they don't want to give it up out of hand. Maybe in an attempt to keep the people around them safe. Maybe because they have just a bit of foresight and see that they'll be needed in certain roles in the future and this is the best way. Maybe because Maglor and Maedhros have taken the Silmarils and vanished, and the twins think their adoptive family doesn't want them anyway. What does that look like? How do they reconcile their new lives with their old ones? How many habits do they have to break that they didn't even realize would be looked on with suspicion? How bad is the culture shock, and how long until it wears off?
Assuming they choose, how much do you think they try to fudge it, aiming for a sneaky blend of both? How well does it work? Are the attempts an open, amused secret? Or do they try and fail, over and over again, until they realize that whatever they chose is set into the fabric of reality just as their choices between Man and Elf altered something deep in them?
How will the parent(s) they didn't choose to follow react when, inevitably, they all meet again?

NEW: So I gave Illia a redesign, as her old look was WAY too similar to who is now Illustrix. They shared color schemes and pretty much the same outfit. Since the look fit Illustrix more, I figured it was high time to just give Illia a well deserved outfit update. It even has a bit of significance to it as well, one that I'll elaborate in a bit. But for now, here's her profile:
Illia began as the direct TG'd version of Illustro, but for a while now she's essentially become her own entity. Taking the role of "The Architect", Illia's job boils down to actually making the settings and locations that populate the Multiverse. She's also in a sense become Illustro's little sister, even though to the rest of the Auteurs and especially to the Spectrums (the author's collective names for all the characters they've spawned), she's more like a mother. A bit of an over protective mother, actually. She's rather insecure and introverted, but the other Auteurs have been attempting to get her out her shell, and while they're baby steps for now, they are at least making a bit of progress.
Illia's Realms of Influence involve:
-Color: Yellow
-Theme: Outer Space, astronomy and just celestial stuff in general, both scientific and mystical.
-Realm of Creativity: Settings and Backgrounds
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character Break Down:
"Full Name": Illiana "Illia" Andromedia Orozco-Janeiro
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual. Most of the time, Illia is the one being hit on though, and she basically gets super shy. She does seem to open a up a bit more towards fellow girls though. Guys make her blush super hard.
Age: 22
Birthday: July 17th
Ethnicity: Mexican, specifically from the Yucatan.
Eye Color: Chocolate Brown.
Hair Color: Dark dark...greenish. It basically looks black though.
Height: 5'4''
Weight: 177lbs
Cup Size: DD Cup, which already look large, but her small frame makes it even more noticeable.
Other Features: Her hair is almost always permanently messy. She's tried to keep it under control, but...it rarely works. Her ear tails (the side burns) naturally have those paintbrush like shape along with the color on them. They actually change to match the color her brush is currently on in real time. She has naturally sad looking eyes, adding to her overall unintentionally cute appearance. She can actually use the little paintbrush charm on her choker combined with the painter palette on her headband as a way to cycle through modes of the brush in a faster way than normal.
Overall Attitude: She is is timid to an almost absurd degree. Nobody is really quite sure exactly what happened to her to make her like this, but the other Authors don't judge. Focusing on the more positive aspects of her personality though, she's just as fiercely protective as Illustro when it comes to people she likes. She's also no slouch when it comes to taking action. In a way, Illia's actually rather brave, as even though she's almost always scared, she doesn't let it get in the way of doing what needs to be done. Her cautiousness also allows her to think clearly and she's a lot better and making plans than the other Authors are. She's also a lot better when it comes to settings and environments on the painting side of their abilities, while Illustro is more character design. She's something of a people pleaser, so sometimes it's a bit easy to trick her into doing something she would rather not do...like dressing up in certain outfits. However, she's super receptive to affectionate gestures, so she'll always appreciate hugs, head pats, kind words, and so on. She's also very motherly, and treats the Spectrum as if they were her own children. This unfortunately means that she's very gung-ho about helping them out and pulling deus-ex machina shenanigans if she feels like they're in danger, something that's frowned upon by the Author's in general.
Problems: Besides the things I mentioned above, when she gets stressed, she tends to blow it out of proportion and hyperventilate. As you can see by her figure and her rather...soft and pudgy belly, she's also a bit of a big eater. She's also kind of terrible when it comes to keeping secrets. She also gets very attached to all the drawn characters, which makes her want to get involved and interfere with their issues most of time. This tends to cause even more problems due to certain issues revolving around manipulating the world to benefit them.
Phobias: I think it'd be easier to list what she isn't afraid of. And yet, she's not afraid of heights like Illustro is.
Style and Mannerisms: Like how Illustro is super chill on the outside and stressed on the inside, Illia is...both stressed outside AND inside. She tends to stand in meek poses, usually with her head tilted down out of force of habit. She's really bad when it comes to looking people in the eyes. She can sometimes be seen playing with strands of her hair, twirling it in her fingers. Or if she's sitting, messing with the bows on her stocking. She doesn't notice it, but when she uses the brush as a melee weapon, her movements are a lot more dance like and fluid. She's actually quite the natural at wielding it, a bit more than Illustro is. Just like Illustro, she's very musically minded, and will hum any song that's currently stuck in her head, no matter the situation she's in. She gets red and embarrassed if she's poked and told how soft she is, which makes people want to do it all the time.
Relationships: Rumor has it that she's actually in a relationship with a certain robot girl...or is it the guy who created her who she's with? Either way, when asked about it, Illia predictably blushes and refuses to speak. Some people swear they've seen her dressed up in a scantily clad outfit as a gift for another person...something related to cats?
Likes: Like mentioned before, she's really receptive to being treated well. She likes being hugged and other affectionate gestures. Besides that, she's really into traveling, especially at night. She's a big fan of the rain, especially heavy downpours while she watches from inside a safe place. Loves exploring cities where they have districts dedicated to being miniature versions of other cultures, like Chinatown or Little Italy's. She's also got quite a sophisticated palette, although her eating habits don't immediately tick you off on this.
Moral Alignment: Neutral Good.
Powers: Gaia's Canvas has reality warping powers, and is capable of bringing anything and everything into existence...when paired with its counterpart. Besides that, it can also work as numerous types of weapons, from shooting out globs of paint like an RPG to being wielded with the power of a Warhammer. It can even act as transportation, either as a broomstick or by spinning the fibers of the brush like a helicopter.
Weaknesses: She's just a human. Take away the brush and she's pretty useless in a fight against super powered enemies.
Favorites:
Color: Aqua, Teal, Mint Green
Animal: Moths, Octopi, Crabs, Pretty much all Dogs, and Sloths.
Places: High vantage points.
Food: She really likes cheese. Pretty much any dairy product, really.
Media: Podcasts, MP3's, and Vintage Audio Systems.
Songs Associated with Her:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um7pMg… ("Chained to The Rhythm" by Katy Perry)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM1YMe… ("When Can I See You Again" by Owl City)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=B03uWS… ("World 3" by Super Mario Galaxy 2)
Possible Voice Actress:
-Stephanie Sheh. Just the right amount of cute and shy to perfectly pull off Illia.
-possibly Tia Ballard

[Review] Avatar The Last Airbender: Bobble Battles (PC)
Tumblr media
A budget licensed RTS, it's about what you'd expect.
Frima Studio is a successful French Canadian developer: over the years they've done lots of casual, Flash, and mobile games, as well as some console stuff. I just found out they're working on a Risk of Rain spinoff currently. But one of their first jobs was making a tie-in Avatar strategy game in 2007, and they did it competently enough.
Based on Books 1 and 2 of the show, Bobble Battles takes its name from the "bobblehead" art style, better known as chibi or super deformed, which was employed in a few other spinoff projects like animated shorts, comics, and video games. It's an appealing look and helps a bit with readability of the characters when you're zoomed out (although character design could have differentiated common unit types a lot more), but you can't appreciate the look too well unless you're zoomed in, in which case the game is much less playable.
Tumblr media
As a real-time strategy game in the vein of your Warcrafts and Dune 2s, it's been simplified and streamlined to the nth degree. There's only one resource, no upgrading, a handful of unit types that act identically between factions, and a basic control scheme. The limited nature of the controls hurt it as moving between the arrow keys to shift your view and the numbers for control groups is uncomfortable. Those are pretty much your only functions by the way; there's no attack-move or other specialised move commands, although hero units do have more flashy attacks.
I'm no RTS die-hard but even having played a bit of Starcraft and Age of Empires back in the day I couldn't help but find Bobble Battles wanting in gameplay. There's no rally points, few hotkeys, and just getting your units to do anything is a hassle. Selecting control groups instantly shifts the camera over to them, there's always a pause before they execute your commands, and they need to be heavily micromanaged to attack targets. Pathfinding in narrow spaces can be atrocious, with your guys often milling around or getting stuck on walls when you're on a city-based level. On the whole there's a lot of pain points in the micro scale, and little need for macromanagement at all. I understand the desire to create a game in this genre for younger audiences, but it's not just dumbed down, it feels shonky and shallow.
Tumblr media
The game is structured in three campaigns. The first two more or less cover the heroes' journey through the first two seasons of the show, while the third has you playing as the Fire Nation trying to stop them. After completing these you unlock the Timeline mode, which rearranges the scenarios into chronological order... this seems superfluous. The missions do try to have some variety between small-scale hero exploration and production maps and to give you different kinds of objectives. They do a decent job at this, although the scope never gets very big. The most that will ever be demanded of you is juggling three control groups to defend three settlements that are pretty close together, but again this is baby's first RTS so I don't knock it for lacking difficulty.
As an Avatar game, it's kind of cool seeing events from the show reinterpreted into a new genre. You rarely had squads of people running around battling in the series, so there's some novelty to that. The characters having unique abilities is fun, and I got a kick out of seeing the designs of building and units between the nations. There's even one unique creature here, the goat-like mount that Water Tribe riders use. [EDIT: This beast does actually appear briefly in the North Pole episodes.] Only covering two-thirds of the show is a bit of a letdown, although to be fair it's an unavoidable consequence of the passage of time and when the game was commissioned. Can't argue with the immutable laws of time and space.
Tumblr media
Bobble Battles is essentially fine. It works. There's even some creativity in how it's interpreting the source material and in the scenarios, but by attempting to simplify what is generally a complex genre, I think they went too far and actually hurt the playability. And that's before mentioning the dodgy behaviour of your units. It gets points for its uniqueness within the sphere of Avatar games, but it's hard to recommend except for completionists like me, and they would just play it anyway so it doesn't matter what I say about it!

Dragon IK AU:
Im glad that you like the idea, it has been brewing in my head for a good while now. About Bailu, you dont need to know about her, what i meant is Bailu’s design is what i imagine Ik would look like with visible dragon traits. Just search up Bailu in google and see her design, it would somewhat fit Ik.
Now i originally imagine her to be a small bby dragon when she goes full dragon but i like the idea of Ik being able to be a BIG and little dragon because it would hilarious. Like the small human you’re trying to kill is suddenly a huge ass dragon, easily beat you up, then after beating you up, become a small little baby dragon. (Also do you know that small dragon zhongli merch plush? Yeah that’s small bby dragon Ik)
Now that you mention her powers that comes with being a chinese dragon, i feel like Levi would be the most helpful on trying to understand it. I dont think i mention this but Ik doesnt know she was half human and half dragon at all. All her life, she thought she was fully human, now she is actually a dragon with all these cool powers. But not everything comes easy the first time. Ik might have some crisis with the revelation she is a dragon (maybe??? I mean being an actual dragon that your home country worship isnt a small revelation). With Levi’s connection to the sea and such and also having Lotan, Levi can help Ik control her powers and Lotan can help with her getting used to her new form since hydra and chinese dragon are somewhat similar. (Also about the wish granting magic idea, maybe it’s best that Ik doesnt have that because Mammon would definitely use it to get more grimm or pay off his debts)
And about the god thing, wouldnt that make Ik a demigod? She’s half human from Zhao and half dragon from her mom, that’s essentially what a demigod is right? But tbh, i just see it like a half adeptus thing with Ganyu and Yanfei. Also the celestial realm… idk how they would feel with a demigod(?) being in devildom but what i do know it wouldnt be a pleasant one
What do you personally think the brothers feel about Ik being a dragon?
- 🐧 Anon
ah, gotcha! i'm always a sucker for this specific kind of dragon horn, so definitely a fan of this design (though not sure how to feel about the fact that bailu apparently isn't a child and just looks like that)
i think levi would definitely be ik's main guide for figuring out her new dragon abilities! they'd go out on a trip to the sea and just spend ages playing around with the water (though ik's control isn't great, so sometimes she'll accidentally start summoning a tsunami and levi has to jump in to get things under control)
i definitely wouldn't use the god aspect of chinese in a literal sense, but the celestial realm hearing of a 'functional demigod' appearing in the devildom would probably be cause for alarm. unlike the angel hybrid au though, they've got no claim to her custody despite the divine heritage, so i guess they'd just have to stew in it until they think of something...
as for the brothers, levi of course is super hyped!! mammon is similarly so ("hell yeah we can go flying together now!!!"), while satan is reassessing his animal tier list because ik's little dragon form might actually be even cuter than a cat. asmo's delighted by both big and little forms, because the former is magnificent and he loves getting to help shine her scales, and of course the latter is adorable
belphie probably tries to get ik to conjure up storms so that they'll cancel school. he basically uses her little dragon form as a hot water bottle, and meanwhile beel likes getting flown about when she's in Big form because he's normally the one doing the carrying, so this is a breath of fresh air!
lucifer's probably the only one who even considers the celestial realm's thoughts on this, but ultimately he's like "who gives a shit what they think" and starts a little diary to keep track of ik's growth (which he's very proud of)

here's my ranking of every corvette model purely on aesthetics, from C1 to C8
C1
Tumblr media
Obviously, it's old. It looks old. There's essentially zero hard lines, as every piece of it is curved and connects smoothly without any angles. You can see the front-engine design that pushes the cabin towards the rear, which would be the defining visual feature imo for the corvette line as time goes on. Kind of timeless tho.
C2
Tumblr media
This thing looks space age as fuck. I don't think I would fit in that cabin at 6'2", but they've leaned even harder on pushing the seats back about as far as they could go and giving what looks like fully half of the body, the front half, over to the engine. They've also kept a lot of the swoopiness and smoothness in the design, but you can start to see some hard lines on the side panel towards the front wheel, and an actual honest-to-god angle on the A pillar. I feel like this aged worse than the C1, but that's mostly my personal preference.
C3
Tumblr media
Now we're fuckin talking !!! To me, this is some top shelf corvette design. The cabin is pushed back and the swoops are still present over top of the wheel wells, but they've gone for a more aggressive and angular front bumper design and some choice chrome.
C4
Tumblr media
Flopp....to me, this is like the catfish camaro; it's kind of neat, but it looks nothing like the rest of the generations. This is like, there's no swoops. Or there is, but it's in the wrong places. They've taken out that gorgeous grille up front and hidden the vents on the side. I don't like it very much.
C5
Tumblr media
LETS GOOOOOOO i love this one. Maybe I'm biased cuz this is the model I grew up seeing, but they brought back the smooth flowing curves and reimagined that side panel line from the C2. I wish it was just a touch more angular on the front bumper, maybe even borrowing elements from the C4 design (but ideally C3), but to me this is a huge return to form after the C4 flop. I know it looks kind of weird honestly and it's probably not for everyone, but I like it.
C6
Tumblr media
This is textbook, truly stunning, a masterclass in modern corvette design. They dialed it back a bit from the frankly offensive curvature (even though...I love it...I know it's too much for most people) of the C5, and re-incorporated a bigass intake to the front. They've kept the C2, C3, and C4 elements I love and combined them with an evolved C5 chassis to create what is, in my opinion, the greatest 'vette look since the iconic C3.
C7
Tumblr media
Ok so bad take maybe but to me the C7 is where we're starting to slip. It looks good, don't get me wrong -- it's angular, it's sharp, it looks mean and fast and all the things you want from an expensive car. But it's starting to look less like a Corvette, to me. There's still the front engine position, but look how much the cabin has crawled forward since the C2. Since even the C5. And where's the swoopies? The curves? This looks kind of like if a Camaro and a Ferrari had a baby -- which is kind of distinctly far from what a Corvette should look like. To me.
C8
Tumblr media
And there is it...the C8.
Let me tell you a story. My grandfather, may he rest in peace, owned a C3. It was in brown, which is kind of the worst color, but a beautiful machine nonetheless. And my father, his son, drove it with startling regularity. Can you blame him? If I'd had access to a Corvette in my teen years I would have driven it just to drive it! He loved it so much that he totaled it, and I never got to see it in my own lifetime.
I say all this to say: my dad knows what a Corvette looks like. He spent a huge chunk of time in his formative years driving one. Through my childhood he would often tell me stories, mostly the one of him totaling it, of him driving it. And the first time he saw this car, he asked me what it was.
BECAUSE IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A CORVETTE.
The swoops; the long nose; the engine in front of the driver -- even the side vents have been repurposed as additional air intake and shoved way back! If you squint, it kind of resembles the C7. But that's cuz they're lying: that classic bubble cockpit doesn't cover just the seats, but also the engine. This isn't an FR car. This thing looks practically indistinguishable from anything coming out of Maranello.
They've said the C9 is going to be built on the same base as the C8, which is pretty disheartening. I hope once the line switches over to being electric, they're able to make it look more like it's supposed to.

Scrolled thru your page and couldn't find anything on your spider verse OC please infodump
AH sorry for the late response!!! There is a post from ages ago but I will GLADLY infodump again >:)
(also some stuff may be different from actual Spiderman canon but shh)
(also also this is a really long post I'm so sorry-)
So basically, their name is Charlie and they use they/them pronouns. They're 17 I think? Might change. But essentially they've suffered with severe social anxiety and general anxiety since they were a child, causing them to be pulled out of school early and homeschooled, and they literally never leave the house.
But when they were around 7, a new family moved into the neighbourhood - the Parker's. Which of course came with Peter Parker, another troubled child mourning his parents and being bullied at school. Charlie's parents hit it off with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and so they decide to get the children to meet once realising they share an interest - science.
The two befriend each other surprisingly quick, and suddenly they're almost inseperable. Every afternoond evening Pete's at Charlie's house, doing experiments in their room, and May and Ben join them for dinner enough times. It's like a big, loving family. Peter even helps somewhat with Charlie's anxiety - he held their hand the entirety of the first time they all went for a walk together. It wasn't for long and Charlie hid their face a lot, but it was progress.
Of course the first person Peter tells about his spider-powers is Charlie. They freak out, both good and bad, but overall decide that the two can design some epic tech for Spider-Man. Because, hey, Charlie's bedroom is basically a lab anyway, and Petsr can sneak supplies from his school (which isn't the most heroic thing to do but if it works, it works!)
Uncle Ben's death hits everyone hard, but not as hard as it hits Peter. All of a sudden Spider-Man isn't a fun, helpful thing - lives are at risk, he has to protect people he loves. He's got great power. We all know the rest of the phrase.
But Charlie's there to share that responsibility! They're the man-in-the-chair, helping out whenever they can, planning routes, designing tech and software. Constantly making sure their best friend is okay. And when Peter starts to hang out with MJ and Harry from his school, no biggie! Charlie's on-call 24/7 just in case. They're even going outside more, and there are plans in place for them to meet Harry.
Then Peter dies.
It should've been impossible, really - the amount of armour and tech and everything. There was no Achilles heel, no secret weakness. But, behind it all, Peter's still a teenager, a human. Even with the spider-powers and enhancements.
It destroys Charlie. Erases all their progress, now they won't even leave their room. And, of course, the logical thing to do is for them to continue what Peter couldn't, to use their technology and become Spider-Man.
But they can't.
They won't.
(OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO LONG AND BORDERLINE TURNED FIC-Y I'M SO SORRY DHSBFJEBFIEBFIEN)

DotS Character Facts— Twyla
Tumblr media
Twyla, the protagonist of Dreams of the Stars, and quite the enigma!
She's a spirited young girl with a soft voice, but plenty of sass underneath her usually calm demeanor. She's introverted and a bit shy at first, but she does her best to be friendly towards others. The girl's got absolute audacity and has no qualms questioning adults and their logic. She herself thinks critically, and lacks a filter for her thoughts most of the time.
At first, Twyla's really adverse to making new friends due to a sad experience with her previous caretaker and knight-master, Poppeh, but in recent times has begun warming up to it again. Most notably thanks to Fintan Blon'dee, who's now her best friend. He's essentially her extrovert pal, and was absolutely adopted by him. He's just a year older than her at 12!
Twyla's incredibly loyal to those who earn her trust, and will go to great means to ensure their safety, despite being an 11-year-old Puff child.
There's not much known about her past, but what is certain are some intriguing details:
Twyla has a striking resemblance to a certain someone from Meta Knight's past. This has caused him to re-spark an old obsession, going back to searching high and low for answers regarding that person's fate.
She has strange abilities for a Dream Puffball, able to manipulate her own Ability in unusual ways. Nevertheless a strange marking on her right paw which appears to be key for a certain power of hers: something Meta Knight coined as "Rebound", due to its similar nature to Copy. One would first think it's strange that Meta Knight knows so much about Rebound, but then again, he's the guy who knows everything anyhow, so it's really no surprise.
Her acid green eyes are terrifying to see in the dark, especially since she's at the age where they glow pretty brightly at night.
Twyla was raised on stories of the Star Warriors, and so is quite a fan of a few. However Poppeh was bad at remembering most names, so he had his own titles for these intrepid heroes. This has left Twyla to discover her greatest heroes through their histories rather than their names.
Twyla has a 'pet' ethereal butterfly, which has been her companion since she was an infant. She calls it by the name "Pops", among other nicknames.
Her starship, when in good condition, is devastatingly fast and nimble. It's designed to cloak itself entirely, and is chock full of tricks and traps for possible assailants. The ship's objective has always been to protect its pilot, so this made rescuing Twyla next to impossible due to its evasive protocols. However, there was one person who almost captured the ship many, many years ago...
Twyla was never taught how to swim. However, she's buoyant, and floats like a confused little birdie. Now that she's under the care of Rovy, Alphonse, and their pal Pepper, she might get the chance to learn!
She's still learning a lot about her own people, and is very excited to meet new Puffs! During her travels, she had never met one of her kind due to their scarcity. However, on Popstar, they've amassed in abundance! She's become fast friends with Kirby especially, alongside some other oddball Lost Stars (orphan Puffs) under Lillian's care.
Twyla's fur is very soft like kitten fur, but she's also is kinda touchy about being hugged or held by people she doesn't know.
Despite having trust issues, she's still learning about stranger danger, and lacks the social skills to tell a good person from bad due to her own lack of socialization in her earlier years.
Her ship's cockpit is loaded with merch for all kinds of Star Warriors, most importantly Captain Zeelo Zeidric. Safe to say she's a HUGE fan of Captain Zeidric!
There is more to discover about this little Puff in Dreams of the Stars... and whom she once belonged to.

Winter Reading Picks, 2023: Top 4 Astrology Books; Fun Non-Fiction and Instructional Essentials
All of these books are ★★★★★.
This one is best for those who enjoy historical non-fiction, psychology and quizes.
"Archetypes of the Zodiac", by Kathleen Burt
Take a deeper look at astrology as it relates to Jungian Archetypes. By understanding myths and archetypes, you can attain the potential of your birth chart―your life map―and gain conscious control of the instincts that rule you. You can change the instinctual patterns that seem to have you locked in, and become healthier and more productive. Here we have the archetypal journeys of each sign: Aries' search for a separate identity, Taurus' quest for value and meaning, Gemini's search for variety. The technique in this book is based on the integration of the esoteric rulers of the signs with their opposites. This technique helps you understand your instinctual behavior, enhance your creativity, and modify the negative energies in your horoscope.
This cool, 576 page read is a really fun book with quizes at the end of each chapter, so you can see how each sign is expressing in your chart. This is ideal for those for whom Astrology is a secondary interest, and does not include instructions for how to create your own chart. I recommend learning at least a bit about your Sun, Moon and Rising signs first.
We're living in historical times, as this next book is a new cosmology added to Astrology. Ideal for anyone, including those with a casual to serious interest in the sciences.
"Venus Star Rising", by Arielle Gutman
Discovering the Star of Venus. One of the primary images of Venus that has been handed down to us through the ages from mythology is that she is the goddess embodying love, beauty, harmony and peace. Actually, she brings this to us through her lineage: the gods Harmonia and Eros were her offspring. But, is this a myth? In fact, science shows us the myth is real, and in Venus Star Rising, Arielle Guttman weaves together the fabric of mythology (which includes astrology) with science (astronomy, geometry, mathematics) to produce the evidence that we have all come to know and honor about Venus: harmony, beauty, love and passion are all indeed her products. Arielle further concludes that if we are in sync with Venus, we too are subject to these same bountiful gifts. Further, we are able to attract those delightful and joyful energies to us, as well. In Arielle’s 4+ decades as an astrologer, she acknowledges that these are the things that most people are seeking in their lives.
These next two books really stand out as unique Astrology reads when compared to those published in the last 20 years. Most recent Astrology books are focused on being short and sounding "cool", to appeal to masses of people who have been taught from birth that thinking and feeling "too much" is uncool, or, ironically to the rest of us, stupid. They've also been trained by the media to consume, consume, consume, everything as fast as possible, causing short attention spans.
As a result, accurate information is often now traded for stereotypes and misconceptions.
"Astrology: Understanding the Birth Chart", by Kevin Burk
In Understanding the Birth Chart , Kevin Burk takes you step-by-step from the core basics to the finer complexities of chart interpretation while avoiding sidetracks into obscure techniques and fuzzy thinking. As a teacher, Burk also understands that a real grasp of the subject entails more than just learning the techniques-it also involves grasping the underlying principles that make those techniques valid. Understanding the Birth Chart is designed to be useful to all students of astrology, from beginners to more advanced practitioners, and will help you develop an integrated, synthesized approach to understanding the birth chart. You will discover how classical astrology can enrich your understanding of the planets, signs, and houses. You will explore the meaning of the Lunar Nodes, eclipses, the angles, retrograde planets, and aspect patterns. You will also learn how to identify key themes in the chart, and how to relate the different aspects and elements together to gain a holistic understanding of the birth chart-and of the individual. An up-to-date listing (as of 2001) of astrological organizations and software programs is included that offers a wealth of resources for any astrologer. In short, this is a well-designed course that provides a solid foundation for anyone who is interested in practicing astrology quickly and with confidence. While many books at this level simply give you a set of techniques and ready-made interpretations, this book will give you a deeper grasp of an art and science that has its expression in the world around us, but its roots in the invisible world of primal origins.
Unlike that still widely sold (why?) cringe-fest, "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" (I've never heard such a pretentious sounding type of title), by Joanna Martine Woolfolk, Kevin Burk's "Astrology: Understanding the Birth Chart" really is a comprehensive guide to drawing up or having drawn up your own chart, and an easy to understand overview of Astrology for all. It stands the test of time. Joanna Martine Woolfolk's book has strange and condescending, yet I suppose "trendy" instructions such as rubbing a Virgos belly to get them in the mood for sex, is littered with stereotypes and yet contradictions when she preaches not to use stereotypes, and her tables are drawn up incorrectly according to many veteran Astrologers.
If interested in going deeply into the spirituality of Astrology, this book has the proper title; it really is a classic.
"Astrology, A Cosmic Science: The Classic Work on Spiritual Astrology", By Isabel Hickey
This handy reference book provides a strong foundation for the beginner, as well as new insights and self-knowledge for more advanced astrology students. Isabel Hickey’s emphasis on the deeper, more metaphysical aspects of astrology’s mysteries has resulted in continuous word-of-mouth recommendation by enthused readers. With a Foreword by internationally renowned author of eight popular books on modern astrology, Stephen Arroyo. Isabel Hickey was indisputably one of the most important pioneers of spiritual astrology in the modern era. One of the most influential astrologers of her time, many of the next generation's most insightful and creative practitioners acknowledged her strong influence.

I really love being on Everskies, so I wanted to share a few of the outfits I made. I have back stories on a few of them, so I'll put them in order of "it's just cute to me uwu" to "I designed a character I created 🗿" (also, it's earliest to most recent)
Tumblr media
I was playing around with the face on this one and eventually made this. I had been a little obsessed with the yandere troupe at that point. So she does have the vibe of "I found you love~<3"
Tumblr media
Randomly made, but after I made it I wanted to come up with some kind of Renaissance, medival ages, 1800 horror story or something.
I need to get an idea for this 😩
Tumblr media
This one is more or less the same as the first one, but more like the story of the smiling woman. It was just kind of cute and uncanny.
From various:
Tumblr media
This is a beautiful Mama who's been in my head since I was a kid. I finally get to see her made beautifully and not drawn by me 🤡
Her name is Mana and she's the Queen of the Clouds and Qydians (my made up species). Also, also, I really envisioned her to be wearing a sweater, it just seemed cozy to hug her and we all know how soft a good cardigan is.
From Manifested Malevolence:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This woman right here has no name, but has her entire plot developed 🗿. I suck ass at making names so if you enjoyed the post, drop a name for... Pretty much all of them lol.
She's a villain I have in this story where my MC (which is almost always a girl named Cassie) can manifest her thoughts into reality. Not like she can conjure an object, but if she thinks something will happen it manifests and actually happens. If I explain who she is exactly it'll spoil her role in the story, so I'll leave it there.
She uses her good looks to trick men and the rest is up to her abilities.
The 2nd image is how she appears when manifesting. I was just playing around one day and created the prettiest villain I've ever thought of.
Luck was on my side.
Tumblr media
This little cutie patootie is another part of the story little miss no name before her is from. Ig this is a spoiler, but this happens within the first 4 chapters, so it's not really a spoiler. No one's gonna ever read your shit so calm down.
Anyways, she is a manifested being named Mika (who is also based on a stuffed rabbit I had as a kid with the same name). She shows up and explains to Cassie what her ability is and her main goal is to help her however she needs it.
Mika is suppose to be very childish and gives me the egirl, overly (and borderline cringey) cute girl, but I can never see my baby as cringe 💞
From normalities:
Tumblr media
I was in the middle of writing a story when I thought of this random spin off idea. So, I made her and then wrote it.
Essentially, this Cassie is a super shy girl with a popular boyfriend. While he's at a party, his friends force ask him to get something they've forgotten. He's upset, but agrees to get it, but he wants some company while he goes to get it and she (up there) offers to get it for him since she's closer.
Going to the dorm she needs to, she walks in on some gathering in the room and everyone thinks she's a huge weirdo for looking so scared just walking into a room. She gets what her bf needed and goes to give it to him. She was so anxious by her encounter at the dorm that she ends up looking like she's about to cry and her bf decides to ditch his friends to comfort her 😀
The end.
Thanks for Reading~🍂

The Pokemon fandom is ridiculously huge, and it often takes years for people to fall into niche circles and for those fans to start posting on their blogs, until then one is left poking around dead blogs trying to poke some life back into them bc at one point the OP cared about this topic and turns out, they still do! They just gave up from the silence of the void. It's also majorly teenagers everywhere. Very talented artists, great ideas, but Dear Lord Are They Opinionated. And nobody wants to feel shamed by a bunch of teenagers bc they're VERY strict on how someone should read characters and their relationships or darker topics/the villains/taxes (which are literally IN the game and spin-off series themselves) I mentioned taxes there bc I for the life of me cannot find that post talking about the men in black suit trying to collect taxes in ORAS. (I love ORAS it's so fun there is SO much going on. I'm very insane about Pokemon Lore across the first 3 Gen they're my playground. It all connects together, ALL OF IT. NPC dialogue my beloved.) All this to say, I am very happy to see someone just doing their thing online. I literally could care less what someone does but some people will burn you at the stake over it. Sending a bouquet of flowers to you and all your awesome mutuals. You've got an ally and future fan of your AU here for sure.
This unfortunately has been an ongoing issue, and not just in the Pokémon fandom either.
Many artists and writers have stated they practically have to beg for positive feedback on the works they've poured all their passion into, and more people have become entirely too comfortable being entitled and rude to creators.
I write the stories I want to read first and foremost, I am my target audience, but it truly can be disheartening when you've poured a countless amount of time and effort into an idea, and then receive either silence (likes are silence) or hatred.
And it is my deepest regret to inform you that it isn't just teenagers who are behaving this way.
I received harassment not long ago from someone in their twenties for shipping Volo with an aged up Akari. They demanded I pair him with a reader insert or OC instead, as though the protagonists aren't essentially player inserts or OCs with a preset design.
I refused to entertain their nonsense, they threw an even bigger tantrum in response, then I blocked them and happily continued to post about Wieldershipping.
On a lighter note, I was just speaking to a friend of mine the other day about Hikari/Akari being an adult woman in Sisterhood ("She does her Pokémon taxes"), and then we were saying how terrible it would be if not even the world of Pokémon were free from taxes.
It's been a few years since I've played ORAS, so the men in black demanding tax money slipped my mind. Now that it's been mentioned though, I have a vague memory of it being rent money they were trying to collect instead?
But thank you so much Talkative and Mysterious Anon for showing such interest in my ideas! I have plenty more.
