But to answer your question, yes!

(This takes place after Sage helps Gale out of the portal)

Sage realizes it almost immediately. Their first thought is he looks so familiar, and then as soon as he introduces himself as Gale of Waterdeep, Sage knows. It takes a lot for them to hold back information they already know about him, and eventually they slip up in front of Shadowheart.

(This takes place during Gale’s Act 2 romance scene)

It takes Gale longer. Sage was under a glamour charm when the two of them were friends, so while their name is the same, their face is not. He doesn’t understand why he’s so drawn to Sage, why he feels like he’s known them for years and not just a few weeks. Then Sage let’s some information slip, and Gale realizes it immediately. He feels dumb he didn’t see it before, but then he is so incredibly elated.

So I've started reading idw and because of this blog I now get really excited whenever I see Cosmos and Soundwave interact (and I get it. they're so cute <3) thank you for enlightening me 🙏

I wish idw did more for cosmos but honestly it’s a lot more than what we usually get so I’m happy anyways. Cosmos soundwave interaction is sort of limited but every time they talk it’s like a punch in the gut. THEYRE IN LOVEEE DONT YOU GET IT THEYRE IN LOVVVEEEE

But in all honesty I really really like how they did soundwave and cosmos interaction in idw because cosmos is such a take no shit kinda guy and will tell soundwave hes a fucking idiot if need be. But he always gives soundwave a chance to learn from his fuck ups. Cosmos honest to god is such a good and steady influence on soundwave It’s so warm to me. And the way soundwave happily gave cosmos a place to belong—not just as a grunt but as a key player in soundwave’s station—means so much to me. I wish we had more cosmos and cassettes interaction (cosmos and ravage interaction when) but again, what we got is still so nice.
