Thinking about how Zuko aligns Aang with Azula ("You're like my sister. Everything always came easy to her") and then in his first real chance to bond with Aang, the kid is flunking firebending hard and is actively scared of it, requiring Zuko to give him some nice encouragement ("You can do it. You're a talented kid")
love it when a character that's hard to read intuitively for you has like a dedicated fandom interpreter who can just glance at their blank face in a panel and then give you a 3k word essay on their innermost thoughts & desires & fears and neatly tie it back into the themes & whatnot as if it's the most obvious thing in the world
i myself have obsessed over a taylor swift album from time to time and i KNOW she has the potential to write great lyrics she's done it before but i really don't get the urge to paint her as the ultimate lyricist of our lifetimes when hozier is literally right there
Goncharov is like the group project that got graded an A* because everyone involved actually contributed to the tasks allocated to them. Which is so unrealistic because we all know 99% of the workload gets given to the smart kid and everyone else just shows up at the end to reap the rewards.
16 year old Lamine Yamal is this season’s savior and I’m not saying that lightly…he is consistently bailing us out and showing up where others don’t. and yes I’ll keep highlighting his age because it is amazing what he’s doing in his young career and also slightly concerning that he’s being relied on so heavily at this point in his career. unbelievable kid.
his vocals in this part had me light-headed like ohmygod the high-note? the seamless shift from his head voice to his chest voice? the little belt? the vocal run? UGH
