synopsis. when you got isekai'd into your favourite manhwa, you didn't expect to find yourself dating an agriche - especially since the two of you are polar opposites.

warnings. mentions of torture and killing (not towards reader), possessiveness.

author's note. ok ok hear me out- i know you didn't request for isekai!reader, but i thought that the concept of her dating the agriche boys because she's a simp for them would be fun to play around with. she has the traits that you mentioned though!

when DION went to the border to dispose of the pedelian guards just like his father had ordered him to, he didn't expect to witness you falling from the sky. for the first time in his life, he was surprised - and the fact that he felt an emotion compelled him to catch you in his arms.

the moment you realised that you had stopped falling, you opened your eyes and nearly screamed. even though dion was wearing a hood and a half face mask, you recognised his bright red eyes immediately. of all the possible characters in the manhwa, it had to be dion agriche who found you first; you didn't know if you should squeal in joy since your favourite villain is carrying you like a princess, or if you should quake in fear at the likelihood of him taking you prisoner.

as you were occupied with doing mental gymnastics, he silently observed you, head cocked slightly to one side. he thought it was interesting that you didn't try to resist him or at least shout for help (both of which are futile), considering the dangerous situation you're in. any normal person would be scared especially when surrounded by piles of corpses.

you could tell that dion was weighing his options of either killing you since you're a witness, or keeping you in one of the agriche residence's prison cells until he has a use for you. desperate to live, you impulsively yanked his mask down and tugged his head towards you, causing his lips to smash against yours. his eyes widened.

"why did you do that?" he asked when you pulled away.

"because... i love you!" you exclaimed, giving him the sweetest smile you could muster. you learnt from another manhwa that the best way to survive an encounter with a dangerous person is to catch them off-guard with a love confession! you're not exactly lying about your love for dion anyway, and the consequences of this will be a future you problem.

"even though i could kill you right now?"

"i feel a certain excitement knowing that my life and death are in your hands."

"... interesting. it'd be a waste to have you dead," dion said with mirth. maybe you could solve his problem of needing a wife to continue the agriche bloodline in the future, as all of the women he's met/been introduced to so far are boring. he needed someone who could add a little fun and excitement to his mundane, humdrum life, and you seem to be the right person to do so. before you could say anything else, dion swiftly knocked you out.

... and that's how you found yourself chained to dion's bed with a collar around your neck. everyone, especially roxanne, was surprised to see him strutting inside the manor with your unconscious self slung over his shoulder earlier, and when he had claimed that you're the woman he wishes to marry, lante allowed him to keep you. as long as you have a pretty face and can give birth to children who'd make fine agriches, lante doesn't care who dion chooses as his bride.

dion took his father's permission too literally and keeps you in his room like a pet. still, he takes good care of you by feeding you well and letting you sleep on the same bed as him. it can be a little awkward sharing a bed with dion because he tends to hug you very tightly in his sleep, as if he doesn't want to give you any room for escape.

he doesn't let you roam around the manor alone because of jeremy; dion knows that he hates him, and would rather not have you run into any problems involving his moody half-brother. it'd be troublesome too if jeremy somehow takes a liking to you because dion is not fond of sharing what's supposed to be his in the first place.

dion is possessive of you, and his possessiveness increased tenfold after he was exposed to your gentle side. when he returned from an errand drenched in blood one day, you didn't hide how worried you were for him. even though the collar limited your distance from the bed, you kept trying to reach for him as he slumped on the floor. it didn't show on his face, but he was exhausted; he couldn't look at you properly and only heard you calling his name frantically...

when he finally came to, he found himself resting on your lap, your hand gently stroking his forehead. relief washed over you when you noticed that he's awake, and you cupped his cheeks.

"you're awake! don't collapse on me like that ever again, i almost got a heart attack-"

"... you were worried?" he asked.

with a huff, you replied, "of course! i don't want anything bad to happen to you, dion. b-besides, we're kinda dating each other."

dion grew up with a mother who didn't love nor care about him. he grew up with a father who only cared about what value he can bring to the black agriche. dion, who grew up emotionally repressed and touch starved wanted more after the first sign of genuine kindness from you. your saccharine words and honey-coated gesture at that moment were all it took for you to completely consume his mind.

as he leaned into one of your palms with his eyes closed, dion has decided. a sweet and gentle person like you is not suited for the harsh world outside, but as long as you stay by his side and continue showering him with your affection, he'll make sure that no harm will come to his little butterfly. if anyone tries to take you away from him, he won't stop at just cutting off the hand that dared to touch what's his; he'll torture them by giving them a slow, painful death.

he's never going to let you go. he'll make you stay in the agriche residence until the end of time, and if you're going to die, then die here in his arms.

JEREMY knew that he had to have you the moment he saw how aggressively cassis reacted to the sight of your unconscious self, bound and gagged beside him. by having you in his grasp, he has a means of provoking cassis and it also gives him a sense of control.

lante handed you over to jeremy when the latter expressed his interest in having you as his toy, and roxanne warned him to not do anything that will kill you if he doesn't want her toy to give her a hard time, seeing as cassis is attached to you for some reason. jeremy naturally listened to his sister, but he didn't expect to fall in love with you so quickly.

unlike the members of the black agriche, you're very sweet and your kindness isn't fake. the gentle attention you'd give him despite your unfavourable circumstances fed the touch starved jeremy, who only desires someone to love and care for him. he initially kept you so he'd have cassis on a leash, but now... he wants to keep you by his side to fill the void in his heart.

you were, of course, bewildered by his change in attitude at first. he would usually treat you as if you're less than dirt, so to suddenly be put on a pedestal by him felt a little strange. he still makes you wear the collar to prevent you from escaping, but he's kinder and tries to be gentle with you these days.

"hey (y/n), are you bored? i brought you some books that you might like!" jeremy exclaimed as he dumped a pile of books on the bed you're sitting on.

"oh, thank you..." you said, picking the romance novel at the top of the pile, "am i really allowed to read these books? what if you get in trouble by your father?"

"hmm... i won't," he began, plopping himself beside you on the bed, "because starting from today, you're my girlfriend."

just like that, you became the lover of jeremy agriche. lante had his reservations about a pedelian dating one of his children, but when you told him that you're merely a peasant rischel took pity on and decided to raise as one of his own (you had to lie about you being from a world where their lives are part of a novel), he changed his mind. since you're not officially affiliated with the blue pedelian, he can use you against the very family that took you under their wing and thus permitted you to be with jeremy.

jeremy was obviously overjoyed and immediately moved you to a lavish room. "that dingy prison cell doesn't suit an angel like you anyway!" he claimed. with roxanne's help, he was able to buy you an entire wardrobe of beautiful dresses and boxes of glimmering jewelries. him spoiling you overwhelmed you and made you suspect that he's after something, but when he eagerly ducked his head in front you, you realised that all he wants is a head pat for every single thing he does in an attempt to make you happy.

"i'm not asking for much. just love me, and i'll make sure you live comfortably here," he said, smiling happily when your hand gently caressed his head.

well, that's easy enough. jeremy is your favourite character in the manhwa, and since he's given you the green light, you'll take full advantage of it to shower him with affection. in return, he'll always be there to protect you and will even defend your mistakes.

when you kissed his cheek to thank him for catching you after you fell from a tree branch, he became addicted. he'd ask for sweet little kisses instead of head pats since then, as he finds them more fulfilling. a giddy feeling consumes him every time your lips brush against his cheek or forehead, and he soon begins to wonder what your lips would feel like on his...

"(y/n). have you ever kissed that blue son of a bitch before?" jeremy asked one day, making you choke on your own spit.

"no! of course not!" you replied, flustered by his question, "cassis is not someone i'd like to spend the rest of my life with."

he breathed a sigh of relief. "good. i'm the one you want to be with forever, right?" grinning, he leaned in and pressed his forehead against yours as you smiled.

as jeremy grew up, he became extremely possessive of you. he doesn't want you to show kindness to anyone but himself (roxanne is an exception), and if you expressed even the slightest interest in dion, he'll confront his half-brother and demand to know what he did to seduce you. depending on jeremy's mood, the confrontation will either end in blood or peace.

he gets jealous very easily and doesn't like it when other men lay their eyes on his sweet angel. he'll get angry if anyone so much dares to cast a dirty look your way because nobody disrespects you like that in his presence. you'll have to stop him by grabbing his arm and begging him to stay with you before he storms up to the unfortunate soul to give them a piece of his mind.

during the social event where the five families gather together, jeremy forbade you from attending any of the balls. instead, he made you stay with roxanne in her room to shield you from the prying eyes of other men and to also hide you from the blue pedelian. that didn't stop you from sneaking into the ballroom when roxanne wasn't looking though. you were not going to waste your only chance of getting a glimpse of the handsome male leads of "the flower of hell" after all!

however, you got caught hiding behind a potted plant by noel vertium, who was enamoured of you at first sight. jeremy spotted you just as noel was about to approach you, and he was able to reach you first. with a possessive grip around your waist, he pressed you against his chest and glared at noel, who soon got dragged away by his aide.

if you try to act cute with jeremy, he might just forgive you for disobeying him.

summary : everyone in the agriche family hates the fact that their angel, the weakest person in their household was able to escape from them.

ah, the youngest, the weakest, and the most naive member of the agriche family. that's how everyone, including your family, sees you as. they all see you as a fragile doll who needs protection because you might break down if they didn't protect you.

you see, everyone in that household was taught that familial love wasn't important. and lant, the current head of your family sees his children as weapons. but you do not belong with that. as much as he hates to admit it, this guy was so obsessed and curious about you. he doesn't know the reason why you, his weakest child were able to catch his attention.

you see, as much as he hates to admit it. you were his favorite child. and he doesn't want his child to get hurt, that's why he didn't hesitate to confine you to the agriche mansion. jeez, you want to explore the world with that weak-ass body of yours? no way!

maria and sierra, this two were the people who act like your bodyguards. if you're not with your siblings, maria and sierra wouldn't hesitate to invite you to have tea with them. as a platonic yandere, sierra could become pretty delusional. your behavior reminds her a lot of her deceased son, ashil. so cheerful and so kind. and at some point, this woman believed that you are ashil's reincarnation. if you're not, then why are you treating her like your own mom? why do you have the same mannerism as ashil? why are you so kind to everyone? and since she believed that you are ashil's reincarnation, sierra wouldn't hesitate to throw her life away if it means that she can protect you. because she doesn't want to lose you. she doesn't want to lose her as his again.

let's move on with platonic yandere! fontaine and griselda. you didn't expect that i'll add fontaine here, right? i also didn't expect that! but for the fun, let's add this asshole this guy! platonic yandere! fontaine, wants to be recognized by lant. and seeing how much lant favors you, his youngest half-sister, this guy planned to use you. yes, he planned to use you at first, but his plans changed after seeing how innocent you are. you see, unlike the others, fontaine was the last person in the family who becomes a yandere for you. he keeps convincing himself that he had no use for your weak self. but seeing you trying your best to get along with him only boosts his unhealthy (platonic) obsession. and if you ever disobey this guy, he wouldn't hesitate to ‘discipline’ you. saying that he was only doing that for your sake so you better not tell to lant or your stepmothers that he hurt you, okay?!

but you don't have to worry! because whenever fontaine hurts you, griselda your older sister will be there to patch you up and comfort you. the main reason why griselda became a yandere for you was that you were interesting. and we all know that griselda loves interesting things. and the more she observes you, the more you become interesting. and griselda's amusement later morphed onto an unhealthy obsession. griselda was a calm woman, and she was able to hide her yandere tendencies so well. that's why whenever fontaine hurts you, you immediately go and look for her. and griselda, while patching you up, will manipulate you into thinking that fontaine was the bad guy here. griselda just wanted one simple thing, and it's you to stay away from fontaine. because once you did, then, her, lant, maria, roxana, dion, and jeremy will be able to deal with him quietly.

just like lant, maria was also angry. this woman wants to kill the person who helped you escape. while sierra, sierra was heartbroken and scared. what if something happens to you while you're outside?! what if you got hurt while you were outside?! no, no, no! she doesn't want to lose you! because if she loses you, then she will lose ashil completely!

the usual calm griselda was nowhere to be seen after you managed to escape from them. griselda become colder and many servants were scared because of that. because every time griselda looks at them, griselda looks uninterested and very bored. after all, in griselda's eyes. the servants weren't interesting as you. and she was also furious at those people that her father sent to guard you. how dare they let you escape. haah, it looks like she needs to go out to kill the family of those guards.

everyone knows how much fontaine loathes dion. but if it means that they will be able to bring you back to the mansion, fontaine won't hesitate to partner with dion to find you. even jeremy who hates both of them will help them to find you.

even roxana will surely send many of her poisonous butterflies just to find her little sister. without you around, your crazy family became crazier. so you better make sure that they won't be able to find you. because once they find you, they will not hesitate to break your legs or chain you if it means that you won't leave the mansion again.

✟ You were Dion's friend and you were known well in the family for being cruel, ruthless and being the favourite of Lant even though you weren't his, when they found out you both were dating, Lant wanted to have Dion be the next head because he will have you as his wife.

✟ Except, this didn't happen, as you both began dating, Dion began to grow restless and started to be more emotional and merciful, and later on Roxanne fell in love and ran away with her pet, who happened to be Cassiss Pedelian, from the Blue Pedelian family.

✟ As this happened the family fell, when you and Dion also ran away with some of the largest riches in the family, you both were living out on the outskirts of the empire ion a cottage you owned as a result of making your own money in secret.

✟ Sooner or later, you both also fled the cottage upon hearing of the fall of the Black Agriches, you both worried sick of the only people you both cared about; a few certain servants, who became close to you and Dion.

✟ As you both now near a forest, and a bay, living in a minimalist life, though it had been hard you both were doing pretty well, doing work as bookshop owners and bakers and on occasions as assassins for both of your exceptional skills in killing and hiding.

✟ You both ended up three cats and a weird tiny glass frog Dion became emotionally attached to, whom the cats also got emotionally attached. You often have to look after your four kids now, including Dion, as the glass frog named "Blom" by your beloved husband just calmly sits in his glass container watching you scold your husband and three cats.

✟ Oh Yeah! You both got married, by a few families and couples who lived near you both, whom you both made a companionship with. It was a small wedding with you wearing the prettiest dress you had brought with you and amazing desserts and food made by you, Dion and your neighbours.

✟ I personally headcanon that you both live at a place where it would rain often, and so you and your lovely neighbourly ladies would dance with your husbands/ wives in the rain and often sing songs with them too, while making someone will make food and treats for everyone.

✟ You also near a lake btw! You and Dion often play fight and constantly end up swimming away from each-other in the lake, while your cats look at you both with slight concern, until they see you laughing then they join you!

✟ Moving to your cats, you have a grey cat with green eyes, one white with grey eyes and one black with maroonish almost red eyes, whom you think looks a lot like Dion. The grey cat is named moon, the white one Vanilla and the black one is named bamboo, curtsy of your darling husband....

✟ He surprisingly makes good food and his drinks, shakes or anything like that are god-tier, they're absolutely amazing. You'd often find him in the kitchen super early in the morning making you both breakfast, while your three cats are sitting lapping at the pieces of meat he put for them in tiny ceramic dishes he made himself with the help of one of your old neighbours. He's very proud of them.

✟ But you also find him crying his eyes out as well, every since he left the manor, he's been showing more of his emotions than he ever has, and now you actually know what he feels, he is absolutely crushed at the thought of his mother dead, but he always uses one of the cats as his napkin wiping his nose and eyes on their fur while they squeal out for you, their darling mother.

✟ He also smiles a lot, and it's not his blood-thirsty smile he sued to have in front of his toys, but a heart-warming smile and a genuine smile, you wouldn't be able to see if you both were still at the manor. He misses his mother as she would though be kinda mean, Maria loved him in private, when she would often whisper that she finds him the prettiest.

✟ Oh, yeah! You ended up finding Sierra, Maria, Jeremy, Roxanne and her husband, Cassiss. You both were dancing one morning, when you got a knock on your door, thinking it was one of your neighbours asking for something they ran out of, you opened the door just to find everyone smiling with tears in their eyes, as they ran to hug you while Maria immediately ran to Dion to grab him down in a hug while she kissed his forehead, where once Dion realised what happened started crying and sniffling while hiding in his mother's jacket.

✟ As you had a reunion, Sierra explained how she tracked you down and how she helped Jeremy and Maria escape with her to your cabin you showed to her in case she ever got too overwhelmed and wants to escape everything. They explained who everyone was dead, including Lant, Charlotte, Grizelda and Fonataine and many other family members and servants.

✟ Cassiss's family had taken Roxanne as their daughter\sister-in-law and they both were to get married soon and wanted to invite you and Dion to their wedding. As you Maria, Sierra and Cassis were having a conversation while petting your cats, Dion, Roxanne and Jeremy were bickering about somethings and how Jeremy was dating one of your and Dion's trusted friends who used to be both of your servant.

✟ In the end it turned a bit better than you both expected, especially when he Roxanne and Jeremy formed a connection of siblings and Sierra and Maria moved along with Jeremy and his fiancee moved next door to you and Roxanne moved though a bit far from your house, still closer to you both.

𖤝‌ after the incident with roxana's butterflies, charlotte despised the winged creatures even three years later. she's more cautious around them but she will have panic attacks should those red-colored butterflies come too near and she loathes that, seeing it as a weakness. and having a weakness in the agriche household means punishment or death. and she's an agriche, charlotte has to survive to make it here.

𖤝‌ charlotte's preference for weapons is her whips. and yes, she had named them. they were gifts from her father ( surprising, right? ) from his trip after she successfully tortured people in his stead. and she cherishes them. now she thinks the sentiments were useless but don't underestimate the girl and her whips. she can still knock people off their feet and place them under her easily.

𖤝‌ when younger, charlotte was much easier to manipulate out of all her siblings. because her mother spoiled her so much just so she can use her daughter to protect her when danger comes. eventually, charlotte was able to see past her mother's manipulation and break free from it. her father is nothing worth to her and her mother was just using her so isn't it fair if charlotte starts putting herself first?

𖤝‌ charlotte was also compared to roxana by her mother a lot because she was lante favorite daughter and a true agriche. she looked up to her older sister for all her accomplishments but deep down, she also resented her as she couldn't attain roxana achievements as her mother pressured her to. the constant comparison grew worse and after the butterfly incident, her feelings for the blonde went from bad to worse.

𖤝‌ charlotte used to hate her looks. she looked nothing like her father which her mother used to criticize a lot. and she wanted to please her mother a lot so she tried to resemble more of lante in terms of personality. though after charlotte left her mother's mind games behind, she learned to appreciate her emerald green eyes and fiery red hair. she may resemble her mother more here but she's starting to look at herself as just charlotte.

𖤝‌ charlotte holds grudges for a long time added to her anger issues and her prideful nature, it's a really bad mix. but after the house fell, she's learning how to work with her issues and try to be better. she's sixteen, of course, and she's gonna make mistakes and say things she won't be able to properly apologize for. but of there's one thing that makes it up for it, it's her persistence to be better. at least better than her parents.

𖤝‌ after the agriche manor fell, charlotte left the house and decided to become free of her family's wretched name. yes, she grew up as a standard agriche but as she grew older, she learned more about the world around her. and that came with a longing to experience it. and when the time came, charlotte escaped the manor with the money she obtained and jewelry she had 'borrowed' from her mother. she doesn't regret it. after all, her name means free and that's what she will be.

synopsis. his reaction to you getting kidnapped.

DION is eerily calm - at least on the outside - when he hears the news of your kidnapping from your bodyguard, johann. roxana watches him closely, as if expecting her half-brother to kill him for failing to protect you, and raises an eyebrow when dion approaches him.

he surprises johann by kneeling down to his level, and the bodyguard trembles like a leaf, fearing his impending doom. it's no secret that dion favours you a lot, and if he finds even a tiny bruise on your delicate skin, he's already walking away with the tip of his sword dragging across the floor.

kidnapping you - in other words, stealing what's his - is enough to anger dion, although it doesn't show on his expression. but he's even angrier at johann for failing to do his simple job of keeping you safe.

grabbing his jaw roughly, dion asks him, "what did they look like?" his expression is unreadable, and that only scares johann further. he's struggling to answer because truthfully, he doesn't know. one moment you were there, and the next you were gone. his head would surely roll if he gives dion that answer.

dion grows impatient and as he stands up, raising his sword to behead johann, roxana quickly stops him and says that she knows the identities of the people who had kidnapped you and where you're kept thanks to her butterflies. he'd demand her to tell him everything, his desperation to have you back in his arms becoming evident.

he doesn't need a detailed plan to rescue you; he'll do what he usually does and make it rain blood. as he throws his black cloak over his head, he strides out of the agriche residence with his sword in hand, ready to make your kidnappers reap what they had sown. oh, he'll make them regret kidnapping his beloved butterfly.

JEREMY is beyond pissed. he's furiously turning his entire room upside down, smashing whatever his hands come across on the floor as he yells at your poor bodyguard for being useless and incompetent. he returned to the manor hoping to spend some quality time in your embrace, only to be told that some fools had kidnapped you. not an ideal welcome home greeting.

"well, don't just stand there! organise a search party and find (y/n) right now! if i find even a tiny scratch on their body, i'll turn you all into demon chow!" he shouts. his anger is clouding his judgement, and jeremy proceeds to punch the wall in frustration. just who decided to ruin his day by taking advantage of his absence to kidnap you?

after taking deep breaths, he manages to calm down slightly. he's not going to accept this. you had promised to stay by his side no matter what, and in return he had promised to protect you... he grits his teeth. you both can still keep your promises, and he's determined to fulfill his by saving you himself.

before johann could scramble out of his room, jeremy clamps a hand down on his shoulder. "you stay here. i'll handle this myself," he says before shoving the bodyguard aside to storm into the hallway. he'd ask a few of his half-siblings for help, and convincing them is easy; he only needs to promise them that they can kill your kidnappers and take whatever they like from the corpses, whether it'd be jewels, trinkets, their nails or even their eyeballs...

jeremy is already grinning sinisterly at the thought of giving hell to your kidnappers. they'd be wishing they were dead by the time he's done mutilating their bodies beyond recognition, and his precious angel will be safe and sound again.

"no one takes (y/n) from me and gets away with it," he mutters.

summary : roxana accidentally found out her older sister's little dark secret.

alright, to be honest. you were an agriche. and everyone knows how crazy the agriche family is. even if you are quite different from your other siblings. you were still an agriche, you were maria and lant's eldest child. and just like your mother and father, you had your side that only a few people know.

just like roxana, you were a good actress. you were able to hide your other side perfectly. you were able to hide it from your father, mother and the other people on the agriche mansion, even from roxana.

and those people who know about your true nature could only say one thing. you are much worse than lant is. you were more powerful, crueler, and more psychotic than he was. they believe that if you wanted, you could kill your father easily. and they were so thankful that you were someone who wants to live peacefully.

before you met roxana, you were like an emotionless doll. you don't know how to be happy, sad, angry, worried, etc. but after you met her, you were able to express yourself more easily than before. and that's the reason why you were thankful to your little sister.

as a yandere, our dear reader was overprotective, not as much as roxana is to the reader, but it's still unhealthy. you only had one simple dream, and it's to live peacefully with your family (roxana, jeremy, maria, sierra, griselda, and dion) and you are willing to do anything to achieve that dream.

you were thankful that you were in a mission when that incident happened. because if you were there, you might ended up hurting jeremy, dion or roxana's toy. so, by the time you got back, you immediately go to your father's office.

on your way there, you bumped into roxana whose face brightened after seeing you after almost a month. she tried to invite you to have tea with her, but you declined, saying that you still had some business to deal with. of course, roxana tried to put her sad facade to convince or more like forcing you to go with her but it didn't work. you just apologized to her as you patted her head.

so, after leaving roxana alone, you continued your way to your father's office. but little did you know, roxana was following you.

you took a deep breath as you arrived in front of your father's office. the bright smile that you wore earlier when you saw roxana slowly disappeared, as your bright red eyes became dark.

and roxana was beyond surprised when she saw that. she didn't expected that you, her kind older sister was able to make that kind of expression. she blankly watched you kicked the door of lant's office.

inside the office, the servants even lant and his vassals were surprised at what just happened. with a single kick, the door of his office broke into pieces. and a familiar woman entered the room wearing a dark expression on her face. it was (first name), one of his children.

then, let's just say outside lant's office. roxana could hear the screams of the servants inside there. and her father's angry voice and the sound of the bones breaking.

but what made roxana's heart beat fast, was when she heard your calm yet angry voice inside the office. she was beyond happy, she was ecstatic that you go far on threatening lant for her...

Daphne Blackwell

Name

The etymology comes from Greek, daphnē: Daphne was a river nymph in Greek Mythology, turned into the eponymous laurel tree by her father in order to escape the pursuit of Apollo [1]. The laurel is a shrub that was traditionally used to weave wreaths and crowns that were symbols of victory in the sporting events of Ancient Greece. Today, laurel is synonymous with achievement, and a laureate is one who an award or achievement is bestowed upon. The god Apollo is often depicted wearing laurel on his head, and notably also is Roman general Julius Caesar and the notorious French general Napoleon Bonaparte. [2]

The laurel as a symbol works perfectly because it aligns with her colors, too.

Blackwell's surname derived from Old English blæc meaning "black" and well meaning "well, spring, water hole". This is to indicate that she is a source of darkness, where black water sprouts and floods the world.

Character Design

I inspired her eyes in Roxana Agriche (The Way to Protect the Female Lead’s Older Brother). I think her eyes are the perfect sort for an evil, competent beauty! I edited these myself btw, but they are cropped directly from the manhua’s illustrations.

Even if Daphne (M.) is Maedryn’s exact replica, I wanted to highlight the odds against them through character design. That’s why Daphne has long, curly white hair: long - elegant - in contrast with her mother’s shorter - practical - cut. This is a subtle rebellion in styling choices and overall presence, and the difference between their villainous vision.

Daphne’s white hair contrasts with her mother’s dark but graying hairline. The color symbolizes a sagacity beyond Daphne’s years, even beyond her own mother’s, and is proof of Maedryn’s influence on Daphne: I think Marie Antoinette Syndrome would become essential in Daphne’s deviation from her mother’s guidance, considering Maedryn’s expectations - pressure - on Daphne. It’s realistic, thinking that Maedryn’s ‘tutelage’ was what twisted her own reflection into a an unruly individual.

Portraits

These are the Picrews I used for the portraits! I don’t recall clear descriptions of the characters, so this will have to do.

綺麗な人に見下されたい｜Picrew (196772) - Daphne Blackwell in the flesh! I think the green / white palette helps to convey the image of a serpent beneath the flowers. She wears something flowing and majestic, to highlight her might and glory. She hates the boring and unremarkable. She’s a leader, and her highest stats are Evil, Competence and Style! A dark figure looming over a burning city, as faceless hordes rampage through it. “Tomorrow... the universe,” it whispers.

在庫処分｜Picrew (69653) - I recall she used a dress and braids in her introduction, so my first visualization was Princess Leia (Star Wars). Further into the story, while she acts as a villain, she undergoes a subtle transformation involving canines and claws, and dresses the part. Kinistra appears too little in my play-through, however she’s still remarkable. She looks stunning all the time. “Since the moment I saw her in the dungeons, I felt the spark. I think Kinistra might be the one. My nemesis.”

武天式（ﾂﾖ）女メーカー｜Picrew (1532707) - Maedryn the Quantum-Witch. I considered my previous post on the matter and really relied on the color green. “She’s certainly well known, but I’ve lived my whole life in her shadow. I’m going to be my own villain, and she’s gonna know it.”

Lobotomy キャラクターmaker(ver.バトル)｜Picrew (234517) - I always imagined him as a brown-haired / red head with short temperature and a shorter fuse. He makes me think of Syndrome (The Incredibles) and Doc Ock (The Spectacular Spider-Man): her’s a nerd motivated by envious bile and sheer willpower. So much potential! “Aurion really does his homework. If he weren’t so likely to betray me, he would make a good minion.”

うちの子キメラメーカー｜Picrew (19771) - Phil, the most normal of the bunch. What an evil, hedonistic slob, but at least he’s pretty and rich. Sometimes he’s a good friend, even. Yes, I did gave him a beauty mark. Kevin the Receptionist (Ghostbusters: Answer the Call) vibes. “ [...] The most perfect young man you’ve ever seen, with the build (and wearing the elegant white drapery) of a classical statue. [...] He seems so appealing. Harmless, even.”

生きてる｜Picrew (34800) - Xi. I don’t have much on them. They’re just so hard to picture. I see them as an unholy mix between All For One & Kurogiri (My Hero Academy) Have some relatable Pinterest memes from the later that are TOTALLY a reflection of our favorite RA. “Do you dream, Xi?”
