It's been a while, sorry guys. Been kinda tired lately and haven't really had that much inspiration to write but here's part 5! Lemme know if you want on the taglist! this is probably the second to last part though;/

After the mini golf was over you went over to Noah's car and drove over to a cliff to watch the stars. Noah surprised you by bringing a mattress in the back of his car and some string lights, making it cozy for you. You laid in the back and looked at the stars, talking for hours, laughing and cuddling.

"I'm sorry babe." He said softly and you sighed happily. You looked out into the sky, appreciating the absence of clouds, the stars in clear view. Neither you or Noah spoke for a while, enjoying the silence for a bit, and you got a little lost in your thoughts.

You reminisced on the time you met Noah.

"Thanks so much, have a great day!" You said in a fake cheerful voice. The customer you just served had not been nice enough to warrant that tone, but you were pretty sure you'd get fired if you did any different. You played with your lip ring as you looked out in the store, making sure everything was in order. You saw a few shirt were unfolded so you went to fold them again.

As you finished folding you felt a presence behind you.

"Excuse me do you have this in a size large?" the person asked and you turned around, looking first at the guy, then at the shirt.

"I'm sorry sir someone just got the last one." You said, looking back at him. He had a surface piercing on his cheek and his hair was the stuff of emo dreams. You smiled at him. He was kinda cute.

"Oh okay. Do you have any other A Day To Remember stuff that you haven't stocked yet?" He asked shyly and you pretended to think about it. You knew you didn't, you had just restocked everything and you didn't remember any ADTR stuff. But he was cute, and you didn't wanna disappoint him, so you told him you would check. He followed you awkwardly until you got to the back room and you went into the break room, silently screaming. You were used to emos coming into your store, hell, it was a Hot Topic of course there's emos there's every day. But none of them were as cute as this guy and you wished you could shit ADTR merch just to make him smile. You went back out with a regrettable expression on your face.

"I'm sorry sir, everything is restocked and the sizes there are out there are the only ones we have I'm afraid. Are there any other bands you would be interested in?" You asked. You would normally never be this helpful, but this guy had you actually doing your job. It was annoying.

"I guess Bring Me The Horizon?" He asked, and your eyes lit up. He had the best taste in music, you realised.

"Yeah we just got some new shirts in, come take a look." You said, waving your hand to signal that he should follow you. He did, very closely even.

"So I like this one, definitely gonna get one as soon as my pay check comes in. But we also have older stuff over on that wall." You pointed to the left. He nodded, his eyes scanning the shirts in from of him and you looked at him. He was really cute you realised and you wanted desperately to keep talking to him, but knew that he was probably just another customer who would leave as soon as he got what he came for.

"The one you showed is pretty cool. Are you going to their show next month?" He asked, looking back at you with a small smile. You smiled back and nodded.

"Yeah, I begged my mom for weeks to get floor tickets so I can finally see them. They're my favourite band." You said and he smiled wider.

"Me too! Do you wanna go together? I mean..It's cool if you don't, you probably have other people to go with." He said, and you shook your head.

"No actually none of my friends managed to get tickets." You said and his eyes twinkled. You both went up to the till to have him pay.

"Oh okay cool. Could I like, get your number so we can meet up before? If you want?" He asked and you smiled impossibly wider.

"Yeah! 'Course!" And you pulled out your phone and handed it to him. He put in his number and called himself, hanging up and then handing it back to you.

"Great so I guess I'll see you soon. Thanks Y/N." He said, waving back at you.

"Yeah, can't wait!" You said as he left the store. You quickly saved his number and sent him a text.

You soon needed air so you broke apart and looked at Noah like he put the stars in the sky. You never wanted to be without him, you realised. Little did you know, he was thinking the same thing.

"You wanna come back to mine?" Noah asked and you nodded, wiping away some of his hair from is face. You kissed his lips once, twice, three times before sitting up and putting your shoes back on. You got into the passenger seat as Noah got in the driver's seat. He started the car and you drove back to Noah's apartment.

When you got there, you got out of your side of the car before he could come open the door for you. You didn't miss the pout on his face, so you grabbed his hand and walked with him to the door of his place. He unlocked the door and immediately you both were met with yells from the living room.

"I'm sorry I didn't know there'd be anyone here." Noah said, and you smiled.

"It's okay, we can just go watch a movie in your room." You said and he smiled back at you, nodding.

"That's a great idea. You go get comfy, just put on any shirt you'd like in the dresser, I'll go get us some snacks." He said as he kissed your hand and you blushed, hurrying down the hallway to his room. You shut the door and went to find a shirt in Noah's dresser. You chose one of his Bad Omens merch shirt and you stripped down, placing your clothes neatly in his office chair, and putting on the shirt, which fit you like a dress. You got under the covers and turned on the TV, finding Disney+.

Noah entered the room with a tray filled with various snacks and beverages.

"Delivery!" Noah said and you laughed as he set it down on his nightstand. "Let me just get into something more comfortable." He said as he took off his shirt and pants and changed into a thin loose hoodie and some shorts. He got under the covers with you, getting really close to you and you blushed a little, feeling like a teenager again. "So did I do good?" Noah asked and you smiled, as you nodded.

"Yeah, it was perfect." you said as you admired him. His hair tousled from your activities, his hoodie slightly askew and the sneak peak of skin from his thigh under the covers. He smiled at something you said and you couldn't stop looking at his lips.

"Can we go in?" "I thought we were going to eat? Not to disrespect your orders! I just want clarification." You frowned. "Hunter, hun, it's fine. We still have money left to eat. You know our date." You winked. Suddenly you heard people talking behind you. "Why are they being so lovey-dovey in public? Honestly, they're just annoying-" "What did you say about them?" Hunter asked, his time was light, but still had an overall threatening aura to it.

"That you and you're partner are annoying." One of them said, clearly not having any self-preservation. While you had to stop yourself from yelling at them for calling Hunter annoying, you were more focused on stopping a fistfight from happening in Hot-Topic. "Hey, Hunter, we don't want to damage any of this merch right?" You sputtered out. Hunter's face didn't change from a scowl, and you were certain your pleas fell on deaf ears. "You're lucky they don't want me to fight you." Hunter shifted all the merch to one arm and put to finger to his eyes then pointed at them.

You also shifted the merch to your other arm. You grabbed his free arm and dragged him to the counter. While you were leaving Hunter was still visibly pissed. "You okay Hun?" "I'm just mad about what they said about you." "I'm mad about what they said about you too. How about we rant over a milkshake." Hunter paused then nodded. "That sounds nice to get away from those annoying people... I should have said they were the annoying ones! Dangit!"

Seeing that post about the new TVA merchandise is chilling. Makes me wonder what is really going on with MCU Disney, what exactly is the message they're trying to send here? It makes me think of the Hydra youth program on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, except this is worse, somehow. They're really selling this shit. Not to mention it's all so butt ugly. Who would really want to wear a brown prison onesie?? I mean, besides TV show Loki, of course...

Also I see that they're introducing us to TVA gas chambers. Lovely. I assume this could only mean that Mobius will be putting Loki in a gas chamber at some point. But in a charming and charismatic way, of course. And Loki will scream and cry, but in the end it will only prove to strengthen their bond, naturally. And I'm sure it will all be so hilarious. A gas chamber has never been more fun. So much fun. Can't wait. Maybe they'll make Funko Pops to commemorate that moment? 😒

The thing about the Hydra youth in AoS is that it was depicted as a bad thing and more importantly the weren't selling the Hydra Uniforms at Hot Topic.

There might be some dissonance from the show's writing to advertising and merch, but no one is objecting to the merchandising that Loki2021 is doing. that gas chamber bit really crossed a line.

You can't say the TVA are meant to villains and then promote the show like this

What seems like a possibility is they are going to try to have Loki change it for good. But the TVA is a fascist system. Those don't change and people can't make it better it just needs to end.

It is gross to have the TVA strip and put collars around people's neck and have all those propaganda poster and then present those propaganda poster in a silly way. Ironic fascism is still fascism and so far the biggest reaction I've seen to season 2 is stuff like this it does concern me.

♡ Scemo clothing haul! ♡

A couple of weeks ago, I got to order some stuff from Hot Topic, so I thought I'd do a bit of a haul and show you guys some of the things I got! I took all of the pictures for this post so some of them might look kind of weird since I'm not great at taking photos but I tried my best.

🎀 Accessories

I got a pair of fishnet gloves, skeleton gloves, leg warmers, and a black and pink studded belt. I'm really happy with all of these, especially the fishnet gloves since I've been wanting a pair for the longest time and I've been wearing them almost every day since I got them. I'm also really glad to finally have a pink studded belt for my pink outfits!

🎀 Hole Pretty on the Inside shirt dress

This is actually my first piece of Hole merchandise which I'm really happy about because I've been listening to them since I was like nine. I also really love these sort of oversized dress length shirts because they're great for when I want to go for a more grungy look. These types of shirts styled with a cute necklace, a flannel, boots, and some over-the-knee socks just makes for a great outfit.

🎀 Leopard print skort

For a short period during the summer of last year, I was pretty into the rockstar's girlfriend aesthetic and one of the staples of that aesthetic was leopard print, so I got a leopard print skort. I don't have many skirts that aren't black, so this is a pretty different addition to my wardrobe.

🎀 Monster High hoodie

This was one of the items that I was most excited about since I really love Monster High. I haven't really had a chance to wear it yet, but I definitely will soon because I really love it.

🎀 Ruby Gloom crop top

I've been watching a lot of Ruby Gloom recently, so when I found out that Hot Topic carried some Ruby merch, I just had to get something. The shirt's so cute and I especially love the sleeves because black and red stripes remind me of the mall goth aesthetic. This is definitely one of my new favourite shirts!

🎀 Misfits shirt

I already had a Misfits shirt, but I didn't have any of their shirts that have the Crimson Ghost on them. Plus Johnnie has this shirt so of course I had to get it. It also goes great with the skeleton gloves.

🎀 Skull tutu skirt

The main reason I got this was actually because it reminded me of that one skull outfit Eugenia used to wear a lot. I also don't have too many gothic clothing items so I wanted to get some. Plus this skirt styled with a pair of fishnet tights, the Misfits shirt, and skeleton gloves would just be so perfect.

Jeff the Killer

Anger issues much? And is that hot topic merch? Definitely an emo, but your music taste is amazing! You don’t back down from anything and you defend your friends a lot. Your also very opinionated, nothing wrong with that I guess. You definitely had a major crush on him and read those fanfics about him coming to your room and taking you to live in the slender mansion. Are you ok, mentally? I believe you like spicy food (every JTF fan I’ve met likes spicy food, so it’s now a stereotype). Also, your loud.

BEN Drowned

Fun fact : you cant cut everyone off and then expect to be mentally ok. You play video games not only because you like them, but you use them as an escape from reality. You probably hate it here on earth most of the time, but believe that there’s some good and something worth staying here. You had a weird childhood (FNAF, creepypasta, etc.) and might have been bullied for it, but now your cool and still like all that stuff. Your music taste is also great, but stop running from your problems. Honestly, I feel like if your a BEN fan, then you’ve been a fan of him for a long time now.

Eyeless Jack

Similar to BEN, you can’t just cut everyone off. Also books are not a substitute for people, go outside. Your definitely some kind of “special” student (like you know those gifted classes? At my school we called them special classes but they were the gifted classes it think. Anyways you were in those) and your burnt out. You probably want to go into medicine, or something really complex like that. Also, you thirst over this man so much, it’s a little concerning. Take a break from everything, just chill. Your music taste is ok, but you’ve got great taste in men. You might be a mom or therapist friend.

ADHD? Autism? Your somewhere on scale. How are those sensory issues? You seem like the kind of person who was “special” or “gifted” and you sat alone at recess picking at grass. Your also really into the trope where the proxies have the personalities of the Heathers and your Veronica. You also really like true crime, like to a scary amount. Your music taste is cool, could be better I guess. Also, stop trying to hide from your problems, it’s better to face them.

Brian / Hoodie :

Your quite, but really cool. Similar to Tim, a big Marble Hornets / SlenderVerse fan. You like photography and urban exploring, as well as ghosting hunting. I feel like you had a Sam and Colby and/or Buzzfeed Unsolved phase at some point. Another true crime fan, but you enjoy fictional stuff like slashers more than real stuff. Speaking of, stop trying to hide from reality. It’s better to face it, but your smart and I’m sure you can figure it out. You find yourself in holes a lot, but you manage to get yourself out of them. Great music taste, your the dad friend, and overall super cool.

Jane the Killer

Your either thirst over her or kin her or both. You have great taste in just about everything, music, fashion, anything. Your probably some kind of goth, but if not goth then metal head. You had an Evanescence phase and don’t even try to tell me you didn’t because I know you did. A lot of people fall for you, and you have so many people on a leash, but you sometimes find yourself using them for your gain. I think this is something you don’t mean to do, and when you do it you feel terrible. Your an over-thinker, but don’t worry, your cool and look great.

Nina the Killer

Was invader zim your favorite childhood show? Or was it the grim adventures of Billy and Mandy? Either way your emo and scene, and your very proud to be one! Your proud to be who you are, and that’s amazing! Sometimes you get insecure, but I promise you looked great. Honestly, you strike me as the kind of person who either looks emo and listens to emo music, or the kind of person to look cute and soft but like to like grindcore and black metal. You hide from your own problems but jump head first into small issues. Take some time to yourself and just settle down. Don’t let anyone fuck with you or your style either, I love you and nobody should diss on the scene Queen.

Room Decorating Tips!!!!!

How to make your room cool and emo scene- a guide that i thought would be useful

Lights!! This is super important and colored lights can change the whole feel of a room. You can buy color-changing led strip lights off amazon for like $15. (They also sync to music which is really cool.) If this is inaccessible to you, you can also wrap regular lights in colored tissue paper and make them any color you want. Pick a color that matches the other stuff in your room!!!

Display your clothes!! Y'know that one shirt you wish you could wear everyday? Put it on your wall. All you need for this is a coathanger and a nail. Hammer the nail into the wall and hang the coathanger with your shirt off it. This does great for covering up blank wall space + you can put your favorite clothes on display until you want to wear them. (If your parents won't let you put nails in your wall you can hang them off your curtain rod or something)

Posters- I get posters from random online band merch stores and companies like Trends International or Hot Topic. Pick out posters of your favorite bands/movies/random aesthetic things. If big posters aren't in your price range or you don't have space for them, you can still just print out 132457 photos of your favorite band or artist and tape them to your wall. This looks great and is good for filling in small blank spaces.

Carpet/Curtains/Bedding- Try to match your carpets and rugs, curtains, and bedding colors to the general vibe and color scheme of your room, and the light color you chose. You can also look and try to find cool invader zim themed duvet covers somewhere if you like, but if you can't, don't worry, your room will still look cool without them.

SHELF SPACE!! This is very important. Put stuff you want to display on shelves and put the random junk that you never use in the closet!! This might take some sorting around, but in the end it's totally worth it. YOu can put up CDs or vinyls you own, funko pops, dolls, whatever items you like.

Ceiling Space- You can totally put posters and stuff on the ceiling- anything on your walls can go there too. One thing i did to my ceiling was to buy some of those cheap black gauze Halloween decoration cloths and just pin them to the ceiling. I also added fairy lights (these are available at craft stores or on Amazon) so it looks like stars!!

Anyway, i hope this helped whoever comes across it! Also a lot of these tips can be applied to any aesthetic decor, not just emo and scene, so feel free to use them however!

what do you consider 'punk' and how did you get into it?

I’m going to preface this by saying this ask is over a month old. At first I just felt like this was too big of a topic to tackle, and then when a new wave of what I’m going to call discourse in the community came up, it just felt like it was going to add fuel to the fire. I ended up making some posts about it anyway, but I guess since I just got asked this again, it’s time to really sit down and answer: what is punk to me.

Punk is a conglomeration of similar ideas, however, some people have different ideas of what is and isn’t punk. I, for example, do not support the vegan movement, but I do know people on here who have patches like “meat is murder” on their battle jackets. That would be an example of a punk ideal that not everyone shares. The basis, the foundation of punk though, as a political ideal, is anti-government and anti-capitalist. There are some things thrown under those umbrellas too. For example, I think you can label being “anti-cop” and under the umbrella of anti-government if you wanted because law enforcement is a government agency.

Punk is a fashion style. Time and time again we have pointed at large fashion brands (I’m looking at you Hot Topic and Spencer’s) and gone “I can’t believe they’re profiting off an aesthetic built on cheap DIY and making it expensive”. When I went a few days ago I found a black beanie with a safety pin and 3 d-rings that was slightly “distressed” as the fashion industry likes to call it. $16. Go get yourself a black beanie, find yourself a safety pin and some d-rings and cut it up yourself, if you’re doing it right it should NOT cost you $16. And if it looks like it’s going to cost you $16 then either you’re shopping in the wrong places or you need to find a 🖐️ discount on that shit *cough* excuse me I’m not sure where that came from. The most recent example of this (this is July 2023) is Hot Topic selling Hobbie Brown merch for the new Into The Spiderverse movie. Selling branded merch of a character who is anti-brand and anti-capitalist. This is not to say that you can’t pick up some stuff from Hot Topic. There’s nothing wrong with taking a liking to something and picking it up and adding to your style. I truly believe that. I also don’t have room to talk since I’ll be honest, dropping $100 a month on band merch is pretty much the only thing keeping me sane these days. Is that very punk of me? No, probably not. However I’m enclaved in this capitalist hellscape working for $9 an hour on pieces people pay $400 for, so if I need to indulge in buying band merch to keep me sane, so be it. It’s my money and I can do what I want with it, and I’ve also been donating money to trans organizations as well. I also like to thrift and DIY. The piece I’m working on now is a patch I got for like $7 from Hot Topic and a bag from the dollar store and I put the patch on the bag and I’m adding some details. A lot of the patches on my vest came from Hot Topic but a lot also are hand-made from me just buying fabric and going ham with fabric paint. DIY or Die should be the core idea. Thrifting should be the core idea. But it’s also not wrong to pick something up you like here or there. Even then, though, focusing on Etsy and stuff should be the preference. And I’ll shop at Hot Topic over Amazon any day. On that note, it’s okay to have other aesthetics as well. You don’t need to dress punk 24/7. You can have other fashion interests and still call yourself punk. There’s no need to limit or restrict yourself in an effort to not feel like a poser.

Punk is a music-based subculture, but punk music has so many subcategories and bleeds into many other music genres. There are people and perfectionists out there who will demand to draw lines between what is and isn’t punk music, but music is all about taking inspiration from other artists and making it your own, putting your own spin on it. You can get away with listening to any alternative music, whether it be emo music, pop punk, goth music, metal music, ska, etc. Taylor Swift is not punk, though. Neither is really any “pop” artist. Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE listening to indie pop music or whatever. I mean even just Imagine Dragons I love Imagine Dragons, but I’m not kidding myself into saying that it makes me punk to listen to Imagine Dragons. My Chemical Romance on the other hand is totally something is some weird subgenre of punk music. Listen to MCR doesn’t “make” you punk but someone doesn’t have the right to call you out for listening to MCR and calling yourself punk in conjunction to it, like Imagine Dragons, for example. Wishing you had the money to spend $2000 on Taylor Swift tickets does NOT make you punk. The MOST I will spend on concert tickets is $200 and I haven’t hit that yet. I think the most on an actual ticket-ticket I spent was $80 for my FOB concert in a few weeks. Once again: I work for my own money. I work while disabled, and whatever I’m not spending on myself goes towards charity and paying the bills. I’ve seen PTV, FIR, and CTE for $25. Local punk shows cost usually between $5-$10, maybe up to $25 depending. Lots of music is even ~free~! Go see some free music even if it isn’t “punk” music! That’s what’s really punk.

Punk is knowing when to be angry and when to be gentle. I think you do need to be angry to be punk. I started calling myself punk because I WAS angry. I was angry at a lot of things. And I needed a healthy outlet for that anger and this blog was born. I needed a place to yell about the things that bothered me, and slowly that became me reblogging posts about people yelling about the things that bothered them, and those things were not having rights, our rights being taken away, anger at murder by cops, etc. supporting that anger. Punk is NOT about a peaceful approach to everything. If you are against the idea of violence in every scenario then you are not punk. If you object to the phrase “punch Nazis” you aren’t punk. And while we’re at it let’s talk about Nazi punks. They exist. You can’t deny that. They are in fact a subculture of the punk subculture. They are punk, I think, in their own way, because they hate the government and stuff, but not for the right reasons. They want to make it worse. They hate the government like people who stormed the capital on January 6th hate the government. For the *wrong* reasons. And in that way they are posers even if they check the metaphorical boxes. Because punk is also about helping the community. It is about a peaceful and loving touch to those around you. It’s about recycling and planting wildflowers and volunteering for marginalized people. It’s about taking that anger in one hand and that want to see a peaceful and loving society in the other and balancing both. You can be angry all you want, and attend protests and yell all you want, but if you aren’t being kind to the people around you then it’s not really for anything. A better world starts with just doing something nice for someone. That’s attainable. That’s in the now. Don’t set your sights so high you’re missing the opportunity to change the world by putting a smile on someone’s face. But yes: you do need to be angry to be punk.

Punk is about individuality and not asking permission. The first way to not be punk? Going on anon and asking a punk blog if it’s okay to call yourself punk for xyz reason. That’s it, you’ve failed the basic test. Real punks do not ask. They do. Punk is about making it your own. It’s about not caring if you’re “doing it wrong” because you’re doing it YOUR way, and if you followed a set of rules on how to do it then that would automatically make it the WRONG way. The hard and fast rules are really just hate the government, hate cops, hate capitalism, hate bigotry, be angry, listen to music that wasn’t meant for family friendly public radio, dress in a way that freaks the right people out, and start doing some activism. That’s how to be punk.

How do you get into punk? You just do. Where I grew up there was a group of older teens who dressed in all black and had dyed hair and swore and lot and sat around and smoked and drank. They intimidated me. I wanted to be like that when I grow up.

I’m so much more than that though. I’m an angry transmasc, someone who rivals in horror and bloodlust as a metaphor for their own violent nature, who scares people enough they lock their doors. But I’m a girl in her 20s who loves buying lemonade at the local boba tea shop and whose favorite animal is butterflies who loves to sit in grass and make friendship bracelets.

So I find things that fit both of my selves and more. I started listening to Fall Out Boy on a suggestion, and from there I found My Chemical Romance, and all these other bands. I started shopping at Hot Topic and wearing all black with band shirts and giant rubber band bracelets. From there I slowly started experimenting by buying some spike bracelets from Hot Topic and started listening to heavier music. I found people on here who had cool battle jackets and I kept an eye out while thrifting and finally found one of my own. I took the patches it came with and started painting over them. My trans patch used to be Obama. Now it’s transgender. Transgender Obama, if you will. I started listening to people online, who told me stories of cops who killed people for no reason. But I thought cops only killed bad people? Well, it turns out that “bad people” is a pretty good metaphor for “people with darker skin”. I started listening to podcasts and I learned horror stories of the US government doing human testing on populations of black people. Can you imagine? They used to do that shit! But… do we really think they just… stopped? Or did they just get better at hiding it…

Getting into punk is about slowly morphing yourself into someone who listens and takes action. It’s okay if you’re like me and you got into punk because you wanted to dress like the scary older kids in your town or you were just really angry so you started a blog called “polyamorous punk” with the work punk in it, or you just really liked My Chemical Romance as a teen. You don’t have to get into punk because you want to fix everything that’s wrong with the world, but that’s how you end up feeling. Over time though as you mature you learn that’s unrealistic. So you do what you can and support the people who are doing what you can’t.

Hi, hope you're doing well this morning (or evening!) Well, Hot Topic has released a new line of Loki show merchandise, and it leaves me with really just one question:

Why would anyone want to dress like an 1970s County Correctional Facility inmate?!? WHY??? Why would anybody WANT to dress that way?? Willingly? Of their own free will??? Why @valkyrieandstrangeridingaragorn, whyyyyy???

Do they really think Loki made it look that cool, that people would want to actually emulate that look??

The merchandise is a combination of butt-ugly, ridiculous, and just plain creepy. Heavy on the beige. There is one Sylvie-themed outfit and a couple of Loki-themed ones, of course you wouldn't really know it's Loki, it looks more like an emo Inspector Gadget, lol.

Sorry, I just needed to vent. If you want to see it just look up Loki season 2 merchandise on The Direct. I'd provide a link but I can't due to my anonymousness, ha.

Here's the link. At this point, they're not hiding it anymore that this is Sylvie's series, right? Because the merch is pretty obvious. I mean, the Loki-themed merch is all beige crap and entirely related to the TVA...

Because who doesn't want to wear a jacket that says "variant" on the back, right? I love wearing clothes that label me as an inferior being, it's such a turn-on... 🙄

But as if that wasn't bad enough, the only merch related to a Loki is reserved for the Sylvie-themed clothes...

Why is Loki's helmet on Sylvie's dress when she doesn't wear that helmet? That's not hers, that's his. Also... wasn't she so clear that she wanted nothing to do with Loki (hence the alias?). So why is she the only one with Loki-related merch but he isn't?!!

To be fair, she does have one TVA-related merch, but hers is super colourful for some reason.

It's hilarious how they talk about it in the Direct article. "A Loki jacket is available"... huh what? So now the TVA's clothes are Loki's? 🤦‍♀️

Can you imagine Marvel releasing a merch line for Bucky fans but it's Hydra-related? Like, if they said "This jacket is for Bucky fans! It has the Hydra logo on the back and the 'cut off one head, two more shall take its place' motto on the front". It would be in bad taste, right? So why are they releasing TVA merch then calling it Loki's and expecting the fans to get it? 🙈

I don't understand why anyone would want to get this, honestly. The Sylvie-themed stuff? Sure, I can understand that (even though it's super ugly but it's the only one resembling Loki). But the beige TVA clothes? Why would anyone want to wear that...

BTS Reacts to Going to Hot Topic/Spencer's

Hey guys! Look who can actually do titles again because I'm on a computer! This is going to make my life so much easier. I've been using an iPad for a while because my laptop got damaged and now I can play with a lot of the stories that I have in the works! I'm super excited! Keep your eyes out for it!

Requst: I have another bts reaction request! Can you write a bts reaction where you take them to hot topic or Spencer’s? Those are my favorite stores. I just think it’d be cute imagining them going to stores like that! And seeing their reaction to the emo/scene stuff.

Jin

I feel like Jin would be the most unsure about these stores. He's probably the most traditional out of the guys so he's not really the all black and anime nerd kind of guy. Don't me get wrong, I'm pretty sure all of BTS has watched Naruto at the very least, but I don't think he's the type who has anime merch unless he's getting something really cute, like from the Hello Kitty selection. Spencer's would almost be tramautizing to him, honestly. The man would not know what the to do with the spicy section at the back of the store. He's definitely the type to do that kind of shopping online so he is generally very, very uncomfortable.

2. Suga

Yoongi would probably be okay with Hot Topic, I'm not sure he's much of a Spencer's guy though. He's also a little more reserved than some of the other guys so the spicy section is something he would like avoid altogether. However, he would at the very least find some gifts or something for the maknae line. He's the type to generally get easily exhausted by shopping so he's just kind of following behind you, probably holding your hand, and occasionally inspecting things with that little curious head tilt of his.

3. J-Hope

Hoseok is a fashion guy, I'm sure he could find something he liked at either store. However, he might burst into flames upon seeing the spicy section of Spencer's. He's, by no means, a reserved guy but knowing that they're kind of just on display for people to see has him feeling both awkward and very unsure. Being a big shopper, he's likely carrying way more bags than one person should feasibly manage and living his best life.

4. RM

Namjoon wouldn't likely buy anything at either store but he doesn't mind going into either store with you. He's never been much of an emo boy, usually the type to go for comfort with his personal clothing so he doesn't really buy anything. More the type to just offer to buy you purchases for you if you're stuck between a few options. Likely not really bothered by the spicy section.

5. Jimin

Ever seen a kid in a candy store? Yeah? That's Jimin in Hot Topic. It's been proven a couple of times that the maknae line watches a lot of anime so he would be the type to buy a bunch of merch he doesn't need and probably won't wear. Pokemon pajama pants? Sure. Naurto hoody? Absolutely! The man is living his best life. Spencer's isn't much better, the man is definitely walking away with a basket of toys he's way too eager to use and too many t-shirts.

6. V

Taehyung is a much more reserved version than Jimin. What I mean is that he is trying to pretend he's not the most excited person in the universe but his arms are full and there's no carts so the man is struggling. He's not much better in Spencer's. It's a good thing the man is rich because he definitely spent thousands of dollars. He's immune the spicy section, the man's confidence is too high now. He's confidently bought some toys he wants you to use on them and he's determined.

7. Jungkook

Jungkook is worse than Taehyung. He's bought way too much stuff, except it's all black. It's a good thing the boy is stronge because his wallet may be lighter but he has too many bags. I'm not sure he would even be able to see. The cashier honestly looks a little concerned. Did he also do the same thing at Spencer's and now you're not sure you're actually going to fit in the car to ride home? Probably. Did he buy some wild shit at Spencer's and you now have more questions than answers? Also yes.

being back with the band felt great. it was even better this time now that there was no more grudges. i think my new favorite thing to do is hang out with them.

they’ve been really good in practice lately. abe really is the coolest drummer i’ve ever seen. i find myself always focusing on his drums. stephen and chi’s riffs compliment each other very well. and chino’s voice is nothing like anything i’ve heard before. i honestly think if one of them were gone, doesn’t matter who, the band would be incomplete.

a new venue bar named the whiskey junction had just opened up in sacramento and it’s been hot recently. a lot of popular local bands have been playing there lately. i’ve been working my ass off to get this gig because i think they deserved it. i was excited to tell them the big news.

i walked into the garage when they were practicing one of their songs. i sat there on the couch and listened to them. i always enjoyed listening to all of their new stuff. i felt special to be their audience for every song.

right when they finished their song, i jumped up. “you guys will never believe what i was able to pull off!”

“oh yeah? what’d you do?” abe asked curiously.

“i was able to get you guys a gig at the whiskey junction, the new bar in town!”

“no way!!” they all cheered.

“how were you even able to book us, y/n?” chi gave me hug.

“well after a lot of convincing, you can get anything.” i joked.

chino asked “when is it?”

“it’s three weeks from now. they even have a merch table we could use! you guys could sell t-shirts and some cds!”

“oh shit. we have a lot of work to do then.” chino stressed.

“don’t worry you guys. as your assistant, i’ll take care of the merch table. all you guys need to focus on is making sure you sound perfect!”

“i mean, are you sure y/n? we can help we don’t mind.” stephen asked.

“trust me, i got it.” i said excitedly.

“well if that’s the case, i’m taking us out tonight.” chi offered.

chi ended up taking us to this place called hot shots. it was a bar with pool tables and an arcade. i had loads of fun with them. stephen kept beating all of us though. i don’t understand how he’s so good at pool.

i’ve missed having a friend group. high school wasn’t the best. last i recall i had a real friend group was in middle school.

we left hot shots at around 10:30. chino dropped everyone else off first.

“i wanna take you somewhere.” chino told me.

“me? what are you gonna kidnap me?” i teased.

“what? no of course not.” he chuckled nervously. “i just-“ he collected himself. “i just thought you know we haven’t really hung out in a while. i mean we have but i meant just the two of us. like old times.” he shrugged.

“well, where would you like to take me?” i smiled.

“just you wait.” he smiled back.

“no way!” i ran towards the park he took me to. “i can’t believe you remember this place!”

“how could i forget? this is where we would always go when we wanted to sneak out together.” he sat down on his swing. i sat on mine.

there was an awkward tension. i guess it’s just been so long since it’s been the two of us like this. “so, what did you wanna talk about?” i asked hoping it would clear some of the awkwardness in the air.

“do you remember that one time in mr.fredrick’s PE class-“ he giggled in between his sentence. “when we were playing pickleball and i said watch this and hit the pickleball towards mr. fredrick’s bald head?” he started busting up laughing.

i joined him. “yes! then it hit is head so hard it bounced off his head and his glasses fell off!” we both were dying of laughter at this point.

when it quiet down, we both sat there just smiling thinking about the whole situation. chino spoke, changing the topic.

“so, what did you do after high school?”

i knew this question would come. i was kind of embarrassed. “promise you won’t laugh?”

he nodded. “my parents wanted me to go to college but i decided i wanted to take a gap year first. then when i actually did enroll, the more time i spent there, the more i realized college just wasn’t for me. that it was more so my parents dream for me. the thing about me is, i can’t do anything for anyone else besides myself, even my parents. so i ended up dropping out.” i sighed.

“well i mean what’s there to be embarrassed about? i didn’t go to college at all.” he chuckled.

i frowned. “i don’t regret it, i just-“ i paused for a moment. “i’m just scared of being a nobody.” it went silent.

“look y/n, i know that a lot of people have made you feel like a nobody, me included, but i want you to know that people’s words don’t define who you are, your actions do. i was stupid to tell you those nasty things that day, let alone think about it. i took you for granted and today you proved everybody wrong. you did the band a real huge favor and i’ve never been more grateful ever.”

i wanted to cry so bad. i wiped my watery eyes and nervously laughed. “can i hug you?”

“do you even need to ask?” he stood up and offered his hand out to me. when i grabbed his hand, he pulled me into his chest and wrapped his arms around me. he held me as i let out a few tears onto his shirt. he rested his head on mine and we embraced each other. it felt like an eternity holding him. i wish it was an eternity.

i pulled back. “thank you so much chino. i’ve been needing that.”

“anytime y/n.” we sat back down.

“enough about me. what did you do after graduation?”

“summer after graduation was when we started the band. one day we randomly found out stephen knew how to play guitar so we all just randomly decided to start the deftones. i didn’t expect we would take the deftones very seriously and pursue this band as our career but i mean we did.” he chuckled.

“luckily stephen’s uncle had this mechanics garage that was owned by him but he never used it. so he let us takeover on it since he knew we needed a place to practice without disturbing anyone. we worked our asses off to try and establish our sound and who we wanted to be. then we got signed with our record label, maverick and dropped adrenaline. adrenaline was selling pretty well so we started doing lots of more shows. soon we couldn’t handle everything by ourselves since we’re not the most tedious people and boom you got hired as our assistant.”

“i honestly would’ve never thought you would become famous. not that i’m saying i never believed you couldn’t do it but you know what i mean. it’s cool seeing my best friend do good for themselves. at least one of us will make it out of sacramento.”

“pshh what are you talking about? i’m taking you with me.”

i blushed. “you guys will need to get a professional assistant sooner or later. i thought i was only a temporary assistant.”

“are you crazy? you’re the best assistant anyone can ask for. i’d rather have my best friend as an assistant than some weird professional robot who follows my orders. i ain’t no dictator.” he joked making me giggle.

he stared at me for a moment. “wait here.” he got up and ran to his car. he shuffled around in his trunk. his face lit up when he found what he was looking for. it was a blur for a moment until i was able to make out what it was. a polaroid camera.

“what’s that for?” i asked as he was walking back up the the swing. i scrunched my face at him.

“let me take your picture.” he smiled.

i rose my eyebrow. he knew how i felt about having my picture taken. “i don’t know, chino.” i shrugged.

“cmon, y/n, don’t be like that. just this once.” he clasped his hands together and pouted. “please? for me?” damn chino and his irresistible charm.

i smirked and rolled my eyes. “okay fine. but just this once.”

he grinned and got the camera ready. “smile!” i grinned back at him into the camera. the flash blinded me making me squint.

when the photo appeared, i looked at it in disgust. “burn it.”

“oh har har very funny y/n.” he rolled his eyes.

“i’m just saying!” i rose my hands up in defense. “look at how stupid i look!” i said pointing at my face.

“well i happen to like how you look in this photo.” chino chuckled.

i never wanted this night to end. and i think he didn’t want it to end either. we talked and talked and talked. i think we could’ve stayed talking but we started getting tired and i didn’t want chino to be super sleepy since he had to drop me off still.

we pulled up to the front of my house. it was 1:30.

“so, we’re here.”

i sighed. “yeah.” we sat there in silence for a moment. i didn’t wanna go.

“thanks for agreeing to come out with me tonight. i had a lot of fun.” he smiled.

“me too chino.” i kissed his cheek before i got out of the car. i smiled and waved bye to him. he waited till i got inside to drive off.

Koru hadn't been to a mall in at least a decade. From what he knew of the modern world, they weren't all that popular anymore in most universes. So when Ori insisted they go on an "emergency family mall trip" because Finch had never been to a Build-a-Bear, he was surprised to say the least.

As they walked down the busy aisleways of the megaplex, Koru eyed a store he hadn't set foot in since he stopped wearing eyeshadow. A wave of nostalgia punched him in the chest, and he couldn't help himself.

Once Ori and Finch were out of sight, he turned away from the shoe store he said he would stop at and strolled into the Hot Topic across the way.

The demon smiled and thanked the employee that greeted him as he headed inside. It was small, packed with fandom merch, and proudly displayed rows upon rows of pop culture t-shirts. The inventory had changed a lot; but they looked to still have some good stuff (he had to stifle a laugh when he found a Death Note hoodie his younger self would have loved).

"Scuse me," called an oddly familiar voice behind him. "Do you guys have jewelery or chains on sale?"

Koru turned around to answer. "Oh, sorry, I don't work h-" but he stopped dead in his tracks upon seeing who he was speaking to.

She had shimmering violet hair like the feathers of a raven. Her eyes were a bright, almost silvery color. She was tall and lanky and pale, almost like she had one foot in the grave.

But it was her. It had to be.

Eyes wide and voice trembling, the demon spoke. "...Sandy?"

The woman stared at him blanklu for a moment, before suddenly gasping. "Holy shit- Koru-?!"

"S- Sandy! My hells, I thought you were- what are you- I-"

"I can explain," she responded quickly, a nervous smile flashing onto her face. "But first I'm gonna need a hug."

Koru didn't hesitate to pull her into an embrace, fighting back his tears in hoped they wouldn't dirty his glasses. "I never thought I'd see you again."

Sandy took in a shaking breath of her own. "Neither did I. But look at us now." She was the first to pull away from the hug, looking down at him with warmth in her eyes.

As they pulled away, Koru took a second to clear his throat and calm down. "So... what are you doing here? I thought you..." he trailed off, not wanting to say it out loud.

Sandy sighed, straightening out her shirtsleeves. "I did. And I shouldn't have... it was a stupid decision, even if it got me where I am now."

That shook the demon, knowing what he'd last heard of her had been the truth. "And... where exactly is that?"

Her smile brightened again, and from the waist of her belt, she brandished a silver pocketwatch. On its lid was the emblem of a crossed pair of scythes fronted by a skull. "Closer to you now."

Koru's bittersweet joy made way for shock, then realization, then pride and happiness. "You're a reaper?"

Sandy nodded, opening the watch and checking the face. "I'm here on a job, actually. I work for a purgatory and collect souls who passed thebsame way I did," she explained, before adding, "And I've been looking for your hell in the meantime."

That meant a lot to him. To think his first true friend had been looking for him even after her death... it almost justified the tragedy. "Well- hey, my door's always open. My hell is connected to this universe, so... now you know."

She huffed and smiled. "What about you? Did you get summoned with mayonnaise this time?" she joked, causing Koru to laugh as well.

"No, actually, I'm... I'm here with my kids," he replied, feeling a little bashful to admit that.

"Kids?" Her smile turned a little more playful. "You really adopted that angel boy, then?"

Koru's smile fell immediately, a pang of remorse shocking his heart at the memory. "...not him. He's... not around anymore."

Sandy watched his expression, and grimaced as she realized she had touched a sore spot. Rather than asking about it, she redirected the subject to the present. "Well... who's here now? That's what matters most, right?"

Koru met her gaze again, remembering that was something he had said to her all those years ago, and his smile returned to him.

"I'll introduce you."

How tiktok is the reason i got into theatre except its not at all how you think it is

Okay tik tok. Tiktok right? Right. So tiktok shoed me this clip of toggos woozle goozle in like,,, what? 2017? And i literally just wanted to find that one episode bc i was really interested in that topic they were explaining (i dont even remember it anymore lmao) (yes i know this is the worst tiktok thing to fall for. Yes it still happened.) sonthere i was. No clue what episode it was. So naturally i skip through all of them to find the right one yes? I found myself get really invested in woozle goozle and even when i found the episode i kept watching cthrough that shit. NOW this is were i first hear about starlight starlight express. I have been to theatre and musicals before obviously and i liked it but i never really cared about it too much. But starlight express? Staight express was different. Starlight express just had smt of home to it. So for months on months i just yearned for this fucking show, buyed the soundtrack (i didnt know english at the time but i accidentally bought it in english so i bought it twice lmao), i tried finding bootlegs (but this stage is barely possible to get a bootleg), i buyed merch, i read all about it online. Then christmas came and WHAT?! I GET TO GO TO STARLIGHT EXPRESS?! OMFG?! So on april 18th the following year (yes i remember the date fuck u) i got to see the newest adaptation in bochum. I have never felt such chills in my entire life (and i gotta say i don’t think that i’m gonna, anytime soon). And so i first started obsessing with a musical. Now two years went by, i saw the lion king in london and loved it but tbh i didn’t obsess over it even near the amount i obsess over other stuff. Mind you it is now 2019 and i have adhd. I have never had a hyper fixation last this long. This is when i start to understand the world a bit more. I realise gay people…. Exist? I mean obv i knew they exist but where i was it was smt rly rly special and i never even considered it tbh. I search up what lgbtq+ means and my suggestions are now not only starlight express anymore but also gay shit (lmao who would’ve thought this is how i turn out) and algorithm was algorithm-ing and gave me: ✨Bi Electra✨. Now this is when i first even saw other sides/perspectives to the whole show (and generally, the concept of fandom) and i re-obsessed over this thing that i never even un-obsessed with(?). I got into some more musicals, saw sone bootlegs ykyk. Beetlejuice had a local production and i alsi went to see sister act, little shop if horrors and frozen on ice (this was the girst one i saw in English). 2020 came and with it: covid. I got into other fandoms thinking i cant go see musicals anyway. I have given up to find movies of musicals and i had no idea the bootlegs were a thing. I only ever tried to find snt that i know now is called a bootleg for stex and i didnt find anyghing so naturaly i never tried again lmao. With other fandoms coming along, i started to leave starlight express behind. And so tiktok cames back into play. Dream smp. I had no fucking clue what these people that i kept getting on my fy were. It took me a really depressing gnf fanart to finally give in and get into that fandom that pushed everything else of my for you page. That’s when maria Reynolds walked into my life (sorry i had to say this). You probably know how the whole L’Manberg arc started with hamilton being watchable. So i not only got into the dream smp (and let me tell you i was down bad for the dsmp) but even more into Hamilton. It was only about a year ago i started realising i was gay and then this actress is introduced to me and she is so fucking hot and i thought i was envying her but it turns out it was just me being really fucking gay-. I started translating it and you know the rest. Well basically what happened then was me realising that i love musicals. Ive seen a lot of musicals but that never really,,, conected(?) in my brain… ig. And there is went obsessing over musicals as a whole. I knew english at this point btw. In 2022 our local theatre opened again because it was mainly outdors so yeah yk.

I was falling into a major depression at the time shutting myself off since quarantine yk. So my mom forced me out of my room. And suprise suprise it was the best thing that could have happened to me. Little shop of horrors opened again wooo. Anyway so i tried to find more and more musicals also on tiktok and i saw newsies. I was avoiding it for a good three months but i don’t remember why and i know love it more than myself lmao. Anyway uk’sies became a thing and so newsies started trending and it was watched a lot more and so it showed up on my disney+. I went “oh fuck it let’s give it a try” and have never been the same lol.

Yeah and you know the rest.

So yes. When i say that the dream smp connects to newsies for me, that’s not a joke.
