This is Nugget, their a chinchilla!! And one of the first characters you guys will see in ep1
Poor choice of frames mb guys again, but this is Frost and he's an artic fox. He's like, the only character thats a minor btw (canonly however he is ageless, but for here hes a minor, rest of the characters are adults around in their 20s)
This is Handy, yes hes based off of the happy tree friends one HEAVILY (praying we dont get sued because this was not my idea guys), he owns the house that the rest of the main characters stay in and he is a beaver
And lastly, we are not revealing this guys name yet but it will be revealed in later episodes. He is a tabby cat, he's more of a reoccuring side character but he might gain a bigger role eventually idk man

it's different from Mik but I've truly come to love Claude. And yes, unlike Mik and MC, Claude and his MC are aware of their growing bond... Sometimes MC wonders if he feels for her, and he... he says she's his exclusive princess. The only one who could see the real him. Thats just so sweet. From the tyranny to how he grew... I truly admire how far he's come. I am so looking forward to more of him and everyone. Cause seriously, everyone in this title is so loveable. Mik and Wataru were the ones that caught my eye initially but now Claude joins the list. Pretty sure Koto's story also gonna be winsome. I expect Koto's story will release in May and Wataru's in June... can't wait absolutely 💯 😌
BTW Mik and MC share the total BFFs kinda rapport which is adorable. As Mik mentions he's the only one who holds feelings for her but I don't think they are too deep. At least not as Claude's. Mik and MC have a long way to go, especially MC as she's totally clueless what she feels for Mik. And she swoons over Zeus (I don't blame her. I love her and this story, and Mik and Zeus.)
I think to someone like Claude who has a rough past, MC is his light. So obviously, he sees her for who she is and is quick to acknowledge she's special. That said, Claude's story is still a slow burn. Perfect mix of romance, friendship, bonds, emotions and dreams, and the ending is so wholesome and satisfying.

parallels between dgs music pieces
good morning guys i am procrastinating on my chemistry again so im finally writing this but liek basically pursuit and kazumas theme are both based off of the c minor scale i think. here is me writing out the notes (i hate melodic dictation) [dgs1&2 spoilers ahead]
sorry 4 the cropping (btw this the one rising part asougis theme has in the middle)
anyways i gave up putting down the values of the notes because this was jut to get a general idea of what was going on and i think pursuit might actually be in 3/4 or 6/8 but samurai w/ a mission is def a steady 4. also i think both pieces are technically modal (probably dorian cuz they sound vaguely minor but not quite evil) but the parts in question are built off of the Cm pentatonic rather than the whole diatonic. Does that mean anhything?? idk. maybe its like all five people in the game like ryu, sholmes, susie, iris, and asougi for the main characters. I dont think it means nothing cuz at one point a teacher said that nothing is unintentional in music and idk even just looking at the motion theyre both like going in contrary motion (pretend these r 2 voices in one piece) and sound vastly different despite using the same scale. Like pursuit goes (srry no qualities) 8 2 3 2 2 3 4 2 3 3 while asougi's goes like 3 U 2 U 2 U 3 U etc. actually i just realized disregarding the 8 they both heavily utilize 3 & 2 (grrr... eighteenth century voice leading guidelines... using mostly stepwise motion and a few skips and leaps...) which actually i think moreso represent the time period rather than anything about the characters themselves.
also speaking of voicing i think almost all of the same insturments are used for both pieces (basic string 4 and koto?) which just draws more parallels ig but also again reflects the setting and backgrounds of the characters too... which avctually i remembred the evil version of asougis theme also utilizies this same rising motion iirc just a different rhythm which should probably bring me to another point... pursuit is used a lot in dgs 2 and u could tbh say revived prosecutor is just asougis objection which tbh i think thats where i should have headed from the get go but im literally just writing down what im thinking. The fact that theyre now on opposite sides of the courtroom reflects the different motions each piece uses to create the contrast between them, while the repeated 3 and 2 intervals serve to create parallels between them as thats pretty much what the final case does lmao
anyways overall i think that i have a solid basis but maybe i am wrong bc i saw another arrangement of samurai with a mission in Dmaj (Bm) w/ tonal center at D so i would bet it changes modes at one point rather than staying maj? Bc the piece doesnt sound major enough yet it cant be minor because it doesnt sound minor enough. Revived prosecutor on the other hand i think thats just straights Cm...please pray for me so i dont fail music theory...sorry for spelling errors...gootbye guys...

the Mario Movie Post
ok SO heres a more expansive post listing my Thoughts on the mario movie. HUGE spoiler warning under the cut btw
it was....good! i keep comparing it to the sonic movies in my head bc thats what ive seen a lot of other ppl doing, and i think, compared to those movies, this one is a “safer” adaptation of the source material; and ofc this isnt an inherently good or bad thing, but it may influence ur opinion if u were expecting a more derivative adaptation like the sonic movies, which take more risks and creative liberties. id rank the mario movie below sonic 2 (the greatest movie of all time btw), but idk if id put it above or below sonic 1; ultimately, like i said, it depends on whether u prefer the adaptation thats “safer” or “riskier” in terms of what its trying to accomplish.
anyway, here r some things i rly liked abt the movie!! warning for me gushing abt bowser bc im in love with him btw ASDLJKADS
bowser is the greatest character in the entire thing ofc. not surprising at all ASLKJDSLKJDS my big beautiful monster husband he is SOOOO GOOOODDD like.....hes the most expressive, full of personality, and jack black gives an AMAZING performance as him. his fucking song???? the princess peach love song??? beautiful. lovely. i love bowser so fucking much......like yeah he “kidnaps people” and “tries to kill innocents” or whatever but errmmm he does it in the name of love so its ok uwu my big strong cuddly ferocious teddy bear i love him I LOVE HIIMMMMM KLASJDKLJASDLKJ HES SO PERFECT HES A SWEET LOVEY DOVEY DORK BUT HES ALSO FUCKED UP EVIL AND POWERFUL AND WILLING TO CRUSH ANYONE WHO STANDS IN HIS WAY GOOOODDDDD I WANT HIM SO BAD
animation is gorgeous, including the environments and character models. say what u want abt illumination but u have to admit their actual animation game is pretty damn good and this film is no exception
i rly appreciate all the references and easter eggs! i like how they used music from the games in various ways, and how they incorporated the different worlds/levels.
i LOVE the little additional bits of lore they added!!! ive been a huge Mario Lore Enthusiast pretty much since i first learned how to use the internet so this was very satisfying to my autistic brain ALSKJLKDASJ
as far as specific lore elements go, i loved getting to see mario and luigi’s parents (+ extended family!!!). u dont understand for the longest time the only CANON picture we had of mario and luigis parents were these images from the end of yoshis island ASKLDJSLAKDJ so im very happy we got more detailed designs for them
i love the backstory they gave princess peach!! ive always wondered why she rules the mushroom kingdom despite not being a toad. i hope they expand on her story more if they ever make a second movie bc i think it would be rly interesting to know more abt where she came from!!
i LOOOVE the kongs so so much......ty mario movie for finally ending the debate abt whether or not dk is cranky kongs son or grandson SALKJDALKSJ also i love dk’s characterization in this too, his friendly rivalry w mario was rly funny
i love love LOOOVVE the sibling dynamic between mario and luigi. Bro They Are Bros
i like the incorporation of the power-ups and how they work
king bob-omb is there. i like him :)
and now for some criticisms (note that these r all pretty minor, there wasnt rly anything i Disliked abt the movie which is admittedly more than i can say abt the first sonic movie actually LKSAJLKD):
a lot of the characters just kinda felt flat, especially compared to bowser who has the most personality. luigi is the only one i can think of who has any kind of significant “arc.” peach, toad, and dk dont rly have any kind of significant character growth, while mario’s arc is just kinda....He Learns To Get Better At Fighting And Navigating The Mushroom Kingdom i guess. to be fair mario games in general arent rly known for focusing on character development (w some exceptions like the rpgs, but none of that development is rly focused on mario himself), but that ultimately just made this movie’s writing pale in comparison to the sonic movies (which arent perfect (except for the second one) but still)
luigi didnt rly do much throughout the whole thing.....i liked him a lot in the beginning, but he spends most of the movie being captured. i DID like the fight scene at the end where mario and luigi team up to beat the shit out of bowser tho!! i just wish we got to spend a little more time with luigi so his arc had a more satisfying conclusion
Why didnt they credit grant kirkhope for the dk rap. wtf nintendo/illumination
but yeah those r my Thoughts. overall it was a pretty good movie, id maybe give it like....7/10? 7.5/10? it wasnt Great but it was good. definitely better than the Other mario movie thats for sure LKASJFLKJS

Analysis of Mickey Milkovich's Bedroom Part Two
Okay so this is part two of my analysis of Mickey Milkovich's bedroom. I had a ton of great comments on part one but unfortunately this is a sideblog and I can't respond to comments </3 But I did see you, and I love you and appreciate your comments and here is part 2 as I promised!!!
Warning, this mentions season 11, and there's a minor spoiler!!
@milkovichy said Mickey was a closeted MCR fan in his early teens and yes, 10000% percent and my proof is that I just know. He listened to all the emo shit like MCR, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Blink-182, Linkin Park, Pierce the Veil, the works.
So @tidalrace brought up the scene where Mickey went to the club in season 4 and had the badge so there we go kids, Mickey definitely has a "stealing a badge from a cop" story.
And @trrriple-rrr said the words on the doodle look like "I <3 dogs" and honestly yes. In season 11 Mickey mentions wanting to get dogs, specifically pitbulls (I think he also mentions it in season 10), so Mickey is definitely a dog guy and wrote "I <3 dogs" on his paper like a nerd.
They also mentioned that a clean reason for the candles would be because the Milkovichs probably don't pay their lights often and honestly yes. They're right, and maybe they should be doing this instead of me 😭
@depressedstressedlemonzest (love your user btw) mentioned the bones and honestly stop reading my mind!!! Here's my analysis of the bones:
Okay so here are the two bones in question. The first one looks like a Halloween prop, with the slight angle and the lack of bottom jaw bone thats very stereotypical of Halloween props so that's what I'm guessing that one is but...
If you look at the top there seems to be a difference in coloration so I think it might be a container. Whether it came like that or he turned it into one, he definitely uses it for weed.
The next skull looks very fake I'm guessing it's an incense/candle holder or ashtray because skulls are very popular in those areas.
They also mentioned the animals skulls, which, while looking for all the animals skulls I found this:
Yeah there are some animal skulls (remember in season 11 when the Milkovichs had that dear they 'hunted' and then they put the head in the house) I'd be willing to bet its a tradition in the Milkovich house to bring back random ass animals you killed including that alligator head you see there.
Here is my stance on all of this: the bones in the top picture I am guessing are from hunting and then Mickey kept em cause they look cool. And the alligator head was definitely a gift from Iggy. Iggy had been busy working with his dad and stealing and getting drunk and had forgotten it was Mickey's birthday and then halfway through the day Mandy mentions it and Iggy is like "oh shit what do I have laying around"... a taxidermied alligator head.
"But Mr. Gallavich," you ask, "how did you get from hunted to taxidermied, taxidermy takes years of skill and practice-"
I WAS LOOKING IN THE CORNER AND I WAS LIKE OH WHATS THAT SO I BRIGHTENED THE IMAGE AND BOOM TAXIDERMIED SNAKE
I would bet money, and lots of it, that Iggy enjoys taxidermying animals and then giving them to his family.
And then I was like oh I should brighten the other image and see what I can find-
BOOM TAXIDERMIED BIRD
I am right and I will die on my Taxidermist Iggy hill.
And then I was like oh I should look at the drawings, see if I can see those words better...
I think... I think that says "I ❤️ drugs"... it would make sense in the context since it's half written above the dude smoking a blunt but I want it to be dog lover Mickey so I am wrong and it is dogs, end of story.
Next is this:
Is that a camera?? Definitely stolen but that is a camera.
Photographer Mickey? Photographer Mickey.
Photographer Mickey taking pictures of his siblings while they're sleeping. Photographer Mickey taking pictures of horizons and cityscapes from the tops of abandoned buildings. Photographer Mickey going to the North/West Side where no one knows him so he can just walk around, camera out, taking pictures of whatever he wants. Photographer Mickey saving up for a phone with a good camera and then posting them anonymously online. Photographer Mickey getting a ton of love, and now everyone is raving about this mystery South Side photographer that no one knows the real name of.
Photographer Mickey seeing sleeping Ian for the first time and unable to stop himself form taking a picture and then he's addicted and he takes a picture of Ian at every chance. Then he decides he's going to tell Ian about his interest and his hands are shaking around the camera and he better not drop it because this shit is expensive and then he spits it out and Ian is just enthralled. Wants to see all his pictures and compliments every single one of them and wants to take him places with good views and casually mentioning "that would make a cool picture" while they're walking down town and then finally Ian sees a picture Mickey took of him for the first time and he almost cries because he can just tell Mickey loves him from the lighting and the care taken and how there's just so many fo them and he decides he can wait as long as Mickey needs till Mickey is comfortable to say it out loud. So yeah, Photographer Mickey.

My Campaign 2 Thoughts
Alrighty folks. We're here. We made it. I’m running on like, 3 hours of sleep and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet so bear with me if I ramble/don't make sense. I’ll take things by character I think?
Once I finally typed everything I wanted out, I decided to put a keep reading thing. Its a long one I’m so sorry haha. But yeah, click on it if you want to hear someone’s tired ramblings about how much they love the Mighty Nein. Obviously spoilers below... <3
One last thing - I want to say thank you to everyone who I have interacted on here with. I would have never, ever thought that I would live blog Critical Role when I started watching it. And because I have, it makes me happy that I’ve found lots of nice Critters like me to follow, like, reblog, laugh and cry with all at the same time. You guys are really cool, so thanks for letting me be a small part of it all <3
Molly/Kingsley -
I’m honestly not fully shocked that we didn’t get Molly back after all that. I think Tal has said that Molly is gone and will stay gone. Maybe this is how Molly was when he first woke up, but we obviously didn’t see that part, and neither did Yasha. So honestly, the only people to know would be the people down at the circus. I’m personally okay with the differences in Kingsley and Molly but I like that Kingsley wanted to call Molly his brother at least and learn about him later on. Remember when Molly said he didn't want to learn who his previous self/selves were? The pirate life for Kingsley is --- interesting haha. I’m not hating it, I can definitely see a Jack Sparrow kind of vibe. I just didn't think Tal would go for a pirate type life for him. Thats all :)
Cad -
I’m also not surprised at what Cad chose either. It was interesting to see his whole EMPATHY routine with Trent. Thats been a side of Cad no one has seen. I know I’ve seen some people say that they were sad that after all this adventuring, that Cad would just chose to live at the Blooming Grove and never leave again. But didn't Tal say that Cad would take walks out of there and explore for segments of time? Like 6 months, then a year, then a couple years. I could have sworn he said that and that he would go visit his friends in those spans too. But I could have totally imagined it/took it that way.
Veth-
This totally makes sense. I was sad to see her go before the whole Trent thing, I would have loved to see her stand by Calebs side during it but I get it, She missed her family and they would see each other again anyway. I 100% would love if the M9 had a summer camp. Like, I’m just saying. That needs to be a one shot. I don't have much else to say other than I’m glad that this is the ending for Veth and nothing else.
Yasha-
Again, I’m super happy with this one. It makes sense that she would want to go see her wife and the whole Stormlord thing???? Fucking awesome. I’m glad that Yasha has finally found peace and love with someone and is content. Thats all I want for Yasha. I’m glad that Kingsley seeks her out to find out about Molly too.
Beau -
WOW. Okay. So not only does she help take down Trent but also her dad stuff? Fucking great! I’m so glad that Beau has gotten to this point in her life. Not only has she brought down corrupt people, but also learned to love throughout everything she's been through. I’m sorry, I with my tired brain can think of more good things but I’m just super happy about this.
Fjord -
For some reason, Fjord’s ending made me cry. I don't know if its because its been awhile since we’ve gotten true Fjord lore stuff where Travis absolutely NAILS the roleplaying or what. But literally as soon as he raised his hand to say hi to Vandran, I started crying. He’s been looking for answers for so long and he finally got them. I think its very on brand that he just sailed out willy nilly knowing what happens but at least Matt was merciful haha. I think That plus his love for Jester and suggesting they find a place was so very sweet and totally them. I’m sort of glad that he left his ending so vague. Because imagine the sea one shots we can have with Fjord going to Darktow or finding Sabien once and for all etc.
Jester -
I’m --- I’m torn with Jester. I’m glad that Jester wants to travel more and see the world still and thats what she's doing with Fjord. I think I’m more of torn just because I’m so used to Jester being SO over the top with everything she does (in a good way) but then I guess that means she's maturing and growing up. I’m glad that she left her ending vague as well for the same reasons as Fjord. SIDENOTE: It’ll be interesting to see if any of this leads into the VM vs M9 show off and if there's going to be canon involved or what.
Caleb -
I left Caleb for last. Not only because he's been my favorite character all campaign long. But because most of the buzz is coming from his ending. I’ll preface this first --- I’ve never been an outright Essek/Caleb shipper. I’ve loved their moments together and am not against them in any shape or form. I’m just not one of the die hards shippers. Same with Caleb/Astrid/Wulf.
BUT - With that being said, I’m very happy with Calebs ending. I’ve seen some people that are mad that he didn't do what he set out to do - which was take down the corruption. But Liam said that he sees that aspect of his life as a life long endeavor. So just because he takes up the teaching gig - which I’m so happy with btw; more on that in a bit- doesn't mean he stopped. You can root out the corruption from within and I think Caleb started to realize that was going to be the best way. I’m glad he didn't take the place of Trent. I think things could have gone horribly wrong even if he was at the top. Am I thrilled that Astrid is there? Not particularly no but its better than Trent. Caleb being a teacher makes so much sense. At the beginning of the campaign, Nott was always telling people that Caleb was the one teaching her the magic she had, plus the trading notes with Yussa and Essek over the years. It all leads to him teaching. Finally being the teacher --- the right teacher for the future generations of wizards. He was never going to accomplish that in Trents place.
Now --- the elephant in the room, Essek. I’m 100% okay with this part of Caleb’s story. I’m glad that he did go back to Aeor and learn what he could. I think its what Essek said. That he wouldn't change his past because it led him to that moment with Caleb, but then still offered to help Caleb if thats what he wanted to do for himself. I’m happy that Caleb finally let go of the part of his past that kept his guilt so present. He’ll always remember his parents and what he did, but he's allowing himself to walk through that door and to start finally healing. Let me tell you how much I ugly cried when we finally heard what his plan had been all these years AND what that second book was that he never told us about. Liam O’Brien you poetic son of a bitch I love you so much. But damn did I ugly cry literally during that whole time. Okay sorry, now Essek. I think them realizing the age differences, being in the relationship for however long they were but then remained friends is so very much like both of them. They are both logical people. To me this makes so much sense. I think I’m in the minority here but it does. Essek will outlive the rest of the M9 so of course they realized eventually there was going to be this elephant in the room when Caleb grew old. I’d like to think Caleb wouldn't want the extra heartbreak on Essek when Caleb eventually dies, then the rest of Essek’s friends die on top of that. Liam said that this campaign, romance in any shape or form was not a priority and I think also that had a part to do with it. I’m glad Caleb just didn’t be alone for the rest of his life and only teaching. I’m glad he reached out to Essek and did that stuff, and then taught Luc. It’s far from the sad wizard boy who was ready to leave the M9 at a moments notice to be alone.
Sorry for the rambling and VERY LONG post. oh my god I’m so sorry but it just kept coming. haha I’m very sad to see the Mighty Nein go. This campaign was the reason I got into D&D and where I fell in love with it. I fell in love with these nerdy ass voice actors and their characters. BUT it makes me excited for campaign 3 and the future of Critical Role.
SIDENOTE: WHAT THOUGHTS DO YOU GUYS HAVE ON THE PROJECT THEYRE GOING TO ANNOUNCE NEXT WEEK HUH? I’m glad they mentioned that they aren't ready for Campaign 3 just yet, but Marisha made it at least seem that its on the horizon. I’m sure they want to take the break they deserve and have time to transition from their M9 characters to their new ones. so yeah anyway

Since they didn't become heroes when they were LITERALL CHILDREN (thank you for this addition), do they still help solve cases while in the manor and are they allowed to visit JL meetings (just the minor things)? Or is superhero work strictly off limits?
they do get some training for self defense because they rly just end up in so many shitty situations all the time because im a terrible person SFJOFSEJOFSEJ !!!!
and they’ve met most of the JLA who are all mostly their emotional relatives,,,, they do go on the tower from time to time, when one of them is sick and bruce has to go there bc he cant jst Go to the watchtower when one of his BABY is SICK yk,,, thats actually how tim n bart meet hehe,,,
they all sneak into the batcave enough for bruce to give up and let them in through the front door, tim does love to solve mysteries and is rly good detective. he probs become an investigation journalist down the line btw oesfosfejosefjo. dick grew used to keeping his body in shape using training from the batcave and then the tower when bruce allowed him to come (and then he sneaked in to see his fav uncle n aunt clark n diana n also his Friends (donna n wally n garth n roy!!!!) and he’s just a familiar face in the watchtower even tho he’s,,, not a hero and he doesnt want to be,,, he runs coms for people sometimes tho !!!!
jason stays mostly away from it. he knows self defense, he’s Good, he’s a fighter, but he doesnt want to use it, he jst wants peaceful things and to read books and study,,, he does like to see the Extended family and he gets along with younger/young adult heroes and kids of other heroes too,,, he doesnt have many friends other wise,,, baby
cass is very happy to not be asked to do more violent stuff, and duke never became a vigilante. bruce helps him w his powers tho !!! w other leaguers..... n as i said before steph stops being spoilers and never becomes robin or batgirl after the whole cluemaster thing is done.
so mostly th JLA is part of their life and family but they’re not heroes, none of them will be, because i want them to have smth else in life,,, sobs gently,,,, but they still have a lot of relationships there !!!!
