this literally made me tear up bc like yes!! Buggy def felt it, this distance, that was never intentional on Rogers part, or even like, true. But it certainly came across that way to buggy and like, every now and then I remember how buggy got his devil fruit abilities like, he was literally making plans to take off and go his own way. It’s heartbreaking but maybe he wanted so bad to prove himself, to make them see him in Roger’s image. As a successful pirate, on his OWN bc he didn’t believe the others thought he could get there.

like I see the occasional, Roger would be and Rayleigh is disgusted with buggy posts that are like “oh buggy is everything the Roger parents aren’t, he doesn’t value nakama he was gonna leave them” etc. when like. First of all. They’re pirates. Like yeah okay some of them do good but we don’t actually KNOW much of the Rogers pirates save that they are pirates and probably the best of their time. So idk where the disgust conversation comes in from. Second—they raised this kid. They KNEW he was greedy as hell. And they loved this greedy shit. I think that whole “I’m gonna leave” reads more of a hurting kid making a backup plan, or even just, wanting so bad to prove himself—only to find himself relying on them once more as he loses the ability to swim.

Yes to everything!! No one ever talks about how Buggy, aged roughly 12, was so prepared to just run away from the Oro Jackson and make it out there on his own. How sad is that? I wonder how inferior or unwanted he felt to decide on such thing. He was willing to leave behind people he loved because he didn't feel, or see that love back, even though those people would have killed for him.

Thank God I haven't run into some bullshit post saying Roger and Rayleigh would be disappointed. That's literally their baby... Seriously though, I feel like Buggy is one of the few characters that is exactly as he seems. What you see is what you get. He makes his priorities and wants very clear and he's not ashamed of being selfish. That man's not evil or a bad person, he clearly cares about his crew, and he's not hiding anything from anyone. He reminds me a lot of Luffy in that way actually, because as people grow into adulthood they tend to become more secretive. They'll hide their bad intentions, put on socially acceptable masks to be perceived as good no matter what they are actually like on the inside. But children, they haven't learned that yet. Because that's literally a learned social behaviour. Both Buggy and Luffy are like kids in this regard, what they think on the inside is clearly reflected in their actions. And what's purer than that?? Even if Buggy isn't necessarily a good person, he's nowhere near bad either. And as you said, Roger and Rayleigh already knew he was a greedy kid, and they still loved him. Because pirates are supposed to be greedy anyway!!! Everyone seeks something, it's only natural. For Buggy, it's treasure, like it is freedom for Luffy. There's no way Roger, Rayleigh, or even Shanks could ever be disappointed in Buggy because he hasn't done anything wrong. He is still the same old Buggy they knew, he hasn't changed one bit. And they love him for that.

Also reminder that every pirate out there has done some bad things, that's like their whole thing. Even Luffy does some of those things, like stealing, which is one of the things I love about One Piece but that's a whole other discussion. So, no, again, Buggy's not bad. He's just a greedy pirate. And I love him for that.

god i'm trying to think of things about devin that i haven't already said. she's an exhausted chronically ill mess who's filled with undying rage, she's a predestined martyr who keeps delaying sainthood by Stubbornly Staying Alive, she's a snarly cunt and somehow also much kinder than anyone expects her to be....

rafi spent a good chunk of time earlier today laying in bed with me and doing analysis of the quartet, which is Amazing. everyone get yourself a rafi who will analyze a story you haven't even written yet with you. we talked a Lot about devin's relationships to the other three quartet members, so that's what's on the brain right now.

bc like. devin's relationship with nova is godawful, obviously. fated soulmates, arranged marriage, forced family siblings, whatever you want to call it, they are Not Good For Each Other. devin is so fucking angry at nova for everything that's happened between them, nova is so fucking desperate to make devin be Good, and the two of them are the only ones who can understand their own specific illnesses, so they remain codependently tangled up in each other.... it would be a lot easier if their relationship was an uncomplicated, loveless political marriage. that they both have complex feelings for each other is what's killing them.

devin's relationship with sol is a lot less complicated on the surface, but not exactly healthy, either. the two of them have suffered similar trauma at the hands of similar (sometimes the exact same) people, they both have an undying rage toward The System (TM), they both like killing people and having weird sex about it, etc. sol is out here like "i'm evilly manipulating you" and devin is like "it's not evilly manipulating me if i fully want to do this and know you're trying to manipulate me" while sol is like "Let Me Have This,"

but devin and RUBY.

rafi and i talked So Much about devin and ruby.

bc on the surface, sol is everything that nova isn't. ie: she's a mean bitch with no friends, who sucks. and ruby, on the other hand, is Nice. and patient. and sweet.

and devin finds that..... Fucking Terrifying.

bc they recognize that demeanor from nova. and nova is only nice and patient and sweet in service of an agenda. and ruby doesn't seem to have an agenda.

so what...... what Does she want.

there are Several Key Events that influence how devin's perception of ruby changes, i won't get deep into them here because i should save at least Some scenes for the actual book. but there's something about like... devin's inability to believe that ruby genuinely respects people's autonomy, because of their relationship with nova. and how ruby's overtures of friendship make devin want to climb out of his skin.

and there's also something to ruby being a mixed Black woman with a noticeable 'foreign' accent, and devin being a dark-skinned transfem person who doesn't know her birth parents & was raised in nova's Deeply Colonialist culture. the two of them sharing experiences with regards to gender and sexuality and race and ethnicity that nova and sol don't.

sol is from the same country as ruby and shares her native language -- but she has also done So Much to assimilate and get rid of her accent and culture and even parts of her name. ruby and devin have similar experiences with being visibly part of a diaspora, feeling out-of-place, navigating where they stand in tachni and in the broader world. devin and ruby also share a desire to protect and help people that sol and nova typically do not.... what with nova desperately wanting to preserve the status quo, and sol wanting to burn everything down without caring what the consequences are.

there's A Lot happening with them. their relationship probably has the most potential to be Functional, but that doesn't mean it's boring or conflict-free. devin and ruby have so much conflict it is Fucking Unbelievable. but they both genuinely want what's best for the other, which is.... something that neither of them are used to having in a partner.

Lmao I looked at the comments under my Reddit anon post. And I just wanted to respond because, lol I wasted two years?? Where?? Check my Reddit history lmfao. The last year I haven’t even been active in the Kate/anthony subs! Plus posting a comment takes all of, what, 10 seconds? I don’t live online like some people.

I said a lot of nice things about Simone that people overlook because I said I thought it was weird she wasn’t booking quickly, good lord. As for liking Siena? J did like her in s1, but I have plenty of comments stating I wouldn’t want her back for 3. I think the actress who played her did a good job 🥴. I’m not a fan of either of them, as in, I don’t follow their careers and only know about what’s posted on fauxmoi or something like that. Do I HAVE to be a super fan of Simone? Some of you guys hate JB but know his entire schedule.

As for Cynthia, what have I said about her? lol I don’t really know anything about her other than she can sing. She also had her own affair scandal, but I know little of it. She DOES have haters because, if I recall correctly, she said something off about American black women years ago. That would be something for you all to research, if you cared, which I’m sure many of you don’t. I, actually, recently spoke about how I hated how interviewers don’t being her UP when speaking about wicked.

And well, as for Ariana, yeah, I don’t like her. She sucks. And anyone who thinks she doesn’t is weird??? She literally just helped break up two marriages tf??

Also I never said JB carried the show on his back. I said I preferred his performance and I thought he was great. And I said Simone did a good job. Again, why do we have to be fans of both? You guys aren’t fans of him and I honestly am ok with that lol. My Reddit history is there for all to see, it’s strange to see people just make shit up. And yes, I am a woman for those stalking me and wondering lol.

I don’t really get why people in this fandom can’t disagree in a normal way. Not everyone will like what other people like.

listen I haven't been on reddit for many months and I don't remember having beef with a particular person because I was disgusted by pretty much the majority of people. I think I only visited BridgertonNetflix and I couldn't believe my eyes that there were so many gaslighters in the fandom who would say that we imagined Kanthony being done dirty or that downplayed what happened regarding Simone. I can't honestly say that I ever came across one of your comments so I really don't know what to think on this matter. I agree with you saying that people have to learn how to disagree politely. I appreciate you coming into my inbox with manners and for being honest about your declining interest in JB, my blog is a place to rant after all and as long as it's done on my terms, everyone is welcome, even JB fans or former JB fans.

on another note I don't want to downplay JB's talent as an actor because as much as I don't like him I can admit he's good at his job, but I think it would be fair to say that he was able to shine more because the script allowed so. What did Simone have by the scripts? Crying in rooms alone and being in a coma for the majority of the last episode? Let's remember she wasn't the sister with the central episode about her even tho it was supposed to be ALSO her story

What is the MCSM Rewrite Project?

It's exactly what it sounds like!

I'm making what is essentially a new version of Minecraft Story Mode. The characters will be reimagined, keeping core elements alive, but making them overall... better. I believe the original MCSM had a lot of potential, but fell flat in execution. I am attempting to rectify that, more or less, but in book format.

The Important Bit

I'm posting this on tumblr just to sort of say "Hey, I'm making this thing. I think it's really cool, and any ideas would be appreciated." So, that's that! I'm looking for some ideas. Specifically ideas for episodes 6-8.

Things I have planned and established already:

Jesse is nonbinary. It makes sense considering I'm adapting a game to a book.

The main cast are actually competent. Because there's no reason for them to act like they've never existed in this world when they've been here for forever?

Servers exist. This is most important for the second arc (Eps 5-8). I've got some information established regarding servers, but basically all that I'll say here is that they vary in game mode, how many people live there, server operators, and some of them may even be modded.

About episode six... No, I'm not doing the YouTuber cameo thing. I am using original characters for this part of the arc, specifically mine and some friends'.

What about season two? I haven't officially decided if I'm doing anything for the second season. I probably will. But for right now most of my focus is on season one. That being said, I have done some thinking on it thanks to my good friend. We'll see where it goes.

Also, custom skins are going to be a thing. Not nearly enough completely inhuman characters in this game. I've even got it planned how they create these custom skins as well.

The big threat is also different. So I sort of replaced the Wither Storm as well. The new threat is a respawned Ender Dragon, except it's much stronger and also much larger. It also tunnels the way dragons do in the actual game.

If you hadn't figured by Jesse being non-binary, this book will be very queer! I am planning to also make Jesskas (Jesse x Lukas) canon. Sorry, Jetra fans!

I think that's all the important information that I'll be putting in the pinned post here. So that being said, feel free to send me any questions, or ideas for this.

OH BOY i have some

So. I'll start this off with a preface: I know OF events in Ral's life, and I know OF what happened in The Gathering Storm + the other War of the Spark novels. But I haven't ever fully read through them myself directly. So... take all of what I say with a grain of salt. I won't act like what I say is authoritative in any regard - this is me just having fun with the scrunkly sparkmage I know about

I am sure I am very unique in this regard (/s) but I can't help but headcanon Ral with like... hella ADHD and/or anxiety?? He's one of those people where he is FANTASTIC at what he does (heehoo izzet science), even if his methods are insane (that's just kind of a given for the Izzet), but he knows absolutely fuck all nothing about anything else. Aside from some street knowledge from when he worked beneath Bolas, he is utterly an idiot in most other facets of life.

I particularly imagine generalized anxiety sprouted up after War of the Spark, given how he adamantly believed he was doing the right thing... only for it to turn out that turning on the beacon was exactly what Bolas wanted him to do after all, and thousands, if not millions, of people died for that decision. Sure, Ral has done terrible things before, but... inadvertently making a choice (and having a hand in the creation of a machine!) that costs SO MANY PEOPLE their lives and nearly burns down the city he loves.... yikes. I struggle to see how that WOULDN'T give ANYONE anxiety

That being said, I imagine his anxiety manifests in like the "can't stop talking when I am nervous" way or the "I talk myself up in an annoying fashion and act like I think I'm better than I am" way, because otherwise, he starts to feel like the Horrors(TM) are becoming a little too real. Every time this guy tries to do something good, it BACKFIRES HORRIBLY, and he always feels like he's waiting for the other shoe to drop. Always

I headcanon that he 100% was the one who went "we should go public with our marriage" @ Tomik and Tomik was like "People will flip, we are guildmasters. Of opposing guilds" and Ral was like "so? Do I give a shit?"

I imagine they probably DID try to hide it for a while, but Ral was secretly relieved when it happened and probably accused anyone that acted like it was a bad thing of homophobia, thus shutting them up instantly, even though he knows 100% nobody cares and they're just concerned bc of the flagrant political corruption

All in all I just headcanon him as always WANTING to do the right thing, but just as well, he's still a bit of a chaotic little shit at heart, and oftentimes, his attempts at "doing the right thing" seem to backfire more than when he ISN'T trying - which is how it becomes very easy for him to obsessively become wrapped up in things and do things, sometimes reprehensible things, that he will later regret

Oh and I headcanon him as absolutely being a bit crushed under the heel of Niv Mizzet. At first, he thought being the guildmaster of the Izzet League was going to be AWESOME - and then he very quickly found out that Niv having the powers of Living Guildpact, looming over his shoulder constantly, meant that he was little more than a puppetmaster for Niv for the Izzet, and so even now, he's still under the dragon's thumb. On one hand, he still respects and reveres Niv, but post-WotS, he's lost a lot of love for the dragon, as Niv allowed him to shoulder much of the blame for the beacon even though it was Bolas who implanted the idea in Niv's mind.

Also also also the fact that he needs that gauntlet to effectively make use of his lightning?? Feels a lot like a disability allegory to me and as a disabled guy I latch onto that a Normal(TM) amount. I love love love the gauntlet and seeing him with it and fiddling with it or using it makes me incredibly happy. MAGICAL DISABILITY AIDS!!

(Once again I stress that these are HEADCANONS that are only loosely based on canon....but yeah I have fun thinking about this guy. SCRUNKLY GAY SPARKMAGE MY BELOVED)

Friday Night Funkin': Indie Cross- Info for Upcoming Updates + Speculations

So, this is a compilation of Upcoming Information and some speculations that I have. Some of these I know off the top of my head, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but most of this info was grabbed from the Wiki and the interview Brightfyre (new director) did.

Brightfyre and DAGames are the director and co-director, respectively, so most info will come from them.

Most of this is regarding the weeks and bonus songs. Please note that information for unused/cut content and animations are not in here. This page will be updated as we get new info.

Confirmed Info

So, if you've been keeping up, you probably know that the next upcoming update will feature the series Hollow Knight- particularly, the character Hornet. Personally, I haven't seen Hollow Knight (although I will eventually) so I can't say much, but you can read about them here.

There are also songs for Baldi, the Binding of Isaac and Celeste (against Baldi, Isaac and Madeline respectively) found in the files of the Streamer build. Brightfyre has stated that they would be full weeks, and would just have them as bonus songs, similarly to what we have with characters like The Devil or Sammy.

The main weeks aren't complete, though, as Brightfyre stated for each update they aim to have one week, and a bunch of bonus songs.

Speaking of bonus songs, on the wiki page for Indie Cross it's been confirmed that King Dice will be one of the next bonus opponents!

Also, Cuphead and the Ink Demon are getting new and improved vocals! Chromatics aren't released yet, but they've been featured in the Mike Geno song "Crossed Out."

Confirmed Lore

So, as Moro was taken off the Indie Cross team, and most of the lore was his personal headcanons, they're basically rewriting the background story for Indie Cross.

What we do know, however, is that the weird figure seen in the intro cutscene is Nightmare Girlfriend, confirmed by Brightfyre, but there's not much to say as to why in the current story.

And while it's not really lore, and more of a backstory for the creation of Indie Cross itself, the whole mod is inspired by Brothers in Arms by DAGames.

Personal Speculations

Okay, everyone leave now, it's time for me to just make my own stupid personal inputs as to what I think is gonna happen.

As everyone knows, Shovel Knight and FNAF are both seen in the intro cutscene, and it seems as if they might be getting their own weeks, too? So there's a high chance of at least them being a bonus song, at most being their own week.

I think that games such as DDLC are absolutely NOT going to be in Indie Cross, likely because it already has its own major mod- Doki Doki Takeover- and it wouldn't fit the overall feeling that Indie Cross has.

I feel like it's possible for every current week to get a new bonus song in the next update- there's just so many options.

I personally believe that with every week, there will be a Nightmare song for that character. I doubt this will happen with bonus characters such as the Untitled Goose Game goose, because that is way too much power for anyone to deal with.

I think in terms of bonus songs, my best candidate for other Cuphead opponents would be Mrs. Chalice. We fought Cuphead, so why not her? Mugman couldn't find her in Knockout, according to what some dialogue I remember hearing said, so maybe not?

I would love for there to be a song with Chef Saltbaker, but since the DLC came out only a couple weeks ago it's probably not happening for another couple of updates.

For Undertale, I'm not entirely certain? Mettaton was GOING to have a Bonus song, but that was scrapped, yet there's still a chance he'll have a different song. It makes the most sense, too, considering in canon he would definitely challenge you to a rap battle.

The chance of Chara is low, but never zero. They've been done in FNF mods a lot, and according to the wiki they are barely visible over the locked symbol of the Bonus Week. There could be a Chara VS BF song that takes place during Burning in Hell, maybe.

And Deltarune also has a chance, but considering it's a different game they might not do a Deltarune bonus song. We already have a Deltarune mod in the form of Seek's Cool Deltarune Mod, though, so maybe not.

Finally, for BATIM, I'd say that Susie Campbell / "Alice Angel" is a pretty obvious choice. Most of the characters can't speak or communicate anymore, some of the ones which DO don't have a canon design and they wouldn't want to start a fandom argument or discourse, meaning that the only candidates left are essentially Allison, Tom, and Susie.

I doubt the first two would sing against us, and also, Susie is literally a voice actor/singer. There is no way that Boyfriend wouldn't challenge her to a rap battle.

So, for now, that's everything I have to say. Go ahead and correct me and/or tell me what your theories are for Indie Cross, because I love this mod too much to shut up about it.

UPDATE

Well, while Moro isn't working on any official Indie Cross content, if you skip past the first three (which are, of course, amazing and I can't WAIT for them, this looks so cool!) and look to the fourth one...

Well, this character looks familiar.

So, yes, it looks like Shovel Knight is confirmed to be getting at least an appearance, at most his own week! I can't quite make out what the text at the top says, it's very difficult to make out especially in the Indie Cross Nightmare font, so maybe I'll try to figure it out another day.

12x01-02 Spyfall (Parts 1 & 2) - 28 responses

I mostly liked this one. Like a lot of recent action episodes, it felt kind of rushed, but I enjoyed the new Master and the Doctor's time travel shenanigans to save them from the plane crash. The villains were cool and pretty creepy at moments; I wouldn't mind learning more about them. (anonymous)

The Doctor in a James Bond movie is such a good idea I can't believe it hasn't been done before. Generally, these episodes were a lot of fun. I really liked the "O" reveal at the time because I didn't see it coming at all, and Sacha Dhawan nailed the role. I am still sad we never saw a 13 and Missy showdown, but he did a very, very good job. The historical parts of this episode were interesting, too, and I liked them quite a bit despite some of the, ah, missteps. The Doctor abandoning anyone in Nazi Germany- even the Master, especially the Master, and especially when he's looking like someone not white- is a vicious cruelty that didn't sit well with me. but the thing is the irl morals ARE applied in the acotar world. Rape is seen as wrong as we saw through Amarantha and Ianthe and what was done to Gwyn. Tamlin's abuse towards Feyre us rightfully called out as what it is: domestic abuse. The only character who gets to get away with both SA and DA on paper is Rhysand. It's like acotar was two different sets of morals: one for Rhysand and one for everyone else.

Also I feel like you should be more worried about how you completely disregard the opinions of SA survivors just because you think that your enjoyment of those books is more important than the feelings of irl people. You can continue to uncritically consume those books if you like, but not everyone will just nod along to whatever sjm says. Just because sjm doesn't think that something is SA doesn't magically make it ok.

Fantasy fiction ANYTHING, whether it be books or movies is NOT the place anyone should be going to to look for validation of their real life experience or confirmation that something is right or wrong.

SA is a horrible thing that needs discussed with all generations by parents, teachers, each other, therapists, etc. You blaming a fantasy book that you should not be looking at as a moral guide in the first place for being offensive to your real life experiences truly does not make sense to me.

If I wanted to teach my children that hitting other people is unacceptable, I'm surely not going to sit them in front of a Disney movie and say, "watch this for life lessons!" then bitch how Disney makes all their characters try to kill one another. I always say, "whatever you see here is make believe and not something we do in real life".

And yes, SJM has made certain things in real life also "wrong" in her book but, that's up to her discretion. As the author, SHE decides what is right and wrong within this imaginary world and not everything that is wrong in our world now has to be put into this book as "wrong"

Disregard the opinions of SA survivors? I just saw a massive amount of SA survivors on a Facebook post comment that they did not feel what Rhys did was SA because he was a prisoner of war, the circumstances forced him to do things he would never do, he was attempting to make it so she didn't have to witness the horrors around her, that if he hadn't "claimed" her others would have done worse to her, and he ensured Feyre had paint on her body so she knew he wasn't touching her further up or down. So I'm guessing your argument only matters for SA survivors who agree with your opinion of the situation?

You are accusing a real life person of disregarding someone's real life experience because they write posts based entirely around a fictional world. You have no idea who I am in real life and what my stances are. And I promise whatever they are, I will NEVER use a fantasy book as textual support proving why it's the peak example of what we should strive for. Because fantasy books are for enjoyment and that's it. If you're not enjoying them than you reserve the right to not read them but acting like authors are obligated to hold their characters to a current day moral code when it doesn't make sense to the story because it's offensive to you isn't right. Authors constantly have characters do certain things that they would never condone in real life or write in a way that the characters haven't done something completely wrong for the time its taking place or the circumstance.

You are making it personal when a fantasy book and its rules as dictated by the author should remain in a fantasy realm. It doesn't matter how much you think it correlates to your life because at the end of the day, none of it is real.

The real issues in this world are outside the pages of a fictional work of art and any fight for change should be focused there.

And as much as I enjoy SJMs writing, I will never look to her books as guidance for how humans should behave. She is not a guru of appropriate human behavior and no one should think of her as such or expect her to be. She's a fantasy author, who writes for ENTERTAINMENT, which means the power she or her writing has over your real life should be non existent and reminding yourself of that is important.

i do feel bad for somerton for making an attempt on his life, truly. hell, even ballinger i wondered what her mental state has been through all her mess. i don't believe anyone should be bullied or harassed or threatened, that kinda behavior is wholly unnecessary. we can say critical things about these people without going for them directly in any manner.

but that being said, not only do i keep an inkling of doubt that this wasn't intentionally calculated (and i hate to say/think so) so he could come back and use it as a sympathy ploy, but i gotta say... if anyone plans and agrees to pursue an internet's eye on them, i need all of u to be aware that u should definitely take into account that some day, shit might go belly up on u, possibly if u haven't even done anything bc people are super shitty on this internet these days and will try to stomp out literally anyone they see as competition or a threat even if someone is innocently minding their own business.

if u don't think that u have the fortitude and mental capacity to handle any kind of tragedy regarding ur content, that if something did happen u would feel the need to do what he's claimed he's done, don't make content. don't put urself out there like that. there's been people who have had to deal with things on a much smaller scale than him FOR NO REASON and it could happen to u to, so if i can't endure or mentally handle that, do not put urself into focus to be targeted like that and save ur mental health the trouble.

THAT being said, i would believe if he had done what he says he had done and i don't doubt that he faced immense backlash and criticism from all sides but i gotta say.... he could've prevented this. he knew what he was doing was wrong. he kept denying what he was doing and deflecting/attacking other people. the thing that pisses me off the most about when people get called out and inevitably attacked is, they've done the same behaviors to other/smaller people to stomp them down and keep them quiet to keep boosting themselves up to grow to the size they've gotten to but then as soon as the script flips and THEY'RE the ones now facing harassment, it's suddenly unacceptable and everyone should have sympathy for THEM. again, no one should have to deal with attacking and harassing but when u call ur audiences to go after smaller people who call u out and then whine that u now have to face the same thing.. it's just really tone deaf to me and it's like u could've owned up to it and gracefully bowed out when u were first found out instead of bringing it to this large scale of scrutiny. (we're seeing the same thing with lauren the mortician who was defaming multiple tiktok creators and is now pursing lawsuits against select creators for defamation of herself where people have only said opinionated and criticism type things towards her)

anyway. idk. he needs to step away from the internet. he needs to let people remove themselves from his patreon, INFORM them that they're able to, and then remove everything he's done from the internet and stay away/detox from being in public eye for a while and get himself some help and figure his life out. he didn't deserve harassment but he did deserve the criticism and he needs to realize that and do a lot of self reflection.

and i hope the creators who spoke about them don't feel responsible for his actions bc again, he could've owned up to all of this when he kept repeatedly being outed and kept everything from blowing up on this scale, or taken any responsibility at all for his actions. none of them did anything but comment on the fact that he was doing awful things to the queer and creator communities.

(also, him stating what he tried to do, making it/himself the focus of the video also feels like 'i hope u all feel bad now for pushing me here for saying things about me' which again.. invalidates any apology he was attempting. he's still being manipulative even now)

an update about my life? maybe? idk if anyone's interested but essentially I started this blog when I was 18 and now I'm nearly done with university. it's kind of insane thinking about how fast the years have gone by - it almost feels like yesterday when I started this blog in quarantine out of boredom, and now it's two years down the line haha

as for misfits, first of all, thank you for thinking about it and I'm really happy that you still remember the story :) I wrote it when I was chilling around and posted it after a tumblr mutual I made after I created this blog told me to - she's no longer on tumblr or skzblr(?) for personal reasons but I look back on that fondly

about updates, I do intend to continue the story just because so many people enjoyed it, even though I'd admit I don't think it's my best work. I still have my old notebook full of notes and ideas for future skz-centric works, but I guess the reason why I stopped was because I don't really pay attention to skz that much anymore. I admire them as a fledgling artist myself, but I haven't been keeping tabs on them now that I'm starting to explore my own artistic ventures (!!). that said, I still have the plot of misfits in my head, but I guess that having started and continued the story with numerous historical footnotes, I feel like I have to continue doing that and keeping everything as historically accurate as possible haha

but yeah, that's pretty much about it, if I'm posting works here, consider it as writing practice rather than excited squeals about skz. again, I really admire them as people, but it's also because of that that I feel kind of weird writing fanfiction about them. I'm not opposed to the idea of it or other people doing it, I personally just feel more comfortable writing filth about 2D characters (and I do have a sideblog for anime-centric works if you're interested!) I don't think I'll shut this blog down ever because I am proud of what I've created here - and I'm really happy that you view it safe enough to send in a ramble. my inbox is always open if you want to talk more :)) hope you're doing well!

I didn't go into my whole opinions of Gege Akutami in the tags from that last post MAINLY because I don't trust a LOT of these weebs, lol. Sorry but a LOT of y'all have really shown me just how piss poor y'all's reading comprehension REALLY is so I don't see a point in going into my opinions if y'all can't even properly digest what y'all read (& that saying something because Geges writing confuses me at times so yeah sometimes I'm just vibing when I'm reading jjk I may not know wtf that cursed technique exactly does but I'm enjoying the ride regardless, lol).

Like more than one person thinks Maki/Mei dynamic is incestuous which just makes me SO unbelievably angry & y'all REALLY need to stop assuming everything that isn't fighting between siblings automatically = something more. Not denying the one specific character, Meimei, isn't written... that way but to claim more are written that way is REALLY weird like... did we read the same manga??? Also not to mention a lot of people who read manga STILL seem to not understand that what is considered sexist/feminist in Japan isn't going to be 100% the same here and I will admit I do fall into doing this sort of thing by going off of western/US ideas of what's feminist/not sexist when analyzing JJK and other manga/anime HOWEVER... I do acknowledge this and also at least try to save room for differing opinions like that and not automatically just label something as progressive. I can't give big/exact examples but I know of times where people will go crazy about something being oh so progressive but people who are Japanese or know the culture well enough will go 'no... no that isn't."

Well, anyway, I was going to share my opinions on Gege Akutami's handling of women characters and if their work is either feminist or sexist but honestly I'm tired so I'll do that another day. The only other thing I want to add/explore a bit is that SOME of the backlash/hate/critiques of JJK just seem... rather familiar to me. Not going into it but yeah... I have a hard time taking SOME of this criticism seriously ESPECIALLY when I see people regularly kiss Odas feet for at best bare minimum stuff (or not even and also weird how multiple people give OP recognition for doing xyz in the tags of that poll and not JJK even though it also actually does do what they give OP credit for...)

Just... y'all have weird priorities and make excuses for ur faves REALLY quick and honestly if y'all can't somewhat equally analyze and critique media fairly I don't think ur opinions should really hold any weight in regards to what is or isn't sexist or any other prejudice really. And look some might say I'm doing the same and on the surface it probably does look like that because I honestly don't care to go into it with others online because of basically what I said in the beginning but also because JJK is something I enjoy more in private, besides reblogging &/or sharing fanart/merch I don't really do much else. I haven't done a thorough in-depth critique (or tried) yet because I don't see a point, not yet at least because while I do have various opinions some need more time to marinate and some just aren't going to be fully developed until the series is over.

BUT if anyone MUST know my basic opinion on JJK and if it's sexist or not my simple answer is... no, I don't believe it is BUT it does still have things it needs to work on though! Are the women well written? Some are, yes! And some aren't! I'm not going into it more than that because again I'm tired and that is being reserved for a more dedicated post that may or may not be made one day, lol.

I'm happy I'm not the only one who despises mitsuki, she reminds me way to much of my mom for me to like her and think that her relationship with bakugou is supposedly to be "just a funny joke"

First of all, I'm sorry your mom is like her, no one should have a parent like that.

Second of all, yes - I absolutely hate people constantly acting like this is comedy. Especially considering it's in the same story as the Todofam plot, which is all about the fact one of the parents is abusive? It makes zero sense to recognize Endvr as abusive but not Mitsuki.

And I know a lot of people say that it not being addressed in canon is done as yet another way to show how useless the hero system is when heroes look away even when abuse happens right in front of their eyes (i.e. All Might and Aizawa when they visited the Bakugou family to ask for permission regarding the UA dorm system). However, the story is nearing its end and we still haven't had anyone address this.

The only time it's been slightly brought up in canon was during the remedial course arc when Shouto told Bakuguo there is probably a better way to handle the kids than by using violence, and Bakugou defended himself saying "that's how I was raised" - which I'm still waiting to be brought up again at some point, but I'm keeping my expectations low.

Anyway, yes, absolutely hate her. I think Bakugou was probably more than relieved to be moving into the dorms. He deserves better. I low-key believe that when he watched Dabi's broadcast and heard Dabi talk about his mom and Shouto being hit by Endvr it maaaybe kind of got Bakugou thinking?

Like I said in my other post, I think Bakugou and Shouto both kinda still need someone to directly point out to them that they have been abused. And some people in this fandom also need to be told this since there's a worrying amount of people refusing to believe that Mitsuki is being abusive.

Again, no idea if that's ever gonna happen, though.

ok so instead of answering every anon individually ive decided to address it all in one post. Id like to start by thanking original anon for their last couple of anons. id also like to clarify some of what i said which seems to be getting misunderstood:

When i said i knew transfems who saw no issue with me posting what i posted, i did not intend this in an 'i have transfem friends so i cant be a transmisogynist' way. I meant that I am involved in trans circles and have friends who are transfem, some from the UK, the majority of which saw no real issue with me posting the video of lil nas in voldemort costume. I also had more transfems in my inbox who agreed than disagreed. This was not me trying to prove i was right, but trying to illustrate that I had been privy to discussions on JKR from transfems who condemn her and her franchise and have done independent research on the issue, and am not entirely uneducated. I clarify this as ive gotten many anons telling me to find the words of trans ppl online and educate myself, which is something that I have done multiple times in the past. people can be educated on a topic and still hold a different opinion/gen

I genuinely appreciate the people who have come to me to give their perspective, and I have not and will not respond to most of them, this includes people aggreeing and disagreeing with me. I am not trying to dodge the topic, it would just be unrealistic to address each one, some of which are very difficult to read due to grammar or lack of context, or are simply being very nasty. I do this when it comes to any issue that comes into my inbox. I have read each one of them with as open a mind as I could.

I will admit that yesterday I came across as dismissive and stubborn. I'm sorry for this. I have since tried to swallow my pride and be unbiased in how I regard whats been brought up. I acknowledge that many valid points were made and that some of what I've said has been wrong. I really hope that I haven't genuinely hurt people with all of this. I have decided to take the video down to avoid further mistakes on my part and to show that I acknowledge much of what people have said as being right. I still believe there is nuance to be had, but I think that my inbox is the wrong place to have it and that the right move is for me to continue genuinely considering things that were said, my own biases, and opinions. I think it will take more than 24h and is something I can do outside of my blog, by reading what is already told to me and examining myself. This may seem inconclusive but I'll try to clarify: as of right now I believe much of what has been said to me is correct, much of what I said was wrong, and that some is still for me to figure out. What I am going to do is take down the lnx video, do real self reflection and further research, absorb the opinions which are apart from mine, and make the decision to move further discourse away from the public of this blog and its posts as i dont feel its entirely productive for anyone involved. I am not a person of empty words.

My stance on the video was that HP is something not entirely avoidable but that nobody should support JKR via money or indirectly. I also believe that while people might still enjoy the franchise without supporting, that they should analyse the works for anti semitism, transphobia, and racism. I asserted that Lnx has monetarily supported trans causes and had not shown any support of JKR's views, and that posting his funny costume was likely not as big a deal as ppl said. I am currently reevaluating this stance on multiple points, mostly privately.

From an outsider, it looks like a specific group of people within the Clerith fandom (a toxic group?), is this right? Are there named players or is it just anyone hardcore about Clerith? I see doki doki as people's twitter handles in regards to Cleriths twitter users, so is it a name they gave themselves? I hope this isn't taken as rude or anything, it's just so confusing as it feels like coming into a conversation partway through, so I want to be sure. It's the dumdums who spend their time screaming their bs is canon and being toxic messes everywhere. They're racist, sexist misogynistic ableist trolls who make a dozen alts to harass people, call Tifa a whore and generally ruin everything in the fandom.

They always have flowers and a cloud in the handle. They always have a Photoshop pfp of Cloud and Aerith. They lately have doki doki in their name because of the material ulti plus comment that basically says Cloud was anxious during the slide scene and they translate it to meaning romantic feelings because they're fucking idiots.

I honestly don't keep track of what their handles are since I've had them blocked for two years and mentally erase anything they say from my brain because it's always, without exception, disgusting and gross.

They say Cloud should rape Aerith and they want her to be "bred" by him thanks to Hojo's gross ass comments that weren't even about Cloud, they were about Sephiroth 🤦‍♀️

These people haven't played the game, they only watched heavily edited YouTube clips. They lie about everything.

They started the whole doki doki bit, which icks me out so much I hate it, but we've called them the cult for a long ass time, even before I joined the fandom they were called the cult because of how they gaslight and indoctrinate people into believing their lies. People who've escaped from them have also said it's like a cult. They've even scammed money from people, doxxed and harassed them. They're actually pretty scary, which is why I keep advising people not to share personal info. I've blocked them but they still screenshot and stalk my accounts here and on twitter.

Here's some of their dumbest takes, but I don't generally keep or give attention to the worst shit they say. It's a constant stream of bullshit and lies.

Deconstructing Baseless Harry Potter Arguments#2 (i) : Harmione Edition

Obviously I once again do not mean to target all Harmione shippers. I know quite a few who're very good human beings and tolerant and accepting above all. However these aren't. In this case, you might sense quite a bit of levelheadedness in the beginning, however you must not be fooled as it goes south and takes a nasty turn very quickly. Don't get your hopes up, this is some of the worst shit I've ever seen, especially the way in which it progresses through its course. Naturally, for this post I have picked my own style of writing which will match that of those redditors. Reddit is the perfect breeding ground for all these weird cults, honestly. I shall be resorting to a formal language and style of conversation, very much like a debater would to sound as pretentious as these do. These posts are found on the instagram handle toxicharmonyshippers who gather such toxic musings and sayings for Harmione shippers while respecting the ones that are nice.

Oh yes, let's use words like 'vehemently' to sound smart, why not? Of course, this little tidbit of the highly stupendous post seems more or less civil at the start. They also have the common decency to say "some Romione shippers" rather than generalizing all of us. Very nice of you, how very saint like. Let's wait till they drop the act and show us their true colors. Harkening back to the argument, I have but one question for you, "where do you find these people?". Where's the proof? Who are these radical Romione shippers who worship Ron and dislike Hermione? I haven't seen any such shippers and I am surrounded by Romione shippers on tumblr, instagram and fan fiction sites as well and haven't met the people you speak of. Some point out her flaws, yes, but no one hates her or dislikes her that much. I have seen two or three Romione shippers across hundreds and thousands who're skeptical of Hermione's perfection. you can, through these, see the amount of Hermione bashing across Harry Potter fanfiction and you can see that even in Romione fanfiction there's more Ron bashing. Hermione-bashing is a non-issue. That's what it is. Regarding the "nagging" statement, where's the lie in that? "Annoying" is somewhat subjective, I personally don't find her annoying at all. Who are these people and how often do you find them? "Mary Sue" is only reserved for Movie!Hermione. I have only seen book fans call her that. No one has ever called Book!Hermione Mary Sue. The movie does paint her as a flawless, all-rounder who's also drop-dead gorgeous. Only things she's bad at are flying and divination, all of which she denounces as useless, even though flying is like biking for wizards, divination, sure, not that important. with a teacher like Trelawney, even I would denounce it as hokum.

Remember what I said about waiting for them to show us their true colors, well here they are. Bask in the glory of their senseless arguments. Why, I am from reddit, heck I have 25 thousand karma points on there, I just left because it was too stupid for me but I can argue like them very well. And in this case I would like to say that these people are under the impression that Ron is just there in the story for the sake of existence. And he doesn't work hard. That argument is of course, wrong. Because Ron (in no particular order):

1) fights a troll when he's 11

2) is willing to sacrifice himself when he's 11

3) stands up for his friends

4) makes sure Harry feels like he belongs in the family

5) worries about Harry and rescues him from literal jail

6) stands up against Draco rather than by-standing and enabling his behavior

7) tries his level best to make sure Norbert the dragon is in safe hands and carries it out, albeit not in perfection

8) is with Harry every step of the way in his confronting the basilisk

9) sends Harry and Hermione long letters and calls them often to check up on them

10) stands up on a bitten leg to defend his best friend

11) always apologizes for any of his mistakes and is forgiving when others wrong him

12) works his way to join the Quidditch team unlike Draco who most certainly bought his way in

13) destroys at least 2 horcruxes

14) finds out how to defeat a horcrux

15) has an excellent enough memory and observation to notice Harry speaking parseltongue and also using it to his benefit which proves he's resourceful

now since I have 8 more such pictures to rebut and I do have a life, I will stop. These aren't even a twelfth of the remarkable things Ron has done though, so rest assured.

oh wait what did you say about him just existing and not working for anything? If I recall correctly, he did just as well as Harry did in school and didn't score well only in subjects he didn't care about. Which is true for most people except for Hermione who has an eidetic memory which not everyone has, understandably. Rote memorization is not the best way to get by in life, by the way.

what are the "so many reasons" behind why Harry is the best fit for Hermione? Kindly share so I can rebut those too, I'm rather free nowadays, my finals have been cancelled. You say there are so many reasons but don't even give one, yet you want me to take you seriously. I'm afraid that's impossible.

Romione shipper here, i don't dislike Hermione. I haven't met or seen many people in the book!romione fandom who dislike Hermione (except for Movie!Hermione). The question of someone you like ending up with someone you dislike doesn't particularly make sense. In Friends, Chandler ends up with Monica: now I'm not the biggest Monica fan (I don't hate her but I don't like her very much either) but they are my favorite couple because they make sense. It's about compatibility and character traits, not liking or disliking because that's just a set-up for a ghastly invitation for people to pair up hideousness. "Oh yeah, I like Harry and I also like Hagrid, they should be together. I mean it would be very very disgusting but that's my logic, now, you can't fight it. "- that's how you sound. Please read what you write. Your logic is just...abysmal. That's all I can say without breaking my resolve and berating you with colorful profanities.

In this case, you're essentially providing us with theories. Unproved theories and speculation of what you believe because you'd say anything you like. Where's the proof of your theory, though? Where is that crazy radical Romione shipper who does this? Kindly show me these people. Oh yes, you wanna say we objectify Hermione and disrespect her and view her as a prize. This aches me, that you believe this. No one has ever insinuated this, ever, in the history of anything. What is this winner-loser theory? How do you round off Harry Potter to "an alpha-male ends up with lead-lady" trope and still say you're a fan of the series? Harry Potter doesn't fit in with that format. Ron, Hermione and Harry are co-heroes. Similar to how there's no main character in Friends or the Heroes of Olympus series or the Avengers. We're not living in the 80s anymore. Hermione will be a hero, invariably whether she ends up with Harry, Ron or no one. She ends up with Ron and that's it. Talking about her like this doesn't make you sound any better either. Now you're calling me a misogynist because I don't support the ship of two people who describe themselves as siblings. That's very mature of you. Well here's the thing- I'm not a misogynist. It's as simple as that. I believe that women are capable of anything and everything. I believe Hermione is an amazing person and she is a hero and a different person. I believe the series would be impossible without her. I believe she is no one's prize. There's no requirement of a prize. I just think, similar to canon and the truth and her romantic interest, she will have a great relationship with Ron. There's nothing complex or deep about it, really. No personal weird-thing, no psychological complex, no internalized misogyny. There's nothing deeper than what I said. I am not sexist. I am a feminist. I am all for women empowerment. I love women with the fabric of my being. I love Hermione. I think she's amazing. You only become sexist when you ship people with unstable power dynamics, a bully-victim relation or something of the sort. Neither Romione, nor Harmione are sexist. Heck if you paired Neville with Hermione you wouldn't be sexist. And I hate talking about this so much, I can't even tell you. This talk does make it sound like I treat Hermione like an object and I assure you I respect her and I normally won't talk like this unless someone just outright calls me sexist for something that's not sexist. And this is that situation.

in the case of Romione, no one is too good for anyone. Both are amazing people who're heroes and have done amazing work. That's all I have to say. There's no league, they are romantically interested in each other. I have no intention on sounding lame, but, in love there is no league. As long as you're not putting in any effort and are extremely lazy and leech off of your partner, there is no such concept and no, Hermione is not "too good" for him. Unless of course you're talking about movie Hermione, who is too good for anyone.

Now if you talk about Ron's achievements, I re-iterate you to point two. If it's too much work, here:

1) fights a troll when he's 11

2) is willing to sacrifice himself when he's 11

3) stands up for his friends

4) makes sure Harry feels like he belongs in the family

5) worries about Harry and rescues him from literal jail

6) stands up against Draco rather than by-standing and enabling his behavior

7) tries his level best to make sure Norbert the dragon is in safe hands and carries it out, albeit not in perfection

8) is with Harry every step of the way in his confronting the basilisk

9) sends Harry and Hermione long letters and calls them often to check up on them

10) stands up on a bitten leg to defend his best friend

11) always apologizes for any of his mistakes and is forgiving when others wrong him

12) works his way to join the Quidditch team unlike Draco who most certainly bought his way in

13) destroys at least 2 horcruxes

14) finds out how to defeat a horcrux

15) has an excellent enough memory and observation to notice Harry speaking parseltongue and also using it to his benefit which proves he's resourceful

hey, see, I like Ron and I took the time to copy-paste this instead of asking you to scroll up. And I'm a lot of bad things but I am not lazy. I stick to my deadlines like Hermione. I start my homework in library class and continue it during phys ed the day its given. And I am not exaggerating. Bloody hell, I wish I was. I'm the ceo of deadlines, mate, don't tempt me! So you can see that Ron is much more than just a "nice bloke". And being a "nice bloke" isn't a bad thing either. He's all the things I said: intuitive, strategic, helpful, loyal and on top of that he's also a nice person. Yes, I do see a bit of myself in Ron. I do. I see the insecure side. I waste my time hating myself and criticizing myself and undermining myself, telling me I'm no good. But Ron overcomes that. He inspires me to appreciate myself. Is that a bad thing? Are you going to shame me for having a low self-esteem? Do you want to worsen my low self-esteem and make me feel more like shit?

Now the person who replied to your comment saying, "he isn't a nice bloke most of time.", he is. He is not being nice twice in a span of 7 years. How often do you act rudely or with jealousy? Wasn't Harry yelling at everyone in caps lock in OOTP. Now I don't condemn him for that because he's a fucking hormonal teenager like me and that would make me a hypocrite, but by your logic why don't you condemn him? Or why not condemn Hermione for saying "I only date good Quidditch players" and shoving canaries at Ron's face because someone else kissed him, while she kept using Krum and Cormac to make him jealous. She wasn't being a nice girl, then, was she? Now, once again, i don't dislike her or hold that against her because guess what, mate, I'm a hormonal teenage girl who gets jealous most of the time and would probably react in a similar fashion in the spur of the moment (Not defending her actions here, just putting myself in her shoes.) In short, Ron is a nice bloke MOST OF THE TIME.

It would be misogynistic to think that. The thing is, NO ONE DOES my dear friend! My dear daft friend. Ron is not a perfect best boi , the reason why so many of us like him is that he's imperfect and tries to become better through the course of time. You are once again assuming and I am once again asking you to stop.

Ron might be an ordinary wizard. He might be poor, sure, but he's a pure-blood and won't face much if he chose not to fight. But he did. He fought. Now I identify with Ron's attitude a fair bit, but I am also likely to spend my day in a library without noticing. People aren't one dimensional. Stop trying to act like you're a psychologist, i know you're not. I don't even think Hermione's overbearing at all! You just insulted someone you're a big fan of. Jesus.

that's like 6 similarities. They aren't polar opposites in the slightest. Their differences are just: workaholic, not workaholic. Nerd, not a nerd. Like that's fucking it, man!

being relaxed doesn't make you less independent or driven. A relaxed and levelheaded Hermione will think through things, not be impulsive, not panic etc. She doesn't need Ron. I don't understand your obsession with acting like we ever insinuated that. Then she doesn't need Harry either lol. Stop shipping her with Harry, then or like shut the fuck up. Being a bit relaxed won't stop her or anyone from hitting great strides. Just don't get relaxed to the point you're lazy and casual about everything, that's it.

What do you mean? Ron is balanced. He does finish his work on time. And even if he does procrastinate, she could also help him not and be more driven. Of course, this is an open invitation for you to call me a sexist bitch because I said that she could help him and now you'll think her goal is to help him become better yada yada yada. Fuck off. Defeating the horcrux taught him enough. He respected her. He remembered about the elves when she didn't. He begged to be tortured instead of her. No i do not want (nor does anyone want) Hermione to become Ron. Being slightly calmer doesn't change up your personality. I'm sure many people dislike those sort of fanfics without a doubt. I hate OOC and I don't want Hermione to lose her intellect with Ron because that makes no sense. Ron himself is intellectual and loves arguing with her. They'd boost each other, more like it.
