Oh wow another first - anon hate!

Also welcome, it’s very weird to be interacting with people on this hell site after so long, but hello!! To me this is all very hilarious to come about from just venting in tags about Watcher drama but I guess that’s this place for you eh?

I could just have not swiped and answered this one, and tbh I hesitated a bit on the first anon as well, but it does feel exhilarating to be speaking to the void and getting a voice back (any voice in fact!)

But first to this second anon (coz I’d guess from the tone that you’re not the first), I hope you’re doing alright in the real world - that as frustrated and angry as you might be about my take on Teslas (very much a shitty car), you are alright and safe,

Since I seem to have a captive audience (of at least two that I can tell of so far, how novel!), I guess let me soliloquy about thoughts on wealth and the complex nature sometimes of the whole “poor vs rich” dynamic, which is also a bit of why I even waded a little into responding to you amidst watcher drama,

Second anon, I recommend dl;dr (don’t like don’t read) -

I come from a generation where that’s what we did for things we didn’t like. For all I’ve said you’re a captive audience, you’re actually not (again, this is all very funny to me right now I can’t believe this is over ghoul boi drama still jfc) - one person’s opinion will always be just that, an opinion.

I think anon, we might be in different areas of the world, but at least where I live (please check prev tags on the post you were referring to, I’m also too internet-old not to hide in tags as much as I like) it’s become an increasingly common sight to see even soccer moms drive a Tesla, their bloody SUV model is the bane of my existence,

Does that mean everyone can afford them? No. Does it mean a middle-class family could afford them? If they wanted it enough, yes. Does it mean there still aren’t people suffering here from poverty in my part of the world? Sadly, no.

And therein lies an interesting problem (well at least to me as a former economics student) about signalling and truly knowing where in the whole class wars business you’re on, because it does make a difference if you ever have to figure out which rich to eat,

Is the 1% who get to fly on private chartered space flights and book out the whole of Disneyland for themselves (I’m looking at a shitty Amazon CEO there) the first to the guillotine? Oh yes.

But what about everyone else? Are we going to burn everyone who has multiple iPhones? God forbid anyone ever treats themselves to a seven-course degustation? Would not recommend, but I don’t think it guillotine-perfect, and I don’t think everyone that drives a Tesla where I am in the world can begin to count as that,

Those people live a daily life here, second anon, it’s so middle-class here it’s almost funny and why saying to me “Steven owns a Tesla” makes me shrug and go “would not recommend but you do you”,

I understand that can be different to you, because oh, turns out my own thoughts and circumstances can be very different to yours indeed.

Fun fact, I grew up first in a developing country, and had the privilege to move to a “first-world” country because my family was dedicated and sacrificed to make sure I could live the “better life” so to speak,

So I know there’s an inequality in the world when an exchange rate could mean the difference between something being a “rich” vs “normal” thing - I buy a Switch here for about 450 bucks (I saved and then got it on sale) as an achievable treat; for my sister who still lives in my home country, it’s almost two grand and definitely ridiculous to spend on for any normal family,

On one level, where is the fairness in that? But I live with it, and I have to choose some treats or if not what’s the point in life,

What does this all mean in the face of the original ghoul boys/watcher drama that’s occurring now? If anyone has read this for long enough is probably wondering at this point,

I guess I wanted to try and say: life is complicated, and everyone makes complicated decisions, even your favourite comfort YouTubers,

It means I can only see the exacting vitriol at Steven for liking nice things but not Shane for also liking nice things and wonder whether people are barking up the wrong trees, very racist trees in fact,

It means that I keep thinking of shitposts about when the time comes, we’d likely just start offing our neighbours for being “rich” then anyone actually rich, because we seem to not understand the difference between nice things and things no nice person should have (holding also the complicated element of environment and geopolitics to account),

In the process of writing my first response to anon #1, I did have a moment where I wondered, “what if the Watcher boys did think about this? What if they did have some level of number crunching and still looked into their souls and decided that it wasn’t what they wanted? That they knew they could keep doing what they’re doing now and be financially stable, or risk it because of what they believe?”

I and you or anyone can wonder, can or cannot understand, but I sure as hell wish the Watcher team the best of luck, and like you anon, their days will be safe, content and filled with nice things, because why else would I want anything else for anyone,

That’s my one opinion at least, take that as you will anon on the bootlicking quotient for that - if being someone that would just like us all to take a chill pill is being one, then meh - you’re welcome to your opinion too,

WIP questionaire (tag game)

I'll be using 'I only want a dragon' since it's the one I genuinely plan on publishing as soon as I finish writing and editing it.

What was the first part of your wip that you created? A personal vendetta erotic scene. More of a vent against a toxic romantic trope that I kept running into because of some ads. Wasn't planning to write the behemoth that it had since become, but guess what, I got curious about the characters, wrote it, so here we are... (+18 warning, also changed the names, if you're curious)

If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be? Speaking Japanese by Shiny Toy Guns the story has nothing to do with japanese but the song itself

Who are your favorite characters you've made? Why? Chase because he's an absolute ointment for the heart. Made him as a temporary aid, but he decided to stay, and I couldn't say no.... Maya because she's an absolute brat queen and I wish she'd play more of a part in the story because she has so much fun potential, but maybe in part 2.

What other pieces of media do you think would share a fanbase for your story? well, shifter romance for sure, because the whole story is influenced by my absolute love for the genre, although mine's a bit far from the standard itself... I expect monster f*ckers to enjoy it as well, although I don't actually have scenes of the kind, I think... anything more mainstream.... maybe Twilight fans? tbh, idk, I'll need to think a bit more about this... hmm...

What has been your biggest struggle while writing? Concluding an arch. Things keep staying too unresolved, I think I'll have to restart writing it all over again with the new lore discoveries integrated, maybe then we can reach a satisfying part 1 ending...

Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them! There are in the world, but not in the story per se. In the story, most of the characters can shift to different animals, so there's that, I guess.

How do your characters get around?(ex: trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.) Cars and motorbikes, but there are busses, planes and such. Plus the dragon shifters can put a few teleporters around the world, but only they and their people hoard can use those.

What part of your wip are you working on? mentally preparing to restart writing it all over for the 2nd time, but rn still exploring the after-major-event wrapping up.

What aspects (tropes, maybe?) of your wip do you think will draw people in? My friends are very into the worldbuilding and the crazy conspiracy behind it, but it's probably be the romance and erotica that'll draw the most attention, since that's what had me writing it to begin with XD

What are your hopes for your wip? honestly? It's gonna sound delulu af, but I hope ppl love the world I built so much that they start writing their own characters in it or even with the characters I already made myself. Might actually release full character sheets at some point, just to help. :)) Ah, and fanarts of any kind. I hope there'll be a lot of those too. Yeah, if people would have fun with my story I'd be absolutely delighted.

this is a bit random but i remembered you saying in your tags that your will to live dropped after ptd did and like... the real lasting legacy for ptd for me personally is that now i have trust issues every time a kpop group i like is about to release a song. like the preview for back for more sounds good and that makes me a bit optimistic but part of me is also cautious bc a preview is just a small snippet, what if the whole track turns out to be a song that i dislike and that i feel doesn't fit txt at all? maybe a few years ago i would've been purely excited but now there's always that part of me that's like "please don't be another ptd" so i feel cautious before every release

anyway this is just a vent and this is my own personal problem, like i said i think the preview sounds good and it's cool that other people are excited! this is just more of a "what if" nagging thought for me and sometimes i wonder if other fans feel the same or if i'm just being pessimistic

JDKAJDJA i feel u 😔 personally i don't have a problem if i don't like a song one of my fav groups releases, so i won't be TOO disappointed if i don't like it. plus as someone from brazil i am REALLY excited to see them releasing a feature with a brazilian artist tbh 😭 my problem with ptd was the series of unfortunate events that lead us to that moment yk? like they were supposed to promote mots7 (which to me was a wonderful album) and go on tour, but then covid happened so the tour was cancelled, then they released dynamite... which was a BOP ngl i loved it i was just as obsessed as anyone else. but bighit saw how well the song performed internationally, especially in the usa, and seemed to become obsessed with trying to make bts appeal to the american media. so we got butter (and i was FUMING at the time bc txt had a cb with 0x1 shortly after a fcking bts comeback and i felt like they wouldn't stand a chance against bts on mysic shows and stuff 😭) and later on we got ptd which to me is honestly the weakest and most generic song bts has ever released. bts went from a group that co-wrote and co-produced most of their songs to a group that was being forced to only sing other people's generic stuff. (and i won't even mention BE bc that felt like a fever dream tbh it was literally released just as damage control and also at a specific time of the year so bts could win album of the year in 2021 without actually releasing an album in 2021.) and now that bts is on a hiatus i fear that they try to put them txt through a btsification process or smth idk???? but at least for now it doesn't seem to be the case. i don't mind them appealing to the american public and releasing songs that are meant to be a radio hit over there or whatever, as long as they don't lose their essence in the long run... and considering this album concept seems to be following that txt formula we know and love (since it's a continuation of the previous one, apparently), i think everything's still ok for now.

plus around the time do it like that was released they mentioned it on a welive that korean fans were getting kinda frustrated at how much promotion they were doing in the usa and not in korea and they were like don't worry we still have smth BIG coming up for us in korea, and i'm p sure they were talking about the album!! so i think we will survive. i hope. particularly i'm super excited to find out what the album is gonna sound like!! it's the first full album since freeze so hopefully we'll get many great tracks to jam to

Hey dear Gina, how should you feel when you discover you’re pregnant? LOL. This morning I took a test and it resulted positive. I was told the possibilities were really low with me having endometriosis so this is pretty much unexpected and I feel extremely overwhelmed. The worst thing is that I can’t talk about it with my family nor any of my friends because I haven’t discussed this with my boy yet, since he’s away until Friday and I clearly can’t reveal something this big through a phone. I’m wildly freaking out, I can’t wait to see my therapist tomorrow afternoon to vent a bit about it djsksjsj

In the meanwhile, do you have any wise advice you’d like to share with this stunned and a lil hopeless 34 yo woman? (I’ve already gone through your parenting 101 tag and it was so nice reading all these women’s stories, thank you for keeping them all stored under that tag 💛)

Hi sweetheart. Well, congratulations! I don't think there's an answer for how you "should" feel, TBH. Especially when it's so unexpected. You've said you're overwhelmed, stunned, and are freaking out. That pretty much sums up a lot of people's feelings at the news. My kids are 14 and I still feel like that many days. LOL!

I'm glad you can talk to your therapist. I'm sure they'll be helpful. It's a confusing time.... even if you want children and even if you've been trying to conceive. Life is changing for you and that's always a bit stressful.

The best advice I can give you is to take whatever help is offered to you, remember that you can do this (even when you think you can't), and really take time to enjoy the next months with your partner before you become a three-person family. ❤️

➯ Strap yourself in for a wild ride because, for the very, very long month of May, the only thought on this man's bird brain is *ahem* breeding the fuck out of you and other things, of course.

Protecting/Claiming His Territory

➯ When the two of you go out in public while he's going through his 'heat,' he will be super protective. You think that those shorts look nice on you, well Keigo thinks they show off too much of your ass (which to be fair, does belong to him). If he had a say in the way you dress, you'd be covered head to toe, like a catholic nun.

➯ When the two of you are walking around town, you're always by Keigo's side, and his wing halfway wrapped around you, protecting you from any potential threats and prying eyes. You would not want to be the guy that Keigo catches staring at you from across the coffee shop because he is for sure going to get jumped in the alleyway behind the shop.

➯ Throughout his period of 'heat,' Keigo will always insist that you smell like him so that the potential 'threats' will know who his angel belongs to. One thing that really grinds my gears about (ginger boy who I will not name so as to not summon antis) stans is their constant refusal to admit when he messes up or is acting flawed. They love to rave about how “he’s so flawed and human and relatable”, but then ANYTIME another fan pops on and gives an example of a when (ginger) wasn’t acting his best and that bothered them, antis will attack that person and blame them for “bashing” and “misunderstanding the scenario.”

They always have some kind of excuse or they point fingers at the people around him to make him look blameless and to make it seem like anyone who is criticizing his behavior are just “looking for an excuse to bash him.” They say he’s a flawed and relatable character but never give him the CHANCE to be flawed and relatable. They let Hermione, Harry, Ginny, etc. take the fall and be wrong, but can they ever do that for (ginger)? Nope.

Here’s the thing...I LIKE him. I WANT to like him and support him and root for him! But I can’t do that if his stans insist on portraying him as this untouchable god who graces everyone with his presence everytime he’s around. The same goes for (ginger x Hermione)! I’ll occasionally find myself in their tag and see fanart for it or edits or text from the books and I’m like...oh I kinda like this? It’s not bad. Not my cup of tea, but not bad! I may even save some of it! But then I see stans opening their mouths and degrading every freaking character to make (ginger) look better and basically give him the same treatment that the early fandom gave Hermione.

Personally, I think character worship is just as bad as bashing. You pretty much erase everything about the character and turn them into this caricature of their former selves. Bashers (genuine bashers, not just people who criticize behavior) take flaws of the character and inflate them to turn the character into a much much worse version of themselves. Worshippers take flaws and suppress them until the character is basically a Mary Sue. BOTH of these things destroy a character and ruin their potential. Do I think the fandom tends to lean a bit more toward bashing for (ginger) and worshipping for Hermione? Early on, yes. But we’ve grown and learned that that isn’t always the right mindset to have. Things are starting to level out! Which is why I can’t stand seeing the scales beginning to tip again!

I went back-and-forth about posting this, tbh. I want to remind our followers that we’re not necessarily here to “vent” because there’s a fine line between venting and hating on characters/people/authors ourselves--and mostly a fine line between letting one person vent and that snowballing into people responding with their own venting which snowballs into mean things said. What this blog is supposed to be is an opportunity to discuss maybe a fanfiction you didn’t quite get, or to fancast, or to talk about why you think a main ship character should be portrayed a certain way. I don’t want to put a fine point on it because this is Dramione Discussion and so that implies an openness of subject, but I just want to make sure that we collectively understand what’s happening here.

Why I’m choosing to post it is because I think you present an interesting argument about character bashing/worship in general, so I want to reorient this discussion to point out some general things we’re seeing in the fandom (and which have been discussed on this blog lately).

I agree with you that extreme reaction to a character--whether bashing or worshipping--is going to limit the character. Additionally, part of what I like about fanfiction is that you can do that. I don’t like a Mary Sue Hermione, but some people do, I’m sure, or else she would never get written that way. What I’ve enjoyed about watching the fandom over the 18/19 years I’ve been reading fanfiction is watching us all grow. You can kind of tell when it’s a 15-yo that wrote the story--there are limits to how successful the author can be in portraying multi-dimensional characters in complex situations, because they just don’t have the experience to portray it accurately. But as we have aged and learned more about life, we’ve built a large, complex fandom with a variety of interesting stories about all kinds of things. In my youth, I could never imagine a story about Hermione and Draco being parents because that was just too far out of my understanding to relate. Nowadays, a story like The Request is right up my alley, not because I have children, but because I have friends who are widowed and have kids and are getting remarried, and that story has become more relatable. Alternatively, when I went through my last breakup, a story like The Request was too realistic for me to handle and I turned to cleotheo for something to just get me feeling normal again in much the same way others turn towards Hallmark movies. Each story/author has its own purpose for me as an individual, and I think a purpose for the fandom as a whole.

I feel that way about characters, too. As someone who studied literature in college, I’ll tell you that a story needs a villain and a tragedy needs comedic relief. Neither of those characters are likely to get much development. A good way to juxtapose this is to talk about Dumbledore and how he went from being this paternal, all-knowing, good guy, to being a very complex, and sometimes hated character by many in the HP fandom. My 13 yo self reading OotP would never have imagined that Dumbledore might be a bad guy--but we’ve created such a complex story around him as a fandom over the years that now I prefer not to read about him at all in my stories. The same can be said for Voldemort--there’s a not insignificant part of the fandom out there that finds ways to redeem him regularly in their fanfiction. That’s what’s so great about fanfiction.

I say all this to say that there’s a place for the bashers, and there’s a place for the worshippers, and if you (not you, Anon, but the public) don’t like to read it, don’t read it. I appreciate that you mentioned that there’s been some Ronmione out there you might have liked, because I think a lot of people in our ship might not branch out enough. If you love to read fanfiction bashing Ron, then fine, you probably won’t love Ronmione, but there’s no reason to seek out a Ronmione lover and tell them that. Let them read in peace. Additionally, they (Ronmione authors) are going to write stories where Draco is weasel ferret, and we know there’s some canon in the book to back that up, and if they want to read Draco-bashing fanfiction, let them.

Writing about these not-real characters is a great way to reflect on our society. I’ve mentioned before that I’m, personally, not a fan of POC Hermione because I think the muggleborn aspect serves the purpose of reflecting racial bigotry we see in modern society without being on-the-nose. Additionally, hero-worship and character-bashing in fanfiction can reflect ideals or wrongs, respectively, that we see in the world onto certain characters. I think that allowing someone to read/write in peace is a great way to start extending compassion and individuality past your personal life into your social one.

cheese - yes same, i liked it but that was all there was, it wasnt a super standout track. it was rlly underwhelming for me but some of the hook is super catchy so there is Redemption (tm) in store for cheese maybe

thunderous - mmm, yeah at first i totally agreed, i think they suffer from too much good music syndrome, that all their other tracks are such fucking bops its hard to stay at that level of perfection. the choreo was beautiful tho and tbh, the track has grown on me since ive been watching all the vids abt it. its my brothers favourite track

domino - YES GODAMMIT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE TITLE TRACK. the raps, the vocals, the vibes, the fucking domino sound in the back? i would have streamed that shit on repeat. but tbh, as good as it is, it doesnt have that sort of grandness/oomph that skz seems to like in their title tracks so i can see why they chose thunderous (tho domino would have been so good) *sigh*

ssick - yeah same, not my fave track by a long mile, the crowd cheering was a ?strange? choice and the chorus was a bit bare/empty, plus like i mentioned earlier, it was kinda funny to me for some reason but ill still play it if im playing thru the whole album

HEAR ME OUT - I’VE GOT AN AU IDEA

Okay, so I have too much on my plate with Demon in Gotham, the sequel, and my and @slytherinsheashire ‘s baby so I can’t write this au out as a story but I couldn’t get the idea out of my head so if any of you write this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tag me

Daminette endgame (through really can work with any ship in the maribat fandom)

So I know in most Daminette AUs we hate on Adrien because of his flaws in canon (which I am not against)

BUUUUT au where there was no love interest for Adrien/Chat Noir and Ladybug/Marinette to begin with, so they were Best Friends, and still are when Damian comes in

Like he is protective because That's My BFF but he's reasonable and not in love with her

He also actually has her back with Lila. He can't stand up stand up to her (because abusive father) but he hangs out with Marinette whenever he can and they make fun of Lila together when she can't hear them and he is passive-aggressive with her a lot

He likes Damian but by Rule of Best Friends he does threaten him if he hurts his BFF

Alya is still a jerk but Adrien is passive (agreste)sive with her too about fact-checking

Also, Alya totally thinks Mari liked Adrien and doesn’t listen to Mari saying no

CN completely hates Lila btw because not only is she lying about Red Best Friend but she's bullying Pink Best Friend and while Adrien has to be nice CN doesn't!

A mental image: Adrien telling Lila she looks pretty, "today," before running off before she picks up on the insult

He also as CN takes his job more seriously and only banters on patrol and such. He didn't at first but LB took him aside and explained why she was annoyed and he stopped – because that’s what you do when your BFF asks you to!!

When the reveal happens Adrien is like, "you are my mega ultra best friend now"

Because I don't really ship Adrien with anyone but Mari I HC that in this au he's aro ace. If you ship him with someone he can just not be interested in Mari (gaydrien is also an option) but the rest of this will continue as if he is aro ace, change as needed if you write differently

He and Mari are the closest two BFFs can be but she and Damian are the ones with romantic feelings and such

Adrien is actually the one who suggests giving the Fox to Damian when Alya shows no signs on improving

He’s just the bestest of best friends and he never feels like Mari owes him anything and he gives terrible dating advice and they’re just! Best Friends!!

He also recognizes his dad as abusive and is trying to better himself while being under his father’s thumb. He’s essentially counting down the days to freedom at this point

Gabriel is Adrien-phobic, sexuality included. Adrien hasn’t come out to him and he never plans to

A quick list of episode fixes in random order--

Stoneheart – is the same up until they ‘fall in love’ CN is just super excited to have someone as awesome as LB as a friend. Mari doesn’t fall in love but she is a bit awkward with her new BFF at first

Stormy Weather – Alya, Manon, and Marinette all went to the park to bring Adrien a snack in stormy weather because he complained about his diet

CN banters, doesn’t flirt, stops bantering around Copycat when LB asks if he can focus on work when there is an akuma

Horrificator – Adrien was anti kiss no matter who the actress was. Nino, realizing he was making his bro uncomfortable, forgoes the kiss completely, despite Alya suddenly pushing for it once Marinette was volunteered as the lead girl

Animan – Adrien asked Mari if she had a crush on anyone first, because he didn’t want to put her in a situation where she was accidentally leading Nino on. All four of them end up going to the zoo together as planned but Mari locked Alya and Nino in the cage because Alya was annoying her about a ‘crush’ on Adrien

Dark Cupid – LB was venting about Alya trying to get her to confess her nonexistent crush and CN was ranting about ppl sending him letters without even knowing him or his sexuality. He teared up in his rant (when mentioning his father probs) and she hugged him and he saw Dark Cupid and shielded her. She kissed his cheek to break the spell

Prime Queen – Chamack was pushy with them being a couple but they both outright denied it and declared themselves best friends and only that. Mari, resident Bi, came out as lesbian as LB to throw ppl off her trail and make pushy shippers stop. CN hesitated about coming out as ace and, in private, told him he didn’t have to

Volpina – Adrien realized Lila was flirting and shut her down right away, saying he wasn’t interested. Marinette happened to be in the library at the time and she and Tikki saw her steal the book. As LB she confronted Lila about stealing and asked for it back. LB calmly and politely told her not to lie – Lila still gets akumatized. Because Adrien shut Lila down pre-superhero lie CN isn’t suspicious, LB is

Collector – When LB says Gabriel is HM, CN takes a moment to breathe before getting ready to fight. After the akuma he asks if HM can akumatize himself, and they both decide to start tracking akuma when they can

Gamer – lucky charm scene still happens, no romantic connotations to anything. Same with Befana

Bubbler – LB changes the music because Adrien looked so uncomfortable – not out of jealousy. Adrien sees her stitched name in the fabric and asks her privately. This is what starts him on the road of growing independent from his father’s abuse and lack of care

Rogercop – Adrien doesn’t even call his father. He doesn’t want him there and he wouldn’t come anyway, so he doesn’t try. However, he does use the ‘gotta call my father’ excuse to try and help Plagg out of the bracelet

Simon Says – Adrien accepts the hug from his father bug tells Plagg that it would have been warmer to hug a statue after, and he almost wishes his father hadn’t tainted the memory of hugs as a child. The ‘she looks like you’ scene still happens but it’s platonic. Adrien is bouncing and excited in all the Ladrien scenes because BEST FRIEND! RIGHT THERE!!!

Gigantian – the girls don’t do the date thing and are just doing each others’ hair for fun. Alya keeps insisting that Mari do something about her ‘crush’ but the other girls take Marinette’s side and she quits arguing while she’s ahead. Adrien wanders off which is how the akuma glances off Gorilla, then Mari pretends to be sick in the bathroom while going out to become LB

Glaciator – Marinette is upset because her BFF can’t go but she doesn’t get mad so no akuma

Gorilla – Marinette doesn’t really like the commercial because it doesn’t really fit the pun-loving dork that is her BFF but she still manages to be late to the pool then runs around with her BFF in her PJs which she isn’t embarrassed about. She gets mad on Adrien’s behalf when ppl call her his gf

Captain Hardrock – Mari gets a bit of a crush on Luka, Adrien 100% teases her and gives her bad dating advice

Syren – Adrien is upset that he’s out of the loop, but LB told him that she CAN’T tell him and it isn’t her choice to so he doesn’t throw a fit. He does detransform to talk out his feelings with Plagg but he doesn’t threaten to remove the ring or anything

Troublemaker, she has photos of all her classmates on her wall (she actually has the most of Juleka as proof of her picture curse being broken) and she has all her classmates’ schedules because class pres

Reverser – Nathaniel actually apologizes. Like that’s my only change tbh. I ship them but the writers should have included an apology scene, that’s on them (I fully believe Nathaniel apologized but the writers didn’t care enough to include it so f them)

Frozer – they all go to the rink as friends. Adrien invited Kagami for fun and they’re both trying to help Mari with Luka. Kagaminette friendship from that episode onward

Catalyst and Mayura – Alya’s headstrong-ness and Nino’s willingness to do what she says is what brings them down, to show their flaws beforehand. Chloe’s redemption isn’t thrown away like in canon so she has gotten better. CN recognizes his father’s voice but doesn’t react to it because he doesn’t want to expose himself. After Hero’s Day, he tells LB he knows who HM is and accidentally spills his identity – but she doesn't care at the moment because her BFF needs a hug. He doesn’t know LB’s identity but she knows his

Timebreaker, Evillustrator, Mr. Pidgeon, Darkblade, Princess Fragrance, The Mime, Pixelator, Guitar Villain, Reflecta, Kung Food, The Puppeteer, Antibug, Riposte, Robostus, Dark Owl, Sapotis, Gorilla, Frightningale, Zombizou, Queen Wasp, Maledictator, Anansi, Style Queen, and Despair Bear are the same just no lovesquare romance

Chameleon – Adrien doesn’t say the bull about the High Road, because he reconizes Lila is hurting Marinette. “But look at it this way – Ladybug calmly asked her to stop lying. I calmly asked her to stop lying. She gets akumatized no matter what. I think exposing her would just get us more trouble. We should stand up for ourselves, of course, but let the others realize for themselves that she’s a liar. Or at least wait until Hawkmoth is defeated before you expose her. Then she won’t get any superpowers out of it.”

At some point after that Mari says smth that LB said and he realizes who she is but that’s up to the writer to decide because then Damian Wayne enters the scene!

So Mari knows who HM is but she doesn’t know where to begin with that information so she asks Tikki for help. Tikki says one of her previous LBs are still alive and Mari contacts Hippolyta with magic

Hippolyta contacts Wonder Woman and WW realizes this may be better suited to someone who knows humans better so she passes the message along to Bruce

Bruce sighs and rubs his temple. He decides to send Damian

BTW time is actually passing through these episodes so everyone is about a month-ish apart so Mari is 15 almost 16 and Adrien is 16 now

Bruce sends Damian to help them with the final takedown of HM and Mayura

hmm, just an outside perspective since the ninjago tag had a day today, simply being annoyed by people cluttering the tag with useless countdowns is one thing, and I'll agree that there's plenty of them in this fandom who take their perceived status a bit too seriously, but getting legitimately afraid of a Tumblr post and having to announce that you're "valid" just because you don't feel the need to manage your own emotions sounds like a you problem tbh

Idk what all this is about being afraid of a tumblr post. That was never the issue here. And I really don't think you know the whole context of what's going on here based on the latter half of your paragraph. But in a basic sense, you're right. It is a me problem. I have to deal with it, and I don't expect anyone else to do anything about it. Never asked them to.

But a lot of people (including you) seem insistent on coming into my space and telling me how to deal with this me problem. And at that point, it kinda becomes a them problem to.

I'm sick of people telling me that I don't know how to manage my emotions just because I choose to express negative ones when I have them.

Look, I'm done with this. I vented. I got it out of my system. I've said what I needed to say. My opinion is known, so I'm ready to move on. Things aren't going to change, I know that. The only thing keeping it going at this point is anons like you.

Gonna put this under a cut because there’s always a full story with me lol

I originally started a blog because I was lonely while my mum was away from home recovering from a very bad broken ankle (multiple surgeries, metal in her leg, she’s since recovered but it still gives her issues.) Due to her not being able to get up and down stairs, she was staying at my grandparents, and I was on my own in the condo for the very first time, essentially living completely on my own like the college student I would become, since I graduated HS in 2012.

2012 was my last year of high school, and I had either drifted away from or actively pushed away my friends irl (untreated depression, anxiety, PTSD, undiagnosed ASD, and dealing with it all by huffing and cutting meant I was a real asshole lmao, putting it mildly.) But with my mum gone, that meant I was going days without talking to anyone aside from a teacher or two, and even my introverted ass needs to talk on occasion.

I knew nothing of Tumblr, but I had recently started watching Dr. Who at that point, and reading the chapter books written for the series, so I blogged about that at first. When Sherlock came around, I got into it briefly, then got pissed about the shitty writing and have an intense dislike for Steven Moffat to this day (stay off my lawn, Steven. I’ll fight you via script writing.)

I was also dipping my toes into the LOTR and Hobbit fandom at that time (I even briefly rp’d as Elrond w/someone on here. All gen rp, don’t hold it against me lol. But I dipped out of that fast, there was a shit ton of drama I didn’t want to deal with.) Made some great friends there that unfortunately either aren’t on here anymore or rarely post, but I hope they’re all well!

Those were my ‘big three’ for the longest time. Way back at the start I also dipped a bit into Supernatural, but again...shit writing made me fall out of love w/it pretty fast. Funny enough, I did watch it long enough to get my mum into it, and she’s still a fan. It got her through a painful part of her life, so even if I don’t like it anymore, I give it props for helping her like that. I also mingled in the Star Trek fandom some, but just a bit.

Before I got into the Pacific and everything I blog about now, I had a period of just...like nothing. I reblogged random shit on my dash, had like no tags or decent organization, and considered deleting but realized I liked having access to a community where I could meet new people, since that’s not really a thing in my home town or anywhere else irl. Tumblr has its shit, but what community doesn’t? I’m happy to still be here, and grateful that I was able to build any readership for my writing here. I don’t think I could have done that on any other site for sure. it also essentially gave me a place to vent and work on myself where no one except the ppl on here could see it, which was a gift too.

I didn’t envision having this blog by this age, but I also thought I’d be dead by now (tbh still kind of shocked I’m not lmao. That doesn’t feel real all the time, but that’s for another post.) Despite everything, it’s nice to still be going, still be on here, and to have found the fandoms I have (like Queen-I was always a fan since I was young, but I had no idea there was an extension of the fandom on here, and I’m so glad I found it!!)

My first fandoms are def what the kids call ‘cringe’ (or not, maybe, idk I’m 25 w/no kids and I live like I’m fifty, I fully admit I have only the barest idea of what ‘the kids’ do now. As long as they’re safe and having fun and not getting traumatized by shit like rotten.com like I was when I was younger lmao) but overall? They gave me an outlet to do something other than hate myself and fear for my future, and I give them kudos for that.

That’s p much it though, my Tumblr/fandom history lol.

1. FIRST NAME: i used to go by my middle name, nina, but now i go by pacifica or paci.

2. STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF: i have a bunch of weird ailments that honestly are just wild. like sometimes my nerves make me spasm or collapse or i’ll become hyperflexible. my kidneys decided they were lonely so they are... snuggled together... and i’ve had cancer a few times. it’s exhausting.

3. TOP THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE ON A PERSON: - smile / facial features. outside of aesthetics, you can tell if someone is superficial or genuine through the intensity of their smile, or if they’re fabricating their appearance or background. i wouldn’t want someone to pretend for me. i want them to be how they are. - personal care. i don’t have preferences on hair / grooming outside of being well-kempt. file your nails & clean them ( like if ur a mechanic or factory worker or other types of physical labor, i get it-- but like an office worker with black nails? ick ), brush/comb/finger detangle/style your hair, make sure your clothes are reasonably presentable... clean, like you actively tried to come up with an ensemble. - physique. not saying people need to be like 8 pack or straight out the gym. nor am i saying i need someone to be like mega massive or mega thin. but preferably someone who like... is comfortable in the skin they’re in, and cares about their body. at the least, cares about what goes in their body and how much their body does for them.

4. A FOOD YOU COULD EAT FOREVER AND NOT GET BORED OF: haribo snacks.

5. A FOOD YOU HATE: i cannot handle the smell of mustard or mayonnaise. i will literally walk out of a room.

6. GUILTY PLEASURE: i try to cut out needless carbs and snack foods, but y’all........ throw some good naan or pita at me and i’m a sucker. i love my hot cheetos and takis, pls don’t take them from me.

7. WHAT DO YOU SLEEP IN: a sweater and panties tbh. i’ve turned into that basic single person in their 20s. if i’m cold i’ll throw on sweatpants too.

8. SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS OR FLINGS: i vastly prefer serious relationships, but there’s got to be a lot of build up to it for me to pursue someone in that manner. that being said, idk why, apparently i seem unapproachable or intimidating, but i’ve always had to ask out the person i liked.... ask me out first, u fools. i’ve tried to do flings but like i always feel guilty afterward bc i’m not invested, i just pretend hoping maybe i’ll fool myself in the process and i don’t lmao. that being said, it’s been like over a year since i’ve last dated, and two years had passed between that partner and the previous one.

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN THE PAST AND CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WOULD YOU AND WHAT WOULD IT BE: nothing. maybe switch my triple minor to an interdisciplinary double major because that sounds cooler in this point in my life. but other than that? i feel like i did well with the cards that were handed to me. they shaped me into who i am now. and now i’m trying to continue to be a person past me would be proud of. i want to live a life with little to no regrets. to pursue everything i can while i have the opportunity to.

10. ARE YOU AN AFFECTIONATE PERSON: physically, yes. emotionally, it depends. my coworkers are always either thrilled to see me or are like “ it’s paci being over the top cute. ” i love coming into the room to give hugs or do random acts of service or to shower someone with surprise gifts just to say i appreciate them. however, i can be emotionally distant at times and i don’t like to involve people into things. i still feel guilty on most occasions when i vent, even though i know it’s healthy to do. i feel like it’s not other people’s responsibility to deal with my problems or have to endure them, even if it’s as little involvement as listening. such an attitude isn’t great, but... at least i can recognize that now? lmao. u know. baby steps. i’m still learning to trust and let people in. when my former best friend broke my heart it really messed me up in a lot of ways.

11. A MOVIE YOU COULD WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN: i love pocahontas, mulan, princess and the frog, and peter pan starring mary martin. i’ve been watching that specific peter pan since like..... birth......... and it’s still one of my favorite films.

DO YOU PLAY ANY VIDEO GAMES: y’all......... i wish i could be like ‘ i’m a gamer grl ’ but the truth is that i mainly collect games and say i’ll play them but it takes me a trillion years sfdgiohfgiohdf. my backlog is shameful. we don’t talk about that. that being said, i just took up ace attorney: spirit of justice this evening & i’ve been playing through kingdom hearts iii and yakuza 0 as of late.

DREAM JOB: to write poetry & creative nonfiction at my leisure dfogihdohg. travelling writer, sharing about cultures all over the world & the beauty of interaction. very whimsical, i know! i also love studying languages and culture...... so it’s no question writing, sociology, cultural anthropology and linguistics were/are my fields of study.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS: pay off my loans, throw like half of it in savings for it to grow, give some to my mum bc she deserves to live comfortably, and..... take some time off work to just relax and rediscover myself. while work does give me purpose, it also takes away from my creative pursuits so like... that blows.

he loves drama (he won’t admit this except sarcastically), which means he blows things out of proportion, takes things personally, and honestly instigates things (though i think he’s not fully aware he has this habit). he loves gossip. he’s a bit of a troll, which isn’t always bad but can land him in hot water. he’s competitive and that leads him to bad situations. he consistently picks bad people to hang out with bc frankly he’s into the “bad guy” thing despite him being pretty emotionally soft if we’re honest.

▸ HAS YOUR MUSE LOST ANYONE CLOSE TO THEM ? HOW HAS IT AFFECTED THEM ?

since he was middle aged (kinda old) when he was turned, ankur had lost most of his close family while he was alive. his father, mother, and older brother died when ankur was in his 20s. one of his sisters died near the time of his turning as well. ankur’s wife is dead (as a result of his vampirism). his children have also long since died of various causes. furthermore, being ~1600 means he’s lost people he’s cared about several times since then, including other humans and other vampires.

as a result, ankur is terribly lonely and frankly, pretty miserable with the whole immortality thing (tbf he didn’t start off very well lol). though his tendencies so far have been to cling to affection/intimacy whenever possible, he’s starting to become a bit more hesitant to do so, as he’s getting pretty tired of losing people too. tl;dr- he’s sad :(

▸ WHAT ARE SOME FOND MEMORIES YOUR MUSE HAS ?

he misses his kids and his wife- a lot of his favorite memories were with them. a lot of his nice vampiric memories have to do with individuals he liked (though these are always tinged with sadness) and, perhaps unsurprisingly, a lot of the interactions he’s had with other artists.

▸ IS IT EASY FOR YOUR MUSE TO KILL ?

yes and no- it mostly depends on circumstances. he generally tries not to kill whenever possible, but has violent tendencies in his more depressive episodes, wherein it’s very very easy for him to kill (but then he feels bad about it)

▸ WHAT’S IT LIKE WHEN YOUR MUSE BREAKS DOWN ?

after a very dramatic display of emotion, ankur tends towards self-isolation and apathy; he’ll very literally hole himself up somewhere and just sit there, unmoving, for a while. he has self-destructive tendencies. interestingly, vent art helps him feel better.

▸ IS YOUR MUSE CAPABLE OF TRUSTING SOMEONE WITH THEIR LIFE ?

sure, but that’s because he doesn’t care about his own life lol.

▸ WHAT’S YOUR MUSE LIKE WHEN THEY’RE IN LOVE ?

annoying! he’s very romantic, affectionate, and adoring. he’s a gusher (aka will tell anyone that asks about how great his partner is) and is honestly pretty sweet as a lover. at his worst, he can be overbearing/clingy. but he is very soft and frankly, very vulnerable. also, if it’s unrequited, he can be outright pathetic, it’s pretty bad.
