Как с острой едой дела обстоят у триадных?~

Роу - запивает острую курицу пивом, приглушённо матерясь, и отлично себя чувствует. В целом способен переваривать еду любого срока хранения и остроты, возможно, вместе с упаковкой. Абсолютно точно несколько раз на спор ел что-то вроде табаско - и ВЫИГРЫВАЛ спор.

Хуан, вероятно, не слишком любит, потому что острые сильные запахи специй, часто ещё и жирно, ещё и изжога будет, с его-то гастритом, и вообще не находит прикола в том, чтобы пытаться не разрыдаться над тарелкой. Его максимум - что-то пряное, типа маринованных морепродуктов.

Эйден хоть жареные гвозди может есть - организм позволяет. А вообще они с Роу похожи с "на спор", оба азартные и на слабо их лучше не брать. А так острую еду любит, но скорее съест что-то вроде чипсов, шоколадок и прочей химозной дряни или добавит острого соуса себе в тарелку.

Хотя если Роу возьмёт большое ведëрко острой курицы - не откажется, но про возраст и любовь к классике пошутит. В целом, Роу и Эйден не совпадают с Хуаном по пищевым привычкам.

У Хуана просто отдельная полка в холодильнике, с тех пор, как он увидел, как Эйден мажет его безобразно дорогой козий сыр с плесенью на тост и сверху капает джемом.

Роу тот мудак, который заливает карбонару кетчупом и перемешивает - если он не любит креветки, то сделает так, чтобы их не чувствовать в своей тарелке. Если Роу что-то не нравится - он зальёт это кетчупом и съест, потому что хули еду переводить.

(Да, это тот же человек, который ударит вас кухонным полотенцем, если вы предложите ему мариновать лосося в прованских травах два, а не три часа.)

И он не понимает выебонов высокой кухни, да, даже если француз. Еда должна быть ТЁПЛОЙ, СЫТНОЙ и пахнуть как ЕДА, Хуан, убери свои вонючие носки со стола, это не сыр, сыр у нас в холодильнике, а это хуйня вонючая.

Эйден готов съесть всë, но Хуану стоит держать свой сыр при себе, потому что стоит отвернуться, и парень порежет его себе на бутеры толстыми ломтиками.

Роу и Хуан знают по несколько рецептов из национальной кухни - по базовому набору - вуаля и все сыты. У Роу в целом с готовкой, например, несколько сложных хороших рецептов и стандартный набор яйца-бекон-тосты-каша-скинуть мясо и овощи в форму и считать это запеканкой.

А вот у Эйдена национальная пилигримская - поймайте зайца и сожрите сырым. Для вкуса можете посыпать листиками дикорастущего шпината, если найдёте. То есть, всё, что движется или не движется, но потенциально съедобно.

it takes a really long time to unlearn but there's no such thing as "cheating" or "half-assing" being a person. if you need to leave the cabinet doors open, leave them open. microwave your tea. sit down in the shower. buy the eggmaker. use your phone to calculate tip.

it's mostly fake posterity rules. who cares if you microwave your dinners. who cares if you use instant coffee. who cares if you stop watching the show that got boring. we all have a different set of skills and a different life and taking care of yourself is fucking hard.

at the end of your life there will be no final scoreboard. nobody is going to judge you because you brushed your teeth in the shower. there will be no final count of the number of times you had the same meal five nights in a row. there will be no fanfare or party because you won at being a person - and no one will be disappointed that you never understood the point of using paper towels to dry your hands off after washing them.

yeah, in this world, people will put up a fuss. i've noticed some of the biggest fusses are over what you'll put in/on your body. the fact that i will regularly eat deli meat straight out of the bag makes a lot of people genuinely concerned for me. but here's the thing: sometimes that's the only way i'm getting any protein. my doctor says i am doing fine. i'm sticking to my weird snacks and calling it deconstructed charcuterie.

they'll say they're horrified because you take a shortcut. that's fine. it's just that it looks like a shortcut to them because they're on a different life path. these kinds of things stand out to them as important. that's fine too. but for you? you've got other things that already make you pretty hard working. and these tiny things - well, they're just clutter on your journey.

It's fun to talk to people about Princess Tutu and often hear either 'the first half of the show is such a slog' or 'the second half of the show is such a slog'. Princess Tutu is a fun magical girl anime because people who are not magical girl fans might like it because of its darker themes but complain about the magical girl aspects, and magical girl fans might like it because of its magical girl aspects but complain about the darker themes. To fully achieve enlightenment and appreciate Princess Tutu as a whole you must realize that the fact that it's a magical girl show is not a hindrance but an asset to its dark themes, and that the dark themes are not a hindrance but an asset to it being a magical girl show. Both the first and second half of the show fuck hard is what I'm saying. But also it's fun to be able to immediately clock at least part of someone's taste in media by hearing them talk about which half of Princess Tutu they preferred.

with the amount that the main series dunks on the forbidden cities i would just love for unraveled to be just an unabashed celebration of humanity. like yes there is poverty and pollution and crime but also there is dancing and music and rollercoasters and scary movies. let keefe discover the beauty here! the first book was all about the wonder of the lost cities but unraveled could be all about the wonder of the forbidden cities
