the unraveled cover broke me, who knows how much fan art i've drawn and I managed ti have only drawn Keefe three times total. However.....yall I had to redesign him

Okay I get what ppl are saying about it not really fitting is aesthetically with the other books but. I love that. It’s fitting, actually. Because while the OG cover and the cover of Legacy take place in human cities, unraveled isn’t just IN a human city—keefe is literally pretending to be human and blending in and trying to lead a normal life. So it’s flatter. There’s humans around. He’s trying to blend in. And that wisp of light in the corner? It’s faded, but it’s symbolic, because Keefe is always tied to where he came from even while trying to escape it.
Keefe’s face itself is never done justice on the covers so that part doesn’t bother me.
All in all, I do like this cover. I respect you if you don’t. But in my opinion. It’s quite good actually

I think part of why the cover is so jarring is that he's just some guy.
Like all the other covers have power poses or action shots and in this one Keefe is in a coming of age movie poster standing straight up surrounded by people standing straight up in a scene that is completely relatable except the Horrors

okay now that I'm thinking about it, try imagining a person who has never read kotlc seeing this cover in the bookstore.
without context, this cover is low-key crazy 😭 like, why is there a VERY suspicious person in the middle of it and why is the blond boy staring at us? why is this book promoting stalking and kidnapping on the cover? where is the direction of this book going? is it a thriller or yaoi disguised as a thriller?
