Someone brought up the confessions of Sofitz vs. Sokeefe and I started thinking about it and how different each scenario was and why I felt like Sokeefe’s was better.

The Sofitz confession was cute but the thing that was different was that Sophie never openly admits to having a crush on Fitz until the last minute. Correct me if I’m wrong but up until the last moments before the confession it has always been been implied that Sophie had a crush on Fitz. Her blushing, and her heart rate picking up, but she never fully admitted that she had feelings even to herself. She never openly stated she would have liked to be in a relationship with Fitz. It isn’t until they are both in the Everglen ballroom that Sophie states she needs to get over this crush, which is like the first time she ever admits she has/had a crush on him. This adds to the whole idea of her feeling uncomfortable and rushed because she felt like she didn’t have time to think things through before confessing.

On the other hand with the Sokeefe confession, Sophie had a week/weeks to think over her feelings about Keefe. Obviously there were other signs of her having a crush on him. Her protectiveness over him, the blushing, the heart rate spiking, but again she never openly admitted it/ acknowledged it herself. It isn’t until Ro pushes her, not the best way but, it isn’t until she is pushed to realize her feelings that she starts admitting things. Sophie starts to realize Keefe would be a good boyfriend and she has time to think it through. She has time to feel uncomfortable without him being around and has time to figure out exactly what she wants without pressure of hurting his feelings because he’s not there. This recognition of feelings for him is what makes the whole confession more heartwarming because we know it is fully reciprocated and thought out on both ends.

at this point, shannon should just tell us to be patient and wait for a book for 2-3 years. I LOVE the idea of a Keefe POV and an extra lil book, but it feels more like a money grab/publicity move than a treat for fans while we wait… just my opinion and I’m still reading it obvi (that’s kind of the point, that I have to read it even if I didn’t want/like the concept)

People say Sofitz is toxic as if Sokeefe isnt..

“I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” is so SoFitz in Legacy, then “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?” is Sophie in Stellarlune.
