I’m a survivor of sexual assault. I’ve survived being assaulted multiple times and at the hands of more than one person. 15 years ago today is the assault that changed me. I was done being a victim. Years after that I started speaking out. At some point I may stop posting on this milestone but I will never stop trying to help others find their voice or start their journey from victim to survivor. I was fascinated about how fast the clouds moved and would try to make out what shapes they formed. Occasionally, I would see an aeroplane fly by. My imagination would roam "freely". Be a pilot. Should we regain control of our imagination?

Forgot to post this on Wednesday. 13 years ago I was sexually assaulted. I decided on that day to completely give up alcohol. I always get nervous posting my milestone but I need to speak out. I want to help others who are healing and let them know they are not alone. I’m a survivor. I live a sober life. I’m proud of who I am.
